Jim, Johnny and Ellen were trying to correctly distinguish breeds of cat from a cat's mortal enemy Dogs. As we're now playing with just Jim and Johnny, I have another list of cats and dogs for you to identify. You'll have half the questions, so you've got half the lives. So if you lose a sixth life, then I'm afraid your prospects of winning the quiz are playing with a great ball of yarn in the sky Let's play nine Lives. They tear the lawn up. Daxshund's translates as badger hound because they're used to get badgers because they can get down into the sets. Oh that is interesting. Next up is Jim. quiz I asked Johnny, John, and Ellen two questions at a time, one sciencecy and one pop cultury, and then asked them to mash their answers together to create a new species of animal. Now, before I landed on the baboonery, I was going to ask questions where smashing two animals together creates a third animal actually a real animal. So for example, if the answers were fire ant and butterfly, the smash would be Firefly. Very nice. A different real animal. So that would have been the tie brereak if there'd have been a draw. We didn't actually have a draw in the podellll and decided to end hers on a drawer, which I really enjoyed and the spreadsheet is getting updated as we speak With a new column. So the tiebreak would have been the first to come up with two animals to create a third real one. So I came up with five examples of this. One I already gave, the firefly made from the fire ant and the butterfly. See if you two can think of any by the end of my bonus questions. So keep that one going on while we're going to be playing. Have a think about it at home as well You got a couple of minutes to have a think see if you can create a real animal from two other animals. So I do have two questions that I cut from the show which I'll get to in a sec. but while you guys think of your other real animal animashes, I'm going to explain how I came up with them. And I literally just wrote names of animals that I found funny. That was it? Just an animal that had quite a unique way of saying it and so ones that when I could togetherher it would create something silly. So I've got my list of animals that I find quite funny. Tell me if you guys agree at home and tell me if there's any that I've missed off the list. So ones that I didn't use, Tasmanian Devil, Wetzel, Dingo, Gecko, Chinchilla, Axolotl, Hippopotamus, Caapibara, Kakapo, which is why I said Kakapo a lot in the quiz 'cause I'd written it down earlier on. did say Cakapo Kangaroo, wombat, which also cropped up in the quiz a lot. Hyena, reindeer, Lynx which didn't get to use. You had the chance. You didn't do it. Barracuda and guinea pig. There you go. That's just a little insight into how I wrote the quiz. I also had all the animals that I wrote the questions on and then I just mashed them all together and wrote two questions based on that,ly So I've got two questions that didn't make the show. Panthera Okca is the name of which opportunistic predator that eats more than eighty five different species of animals. Their call resembles a saw, sawing wood. That's the first one, which. You guys did struggle with the first half of the question You did get a couple, right? You did quite well That was mainly in there for Ellen. See what you come up with this time. And the second one, which city in New York state is home to the Bills NFL team?. something bills. Yeah. Okay, Johnny, what is your animash? I've gone for a H flow. H flow is in a hyena and a buffalo? Correct. John, what have you gone for I've gone for a wolfalo. Oh as in a wolf and a buffalo. Well, you're both correct with buuffalo. Yes, they are the Buffalo bills, the NFL team. Now either of you got the opportunistic predator, I'm afraid. What was it? The correct Annimash is a jagualo Sh is in a jaguar. So yeah, Jacquua. It's really interesting, actually I did listen to their call after I read that it was like a saw sawing wood. I was like, I need to listen to what this is and it's brilliant. I don't have a clip like Ellen did, but please do go and listen to it. So you say that they're a scavenger? They're an opportunistic predator. Oh opportunistic. So they'll just eat whatever's there. Bine I originally wrote down vulture for that exact same reason. I couldn't get that to work with buffalo so I gave up on it. I wrote vulture too. Yeah, I just included words that would mean something to someone who knows what they're talking about. So I presume that's what that means. Please do correct me in the comments. And there's just one more question that didn't make it. Which animal includes the genus Mustella in the family Mustellidae with species such as Mustellaivalis, the smallest carnivoran in the world. Carnivoran? Carnivoran. Carnivoran. The smallest carnivoran in the world. Yeah. That's the first and the second one in the film Elf, which is slowly becoming a friend of the pod. Yeah. But the animal, the smallest carnivoran, Mella is a weasel. Oh! That's the smallest carnivorine, which is an animal that eats meat, I presume. I haven't looked into it further. It must that would make sense. A carnivore. So the least weasel. What are we after, James? So you're after Wewall Lovely, lovely. O we were That's the sound police cars make. Okay, now circling back to the question I set you at the start, two animals that when smashed together create a third real one. I said I came up with five. I've already given you the firefly. Did you get any? We could turn it into a little game as well. I've got four here, so if you get any of these, I'll give you some points, even though we don't play for points and here's what you miss Let's say I do, Johnny. I've got two. Number one, part one, Wh turtle is known? Oh, you're asking questions. I just wanted the animals. Oh wow. I mean, I'm just gonna give you the animals so it's my turn. Well, this is fantastic. Which I mean, I've just coming up on the spot. so don't come for me. Which turtle is known for its distinctive purple bandana Buaff. That's not animal. And question two, what sort of animal is Ross's pet in friends The problem is, Johnny The first one you've given isn't a real animal, it's the name of someone. I need you to mashem together and give me an animal. Well yeah, but that's not the game. Beuse there be two real animals you can do it too. It's the game I'm playing. It's the game I've played. So Donatello and Mkey gives you Donkey. Yay Well done, James. But you could have just done any animal that begins with a DO, like dolphin. You could have just gone dolphin and mononkey for donkey. Oh, I thought we were doing the end of one word and the start of another. That's what I've done. Well that is what we're doing John. That's al right, then. Johnny's just chosen a cartoon character for reasons unbeknownst to anyone. He's used the beginning of Donatello I've done it a different way and I've clearly forgotten that to play the game. How have you both managed to get this wrong? John, what have you done? Give us yours? I've used the letters in the middle to create a new animal. So I've gone for mouse and then alpaca because the S and the and the mouse and the A and the L make seal. But that's not what we're supposed to be doing. That isn't what we're doing at all! That's worse than mine you Jing? I was doing something completely different. It was a simple instruction. Who's ready for question two Dolphin a monkey is donkey. That is one that I'd written down. So you were nearly there, Johnny. Or Donatello a monkey? Well no 'cause that's not an animal. It's a turtle Oh I'd dread to think what question two it is, Johnny. Question two. Which bird steals your chips? The seagull? Allright, don't give the answers away. John might not know that one. And in Father Ted, they famously sung about My lovely what? I don't know that one. Something lion My lovely horse. So a seahorse. He. Oh I see. Oh that kind of works, yes. Well, we got there eventually. Well I didn't I didn't get anywhere near eventually.
