And if you've never been, picture the part of the map most people forget is even there past spokane Were you climb into Stehvens in Pendoray County? Did I say that right Pondere Pondereay. see, I had to ask Forest and you'll know why in a second. upp past Fpokane. you climb into Stehvens and Pondoray County. The Selkirk Mountains, long river valleys, timber towns and old mining claims, and then the Canadian border Great place to live if you're an astronomer, though, dark skies at night. Forest you'll have to tell us if that's correct. I heard that you sometimes frequent vague areas roughly surrounding that region. Yes, I know the area you're speaking of fairly well. Although that corner up there again, our listener here, our author for tonight is not saying which town they're from, but theres there's a handful that are of some note, especially if you live in the region So I'd have to know specifically because it's a fairly large state, Washington state, midsize, I would say But there's a few towns up there One of which is Medeline Falls. Now have you heard of the movie The Postman with Kevin Costner I have not only heard of it, I have brought it up many times on the show because it is one of my favorite apocalyptic movies which is a genre that I particularly enjoy for some weird reason. Really Oh I'm concerned now that I'm gonna to be in it pretty soon, you're going to be living it but yes. Yeah I'm be living. But I love the postman. I really like that movie. So yes, I also enjoy the postman. I only have one complaint about this a film where he where he gets the postman outfit off the off the skeleton here that he finds. Yeah in the overturn postal truck and there is a there's a zippo lighter in the guy's pocket. if I remember correct Yeah. Yeah And it lights up for him. It's like, no, that thing would have dried out in about a week Right. So yeah they should have made it a bick, but a bick's not as sexy as a zippo. So I a little bit of a cinematic license. anyyway, so That whole area is beautiful It's got a lot of history and a lot of folks that are from the region will probably have some relatives up there But one thing I was going to say is that yes, you have Medeline Falls. That's probably the largest town that's in squarely in that upper right hand corner the northeast corner of the state, but a lot of folks will know some of these small towns if you're from the area I own Tiger Of course poondnder as you mentioned all within the Cville National Forest, Cville itself It's rural but also wooded and just lovely up there. And there is a lot of great sky watching, a lot of great camping places. again, a lot of Pacific Northwest history through there with mining and railroads and such. But I don't know how much aerial phenomenon that I'd actually heard of having grown up in the general region there, because you'd hear stories occasionally, but nothing like this, even though as we'll find out here shortly that it's maybe not a very expansive story, but It's a very significant occurrence, very strange. but momentarily brief or is it. And the other thing that's interesting is this area is connected to the Cold War in a fascinating way. and also the military in general, right? Spokane does have its famed Fairchild Air Force base where my grandfather had worked for a while I' mentioned him before having worked there. He was in World War twoo and was a military man, you could say. But also he was chief of fuels for the base there, I think in the fifties into the early sixties. And so at that time. and when I was of high school age It was known in the area for its B fifty two bombers. So yeah. yeah, it's just kind of on the west side of Spokane You know, they have radar that watches Northern approaches because yeah, for forty five years from nineteen forty seven to nineteen ninety two It was a SackAabase or strategic air command So yeah, they had bombers and tankers and now it's a refueling air wing the ninety second here That's been in place since nineteen ninety four when they switched over because of course. the strategic air command and its tactical abilities, you know, that's all changed, of course, with the next generation of bombers and fighters and all that Yeah. So that's been a little I guess a little over thirty years and we're recording this. but yeah, they have the Lockheed Martin Casey one hundred thirty refueling planes and so it's known for that Yeah Yeah Well and this is all of this is part of what's interesting. It adds context to the dead letter tonightight. Tonight's story takes place in the mid eighties. Our sendnder Daniel was only eight or nine years old At the time and by the mid eighties, Fairchild was still a full sack base. And as for said, B fifty two's tankers on nuclear alert around the clock Right up until nineteen ninety two. so It's a busier sky than you might imagine. possibly certainly a lot of people paying attention to it for professional and military reasons. You know, it was the usual amount, I would say. We didn't see a whole lot of weird activity. occasionally get, of course, military aircraft. and if you've ever heard jets fly by They have a different distinctive scouring sound Yes. Rick that kind of a Yes, that kind of a noise and then The other ones are real high flyers, probably cruising at fifty, maybe sixty thousand feet and you could barely see the spec. The only thing that was, uh strange from Last month and I told Scott about this when I was happening. I was doing some yard work and Weirdly, it was like a scene from Pluravus.s Gilligan thing where like now there's like ten, I kept counting it like ten, fifteen Maybe twenty high flyers all going the same direction heading west And then you wnder like, okay, what's going on? Like should I be concerned So so occasionally nothing strange and that's pretty mundane. you know, there's obviously some operation going on, but So yeah, currently as everyone should know, the whole country's discussing about what's where what's going on where What secrets are being held? Deep underground military bases or dums, they say and some activity. and I do know In the south of the state near the Columbia River, they did have the Chemical weapons base there or depot. Not sure if that's still operational, but I remember it was like maybe ten, fifteen years ago, there was some hullabalu because There was some leakage. You don't want your VX nerve gas getting out into the air around there, especially in a windy area like that. So There was one great story about that area and that base and depot actually being haunted as well from a Jim Herold story. and know reference those a lot, but those always stick with me about a couple of security guys at that depot on on security detail seeing some very strange things, which you don't equate the two because like, well, that's a military thing. they don't put up with that. like, well, it happens where it happens But yeah, it's just one of those things where we're hearing testimony now There's skiffs, there's hearing rooms And the additional context for all this is that There could be more than just military activities going on there that a civilians aren't aware of. Yeah, we all know what likes to hang out when there's nuclear weapons around. So we do sometimes apparently get visitors Well, I think I think I'm on tap to read this one, sir With all of the UFO UAP talk in the news lately, it has me thinking about my own story I thought I would share In nineteen eighty five, I was in third grade, probably nine years old This was up in Northeast Washington State on a clear night right after the sun had gone down for the day It was a warm evening. I remember having the window down and the air temp dropping as the sun disappeared As far as I can remember, we were driving on a frontage road with little to no other traffic heading home after a visit with family Suddenly, the valley was bathed in emerald green light. It was intense and covered everything. I went to shield my eyes and I remember the light being pervasive and breaking through my fingers then Nothing I don't remember anything after that. I don't remember ever discussing it with my mom or anyone else. And as the years went on, I kind of chalked it up to just being a kid. Maybe I was just misreembering. Maybe I'd seen something like that in a movie and just appropriated the memory I know that memory is a tricky thing and sometimes especially when you're young, it's just not reliable I love the thought experiments surrounding alien life. It's very interesting to me, and I've always loved sci fi books and movies Although I'm pretty convinced that there has to be other life out in the universe, I don't know if I believe every UFO UAP reporter eyewitness account. The recent activity with disclosure is certainly compelling, but I continue to be skeptical about alien life visiting our littleittle blue dot Having said all that My story has a strange book into it I don't live close to my family currently, and although I don't regularly converse with my mom about everything, my sister does The two are close and they spend a lot of time together It was a couple of months ago when I was sitting next to my sister, having a chat over some lunch while we were both in town visiting the family There'd been some chatter about UFO UAP stuff because of the news Probably because of the congressional hearings, and the topic came up She said, quote, Yeah, mom always talks about the time that you two saw that UFO I was stunned We had honestly never discussed it. and I really had thought it was just my imagination all these years I approached my mom about it and asked her directly. Her only response was Son, I don't remember the rest of the night either. The unknown beckons will answer its call after these messages Astonishing Legends is brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Well, There's a story that I love because Most or many would say it's a small incident Probably misreembered by a child And underneath the surface it's the, that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a whole lot of iceberg underneath, I think. You know, I have to agree with you because like it's one of those things where it has these mitigating factors. like these things are happening. littleittle things have happened massively change the context of the story really? becausecause if you're like, oh, well Yeah, the light was glowing and I put my hand in front of my face and then it went away. It's like, o, that's the story. And then but it's like A light was glowing and I put my hand in front of my face and it was so bright. It came through my hands but also I might have had missing time. And then it's like, but that's just I know I was a kid, whatever. I don't know. And then later we're like, okay, now we're with Sis. and Sis says, and I hadn't talked to mom about it in all these years and then Sis is like, You know mom talks about that time you saw the UFO, and it's like, what?, So that all of that together, even though this's like such a brief story, it's like that's a really compelling overview of the whole situation because you know, the first thing you think of and I've seen one of these before, maybe more than one in my lifetime, is the bolides, the green bes to the meteors that come down and they're bright green Wh I think might be because they u they're burning magnesium and I saw one of those once that honest to God was such a big fireball looking thing that it almost looked like a Monte Python effect. Like it was the most basic, like you would be like, oh, that's AI ' it was going kind of slow and it was fire was all around it. But it was a meteor. So. And the green ones are fairly common. and they're pretty bright, but I don't think it would be bright enough unless you were pretty close to it to glow through your hands if you had your hands in front of your face So I mean, that's one thing you think about. But then when you combine that with the fact that Mom said, you know, the night we saw the UFO. I feel like maybe there's some more details there for momom that I'd like to get. That's chapter two. Yeah, that's we should's What's going on there? and then they didn't talk about it for all these years, which again, for the shows that we've, I mean, the topics we've done with Paskagula and all these other stories of missing time and the experience that people are having where they don't want to talk about the thing almost subconsciously. It's not even necessarily a conscious decision. it just We're not going to talk about this anymore with the other person we were with, even if it's a close family member or a loved one That is right in line with the whole missing time thing, which is what I think is interesting about this. Now on the other hand, we talked about this in the cold open, youve got the military base there. There's probably all kinds of things that might be in the sky, military exercises lotots of things that are happening, but there's not a lot that fits into this category, I don't think. that at least as far as I can tell, and that's not just me conjecturing, that's based on research that we did associated with this episode as well. becausecause you know, whether you have flare, you know, old military flares like everybody tries to say the Phoenix lights word. It's like, yeah, not not necessarily in this case and a flare is not going to be that bright. evenven no, forget the color because they're not usually green, I don't think. But even if they were, it would have to be in the car with you, you know, to be I mean, here's the thing. it's like the I mean, this the other questions remains unanswered that I would love to know. and I don't think the F answers would know this Someone or some things might know parachute flare, a military parachute flare, you know, they don't last all that long. Right Because the idea is you're lighting up Your tango is here out in the field perimeter. you want to see where they're at The only last as long until I think the phosphorus in them will burn out. So it's not that long and it is bright, but it's usually high up in the air, right? It's not And it's not stationary. They're coming down. There's a little parachute And there's smoke that goes with it and it's which you can generally see reflecting above it and also in the, you know, underneath the canopy of the parachute. Exactly. And like you said, there may be some that are green. Now I just quickly looked up. I think it's also in our notes, but like, you know, what If you're looking for a mundane answer What metals burn green? Well, chemical compounds that can cause that something like copper chloride or copper sulfate, as we know, copper also burns green And you have fireworks that can burn green, of course. and treated lumber, old copper wires when you throw something like that in the fire, that can also have a color flame reaction And other things though, like berium orr boron Mlebdinum, I think, that burns with a yellowish green light Thallium, which is that's super highly toxic, but can burn with a bright green color, zinc or antimony and Tirium So these are things that are in the sky, but is that what would be airborne. Well, usually here if you just kind of Google it, it'll say it's usually caused by the vaporization of specific chemical elements that are entering Earth's atmosphere and the friction, of course, is lighting that up But they're also reacting with the air around it So some of these things in like meteors could be magnesium or nickel, barium Copper, something like electrical arcing can cause a bright light Things like exploding transformers might have a bright green flash just before a power outage. Is that what they saw? Well I've seen Transformers blow and ye it's a bright light, but it's very momentary. probablyrobably more. Yeah. Yeah. And then you know, things like boron compounds might have something called a chain reaction of magical fire But again, this is lasting too long. It's too strange of a reaction to those that experienced it And it might have a pop where a noise accompanies it. and I don't recall there being a sound associated with this. No, the sound isn't mentioned in the story anyway. And it's the other thing about this is like, you know, we saw a light and then we went home. That's very typical of again of a missing time incident. you know, and maybe there's a there's a really effective screen memory there that is blocking out the act of them possibly being removed from the car or something like that. Well, this is my first thought is that when you were reading the story Why are more details being remembered And again, the mother needs to expound on this I would love to hear. Yes. if she has anything further to add and may not, you know I should talked about a screen memory. and so I think something that came to mind immediately like, well, well, this is a child or a very young person. If you see something that's other worldly, but still worldly, let's say, it's justusual, like ball lightning, of course oright almost fire. It's magical. It's mystical. and it's captivating, but you usually don't zap out. you don't, you know gray out or pass out And I thought, if something like that which, let's say didn't have a An element of consciousness to it. You know what I'm saying? Like something caused or manufactured or caused to happen by some other conscious being or element you don't pass out and have a missing time episode But what if it was something very fantastical looking and it just overloaded the child's brain? That's kind of what I was getting at is that You know I'm saying?' just too much data and youre just going you notod off a second because it's too much to take in. Well, I've seen kind of crazy things as a child, but like they're all natural. but nothing is crazy as like ball lightning or Saintmost fire. but somethinghing mystical like that, you just pay attention, you're wrapp to it. you don't really zap out and also for the mother who is an adult and alsoso under the protection of their child where you're on a heightened sense of alertness and protection. You know what I'm saying? It's like you become hyper aware, you definitely want to protect your child from any harm, but At least in the case of the child, maybe they were overwhelmed So something I'll relay here, which is kind of odd and I still don't know what to make of it, but a very good friend of ours, which is slightly related, I promise She has a very good sense of intuition, I would say And she said that one time some it was like a visual thought or like a memory or some kind of scene playing out before her eyes or kind of in her mind's eye where I was a small child And I was turning my head and trying to shield my eyes from some very, very bright lights that were flashing or strobing or continuously on, but I was like not scared or frightened or trying to run away, but just like I want to look at this. This is the impression she told me of what I was feeling at that as being a child. and I know this sounds way out there. and they think so too. It was something that was very bright, but I wanted to look at it, but it was just too bright to look at directly. So I was kind of like shielding my eyes and turning my head Right. And that was it That was the whole thing. Now I will tell you, I have no memory or recollection of that or even the set upp to that, you know, where I saw something strange and then that happened. I don't remember the rest. So nothing like this story, but I will say connected to this as a child spent a lot of time in this region and also the grandparents had a place on the Spokane River And I do remember, you know with my aunt who was really into the UFO culture and lore of like the seventies. You know, one time we had these friends of hers that were on their way to the JRPA confference. Now I try to look it up and JRPA is it's an acronym. so J O R P A They gave me a t shirt which I gave to your son and I think it was Oh Yeah, yeah, we still have that. Oh you do Hang on to it because it's a collector's item by now And there's not much information online about this, but it was very nice older couple traveling in their big RV And they had all kinds of stories. Perhaps also some of the reason that I got interested in this genre But they just had all kinds of stories about, know UFOs at contact and that's where they were headed to other their way, I think to Oregon And I remember that night as a kid staying with my grandparents and just being up most of the night. worried and wondering about being abducted And this kindly older couple said nothing about abduction. That just popped into my head of like, oh my God, what if they do come I wouldd be so excited. I really want to see that. But I don't want to be taken off with them. I got school in a couple of weeks. Summer's going to end. and it was more practical stuff like I can't be abducted. Like that's not going to work out for my schedule. pllus I got I'm having fun here near the water, you know, for a couple of weeks in the summer and But it is also kind of frightening and worrying, but also I was enthralled by the idea. and for some reason, I thought that they would come down as bright lights over the water Right. And that's not a connection to what our friend said that they saw But also you do wonder, is that connected to that? Because again, I didn't have any missing time, but I remember just being unable to sleep that night. And so and the next day, they stayed in their RV overnight on the property And the next morning, I think they saw that I looked tired. They said, o I hope you didn't keep you up all night with our UFO stories. And like, Well, no, no, not really, but yes us they were aware that that might have an impact on me, but Getting back to this, it's like I have no recollection of any kind of event happening where I would just phase out like So I don't know what to make of that. Now this has a great setup because there is actually a very strong memory of this happening and then confirmed by the mother. Yeah. And so there's other natural things. getting to my point earlier about some things that can burn green, like a blowing transansformer. And it's bright, but it's very momentary. If you've ever seen that, it doesn't last for a minute There's a thing called the Green Fash. Now living in Los Angeles. that was an ongoing natural legend about the Green flash and as most folks know, is the sun is descending below the horizon over the water. at that very moment before the sun completely disappears There sometimes appears like a green horizontal flash. In fact, there's even a local micro brew called the Green flash. Right. I remember that. Yeah. So it's kind of a known thing. It's for Hawaii, too. I remember the times that I've been Hawaii, everybody's like, Ohh, we gott to go check out the sunset. It might be a green flash Right. So there's an example of something that's a natural environmental phenomena which I think, A few years ago, there was some scientific theory on They think why it might happen and some more research on it and an explanation and not looked it up because it's not completely directly related to this, but There you go, But it wasn't so bright that it shines through the skin and bone and flesh of your hands It's just kind of a far off thing on the horizon. It's like, well, that's kind of cool look at. And again, my point is that you're enthralled with it, you don't zap out So this is something that kind of happens naturally. This is something different Well, that's really interesting. You've already mentioned that the magnesium burns green along with all those other elements and that there's green bolides are a real thing. I've seen them myself and I'm sure many of you out there have seen them But back in the late forties There was a whole wave of them that showed up where they really shouldn't have Right. And this is the part that investigators are still talking about to this day. So starting in late nineteen forty eight People all over New Mexico start reporting these vivid green fireballs I mean a lot of them, okay, And they're not behating like normal meteors, right? That's all your favorite expressions, non ballistic motion Yes. They were not doing that, which means in a straight line as as gravity and trajectory and the propulsion take a solid object and hurl it through the sky That wasn't the case here Witnesses describe these things as intensely green, silent moving on strange like almost horizontal paths And in this case, there were witnesses, pilots, weather observers, some scientists and intelligence officers. And these sightings were clustering around two very specific spots Los Alabos and Sandia The labs where the country was literally building uclear arsenal. Right. So in this case, they're turning up over these nuclear installations several times a month and hardly anywhere else, at least weren't reported anywhere else at the time. So in nineteen forty nine The Air Force quietly started a covert investigation called Project Twinkle to figure out what they were And they brought in somewhat famous for people in Uthology, Lincoln La Paz, one of the best meteor experts in the world. This is a famous study and it was covert then, but this is now a very well known. And even he came away doubting that these were ordinary meteors. He thought they moved too slowly and they didn't leave the kind of trail he'd expect. R H official answer landed on probably natural, but they never actually pinned it all the way down. Well, that's a little broad for me. Yeah, exactly. But that's all you. I love that he, here's the thing. I like that much better than definitively saying what you think it is and writing it off, you know what I'm saying? Yes Yeah going back to swamp gas. Oh, definitely swamp Yas Yes Eactly. becausea you end up looking foolish later. But anyway, if you look at that in comparison to Daniel's letter here, we're also talking mid eighties in Northeast Washington State an intense green light that floods a whole valley. or the area that they were in. and it happens within range of Fairchild whichich again, was in nineteen eighty five was a nuclear arm Strategic Air commommand base with weapons sitting right there. Creek Right. And this, of course leads us into the much bigger and extremely current, especially with the movie coming out in ten or twelve days Disclosure conversation, and that's this notion that whatever this phenomenon is, it seems strangely interested in human nuclear weapons Oh, always has been. That's always part of the thing and Going back to fated Giant and Robert Sallas reporting that again, this happens quite a bit, I think more than It's being reported, but he was one who famously and bravely came forward and talked about U I think it was M at North Dakota, the UFO passing over and shutting off All the control of the nukes And these things are independently controlled. It's fascinating. I think you saw the same sixty minutes episode They talked about it. These things still run on five and a quarter inch floppy discs Right. And the reason is for that is that they're so primitive that they can't really be hacked. They're sealed off Yeah. They're notre connected to the internet. Yeah. And so and they're independent. So that means if somebody gets in there, they can't set off all the the missiles. especially if after you break in, you don't bring your own external five and a quarter flop distr drive. You sure evenven a zip drive. Yeah. Yeah. Nbody knows what those things in are in. But zips are smaller. zips are like three I still have an IomeMega zip driveike. Oh, yeah, yeah. It's a hundred megabytes folks at the time was a big deal. Yeah, right But everything else was smaller as well. So it all worked out. But the idea is that these things are not supposed to be manipulated from the outside and something came over of a higher intelligence and capability and said, no, no no We're really in control And what they think the message is that We're watching you. We can have control over this if we choose, but don't screw this up. You folks might just get into a lot of trouble for your own planet and we can't hand that because you don't own this planet. Okaykay? So right. You're part of this galactic Federation and You know, you have to abide by some rules, so don't blow yourselves up That's been a long recurring message in UFO lore of what do some of these aliens purportedly have to tell us, which is be careful, take care of your planet, donon't blow each other up. We're watching you and we may have gotten on the radar even more. Once we did the first nuclear test Right. Look, we as countries can detect when other countries do nuclear testing Yeah you can certainly guarantee that they do as well off planet if that's where they're coming from or maybe they're already here So the idea though, is that they're keeping close watch on it. And again, somebody was else was talking about the Fermi Paradox and I'll bring it once again. We had a whole episode just on that Nobody really, to my knowledge, talks about the irony of that and that The idea of the Fermi Pdox is that, well, Look, if they're traveling by natural means you're not going to be traveling as fast or faster than the speed of light. There are problems withith physics of that happening. plus the technology, even in the series I just finished watching the three body problem, which is fasinating because it deals with a lot of what we're talking about here and interactions and signs and wonders from interstellar visitors Even they're traveling at one percent of light speed and as far as advanced as they supposedly are in this fictional series derive from a set of books here. is that even though they're omniscient in a way and omnipotent to our standards, they still can't travel that fast. And so Ferm me was saying Well, if they're traveling even that fast, it's like it's too far away for them to even get here And this is really unlikely that we're being visited by aliens. and they may exist, but they're so far away We don't have to ever worry about them the reason Famy was talking about this and all the scientists at White Sands And Sandy, it was that they were seeing a bunch of stuff in the sky already The paradox iniry don't address that fact to my knowledge. It's just like Yeah,. You the reason you're talking about this is because people are seeing incredible things in the sky to begin with. Yeah. And so explain that? Well you don't have an explanation. You're just thinking like, well, that doesn't make sense to our physics. mathematically very unlikely. So What we're seeing here is is this a different type of communication or interaction or happening that our storyteller here had witnessed And I also love the background of it is that yeah, you do have some military stuff going on in the area Uh, you know, there's UFOs and nukes again, have long been a married part of the the whole lore. You know, researchers like Robert Hastings have built a whole careers onud it Collecting reports of strange objects over missile silos and weapons depots, which we're talking about here, that some activity is going on Yeah his dad was in the military and there's there's tons of you can find tons of stuff of him talking about this And what is the I know it's Melstrom. What's the book Faded Giant let's see. Faded Giant. Yes. We have that book. and I haven't read it. I've had it in our library for quite some time, but I think it talks about one of these particular incidents Well, yeah, we were going to actually I got the book. This is when we first started. It's like, we got to do a whole episode on it. J just never got to it, but it's by Robert Sallas and James Klotz. And I think that came out in o, it's cheap here. thirteen dollars a used soft cover very good on the abooks dot com But it's just about the whole incident of that that was documented and that's about the m Mountstrom or where or like Yeah, the synopsis of the book is the two authors here explore Inidences of unidentified aerial phenomenon. And how close it was to Malmstrom Air Force Base. Right, which is near I'm sorry. I thought there was another incident in Mine at North Dakota. This is near Great Falls, Montana not too far still in the region, I would consider to Eastern Washington And yeah, there was a shutdown of nearly twenty nuclear missiles that happened, still unexplained And yeah, that's that's basically been concealed for about thirty seven years or more Okay Nobody's ever really come out and said what happened because they have no explanation Same thing with Terry Lovelace. Remember? they saw a giant diamond shaped object, I think Gowing red over the base that they responded to Terry and his paramedic partner there There's things you're never going to get any answers for because I think maybe even they don't know the authorities of what happened. Now levels of this deeper, darker collection of peopleeople at authority may know But even your highest base commanders may not know really what's happening. So It's been going on for quite a bit. But one thing about this story that I like is from the perspective of the observer because again, we're asking questions that we're probably not going to get answers to for a while at least Although june twelfth is the disclosure coming up day. and I always think that whether it was intended or not, this is a part an element of disclosure in general. Yeah. Even if it's just fun. But now there's hints from Spielberg himself that No, a lot of this is real. that is It's not as much fiction as it is nonfiction. So One thing I do like about this, again, I always look to the human element of thingsings that we have more insight and possible answers to is the person that experiences it because this affects people's lives and us little folks, the pleves, how do we feel about this stuff And the perspective of a child, that's a very interesting thing like I just relayed a story that I really had no memory or collection of and not sure what was going on there when our friend told us that about me as a child sort of vision having experienced very bright lights that I could not look at directly But I do remember another thing that I saw as a child that reminds me of the story in that u My parents had a nineteen seventy four Mustang Hatchback. Oh, notot the cool kind. Yeah. L That happens in our family. Like wherever we get, it's like the nineteen forty six Ford. If it had been the convertible version or even the coop, that would be cool, but no, they had a Musting two? Yeah smaller one that theyes which So there was a souped up one that Jny the character Jenny Hayden drove in Star Man But she had a Yeah, that's right. No Right. And Ferra Fawcet had the Cobra version. Remember I think No no that's what Charlie' Angel had in Starman. Yeah. Yeah Right in Charlie's Angels. No, no, this was an inline four cylinder. So it barely got up hills So not cool, but you know, cool enough for us and the It was fun to drive around it. But being the hatchback as a kid, I would lay in the back and just kind of look out the window Sure of the hatchback. And, you know, when we go to the drive in theater was fun I remember taking a short trip to Post Falls, Idaho, I think and just looking up through the glass, And I thought I saw something that I could not explain because This is the strangest thing is that To me, looking at the window, it looked like somethinghing like a rocket b I'm talking about the big ones, the Apollo mission type with the multi stages It looked like that shape of a rocket, you know, but like the first part of it, not the whole thing in view, but like maybe something that was thirty or forty to fifty feet above us Yeah cruising along with us and I The memory that I have of this and you start to question yourself, that's why I relate to this story so much Yeah Is that I'm laying there in the back and I'm going, what is that Because we'd already heard of UFOs. ye, I was very young, but I'd already heard of UFOs My grandfather had seen something, I think near the Post Falls area, and he described that as cigar shaped and zigzagging on the horizon Oh. And again, he was that also ties back to what I was telling you is that he I was very familiar with all aircraft, having worked at Fairchild for a couple of decades as a as the chief of fuels and a civilian So he's very familiar with all kinds of military aircraft, of course, also being being gone through World War twoI And he had seen something that he thought of as a UFO. So that was discussion was out there And you start to wonder, even then laying down in the back of the car is like, am I imagining this? I don't know what I'm seeing. It didn't make any sense Right. And I remember asking my dad, you know, he's driving and my mom's there looking out the window I's like, do you see that? And I think my dad kind of looks up like, No, don I don't really see anything But his line of sight is, of course, down the road and out the front window This this thing as I saw, it was way the hatchback was that back window practically faced the sky. It's like a st Yeah That's I'm saying. I You're laying back there, you're like looking through a moon roof kind of. That's right.'s exactly what. He's in the cabin. He's inside the Yeah, he's a few feet away, but looking forward. And he can't look straight directly up. and he goes, I don't really see anything. And we didn't hear anything What I couldn't wrap my head around what that thing was. although I was positive, I'm not taking a nap, I'm not dreaming. I'm awake. I'm asking them like, do you see that? Be I don't really see anything. and it's like, I don't know what I'm looking at, but it's not fantastical. there's no a rotating ring of multicolored lights around it There's no metal inglets falling out the center of it. There's nothing Unusual, it just looked like this object that was keeping pace with us But again, was about thirty feet above us And to this day, I don't know what I was seeing, but I was seeing something Yeah. And I will say now though, I don't thinkink it's a UFO. I didn't know at the time. I just didn't know. So in comparison to this story though They saw the effect of something And my question is was the green flash in and of itself the thing Do you know what I'm saying is that is the ship or whatever this thing was because now there's all kinds of talk about, you know, Mercaba UFO's and things that are conscious, but not necessarily Nuts and bolts. their're free form more just consence what's the there I saw a thing yesterday on Instagram or Reddit that was like They're finally trying to quantify the idea of the craft that are inside the orbs appear tiny to us, but within them, they are gigantic. if you were to get inside. Yeah, because they have that's hard to wrap your minds around when we first start talking about it because I love that concept is that this thing looks like the size of a of a minivan And then you get inside and it's the size of a football field Right stadium, you know, like Arena football. And how do you do that? L that doesn't make sense. That's totally sci fi or fantasy, but if they have control over spaceet time You got to figure the space part of that includes physical space, spaces volumes And they have control over that. My often thinking was I just hope whatever machines running that doesn't break down because then you're all crushed into that were very small and uncomfortable size. you do wonder are these things now because you have to expand your thinking I think because again, that's traditionally it's like, it's just nuts and bolts craft. They're little green men from some planet and they're probably not have gotten here because it's too far away If you think that some of these machines are actually sentient objects that have their own control and motivations Or it could just be plasma. And now plasma is a big talk about plasma energy and consciousness and being connected. It's like, is that what this thing was or was it a byproduct of some other machinery And that goes off where it's like a giant nebulizer, neuralizer where it's like Yeah, it zaps you, you forget where you are, told men black stuff So then I'm wondering, it's like what went on there And what was this mechanism? And even if it's just mundane and natural, I want to know what was that phenomenon because I think
