Our opening clip was former Gaslight Nation guest Brad Lander and soon to be member of Congress for New York Tens District, My District had, the I pleasure of running into Brad at the Prospect Park So e, a fundraiser for our beloved Prospect Park on Saturday night. You may remember Bradlander from that viral clip where he was roughly grabbed and dragged out of court by ice . People learned about Bradlander being a regular at immigration court in New York City. This is something he would do quietly. He didn't make a big deal about it. He would just show up at court to make sure that immigrants facing the court knew their rights and he would help them secure legal representation. Again , he did not try to milk this for social media, but he just happened to go viral because ICE is the gestapo. When asked by the press following his big election night victory, his big win, Lander answered that he plans to be back in court to help immigrants to bring that same energy to Washington . And that is why I endorsed Brad Lander, number one for New York City mayor . And Lander joining forces with Mom Donnie is what helped get Mom Donnie over the finish line, defeating predator Andrew Cuomo not once, but twice . This election season in New York was also marked by a young woman in Syracuse, New York, Page Elin Gonaya, serving as a poll worker, a critical job that is increasingly under attacks thanks to Trump's big lie, and Maga openly harass ing polling stations and voters like the KKK had done for generations in the Jim Crow South. Page Lynn was visited during this election by ICE agents who served her a form letter that they tried to get her to sign accusing her of threatening federal agents . Her crime ? The truth, Pagelin simply stated a reported fact that Jonathan Ross is the federal agent who killed Renee Good . She posted that on her social media back in January and Ice agents came after her during this election. This was an intimidation against all of us for demanding that murderer , Jonathan Ross be sentenced to prison for his crime for killing Mother Renee Good in cold blood. This man should not be out there walking free. And just us pointing out that, hey, there's a murder on the loose, Jonathan Ross, somebody do something about it. They're trying to intimidate us into silence. So this was not just an attack on Paige Lind Gonyea , poll worker. This was an attack on all of us for simply demanding justice and that murderer Jonathan Ross gets locked up for the safety of all of us and for justice for Renee Good and her family and her children who lost a mother. Jonathan Ross, you belong in prison and we're not going to be silent until you are behind bars where you belong. And I want to also point out that what they did to Paige Lin Gunnnny Gaene was also an intimidation on all poll workers and all voters heading into the midterms, but again, we will not be silenced. Our voices will be heard, and we are going to bring our big rage wave into the polls this election season and do it again and again . We are going to orbit Trump. He is out. Maga is out and we are in and America is rebuilding from the ashes and I'm so excited for all the incredible organ izers and the new talent that is rising in this moment. All of you who are putting everything on the line to run for office, to help good people run for office . You are what give me hope , you are why we're ultimately going to prevail, not just here at home but globally because our work , our struggle together is solidified in our solidarity, it is global . So I want to also share that what's happening here in America where you have an Olympian who is stopping by the swamp , otherwise known as the Washington Monum monent Reflecting Pool . Yes, Trump who ran on draining the swamp has literally created a swamp with our tax dollars hiring a lineup of mobster looking pool cleaners to basically pump wasted taxpayer money this hideous algae filled reflecting pool. It's disgusting. And if you dare go up to it to poke it like some blob . If you dare do anything to this toxic mess that Trump created, literally creating a swamp because he's the swamp, he's the ultimate swamp monster. He always was of kleptocracy and corruption. Then, you know, you're going to get sentenced to fifty years. That's what they're doing. That's what they're hitting people with. They're doing the same to the anti Ice organizers, to the brave men and women trying to stop the inhumane ice concentration camps, separating families, doing God knows what to children led by a pedophile convicted felon who came to power for decades surrounded by circle pedophiles . fifty years . Those are the sentences they're hitting people with. That is the kind of intimidation tactic you see in Russia . As Gaslin Nation long warned Trump can't say anything bad about Putin because he wants to be Putin. He wants to turn America into a Russian style oligarchy , which is why we need a strong global opposition here at home who believes in true solidarity that our war against these tyrants is global because it is . Trump was propped up by Putin who also props up Hamas and is also allied with Netanyah . All lawless tyrants are on the same team. Even though Trump might be talking to Netanyahu and even yes, admitting that Zelensky's doing pretty good now s. out Turn he does have some cards , but the reality is that Trump is so mobbed up with BB . BB knows that he's ultimately safe with Trump. He's got plenty of he's got plenty of blackmail on him, especially where Epstein is concerned . Robert Maxwell , Gilane's father , the one who got his daughter, his favorite child together with Epstein after he died to ensure that his work would continue , right? He basically he made sure that was one of the last things he did before he was mysteriously bound dead off his boat. The lady Gilane likely murdered because he carried out a massive looting of his media company, stealing many millions of dollars of people's pensions and then gets a Mosad hero's funeral back in Israel featuring directors of Massad going back years . You don't get that kind of funeral unless you are deeply embedded with Masad . And what was Robert Maxwell's portfolio? The Soviet Union , where did a lot of those GRU agents come from when they were when they were setting up shop in Israel and the US when they were let out during the Jackson Barrick amendment, that well intentioned act by Congress to free Jewish people from religious persecution inside Soviet Union. Russia sent out a lot of GRU agents with those Jewish people that were fleeing , right? Those GRU agents set up shop in Israel . And that's where Maxwell was operating . And guess what ? When Robert Maxwell was active , guess who else was coming on the scene in a very big way and flirting with running for president while taking dirty Russian money with Russian oligarchs linked to the Kremlin buying up his properties in Trump tower in cash. Trump was already doing that when Robert Maxwell was active . When Gilaine Maxwell was coming up as a young socialite , one of the most popular women in her generation in the British elite . Robert Maxwell, Trump , the same transnational crime scene where you had all sorts of bad actors who were looking to make money anyway to be part of the super uber global rich, to live above the law, to operate in that shady realm where you had transnational mafia and intelligence agencies overlapping and using each other to further their shared aims of passing secrets, military secrets, nuclear secrets, and advancing power broking. That was the world that captivated Trump . That's why he would take trips to the Soviet Union . That's why he was flirting with running for president . He was developed as an asset as early as nineteen eighties. We know this. There's been reporting on it. Investigative journalist Craig Unger has said it here on this show and I'm pointing all of this out to remind everyone that the kleptocracy has taken root here in America did not happen overnight, and it's not going to get dismantled overnight . And while these progressive victories fill me with hope and there are going to be more to come it also is a wake up call for all of us to remind ourselves that our work is global. We can't just yes affordability here at home, yes he,alth care here at home, yes , putting all of the criminals behind bars, Jonathan Ross, Trump, Netanyahu, Putin, anybody breaking any laws, international law, put them behind bars . But what we have to really do now is also focus on standing strong in our words and our values . So that is why I want to give a big shout out to Brad Lander, a strong progressive who support s Ukraine. When Russia launched its full scale invasion of Ukraine , Bradlander as New York's controller, immediately pulled money out of any funds linked to Russia. Bradlander is a real one who, is not brain rotted by disinformation that turns some leftists into horseshoe theory . That theory where the far right and the far left both become so extreme they meet in the middle like a horseshoe. That brings me to Darieliza Avia Chevalier who just won in the Bronx, defeating a powerful five time congressman, Adrian Espayad, who was APAC candidate . So if there's any big takeaway from Tuesday night, it's a wake up call for Democrats who continue to take APAC money when Netanyahu and his government have blatantly violated international law. And what's more, Netanyahu was found to finance Hamas in the lead up to october seventh to sideline credible Palestinian leadership at any chance for two state solution . We did a whole episode on this featuring two investigative filmmakers Alex Gibney and Alexis Bloom. Their film is called The Beebe Files. It is based on extraordinary leaked footage of Israeli prosecutors interviewing a defiant Netanyahu and his equally corrupt wife Sarah and their inner circle. It lays out their massive blatant , brazen, unapologetic corruption. That documentary, the BB Files also shows how Netanyahu and his government ignored warnings that Hamas was about to carry out a terror attack. Why? Because Netanyahu needed a forever war to stay in power and avoid a corruption investigation that threatens to send him and his wife to prison . Anyone taking APAC money is fine with this , which is why if you're looking for any big blazing sign from Tuesday's election, American voters want real law and order . They want Trump and Netanyahu held accountable. They want an end to the lawlessness and the lack of moral consistency that is turning America into a kleptocracy . Trump and his goon squad . want to brag about how much they're stealing from us and how much they're enriching themselves . They don't mind that you know about their many scandals . What they fear more than anything are consequences . And when you have Trump back in power after his obscene lawlessness , violently trying to overthrow our democracy before the eyes of the world on january six th, being held legally liable for rape and defamation in the Egene Carroll case , right? Being busted as a corrupt as a convicted felon and a hit with rico charges and leading this conspiracy of other criminals and trying to tip the vote in the state of Georgia, Nevada and so on . He does all of these crimes out in the open, and he's back in power as President of the United States mass purging our government through dos . This is an indictment on the Democratic Party establishment. It's a wake up call to Democrats. It's an indictment of Merrick Garland as we're screaming on Gaslight Nation. We're like, where is Merrick Garland? You cannot have a sleepy attorney general when you have a looting spree going on in this country. Voters want a fighter. That's what this comes down to. Voters want a fighter. They want a fighter. They want someone who's going to fight for them and their families and offend them. They want that defiant spirit. And we just did not have it in the Biden years. Mayor Garland coming in as attorney general and doing nothing for two years. We watched that with our eyes and ears. Nobody can try to convince us that Mary Garland was fighting for the American people . No one. He wasn't . He waited two years to appoint Jack Smith . And then on the one year anniversary of the january sixth coup, he comes out and gives a speech and both sides the coup, saying that he was going to come after political violence on both sides. We did an episode on it called Merrick Garland Bow Sides a coup, the big takeaway of this election, of Mayor Mamdani with his clean sweep endorsing three Congressional candidates for office and all three win. The big takeaway is Americans want to fighter . Americans want to put this kleptocratic genie back in the box . They want to stand up to law lessness here at home and abroad. They want a fighter. It's over now. We can't do business as usual . And every single Democrat who is serious about democracy needs to say no to APAC. It is a losing deal. You cannot be anti Trump and then support Netanyahu and what he's doing by taking APAC money . And I also want to point out to the progressives out there like Mom Donnie's candidate , Deraliza Avia Chevalier in the Bronx who just won her big upset coming from being an organizer . She was in the trenches organizing the Columbia University protests that Trump turned into a political football . She got called out by a New York Post reporter . Darieliza, can you respond to past comments that you said the U. S. was a full fucking disgrace and you also you said the US bullied Russia political reported that this morning. Would you like to clarify those comments? I'm not sure where the context of those comments were coming from. Your tweets from twenty twenty two. I do not remember what the context of those tweets in twenty twenty two were. Did I read the tweets that polit ics again. And, this is the New York Post, of course the government going to go after you if you're running for Congress. What's really shocking is that she didn't have anything good to say in response to them, but she got called out for a tweet that she wrote in twenty twenty two response to Russia's full scale invasion of Ukraine , where she blamed the US for bullying Russia . She has since deleted that tweet . Now you're running to be a member of Congress, you're going to make decisions on aid for Ukraine and no one on your team had a response for you . It's obvious that you wrote this tweet. It's since gone viral in a big political story that cherry picking all of your deleted tweets over the years that are saved . And you don't have a meaningful response to this . You could have said something like, Yes, I wrote that then. I've met with stakeholders on this issue and I understand now that Russia has a long history of violent colonization . And I'm against that. And I Ukraine Ukraine is upholding international law. It's fighting for all of us . There needs to be solidarity standing up to Netanyahu and his mass murdering rul ing coalition of terrorists like Ben Gaveer and Smootrech and others for violating blatantly international law, the International Criminal Court has a warrant for the arrest of Netanyahu. There is countries he cannot go to because they promise to arrest him . You should say the same for Putin when it comes to Ukraine . Now Zelenskyy has not been perfect on Ukraine, Zelenskyy has had a couple of his inner circle friends that were busted by Ukraine's brave and tenacious civil society for corruption , suddenly flee to Israel where they're wanted for corruption charges back home in Ukraine, Zelensky hasn't been perfect on Israel , but he has ensured that his government sent grain to Palestinians when Israel was leading an embargo and trying to openly starve them to death in what was yet another war crime, along with collective punishment for january seventh . And what all progress ives who are part of this growing movement to re make the Democratic Party so that it's APAC free , you are moving morally in the right direction. You are upholding international law and being morally consistent by doing that. But you need to include Netanyahu's buddy. Netanyahu ran for office with a giant billboard of Putin shaking hands. Russia is one of the most widely spoken languages in Israel . When Zelenskyy, the first Jewish president of Ukraine , the only Jewish president outside Israel asked Netanyahu's government if he could give a statement inside Israel in front of a Holocaust museum to draw attention to Russia's genocide in Ukraine . The Israelis said no . When Zelensky asked for iron dome technology so that he could protect civilians in Ukraine from Russia's daily reign of missiles and drones , the Israel is said no . So please consider Ukraine. Ukraine has had, I know there's a lot of support that Ukraine has gotten from Europe, has gotten in the US from the past, but Ukraine has had to fight for that support. Ukraine has had to build its own grassroots power of young volunteers, Ukrainian kids , teenagers in their twenties whose parents are at the front , who if they go back , they serve in the front, these kids for the ten years of this war have had to go door to door in the capital saying, please, please, please get Ukraine what it needs. We cannot win this war without you. So don't act like Ukraine is some military industrial complex bad guy out there to suck up all of our taxpayer funding and that's why we don't have healthcare. That's why we don't have well funded public schools. That's not Ukraine's fault. That is the fault of lawmakers. Ukraine is not to blame for that. We can have strong social services here at home. We can fund our libraries , we can fund our schools. We can have universal healthcare. We can take on corporate greed. We can tax the rich. We can do all those things and also Ukraine and it's existent ial battle against a centuries long genocide carried out by Russia . Russia needs Ukraine as its jewel in its empire. That's always been the policy of the Kremlin. Always this war goes back centuries. There's been leading Russian thinkers from Pushkin to Scholzenitsin who've said that Ukraine doesn't exist or Ukraine is little Russia and twisting the whole history and try to ignore the fact that Ukraine was established first and was and is centuries older than Moscow . And so please understand that this is a genocidal war that goes back centuries and it wasn't the US and NATO, the existence of NATO to blame for this war . Russia led a suicidal self destructive , full scale invasion of Ukraine because the West gave it the green light by accepting Russian corruption. So I guess if you do want to blame the West, that's the way to do it. Too many capitals from London, New York , LA accepted dirty Russian money, buying up their real estate , Russian oligarchs names on museums and research institutes and leading universities in the West , the easy, dirty Russian oligarch fire hose of money being poured in across the West. Putin thought he had successfully purchased the West , had the West in the palm of his hand and that he could continue to get away with invading his neighbors . It started with leveling Chechnya . Then he invaded Georgia , a country where he has meddled in that election. So now there's a ruling pro Russian oligarchy that has captured Georgia . And Syria, what he did to Syria , and now Ukraine . And during that rise of all of that imperial aggression , he just kept throwing money money all across the West through Putin's wallets, otherwise known as his oligarch s, and the West looked the other way, did slap on the wrist sanctions . That is really how to blame the West or Russia's invasion of Ukraine, not simply for the West existing or NATO existing, NATO exists and was launched in response to At the time, the greatest fear of NATO's founders wasn't a direct attack by the Soviet Union It was what Canadian historian Timothy Andrews Sale calls the weakness of democracy .
