Then I'm going to keep my seven million dollar asset in the current home that she had with Simon and take out equity there, which she feels like is a smart business decision My question is Is it smart to take out equity on your home if you don't need to Is this a thing that people do? I don't think they do I'm genuinely just wondering this is no shade You don't take out equity unless you have to, right? Like that's not what people do Right Okay Then Portia tells Miss Diane that she and Phaedra are going to be hosting the girls in Scotland because they were both on traders and, you know brand synergy, let's not act like it was anything else. And she feels like Denis is trying to like hold her to something, make her choose. and that was his way of doing it, his way of teaching her a lesson, I guess. She insess. And then Portia tries to further justify the fact that she's single by saying that when she comes home, she just takes her wig off and eats crab legs in bed. And also, she's, I guess perimenopausal, so she doesn't feel a tingle. That's what she told Miss Diane Anyway, Kelly goes into her financial off financial advisor' office I'm stumbling over my words because the man was hot, right? He was fot. She wasn't even in debt. so now, you know We're making very different decisions on our future. Fair enough, Kelly, first year out We're a little wobbily, a little shaky, but it's been a couple years now. You have been a business owner. I thought this was your business I thought y'all were in joint business and now you're saying it sounds like you were like a Trad wife for something A kept woman. Not a sugar bapy, just a kept woman. So I'm just confused. I feel like you've had a couple years now To get on your feet, we should have done this finance look through last season, but here we are. Her finance financial advisor tells her maybe You know, we start pulling back on some finances. Maybe we don't spend five hundred dollars a month on chachz haair work on all that pink, hopefully animal friendly dye and the leopard print and the stones and the beating on a Yorkie. Can we maybe pull back on that? I think she'll be okay I don't even know if dogs can see hot pink and purple, so it's gonna be all the same to chatcha Anyway This woman says, this was actually a hilarious thing to say. Kelly says in a confessional, Maybe my purpose was not starting the business but to show what it's like to start your life over. And I receiveed that. Okay, whatever you gotta do. And actually, let's just wrap up Kelly's storyline for the episode because later in the episode, she wasted her time, our time, the real estate agent's time, everybody's time, her financial planner's time, the people who own this home's time The lights, Georgia power, all that. I don't know if she used the facilities, she would have wasted the water on that too. because why are we walking through a four story elevator townhouse, patio, views, gorgeous, all that, all that, all that? Your budget for the home was four K The home is seven K. And you're asking this lady, can we do you think we can Pull this off and the lady's like, no if anything, I think you need to go under your original budget You gotta be for real maam I feel like when even the real estate agent is telling you like, be smart about your finances, you really need to listen to them. You really, really do. And here's my other thing is she's acting like She's gota go The time at Shamia's home that she gave her is over. It was She's only been in Shama's rental for a week. I initially thought when Angela was telling her brother last episode, two episodes ago that It's on Amari to tell her siblings that she's married. I thought this was like a pseudo homophobia thing on Angela's behalf, but I sound sadly more like internalize homophobia on Amari's end. and that's really sad. So A Morie comes over, Angela tells her I spoke to Dr. Wendy, the therapist about You know, not telling the youngest kids that you're married and how you feel like it's too soon. But I feel like they need to know Angela saysn't a confessional. I think Amari wants to have one foot and one foot out She wanted to be a child in my house and an adult in her home with her wife But I feel like she needs to tell them the truth and let them know that she's married. So Angela tells Aaari, I don't want the kids to be blindsided and she's like, why would they be blindsided? I don't really know what the kids have to do with this Then they ask Aari in a confessional, would you have told your siblings already that you were married if you were married to a man? So here's the thing Amari's partner has been in her life wife, has been in her life since Amari was seventeen So the kids know this woman, they just know her as her friend. So when she's asked the question of would you have been more forthcoming with your siblings if you were married to a man, immmediately, she's like, Yeahah, dh, like of course That's the norm. It's normal in society. You see it every day, you see it in Disney movies, you see it everywhere. Maybe in a couple years, all'll let them know. A couple years. No No, I'm very confused now about this. I'm confused about the whole dynamic I'm confused why Amari would not feel like she could tell Angela she was married because it doesn't seem like Angela is not accepting of queer people. It seems like that's not the issue at all I am confused as to why she Mari would be willing to talk about this I mean, okay, she Angela had to find out through other means Th Amari was married, but I'm confused still as to why Amari would be willing to talk about this on national television but not tell her siblings. personers aren't that young and also I don't really believe in like Like why do we have to tell kids about gay You know, like, okay, I guess if there needs to be an explanation, but like does there need to be? I don't know that there needs to be necessarily. I mean I don't write? like If you just present children what life is then they just accept it They don't know that there's anything different about being gay unless you presented to them as a different thing, right? Like sure, children are very observant. They might notice a different family dynamic in their friends at schools compared to theirs at home. But again, I think it's all on how you present it. L maybe they'll be like, oh, why does so and so have two dads instead of you know, Mommy and daddy. and then you just tell them And then you move on and then it's like not a thing Right? But like, for example, Angela's eleven year old son, Avan is eavesdropping on the staircase. The camera' pan over and he's listening to this whole conversation. so You know? is like really confused. Angela then gets into this conversation that I feel like is not productive. Like she tells Amari, I feel like you're entitled and spoiled. And Amari's like, what are you talking about? I pay my own bills. I don't even live here. And Angela's like, okay, well what would you call it And Amari's like, all right, well I just won' come over anymore And Angela's like, Well, that's not my point. But I don't really know what point you're making when you call your child entitled. I just feel like we're already going down a road where she's already defensive and this is not going to be productive. I think personally, my question would be what is it about your relationship dynamic that you don't feel like you're siblings should know, why are you with somebody that you ultimately don't feel like you really want to like claim for real for real If I was her wife and I heard I would be so much more willing to talk to my family members about you if you were my husband. like I would that would Destroy me. I would feel so upset Be she can't ever be that So you know, like you really got to figure it out a Mariam a lot of levels. I don't know what it is because I don't really know them like that, but I feel like there's something isn't being spoken about and I'm not saying they're being intentionally vague. I think maybe they don't even Maybe they're not even looking in the direction of this elephant But the elephants there, like something big is happening. Oh, u Shamia and her mom were getting their nails done. They were with the nail tech. And I gotta say, I kind of loved this. I know people feel like Shamia is kind of a loser and this may have lnd credence to that, but I actually like this scene and I think it's what we need more. The nail tech knew everything. She knew the tea, Shamia' talking about the trip her nail times leg girl, maybe pack a little carry on because remember last trip, you lost your luggage and it didn't come. It's like she knew the dynamics. I feel like we need more characters Like that, like a dwight. You know, like true friends of Like I feel like we've given the friend of a little bit too much Um, Honor, There's too much of a distinction. Like do I was a friend of, but not in the sense that like we have friends of now. Like I need, you know, just like a random person who just like bops in and out Wh knows all the things, knows about the show, but isn't really in the world but like I want to see them. So shout out to the nail tag. Anyway, the whole point of that was Shamia was talking about how U She' be going to Angela's mother's celebration of life. She's like, I wouldn't wish that on anybody. so I'm going to go After this, Drew and Portia hang out And first of all, Drew's like, Ohh, what did you do to get banned from Nigeria Simon's out here being messy again.
