I watched the first season and I really liked it. and I got like four episodes into the second season. And I was like, you know what? I'm I'm going to wait til everything airs and then Love Island is on now. So I did the exact same thing. I emotionally couldn't handle it. It's very season one had sobing during multipleodes. whyy did these people keep working at this hospital? This is ridiculous. It's like Greay's Anatomy, they're gonna get a plane crash into them soon Yeah ER just kept upping the stakes every season. There was like a nuclear bomb at one point, I think Really? Oh I I think so It got like crazy. ye. I will really want to watch it after watching the pit. Anyway, we're not here to talk about that. We are here to discuss The second week of Love Island. I don't know if you've been enjoying the season or not Cakes are mixed Yeah you know so you really think this has been an incredible week? No, no, I'm really trying to gauge because I was having this conversation earlier where I also have to factor in my age. I have to factor in like carrying like a heavy summer house load right now, which just ended tonight. And then you get to these kids that I'm so much older than. And I also was so in love with the past two seasons that I can't help but compare. And I'm trying to remember In the second week was I feeling the same way last season that I' feeling this season where I'm just like, I don't know if the this is I don't know if these connections are strong enough. I don't know if I'm I don't know if I'm emotionally invested. And I know that sounds so silly. Like no it doesn't. You're so overwhelmed by the amazing editing and the the music. they were using like, I think the Oppenheim score tonight. It was like dun d It was m was so good. It's so good. Like the only thing I would complain about tonight is in that post office scene, they didn't use like a version of the postal serviceices such great heights Like why couldn't we have tied that in Reency bias might be affecting you because the post office scene was pretty unbearable for me. No didn' I didn't like the post offffice scene. I just wish they had used the postal serervices song because earlier in the episode they used an old Robert Palmer song, but they slowed it down and I was like, I know this song from the lyrics. and I'm like, oh, they're just taking older songs and slowing them down and having like a different person sing them smart way to save money. I That's kind of what I thought. But anyway,s like, I don't know. I keep thinking like, oh, if I was their age and I'm locked in this Fiian like Viian island Obviously Obviously you're feeling things at such an intense level. I don't know. I just I just think everybody's like you know, Corbin just wants to kiss people and I dont Melanie I fear for, there are so many things. I just want I just want that thing that I'm fully swept away in where I'm like excited to watch every night. And at this point, it's starting to feel a little like homework, but I have to I have to think like maybe this was like this for me last season And it's about to fully take off Well you also just became what we call a package deal, a person with a child. And I think that that probably affects the schedule a bit. I did as well And it's like, oh, you have a full time job during the day And then the full time job at night watching Love Violland. Yeah. Daddy's trying to watch these people in the hideaway. Please go to sleep I mean I'm like, stop looking at the TV. I know it's a Barbie dreamland color beautiful do this. Setter than reality image, people hotter than reality Um No, it is, I totally understand what you're saying in terms of Like I don't ship any of the couples But but shouldn't we at this well, I will say at the end of tonight's episode, I was I did find it very I started to ship Um U I'm Blank. I started to ship Who was it See I'm even and sincere. Trinity and Bryce. Oh was? I was starting to ship Bryce and Trinity. I was starting to ship that Brinity. And by the way, last week, I was not shipping them. I never thought I would say that. But I thought their letters, I thought I was like, okay, I see this in Trinity, especially what she wrote to Bryce. thought I I thought it was very sweet. And I thought there was something of like a slow roll on their relationship, even though last week Bryce was like, I think I'm going to try to see if Kata would hook up with me I am I am wondering how much of that is producer interference because that he would go and do a second try at that after he attempted the challengers on the giant bed that seems unlikely to me, but u I do find myself at least shipping individual players. I'm like, Melanie So I want I want Oh my you felt so bus your so tonight. When she opened that mailbox in the letter, I was so scared there was going to be a little hand with another pie in the face I thought that like it was going to pop out. I thought Soul was going to cry again and it was like starting to break my heart. But the whole point is two seasons ago, I was shipping couples. Last season, I was shipping individuals and I still believe Love Island and UK more specifically than USA, you ship couples Like there is this thing of like, I'm not shipping who I think is going to do good on Instagram a year from now. I want to ship people that I genuinely think are so so so fooled by this process that they genuinely can't get enough of this other person as crazy as that sounds. I would say I go back and forth. I ship both because I'm like To me, I'm like, Melanie is a star. Kenzie is the star What? No, I said Bality is definitely a star That I totally agree with you. But do I ship her andince her? Absolutely not O And I think they're doing soul dirty. I want them to bring bombshells for Soul I was hoping that they would bring bombshells tonight, but also it also just goes to show you and with all reality shows in particular is that the men They really lean on this crutch of not being able to communicate. And I feel like that's not a great thing. You know, It's like I don't feel like's like I would just love one guy to be able to fully communicate and blow people away with some sort of verbal prowess. And you just don't get a lot of that with the men. There' There's kind of like broie conversations and like these men sccrawling two sentences together on their love letter, the girls were like, Ohh my God, that's amazing. Wow. I didn't even know you could write. That's crazy Well, I thought one of the men did a very good job on the letter challenge We willasey to it. Oh, no, Aabriel. Okay. I was like Casey. Well Uh We start with episode seven. Yeah. sorry. Oorbon was Oh, no, I completely understood. Oh, I guess it's not homework. I guess someone's passionate about it. No, I can be passionate about any show, but you know that thing when you watch like old episodes of Vanderpump rules, your heart sings, you're like, oh my God, it's like. I think this is how I first listened to your podcast was when you were doing Vanderpump Yeah because I that's my favorite show of all time. Yeah, how can it not be? I mean, I think a lot of reality show relationships Really the crux of those are based on concepts from Vanderpump rules. Yeah. I think they are a blueprint in a lot of ways for young relationships. I mean, at the beginning of Vanderpump rules, not when they turn to forty, you know? Well, some of them were already forty.ry sorry J was Jackson season one I also haven't watched the summer House of tonight because of this. So get ready. You to just stay off the internet until tomorrow angry ye Oh, I'm so nervous. I am Fully I have been in the summer house hit Oh Yeah, that's it was the same it was a very similar feeling from Scandobal, but I'm really scared that next week they're going to bring Wes Wilson on as a bombshell Like, you know, he's like,, what's up everybody? It's cool. I'm not doing anything this summer. Like I'm scared U. I mean, we'll see, they left it pretty open ended just like Bachelor producers about Taylor Frankie Paul. I know Can we just get a clear answer if that's coming out or not What's your what's your guess?? Yes. I think where money where money has anything to do with it, I would guess yes. I No this is not a popular opinion. I say let's hold it for another like. I don't know if it's safe at this point. just seeing how things are still going on in the press. and I think everybody Taylor Dakota, I think all of those guys, I don't know, there's just a weird feeling with all of this that I don't know if it's going to be helpful to put more media attention on any of these people, but it was so funny when Rebecca was going into labor, I was supposed to I was supposed to cover that bachelor and I got I got the premiere episode and when she was going into labor, which took like two days It was when Tayl all the stuff started blowing up. and I was like, oh my God, they're going to yank this season, aren't they? So we watched the premier episode of the Bachelor in Cedar Sinai. We were and Rebecca was like, no, let's do it. let's do it. And sure enough, they yanked it the next day You are so smart. I am so jealous. I leftft it opened it I opened it in a tab. I was like, this will save it It did not No no no. It did not. It was yanked. I'm so stupid Um, I was watching Secret Lives and Mormon Wives that last season when I was in labor Oh my go. So' both potential That's I was like that's that's not a good thing. That's bad parenting. If I, I'm like, let's watch the bachelorette in the delivery room Well, now that it was scuttled 've se man. we had was even more important. Oh we had nurses coming in going, what do you watch it? Like they people were excited. It was crazy Oh my God. I mean, I don't think that they should like strategically, I don't think that they should air it Clearly, there's a lot going on. O shit can come out. You don't want your lead posting what this lead is posting on social media. lead Um But'sing the entire secret lives about USA kids. They're already going to be so successful and potentially so wealthy by the end of summer that that is so hard. I mean, we see what the last season's cast You know, Hooda and, you know, they they really go through a great deal. And I just think with great power comes great responsibility. at this age, responsibility. I don't know if is it's in any of these people's vocabululararies yet I have a feeling not. I don't know. I mean I always think about the frontal lobe like you don't develop it till twenty five. No major decisions before that U But speaking of people whose frontal lobes have not developed fully yet Corbin finally gets in the mix in episode seven. hooking up with Kenzie and Sl eyres Soulties got a lot of action during this week. Yeah, because yeah, Soul was kissing Gabriel after that Soulties invitite and that was when Beatrice was still there and then kissed Sincere and I mean, there was just so many kind of possibilities happening on seeven I love the addition of the new like jungle round room as like a new place where you can isolate someone and like people can't really tell. Wh you can a choice where you can really isolate I mean, it's a strategy I am always promoting. Nobody can hear you scream in that room. Look, since you're made out multiple times in that room that hasn't been on the kiss count. So obviously the isolation worked He hasn't had to pay for it yet Sincere is this sly guy that almost tries to like roll around like he's dumb, but he's not dumb. He just loves playing both of these women. It is very hard. Like sometimes when I'm listening to his sentences, I'm like Is he dumb or is he a genius really could go either way. You know, I think it depends if he like has his has his hair down or back. too much tension when it's pulled back, perhaps I I mean, he's getting kind of a villain at it. He's getting everyone to basically want him to be the star of um, movie night, but then again That guarantees you'll stay till movie Night if we have it. Oh man, I just hope Cale's there for Movie Night. so we can get a string of can I get a kiss? C I get a could I potentially get a kiss? just a super cut of all the times he's asked all the women for kisses. I forgot what your kiss tastes like. Could I get a kiss The the super cuts are, it's tough. You don't you don't like to see that. I remember in Bachro of Paradise when Thomas kept saying, Ohh, I'm six five, I can't fit under this pullapa. They showed it a bunch of times I felt for him. We get Gabrielle does a triple exploration here. gets to know via kiss U both Sl and Jen And then we get the sl ties bombshll moment where Sooul plays this really intense personal tragedy card PTC about her dad and Sincere kind of mirrors it back and then they ke sitting down, they ke standing up You're like Okay. I got it here. I got it boring. That's what we're here to do. Um And in episode eight, Melanie gets upset about said fact, stomps to soul ties U So suck my Dick. episode nine. She says Christopher Columbus exploring shit that's already been explored Incredible time. Well also, I mean, I will, I mean, this is where Sincere kind of gets a bad rap because he's like Yeah She kissed me and it was like, how many times? I don't know. one or two And it's like, come on man. like you don't even know how to count. Like you know the exact answer. you know the exact answer. And it's like, well, what is it? One or two? One is very different from two Very muchike, do you know if you have one or two kids? you definitely know Ex To be fair, I only have one. Maybe if I have two, I'll forget that I have more than one. I don't know y. Yeah, God, I hope I hope it's different we see in episode ten major thing happens that actually shot down the app, America's reote Um Okay, do you think the shutdown of the app is real Oh, you think they might have done this just for publicity Well, that's what Chad said, but He I re that. But then I was like reading like actual stats saying that it had a million more votes than the finale last season. that it was like that was how big this was and they legitimately weren't prepared for that. I mean, I always think it's insane that we're voting more for Love Island than we do in our general elections. but you know What is, you know That's That's why we That's why we got voter again a. We voter ID for Love Island USA. ight? I'm sure there's it seems like it can be hacked. Yes. That's why I'm like ineptitude I always think is the actual answer because I'm like How many people are working on the Love Island app? Probably not not enough for that. It's like a team of like nerdy like computer guys. like they work for Elon Musk and they work on Love Island USA for the summer and they're just in a room drinking like monster energy drinks working on the app. I would love to see how that is going Ohes, way, I have the facts here. it was user traffic up nearly three hundred and fifty percent, which led to the widespread network errors and freezing So that's from a Hollywood repeporter article from fiveive Daysam Like I couldn't find the ratings for this week, but I was like This is a pretty high Um, having to extend the voting says a lot Yeah. like we were expecting that that that kicking off earlier than I mean, then we got it. And I think I do think that kind of messed with the rhythm of the show a little bit one hundred percent, that is literally what I was just going to say. I'm like, I do think The vote getting messed up and we also have the death of the producer this week. I think that those things have to He was like the headad of post production So imagine that, you guys, like how like this is in post, like one of the most difficult shows to do and turn around and the level that they're working in terms of editing, music, all of that stuff. and I'm sure that they love this man dearly and that they're kind of like a family. And for this to happen two weeks in, I mean, that is that's got they've got devastating. I mean, I'm sure they have just got to be floored right now and then they have to like still like, okay, let's do the post office challenge It's literally a production schedule that like Chad and I have pitched a few shows and like when we try to pitch that production schedule they're like, can't we're like, Lo Island does it and And they're like We can't because it's I do think there's something Matt likeike that's what the older I get, maybe I don't believe in the love of the kids as much, but I do believe in the product like I really geek out about all of these people coming together and working at this kind of like amazing level. justust think about the music and how timed out that is in the editing. like they've got to, I mean, not with the death obviously, They've got to be really having some fun on like a really tight schedule. And I would be so curious the conversations just artistically that's going on and how like crazy ideas when you're tired are popping out. like, o, what if we threw this song in here? and o, what if we cut to this, you know, them holding hands and then walking away and looking back at each other? I mean, it's got to be kind of really fun. I mean, I think that Editing does so much in reality TV in general, like one hundred percent. I mean, because you have so much footage This editing schedule is far as I know the most insane Um, But yeah, I do think I give them a lot of grace on that on the pacing because I'm like and this tragedy like There's a lot going on And there' so many eyeballs on it and then you go to Twitter, you go to threads, all of these people are discussing it day and date and having very strong opinions like they know the show better than the people that run the show. And I think that's just so much noise. I can't imagine what that's like U I mean, it's on a level we've never seen like the engagement level and it in positive and negative ways Um yeah, like my butt' are very intice U, guy I work with was sending me the u the like the Google trends or whatever, like the Google searches and Summer House was like this steady line. you know, it was like pretty good. Love Island like was like twenty times Smmerhouse. like Summer House was down here, which is pretty good and Love Island USA was way up here I believe that. I didn't know anyone else who watched Summer House besides me and my friend before like a few weeks ago Oh w, it's sos I know no. Oh no. I know. but I had one friend who caught up right before the scandal happened, so I feel like something in her new. So we've gotten to discuss it at length H I I mean, I wonder what those searches are also. like I'm looking up What vision scores mean this episode It's like okay It turns out Caleb was right twenty thirteen is a better vision than twenty twenty. twenty thirty I will say those conversations are like my favorite part of Love Island two is just the innocuous conversations or when they it was like two seasons ago, they were having a conversation like, what's your favorite movie? And it was like, Star Wars. And they're like no way, Star Wars. And I was like, Star Wars is a pretty that's a pretty big movie. I think that's, you know, I think everybody kind heard Yeah biggest biggest IP in the world But no way, that independent film Star Wars? Yeah We, uh Okay, let's see. we have this America's vote U We're picking who the bombshells are going with My issue with the vote is that They edit tells everyone who to put everyone with. Nothing surprised me in the results. Yeah because you only see people exploring the people they want you to vote them with And This leads to Is this the Beatrice? Yes, Bea gets dumped and the villa is devastated Well I mean, and I love that even Bo was just like, it's okay guys. I'm not dying. I'm still alive because they were like starting the ball and she was and I gott to say her on Aftersun. She was so cool. I loved her I don't know if you watch that too did not. Oh my Godd, it was so I watched maybe clips from it. Oh afterftersun was way better than it ever has been. Like it actually was really good because you support Sierra Oh yeah, but you got to see like you got to see Sean get his phone for the first time and Ba get her phone. I love when they give them the phones. And Sean like on camera found out about his job at the the mayor speaking out against him and it was like I was like, this is reality television. I love it That is One of my favorite storylines that has happened this season is the mayor coming for Seaan the Cop Sean gotpt to cool. Sean was like, Well, he's a pretty busy guy. I'm sure he's going through a lot. And like he was he was very classy about the whole situation. I'm not surprised. Yeah. I wonder if he will go back to being caught because he's now got like a million followers The first person dumped is getting like o w numbers. He has the biggest growth of any of the islanders as of two days ago That's that's impressive. He's got a kind smile. I can I see why Yeah. It's propaganda, the smile U we see then episode twelve, Anaya And Kasey, who you think are going to be our a couple there's trouble in paradise. Yeah, this is when they're starting to go sou I mean, Well, I mean, in your opinion, aren't we supposed to explore connections, right? Yes So, do you think Anya had a right to start getting really annoyed with KC I think unless you are closed off. All of these avenues should be explored, but there is definitely different styles that make people more or less okay with it For instance, Kenzie is doing a similar level of exploring a sincere, but she's not getting as much shit for it U and secretly hooking up W Kinsey was exploring so Kinsey Because tonight Kenzy wound back up with Corbin Corbin, but then she was partnered up through America with love with Caleb. Yeah God I'm just sorry. I'm just thinking of like way I don't know. Kinsey, Kinsey confuses me. She's a big question mark to me still Yeah, I had high hopes for her in the beginning and now I'm wondering, but if she and Corbin like I don't know if they can, but if they can hold on to themselves as a couple, I think they could be a power couple. There's no way you get a bombshell in there. Corbin will imm Corbin will get turned by anything. And then when you hit Casso more, all bets are off. Like Corbin is going to go crazy And I just I think a lot of the islanders are potentially bored right now. So they're thinking that I guess this is love. I guess I will, you know, Zach pretty much told Kata the other night before they had sex in the Hideaway that he was like, well, you know, I don't want to go too from with you like you was like I mean, kind of telling her that like, well, we're supposed to explore and who knows? And and then they almost forced them go to the hideaway to take it to the next level He said before they hooked up, if we hooked up, it'll be harder for me to go explore. He says it right after they hook up. I'm like they're g It's weird because I'm like, they're giving this man a villain edit Aren't we supposed be shipping the first people who go to the hideaway? I don't know. Well it just it felt like and then sent Brace in Trinity. What did they say like slap them cheeks in the hideaway? And I was just like, well, that reminds me of my first time. That's amazing, you know? it's such a romantic. I mean, they're improving upon last seasons Eat that k. But I don't know if it's it's hard to beat Eat that Kittdy I think Well then I got scared because Kata was like, oh my God, they have sex toys in the hideaway. And I was like I mean, it's just like handcuffs and like a spanking thing, but I got really scared for a second. and I was like, oh my God, there's like mechanical tools in the hideaway. Well they, you know, you can see more of the budget this season. like in the challenges, the two story challenge, there's a whole closet for the handcuffs this time. I was like maybe maybe they would do like a little Dungeon room. I dont No, I just don't I do not think I don't think Kenzie and Caleb will hang on at all Kenzay and Corbin. Corbyin, sorry. I still having a hard time. I still am voting for like digital name tags that follow these people around for three weeks Like they have the technology where it's just like a little tag and you just I do I want it on the Bachelor, I want it on all these shows. I think I would have gotten a lot more out of Real Houseyes of Rhode Island this first season if I had had that ' I I suppose the first few episodes trying to figure that out And then you feel like an idiot when you try to remember their name or you try to tell somebody about the show and then you keep like I feel like an idiot right now for know This were my job and I'm like, this person I think. The guy in the swimsuit. It's hard to say Episode twelve, we also get the seecret kiss between Kenzie and Corbyin in the bedroom Yeah U Yeah, Kinzy was Kinzsey was like, And she was like, donon't tell anybody. What if we don't tell anybody? And I like, what did he say? He was like I don't know, son. I don't know. likeike he's like, okay, whatever you think. Oh, he said u them repercussions I loveo that light. That's like Sh. That's like Shakespeare in love, my God. Yeah, 'use he also said he said, Yeah, let's not just tell everyone we kissed. Yeah, forget the re No he gu Yeah, forget the repercussions, bra. He said, bra. the repergressions brought. I mean Shakespeare couldn't I know, it's romantic too I Corbin has I didn't think he would be that strong a player the first episode he joined, but now I'm like Eased. Becoming a star I've beens becoming a star with like the, you know, like the Corbin GPT and remember when he came in the first night and every woman was like, oh my God, I've never seen a man this tall, this good looking. And that's what Melanie first offude like giveim me ten. Gim me ten Yeah. G me ten and that were ching. But then I feel like Corbin started to give a lot of people the ick like pretty immediately after that that first that first night. like he really impressed people. And then I feel like he got a little, I don't know, a little cringey A little bit. So now I just feel like hes his personality' coming out a little more, but I just couldn't get away from it like he just wanted to kiss everybody for a bit where I stop taking him seriously as a romantic pair of more Yeah. we we got a lot of cuts of him saying I'm six four as well U Do we know what he does as a girl Oh, I mean you' It's really nice you're assuming he has a job Well whatever they say is their job. I love, you know, the discourse always entertains me because I don't know if my I don't think my opinions always line up with what most people think or they'll be like, oh, I'm so annoyed Dumpt Melanie and I'm like, Melanie's your star. What are you talking about? Oh no, you need to keep Melanie is I you know, and I will say to credit credit Melanie after we came back from that, Gim mee ten, giveim me ten, I thought we were going to have a full blown explosion The next episode on Sunday night and she kind of She reined it in. everyvery time I think she's going to explode, she doesn't. And I truly thought the sincere going with Soul was going to be another huge explosion. And then we cut to tonight where it's kind of a natural progression of them coming back together I think she knows the level. She takes it to that edge Give me ten. I think is Look, who knows what's going to happen. But I think it will be one of the most iconic lines of the season. Did you see, did you hear that person that put a beat behind it? Like give me ten, giveive me ten. Guck ten it was I was like people these days are just brilliant. I love that. This is why I love TikTok. I'm like the mash upps of things like that and like the random as I get older, I just always say there's this great song LCD sound system Losing my Edge and it's like you know an older DJ that introduces it And he's like, you know, these kids they're coming up from behind, you know, it's like and they know every song by everybody and they're actually really, really nice. And that's the thing. I go on TikTok and I'm like, theseese kids are geniuses. They are geniuses I can't believe the things that I see on it. It's awesome And even like, I'm in a weird like The office or Taylor Swift mashed with like summer House or or whatever. and I I eat it up like, like, like. I can't get enough. We episode thirteen now. this was tonight's episode And we get This recoupling, all recouplings are boring to me. They're always slow. I always want to fast forward I wish I wish there was a consequence. I wish somebody was getting kicked off based on the recoupling tonight and not just what we ended up having. like I was therev was something that surprised me Exactly And I will say some there were so many not surprised like everybody paired up with who I thought they were going to pair up with tonight in the coupleples. I think part of the What I think in part contributed to everyone sticking so hard with their originals was that first recoupling herer first step for people was so intense that people really locked in And I don't know. I don't know what they need to do M cause I'm more earlier Well I mean, Casa is going to be Monday twenty second I know what we have so long before that I mean isn't isnt? Isn't that like ten days? Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Ss get ahead fifteen seconds. We're just gonna to go through the days real quick. Did you see that Fandango they're doing Casa more that first night in a movie theater Chad and I were like, how do we do that? How do we make this happen? They played Summer House the first part of the reunion at like an AMC theater and I was like, this is this is kind of what I want. I want to see like great reality television watchatch it with super fans. like I love that. This is our Rocky Horror picture show. I mean, I'm pretty sure it was bringing New York together This month I think it's the biggest thing bringing New York together Yeah, notot the week. Mainly summer house, Yeahah The who The connx ya U we Nothing really surprising. the Only The only surprises, I guess are kind of Kenzie going with Corbyin Sinincere finally choosing Melanie, but when Sinincere said the thing about Melanie like looking for Melanie when the couples walk down the stairs, I was like, oh, he's picking her Yeah. But I could see him changing his mind. Yeah, I mean, I feel like he will still make out with Soul at some point. I mean You know, How can he not? I was surprised The letter I liked the most was by Casey Tuanah I this was incredible. He gets very emotional, produces tears He kind of hints at a PTC of like Being a dark skinned black man and using humor as armor U I love this because it's you know, it's relatable in the larger sense and it's relatable for NIA in terms of like, the humor being a problem for her Um, I thought that this was incredible and this was my play of the wee Is there a sound effect or anything like that? Yeah. Do it We used to have a sound effect. I don't it. I don't want to actually have not positive. No I. This is great editing and all that too because they really tried to Even though I don't think we believe it, they try to make us really think that Casey might not choose Anya. Like Casey might have like, o, you know what? It's not going to work and I do want to explore and she's she's giving me a hard time about small things and I just don't know. But he went the other way and he really spoke from his heart in that letter Yeah, they kept showing him complaining about her calling her grandma, which I think that's going to come back to haunt him He might love his grandma a lot though. I also am shocked that you really, I will say, this is where I'm like, well, maybe Sincere is dumb because you really couldn't read anything on his face He didn't look U you know, when you're like, you know, you're going to hurt somebody's feelings and, you know, you're like, o, I don't want to do this. There was nothing It was just a blankness that I was like, o, interesting. It feels it doesn't seem like he's feeling anything I do think there is a lot of strategic editing on the faces and the facial reactions and they played those slow moo high def shots of them like looking to the side. Yeah over and over. I felt like I was going insane. Um And I would feel so sad if they made me a whole mailbox thing just to show me I have an an empty letter And I knew they would be empty the first ones that they went to too. I'm like, I also thought it was interesting that I was like, do these kids even know what the post office is? Like is that even do they know what mail is? likerowback? I mean, I hate physical mail as well. so I relate to these kids Yeah, no, it it seems a magical night. And then it was very interesting because then you had Sl and Caleb at the very end. and Ariana was like, if you want to see, if you'd like to make it work, you can. I had to do a season one rewatch of Smmer House after Scamanda happened That's so funny when' on season eight. When we brought our baby home, we did we started season one of Smmer House And because in person. Because when it was right around the Bachelorette getting pulled and it was right then when the West and Amanda rumors were like really in full they had not put out the statement yet, but the rumors started swing. and we were like, you know what? we were really enjoying that season regardless. And they were like, let's start from the beginning. and it was like, oh, wow, like Amanda Amanda was just like Kyle didn't even want to claim Amanda then And she was just kept coming to the suwhere else. You know, trying to hook up with Kyle to solidify her relationship. Yeah. I don't know any of these people, but it definitely seems to me like Amanda wanted to be on the show and kind of for relationship That's the great thing about like revisiting shows. like I't remember it that way. and now you go back and you're like, oh wow This is one. I did. I knew I found a text to my friend in twenty twenty that was like Amanda sucks. Oh, you're a soothayer. See, I really grew to appreciate Amanda and now that's completely gone. Well, there was like this Kelly Taylor girl and she like you had Luke Perry and Jason Priestlely both in love with her and they were like fighting over her. And then there was like an iconic episode where Kelly Taylor was like, I choose me And she didn't choose any of those. And during the season And it must have been like right like when West and Amanda were hooking up, I put that Kelly Taylor meme and I said, Sierra needs an I choose me moment because Jesie and West were both after her. And you know who the first person that liked that post was was Amanda Batula. And get this. Then when we posted our first photo of our child Within ten seconds, West and Amanda both liked it and commented in the first ten seconds. and now we realize they were together in bed probably looking at our baby's photo And they liked it at the same time Do you know that I know well, yeah, I mean, I cover a lot of the shows. I mean, I don't know them, know them, but they've been on the show and I've, you know, I've met them a bunch of times and stuff. Oh okay. I thought the emotional control when I know that there is There is somebody. I mean, I think she could really just break out and go crazy. and I think she's wring herself back in. and that's impressed me because I thought it was so I' like, o, this is going to really bust open. And I love when people surprise me because I've watched so much reality TV that my brain is broken. So I always think, o, that's what's going to happen. And I found it very refreshing that she went against that. Now, I still don't think sincere is worth a piss. L I do not think anybody should be fighting over this man. I don't think like Melanie should be sad, but if Melanie want sincere, you know, she's obviously going to have sincere now And Melanie was that for a second, she was like, well, and by the way, and I love that Melanie was like, it's not Soul's fault. I thought there was some real maturity there. who knows if half of that was playing the game and you know, half of that was real. But regardless, she have went a whole different route and she chose not to. I compleompletely agree with you. Mel was my MVP for this week as well I almost gave it to her last week It was last week for you. Last week I picked Kenzie And she's kind of faded to the background a little bit this week Was that in just terms of splits? or what did you give split was a big factor. I just I love that she was just getting in the mix She had some good colorful narration. She got the biggest Instagram game Um, So so you factor even the outside I mean, the outside to me is like, people rewarding her good play Yeah. or Ba said on Aftersun, she said, listen, I like all the girls there, but like at the same time, like I wanted to be friends with them so bad and she kind of made it seem like she was a little bit more on the outside with the girls that Kenzie was or Baya. The Baya. Baya was talking about this on Aftersun saying I wish I was more part of that girl group. Like she said she She really got along, I think with Trinity and Anah. But she said there was like a group of girls I think that included Kenzy and you know, she just could never fully click with. Not that they were jerks or anything to her, It just that she never felt fully. She said they're out there screaming, they're out there singing high school musical songs. I don't know a high school musical song. Yeah, me either Sure, sure H. Yeah, I I really liked Ba as a player. I was sad to see her go Um I'm kind of shocked to the producers like let that happen actually But yeah Um And yeah, I think it seemed like Trinity was the most sad about Be leaving Yeah. I mean, she was falling Yeah, I don't know. I'm curious because I do think that you need some love story that you're rooting for at least or you're like, I just really want this person to find love. donon't know. that we have either of those two things this season. but yeah, I mean, that's the thing. But I also feel like, you know, you can put all these elements together and then it just if it kind of If it just kind of catches hold and like something magical kind of happens and I just don't I don't see that but at the same time, I always leave lot of room for my age. Like I'd love to know what like eighteen year olds are they freaking out because I know this is so popular with the younger set. But you know, it's like I just feel like, oh I need something a little more like I need something a little like that even melts my cold black heart Hm. No. There's still plenty of weeks's They're still we got like four weeks. Al alsoso I also am like I feel like people at the beginning of every season Six and seven included are like, Oh I hate the cast. I blah, blah blah. And then by the end, it's like I don't know Well alsoly, Nicolandria now, you know, like that exploded in the last week and a half of that show Mhm Still together I mean, what I like is that it's I like that it's a mystery and I like that I see him do his DJ gigs and I see her modeling and doing like the Jose Cuervo ads. But at the same time, I like that I don't necessarily know. I like that like regardless, it's not shoved in my face. And I think everybody else now it's like the game of oversharing where I know everything about every celebrity. There's no mystery. I mean even Timothy Shalam, I'm watching playing Tonsal hockey with Kylie Jenner every game. I like I just I think there's something really nice about not knowing these days and that just doesn't seem to be the way pop culture is going I mean, shallay at least isn't I mean, is he making couple his content? Does he have an Instagram? Like He does think he he does have an Instagram. before they were starting to like take pictures together, they were on like the same like private millionaire island. and they were both posting separate photos from the island where it was just like, okay, you guys, I know you're there together, but like we're very close to an all denim on denim moment like Brittney and Justin Timberlake. Like we were very close with them Timothy was dressing at some of these NX games, I started to get really worried and The longer the Kicks were playing, like it seemed like the younger it was like Benjamin Button, like by that last game, he looked like a seven year old and he was like really baggy jeans. I mean it was like style. Oh, it was I mean, it was truly hysterical. It looked like They look like a little kid that won a contest by the end Oh my, I love Timothy Chhalom. Whenever we're talking about our dream bachelor, I always pitch him. And I think he's not gonna do it because of Kylie Jenner, etcetera. You think if he hadn't found Kylie he might' have done?
