Better on Draft Taster | Schlafly Tap Takeover at Books & Brews BrownsburgJun 26, 2026 — starts at 0:00

Whether your beer is in a bottle, can or glass, kick back and relax. It's better on draft. I am getting ready to bike over to Books and Brews, but I wanted to test the equipment first. So before I biked to Books and Brews , I looked at what was currently on tap as part of the tap takeover. And right now we have a barrelaged imperial scout , a dry hopped American pale ale , chest a bit hazy IPA, which is a bit New England hazy shockingly . The coles , the oatmale scout, which we talked about on the show , the pale ale , quadruple , a summer logger which is a Hellus logger , Tasmanian IPA , a triple and that looks like that is it for Schlafli for the moment . I'm not going to be getting the barrel aged imperials toout because I got a growler that last night So I am looking forward to getting over there and trying something delicious and I will start recording again when I get there. Hello, I am Rob and I'm here with Bobby. Bobby and Whitney. And Whitney at these laughly tapes who were . What did you guys get? What do you think of the beers? Yeah. We got everything. Yeah, we did that. We did everything up onto it. Nice, excellent. Were there any standouts or anything that you particularly liked? I really liked the Justabit Hazy and the Tasmanian idea. Nice. I just got the Justabit Hazy and have not really started to see that. You were the second person third, fourth person I heard that pick your military baby IV Either of you happen to get the barely sear your stuff . So we actually got that yesterday before the top taker they did a little preview. And it was grain. Okay. I got a growler of that yesterday and I have not had it yet. So you're in for a treat. Have you heard of slap ? Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah, Schlavi's like craft beer royalties. So the examples. Yeah. Do you know the story of the pulse? No , but it was delicious. Love to hear the story . Sure. it was three to two, and I interviewed David Story of the guy who found it Slafe when he got married to his wife to be wife , she is from Bologne and the mayor of Cologne gifted them straight of pulse sheets . Oh so it is legit Polish through those methods indeed she really keeps it to the tradition and everything, but it's a wedding gift cold feast that they are birthing. That's amazing. And now he shares it with us. Thank you, sir. Yeah, exactly. We all win. Yeah, exactly. More people should get married to Bruce and Colombia Have you guys been to Books and Brewers before? Yes, yes. We're regular . We're regular . That's funny. I'm also a regular but I don't know maybe I recognize you as you 're also a regular but I'm usually doing Thursdays and sometimes Saturdays. We're heading this so we come at different times so nice to meet you language. Yes. All right. Nice to meet you. Yeah, it's great. Thanks. Thanks, Job. Oh yeah. Thank you again to Bobby and Whitney for talking to me about the TAP takeover at Books and Brews, Brownsburg. Turns out there was a free concert in the park from a Tom Petty cover band going on that same night, so attendance was lighter than usual, and I didn't get a chance to talk to anyone else on the record. I want to thank Nick from Books and Brews for allowing me to record there. Also would like to thank Zack, the local distributor for Schlafly. He was also mentioned on episode three hundred eighty and two when Wendy and I talked to Jared Williamson of Schlathley about St. Louis, growing up in southern Indiana and the various beer scenes. I had a lot of delicious beers that night and biked home safely, but the most important thing to remember is no matter what you think of your beer, we think it's better on draft
