But when he wouldn't put that car up his ass Congratulations on the last version of Jack F I watched you this morning in bed. And they got me a screener And it is So bizarre Yeah, that very first scene is so bizarre It's Oh are you talking about the The handgun? Yeah, yeah, yeah It is so you know I mean, I don't know if you remember this, but we met a long time ago. Yeah. when I was doing commercials for ESPN I was going across the country for the X games meeting all the athletes, but we stopped in Florida to me Rolling Stone's biggest partier in the nation and that was you. Y And then I did notice when you first started making it And it made me so happy. likeike Y Yeah, I was like, wow, I met that guy a long time ago and you used worked your ass off from like That until like you have a wonderful stand upp career and that made me happy. Can I tell you I had the exact same feeling? Did you remember me though from then or no, probably not So much. So it' it's a little it's a little storied, but That was like the only thing legitimately I did out of the out of the Rolling Stone was that ESPN commercial. They gave me like a day rate I hung out in your tour bus with you. and do you remember who the other actor was? Beautiful Jason. He's the guy who in the self defense equipment. was his house He. Let me do it there. And then we did the gun I believe He was supposed to shoot me. But we get out there, he's like, I'm not fucking shooting you. Yeah And so he had to operate the camera poorly, by the way I mean this is, but this is before any like nowadays all of us know composition So like everyone holds the subject in the center of frame, not too much headroom. You are in the fucking corner of that shot. You have to see that Jackass Best and last is if you're a jackass fan, which Every single man that is Below fifty years old is a die hard rider die It's going to be your favorite jackass. Oh than. It is such an homage. I cried at the end I feel like I have so much I want to say, but I'm going to go back to nineteen ninety seven nineteen ninety seven I meet with the Lamde Kai house is the first sketch we werere doing And you had your tour bus and you and beautiful Jason were YSPN tour bus. YesPN.. But no, but you brought me on and you werere like, let's bring I want to And we smoked weed, you asked if I could find the lototted. I'd never heard it de laauded before. And you showed me a video that I think of all the time kids trying to knock themselves out with an empty beer bottle Oh yeah, that was probably from the whiskey video. and point and no slight to beautiful Jason, but I remember you We're the one guy I remember. because you were very I was saying, I'm going move to New York I'm gonna get into stand up. I'm going to get into this business. Do you have any insights in you're like in my kitchen. I swear to God And if I remember this wrong, please tell me I am wrong. You told me I would like to get shot with a crossbow and wear a coat of arms And I would like to get shot with a gun and I'm doing this thing for a magazine. Right now B brother and you pitched me Jackass. I want to tell you to the point where when I was on the X show, which is my TV show in two thousand guessing. And Jackass first came out, I was sitting in the bleachers and all our crew guys brought in a VHS. and they' like, did you guys watch MTV last night And I was like, no And then like, haveave you seen Jackass? I have no frame of reference for what it is. And they're like, no putut in the jackass tape And it's you And I remembered you. And I was like, Johnny Knoxville. And I got so excited. I go, hit pause. I go, I know that fucking guy. I go, I fucking know that guy. I know that guy. And I was like, oh my God, he did it. He did it. He took this idea and followed through. And then I was obsessed with Jackass because I felt like I was there at the beginning when I met you and you felt like you had a seed I mean, I remember like and my memory is always jaded in in whatever beautiful picture I need it to be, but I thenen Uh It became I was like obsessed. I thought it was the coolest thing that's ever been done in media and would I would go into meetings and they would be like, you know, they pitch you pitch Jackast like Comedy Central, VH one, you pitched it all over And no one wanted it except for MTB. We pitched it to HBO first terrible And, um did all the talking and he could feel How much they hated our idea. So he's just going, Yeahah, and Ah Jeff and I were like, o fuck, we thought this guy knew what he was doing. And then we went to MTV and Comedy Central. I think we pitched the USA. mayaybe VH one. I don't remember. They're all in the same building. Yeah. MTV and comomedy Central both wanted So it was It was wild. But yeah, I do remember meeting you so much. You said I'm sure I told you about My idea for the self defense equipment. Yeah, you know, way I shoot myself in this and that And And I did it not too I don't know if I had done it at that point. You shot that in ninety eight. You met me in ' ninety seven. Yeah. So yeah, I was like the next year I did it. So yeah you said you knew before almost anyone else There wass like a handful of people who knew before it became a thing and you were one of them And you I remember you said, I can throw myself down a flight of stairs. And we were like and we were I don't this is my recollection the night. Pretty good way to get on TV Me and you and two of the most beautiful girls that ever went to Florida State. Yes, you guys picked us up in the tour bus at Yanni's at we all went toanni's Th then the tour bus pulled up. We all got in the tour bus, we went back to my apartment. We ended up continuing smoking weed We got dressed as in drag as women, the girls dressed as women And you said I can throw my head off down a flight of stairs. and we were like, no way. And you did it. And I fucking I was like, I was enamored. I was enamored because I had bought the dream of moving to Hollywood. And and then I moved to Hollywood and I remember I remember being at I don't know if you remember this being a California Chicken caafe. And I was eating lunch with my agent And you walked in and I went, Johnny Knoxville and you stopped and you went Prer, the number one party animal in the country. Yeah, I totally remembered you. Yeah. absolutely. And and the whole jackass crew was behind and it was and I mean, I how long go is this That was two thousand that was before two thousand one is before seeptember eleventh When when did you first Break. When did you first hit a couple of years ago. Obert. No, I mean, I had like, so I had I know you don't know this, but I had my own jackass Like I seem to get hired as if they couldn't get Johnny Knove. they couldn't get any of the guys at Jackass. and I got hired in that direction, I did a show called Hurt Burt A Jack ass. hurt, hurt That's a pretty nice title Can I tell you what it missed? And I'm telling you this because I watched Jack As Bestin last this morning It missed the camaraderie. The beauty of jackass is that I as a viewer be with you guys. I feel like I'm included with you guys. I feel like I'm one of the guys. I'm one of the boys. I feel like Chris Pawnius gets me. You know, he's the best. And I feel like you're my buddy. and I feel like we're all laughing with everyone Yeah. Trust me as a guy who's done it When there's one person doing the stunt You start feeling bad for them Like this producer is a fucking monster. Dude, I I got mauled by a bull. I got mauled by a bull. You have been mauled by a bull. Yeah yeah. you pull up my mul by buowl ma please. And this has got to be two thousand two thousand And uh No one's there to laugh. No one's there to make lightight of his No peanut gallery to pan over to. Just a paramedic and me. and it's so uncomfortable. It's a great title though Bur. Oh yeah, I wish I could revamp it. Hurt Burt. Rdeo clown And how many seasons this go Six episodes. All right, all right It was, I mean, I got pigeonholed as this for a big part of my career. For how long did this you think this? Okay, here we go Nice blonde bll. That's me All right. By the way, also content wise. Oh when they make that turn, it never feels that good, huh Oh So there's no humor in it. There's just, you're watching someone get hurt There's no boys going. Oh shit. If I would have been there and they and that and that's real pain. Oh, it's and that's real p you. If I had been there, I was like I just said, Hey, Bertt, right before the ball gets to you a little and that way you get in the air and it's more dynamic. and you don't get under the bolt. It was the it's the it's why I can truly appreciate Jackack. And I would have made you go again.. They looked me and they say said, you know, we're trying to make a twenty two minute show. We have literally thirty six seconds of footage Yeah, canan you get back in there? And I was like, I just broke my ribs? And they're like Yeah, but we don't have like a full episode That's like That's that's those are are the Jeff Tremaine conversations. Yeah. Oh, I I could I got my ribs broken on first take in the magic trick and Jackass forever, which is in B with that blond bll. Another blonde bll. They just fucking break your ribs It hits me with its horns and my ribs breaks my ribs and then Everyone knew I had to I knew I had to go again and so but take two are tough with bulls. So you can't tell them to go half. you can't go like it's just they're the best. half half the speed looks like half doesn't work. You want him to just destroy you because that's what looks the best. But what like is the part of your brain When you're the only dude getting on the reed rocket No one wants to get on it. Where is are you scared U I will think about things like few days out You know get a little like I'm not void of fear As it gets closer, I become more excited and I eventually Over time, I learned to like it. Uh So I'm just I just want to get there and do it. Not the healthiest attitude. No So I did another show called Berth Conker And then another show called Trip Flip and all of them were Adventures Your Lifetime, The craziest thing you do. I tested For Birth Conqueror with Ryan Dunn oddly enough became friends with Ryan. is he was He's a Sez. He is And I would love to take a second to talk about Ryan Dunn because he was one of my favorite people I've met, including you. within minutes There was no industry to him There was no jealousy. there was no It was just Just like a real he reminds me so much of Shane Gillis. Do you know Shane Gillis? I don't. I know he's very funny Uh, but with done there's yeah, there's no pretense at all. He's just instantly Cool with everybody Yeah. ye. When you found that group that that that Philly or like Pennsylvania group. when you're building jackass. Did they mesh immediately into the LA click Well, it's funny because We didn't get the together until Probably the movie It was you say Bam would Bam would shoot his stuff out there and edit it and send it to us And maybe no I take that back. I think maybe on the third season We all got together in Florida u for the TV show. Yeah. but for the fur that was like Do seventeenth episode is and Yeah, and so we hadn't met And there was, since we hadn't met, there was a little bit of a East Coast West Coast vibe going on. then we met and everyone Inantly got along. reallyally That all went away. Yeah, it's because there is a weird energy when you make these movies that Everyone's on their toes No one's totally comfortable It's It's it's more than no one's totally comfortable. Everyone's paranoid And by the second week of shooting they're just just so They'recked, completely wrecked for the the entire shoot after that. Now how much do you know D one, I'm really interested in like the bones of this because having been a part of this, I was always on the outside and I was never on the inside. They never let me on the inside But like, so when you go into production You have to sit with Jeff Tremaine and I don't know is Spike still involved? Yeah. involved. Okay. you have to sit with Jeff and Spike map out everything We're going to have punching glo that comes out of a wall. We're gonna have a big hand that smacks everyone So you're Almost a little bit like the wizard of Oz. cororrect or no Yeah, like Jeff and I No ninety eight percent of everything that's going on on the set, but there's the two percent we both keep from each other. in case I want to get him or if he wants to come after me. Uh, but the guys really don't know anything. Yeah, so u Does that cause any resentment within the team that they they they can get worn out at points. Uh it's just because They're just getting wrecked constantly. they don't know where it's coming from. They don't know if they sit down in this chair. they're going to go up. they don't know if something's going to blast from the wall and hit them or the wall comes out and the bowll comes in. So they're fucking pred Rattlesnake' the fucking funniest. Oh yeah, it is the It is. Is and I apologize. one of my favorite characters is Ewan or or Ern or Aron. Aron I'm so happy you got this name wrong. think and I apologize, Harry I apologize. No, no, don't apologize to me. You made my day Because I'm a dick. But like he really the he's the best because he does He's like Best, he as responsible as some of For some of our best footage of all time Without a doubt without he's a very important part of Jack. I mean, he's the whipping boy. He's the liver. Yeah, he's the liverout him not filtered He is the whipping boy. Yeah. he is the liver like of the two thousand one, Steve O He's just getting destroyed But he's a good guy, but he he just he just I don't know And you like You're shooting with them And you go home at the end of the day, you're like, God, I was a little hard on Aaron today. I'm going to go in tomorrow. And I'm going to be cool with him. because I feel like a dig And you'll go in in the morning and he'll come up to you and you're like, this is my guy. This is Aaron. And within two minutes he'll say something so fucking stupid. you're screaming at him again. You can't be nice to him. They' him and poopy sense of humor There's like like Fovon. I love Theovon and I like Pil Vgh More than ever is the first time I met him, that first month that I hung with him, because I couldn't tell if he was fucking with me or he was And and and I did not know what was what. And to this day, I still at times don't know what it is. I did a movie with Theovon The the rehab one. Yes. It was a great fucking movevie. Oh, thank you. Thank you. It was a great fucking moveie. I appreciate that Bertt. And I'm a ride or die for Johnny Knox. Oh well, thank you. Let me tell you, right now, stop this podcast and go watch Walking Tall. Oh wow crying on a fucking plane O wal from walking tall And he takes his shirt off in the courtroom And he goes, and this will never happen Anyone else again And he's got the scars on his back. I'm on a fucking seven hundred and sixty seven in business class sobbing uncontrollably drunk as fg I wish Id to Johnny Knoville This is the greatest movie ever. Dude I don't even remember that scene. Dude Did he fucking take his shherry off You're a your' pilot at NBC H do you remember the fucking pilot you did Right after Jackest takes off, you get a pilot. Okay, and It was one of the best pts I've ever read my entire life You walk in, you have one of the coolest scenes ever is you you get out of your car. like I don't know if you're a detective or're solving mysteries, but you put a bag over the the parking meter, you walk in and you torture the guy getting the massage. You start waxing his back. Do you remember this shit Dude, will you when if I ever write a book of my life, will you help me because I'm not remembering any of this. You' gotta remember, I I met This one is starting to get uncomfortable I met one dude When before I got into the business who got famous, that was like possibility that it could happen. Yeah. And you had had a kid And I remember that was like was like, I rooted for you because I knew you had a you had told me, I think I just had a daughter or something. Yeah, yeah. and I rooted for you. It's like But I'm also a broken dude. I like being a fan of things. I do. I love being a fan of something You know, like like I and it it gives me like I don't know. I I had a guy come to me one time and say It was he goes, canan I It was a meet and greet and he was like, can to tell you something? And I was like, was I'm a fan of your, and I was like o, know where' going. And's like, no. You're standing on my foot. And the security guard's like, let me move him. And he was he was a smaller dude. He was like maybe five, six, real skinny not good looking guy and he goes, stop give me a second. He was an ugly dude. He was a not gu. not the guy you want to be your fan. but he looked at me and he goes I don't have anything going on in my life. But I got you And he goes, and when you succeed, you make me believe the thing I picked was the right thing And I was like, wow. And he goes, so keep killing it, man. because every day you kill it, I know I'm on the right team. And I went Holy shit And then I started like quantifying what I'm a fan of And do I been f to watch you A mass a fortune to put out a body of work the way you have, to have a fucking solid acting career and respect across the industry has given me hope for like regular dudes to enter this business Oh my God, I don't even know what to say to that. I got so bred. I got so pumped when you did Rogan I got so pumped when you did Rogan. I was like, fuck yeah, my two guys are together Like and I've been a fan of Joe's. ever Like forever, but yeah, I got I'm dude, I'm I'm like, Lgit so honored that you're here. Well, I sit in front of you humbled, and thank you. I sincerely appreciate all that you're saying. No, mean . You don't even remember your pot S something, something the pilot, but I don't think that was ever shot. I don't think we ever shot it I don't know Buts the Theovon I don't go out of my house. don't leave my house much. And I don't know what's going on out in the world Really And so I'm doing this movie in Theo Von's like my roommate and I have so many scenes with them and rehearsals And he's just like, he won't stop like as soon as they say cut, he starts You know. he's start and I'm like, whoo's this fucking guy? He's just he just talking so much. and And then slowly I'm like This guy's really fucking funny. Dude. I went from like, who's this nut to like this nut's funny. He's so funny. Yeah, ye yeah funny. Like And then my my son's like, oh God, you you know Theovan. I'm like Yeah Yeahah So That's got to be cool. Does your son have any Does he have any ability to quantify who his dad is and what his dad's done She was born after. yeah, feeleels like u Thank it. I don't know how much it maybe I think it's more annoying to my children than anything. Yeah. I think You know They're okay with it, but it's just It's not It's not their fault that I went into show business, you know. I wish I could I know you're saying Like yeah, I wasn't Yeah. they're fine with it. they don't they're not psyched on it. fine with it. My kids aren't pyked on it. Yeah. They could absolutely do without it. Yeah, I bet. ye. Except I don't think they understand that like them getting to go to college comes with it How old are they? I don't know Buddy Georgia graduates this weekend. From high school? Fom college from the University of Oregon. Well, you did it, dad. I know. Congratulations Yeah Yeah. that's awesome. Yeah, she's u and then Isla's home because she's at She's in a junior in college right now That's man. I can't believe that we're both grown ups and I met you what thirty five years ago, I'm guessing. nineteen ninety seven.id ninety seven, ye Holy shit. That's crazy. So I was always curious times when I watched you suucceed. I always wanted to know what life was like for you then Take me back. what's it like Jackass thing explodes. Like what for you, your're PJ Clap, you're from Knoxville, correct You grew up playing baseball, you're a regular kid from like regular parents You're not a Hollywood kid. If anything, when I met you, you were broke And and then and then you get I was three months in debt to my landlord when I got thatS ESPN commercial and that got me in the black You know, I was like on the road. they're like, whereere is there because they didn't even realize it. Yeah And then they're they're like, I'm like, look, I got money coming in. So I was So then Jackass hits. Yeah. And then that's everyone's dream. And I also want to quantify that this is a different time in Hollywood. This is this is when fame was elusive. Not everyone had TikTok, not everyone had Instagram, not everyone was a social media fitness influencer Taking peptides and doing morning jogs and being locked in Everyone You had to you had to get a camera to make something and then get an editor to edit it to make A sizzle, which wasn't even really a thing yet. to take to networks to hope they picked up a pilot to then get an order to put a series on air that then That's Sunday night. It was Sunday nights, correct? Yes was a hit Monday morning anyone on media talks about and that happened to you. Sunday night you were noope, you were you were PJ Clap. Yeah. and Monday morning, you would never be anything but Johny Knoville Yeah, it was pretty wild. Like within three months I was on the cover of the Rolling Stone. from like No one knew anything about me except for you And and then I'm just suddenly a hill Billy with a hit record And oh boy Yeah, it was took some adjusting. Pull up that cover Yeone of adjusting. Yeah, did was was I always wondered, like drugs and alcohol. I know you don't party anymore, right? Well, I mean, I'll have a drink U Yeahah, I don't, but I don't like anything like I did. No Yeah, that's who wrote your article? Uh Eric Hind I got him arrested. His name is Eric. Hedagard. Hedagguard. Yes, yes. you are correct He wrote my artic. Oh, Okaykay, yeah. He also wrote an article on Joe Rogan Ah, well, there you go. Yeah. stirring our porrge. Jesus Christ, that guys It've been crazy if when I met him when I was what twenty five or whatever, he was like, just, you know, I'm going to I'm going to be a big part of your life. I'm going to change your life. and one of your best friends, I'll be interviewing him in twenty five years. I'll be like, what the fuck It's bizarre. So wait, so what is that like? I mean Did it go to your head? Did you buy expensive stuff? Did you stay? I mean, your style has Never. mooved at all You're wearing the same clothes I met you in thirty five years ago. Well I think I wore Blue Dickies for two and a half decades in high water blue high water dickies as long I'm going to tell you, I bought a pair of dickies after you left because I thought it was a cool look. It did not look the same on me. And my wife just bought me a pair of brown dickies and I've only had these on for the past You mind your style Is this is this you This is you What do you mean? you you picked this style and you never shifted. Yeah, that's that's kind of U That's all I could think of at the time. and I'm too lazy to think of something. Although I will say My wife is a stylist and she's I got I had like two pair of pants before I met her And now I got all kinds of pants, Bert My it's really got me all the kinds of cardigans and She made this Fancy shirt for me Um I'm shitting and tall cotton now But what changes for you when you get famous? Like what was the broken part? What was the part where you're like, fuck I gott to fix that We're like what was the that well that was one of the things one of the parts that was broken, I didn't want to fix because it was a part of me, you know There's certain things that help me do the stunts and and I started therapy in two thousand six. I'm like Let's not fix that Let's not let's work on everything else, but let's not work on that Because then I'm out of a job That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah, it's crazy But I was serious. There's a part of me that I'm dealing with that in therapy right now is I'm driven by impulse Yeah. Imulse is my favorite thing in the world. Yeah. the The I think is why I've never said not I've always said no to Coke once 'causeuse I feel like I feel like I feel like you're willing to share that you do cke with me Like you're willing to open up and go just, you know, I do Coke Would you like to do Coke? Yeah, such a vulnerable moment It's like a first kiss. You' a real empath. Yeah Oh my Godd. That's so funny. I was I was so impulsive this in I was talking with my therapist and she said something time as like, I never thought of that And her statement was, There's thought before action And I was like Oh my God, that is fucking great Because with me, it was just fast, faster and disaster. you know, first thought, best thought. Yeah And really helped. I don't like the thought. L my favorite feeling in the world is that like Like, do you want to do it? And you go, Yeahah, yeah, let's do it. Like the less thought, the better I think how's that? I mean, you're doing good but it's had to, you know, backfire a couple times. No. like M is like,. I was talking to I was talking to Seth Myers and he said to me I don't know if he meant it as an insult or a compliment, but he goes, Isn't it crazy that if you went? Time machine thirty five years ago about when you were twenty five and you gave yourself advice, it would be donon't change anything. As a matter of fact, lean into it, like take the shirt off, gain weight, keep drinking And I was like, yeah, it's crazy. ussually like you go back in history and you're like Don't do this. And I'm like, I just and so I have no regret You're like, well, thank you pretty much, Seth. Yeah. I wish I had never done. I'm glad I did. I wish I hadd never done God angle of thrill shit 'cause it gave me a lot of anxiety, a lot of PSD. You have to have had PTSD. Me? Yes. No, I don't have any Oh yeah, I got it from riding roller coasters. Like. My wife says at night like all I do is laugh in my sleep Yeah, like I wake her up like like ah What kind of movies do you like Um Do you like comedies Yeah, you know What we usually watch or either documentaries or the worst fucking movie we can find or some just terrible TV show like Milf Manor. stuff that's so bad. It circles back around and it is funny Right because we love to be offended. We're like, Oh why are they? What is that? That's terble Like, if you he the movie Samurai cop You ever seen that No. it's Please do. Samurai cop Yeah. it was found in a vault. They couldn't it was never released And it is the most insane movie Uh, this lead guy Sometimes he has long hair and sometimes he's wearing a wig which he parks on his head like this because they they they got done with the movie and he cut his hair and they went back was, Ohh, we have reshoots And so the first Seeing the movie,'s got this wig and he's wearing it down like a ball cap way down here And then the and it's not even scene to scene. It will be like shot to shot. He'll be running down the street with real hair, next shot. He's got wig in a fight scene. he's getting in a fight with someone pull his wig off And he just puts it back on while he's fighting It is Funniest fucking thing That's the kind of shit we love is have you ever seen American movie U Yes is the tall skinny guy Wh it's where they're making the horror film coach. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's great. That's one of my favorites That is how about There was one sometimes I'll see things in art that I go, I bet that's in your wheelhouse Like, u like I don't do that with Steo often, but do that with Yeah, dude B He is he is such a That must be a crazy journey to watch a friend take from like lunatic on the street swallowing a goldfish to like he's got To, three weeks left hs. Yeah doing And he did the worst fucking drugs like Angel Dust. He loved Angel Dust in those whippets, those little canisters of ye. there would be hundreds not ten or thirty, hundreds at his feet. just As fast as he could do them. Yeah in the wild and then to a thriving individual right now is insane. 've been sober for Put him away in two thousand And he was pretty fucking sour about it at first, but to his credit He's like, you know what? I think I do need to get sober and It's fucking amazing, man. like I get run over by a bull every now and then, but like him having to face that fucking dragon every day. That's that's brave, man. Yeah I was I was a wild fan of his too. and When I got to meet him and I'm friends with him now, but when I got to meet him, I was just like I was blown away at like possibility that I mean, no, I don't think anyone ever easily you guys could have been like, there's no way this intervention's working Oh ye because a lot of times they don't. Yeah. because like you may want something may you want someone to be sober, but unless they want to be You got nothing. Yeah. It's funny, it's funny the the It's got to be weird For lack of better words, like you're kind of like a big brother to all them Oh interesting ye. Yeah I mean, all of them And like I wasn't always the best role model, you know, like I was, you know, I'm probably I got Schmacee did the probably the night before I went to take him away You know, but I want to talk about the first jackass. Yeah, because no one thought that would succeed. We didn't even think the fucking show was going to get on TV We our piley got shut down. Oh, you guys d our pileie got shut down before We even thought about being you know on TV like when we did a It's in the movie the C. I saw it and our production It's one of the most Rriiveveting only because now that is commonplace on the internet. that hey, it's a prank Right? that energy is commonplace on the internet This is nineteen ninety eight And it is cops. The cops car drives into a wall Oh man, I was Yeah, I as soon as the cops car. I think it was a light pole. I was like, oh, we're in big trouble now. Like four five car looads of cops. You can tell you're from the south in that moment Oh, what did I Be you're like I have a camera on me. This is a print. You're very respectful, the cops. You're not like a punk. You just Well, it's no time to be a punk. You know, because like their fucking guns drawn on you Yeah. and also like I'm like, well, we need this footage. And if I'm a dick or they could arrest me. There's a lot of things. there's a lot of reasons to be polite. but I'm normally pretty Uh polite. U told me she goes, If you would have moved one inch, I would have put a bullet in your ear. And so I'm glad I Stood still But that happened like five or six times. multiple car looads of cops with guns on me jackass. Literally the next day they're like we've shot we've been Pauses on production. Yeah Yeah, we got shut down and we're like, f like it's not even going to make it to TV And then it goes to TV and then and then you do the movie. I'll just say candidly, I think everyone was like when And I just from I remember being in a spin class. crunch Now that It's funny And then someone goes, you wantna know it's crazy? The guy teaching the spincast was Bob from the bigiggest loser It so true. And and I didn't know he's gay. I was like, this guy's gotta get so much pussy. He's killing He's's fucking cleaning up. He's got so many he got so much puss. he didn't even pay attention to the chicks in this room He just likes talking to all us fellas Good for him. I love a bro like that. And then someone casually goes, Did you hear they're making Jack ask the movie? And I was like and I was like, for real And the get comes out. it's coming out And I was like, Ohh, when. And then like like next weekend And I had never heard of it. I went no way. and go, that's going to flop. And I went really? And he go that's how we felt. He goes he goes, it's what is they going to do that they haven't done on television? That's like if they made Seinfeld the movie. And I was like, Ohh yeah Maybe And then I went down to the coffee and I heard younger kids there was a coffee bean at the bottom And then like, did you hear their Megan Jack ask the movie? And I'm listening behind them And they're like Someone said, Can you imagine what those guys will do with a budget? know it. As I watched, I was like this jusket The fucking second, Jackass is like base. That kind of everyone all the cast if we had to pick it would be that one. that one that one's got That one's got the house drop That one's got the fucking shopping cart. it's got the snake. It's got the it's got his dick in the fucking cage with the snake. It's a masterpiece of comedy. It's the jet skki. It's you guys in the fucking Hollywood Hills. It is the greatest comedic representation of laughter my God, an hour and fifteen minutes that therever will be. And that is undeniable. I mean, when you look at a comedy movie, one of the best comedy movies, happappy Gilmore amazing re watchatch it and it's still brilliant But there's times where you're like, that's interesting. You see Sandler's grown, you know, That would be quick or tighter, you know, that's his young Sandler. Dude that fucking movie? I mean incredible, but Jack asked the movie t you and you have a hit fucking movie. What does that feel like Uh just, I mean, it felt wonderful. We were surprised. You know becausecause each movie we're surprised that people and grateful But it It's wild, like younger me could have seen what was happening or you know, it's It feels like it's happening to someone else almost You know? Yeah. Yeah, I feel like it sometimes I'm like, I'm I don't feel like anymore, but Early on, I felt like I'm living someone else's life because this can't be me. Yeah, right? Things can't be going this well for me U so Eespecially with my limited education You know, it's Who do you call when you get the numbers for the first day? Like out of that whole group I always figured it was either Tremaine or Spike Well, we usually get those calls to we usually get those calls together. really like there'll be a group call like, okay, someone from Either our agency or paramount go, this is what it's going to do for the weekend and Yeah, it's crazy. What's it like when The movie is a success. I mean, I'm imagining one hundred million dollars or something in the box office. And then all of a sudden, everyone starts seeing people with nicer cars, but you still got guys like Steveo or Bam who were like, where's my share of the money? And like I can't imagine it's favored nations. Like I've always wondered what because like J I know there's been issues with Bam publicly with Jeff and you I think Yeah, but like But like, well how does that break down Because I know from comedy side We do arenas and we have opening acts and They don't make as much as we make. And at times there will be people that work for you who get who see your numbers and there's resentment And I always wondered what that was like internally to a group that's kind of like a bunch of skaters where All of a sudden, the guys who had the idea and are forestering the idea and talking to the execs and doing the day to day sometimes getting what I had always assumed to be the lion's share. Well, on the TV show We really, Jeff and I really had no idea what We didn't have any idea how to pay people. Like at first we were paying them. by the stunt, you know, And if they did a really dangerous stunt, they got more and it was just It was just a shit show, right? Exactly what I hoped. keepeep going. and For the movies We gave everyone a piece of the back endnd and, you know, as the movies as each movie goes on Everyone gets more of a back end. Everyone's equally as important in that movie. Yeah, in that series. There's not one person Wh's worth more And that's kind of proven as you move forward and you've introducce characters that like, I love poopies I know exactly what you want me to do. And I'll do it. He' And he was attacked by a fucking shark. He almost lost his hand all the way off his left hand. Yeah. And if anyone should have Bad energy towards Jackass. It would be the guy with the gimp hand with the fucking Chub's hand. And and poopies has great fucking energy. He like he and Aar and Steo did great the new movie too, but Steveo' like Poopies is sober now and like so Poopies is sober. He's a poop of sober poopies is a fun poopies to hang out with You know he did amazing in the new movie. He's just everyone. I mean Zach is is just he's a sweetheart. I could watch him get out of escalades all day long He'll do he'll do like Anything, we were We're shooting on jackass forever and There's this tower about two hundred feet off the ground and' it just happens to be on the grounds of where we're shooting. Yeah. And Jeff is like Let's go fuck was that? And he just pulls Zack out. He's like Zack. Okaykay. For this next bit, I want you to climb that tower And you're going to put on these little wings and you're going to jump off the tower You know, instant Instant death I started like Yeah, you got this. by Zach was like, Okay, All right. and I could see that Zach really thought we were serious And I just didn't have the heart to continue with it. and I walked away, but Jeff just kept him on the hook for like ten minutes and he thought he was He would have done it if we asked him to. Yeah. And has the energy you want as a fan as a fan I' got to tell you, Stevo, you know I love you You know I love you. I'm rider die for you Stevo But when he wouldn't put that car up his ass Well, that was Oh Well, now he'll put everything up his ass. No shit Adam Ray is the best addition to Jackass that's ever fucking happy. He's funny He when I saw him and I was like, oh be in this one sketch and he's in the whole fucking movie. He' That was brilliant. Everyone loved him and he just because the guys can the cast can be a little hard on newcomers But they just instantly loved him and he was the perfect voice of O W Larry So it was so great. He deadly your your guest stars have been Was Tommy was Tommy Lee your first Brad Pitt was your first guest star. T Tommy. Yeah, I think Brad Pitt was the first guest star. Can you tell me how that happened? That was like that was a moment That was a moment. and that was a moment. watching traditional Hollywood find the shit that we watched. meananing We all love you, Brad Pitt But like We just thought he was this out of touch dude You know, like Hollywood's a movie star And then and you guys were like accessible. You at it California Chicken caafe. I mean, like, like and then all of a sudden you guys kidnap him you guys kidnap him And then you also ran around the streets in guerilla suits with him. That was initially all we were gonna do with them. L Spike had kind of broached the subject Maybe he wants to be on the show and I was at Spike's house and Brad was there And he goes to hang on stop stop stop Okay So you were at Spike's house and Brad pit just there. Yeah, yeah. Now are you what is Jack ass is already pretty big? Yeah, we're it's it's we're on and it's doing well. and he sees you and he's like, dude I love you show. Yeah, I went up and talked to him and you're not nervous at all No I was probably hammered. Okay. You know, this is I was going pretty hot in those days But no, he's like really down. He's really down to earth and easy to talk to and And he's I have a buddy who met him and said he doesn't like him and he's just a distant asshole. And Tom, I'll edit that out or keep it in. Anyway keep. He was he's been nothing but nice every time I ran into him And I said, Hey, do you want to do something with this on the show? And He's like, Yeahah. And I don't know if we had anything to pitch then And our idea or one idea we had was We'll put him in a gorilla suit and have him do some stuff around and at the end they'll take off his mask. That that was the only idea he showed up for. I watched that. That was on the TV show. Yeah. that was on the TV show. I watched that. Yeah. And when that gorilla mask came off, I went Are you fucking kidding me? Yeah. This is hold on everybody you to fuck the Brad Pitt, you know right now. We're talking fight club Brad Pitt. A river runs through it Brad Brad Pitt. Thlma and Louise Brad Pitt. The Brad Pitt we fucking knew is going to be the next Tom Newman. Is that the right name Tom We know what I mean. Paul Newman And you have them in a gerilla suit Yes. And so that was the only idea. And I was doing the old man stuff that day and They kind of had to wait on me to film that. We had to wait tntill it was night And while we're waiting, Tremaine came up with that idea and he goes, Hey, do you want to go down We put in front of Pinks and kidnap you and And he's like, Yeahah, that's f And the guys didn't anticipate how much he was going to fight back They're like he was hard to get in the van, but he was just doing what he was supposed to do. Yeah. And he was just so I don't know. I really like him and he just was so Cool with everybody. I remember we got We werere in the kitchen and the lady Dottie played my wife when I was Irving, you know, she was like seventy five is And she brought in shrimp for everybody day. And so she brought it and she handed me and Brad some shrimp But she didn't thought it So it was just like Cres, Chres And to like, we just, what do you say in that position? You were like, oh, this is delicious. And you was kind of look at each other and kept eating But he was so nice to everybody. So fuck your buddy Tom Sugar, I'm sorry. Wait, I just met him No you didn't. he's you probably you could barely see him. He's fucking at eighty seven pounds now. He's an example like have you heard of Zempic face? Yeah, Tom He's got a zempic body, ozempic ass ozempic stomach So can you bring him up real quick? T Tomura? Yeah, please. Fat or skinny either. Where did you meet Tom Sagura Oh, no, that's not, that's not him. No, no, no Oh, Ewan and Tom are going love this episode manan, who was the guy we did for the Town haall is another Tom. Tom, Papa make. Very nice guy. swweetest guy. And now I've pissed Tom Papa's Ansigar off. It's okay, Brad Pitt's fuming right now. I've been had a couple of times on. My daughter and I were at u California pizza kitchen, we is that it guess And so and Tom Papa was with his family at the table next to us and he comes over He says hi. Tom's a very sweet guy. Yeah. And he leaves and Iland this when she was young, she was really a fucking wild one. She goes, What's his deal? And I said. me, what's his deal? She goes, How why is he talking to us?, Oh, he's a comedian She goes, that guy's comedian? And I go, Yeah, she goes. Looks like a cop to me Oh man Tough, tough room. It's just did you Did you coach him? Did you play with him grow? I coached him up until I was his coach on the teams until He was twelve And then after that he'd kind of out grown my usefulness, you know, he got with you know, suummer League coaches and for coaches And he's still got a year of high school, right? I like the Camaraderie. You had that show on You're now youre going to know, I'm a fucking mega fan. You had to show on serious XM my cousin, your cousin. I still got it. You still have it? Yeah, for like, we've been doing it for God, I don't know, where're six hundred shows in. Are you serious? Yeah, me and my cousin, Roger Uh, he, uh, It's the highlight of my week, man. Really? He's he's Funniest fucking guy. Tell everyone about your cousin, Roger real quick. Roger Allan Wade. We have a show called The Big ass Hppy Family Jubilee on Serious Outlawed Country He's a singer songwriter. He You know, wrote the song If you're going to be Dum, you got to be tough, which is it's kind of like Corona's our theme song, but that's kind of I'll almost become our theme song. Yeah. Oh by the way, hold Ly strings just covered it. the movie and I think it just got released yesterday. For real? Yeah. We have someone cover it every movie and Billy String look, thank goodness covered it for this one. Who released? Are you going to put out an album for this movie Uh I don't, there's not one right now. It's just Everything happened so fast and put the lotion in the basket is one of the sneakiest, coolest songs. Yeah. It's very low key But if you hear it, it's kind of eerie and fucking awesome Yeah, the Greens Keers. And since it's a new movie, we're like, let's try maybe we try some new music for that scene. And we tried other songs and I'm like, I don't think so let's go back to the green. It just it just works great. So you're your cousin by family. Yes, he's my first cousin. Oh really? Yeah. because a cousin in the South means like Yeah, yeah, yeah. there was incest in my family too I got one of those genealogy things done and uh And I'd have to meet this guy like once every six to eight weeks to get reports, you know And I remember we met at the Morm and place down in West L.A place because Mormons keep the best records for some reason And Not that we're Mormon. It's just they keep great records. Yeah And usually I walk in, Hey, man, how you doing? And he just kind of You know, I could get him smiling and that day he was not smiling at all I'm like Hey, what's going on? And he's like we need to talk. I'm like, All right, what's going on He's like, well, Uh did some more research into your family and in the small A R uh, villages They lived in the south No one entered into the community and no one exited the community. And at that point I start crying with laughter He thought I was going to be so upset. He just gave me the best news I've ever heard He was so confused why I was like, I said, so there was incest in my family goes a significant amount Now granted it went back several generations You monsters Oh My wife, I don't know if you met my father in law downstairs. I think he was sitting there as I walked in. He's listening right now, and I apologize I'm Yeah, I'm sorry. I apologize to the story I'm about to tell That's a My wife grew up in a town very similar where not a lot of people came in and out of the community And her father said something to her one time at a family reunion when she ran into a boyfriend And she goes, wait I'm related to him and her father said it and I put it in a special. He goes. Shit, you can, but you ain't blood greatest statement I've ever heard. Kimagine blood. Just tryed to make her feel better. Kimag blood Oh my God, it's wonderful. How small was your town growing up Knox full was about hundred twenty thousand probably at the time. Oh, I've been in Koxville. Yeah yeah, yeah. There was a bunch of dudes when I first moved out here and I always felt a little bit ownership over it because I knew you first But there seem to be like a bunch of Timmy Wyomings and a I like Timmy Portlands and Jason, Jason Maines. like yeah, like it seemed to be the thing And I met a couple of them and I was like I know the first one. Yeah So wait, what's the podcast gonna to be? It's you and Jeff. Yeah. and we're just talking You know, about the the history of Jackass. Whatever u Terrible ideas we're thinking of at the moment. We'll have cast members on. And it's just U thingsings we're working on. It's just all things, Jackass And Jeff and I bounce around a lot. It's like two guys with ADD get their own podcasts, but I think so far it's working all right Whatever happen to big Brotherers is that still around? No, well, Beause most of the guys came from big brother. Yeah yeah, bigig brother. So tell everyone real quick. tell I don't know if everyone knows this. Origins of Jackass are you as a writer for Big Brother Yes. well kind of kind of. Yeah. well, a lot of the cast and crew of Jackass came from Big Brother. That was a magazine. Yeah it's a skateboarding magazine. was eventually owned by Larry Flint That's when I started writing for them. It was own by Larry Flint And Tremaine, who directs Jackass is, you know, our director and my created with Spike and I And so when Jack has started. mostost people came started went from Big Bother to Jackass except for Dave Carney who stayed back at Big Brother and kept it going for another couple of years because Jeff didnid't want to just kill the magazine, right? And that's one of those things. It's like Dave did the show a few times with this, but I feel like If we had to do it over, we'd have just killed the magazine and and tried to get Dave on more. Yeah. Dave's okay with it. He's doing fine. He's a great writer. He's a great artist, but that kind of sticks at me still. It's an interesting group. I mean Dmitri Dimitri, who was a photographer at Big Brother. He became the director of photography. Everyone had fucking titles when we started Jackass. Yeah. No one knew what those titles were or what they did. Lance Lance Bangs. he's he's He's l fains is He didn't come from Big Brother. He spiked suggested Lance and I always wonder about Spike and Lance. It's like, whyy do you still work with us? Like you guys have legit care you guys are very bright have legit careers. Tell everyone who Lance Bangs is. He's He's a photographer, He's a director He's just a brilliant guy And I don't know why he still works with this. I'm just grateful he does Um, and he He has the he has one of the most nervous stomachs out of anybody. Yeah. He fell down and or Pu at least four times in this movie withithin Seven minutes of me arriving set the first day He had fallen down by some accident that I had caused. U You just He gets overwhelmed and he pukes or falls over. It's almost it's Beauty of Jack ass, not that I'm explaining this to anybody that doesn't already understand it, but it's the nuance. And as a guy who's done a bunch of this, is that there is no fourth wall, there is no third wall There is no induction per se, it is kind of all of the things It's the cameras are on. the guys are there. if if if Lance is gagging, the camera cuts to him It is it if he's wearing a helmet, you cut to him in the helmet I mean, it is it's really Brilliant in Had you had an executive, it wouldn't have been this good Yeah, we we were totally independent. We have final cut and but My favorite thing with Lance is sometimes What's happening is so idiotic His mind can't even process it and he starts laughing so hard. Boom. He just falls straight on his face It happened in this movie. I don't I think we took it out But when Poopies was doing The uh The the the tight wire with the dick. Yeah with the the Dick shocker He was having trouble taking some basic directions and he couldn't really wasn't comprehending what exactly was going on Yeah And Lance just just drops his camera, falls face first. It's so good. There's a moment in my genuine life where we had those dick. Tom and I had those dick collars on. Tom Sker and I Just mind your own business with a dominatrix. And I wish we could have used this and we didn't But it's like it's one of my favorite moments with my best friend. is work tethered dick to dick with seeing who could outlast each other On the shot collar on the shot collar. Oh, that's a really good idea. And she was going up and going up and then going up And then we both get to ten and we're kind of wait, are you guys like Dock to dig Docking like this. Oh, tip to tip, tip to tip. Okay, okay, okay. And we're tethered really closely and going stomach to stomach Full eye contact. full eye contact. Iidentical dicks, we have identical decks, identical decks. Both huge, very huge. Let's just say they're love seats, they're not wrap around couches. And so And she gets done And she goes that's as high as it goes. And I was like, okay. She goes, So I guess you guys both win. And like great. And it's me and Tom. She goes, Do you guys want to come I And in only moments that you only experience privately, Tom just looks at me like going How do we answer that? L go how would you do that? goes I could just make you guys come real quick. And we were like And Tom goes no. And I go, no, I don't think we want to come And she goes, all right, then we're done. And we're like, hold on, wait, walk us through more of how we come. Do you want to take a come? Yeah Do you want to take a come? And then she was so casual about it. She goes, I get you guys come real fast. And we're like, wait, how would you do that? And she was like Do me show you and I'm like, no, no, no, just us. How do you do that? Why you're still like this? Yeah, No, yes, yes, we're still tethered. But she was gonna make you come why you're still tetered?. I had no idea she never walked us through it. She was just like, Well, if you don't wanna come then I think we're done And we're like, Isn't can I see this anywhere? No behind a paywall. We did it. and by the way, that Because Tom is not Johnny Knoxville. Tom's like edit all that out where we have wives. And I was like, we didn't, we don't come though. Like like you never came. I mean, there's so much 'cause Tom's like just what we have care He regretted it. No he still doesnn't regret it Tom's like, he says't when any wented to see it. Tom's like He made sure that it was not like Tom was he was fat at the time too and he was like there's he's a dude. Tom is never going to be on Jackass. He is the fucking furthest from Jackass. He doesn't like surprises. He doesn't like if you don't answer the call or phone the return a call, he gets freaked out. Well that's great. Like if he didn't like surprises, then like he's going to give a great reaction Oh Yeah. I would love Yeah, he would give a great reaction. So if you need any help God, I would love that He loves practical jokes when he's in control He likes to be the hammer, not the nail Oh yeah Oh, yeah It's interesting The friend how a friend ends up defining you Like because like it's interesting that like One of the one of the greatest people in the world, in my opinion and Feel free to tell me if I'm wrong is Chris Paontius I I almost asked you if you'd ever met him before I got to hang out with him because I think you would love him. I don't know. No, no and I only say that because I know, I know I think I've met you in And I think I've met I think I've met Leyan, No I've met We Man I know I know Steveo, I met Demitri one time in New York and we ended up drinking and talking just about Jackass. I feel like I would have I met Ryan. I met the whole Philly crew. I met Bam. Yeah. What was so interesting about Ryan Dunn? is I don't need to share this because it's a positive thing and he's no longer with us We did the test for traravel Channel It was called Birth Conquer, was the show. It was going be called Dun the Conqueror, Birth the Conquor Tw other guys audition. I don't know they are. And um or tested All we had to do was ride a roller coaster with a with u blindfold on. And it was about mostly roller coasters, but you also did like wild thrills like jump off Stratosphere, jump off buildings Swim like it was swim with sharks. It was crazy stuff. Right. And you hate roller coasters, right? hate hate roller coasters. Yeah, which is great TV if you really hate something. Yeah. And D had two of his buddies with him And then bam and the whole Pennsylvania crew came out to support him. Oh, that's nice. And yeah, it was very nice. And it was at the very beginning of Jackass I was thirty sixth at the time. and so whenever that no it wasn't at the beginning of Jack was ten years after Jack F. T ten years. But I remember kids yelling, D jackass to bam And he was like, I don't know how to do jackass. And like do jackass. But Dun came up to me And we kind of met and I was a fan. I didn't let him know that I was a fan And then we were sitting at picnic tables and he came up to me and he goes, Dude, I think you're going get this show And I was like, really? And he goes, My buddyies rooade the ride with you And they said you're fucking hysterical. And I was like, reallyally? And he goes Did you really ask if a blind person had ever ridden this ride? And I was like, well, yeah, because we're blindfolded. And I just said, have you ever had a blind person on this ride? And they're like, how would I know if they're blind? And I go, haveave you ever had to watch someone's dog And they were like or hold someone's cane? Has anyone ever had sunglasses on? Wait, wait what Why is watching someone's dog an indication of blindness? Because they' there a dog that can Oh. Okay, I got it. I got it. I got it. And Dun sat with me and he was like, why did you say that? And I said, because if it was a blind person question he started laughing and he goes Sweet is like So like what I just thought we're supposed to scream. And I was like, No, I don't know what we're supposed to do, man. And we endnded up hanging out And then I reached out to him a couple of times. I was in thealed. He's like, you talked. He's like so w likeike I thought we were just supposed to scream and I was like I was like, no, I don't know what you're supposed to do in this show. Yeah. And then I ended up getting it and I ended up keeping in touch with him. because I would do shows out in Philly or in that area and And I'd always like, yo, come out to a show and see. But he was the sweetest fucking guy. him Pontius are like in my opinion kind of a little bit of the heart of of jackass. Oh yeah. likeike Chris P this, I may have met Chris I feel like I would have remembered But I party a lot. I party a lot Um He has He's like poopies, like he says things and he's not Trying to be funny, they just come out hysterical Well, I mean Pontius is the funniest, if you ask me, he's funnier than me, he's funnier than everybody. And hisis cribbs is the greatest cribs that's ever been. His truck the back of between to auck H and reed red red man Have the two best cribs ever. Oh, it's Red Men's Have you never seen Redman? No Redman just goes to his apartment. Everyone else is runntning houses and he took you to his apartment And it was like his PlaySation that had to be kind of rigged to keep the thing plugged in. so it was up against the wall. And it was like, I mean it was his real place. Yeah, yeah. Paontius' was the best. Yeah. How did you meet him He was came from Big Brother. He was a skater and he started out being interviewed for Big Brother Then he started working for Big Brother and Jeff would fire him and then always rehire him because you can't help but love Pontius And he's just, u his father' a surgeon, his sister's a surgeon, and he has that type of brain. He's just really creative and It's just so fucking funny. and u I remember And he could be a real handful too sometimes. Re Oh my god when he was drrinking and and you know, you get on flights, drinking and taking You know, he'd mix Sanx and Ambiian and the next thing, you know, his His mind is off, but his body is on So he would walk into the bathrooms doesn't remember it is. You walk into the bathroom, open the door Stay in the bathroom And he'd be in the hall, he'd open the bathroom door. Close the bathroom door. turnurn around and start peeing, but he never went in. He's just standing in the middle of the aisle of the plane pissing But in his mind, he's peing or he would crawl over get in an empty seat, but it would be like a family of three. You know, he doesn't know. And u Tremaine, you could see Tremaine he'd have a hood on and hed put his hood on and just pull it all tight and just look down you know. I mean, wild booys is easily one of the most ennjoyable I love that show. Wild Boys was so when they got actually attacked by lions That is maybe my favorite moment in. There's so many of my favorite moments in television that you have been a part of that you've orchestrated that have been like Just I mean, I don't think anyone will ever remember what it's like to be at home No one don't know what it's like to be at home and turn on the television and be astounded by something you watch becausecause everything now is just like this Yeah. like I don't know if Jackass could exist in todayayss like to to try to come out with Jackass. It's like because there's so many the Dutersons tried it They did they did something similar Dudes are trying it online all the time. Yeah Well Yeah. I mean Yeah, we came out before the came before before YouTube or whatever All of that. Yes. And you were up against traditional media, which is And then and then you You did like the double date of like the Richie Richie Cunningam of Two girls at one restaurant where you were jackass and movie star Well,, you know, I wish I had have made some better choices for the movies early on But yeah, I was lucky enough to be able to do that. I sat next to the dude who wrote the Ringer Dodgerss game. Ricky Blitz He fucking funny fucking unny He's amazing. Went to a Dodgers game and he was like, fver go So I wrote a movie about this thing. I think you'd probably like it. And I was like, nice. And he was like, Yeahah, we got this guy Johnny Koville's gonna start it And I was like Oh this is going to be fucking great and And it's I mean, still clip that goes virals when Those guys don't know that we getting ice cream. Oh my God, that is onene of the funniest fucking moments I've been a part of because Jeffy Aaron, the actor just impmrov that. And it was so funny and we had to shoot so many takes because soz we would get near that. part of the scene and I knew it was coming. I'm like, B I just couldn't help it, you know That was I love that line. in that movie. I love that line in that movie. I mean, A I'm in touch with a lot of those guys. Eddie Barbanell, my roommate in the movie is always calling me breaking my balls over something Um So yeah, Ricky's funny Yeah. So okay, so Jackass bestest and last is coming out, june twenty sixth on Paramount plus No, in theaters only only theaters only. Yeah Yeah, yeah, in theaters. Yeah, it just As a matter of fact, I think the bit is his dick. Yeah, I was driving in one morning I called Jeff. I'm like, whyy don't we Why don't we see if Uh Roni wants to do the high jump buck naked U because my wife had suggested for this thing, Oh you should redo the original Olympics they did just buck naked. And I thought that was a funny idea. so I wanted Pontius to do the high jump And it's because he takes it so fucking serious And it's just so much nonstop cock. I've never seen someone redo a take of just because their dick timing was off Oh yeah, yes ye off this. hold on. I can do it Oh, you saw the movie, right? Yeah. It's a whole fucking movie. Yeah And just how namees the Dick slaps. Yeah, the Detroit Muscle Rock, the Tahitian dancer. I don't know where his little mind goes, but I'm sure happy it takes the trip. I'm a part I'm a little bit of everyone on that on that in that group because I am I've always been the naked guy. I have no problem being the naked guy. And I remember when that was like apparently like not cool, but I still think it's I still think it's cool. It is odd seeing you with the shirt on Yeah. Yeah, it's weird I was I was there I was I I man I'm but yes, I I've always found him naked funny Yeah Like it's a big part of our of Jackass cock is like most of our franchise. I have a voice text from the rock. So my daughter. My daughter, like one of my biggest moments ever. And you know, I don't think it's hard for anyone to understand, but like I me and you are of the same age where like a movie star was a big deal for us growing up If you met a famous person, that was like crazy. you didn't meet them in Knoxville or in Tampa And then When I came out here and then like and I got in the business, I didn't know anyone famous. I just knew comics. And then I did this video when Tom Sagurro was fat shaming me And I did this video And And And let's see if I can if it's in the messages Um And the rock retweeted me and I lost my mind. because the rock we treated me, listen to this Eybody It's u DJ. He would just wed lollipops and do and just fucking All you got to do is talk It's a great gig. All I have to do is talk Like what happens? like because I'm in a place in my life. I'm how old are you? fifty three, fifty five, fifty five I'm in a place of my life where I've done all the things I wanted to do. I can keep doing some things I have to really figure out like with limited time left What What do I want to do? And that's where I am. Yeah, me and my wife Do we get This is supposedly and I don't believe it personally This is the last jackass. and I only say that because you in the electric chair got emotional and I believe you. But uh You just kind of want to work with people you like. That's kind of the headline U and me and the Jagas guys will still do things together. like there's plans for us to do other movies together, but not Jackass. Jackass is done. like we're done. I like I like that. I like that so fucking much get this out. like like or keep it in doesn't matter. like a canon ball. Well, canannonball run. we did the gumball rally. You did the gumball rally. saying like scripted Sripted Well I with your buster Kat in love with a scripted old school Charlie Chaplin, Keystone Cops, Jackass crew, Movie I'm talking like is that what we're looking at? I've always had a fantasy about doing a heist movie with me and the Jackass guys because if a group of guys and you know, Rachel, if they're less suited pull off a heist If anyone's less suited, it's us. Yeah. And u Would you play yourselves I think we would play virgins Virgins. Hello, Louise, versions of ourselves, right? You know But he might as a guy who's done a couple projects only as himself Might I pitch just playing yourself It's so much easier to act I'm in the second season myself. Like I have a movie. I'm supposed to start in January and it's not me. I don't know how I' do it They were like, do you wantanna do a rewrite? I go, canan we change that guy Jack to Bertdie Is it a comedy No My God, you're hurting my belly. It's a ice movie. Oh shit. Well, I'll be first in line to see it. I' be on Paramount plood like I want to see more of you. You as an actor was very enjoyable. I mean really like You've always been great and everything you do, your vulnerability just rises to the top, but your fearlessness. And and I just want to know like what do we get from you? What more do we get from you? Like what done with you Like I don't want to see last Jack ass. and then all of a sudden I'm watching you at UT games, watching your son pitch. L I want like what do we get from you And it's not your obligation to keep giving. But like As a fan Yeah, no, I mean, there's a lot of things, you know, I love making documentaries and still make starring and producce movies Oh fuck, what a great documentary and I'm sure it was a headache for you The Wild Whites, the wild Oh yeah, that Yeah, they go for it The wild there I never went to set because then if I If I'm on set, it becomes a different thing, right? So you just want to let them do their thing and They're a very charismatic bunch of outlaws. What great suuper likeable. What a great documentary that was. Thank you Thank you. That was Julian Nittzburg directed it for us and He was you saw the original dancing oututlaws from the early eighties, those tapes. No. I did only after I watched your.
