We got some questions about just free hit. theory in general or whatever you want to call it, but Wasn't there that one year where pals were just I mean it might've been like two years ago or might have even been last year. I can't remember. Palace were just scoring five goals every game. And won like every game at the end of the season. You captain Metetta in a double, you remember that? Yeah. I remember that year people free hit in the blank and did pretty badly. And I think Mew and some others free hit in the double instead. And all just got over a hundred points. And fucking hell, this was a reminder of like Blank, cool. You'll get you'll get eleven guys. You know, great, but None of them are gonna score points, you know? I'm my captain of Mo got injured. Shavi is after the season. As they scored and got injured. Um I don't know. Didn't have Bowen, didn't have MGW, that's basically the only people who did well had one of those guys. Ray also. O Ria, right. But yeah, Woodman Woodman also gets hurt mid play mid action and a goal sails into the wide open net. That's how that c double clean of mine gets wiped, but Yeah, everyone had sort of eight. Ish of the same eleven and uh my other three didn't do particularly well. Yeah. Luckily the we only lost a few points on cap with Bruno. Yeah, fucking much of anything. Yeah. He just never shoots. I don't know. His ceiling is so low. He's like um going for the record so hard. Yeah. Don't want to shoot, don't want to shoot, don't shoot. Oh, there's a guy to pass it. Yes. But uh yeah, I mean your your back four worked out. At least you had the DEF Cons and the points and all that went in. Yeah. Um I mean I did something that I don't think I've ever done before since they introduced the free head chip, which is go Pretty much full as much template as possible. Yeah. Only thing I didn't do was Uh Captain Bruno I Captain Solanke with my one. Like kind of at my one pick. Yeah, you got hurt. No big deal. Um Raya not two or six this week, got ten somehow turned. Which that fucking tilts me to no end, obviously. I mean it's as I haven't actually looked. It's I assume it's his first Max Bones of the season, right? He might have done it once before. Yeah, the first game of the season. Okay, so game week one and game week thirty four is only max bonds of the season. Yeah. I mean it's obviously getting max bones from your goalkeeper should not happen more than Two times a year, but It's just, you know, really lucky they just didn't do any goals. He got a few saves. Like that's gonna happen. So Really lucky with that 'cause I was pretty against that pick. Um In general. So that worked out. And Yeah, I mean everyone just sort of blank my whole midfield and Ollie and Dom, I mean captaining someone gets injured, you're on the hard time there. But I mean Bowen got carried some more. So I got fifty I got fifty five. Like I got a very small green arrow, but Considering that my team before had, you know, like three players. Yeah. The success. Yeah. I mean I think yeah, it was just really one pick away from it just being good. And And that like race. Obviously I don't like Rice, never have, haven't owned him all year and you know, he only got two. That was a pick I was kind of playing around with. I mean, you know, it's I mean Bo and I was also like kind of not sure about and I just kind of went Went back and just kind of circled back around on that. So Yeah. Yeah, follow the template fifty five, no MGW either. That's uh unfortunate, but There we are. And the bottom line is like Guys we pick for the most part. Chances. You know, like Harry Wilson got multiple chances. Ollie got chances out of his ass. Yeah, Shavi before injury got chances. You know, like if it was necessarily out of his ass. It was too. He got some chances. A couple. Yeah, a couple of half ones for Ollie. And you know, he's He was in form, he was scoring everything he was touching and he just uh stopped. And they were bad. Yeah. So I mean I think the Spurs Wolves game was like a really difficult one to kind of sift through because I mean spurs were just Absolutely all over them for twenty minutes and If not for Colo Mulani destroying every single good move that they had. They were just so close to just like having the second ball. Like Doc made a couple of insane plays, like his actual career's on the line or something. Goals. Yeah, he was just doing it single handedly saving goals, like insane proportions, but I thought like Dom was playing really good. Like he was just in the middle of everything and They were just pummeling them where I was like, Okay, a pen's gonna happen like something's gonna fall there in the happen for sure. Yeah, like And yeah, I mean Poro was around points. I mean it shot. He didn't have like a big chance, but I think both of his shots were in the box. He was like in and around the dangerous areas. Yeah, d it definitely felt like I think if you polled a random full of football fans at thirty minutes. How's this game to end? They'd say three nils peril. Yeah. Yeah. Like the obvious chance that Doc blocked like put the back foot heel of his like turning around. I thought that was a big chance. I would have to do that. I mean it was open it was like an open net. It was just like kind of a little far away with a guy on him. But yeah, I mean it was it was definitely a He made it a big chance. I mean it's not some like, you know, flat slot kind of thing with anyone. Not a big X G chance, but it was a big chance watching it develop, so Yeah. Semantic. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But uh Yeah. I think it was also Yeah, I mean it was also kind of like We didn't anticipate I don't think anyone in the world anticipated NFO just completely disassembling Sunderland, but like the Fullham Villa game just being one nil and it sort of being like a Grab Squib like Saturday lunchtime game. Yep. I mean it's what we were sort of thinking it was gonna be like and it was. Um, I mean a lot of the games were sort of what we thought they would be like, honestly. I think the only surprise to me was Spurs didn't score more. Um, and I guess, you know, Arsenal, I mean, they got Kai and as they both injured after a half hour, like that's gonna be difficult. Yeah, and and Spurs too, right? I mean, Dom was what, thirty minutes, Shavi was fifty or something something like that. You know, like two best attackers on both of the teams where we loaded up potentially for You know, an essay like, you know, obviously his goals are worldly, I feel fortunate to even have that, but That was the game plan. Like they were playing these short corners and they were setting up as they for shots at the top of the box. He had another one that was just wide, like he's He's good. You know? Like he takes five shots a game. He loves that area. Um Pope sucks. You know, like that's a good thing. Why did he come back in? Is Ramers just like in the baddie club that hates Edward? Who knows? I mean he's literally just picking players that haven't down tools. Like is that how he's picking the team sheet right now? Maybe, yeah. I mean He's just picking guys up. If they just had one more random fucking loss. Like if they didn't come from behind with with ten men against Manchester United a month ago or whenever that was. They would be like not that safe. Which is like there's a lot of bizarre shit right now. It feels like that. And remains to be Fucking insane. The fact that if Sunderland just like win two games, it's like Champions League maybe? Europa? You know, it's like they haven't played well in a l in a long time. Like Villa It's been in like third all season. They still like Probably need a point or two to just make sure they're safe for Champions League, make sure guarantee. So they're not gonna like just Rotate everyone. NFO equally on the other side of the table can't just like sit everyone in the league and just like lose games. Well, there are three points ahead of West Ham, five ahead of Spurs. And then Arsenal's obviously fighting for the title. Palace are the only team that's like Completely safe in the league and really the only thing that should matter is Europe. No, I mean we're completely at completely right off the league. It's just like training ground exercises to stay fit and fresh for your point. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and it makes just targeting teams and fixtures really unique. It's just like some are good and some are just not good. Some teams like this weekend is so strange for me, my team, like I have obviously piss hair. It's just pissing his life while my bench. I got the Mo injury. There's some backwards ass way that it's Champions League. I think Villa would have to finish fifth and win Europa League, which I guess isn't that Crazy. Like they're in fifth and they're in the semifinal in Europe. It's possible. It's very possible. So Brighton are in s six with fifty. Sunderland are in twelve of forty six. So like teams that are normally Fuck off by now. In game like thirty five. Brentford, Fulham, Everton. They're right there. They're like a couple wins from driver seat in Europa League, which would be amazing for all those teams. Right, nerve. If they don't make Europe there, they had a collapse of monumental proportions. Yeah, and they have the easiest run ever. They play Newcastle and Wolves, Leeds, and Man United. Like they could win all four of those games easily. Incredible run. I mean they should be favored in every single one of those games. So They're in good shape. Brighton are in really good shape and they have, you know, something to play for and that looks nice. So yeah. Yeah. So then all these teams if we assume Brighton are just gonna lock down six, which seems reasonable. All these teams are within three points fighting for conference league. And all these teams would love to make conference. Well, not fucking Chelsea, but their joke. But like Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Everton, Sunderland but Conference league. You know, so it's it's crazy. Just everyone's like in play except Wolves, Burnley Palace, Newcastle. Those are the only teams that are like hard avoid. Yeah. I mean you yeah, you can talk yourself into things with like the Evertons of the world that they're full on, but I mean, realistically they're gonna just kind of Finish and the you know. Nine, eight, eight to a twelve region and and have nothing. But yeah. They're still in there with the chance based on the table right now. They're not gonna Kids from the Academy who just to just give them a run up because their points do not matter. They're gonna try and win games. Interesting. Um and then you know Everyone's probably like anyone who's making any moves are gonna be Buying city players if they don't have three. Buying Arsenal players if they don't have zero. I don't know about that. I mean, I don't want any Arsenal players this week between the Atletico games at all. Like I think it's a really bad time to buy them. Fine, I guess. But you're still just looking at like whatever, it's a fucking clean sheet shot. Like it's not I think like I mean I'm like I don't give a shit about Gabrielle. I don't know. I mean the fixture's I just think no if the Atletico match matters when they're level for first place. trying win their first title in thirty years or whatever. Well I don't think it's playing everyone. No, I'm not saying it matters from a standpoint of like there's gonna be rotation. I think it just matters from a standpoint of They are going to be exhausted. Like they're just gonna be running everyone so hard with having to fo like the Atletico games are gonna be nightmares. Yeah and like they're gonna kind of show up at home. play full 'em and expect to just like it be a procession. And I think that they could just lose that game. Like Fulham could just be a lot fresher and just score two. Or something and I'd be like, Oh yeah, right, 'cause they're playing in between I let it go into fucking fuck all semis and like full I'm ever playing Bob and or something. I don't know. But I'm just looking like I don't I don't think world class game. Yeah. Like I think if you're gonna get in a defender or something like yeah, you're you're probably looking at Gabrielle on the short list if not being at the top. And also I think you're very fine to just fade another week of arsenal, like Barely scored a goal against Newcastle, who are A joke. Yeah, they basically didn't even try to score. Yeah. They just stopped playing and they just kinda shut it down. So Yeah, I just and Newcastle couldn't do anything. The defense is where you want to be still from full um and then you know the like Two days off between away Madrid and home fall is obviously gonna be tricky, but From then on, the schedule's like kinda fine 'cause they're just they just don't leave London for the rest of the season. Until if they make the final until after the season. But they're home for them, home Madrid. At West M, home Burnley, at Palace. So they should be pretty comfy and I think probably refreshed and fine. But you never know what happens away Madrid, like if they lose two nil or something like that, like Like you said, like they're just gonna be going so fucking hard in that game. Um, in both legs of that. So Yeah, maybe it'll fuck them up. But like yeah, Gabriel Ray. Brian was asking about like Saka. It's like no fucking way, dude. No way. I think that it's it's pretty uncommon to see a team that doesn't have three city players, but I think so. I still am looking even just someone like Senesse. I'm wondering about, you know, maybe Formation wise, like if we're supposed to be starting maybe, you know, hedging a little bit closer towards the defenders and and not starting just three anymore. I'm not sure. 'Cause I feel like when I've uh the more I've been looking at just the picks in the game It just can't find attackers really that I'm I'm really into. I just there just aren't very many of them. 'Cause I just like don't like so many of the team's attacks or the fixers don't line up really nicely for this player or that player, or they're in Europe and there's too much of a pile up, or you know, there's just reasons to not like attackers, I feel like, but a lot of the defenders I'm like oh yeah like Pretty good clean sheet fixtures for the clean sheet fixtures seem a lot of double Yeah, like the clean sheet fixtures seem a lot better, feel a lot better to me then. goals in general, except for when you play Burnley, basically, and Wolves. Yeah, I think that's right. I mean it's it's also like the other side of that is also like You mentioned the Brighton fixtures, right? But it's like who are you getting on Brighton? Like no one's nailed. There's no picks. There's like they're yeah, Grob. Like they're an okay attack with no picks. I I still um It's also just hard because the Fulham game I think is a is a tough one, but Like when they play Burnley in thirty seven. It's in three weeks. We have no idea what the state of affairs is gonna look like. Yeah. Yeah, who's where and what's happening. And other than that, I mean they don't really have a targetable fixture. For goals. I mean they don't attack and at Western is a bus. And at Palace, uh I mean last day of the season, we it depends where or how we progress, but there's so much yeah, and there's too many permutations to talk about. That might change everything about that fiction. I don't even know when the final is. Is it not after the season or something or what Conference or Europe They're a conference, right? 'Cause Europa is always the Thursday before the end of the season, which is so dumb. I don't know why the fuck they do that. Conference I have no idea. I've never never watched one. There's a lot up in the air. So I think all the things that's very few forwards to choose from, which probably means yeah, gux gucks pickable. Yeah, he's pickable for sure. I mean, I think you're also just looking at, you know, probably shouldn't be playing three forwards. Like that's gotta be ideal. I agree with that. That just has to be the ideal setup at this moment. Like he's just a calm center back who can pass And run. And no, he's not the best aerially, but they don't play that way, so it doesn't really matter that much. And it's just like he's like a glove. Like he's just shored up so much for that. Why do you think City team had the deal over the line I mean, why do you think Liverpool had the deal over the line in the summer? He's fucking good. He's twenty five. He'll be good for five more years or whatever. Like yeah he's He's just shored their defense up so much since he came in. Like it's just night and day from 'Cause it's like I mean I think before he came in and we haven't really talked that much about city defense, I feel like in General but Before he came in, we are still sitting here almost like in the Liverpool of like they're gonna throw in it at some point. So yeah, they're I just um you know, I think the defense like I'm very happy that I have the the triple in place. I'm just gonna Very comfortably start them for the rest of the year and I mean I I think that they'll keep least three cleans. Like I just expect them to clean almost every game I watch them right now. Yeah. I mean the thing with their defense it's almost like it almost shouldn't be You have Nunesh and O'Reilly. I'm gonna get O'Reilly. Because O'Reilly's just absolutely essential and that's not a word that we use that often. Um but they're fucking midfielders. Like they're just attackers. Like we're not talking about like the rest of the entire season where it's like I'm getting some center back and I hope that he DEF CONs. It's like They could double digit haul in any game because they are good on bones. I mean, O'Reilly gets shots from ten yards out, like he's a different He's a second striker. He is a second striker. He's like a some weird fucking I don't even know what position he plays, but Nunesh Even him, he's good on bones. He crosses eight fucking times a game or whatever it is and He's good on bones 'cause he crosses badly all the time. Yes. It's it's better. They're better than DEF CONs because they're so good on bones and so good at attacking. So it's like a different Cat it's more of like seasons past than like this year's category of defenders where it's like Well, I hope my centre back gets DEF CON like all fucking year for six months straight. And it's like finally we have these guys who could actually score real points, but Yeah, I think like if I was guiding someone in the DMs about their wild card. I love the idea of just like Holland O'Reilly and Nunesh. Like that just Uh you know, forget Semayo, forget Turkey, forget Don Aruma, who's a piece of shit. Yeah, it's a piece of shit.
