Well, I actually did something this morning that you only ever see in cartoons. Did you slip on a banana peel? It was up there . Now you know I love bird watching and I'm a Twitcher. Yes, you are ait Twcher. So I'm gonna open my box of all the birds seed in it . There was a mouse in there. I screamed and jumped on a chair. Oh wait, I thought yeah, I thought you were going to say ran you out of the room via the wall and just hatched one of those . Oh my god. Yes. It was terrifying. So that's where you're a bit shaken up. That's why I thought you need a drink. I know, that's why I'm gonna open this 'cause that mouse was scary. Now listen, it's very exciting. This weekend coming up International Women's Day. Yes, big up to all the bitches out there. Is that is that totally where we want to go? That is, yeah, that's just the right fight. I love women. My mom's a woman . And one of and oh is it gonna I thought it was gonna spill then? Well, this is from our favorite woman. Yes, Brandi Carlyle. She has as if this woman isn't busy enough , she also has her own wine and this is called, what's it called Proud Angels? Nice sparkling. It's a sparkling pinot grease so I thought we would celebrate. So we had a holiday in Mexico basically with Brandy Carla, her amazing festival . And I don't know if you're watching the Super Bowl, but she was singing in front of millions and millions of people And I was like, We know that woman. I know. We know that woman. She's so nice. And you know why I messaged her looking fab in Tom Brown too, babes as if like she's a dear friend. Like she makes you feel like that's like, yeah, loving the Tom Brown babes. I was because she looked amazing. But she's also got. So what's she got here? Cheers, bottoms up. This is lovely. She's got her wines because these are another selection she sent a lo.ad This one's called Catherine named after her lovely wife. And then there's Evangeline her first daughter. And I thought, if you were going to make wine, Alan, would you have maybe a Lee there in would have a Lee Probably not Lee . What would you go? Oh, I know Rita and George. Rita and George, my dog. I'm going to nominate Rita for Innterational Women's. Did you get an award for women's ? Well, okay, so I will just say Rita is Allen's dog. And International Women's Day, he's nominated a dog. No , no, no, no, female witch . This has come out wrong . No, but you know who I think International Women's Day should be? My favourite all time woman is Mary Curie , right? I love that Christmas song she does. It's tuck . I love that. No, I'm joking aside. Let's celebrate with you, do you know who mine is? The late great Catherine O'Hara Like, oh my gosh, it like I don't I don't always get massively affected by, you know, celebrity deaths, I will say, but there are some that hit hard and she was one of them. And I was watching old clips of Schitz Creek. And have you seen Schitz Creek? Have you ever watched it? Yeah, yeah, that was so good. And there's the bit where Alexis goes to it. What is your favorite season. And Moira pauses and she goes awards. And I'm like, it's perfect. And it is award season. Yes, it is. There's a bit of sparkles. I feel like we're celebrating with a bit of fizz. Have you ever won an award? I've won the Yorkshire and Humber Speech and Drama Award in two thousand four 're still dining out on that one. Yeah. You should. But you've got a bafta. How was it winning a bafta? How did it feel? Well , what was it like? It just all a blur . But I've won. The weirdest one for me was the NTAs Oh yeah because I've won two of them but, my you know my how brain works. I'm a self saboteur . And as I went up to collect the award, the only thing that got into my head was do you remember thunky pigeon dot com calm and I was funk and the arms were going and I was like not now funky pigeons. Not now funky pigeon. Oh and as I come to the mark, you can watch it on YouTube D atoma gives me the war and I go Marga Pedding. com Why? Because I should be thanking my mum, my dad , my dad what did you do at the Baptist? Someone's knocking at the door . Somebody ring a massive check and said, Welcome to the People's Lottery. I want that job . The people's lottery. They're coming knocking on people's door giving people money. Just see how happy they are. It's great. Yeah, and you can skip down the road in one of those raiser and that man who came twelfth on X factor be amazing. Well get bigger dreams . No, I'd love to do that, but I've been asked to give an award out of the Brits, you know, that's just gone and I said, No, I'm too old for the Brits. I've never been to the Brits. I've been to the NTAs a couple of times, but I've never been to the Brits . Is it raucous? It was back in the day it was ferrell. Yeah. It was feral. And I remember it was the last of a show at Earl's Court and people were just stripping things off the wall. I ran home with a potted plant It's so rock and roll. I know . I know everyone with prostitutes and drugs I'm like, oh that's a lovely fern . But no, it's great . Yeah . Talking of award winners, our guests today, none other than Brit Pop royalty . He's a musician. He now cheesemaker, has his own farm and he's going on a tour. It's the one. It's the only Alex James, everyone. Alex , please sit down Hello . So we've tried your elder flower spritz, but did you hear it? Yeah. Oh god it was so nice, wasn't it? It was delicious. But this rose , our favorite, not that we're stereotyp tyes and an English spotling wine. Firstly, how are you? Thanks for doing this. Feeling good, yeah. Feeling good. Yeah, cheers, you right. I'm very well. Bottoms up. Let's pour. How do you yes break around ? There you go. How do you two know each other? When did you two first meet? Oh God , I think the first time I ever waved at you was at the Brits Allen. I know, yes , yes. And then last time I saw you was Luca, do you remember in Italy? I will never forget that night. I partly can't remember it either, but that was a grim easy jet flight back. I'll tell you, that was nothing. Never ever had to use one of those sick bags . That was , I mean, it's a wonderful city, Lu ca, isn't it? Verdie, the opera composer was born there and also an amazing cello player called Boccarini who wrote a song that everybody knows that miniuet goes d irt dirt, did a little bit like he's here in the room. Do you know do you know that? Do you know, Jim, did you know that she? Did a little nope, no, no, no, did a little Please say you know it me, please say So he was so devoted to me. Mo needs Shazam. Lee. It's one lake. Is that? No, that's Tsaikovsky, not a great ton. Cut that swan lake reference for cheers, by the way. Pottrom's up. Cheers, boy. He's wiggling this. This is delicious. To our mothers, yeah You've kind of you're kind of like the poster boy for the Renaissance or the Artisan kind of rise, aren't you? You ' onere of the first to do it Because obviously a Brit pop royalty, but you've moved into people say music and cheese that's weird, but actually monks have been like singing in the morning and making cheese and wine , you know, for centuries. And actually my other job running a festival on the on the farm The big festival? Indeed. Actually, all festivals were originally kind of religious festivals. So yeah, I'm kind of I'm kind of just going to to get bas back ic. A monk, basically. It may seem you are not a monk . I've drank with you on many a night. You are not a monk . You should be excommunicated. On my on my first when the first so Claire and I bought the foam on our honeymoon and at the point when Blur kind of split up so I the first thing I did was sit down and write a book about the rock and roll years and I kind, of did a back of the fact packet calculation and I kind of made it up, but everyone believed me. I said I'd spent a million pounds on champagne in the rock 'n' roll years. I think I read this. So was that a lie? It was a minute. If you include , I round it down. If you include the wedding it's close . No, I mean , there was three bottles a day on the rider. And if you drink a lot of champagne, it's very acidic, you need to a eat carrot, carrots or alkaline to neutralize neutralize. Otherwise you get halatosis, something rotten. Oh no, carrots. Your bread smells lovely. You would pair champagne with a carrot. Yes, sauce it out. So I struggle with acid reflux. Yeah, well, carrots carrot how? No, honestly, I'm like a lava lamp, honestly. I could feel bubbles and gurgles coming up honestly and the burning. But I will not stop drinking, Alex. Well, actually, but the bubbles should kind of help your digestion a little bit if you don't know if the carrots. Did you get that info off the internet? No, no, just from years of experience, years of experience. And I thought maybe was being an idiot, irresponsible spending all that money on champagne, but it turns out that it was actually research because we've had the great British cheese explosion. Now we're into the champagne soup and overnova is, it's a British British sparkling wine has gone from naught to light speed. Literally an English sparkling wine was voted the best in the world at the end of last year. The first time it's ever happened. There was no English wine commercially available in nineteen ninety . Yeah. we've got now we've got the climate is champagne is the Jurassic coast as well isn't it? It's a fries. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Chalk. Do you want that chalky soil and and champagne is the most northerly wine making region . So it's actually we've got that same chalky soil. We've got and we've actually got we've got the expert ise, the wine making expertise now to make it. But what I always loved about champagne was that it was just a brilliant prop because it just it symbolizes kind of celebrations, good times. I really do love a glass of sparkling wine. This is my absolute favorite. There's no occasion when you're moving that when it's not. You can have it for breakfast. You can . Business meetings, fine. Yeah , yeah Funerals. the hell is anchor ball. the thing so the main cost of champagne is actually marketing. Yes, yeah . So the fact that we can do it kind of we can do it now in the UK and associate it with hey, good times. You know, cheers, you're welcome. Take us back because you were on your honeymoon and you bought the Cotswolds . Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can I just ask, did you buy that thinking, right, I'm going to become a farmer, I'm gonna do this. Or did that kind of instruct you then when actually, I'm thinking I don't know what I was thinking. Susan Greenfield, the country's leading brain scientist said like falling in love is very similar to going mad and it's our it's our brain's way of tricking us into having babies because if you look at that rationally, it's like a really rubbish deal . So I think it was just we fell in love in the Cotswolds and we were looking just to we thought we'd like to live there. The minute I got to the farm , I just didn't I just didn't want to leave Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'd just say I'm having a bit of a moment like this. Suddenly, if you saw in the newspapers, I'm buying a castle Brilliant. That's absolutely This year, I want a cast le. I know I sound like a wanker, but I'm in my turret here . Yeah. Where is where's your castle? Oh, up in Scotland. Well, you know a bit about fixing up in, don't you? I mean, I absolutely love it. It's so underrated building. Yes, yes, yes. So I'm doing yeah, the castle renovating it and making it, but that's got so many acres, but I want to do something like what you've done there. Maybe could I do my own wine mate? And there are there are Scottish wines, but you want to be a whisky. Whisky. Yes, whisky. It's incredible, you know, like whisky is more highly prized than cognac now. It's incredible what's happening in British food and drinking. My timing was really fortunate with the farm. Literally moved in the month the same month that Daleford farm shop opened . You know, the cotswolds has become clarks. I keep thinking of the bubble's gonna burst, but you know, then Clarkson's farm's just on the other side. Yeah, Clarkswolds has kind of become a mecha for foodies and you know and actually food and drink in the UK the best is as good as any anywhere in the world. This is what you should make on your farm in Scotland in your castle in Scotland. This is some home brew . But this would be amazing with raspberries. And so on the farm brew, by the way, what is it? It's not a sample, is it? Well Well , I'm not calling mixed , I'm not calling for that again. Let me let me just test it. It's got so much alcohol in it is sold. This is crazy. So ninety percent of the business . Okay Okay, a little bit. Come on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not bad at all. Shall I get yourself an emergency carrot? How should it is it reflect? Sometimes that's enough, thank God mindset honey but we Scottish Raspberries, Scottish Raspberries in your castle. But I was tasting it and it was , you know, I was in the office with everybody working on the farm. I hope this isn't an insult. You know what? I'd love that with a bit of tonic water or soda or something. Yeah. I mean, that is stronger than absentee. It's insane, but you can't really mean it doesn't mean it's about eighty it's one hundred and sixty percent proof. It's like eighty percent of alcohol . So helps. I was listening. That was my lips. I wasn't farting in shock, farting the alcohol out of the system. You've got your castle needs. I know I should . I don't think it needs any more percentage . He's fine. Right, listen, I want to talk to you. I love cheese. All right, I love cheese. I was saying. And it shows No, I do. And I'll just ignore it now, Alex, just but you've brought some cheese. Well , well , I got a call yesterday saying, Can you bring some cheese? Oh, and the kids are all home at the minute. And I had some really nice compete but it's just all gone. All I could find was you eaten it on the bus on the way here? No, the kids have just like completely guzzled it. All I could find was this out of date blue Monday from Christmas. And isn't it out of date? Yeah, yeah. Well, so what have so win for this one? Oh yeah, this one all kinds of prizes. What would you say you're more proud of? Winning out of Brit award or a prize for your cheese. I tell you what, the British Cheese Awards are more of a tear up than the British cheese to really . The people getting absolutely blatted. The Wensley Dale Wensley Dale Boys are a handful. Go, that's getting quite ripe. I'm just going to have to look at this. Replacing a napkin. Don't know where Lee's pulled this out from. Let me taste it. Is that good ? How is that? That's all right actually. Yes. Well, okay. What would you pair that with then? You wouldn't frazzles is a little canopy. You're keeping it real . Do they have frazzles in the cottswolds? Oh yeah, get frazzles everywhere. I mean, that's that's for the zempic generation. That's cheese incredible. Yeah, that's full that's a full meal for me. Do you need to get in there a little bit ? Yeah, go on and go on there. So we had this favorite blue chicken feeding. Burpa is not gonna listen to us. Now feeding Alan a Frazzle. Let me try that. A blue Monday Frazzle. And you are quite frazzled It's quite frazzled Monday, isn't it? You want a blue Monday? I mean , the great thing about sparkling wine is that it won't make you feed. You can kind of you can kind of dress you can dress it up and dress you can dress it down . I mean, actually should we crack this one? This is a revelation . Isn't it amazing? I mean, what so what so did so Oh my god that cheese is amazing. Thank you very much. It took seven years to get the recipe of that for that. Okay . How maybe you've just answered that? I was going to say what's harder than making a blur album or making a cheese I could show you how to write a song in twenty minutes. I literally could do I could get a guitar, do a dad dad tuning. We could write a song in twenty minutes and I could show you how to make mozzarella in twenty minutes. Wouldn't be a great song, wouldn't be a great mozzarella. It's all about attention to detail. That's that's really like the difference. You know, you just I think you just need that absolute obsessive attention it's really new nuanced and actually just you just got to keep turning it up and keep doing it. And I don't I work with cheese makers and I wanted to get a particular I wanted to do a blue because I want to have another cheese cheese competitions tend to I'm going to crack this crack this shoe is the warm diner first. You know, the French consider the pop vulgar. They just they lucky a little can we get this audio ? Oh that's a magical sounded like Allen five minutes ago. Right with my lips. It's the same pressure as a double deck of bus tire parently. Well, that's weird because I drink a lot of champagne. That sound when the double decker bus y does a brake. That sound, but I love this sound is interesting . It's not I'd lacerated my hands like the time you're opening the third bottle . You let me in there. Just got a claw . Now you said in an interview that when you're doing a cheeseboard, you're thinking of BBC. Oh yeah, that's the classic. That's the classic. Well BC Blue, a Bray and a cedar. Cheeddo. Yeah, well, you know, that's the big three. You're taking a long bunch of day. I mean, actually, I mean, I do there's nothing like just having a really good chunk of one cheese that you like and just getting stuck in . And when you got bread , cheese and wine actually, you know, that's a part of it. It's amazing. And I was a lex love. Oh , there you go. So this is this is the brute , which is the rose age is great Oxfordshire actually. That far north. It's nice that it's UK as well. It's all nice in the UK, isn't it? The nice thing about smartling wine and cheese is cheese has got that kind of quite cloying because he would usually go for I would assume a red but you know the acidity and in spite of sparkling in English sparkling wine particularly is really just cuts and cuts right through all that the texture of cheese . And if you can't afford Frazzles, maybe slips or walkers, I can't say it. Afford Frazzles, you can't afford the cheese . So you're not going to have that least No, we're not proud enough of our crispy what's I really like a pickled onion monster? I was gonna say monster in Philadelphia. That's kind of like an instant fondue for Latelli. I was reading as well. Like whenever I was like reading off everyone says you reinvented yourself and you know I've always liked cheese though. But I was going to say is it a revention or is it, like a reincarnation where it's like, do you feel like you're a completely different person now? Or was this always kind of your destiny, your journey that you were going to go on? Still the same idiot, absolutely, one hundred percent. Yeah, I think a lot of people in bands end up living on farms. Look, we can't afford . Well, that's like comedians as well. You know, me, I mean me Paul O'Grady, John Bishop. I mean, it's like there is a kind of there's a crossover there as well . They see performing to so many highs. Well, you on the you're on the road a lot, right? I mean, I spent fifteen years living out of a suitcase and I absolutely loved it. But then but then you know I just want less noise I told you I'm at Clare really, I just like stopped and it's just really good to like put down some roots and I can't possibly ever move now of just why would it be there? Your castle is just going to be full of full frazzles. I'm coming one time I'm full of frazzles. I'll open the door . But I want to know, let's talk about, you mentioned it earlier, the big feast of is it like Glastonbury for food is ? That's a good way, that's a good way of putting it. Actually, Glassonbury really helpful when I was when I was getting it off the ground. I mean, when Blair first started doing festivals, there was only two in the whole world reading and Glastonbury. I remember telling my mum I was doing Glastonbury. She looked aghast she thought I was going to get murdered. You know, they were properly counter cultural countercultival but there's a thousand festivals up and down the UK every summer now. But you know, I guess we've got the venue . You know, we had loads of kids, love food, love music, you know, so it was the food music and family thirty thousand people got baseman Jackson Basty Street Street Saxon Darv and you're very welcome. Yeah. And isn't that mean? Is there a little maybe a little corner in the field for a podcast where we get pissed on moonshine and razzors . All the gangs gonna be there. But you know, it's, I mean, it's just so you know, when the first time blowed at Glassbury, the food was, you know, it was horrendous. But you know, the science of staging festivals become much , much better understood . And now, you know, it's incredible, we normally end up with about the same amount of mitchland stars as London. You know, for the week amount of chefs. It sounds right street. And I know we spoke earlier about the blur days and you're in you've got your cheese and you've got your wine but, you kind of weirdly, not weirdly, but kind of merging them together with Brit pop classical. Tell us about that. That blur tour was going back to twenty twenty three. I was starting to think blur would never happen again and it all happened out the blue. And it's the best run of shows we've ever ever ever done . I mean, it was it was just so brilliant in so many ways. And the last show was booked for Argent ina. They loved football. And they loved British British guitar bands, like more than Americans. It totally took me by surprise. And it was no accident that the last show of the tour was booked for Buenos Aires. They just won the World Cu p. They just got a new president. They were throwing their beer, they were going absolutely meant. Graham said he couldn't hear his guitar. And I mean, that's never ever happened before. So we love this is this absolutely triumphant show and this kind of bittersweet feeling of like, oh wow, that was brilliant, but it's over . I got on the plane home thinking that's it for Christmas and literally wheels touchdown at Heathrow, phone berbled to life and it was the booker from Feestival going No, it was just the headline band that we had. Can't even remember who it was, but they pulled out. And that's the most difficult thing about organizing a festival every year. There's so many festivals and they're not making bad they're just not making bands anymore. You know, so we had a time to go straight straight home to this zoom call with twelve really panicky execs all going and but the book it was like Alex Alex, trust me, Ministry of Sound Classical, you're going to love it. It's a great show. Have you seen that show? I've seen the Pete tongue when he does the dance. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh my god, Jesse Wear singing the army right back. And it works. It works. So you think when you sound, when you say it, it doesn't sound. Well, that sounds it does. Well, that's what they say. You see , Alex, it works. It's ninety minutes of hits. You know, yeah. I mean, nothing's ninety minutes of hits. It's just like even Aba Voyage, like solid seventeen. They got that weird cartoon in the middle. twenty minutes of Phillips. You know, just saying. But anyway, I had no I had no options at that point. So I said, well, book it, bucket, bucket. Went down to see it on the Saturday night. Oh my word, absolutely best headliner we've ever literally blew the roof off every there's levels of engagement with your headline bands. People go, yeah, this is all right. Then there's a jumping up and down. But then there's the Euphoria. Yeah completely. And it was literally everybody arms aloft, amazing production, brilliant, yeah, just a brilliant show . And I just had an epiphany on the spot' wherem we rushing backstage saying we have to do a Brit hop version of this. So and I managed to persuade the backers to basically book me book me to headline my own festival with his completely comple, tely untest untedested . And what I have learned over the years is that you never actually know if something's going to work until you actually do it. So you've got a good track record of things working when you try it out. I was just singing it isn't it funny? You take chances don't you? You do like the cheese, the wine, the cider and this moonshine Quite a big time to take too many chances. Sometimes you need a kn ockoff. that And starts next week, march eleventh. it was terrifying. I bet the farm on it, basically. And yet one rehearsal and I had to learn it all and I turned up and got this huge production space walked in and like tripped over a harp feed to Stuga Bells. Whole symphony orchestra there. And I'm like, you know, and but we started playing creep radiohead and halfway through I noticed I was crying and I was not because it was rubbed because it was just the might and majesty what I've done . This is a bunch no I mean it was just complete goosebump really it just and so I thought this would be all right, but yeah, I mean it went off way better than we could have expected. And then the next day we had Live Nation on the phone saying want to take it on the road so I was like let me think about that. Yes. Oh, fantastic. So yeah, that so that's out on the road around Britain Next March. Yeah, march eleventh, march eleventh. Albert Hall. Albert Hall sold out, but Newcastle's going to be particularly good . I think and Brighton I wanted to go to and we'll put all those dates in the description. Now Alex, we're going to do next if you'll stick around, a blind taste test and it was originally between me and Alan, but I figured you 've got such a you've got a sophisticated pallet. We're going to put you against Alan also because I got so competitive last time . It became quite a thing. So will you help me? He bit me the bruises what you see . I've broken up with Whispering Angel there. I said it. was right And part of it is this podcast. I've tasted so many amazing roses . I'm kind of sick of paying higher prices for it. And then we've got Breath of Paradise, which is the liddle version which is all prices . Okay. What I'm going to do is I'm now going to conduct with you both if that's okay, a taste test. And what I'm going to do is pour a different one and I want you to mark each one out of ten. Would I be able to see which one? No because you're gonna put your blindfolds on. Can you see? No. Take your glasses off in my take your glasses off. And I'm gonna move around. Okay, glasses. I'm gonna move around the bottle. ide G myu hand . So we're gonna start. I'm going to point this to the camera. We're gonna start with this one. I have moved the bottles around, so let me pour this very quickly. Nice. All right. Can I just say as well , I am a stereoty pe and I have been going to Mykonos for a long time. I was there back in the day because I'm old when it was about ten pounds for a whispering angel. You go back and now it's like eighty quicks. I know, I I know. know. don't Why do I shout when my sight has been taken? You're passionate about Rose. So here we go. Part of that. More alert and I can't see. Even there go, Alex. I'm hyped. blimey. So have a taste of that, drink that. Well, the first thing you normally look at is the color. You can't black black wine from Moscow Black wine would be great. Okay, you're having gooseberries. I'm getting Gooseberrief, Alan, what are you getting ? Oh yeah. Don't I'm sorry if you see it's the same color who cares if I have a look . It's the same pink that's not well. Okay . Have a taste . It hasn't got much of a smell. For the purpose of the listeners, they're currently smelling it, they're tasting it and they're going to give a mark out of ten. You want some ice cubes in there. I don't think it's got much personality . Really? It's not very satisfyed, doesn't invite another mouthful, does it? No, no, okay. So what are you gonna do out of ten? Two out of ten, you're gonna give that? Yeah, well I need to establish your baseline and give that five. All right, you're going to ask an arster. So we're going to move on now. Okay, we're going to move on to the next one. I'm going to choose this one for the purpose of people watching. You can see what this is here and I'm gonna pour Paul this hoor Hoor this haul. It's not being able to see that all the sounds are love. That little trick like . Fuck me when I go for a wee at night and I' putll the light off. Oh, I've bit the pan. You've just ruined, you've ruined everything . Mostly alcohol as well. Pop it in your hands. Thank you. Make no careerly So have a taste of this one . What are you getting from that? What that's nicer. Is there some kind of limye lime cordial business going on. That's quite satisfying. And it smells it's got a lovely smell and a lovely taste. Flowers. Flowers. Flowers. Elder Elder Flowers. Yes . Elder flowers. Yeah, that's that is a lot more sophisticated than the one before. I'm gonna give that seven out of ten. So you're gonna give that a seven out of ten, Allen. And Alex, what you going for? I love that so that's all I can think of now is elder flowers. That's amazing. Eight out of ten. Eight out of ten. All right, we're now moving on to the final one. Do I like this Alex? Let's get Alex in a pub. Let's get Alex a new glass. I'm drinking my microphone sorry. See, spot the sophisticated person who works in the industry. He knows not to just neck them all to we're like, yeah, I'm going to show the podcast of In there. We're like save So amazing. They've gotten the washing book. I've never had a row with someone wearing a blindfold . Oh dare. Look me in the eye when you say that . Okay, final one, final one. All right, I'm gonna pour now. Let's have a Allen have an away. Taste good, Alan, yeah . Oh , okay. Here we go. Have a taste of that. Have a smell, have a taste, see what you think. Thank you . And for the purpose of people watching, this is the one that they are tasting currently. Nothing in there. Start clubs. Oh there is give me a bit more so I can get a good whiff. I was sorry. Cheers. There you go. But there's no real smell with this. What a bun ch that looks very similar to the first smell. I think you're being tired . So have yeah, go for it I mean , that's what you might call sessionable. You could just, you know, you just chug away at that and suddenly you've drunk two bottles. That's it. Yeah, that's giving me that yeah,'s like a kind of boozy Sunday afternoon. You know what I mean? What is it? It's easy to quaffable. You have your roast and then you sit there, you watch a couple of light come down with me falling in a bed and they say, you know there's four in a bed there is fore in a bed hey ladies on international . So what we what are we going to give for that? What we're going to rate that out of. So it's drinkable, but is it as nice as the second ? It hasn't I think it is really coolable. There's a little bit of oxidation there. I think it's not I don't think it's quite I'd say that's not quite as I think that's a five. A five. Okay. I think that's the second one. Harsh. He's a harsh. I'd give that a seven. It's almost it's almost as nice, but not quite as nice. Okay, may massage it to a six. Okay, go up to a six. Interesting You can take your blindfolds off . Ooh, right ? Psyche. Oh God, Psyche's back in the traitors. Zaudia, Zaudia Ow, you pinched me . I wonder whether you look quite good in the traitor's camp. You must have been asked . So can you neither confirm nor deny? I really wanted to do it as well, but I was just absolutely upset on that one. I know you've got so much on it. I wish I wish I wish I had. Okay, so I'm going to go for the one that you scored the least amount, okay? And that was the Breath of Paradise . That is the little version that it retails at ten ninety nine. We've got light and dry, apparently subtle strawberries. You said gooseberries and soft herbs. I don't know anything. Brispacidity, leaner body , simple, refreshing finish. That's what they were salad from words Hallowe, yeah, yeah. All right. So that's how ninety nine, ten ninety nine. A steel is it? No, I think it tasted like a two ninety nine. All right . That's little sponsoring this crowds . You can come with them all. No, and then we want to be honest on this one. All right, so you've now got whisper ing Angel or you've got screaming devil. So whispering Angel wasn't, it wasn't horrible, whatever. Yeah, no, no, no, 'cause they're both close. So it's thirteen and fifteen, so I suppose it's what wins . Now I will, say Screaming Devil retails at seven pounds. Whispering Angel, you're looking at about twenty pounds nineteen fifty. So it's a third of the price pretty much. I know Rachel Reilly, but it's around that. All right. So you voted the winner . Can I have a drum roll, please? Screaming devil seven seven pound bottle of wine , you rated the best taste. That's better the whispering angel. That's what you said. That's right. We're here. That's so just that's look at that Take away the snobbery. You could buy yourself a screaming devil from Azda, seven pounds, three bottles of those are pretty much the same as one bottle of that, and you've got just as nice a taste. One criticism , the name screaming demon . Oh , okay . So he's knocked a point off for that. So it's a draw. No, no, no, no, that's amazing. You w'orenderful. Yes from that , that's all right. Okay. I mean, obviously, listen, it's all personal preference, but I think for many years now I've just gone whispering angel, whispering angel's become a thing and it actually was the musical whispering, whispering, whis youper'reing . Stop, fluff up . Do you need a support app for Brip Classical? Whispering. But you know, if you take away that kind of yeah, just go for it. Just try new things. And like I said, you're saving money as well. Screaming, lovely, delicious. Screaming devil. Thank you so much Alex for joining me . Thank you. Thank you so much. It's just been fascinating.
