Welcome to Nify Pack Daily for Tuesday, june twenty third, twenty twenty six. I'm your host Chance Miller We are sponsored this week by Roboock Leading off today, Vision OS twenty seven brings a variety of new features to Apple Vision Pro with Siri AI being the single biggest upgrade. But interestingly, there are two Vision OS twenty seven features that owners of the original Vision Pro model will miss out on When Vision OS twenty seven ships this fall, it'll be available on all Apple Vision Pro models That includes the model with the M two chip first released in February of twenty twenty four as well as the M five version released last October The majority of new features are supported on the original M two Vision Pro as well That means Si AI, the ability to turn panoramas into spatial scenes, the redesigned control center, and more Siri AI, as we've talked about before, is a huge upgrade over the old Siri And it truly shines on Apple Vision Pro, which is a voice first platform But there's one Si feature that Apple now says is exclusive to the M five Vision Pro And that's voice customization The new Siri AI system offers rich voice customization features that let you choose the expressivity and pace of Siries's voice and tune it to your liking this new feature depends on Apple's most advanced on device AI model AFM three core advanced The M two Vision Pro cannot run this on device model So in addition to missing out on Siri voice customization Original Apple Vision Pro owners will also likely experience slower Apple intelligence performance because the device will be more dependent on private cloud compute Next up today, in addition to the major changes in IOS twenty seven, it's also full of excellent, smaller quality of life improvements One change that went under the radar until now is that IOS twenty seven makes it easier to update your Apple TV firmware IOS twenty seven adds support for installing Apple TV software updates via the homeome app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac This means that if Apple releases a new version of TVOS, you no longer have to physically go to your Apple TV to update it. You can now do so simply by opening the Apple homeome app. Choosing your Apple TV and installing the update from there It's very similar to the process of installing a HomePod software update This is a small change, but one that will make it easier to stay on top of Apple TV's software updates. You can of course still rely on auto updates for TVOS, but that's not always a reliable system This integration into the homeome app lets you check to see if you have any Apple TV software updates available thenen begin the installation process from right there. spponsored this week by Robaock If you're looking to upgrade your cleaning routine for Pime dayay, now is a great time Roborock is offering limited time deals across its lineup of robot vacuums and wet dry vacuums with savings of up to one thousand five hundred dollars. Typically, the second beta of a major new IOS release isn't all that exciting because it was actually finalized before IOS twenty seven was announced two weeks ago App typically works with around a two to three week lead time with these updates So that means that IOS twenty seven beta three will be the bigger beta release and will include changes in response to the feedback of IOS twenty seven so far But nonetheless, there are a couple of things in IowOS twenty seven beta two worth highlighting First, the new beta adds a new feature to Apple Wallet called insights for users in the United States. Apple Wallet has long been the digital home for credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and other financial tools But in IiOS twenty seven, Apple is giving you this insights feature to help you better track your money The feature was available in IowOS twenty seven Ba one in certain parts of the world, including in the UK This week's beteta two release brings it to the US. for the first time. After updating to the new beta, if you tap the three dots icon in the top right corner of the wallet app, you'll see a new insights option With the inssights feature, you can connect accounts to Apple Wallet to see spending insights, recurring transactions, account balances, and more You can get a glimpse at the Insights feature at the link in the show notes below The interface for insights might look familiar if you use Apple's health app as it strongly resembles some of the visualization features there for things like activity, steps and sleep And now with IOS twenty seven, that same concept of organizing and visualizing your data is coming to Apple Wallet and your spending IOS twenty seven Ba two also includes our first look at the new write with Siri features, which replace the standalone writing tools feature introduced as part of IOS eighteen As of IOS twenty seven beta two When editing text, your iPhone's keyboard will now prompt you to write with Siri This allows you to ask Siri using a natural language request to generate new text, proofread something you already wrote rewrite a document that you're looking at into another style and more The older Writing tools interface had dedicated buttons like Make it friendly and Make it prorofessional that has been removed in favor of this new Wite with series system. When you tap on the new option above the keyboard, an input field expands from the dynamic island and ask you to enter a description of what you want to do with the current text document So for example, if you ask Siri to rewrite a document that already has content in it It will make the changes, then present a new panel at the bottom of the screen giving you an option to review the changes that it made You can also trigger these features without pressing a button on the keyboard at all You can just use your voice and ask the voice assistant to perform different tasks based on the text that's currently on the screen The new write with Siri features are also available in MacOS Golden Gate and iPad OS twenty seven That wraps up another episode of Nine to five Mac Daily. As always, you can find all of the latest Apple news on nine to fiveback. com. Follow along with me on threads at Chance H Miller And we'll be back tomorrow for a new episode of Nighty five Mac daily
