Anybody else got a complaint that they would like to lodge So Ethan, of course And his therermmos is like, well, yeah, I want to clear the air with you D te Why is T getting there? And Ken I te didn't want to be involved in this. Again, like I never know why Ken's around personally, but what's going on here This is so rude beyond rude. Like, you are not k to me You're not ken Ken You're not kid Teaggan. You just got here I haven't even really seen you like that girl Why am I looking back at y'all Like this would be so wild to me. if this I'm like trying to put myself in Lydia's shoes notot so much sex, but Lydia's shoes and I would just be So devastated, betrayed. And she's already been saying and we've seen it I feel very caste from this family, I feel very cast aside. I feel very like misunderstood Zach has kind of been my only respite and you know Buried to some extent Cordyas And now she's like in like, It's your mom too. you're realizing in real time that your mother gathered all of your siblings to complain about you and your husband. Is it valid mostly on Zach's part? Absolutely. But like it's still a betrayal. Like the way they're going about this is wild. But you think goes on to be like, you know, I don't want to be mad you or hold anything against you except for however I view your sexuality But if you see things you think we're doing wrong, like card names or what shows the girls watch, unless we come to you and ask, I would just appreciate if you kept those opinions to yourself Now Lyy at this point is doing that thing where you're just like, oh, okay I likeike this is an ambush. She's looking down at the ground, she's sucking her teeth in. She's shaking her head like, o Camp hilariously Th then ends this by being like, well, the bottom line is we're all family But then she says, we need to give each other latitude to live different lives and accept each other and love each other anyway. L we're not Trying to outcast anybody. We're all just trying to come closer together. Dame haven' it. Zag explains his side in the confessional, which is that when they went to visit Mariah There were consistent things that he was saying that He knew, they knew. everybody knew that he and Lydia wouldn't want to participate in Like some, you know, eighteen plus games He says it's like he's not eighteen plus, but sure said it wasn't really that bad, then he does kind of be like, well, some of the games were a little dirtier, but that's, you know, on you. It's for you to play or not And then we go back to Zach, who says Amber's apparently just starting her new journey into Christianity. if she wants to get baptized And so This is another reason why he has taken it upon himself to You know Tell Amber what things she should and should not engage in Okay Zach, I mean, Zach is the I don't want to use word vict That the symptom Zach is a symptom of what happens with or a culmination of like what happens when You merge Um You know, the know it allism of a young Christian couple who's just gotten married, we know that they get real high off that supply Generally speaking suddenly they know it all U he's also like at that age where you're like, no, I'm an adult, I'm doing things, I'm living on my own I know everything, like I reaches a higher plane of consciousness, which, you know, us on the other side of it are like, bitch, you don't know anything still You know a little bit more, but like, you got along Road walkown sir But it's like you don't know any better absolving zag. like trust me, I would find those Highly annoying Deply annoying. and I would be talking cash shit about this man Mag no Maake But like I see how we've gotten here. And I also feel like, you know We know that a lot of this is Kim's Doing Lydia is, you know, really under her tutelage and follow the program perfectly. And so you do kind of have to eat that a little bit, Kim. like this is sort of a P probleblem of your own making And like to me Clear, this isn't like Kim's clearly got a drink And so does Ethan And so, you know, there is more maybe urgency on Zach's end to be like, let's nip this in the bud now. before things get out of control Ultimately, it's still not Zack's jurisdiction to be telling anybody anything. However, you know, he does have a little You know There's an underbelly there for which I can see, you know, I can see why you might be a little bit more concerned than the average bear. And how could Lydia have possibly predicted that you would go from Bibles and bread making to Bubs spalls and barn bongs. likeike, you know, that's not on her, that's on you But then we gotta put another point in the pile for Zach because he tells the family I remember talking all of this through in Montana and figuring it out and apologizing for overstepping. L I thought we got through that and came to a resolution Isaac says, who whoa, that's not what I heard Zach and Lydia say again in a confessional that they had spoken to Mariah just to be aware of the example she was setting, which girl But then Mariah says, Zach and I already work through it But I did tell them Work on your relationships with other people so that people know that you're coming from a good place And, you know, maybe just give people advice when they want it rather than picking everything apart and telling them everything that they need to be fixed. You want to try that So Isaac tells Zack, that after the trip, Amber and Caylen then came to him, saying that They felt really trapped in the car ride to the airport where they kind of hashed it out with Amber and they were like, o my God, get me out of here But we're we're in a car So for him, it's just kind of hard to reconcile what he was told with what Zack is telling them. Zack says I didn't even know that I made Kaaln and Amber uncomfortable, but then Isaac says, Well, they were because you were pulled them aside. and I think Mori felt the same way Th exact piles are group. We're all family. We're all going to have an opinion about each other And then Ethan taps in and was like, yeah, but they didn't ask for it And they were like really uncomfortable That kind of pushes back on Ethan and says but we had a conversation where we already had apologies and we already had resolutions. And you guys are focused on the discomfort of it, which I think was like pretty astute of him. So then I feel like Ethan and Isaac are like, okay, well, you know, like, They kind of like back off a little. Ethan tells them, I don't really want to get on you, even though you absolutely did. were Gnas in your teeth Filing your nails in a little point and ready to ready to latch onto this guy. likeike y'all are waiting for this So now I feel like now that we're getting more information, it sounds like Of course, Kaln was gonna like go and tell Isaac what happen and be like, that was weird as shit, you know? And then Isaac and Ethan decided to take it upon them to be representatives for the women, which would be noble or whatever. But here's the thing. Zach is saying that we made up about this like yeah, I overstepped, ye, I was being annoying a shit, but We made up before we even got to the airport, like, so I thought everything was cool Fair enough, Isaac find out after the fact, of course he's going to, but I just feel like Mariah and Amber, the two people who this happened to mainly Both said and confirmed what Zach said, which is that we made up on the car ride They're also in the kitchen currently. baking a cake for Zach and Lydia and their anniversary celebration. So I just feel like if they were that upset still They would want to have this conversation you know, especially Amber. Like Mariah, you know, she's good for a Retreat. But Amber so far, we don't see back down. and I feel like if she still felt some type of way or felt like she needed to like advocate for herself She would do it in this moment. And yet it doesn't really seem like they care. So I feel like Again Ethan and Isaac have Found a battle. That's not there. So like in a way, sort of doing the same. not really But in like in the general sense of like This is you've found something that really doesn't have anything to do with you And now it's causing discord But like, y'all have been weird, y'all being Ethan and Isaac. been weird about Zack So I have to take that into account Zach guilty on, I would say four countounts of being deeply annoying in that Christian way Ethan and Isaac, I'm gonna get you on like multiple charges of homophobia Um misogynistic thinking Rudity Just being mean, exclusion likeike there are countless. there's like a CVS receipt length of charges that I can give you guys Y'all weren't there We do have to work through Zach being perpetually corny again. He does tell everybody the reason why I felt the need to speak up is that, you know, Ldy and I and our lifestyle and you know what we wouldn't participate in a lot of those things So it just seems like even for us to hang out with you guys, we have to do all of these things that we don't really want to do. Ethan says, but is that on the host or is on the guest Technically I would say B. You know, like if I'm knowingly inviting deeply Christian people to hang in my home I am going to adjust accordingly. I'm not going to do the things that I would normally do You know, like if you invited your Your parents to your house, you're probably not going to be like, you know, running around your panties or you know, whatever you're doing You know what I mean? So and also it is on the guess to be a little bit more like to understand I'm going into a situation with somebody who's not you know, on my level in a religious sense, so like I might be exposed to things that I wouldn't be normally. Like I do think it's like kind of fifty fifty. But also on the other hand, if I were to see things that made me uncomfortable Like, I mean My bar is extremely low for like what would make me uncomfortable? I'd probably just leave, but Um Yeah, like on the other end, like I wouldn't be finger wagging the host either for anything thing unless it would have to be like real deep and it wouldn't be like, you know, you understand how I am and I don't like this. like it would have I can't even like I mean, I am like truly lawless. I like can't even wrap m. I'm trying to wrap my mind. I'm like getting in the prayer closet And thinking how Lydia would think like it still isn't on you to be judgmental until, you know, like Here hereere's the real gag. Like really we could wrap this all up and say that all y'all are judgmental All of you guys go out of your way to clock people's behavior within the family and feel like you're judged d an executioner and that you need to talk to them Like all these people Mercy and Casia do not need to be here Why are they sitting here? Why is Ken here? Why is he in here? Like why are all these people staring at me telling me that I'm wrong. It's equally as judgmental as what they were doing in Montana with Mariah. It's just like a different thing. Basically just like y'all aren't fun You know What does that mean? It's like sometimes you guys don't get invited to the function because you don't do Coke. Like that's what it's giving You know what I mean Both sides are annoying, but Zach and Lydia just aren't fun But I kind of have to be on Zach and Lydia's side regardless because at least they have the excuse of like, you know, their're Christian braiding Y'all are whack and you're like technically on the fun side, but like what's your excuse, you know So there was this moment, Well, there were moment two moments that I heard that the audience had an issue with Zach One Both involve him stopping people to let allow himself to finish his thought The first time happens when he's doing in on the fly side by side They're like in the yard, Zach and Lydia and they're talking to production So Zach is like talking about something. I wouldn't even know. like I think he was talking about the card game. Oh, what he was saying is that There are times where we just don't feel welcome in the family and a producer is like, o, what do you mean? Like for example, the card game. And he says U I wouldn't even call it interrupt He's like, well, let me finish And then he then continues his point was that there were games being played or shows that were being watched. that were not good and it made him and Lydia cringe and be uncomfortable. People thoughtought him saying, let me finish was rude I see multiple times where Zach, it always always comes with the same thing was that? that when he has these moments where he's like, let me finish, it's because people are interrupting him. and peopleeople don't like Zach, I feel like. and so maybe I think it comes off To other people is rude. I didn't really take it that way. It's like maybe firm, maybe He did interrupt him like in the middle of his sentence. So is that so rude to be like C Can I finish? Like I don't know I usually give Zach. credit for that because I put myself in his flip flops and I think We're in a situation where this is your wife's family and you clearly don't like them and they don't like you And he wants to be honest about that, but I think he's towing a line. And so when they're asking him questions, like, to the side In the moment, I think he's like trying to be like, okay, I have to like think of the way to say this And so when you're asking me questions and like, I'm you're going to put me off track and I don't know if I'm going to say something shady This is what I see Zag trying to do like He's constantly trying to like tell his truth, but not too much truth for Lydia's sake But he's letting us know So I do give him a little credit for that. Like, okay, like let me keep on the road. So Zach goes on to tell the family, For example If we're playing a game, I'm playing a game and my wife can't even talk about the cards that are being dealt because of her moralistic idea about what the words say Like that's kind of a problem. Now this is such a tle And my mind went several places at once One Nobody in this family was going to be able to clock that the term moralistic was actually like a read on himself unintentionally and Lydia because it kind of is exactly what they're doing. He thinks That's like a good thing But being morealistic is actually like u really self righteous and rigid way of thinking And so I mean, he's right. But I he's telling the truth but not the way that he thinks it is It also makes me wonder if They have like been telling this story to people and not realizing that people are being like, you guys have a really moralistic way of thinking. And they're like, thank you You're right, we do Like has somebody told him this like trying to be honest with him and they did not interpret it correctly? I wonder. So interestingly enough, after Zach brings up the game Isaac says, I didn't really want to play that game either, but then he also says, that was just like a small portion of our night. There were countless games that we played that we werere totally fine And Zach agrees wasn't the whole time, just particular things that they didn't agree with that he didn't feel like, you know, sixteen year old Amber should be around. Now Barry says it a confessional because he's no understanding what the hell's going on here Potentially Zach might be exerting himself in his opinion in a jurisdiction that he really shouldn't be concerned about And I'm at the point where I trust Amber good You know she's going to make her mistakes, let her make them. And then we could talk about it If someone asks, give your opinion, but If someone's not asking for your opinion, maybe you just don't need to say anything I'm doing clocket fingers for berry plath, a thing that I never thought I would do. so let me stop. Cam then says, I do appreciate that they care about Amber and what she's exposed to and how she's raised I would definitely prefer that than them not care at all, but Barry and I have changed. And we've led up on a lot of things, and ultimately they're my kids and Barry's kids And I've had some people say we're too strict, I've had other people say we're not strict enough, and I kind of feel like you can't win You can because I feel like there was there's like a big middle ground between how you used to be and how you are currently Kim. Too late. I think you've given up She then says if Zach really feels like there's something going on that's that bad. He needs to talk to me about it and not the girls So Lydia tells the group, Zack apologized and he hasn't done anything since So if people don't want our opinions, then we won't give them And then she says to Ethan, Zach was just hearing so many things about Taggan and he just wanted to hear it from you E tells him, I appreciate you looking out for me, but I just wasn't looking for your opinion. And Zach says but I wasn't giving it. I was trying to understand because I had heard so many concerns. and so I was just like, well, what is it? What's going on? To be fair, I remember, Zack really was just trying to get to tea. But then Ethan tells us after working on the car, I guess he means like off camera. Lydia then starts crying and she says it just feels like time and time again, Zack is always misunderstood and mis misrepresented And it hurts me And yeah, he hasn't gone about everything perfectly every time, but his heart has always been perfect And then Zach is saying in a confessional, I'm still trying to be a brother And then he has to take a beat because he starts to cry And then he says, I was never A brother to brothers they only h havef sisters And then he goes, What am I supposed to do justust like wrestle them. I don't know what to do That really took me down Even though he was crying, it was just It's such a good question. likeike what am I supposed to do with these pl booys? Just wrestle them like That seems to be their only love language or their only language period. Like imagine being a boy who lived in a house with only his dad's around, right? But he only had like sisters And then you go to these boys and you're like, what is this, honey Mmm Ghetto Lady, come out of their prayer closet. let's get you home Finally, we get to Zach's turn. He gets to now lodge complaints against the family and he tells them, I think some of the reason why I've gone about doing things in the way that I've done it is because we're always doing stuff with you guys and doing what you guys want Barry and the girls are really great to coming to Tallahassee and stopping by our house. but I feel like Bowling teeth to get you guys to come over and hang out sometimes. I'm not holding anything against you though But we are forty five minutes away. and I just think it would be cool to see you guys more Isaacacays is not intentional. he's just busy, but then he also says to us that when he does have time, he has gone down to Tallahasse Kim says, I think I've come every time I've been invited Lydia then says a year ago today was one of the hardest days in my life. So I'm just kind of at a cloud right now and then she starts crying again, we'or saying. Kin then claims to the cameras that even though Lydia is claiming that they haven't really seen her much They've been to the farm, which is They just said, you don't come to Tallahassee, you don't come to us They've been to the farm I got Coffee with Lydia once And I bought a cheesecake for Zach's birthday because I knew that he liked it. Like, okay, none of that answers what they said. They said, you don't make an effort to come to us WasZach in Ko for his birthday You met for coffee one time You went to the house one one time that Furthers her point But Kim, who basically everybody has said she don't really see the value in hanging out with you unless you're doing something for her says it seems like if they're not included, they or if they are included, they need to be catered to one hundred percent. So it's just a really tricky line to walk Ethan doesn't give a shit about the whole visitation stuff. He's like, I don't care about spending time with you. I just really want to circle back to making sure that you know If you feel convicted about something and you don't want to participate Don't say anything to us unless we ask you And that's on behalf of me and all of my siblings Zach says, I understand I'll respect your wishes After the conversation, however, a producer asks Zach, what did you take from that? And he goes, that I need to shut up And Lydia says duly noted AZach does finally concede I'm not a perfect person. I could have judged them wrongly I just wish that they understood my heart and that I care and I love as much as I can. Lydia says We would just like to be included more. So Kim does ask like what does that look like to you guys? Zach says, you know, how about we go on the four wheeler? How about we do more Togs around the fire that don't involve us being blamed for a lot of things Kim says next time the cabin that they rent out is available, like maybe they can have a little fishing excursion I wonder if Lydy is still Cleaning the Airbnbs for money Because this does sound like a very clever and cunning way to get kim and be like, well, if you're gonna be here anyway Let's make an activity out of it. I know that you specifically were like Does not feel like any of us put any effort to see you How about doing your cleaning job? I'll stop by and we can go fishing I'm gonna bring one poll for you. I'm just gonna bring A little foldable chair just for me You have to bring your own chair going to be fun So was there really any resolution to this? I'm gonna say not particularly. I mean, we do wrap it up in some like light polite conversation. And then Kim suggests, all right, now let's do the memorial for Joshua But then we head back to a confessional and Zach says, I'm not gonna to change my entire lifestyle for them And they're not going to change their entire lifestyle to be in my life. And that's just what's going to happen Lydia says you can't just sit there and say everything's okay when it's not And I can tell Zach was shot down from the beginning And for him to like want to care and try to show that care the best way he knows how for as long as He has and to be taken as disrespectful, just I really don't have the words So then before we get to the memorial, They're having a little lunch. Zack goes off the side to talk to Barry in the backyard. and he tells Barry, I'm glad people brought it up 'causeuse I didn't know the extent of how upset they were. And Barry wass like, yeah, I was coming and cold on that one had no idea tells them I definitely learned a lot on how I can overstep and Maybe I'm a little too talkative or whatever. And Barry's like, Yeahah, you know, you're exploring your opinion and it didn't land You know, you don't want to import jurisdictional boundaries, you know, you got to know them. C clear what may ask, Zach. How do you feel about what Dry just told you? So we just see him say, u I agree everyone's just hanging out in the house Lydia then tells us in a confessional, I've given up on trying to fix things and making every relationship work and trying to make it perfect And with my mom and Zach Whether they choose to spend time together and go or not It'll just be time, Truth and time tells all So they're just like hanging out in the house Zack and Kim are on they're in the living room Zach's trying to bring up Joshua And more specifically how Kim has been navigating her grief all these years which feels like a very heavy subject to go from like, we think you're annoying a shit onward Christian soldier get away from us to like Can let's unpack how you've been dealing with the loss of your son It was a little od. I really think that, um Humble is a word that comes to mind with regard to Zach like just maybe not be so confident that we need to be at the helm of a conversation, I'm just feearing that Zack and Lydia are about Six months out from starting their own church and he's going go into being an assistant youth pastor. or starting some sort of Christian podcast or like trying to be a leader in some sort of capacity and I just not yet. Not ever. How about we go with never Anyway, at this point Kim does start to open up a little bit to Zach about like how she's dealt with stuff and how the first year after losing Joshua, she was just kind of lost in it But she says, I don't really want to go back to that, but if my kids need you to, I will, like from an emotional standpoint So in a confessional, Zack says, I don't really I understand Kim. I don't understand how she operates whichit really cameul Heays she's got her life And I'm just trying to understandand a lot of like what she's what kind of sense she's making, but it just doesn't really click for me.
