Miss time. tellell me what you're stressed about and I'll tell you what I'm stressed about I just had to do an hour of admin with my mum. Right. So she can't like she's just like it's in the documents. I'm like, I'm in the documents, Mum. It's not in there. Like she doesn't understand the jargon of a computer. So ye. And then you st being o anyway, she's fine. Yeah, mine the other day had a thing where she goes She goes to me. Oh, found out. I found out I was paying for prime said, Oh, you know, you' not got crime So No, no, no, I don't want that. Ever such a nice guy on the phone So what you mean on the phone She went well, rung it, runung him up Only that generation rings fucking personon. no one man's call centers anymore. And she goes He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe it. just shows you didn't it. But you just imagine this guy on the other end of the line on pound an hour or whatever going. Oh, that is terrible. Yeah She was looking at his phone. Y, yeah, Mrs. Green, that's all. I was around Mum's the other day and I could hear her just giving some codes over on the phone and I came downstairs. I was like, Yeah, what are he you doing? And she was like, Oh, this chap's ask for all these codes I'm getting. Yeah. And it it was like just spat, you know, they just hacked her account and she was just giving them all the codes to put in They put an iPad, a computer like She sends us stuff on the WhatsApp that my sister's a mirring. She goes, is this legit? And it's the most obvious sc. it's literally called like give me all your money you done moron. com. Give me your bank code. is this legit? Like there's not even anything in it for a it's not like if you give me your bank details, you get this rebate or you win this like house whatever, there's nothing in it. It's just some random person can email them It's not even in the normal emails. It's in the folder in your emails marked. Do not even open this. Like it's not It's gonna if you open this email, your bank account's going to be drained and so youll go, Oh, better have a look at that Yeah, that looks interesting. Yeah yeah I have a little look at o could be something could be I got one. No, don't open that. donon't open that What's a boone any my ph prrime thing in the end after about half, I goes, showh me your bank statement. And she goes to me, Yeahah, it just shows you. Got on the phone with him and he said, I can't believe you've been paying for this for a year. And he gave me all the money back. I said, you sure. It doesn't sound like a big company to give you back. you how much this is like six hundred quid or something mad like that And she went well it wasn't that much. It was like fifty quid or stuff. Anyway, she goes I checked her bank statement and one prime payment came out. and was immediately refunded. And that was it. So the bloke on the other end of the phone probably said to her, ye, there go, Mrs. Green, all of the money's been ref funded.'s just clicked button and gone just refunded for this month. I'm pretty certain shes still got it. Anyway, after about an hour, she goes Prime Apple So she's run she's rung Apple. to be fair, do answer the phone. One thing you can say Apple they do actually answer the phone. it's one of the one of those companies where you think If your laptop goes wrong, you Google it, there's like a phone number and you think that can't be right. And you bring them and not to plug app or anything, but like the nicest person in the world answers the phone and go, Hey, buddy, how are we doing? We get this fixed for you. Yeah. It's like maybe he's an AI person. Yeah, as well. And he'll talk for an hour, likeix fixing the problem for you, which is always relatively simple you always get that fear of when they when they go So I just need to share your computer screen with me. I go, really? Do you really have to do that Is there another way like Oh I hate that. I just I just want to go through your bedside drawer and I've get a rifle through all the stuff in there. Do you mind wouldould you mind if I looked in your diary and your notes? Could I say your medical notes? Oh God, it's awful. When I teach I have to often share my screen with on the massive thing and they're always just like Rachel, he really needs to leave that. I'm like, yeah, sorry. Yeah, you did that to me before when Yeah, yours's your It just chaos like the desktop of like a serial killer. Folders. looads of em folders that I don't understand. Some of my folders I've named notes 's nothing in him. Yeah, sccreen grabs of weird shit. Yeah, screen grabs. Yeah. Mine's just a thousand screen grabs. Yeah. I envy the people who regularly clear their computer, who understand things like clear cash I and Yeah becausecause it's all very well having You know, it's nice to have a tidy home and everything in its place, but your laptop is soort of an extension of that. And if that's chaotic, in many ways, it's worse. Every time you open it. if I get a new laptop It starts lagging after like a week. It go storage full. Yeah, same. I don't know what's going on. Yeah. againain, that stuff, I think How as someone not sorted this, I've never I will never understand things like cloud. I'm like what do you mean? How is it not infinite? Like what do you mean storing it? J it's in the cloud. Like in my heads, that means it's in the sky. like the sky is massive. Yeah. Just put it all there. P it bung it in space somewhere. I don't get it. Is't there like I've contacted tech companies and like you know, computer fishers and I canare with my mum Yeah. I was like, C I will pay you a thousand pounds? Will you come to my home and just show me how to do it. Yeah You know, like and they're like, we don't really do that. I was like a thousand pounds. Just please come over for half an hour and teach me Where things go when I fuckking save them on the cloud or whatever it is like Yeah, I'm the same. Yeah. ye. I mean, I pay for some sort of iCloud storage. I don' same. I mean it's always f Yeah, everything on my desktop's got a little like cloud symbol on it. I'm like what what is that? Explain this to me. Make it s That's what winds me up about this stuff is like How is it complicated? I's he I' just ee my breakfast and I had to it was dly unsaturday. It was really not my usual breakfast. I have the same breakfast every day because Oh my God' it. So I have to eat the same thing. Yeah I ate the same things every day But today I switched it up and I'll be honest. it's absolutely thow me. I don't know why I did it. I don't know why I did it. But as soon as I ate it, I'm like I'm not enjoying any part of this because it's not what I normally have Wh I once years ago read about Novak Djokovic's breakfast and I thought I'll just do that and I've done it ever since and it's just a bowl of overs with some yogurt and nuts and fruit and stuff like that. That's really good th there. Yeah, but today I didn't do that. I had some eggs and and stuff I remember when we went to Lady World Tandorum we decided for a change, we'd order something different And we never went back What lesson can we yield from this? I ever I But not only that Well, I've never I've never been back, but not only that. When we left we went it's really gone downhill. It's not it's not gone downhill. We picked a thing we didn't like It's not from Downhill. It always for years had exactly the same thing. Yeah, we should never have we should never have changed. Never change. This is what I'd say to anyone. Go on a holiday the same place every year, do the same things every day, eat the same food. There's nothing to be gained from changing. Once everything's fine, settle in and wait till you're dead Yeah. Ride it out You know, it's nothing wrong but. It's like driving. you need to overtay that car off? really? Just stay just stay there. abbsolutely fine. You don't need to be, you know, I'm going I'm going to get as close to the speed limit as I own chill out. Shut out I'm the total opposite of that. like why is this comep on the road? You're a very you're a surprisingly good driver. really good I'm really good. got you can tell that about me. Like I'm a very good driver actually I would definitely presume you were like erratic and bad. you wouldn't actually. I would because I didn't. I don't think don't think you would. So I think most people would look at me and go, I bet he's a good driver actually. can I can tell, I can tell like can my sisters, I go straight like before they even drive a car, I'm like they're going to be absolutely terrible me this lo and behold, I was much better at it, wasn't I, Mommy. And by the way Mummy, never praised me for my driving My my my mumy My mommy has never praised me for a driam. My mummy said they were good. They're rubbish, they're nothing Th nothing You love me the most. Mummy, you love me the most. sk Hell No, but can I just I don't want to go on about this, but I am a better driver than both And then acknowledge that. They will acknowledge that. They won't do you know the nice thing about me though? I wouldn't say that to them. I won't ever say that to them but it's barely you know 's fairly implicit. If you're in the car with me and I'm driving, it's fairly implicit. And sometimes if I'm very rarely in the car with one of them, but the other one, sometimes I'm in the car with her and she will ask me. she'll go, What lane should I be in like that? And inside I'll go You know, and I'll tell her. I'll say you need to be in the left le 'cause you're turning left, you fucking more. Yeah, I won't say it like that. I'll go Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I'll go like this. the left one, you know, but light Politely, but I have met one of your sisters and just upon meeting her, I think there's loads of stuff she's better at than you. Love to hear this people's skills, timekeeping reliability, Stability Diving. N, I don't know. No. I don't say yeah, all right. there's a Fine, there's a few things, there's a few things there. but in when was this like maybe it was twenty sixteen or something. I beat her at Pul in a pub like easily, like very easily. twenty sixteen. Yeah, it was something it was like ten years ago or something like that. but I've always rememberered that I was like, this is You know, when you beating someone too easily, you're like,h, this is You know, this is this is actually horrible. I don't want it I didn't I was I was trying to lose. That's the thing that makes me laugh. I was actually trying to lose. I was setting up shops for her. she just for whatever reason, call it hand eyed coordination, lack of confidence in your own ability. I don't know what. But for some reason, I might as well have been blindfolded. The fact that you're bringing it up And it happened in twenty sixteen is per It's a ppathetic is just is No, it's no in life, let me explain something to you. Oh here we go. Let me explain something to you. Han life, sometimes it's important to remember when you performed a task well and I'm not saying put it on your CV or anything like that, but I'm saying it's important sometimes to go, you know what? I'm going to focus on the positives once And ten years ago, I played a bloody good Okay, someone at eight years younger than me. although age is not a barrier in that So my dadght excuse or of laughed in a fucking face Be you go, I'm eight years younger than you and we're not boxing. it's poool I've done something really good recently I know you are quite dismissive of the golden bones But God. Do you know what I've gotten into recently? No go Jesus. Casting resin What's that? Well Lsa C for the podcastnt Okay, you might That an hour if you've showing me things you've made. So's resin What do So Icried flowers. So let me just describe what Rachel was showing me for. Please be kind. The seven people who listen to this podcast is she's got, hang on, show me again. I couldn't tell' a It's a coaster and it's a clear well, what it's resin? It's a type of plastic mold thing, right So I've got a number of questions, but I'm just going to describe it first of all. So it's a hexagonal coaster, clear plastic resin and encased in it is, I don't know how you've done that.'s a sort of flowers patned flowers, like different coloud flowers. almost like a William Morris sort of victorian. Dried flowers. Dried flowers. Are they actual dried flowers? Yes, hell. That's what I mean. They're quite good. Wh. What was that? What the hell happened there? So it was some flowers encased in some resin and now you show me a different thing. So talk me through the process. I mean is this is going to be the worst podcast anyone's ever listened. If anyone's listen to this, I'd honestly urge you to delete this just go and find another podcast where they have some a good sort of generic comedy banter because this is the worst like the other ones with the chart because this one's rubbish. So Rachel's showing me I don't I couldn't even I can't even be b out. I really lost confidence with it now. All right, now's good it's really good. I was really proud of them Now I rk. No sorry, sorry because people the risk Well can I just explain something? Because people listen to this and go He's been a bit nasty there. What they don't understand is the way you've treated treated me over years. What What All right, show me the show me your little trim kiss then. so see this is this is unkind. I'm quite good at crafts. That was the only reason I brought it up you said that you you played pool well once a decade ago. And I'm telling you that I've got quite good ide. let me ask you, I do want to know how you're casting resin. What is that a machine? like you buy. You buy two different types of resin and when you mix them together They bec and you have to wear marsin stuff and you get molds and you have to stir it and then pour it and then you've got a finite amount of time to set your designs So it's quite, you know, and then it takes twenty twenty.ound stressful. like a quiz show, like crypt. Well, it's very therapeutic actually But you I' what the listeners won't know is I'm quite good at crafts and you find it incredibly stressful. Well The fact that I make crafts, stressful. You got really upset when I told you I was doing a craf I got upset because I don't it was making me sad. Like just I don't know how to say this, but you texted me and said No! No no, ' it was Christmas and you said Y. No let me just explain why ' it was Christmas and you said, Oh, do you want to come to Catford Library? You texted me and said, do you wantan to come Catford Library? And I' read it and I thought, Why the fuck we wan to come to Catford Library? What are we at? And I said, Why? And you said, There's a craft fair where I'm selling my little things and I just thought, I don't want to see her like this. This is like a close friend of mine. I don't want I hate it. I hate it This is someone I not I don't know how Low she's got in life where she thinks this is okay, but this is really upsetting. And obviously I' I didn't go because I just couldn't I wasn't emotionally prepared for that. And then I remember it happened in the summer and I thought I have to go this time like a year ago or something and it was a really hot day. Yeah it was on a mine bike and I thought it was like a searingly hot day It's thirty four degrees or whatever And you said, I'm in Catford Lbrary again selling my wares, you know, And I thought to myself, I should God knows, she needs the moral support. God knows And as a friend, I should support her. I bet it's really hard. It's like seeing someone terminally ill or something. You're like I don't It reminds me it reminds me of when my it reminds me of when my grandad had a stroke And my cousin said, I don't want to see him like that. What onc screen earth But anyway, anyway, can I explain to you what happened? Why you're probably wondering, yeah but you didn't turn up? There's a good reason for that I got on the line bike and I thought, I'm absolutely determined to get there and see her selling her wares And I got on the line bike And I went a few you know, revolutions of the wheel forward and I thought it's quite hot and I'm a little bit tired tired. So I've became concerned for my welfare and thought the last thing she needs is me turning up with heat exhaustion. I don't want to ruin her special day. And I got home and I thought to myself, I hope it's gone I really hope it's gone well for her. And alas, you texted me later on and said, I've finished selling my things at the library and I replied, Well done, did you sell Minnie? And you said I made twelve pounds. Okay, can I just It costs thirty pounds to higher the standard Please, please don't Please, please. I get really upset. Iain really upset That one, right? that one in the heat. I was genuinely pleased that you didn't come because Right, Thank you. I was aware that it was bleak because there was no one there. How many And I and I did I made twenty in forout twenty twenty. Okay, how many over those twenty, how many people your stuff just out of curiosity. twoo or three twowo or three. okay T bad is it but I have made a loss. . But yeah, I was like genuinely quite grateful. I didn't even I who loves watching you be miserable. even I thought, no, this would be too much for Al No, this is harrowing. Yeah This is too much for the old boy Yeah yeah. So did I tell you? Well, you're not going to be surprised at this But have ever told you that the other week, a certain actress Oh fuck s. I,ists go on. What am I gonna say? What I say It's gonna be some fleeting Look, that's not imp. All right. No, no, no, no, no, it's not a certain actress you may have heard of called JLo tried to get off with me. That's not true. Are you sure about that? It won't be true. Well, well It just explained to you what happened. So in the day, our friend Brett, ort of a film out on Netflix Je Owens said, T to come to the premiere? And as soon as I read the text, I thought, Oh no I know I thought, what did you mean? no? I thought I no. Oh no, this this is this is trouble. This is trouble. But anyway went I went to the premiere and then a little drinks thing afterwards and she was in the same room as me and I looked over and I saw talking to her and I Don't do this? No listen, listen, listen. And also Shall I introduce myself? I did a little voice in my head that went let gu C to this Don't do this because their whole thing is like this flirtatious sort PR thing they're on. and I thought,t don't mess this up for him as you might mess up. The last thing he wants is paparazzi photos of Jayo really like laughing like really laughing at what what I was saying to what I was saying to her. But in the end I just thought, I'm not going do I'm absolutely not going to do this to him. But there was a moment when I sort of saw her from the back and I could see her She sort of glanced and sort of almost turned around to look at me and like it was like a voice in her head said she had to physically stop herself. you know, she had to I could tell It was like a brief encounter or something. It's like for the greater good, we can't almost whispering to each other, we can't do this. This is We can't we're both like It was But you were getting that from the back of a headway? Well, yes, honestly. It was it was it was fleeting, but it was like, we can't do this is fucking crazy. We can't do this. So you know It was heavily, heavily implied. and people in the room were like, there' there is something in the electricity in the room it's like, this is crazy. And in the end, I turn my back on her Oh ye, yeah God, she must have been devastated It's a case of what could have been. This ad is sponsored by ZakDoc. Yeah. so read the email, the solitary email because no one gives a shit about this stuff. and we only did it because we thought is that what you meant to do in a podcast? whichich by the way, people should know It iss worth saying we don't listen to podcasts. With no idea what goes on with them. I' tried, I have tried and I've listened to them and gone I have. This is just, I don't know what, this is so boring. I'm like they all sound kind of fake like manufactured sort of banter. L like our last one laughing where they get into stifle laughter. It's like that. you go, you don't find that funny. It's that kind of thing So yeah, just for the benefit of the record. we don't listen to podcasts and probably never will So please read the email. I tried the other day. I did try the other day to listen to a podcast and I just noded off. Immediately noded it off. Oh wait, was it our one N. I' never This is the last thing I'd listen to it. If I saw it, I'd go no, don't I don't want this. I'm full up. People are full up. They can't be subscribing to another thing. I would say to anyone listening I'd subscribe to this one and cancel your other ones in all honesty. would I would genuine listen to this and then listen to the other ones and go There's just no comparison The the other ones are at least trying. There's at least some format here. sound very confident Very confident for a band that's never listened to another podcast Or indeed listen to this one. Yeah I've tried, but some of them go on first of all they go on too long. I've tried to listen to factual ones. I listen to that, I forgot what it's called now. There' there's like a proper academic sort of history one and there was this thing about Jack the Ripper and it went part four and I not make it one episode. Fuck me. It was like five parts. I thought I'll forget it Yeah You either get it down in one or'm not I'm not listening. I'm actively boycotting your stupid. Who the fuck do you think you are part five? Fucking go I've got things to do. loads, loads of things to do You're able to do this No, thank you. is off very light. I Well, first of all, you've never seen it You've never seen my to do list, never. And it's and I'm telling you now, it's in front of me right now and I'm looking at it right now How many things Seven and that seven things and they're all pressing They're all they're all pressing chs of of concern And can I be honest of concern to the nation? Yes. and I'm not and I won't be delegating any of them because if because if there's one thing I believe and if you want a job done, you've got to do it, your damn sel. So there's seven there's seven what I would describe as pressing matters Pressing matters Are all those things on that list wereere they also on the list a couple of weeks ago Let me tell you something life. What let me please let me just explain. somethingomet to you. whether they were on the list Last week, two week Three weeks ago. no is no matter of concern for you The point is they're on the list and the list will be done and it shall be done I would pay money to see. I'm not even reading it to you because First of all, there are some very important things on there. And I know for a fact that you you would scoff at them and go, why is that why is that on the list? Because it would because well let me give you an example. One of them says by floss. L I need to but I do need to put This That's exactly what I assumed would be on the list. You want me to get mouth cancer. So if you don't floss, you get gum disease and you might get mouth cancer So that's how I'm reading that. that's point one down. And we've learned a lot. we've learned a lot already. If that's how you're reading that, then o dont Okay. Well, don' I can see how one onene of the points like the floss point could be construed as being, you know, negligible. but as I say, it's preventative Medicine All right. So it's flloss because I've run out and I think, I will forget that I will forget that. So that's one of them. I won't read the rest because frankly, it doesn't concern you and I've just I've had it up to I really I've had it up to here with you today already. But the way you that the way do you know people, I would not be at all surprised if someone listened to this and called social services sust stage and intervention with the way you speak to me. And I'm being deadly and I'm being deadly. I've never been more serious in my life. They go, Jesus Christ, she wants him to die. that because you know, and and someone else listening to it might go, would you someone next to doesn't she doesn't want him to die. It was just like She said, how is buying flluffs important? And the first person, the sensible person who will go, you're not reading between the lines here? And I'm well trained in that Trust me, I'm a trained psychologists now can tell when Let. Please please what? Please what? Please, please? What's happening? What's happening? You having a bit of truth spoken to you for once in your life. And you know what? you don't like it, one little bit, do you? You don't like it, one little bit, young lady. When the truth is spoken to you, you absolutely can't bear it because you float through life like a little You look that through the what fields. You float through the wheat fields Making a daisy chain and you ain't got it Few about the real world, not of In clay And it is absolutely laughable. And people like me, the backbone of this country are out there And what are you doing? You're floating through the wheat fields, making a daisy chain and laughing in the summer breeze. Whereas me you know, doing something I'm doing something else considerably harder than that I'm certainly not floating through a weak field I to that there'shing. I'm certainly not making a daisy change. You're not making a hammer What talking about? I'm gonna phone you tomorrow. I'm going to say have you bought dental floss on your b? Well, sometimes you've got a well it's not a decision you can rush into. Sometimes that one, can I be honest with you, someone once said to me, don't try and cram too much on the to do list. So that one will probably I can delegate that to another day L it's not, you know, as as I say, I have actually got some floss But it's it's running low. It's it's I would say I would say between sixteen and fifteen percent left. So at some point I will require some ofl loss. but for now you're quite right. I'll pop that to next week and deal with the more urgent matters. I've got more I have more urgent matters to attend to You haven't NjJ? have you been You you are joinking. You must be juding. Yeah, youre jking now you' jking actually. There's the only way sometimes I have to say to myself, she must be joking. becausecause if I thought this was real for a second I don't know what I do Fliipping it. Do you want me to read this frickaking email or not? B Yeah, read the a mouth, read the mouth fucking out. Read the one email that someone sent here.
