Because you have now taken this I'm not even going to call it a U turn as much as a left turn and then another left Where you are now starring in a dramatic show called It's Not Like That on Amazon. Once you open up a comedian's eye sockets, you don know, it it's like it's all the things we haven't been allowed to do for such a long time. So it like the volume builds up. It's, you know, but I you got to turn the spicket and let them out. I was just like amazed that you were able to turn it on like that. And I know youve done you've done various dramatic I have a things over the years, but in this one at the you know, like ten minutes before the end of this, you're sitting in a car and you're just like He, I was like, how did how Yeahah as an actor How do you d? Well here's my journey and my process and my body is my tool. Th Those were my worst. Oh Those were my worst phrases. Those of the worst phrases you can ever someone starts talking about their journey, I want to like run my journey is at the room It's fun. I mean, I it was really fun in in one hundred percent honest. fun aner It was really fun to play a character where you had not you're trying to think of the reality of it, rather than like where's joke Where's the joke? What's joke? How you make this the funniest?, I love that. That's really fun. But like be able to like kind of settle into something and just do the I mean, a drama is basically just like a comedy just they don't have to try to make you laugh, right? Right? Yeah. And we're all just trying to be real people. Yeah, exactly. So in this show you play a woman and I'm going to follow this up by asking you what it's like to be a woman in showis. Oh please. Okay, but so you play a person who has a family You're going through a divorce And your best friend died. Yeah, had recently died of cancer and that's Scott's. Scott Foleys Scott Foley was a pastor who recently lost his wife who was my best friend. And then right after she died, my husband left me. So it's like everybody's at this moment of change. So we don't see the and we don't see the actual death in this first episode. It's not like it starts on the death bed On the death bed. Thatd be that'd be a real banger of the opening scene, huh Goodbye everybody. Mother don't go. Oh God. It's not like that. No, it it starts a little bit after this has happened. Yeah. And then and then essentially it seems like the eight episodes are about you and Scott Foley deciding whether or not you should hook up. Yeah, and it's a lot of It's that's one aspect of it. The kids have storylines, My husband has a storyline. Ething is very It's like someple paren parenthood, which you are vibes It's this is us vibes, you know, yeah, those kind of yeah, true. Yeah. And but a lot of somebody actually recently because our writers wrote for areood and they were like, you were on it. I was like, Yeahah, I did three episodes. They go, Earin, you did six. Who's to say? That's what's so great Be you're a working actor and why keep those kind of stats about yourself in your head? remember that's what we have IMDB for, which do like to look at my page every day. And you're too busy like sitting there on Ghostbusterss message boards, right? and saying like they ruined those ladies ruined it. Yes. you're very r my childhood. What is Slimer's background? But this is a very exciting show for you to be on because you're flexing your Right Which are mighty, I must say. When I saw those dramatic muscles, I was like, she's been working out metaphorically, dramatically and the dramatic gym. Yes. That's where we go to work our dramatic muscles. When you Is this your first crying scene in a TV or a movie? No I did an episode of Hawthorne I mean,, I have to repeat that because I't I did an episode of Hawthorne, the Jada Picketmith show years ago and had to cry about my dead baby and my mom who was dying. You know, it was like all those medical shows that people pop up on. You know, I cried blood out my eyes on Greay's anatomy, but then cried blood out of your eyes in Greay's anatomy I guess they're not technically tears. That's just blood That's just blood. what happened you in Gr's Anatomy? k me April killed me. Everyone's dead U but so the show will get picked up and everyone will be a zombie in it, is that? Yeah obviously. Okay. it is really interesting to like in this day and age, I feel like to do a drama show where it's truly just like about feelings about feelings and normal interactions and normal people like relatable things that we all go through rather than like And also they're under a bubble, or and also one of them is a ghost. And also this is called Purubus. This is Just go ahead and call Racy Horn out. Go ahead acy horn. I love you. You're name. You' you're great. You're a good person. She's great. But but yeah, it is, I mean, it is interesting to see a show that like has such a low I mean,, you know, a dying mother and best friend is kind of you know, a concept, but it's not high concept like a lot of shows are these days. Yeah. no, no, no which is which is really I don't know, I find it refreshing. and that's an honest answer. Do you think zombies, when they become zombies and they have families and they're like loved ones become zombies. Do they keep a zombie family like they're a zombie family and they still keep their relationships between each other, you know, orr do you think that they don't recognize? This where Zombie family Zombie family they' at home. likeike one of them's a little tired and taking a nap and is like, but still is hungry for human flesh. One of them wants their nose piers. And you know other Turning other people into zombies is competition for your own food, which is rapidly dwindling the last people there are. although there must be babies born. So like it's like when people ask me for like, oh, hey, can you give me advice of how to get into show business? I'm like, no, you're competition. Yeah.
