To me, she was Alicia is the star. You know, Liz was a This was kind of our anchor to the past. And sometimes you need that in these shows. you know, you need someone holding down fort, holding on the fort to make sure that like we remember where we came from You always need that like mother Hen to ride the show out for a little bit. You know, we have our Karen Hugers, we had our Caroline Manzo And Liz was really that fixture. Whether you love her or hate her, I really think that she brought like a gravitas to the television program becausecause in the end with her gone The median age drops quite a bit because They're all right around my age. Even Alicia who she's a beautiful woman, but she does have an older like How do I say this? She just has like an older presence to her, likeike where you think that she's maybe in her late forties because she just feels kind of old fashioned in ways and seems like she's lived a life She's I think forty one Like these women are not Very old. And I just want to make sure that while we have all this new era of programming with young people that we still have our old bittdies in the mix because the old biditties, something about them really works. and I just I really want to make sure that we'reatile We're still keeping the old bitty representation happening So yeah, Liz is out. And also everyone online is commenting that they think the reason Liz is out is because of revealing too much about her life that then people will been rat rat as as u As Bigy Andrew would say She's a rat. they would rout her out to the Feds and then something would happen with her life because people think she has ties to some some alleged Dealings, ongoings So Maybe, but she says no. She hopped on stories and she said, that's not actually what's going on. I left the show because I just wanted to focus on my family. My real theory though here is that the reason she left the show is she She thought that she was Cinner clam and she literally got Ciner cllam. Then the tides started to turn as the season unfolded And people really fell in love with Joelln as kind of like an anti hero and then Alicia as just like the heart of the show And Liz found herself kind of on the outs from the rest of the group. And so I think that she was like, you know what I'm not the main character and I will always be the main character in my stories. And so she bowed out, which actually really is a baller move. It's a pretty ballar move to be like, I was on a show I'm out. Any Cohen got in my comment section has said please return whatever you want That's a ballar move that most housewives don't get. Like we have Especially after one season that people are like, you're welcome back anytime. I mean, Monica scorched earth when she left Salic City and I was a I'm not a team Monica because Monica is demonic in many ways. Shut out But I I don't love a gang up, so I'm always going to be team the person that's getting ganged up on and I thought that she brought a lot to the show on that season honestly like outside of the Reality Vantist too. she really she really brought a lot of energy to that season when that show was kind of heading on a downhill spiral So I will forever tip my headat to Monica. She went out with a bang though. Liz didn't go with a bang. Liz went out on a high point, you know, So she's really set herself up to return. I could I will. I No. This woman will be back on our screens. She will be She's going to miss me on the show and she's going to come back as a friend of. So Allegedly Kyle Carl Mia Jesse are back full time with a Sierra Lindsseay in and out depending on their schedules and likely Bailey also back full time And then the rest will be newbies, a big block of newbies in the mix. So That's the rumor. I guess I didn't really report on West and Amanda getting fired, but that doesn't really surprise me m It does surprise me a little bit that Bin Wadle is not coming back to the show I really thought Ben Woodle and Sabrina Bill would be back on the show as a unit sharing that master bedroom because there are no couples anymore, but He's out as well Peace been wood You left no imprint except this terrible Australian accent Bain Woodle. Okay, but in the city. in the city, once again, I'm kind of starting to lose energy with Kimanda and this episode was heavy on Kaimanda drama. But we open up on Lindsay at a booy's night with I think that's his name. His name never lands for me, but I think it's Nick, Ivon's husband And then we got Kenny We got Gavin and we got Kyle It's the four boys and then Lindsay and They this whole episode, I guess my general note is that it started to feel a little staged like we need to getet the ball moving on some more drama, some more story because we're losing steam on plot I think this will get better as the show continues to grow, but I mean, it's a first season show that's inevitably going to happen. But this scene felt staged at the gartick alsoso something else about the Garrett is that It's really I saw someone on threads. I'm so sorry I'm not quoting you precisely, but say it's kind of like their central perk. I actually do kind of like that. I do kind of like that they're always just at the Garrett because they have clearance to film there because Gavin owns it. but It's really a fun structured to the show to be like, let's go back to the local haunt I mean, it's on I think it's on every episode. so Um, boyser talking with Lindseay and their kind of staged combo is let's bring up Intel on Danielle's man, Owen his ex wife And so they're just doing some sleuthing. They're gossiping on camera. And here's the thing. it's like That's that is part of the show and Danielle participates in that in her own right on other seasons of the show. So she can't be that mad, but I like when the gossip is kind of authentic This just felt very much like We got to really push this Danielle Owen storyline becausecause it's our big storyline And so they just are doing shady shit on camera, on purpose Also like I do think I've never agreed with Amanda, but she does later have something that is kind of worth agreeing with, and that is that She's like Why are y'all reacting so negatively to everyone talking about the marriage when that is only making you guys look more guilty of something suss And I have to agree. I mean, in general, like everything would be fine if you were just like, no, he was married He's not. there wasn't any crossover and keep it pushing But instead they're like, no, there was no crossover. Why would there be crossover? What are you talking about? Who crosssover? What do you mean Like it's just like, that's, that's not coming across incredibly authentic and it comes across like you are in fact, hiding. so But I was skipp ahead, that comes later. We also, you know, Yvonne is having a little breakdown about being unemployed. and I said, my unemployed sister Power to the people We also get this Kyle and Carl drink situation at soft bar which further brings up my This whole time is like, where is Carl I act I know that people say he doesn't bring a lot to the show sometimes, but do think the dynamic would have been mildly interesting to have Lindsy's ex fiance at all these group scenes because I'm sure that Yvonne has some things that she needs to get off her chest about Carl I'm sure that Danielle also has some things she wants to talk about with Carl. likeike there's definitely story there So I don't know why he's not present, but, you know, Here we are But they get drinks and I did write down a really crazy quote because Kyle, you know, Kyle' is trying to be supportive friend of this non elk bar. And once again, I have been to Loverboy, I mean, not Loverboy. I have been to soft bar. I don't know if you I don't know if where I've said that, but I've said it on some episodes. Uh and stunning in there. and the drinks are great. They also have a great non elk wine list. I really love I love wine And I also spend blocks of time in my life not drinking when I want to have like a glass of wine. There are a ton of non de alcoholized de alcoholized, am I saying that right? D alcoholized yeah, wines out there on the market that are great. And they have some really great natural and A wines that taste just like Rose. so Shout out to that, but Kyle is trying to be supportive and he's like, that's that lavender foam baby. ye Yeah, it is, but We know you're ripping Shots of Jager after this Also, by the way, Spe of Jager, y'all Pride is not for the weak Pride is not for the week. I I haven't have like a weaknd bender in a minute, but Saturday, I went to a kids birth part. It was very in the city. I went to a kid's second birthday on the Upper West side and then went to a pride house party where people were raging. And I said, is' today the day I rage? didn' rage rage, but I hadad more drinks than I have been having. And then the next day I woke up and didn't feel great, but people were like, we got to go out for pride. and they said Let me throw on my cross body a hat, some sunglasses and Let's let's make history But you know, Monday, I was I was in a dark place. I was like, what's my name? Who am I But I saw friendriend of the Pod Jake Cornell in Brooklyn at this party, which is really fun. and Yeah, I raned a couple of other friends. It was it was a good time. But I can't hang like Kyle and them can when they do all these benders in the Hamptons every weekend. Like I was this week has been Sow moveving for this dumpster deba. But then we head into kind of the big bulk of this episode, which is Yvonne's, I believe this is her third wedding. I read that online somewhere that she had something before the Mexo wedding, I think, allegedly. I'm saying allegedly, like she's going to sue me over this, but had something before the wedding in Mexico and then had the Mexico wedding and then went to City Hall and then had this like, I don't know, there's just been a lot of wedding events and You know, the COVID wedding of it all is tough. likeike you do have to get in You want to stay true to what you schedued, but you also have to make some changes. So I understand that these things happen when there's reschedulings, but I have to be honest, girl at some point, you had your wedding in Mexico, like you can't expect people to like respect this wedding as like a huge thing. There's just only so many days where things can be like, me, me me outside of a birthday. you know, But like when you get like a big life thing I'm team like you get one, maybe two in the same genre. Like you're not gonna to get unless you get married again, but like you're going get the energy. You're going to get my spirit at like the wedding and the shower Okay, or the wedding and the bachelt party. likeike I'll be there like tits out. okay But where you're not gonna get me is at the like second the second shower and then the third wedding and then the third drinks cheers to the fact that we got married a couple weeks ago wedding and then we're getting And so yeah, I just The energy is tough to rally behind for that many times. And I also kind of felt like Yvonne's and Nicks wedding was really just a for the show, so they like had a reason to get dressed up in film Because if you notice at that table, they only had one couple there that was like not on the show Everyone else was The show or show adjacent So Yvon. I kind of saw through this a little bit because Nick also was Neither of them like cared that much that everyone was like fighting throughout their entire, you know, quote unquote wedding Danielle shows up in a white dress. Now we got to talk about white dress gate. so This is where Yvonne, you're not as slick as Lindsey at the game of reality television. You just aren't. And unfortunately, Lindseay probably planted it in your brain to be like This is No Say Delensey Lindsy is a great reality star. What I'm about to say is why we like her for these shows But we have to be honest, like she has an MO She also gets activated easily, but she knows there's a camera there. And so she saw, you know, Danielle walking in the white dress. Forget Yvonne and Daniielle texting and approving that the dress was white. Forget that aspect of it Lindsy probably was like, this is story. You got to jump in the mix and be like, Why are you in white at my wedding? Now I have to say To Lindsey's point, which she makes later on, if you have to text someone being like, is this okay That means there's enough doubt in your brain that you probably just shouldn't wear it Like even if Like say Here's an example, like black tie optional I struggle with that title or actually the title that I struggle with worse is cocktail Everyone has a different definition of cocktail attire Some people go to the bars in jeans and a crisp white shirt I'm looking at you straight man But then a lot of women would say cocktail attire is like a very sleek littleittle back dress. But then some people are gonna to say cocktail tire is like a really nice black suit, maybe just without the tie. And so now we have a group of people that all look like they're going to A different occasion So I think you go Fully black tie or you go like And smmart casual. Sometimes I just feel like the in between gets messy, but Who am I to say? I also, I know I've been talking a lot of wedding talk and people get really defenseive about weddings. Y'all's weddings were beautiful. I just want to say, I'm not saying that And there's no right or wrong way to have a wedding. Whatever type of wedding makes you happy go off. My anxiety I have a lot of anxiety about the attire aspect of things because I definitely showed to places a little underdressed. And then also should have places a little overdressed So I just like it to be super clear And even if the word is like, so say it is cocktail, at least provide some photos. Like I went to a wedding last summer where It was actually like it was like a smart casual look and they provided like a lookbook of what that meant to them. So There was like women were in florals and the men were in suits, but like no Or maybe maybe just a nice dress pant and a nice shirt that didn't have to be a jacket. like But I've oh my God. so when I went to a wedding at So I went to a wedding at the Rhode Island Mansion that was on Houses of Rhode Island It was black tie optional And a guy showed up in shorts Shorts Not like a set Like a nice crisp like Tommy Bahama short and a dress shirt Blacksy optional. That's what I mean. You have to you have to be incredibly clear with people. So I get the anxiety of asking people like, is this okay? but Danielle, if you have to ask the bride if your off white dress is okay, maybe you just leave the off white dress in the closet But the dress was pretty, she did look gorgeous. I'll give it to her Gavin, you know, has taken the title as the biggest pot stirr here on the show. He is reallyally jumping in to the Kyle and Amanda conversation and is instigating for the show. I don't know if he, I don't know. he's really close with Lindsy. I'm curious if Lindseay was like, Here's what you need to do for reality TV. Like if something's on your mind, talk about it and always bring up drama at group events. And so he's just like Yes, sir because remember. Lindsey was an ROTC Sir, yes, sir Yes Cadette Hubbard Cadet We need someone to do a Cadette Kelly, but like Lindsey Hubbard overlay. L Cadette Hubbard, I wantna see it But Gavin starts to instigate like what's happening with Amanda and Kyle. Amanda and Kyle get into it at the table. and essentially it's like a I honestly don't This is why I didn't want to do like a solo recap on justust in the city because There's not much to say about this fight They're fighting about the shit that we already know is bad Finally, Katie, Amanda's friend jumps into the show and says says something and is like, Kyle's fucked up And Kyle, here's the thing, Kyle gets that he's fucked up. So She's kind of okay to get out And, you know, there's The whole seasons of O there's conversations around whether Kyle's in love or not. And he's like, how can I be in love when we're fighting? I love her But how can I be in love? and Yeah, so they just kind of rehash everything and then Evon runs off to the bathroom to allegedly cry. I honestly don't believe she was crying. I believe she was just like, Let me just make a scene so this is like a good scene for this reality show Yeah, this episode felt Plunk you to me specially because this episode was a big part of the trailer when the Sneak peeak for next week looks much better when they go on this vacation, but we'll get to that in a second thenen the genre It's not the genre, The topic of conversation shifts to Danielle and Owen and Owen very calmly is like, what do you want to know? We got we met in twenty twenty, engaged in twenty twenty one married in twenty I sor Married Yeahah, married in twenty twenty three Divorced in twenty twenty five or something like that and that was clear, but I'm just kind of confused about why he's saying that now and not later. And that's the part that is weird But you know, Danielle is defending her man and then Lindsay gets into it and is like, why Are you on this fucking show then because I think she is defensive about the structure of the show because She's kind of our, you know, Kyle Richards or Teresa Judice where They feel like they have given enough to the show that they then get protective over those that have not done the same. I think we're having that issue in the valley right now because Brittneany herer big complaint about Danny and Nia amongst, you know gazillion of other things is that They offer they they offer a a guarded version of their life. And that is not what Britney has done for her tenure on reality TV. On Vaner Pump Rules, she was revealing cheating scandals at the Wazoo about Jax. She was crying on camera She's been going through her struggles with leaving Jack. She's been going through her struggles with her body. She's going through all these things. So then she gets defensive when someone is like Everything's fine, Daniel, Daniel And it's like, no, everything's not fine verything's fine and so on I understand Lindsey's frustration here. but I do think Danielle. I mean, this is the most I've ever been on Danielle's side. And once again, I've said this before about Danielle. She's often right. I would say ninety percent of the time she's right about what she's saying and her arguments. She just has a delivery that doesn't always land right when she because she kind of I don't know if it's taking things too personally, but You know, with all the stuff that's gone down with her and Lindsy She has the right intentions, right about being like Carl Lindsay should be together, but then she calls it out at the most at the craziest of times. And so it's just hard to always understand her intentions and if it's for the show or not. And I mean, one could say the same thing about Lindssey too. so am teeam Danielle at the dinner table. I think that they're being clear finally and I don't really understand why they're drilling in on it. It feels like it's a made up scenario for the show that Lindsey made up. like take Danielle and Owen down, which never really works and Yeah, once again, the show comes up, Daniel runs out and Lindsey is just activated and kind of lit on Rose. And this is the Lindsay that we love, but I will say care the fite I don't. Let's just move on And then, you know, Kenny delivers this really, o, I just hit my desk. Kenny delivers this really clunky I have it cheers I think the thing that we need to do is Go on a vacation because vacations are fun And so we get our first clunky intro to a group vacation I think they go upstate maybe, or the Hamptons, I'm not sure.
