Apple's got to figure that out Okay, whatever Let's get into the podcast. I I mean, today's guess I adore one of I mean, I can't say enough. It's Vanessa Bayer, Vanessa, welcome. I said no. Thank you so much for having me. I'm so happy to have you here Curious, something I just want to ask you right off the top, what's your current relationship with Wayo I love it You're a real evangelist, I feel like. I've only been in one so far and it was with you and you made a very good pitch for it Yes. what was my pitch? Was it? Well, I'll give you my pitch. Okay, yeah, that's let's see, my most recent pitch would be Um It's So nice It's you can do whatever you want in there. you can Say anything because no one's listening to you. And then also, sometimes If you take another rides share You never know if the driver is gonna be A good at driving, but even worse, have a bad personality. Frequently both. Frequently both. and especially for women, we get in those cars, we don't know if there's gonna be a creep up there. Right. Yeah, guuess who's not a creep Nobody robots. A robot? And you're not worried about being recorded No, I mean, You know, we're always being recorded. Yeah, that's true. true. Why more there than anywhere else. And this one feels more like at least you would be qualify for like a lawsuit. Totally. If it was exposed, you could blast them. Actually, I just spoke to someone who was saying that they had like all this stuff to do and then they had a therapy appintment and they had to be like across town like and h And they were like, oh, I'm just going to do my therapy from the wayaymo Interesting. And they had like an hour long ride in the Wmo where they did their therapy Right remotely, you know, and obviously and They said it was like Incredible. That sounds kind of lovely. So nice, right? Yeah, I have no interest in Zoom therapy, but in that situation, I think it'd be different. I wouldn't be home Right, right, right, right. I mean, I think part of it is like' Jim listening through the door. We're in an unhealthy relationship. obvious. C it C it. No, but I think driving around talking to your therapist might be kind of an nice. And by the way, you're also goingoing from A to B, from place A to B, you're getting so much done at once. Right, right. And you've been doing it for a while now. Have you ever felt in danger Um, not really Sometimes when it has to make a hard leftft, like a difficult leftft, I'm like, U, But it has so many cameras and guess who doesn't have so many cameras? M any of the drivers of Rideshaare. Did you take Wo here No.. Oh, I should have We should be clear. Well as far as I know, Vanessa's not being paid by my mom. It's just a pure I'm not passion for the service. And I'm not saying that I'm like I'm not like Oh, AI should replace us. Okaykay? I very hard against. Right, right But I'm like, But should they drive us? This one This is one where I kind of agree with you. Yeah. because I don't know you are as a driver, but I' Atrocious. Oh, same trust way more than me driving. Absolutely. And and again, it's just like you just never knows. There's been so many reports on the rides shares having like awful things happen with these dri these drivers being terrible and just Anyway, so it's just like so nice to be like I'm just I'm chill. And actually when you get in, here's another plug They play sort of futuristic music, which you can change. You can change you can even put like stuff from your phone on if you want. Right But I like the futuristic music because I like to go, I'm getting in this way M, I'm in space Yeah, I think I would feel like I had like messed up the experience if I was playing my regular music. Right. Yeah. Let it be ethereal. Yeah, treat it more like an elevator Yeah. It feels kind of like an elevator Yeah. It does, except I honestly feel more safe in Oo than in an elevator. Elevators are extremely dangerous. Elevators so often I go, do I have a phobia of elevators? I think if you think about it too much, you will get You will. ye. I know someone who has a strong phobia and you know, when you're with her, you're just taking the stairs. But like if you do any type of looking into what happens with elevators And elevator maintenance. you're like, Oh, hate this. I'm gonna get cut in half A, decapitated, something's going to happen in an elevator. But I want to say that for the most part it won't Probably true. But you have to look at those certificates. Yeah, right. See when like it was last checked. See when it was last checked. I forgot they had those in there. Yeah, they have to have those certificates. They should have ratings like restaurants. Yes. They get one that has a de. These certificates are kind of hard to read. There's a lot of cursive on there. They're kind of fancy. They look too ceremonial It's like they won an award or something. Yeah yeah. It makes them almost look antiquated. Like they look old because they've got so much Like flowery letters. Yeah. Like they were part of like a ribon cutting ceremony or something. I want it to look like, you know, just like This was this cable was checked last month. The door was checked last month. Yeah No, it looks like they won small business awardact from the city. No, that's very scary. This is the other thing about Wayo, I want to ask you. The one reason I do like to drive And I wouldn't do in ao as I get to listen to music And I can focus more because I can't look at my phone as much. Right. So those are the two things that are kind of Like I would I don't know if maybe A Wayo could like handcuff you. Right. Well, you know what, you've got to get, I'm going to promote something else I'm not getting paid to promote Is a brick? ye They're everywhere I am obsessed with my brick. How are you using it? Here's what I do. At ten o'clock every night, it turns off Instagram. Okay That's the only app I have linked to it. You can go so far as to like link your i message to it so that you're not even getting texts F a tough one. It seems tough in case there's an emergency or something or you have to something S a text. But but It turns it off at ten PM. and the thing that's great about that is I can't look at Instagram before I go to sleep and I can't look at it in the morning because I have to physically walk over to my refrigerator and unbrick my h. Oh Yeah So And sometimes I'll forget to do it for days. likeike go I'll be off of it for days. That's so helpalthy So great because you sort of and then it becomes this thing where Now I will say, it becomes this thing where I now when I go on Instagram, I'm so impressed by it.' dazzled? I'm dazzled. I'm like First of all, everybody is so funny. Like people are making jokes. They're so funny. And second of all, I'm like, how do you like I get very targeted by cottage cheese recipes. like should we following up, let's follow up a. But then But then yeah, I won't go on for days and it's great So okay, this is that's how the Instagram experience should be. That feels like agree. L when you would get on one of these services and be like, I'm having fun. Exactly. It's fun. And like once in a while, someone will tag me in something and it will be a story and I won't ever get to see it. Oh sure. But it's like it's worth sorry to brag, but it's worth like missing a couple of those to just have your life back I disagree. Because sometimes I do a thing where I would be like, I'm gonna go off, I'm not checking Instagram for the rest of the night. And then I would like, without even thinking about it, go on to Instagram. Of course. And I'm like, what is wrong with me? I f I have like a thing I need to do. Yeah. And then sudenly I' on Inagram and I have forgotten whatever I was supposed to do. It's so distracting. So poisonous. Yeah. Okay, so now I'm curious you're getting cottage cheese recipes. Okay. so off a little the protein thing in terms of like being person who iss like I'm obsessed with praching. But I do love cottage Gese. and it does and something that I've learned from this whole protein maxing movement is that you can blend it add it into stuff to make it have more Or not blend it. Like you can put it in your eggs and then like scramble eggs Frequently. So smart. It's a great. It's a great thing You can do with Greek yogurt. Gs better It's like adding cheese to something. you're adding dairy, that's delicious. Right. You're adding it to Greek yogurt. You can put Greek yogurt in your eggs. Oh, okay. I was say, whyy are you adding to I feel like I've had recipes before that've had both in them and it's a lot. It feels like a lot. Pick one Okay, so what is There's like desserts you can make and stuff with it too. Really? like what? Like I feel like you can mix it with like peut They're all sort of the same. They're all like peanut butter chocolate, a little almond flour. L you know what I'm saying? And then you just make a little ball or something like that or you can make bark Oh, like You can make a barg out of Are you like baking the cream che or the cottage che? You're just Barks are more U peeanut butter Git I don't know. I bet that's a frozen. I think it's a frozen thing. Yeah, I can't imagine putting no. cottage cheese in the oven. No, you although people do it. They do. Well, you do it when you make scrambled eggs you sort of Oh yeah cooking. Yeah I wonder what's happening when it's the oven though and it's like three hundred and fifty degrees. If you are eating cottage cheese plain, what are you doing? I usually will eat it with a toast or a cracker That's so good. Can I tell you another hack? Yeah, I would love. This is an extremely pro cottage cheese podcast. I love I'm so thrilled about that becauseuse I love cottage cheese. This's like the first guest that has an attacked. When people don't like cottage cheese, I go, try it again. Yeah, when was the last time you tried it? Yeah. Try it in a new form. Well because some people like sweet sweet version, some people like savory. I will go for either. But let me tell you if you bake a sweet potato and you top a sweet potato with cottage cheese and then put some pepper on that. It is I I wantan to eat that right now. Sounds incredible. Excuse me, I need to go eat it, just kidding Yeah, that's like I uh Putting a sweet element with it concerns me Yeah, I hear you. But a sweet potato, I think is like not It's like a different type of sweet. But I know someone who puts it on toast with blueberry jam. Okay. And it's pretty good. I think I'm willing to try it. I would say just try it. I love cottage cheese so much. It's so good. I think it's really one of the best foods. Now, is there a brand? I'm curious. I bet we both like the same brand do you want to say it down three? I bet you have a better brand than me. Oh, interesting. I'm getting Tader Joe's And there's a brand I hate. Bridger. What's the brand you hate I think it's is it Nudson's K NUD SEN? Bridger, you're like in the pits of cottage cheese. I don't even look at that. Okay Not to be a snob, but I really need you to up your cottage cheese. What are you eating? Good culture. C Oh, sure, sure. I'm telling you Trader Joe's is a good cottage cheese, but you have to get full fat. That's the other thing people don't realize' This is the thing that is makes my brain break. What It seems like with cottage cheese And with yogurt. The lower the fat the higher the protein Really Yes, we can look it up Yeah, so messed up That's very odd. It's great for a person. Right If you have two percent cottage che, I know for a fact that if you have two percent Greek yogurt. Okay att least the brand that I use faya. Okay Faya. Yeah of course, that's why you gott to get faya. It has more protein in it than the five percent and the zero percent fat has more protein than the two percent. Really? Isn't that crazy? Can confirm Now what about what about the cottage cheese? I think the cottage cheese a good culture cottage cheese. I think the fourour percent whole milk one has less protein than the two percent U let me just double check. G gototta get the fat. So this is something I'm actually concerned about. I know, I know because you feel like like you always go like, I'm gonna get the full fat because it's like better for me. Actually like you guys who are like low fat, you're idiots. You know what I mean? But that's look down ees. flavor. Wit, okay. cted cheese the inver It's the invert. Full fat, four percent, eleven to twelve grams of protein non fat seven to ten grams of protein per serving So there you go. interestnteresting. I want you to check again because what? Be I bu the single serving ones and I feel like the full fat one per serving is like eighteen grams Here's the twist. low fat one to two percent twelve to fourteen grams of protein. I it depends what brand. It must be brand. It must be brand or curd size. Something Yeah, that's very confusing. Well, and this is what I'll say dairy wise with protein. U milk, if you get like no fat or whole milk I think no fat has a little less. Yeah, that makes sense. Which is why it doesn't make sense that Greek yogurt, the highest fat, is the lowest protein Should we talk about this for another show just so you can lose all your listeners U I need to try the good culture you get a single serike it's like Well, I sometimes I buy the bigger servings but sometimes I make something that is so good, Bridger. I'm going to send you with And you know what? I haven't made it in a while. and I'm like, what the hell am I doing I make these protein pancakes I'm gonna send you the recipe. I'm actually kind of surprised I haven't sent it to because I'm having like a little bit of deja voo. I feel I haven't sent this to. Basically, I haven't made it in a while and I'm like pissed at myself that I haven't made it. like maybe I'll make it later today. Okay It's cotted cheese Um It's That's. You dump it in a pan. It's cottage cheese, what else is in it. It's like I have to tell you what's in it because it is so I'm just gonna to go. It is like honestly Okay, hereere's what's in it This is for two serving. Okay, which is like what two pancakes? Yeah, except I have the I haveal it. Right. I'm having all my recipes. Okay, so it's oats, cottage cheese, egg. syrup, which I omit. Okay, I wouldn't put that in either. Baking powder, vanilla, extract, and cinnamon. And I put collagen powder in it too. make it higher in protein. Right, right. And when I and here's how I make it. This is wild and I hope your listeners aren't pn out of their minds, but No, they've earned this by attacking me. Yeah, they've attacked you. So this is what they get I make it in my air fryer Whoa. So that because I'm like then I'm gonna like put the oil on, I'm gonna mess it up. I'm gonna clean. I making it I get for my air fryer, do you know you can get these parchment paper liners? Right. ye, of course. So I get a c so I get a parchment paper liner. I just pour all the batter into there. Okay. And there's like I figured out a certain it's like I think I bake it at three hundred sixty for fourteen minutes. Okay. But I don't preheat it Oh, interesting because some they say with some Um sort of like type things, it's good for them to like gradually heat up. Right. Like it they don't they don't need to like go into a hot.t it doesn't totally make sense. but the point is I don't preheat it. Okay because you almost It would be hard to preheat it with the liner and with all this stuff going on. Right, right And it is so good. And then does is the pancake square It's the size of my liners or circle. But it's the size of whate Oh, and then I put like blueberries or something on it to The very last step is I pour the batter in and then I put like whatever kind of fruit I want to put on there. You know what is so good on there is It's a kind of fruit that the name of it, I can't remember, but I slicice. I start naming fruits. Okay, It's a small fruit that it's sort of like a fruit that you're like, o, I didn't know about this fruit as a kid. Let's see. what fruits It's like almost like a stone fruit. Oh's. But it's like when you're like, how did I not know these existed when I was a kid almost look like tomatoes Oh, what are those things? Yeah, those what is that? those Do do you know what I important? Did you also No idea when you were an adult? Yeah, of course, I thought those were just tomatoes. What are those, Alllice? That's like a specific type of thing Yes, yes Persimmons are so good on it. On a pancake. Because they kind of brown in the air fryer. Right, like caramize Yeah. Oh, and you've sliced them? I don't even know how you prepare a Persimmon? Because they're so new to us. I know would I didn't our parents prepare us first persersimmons. They should have been making this every morning. I know, I'm like, didid I have them as a kid and just think that what would I have thought they were? I don't think we could have possibly, I don't think they hit store shelves until the early thousands. Yeah, they arere they a new fruit? I think it's a new fruit. Can we look up if Persimmons were just invented in the last twenty years No, we don't have to look that up. I'm sure they've been around, but it's It's like, here's the other thing. Wh whereere are you from again?' from Utah Brider, So I feel like I know the answer to this question without even asking you. And of course you're from Utah, I can't believe I forgot that Bea you know I'm from Cleveland. Of course to show off, but I know. How old and when and where were you when you discovered Burrata? Oh my Godd. I was No I must have been in LA I was in New York. Yeah, it was either L.A. or Newk Certainly I was not eating it in Salt Lake. I wasn't eating it even when I lived in Chicago. I didn't know it. It's just on the coast. No, it's now it's made its way into the rest the country. I was like, what the hell is this? It's incredible. You know what? I remember my parents were visiting me other My brother Joh and I were both living in New York at the time, and we went out to dinner with our parents we were visiting And I think And I apologize if this isn't true, but I think my parents didn't know what purrato was. Maybe Why would they know? Is It's very Italian It's very Italian. What is like? I'm like, is there something in Italy now that like We don't know about yet.' interesting in cheese that has just been like commonplace for years and we're just waiting for it to come here. Yeah, or or like another food thing. Right. I'm sure there is, right? There must ten years we're going to feel like such fools. Because we didn't have like moochi when we were little. Oh no, that's that's certainly like That'sade now talking about Trad Joe's. Oh yeah, that's a good one. They bastardized it In the last probably fifteen years, that's mainstream American thought. Oh yeah. But I wouldn't have been able to tell you what it was prior to that. Yeah. Yeah. And it's a wonderful thing. So good. But who's it's just like who's in charge of like allowing us like parsing out the new foods to America? I just like I'm like, did anyone know what Burrato was in eighties. I was I'm sure just in the US. Upper crust. Did they even? But I think in the eighties people were like, sushi's crazy Right You're right. That was like this wild idea. That was so crazy. Yeah. I remember when they started selling Sushi at Hein's our grocery store, It was like Okay, I guess our grocery store is now the fanciest place on Earth Yeah, so there's probably something I wonder what we're dealing with. What food are we eating right now? That's like just outside of the boundaries of Yeah When I was in New York recently, I had you know, New York goes through dessert trends. Oh yeah, they really go. good bakeries. Yeah Yeah. betterter than I like. And so because they because remember that the Kronut came from of New York, which I don't feel has like Take it over in any way. I'm kind of happy it hasn't. I am too. I don't I like those to be separate. You know what else I had was the what did you think of that? First of all, it's tough because cookie and croissant have such completely different. Oh Oh, I was gonna say it's like people just think you're saying cookie wrong. Oh, I was gonna say texture wiseot texture. Texture wise totally different. but name wise, they're so close, it just makes you sound like an idiotike you're having a problem You're like, o, I just tried a crookie and people are like, Vanessa, are you okay? There's such there. Because they start with the same letter, it's unfortunate. Right. But yeah, the ckie It was I'm sure. I mean, pretty delicious but it's like A what point are we just like comombining baked goods and being like, I guess if you stack them on top of each other, they're good. Yeah, of course they're good. Yeah a good croissant is good, a good cookie is good. Why can't I just have those be separate? I don't need it to be like together a dare or some sort of Yeah. some kind of challenge. Challenge. It makes no sense to me. I had um When I was there recently with my best friend, Gwen and our friend Kate Mcuchci, who I'm sure you know We tried the butter dipped ice cream. Oh, how was that? This is another one on Mike That one, it alm says the opposite problem of the croookkie in that the names are really different, ice cream and butter although no one has tried to combine them Namewine. Yeah Here's the problem. If you dip vanilla ice cream in butter. It's not like a magic shell, like a ch where it can be super thin. for it to like freeze, the butter layer has to be more thick than you would expect. Okaykay Then they do put salt on top, which is like flaky salt, which is adds to which probably necessary. Necessary. difference in flavor between butter and vanilla ice cream, especially I would say vanilla ice cream is like Not that much. Right, It's like ten degrees. It's just like sweet butter. Exactly So you sort of go What the hell am I eating Like all three of us had to take some of the butter off because at a certain point You're just eating butter. It's too much. And then like with the vanilla ice cream, you're like I just there's not enough contrast. I just don't I just feel like I'm eating Almost all C that butter. Yeah Yeah, I think like kind of chocolate or Yeah, I'm surprised they do it with vanilla on. a pistachio might work. Yeah, a pistachio might be good. I don't know. It's a tough It's a tough, I'm glad we tried it. and I don't think we need to try it again I wonder if this is one of those things though, maybe like in ten years. Yeah it's just everybody's having it. I doubt it Well, you know, I'm coming up with the business idea right now. and if anyone steals it, we're recording this so they know. Yes. this happens all the time on the podcast. Lawsuits are lining up. Okay, good You could have a place called Dips. Okay, where you can dip your ice cream in any number of things. Right. Even though the problem with my idea is that most things aren't really good to dip it in Yeah, there aren't that many like what would you what would you have? I guess you could have caramel Jam. Jam But it has to be something that would freeze on it. And has to be something that's fairly notot too thick because if you stick the ice cream it's going to fall apart. Yeah It's like whatever sauce you would normally put on ice cream if you just dipped stuff in it. But there's just like, we've already kind of Is that the same as like the dirt With those dairy queen Right. Can you do more than just chocolate? Dave This is an interesting thing about Utah. There's a kind of gross restaurant fast food chain called Arctic Circle And they go there so bad. That's what you think. I think they boil their hamburgers first of all I don't know if that's confirmed or not I've heard that rumor, but u They have a dipped chocolate cone, but what they call it is a brown topper, which is like anytime I tell someone from outside of Utah, they're like, what are you what? But they also, I think they have like strawberry I think they've like branched into other flavors that no one really cares. like banana Yeah. It's like, I get why you tried Yeah, that's why this business won't ever work is because nobody wants anything other than chocolate. Right. I'm trying baby peanut butter. Yeah, that would be good. That would be very good. R. But how do you get it to freeze on there? It would have to be kind of a non peanut butter. Yeah, you'd have to put so much so many chemicals in it to get it to to be so then it ends up tasting like one of those like cheap U Candies you buy at like CVS or something. Bad Easter chocolate or something Yeah, but' you're in a realm of a business concept. Yeah. Okaykay, I'll keep working on my business. Or listeners is probably getting to it right now. Yeah, of course. And then they're gonna sue their ass off. But I really don't think that I really don't think that this butter dipped ice cream is going to be like the next barrada. No, it's a stunt. It's a stunt. It an absutely stunt. Have you been to Liibre in New York I don't think I have. Unbelievable bakery Oh really And there's a place called Lacabra. They're both in the East village that are They're not pulling any stunts. They're not pulling stunts. Just honest pastries. Delish. Unbelievable But New York is kind of like they had that horrible cookie dough thing happening Do you remember this where you would get like cookie dough served to like ice cream? Oh yeah.. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually that to me sounds great It has to be the kind it can't have egg in it, right? Right. So so that's the thing. It's like probably not even real cookie dough. It's some weird chemical hing similar to You know what, I had another business concept recently that had something to do with mashed potatoes. Oh, what I was saying And I actually think this is a good idea and people are going to probably attack me. I may have already said this, but you know, Tyber Banks had the hot ice cream. But how is it doing? Is it still She got sued or something, right? Probably. I'm probably for a lot of things. But that I have not tried, but like tried to figure out, I got online and it' like, what are we talking about Right And it seems to be just like hot chocolate or something. I thought couldn't hot ice cream just be sweet mashed potatoes with different flavors in them? What do you think of that U actually don't think it's a bad idea. You just have to take whatever You'd really have to make sure that the mashed potato flavor wasn't in there. Right. L can consistency. But but you know I think you shouldn't can I kind of like riff on your idea? I would love this. make it out of sweet potato because then it's already right. less savory. Right. Because you know how people put like marshmallow in sweet potatoes? So you're already like in the right direction where you could add sweet stuff to it And also there's like sweet potato There's all this.s's in the dessert category. I would just say my edit would be and I would like a percentage would be or just like that promote Oh sure. like kind of mention you occasion Yeah evenven if it's like not a financial When I stole this idea from Vanessa? Well, no, it's your idea. That's why I'm saying I just want to be like promoted. Okay, sure, sure. But then the big problem is do you call it I think you would get sued if you called it ice cream because it's notot it is, but then it's like the marketing angle. You can't be it like it's dessert potatoes. No one wants that So it's that's, I think the biggest thing you have to overcome You've got you just have to think of some creative branding. because sweet potatoes already has sweet in the name. Right. So so you can't call it sweet potatoes Th then people are like, well,'s the restaurant with sweet potatoes Sweet potatoes. It's something that we've got a workshop off podcast We'll launch it in like a pop up in New York Sweet potatoes Oh, interesting. And then we lose the idea that it's hot. whichich is tough It's like because you want the novelty is that it's like hot ice cream, right Right. Oh right. I forgot that you're making it. kind of to take down time. you could take you could make cold sweet potato ice cream. Yeah, for the summer. For the summer. but I guess it would be better hot. And I think it might get hard, reallyally hard. I don't know what a frozen mashed potato's like that seems Like a hard category But this is something and people do it with bananas too, if they like puree bananas into ice cream. Oh God. Now we're gonna get a thousand things on our phone about that. It's a good thing I have a break Well, there's something else we probably should talk about. Sir. I was looking forward to having you on the podcast. Vanessa will come by. We'll have a nice time. No hard feelings. So the podcast is called I said No Gifts. You've been on it before. This is We frequently do reuse bags on this podcast. Bags are expensive. They're extremely expensive. I'm not complaining. No it sounds like you are This does look like an expensive bag. You know, I think it came in a set. Oh okay. So a cute set. A cute little set Well, let's get into, o, we should say what it has on it. It's got little monkeys on it, listener, Cute monkeys. If you can picture a cute monkey, They reminded me of Bridger And it's kind of a mint green Yeah, matching in here I love these. This is a great pair of sunglasses from Santa Barbara. This is Santa Barbara on the side. I'm gonna wear these for the rest of the episode. I hope you do. I think they'll look great on you. Let's see here Okay, tellell me about What's going on here Well, first of all, you have to protect your eyes. you know, we're both very fair. Yes. Are fair people's eyes more? I think that Actually the f your eye color up to an like everybody's eyes are very sensitive, so you have to be careful. But I think because you have light colored eyes, they're even more vulnerable. They actually look very good on you And I think that then people will go, what a cool guy. And then when you turn to the right, they'll go, Oh no and he likes Santa Barbara And I don't know that anyone has no one I know knows how to feel about Santa Barbara, I think. I think someome people like it's kind of boring, but it's nice But they've got great shopping. It's Santa Barbara is such a agree with I don't know why I'm trying to add on. You said it perfectly Did you get these violin in Santa Barbara and I think so. When was the and I'm now just I want to say Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara. That seems that's a. What do you say? Santa Barbara? Santa Barbara, right? Like Santa Barbara. Santaara sounds like because Santa Claus Like a Barbara nanta a Barbara that is a Santa Claus. Right. Santa Barbara. Right. It's like, you know, Barbara has put on her Santa costume. And you know, remember Santa Barbera is who makes cartoons? No, that's. Hannah Barbberaro, right? That's right Santa Barbero. That might be, but theyd make like flintch ones they make. As soon as I said it, I thought that's not right. It sounds close. Sounds kind of like crookie. Dud S some people will go, I was just in Santa Barbara last weekend. But really what they should say is I was just in Santa Barbara. Yeah. But I think the context you just put it in made more sense And I can take these off as soon as you want because I feel like this could be make people uncomfortable. They actually look really cool Maybe this is just another new part of the podcast. They match your outfit because the white and endnds match the white on your shirt. I'm excited. I'm gonna see it myself. You actually are a good shape on you. Let's see here It's a good pair. I think this is a very class. Do you have sunglasses? I have a lot of sunglass. Okay good. You'll add this to your. They're a little crooked right now. There we go. Yeah, this will go in my car. In my car, I have probably four to five different pairs of sunglasses. One is prescription for when I have my glasses on. Well, you know I'm crazy about sunglasses. Oh really. Were you still in Palm Springs when we talked about when I had Oh my God Slasses. We had an interesting experience in Palm Springs. We really did. We kind of relate to Spencer Pratt in a huge way. Yes. We left Los Angeles when it was on fire. Yes and stayed with our lovely friends, Amily and Mark. Yes. They were very gracious too. So great. take us in for way too long Yes. They should have asked us to muchuch longer than we expected. Yes. we could have hoped for. Oh, it was I mean, they're two angel people. They're angel people. While there, you kind of made a pitch for a new type of sunglasses. I was gonna I lost my sunglass. Wait Oh but we ended up at a place that we had a big discussion about with a weird name. Yeah, because it's like Hula Daves or something. That's so close. So what happened was I lost my Rayband sunglass. and I wanted to get the same kind. Okay Amily took me to this sunglasses store. that was called, I believe, Santa Barbara Sunnglasses. Sorry Sorry, Palm Spring sunglass. Okay That would have been That would have been a strange branding. They would have gone. Well, I could see I could see people attaching Santa Barbara to their name to kind of Like maybe it should be Santa Barbara hot potato. It's kind of like a malibu chicken sandwich. Did you ever have those? Our elementary school serve something called the malibu Chicken sandwich. Oh my go. Which was like a processed chicken patty with, I think a piece of hand. In you on it. That's a vaulting f. but it made it seem fun Well We went to Palm Spring sunglasses The guy there was so helpful and like really knowledgeable about sunglasses is so nice And I was like, I'm looking for Raybands. He kind of showed me the Raybandance. he had. I'm crazy about sun protjection and about like my eyes being protected. becausecause my eye do actor is like, you have to buy really nice sunglasses, which those are. Yeah, this is kind of the ultimate. I can stare. This' almost direct. The plastic they came wrapped in should show you Um He's also like they should be thicker on the sides. likeike you shouldn't have like thin sock so I know. It's my current. I know You're going have to get rid of those I do think you want may buy Little, little u thingsings that can look like a dork. Make you look like a dork. Yeahah. Um, but so we were looking at what they had and they didn't have a ton and then he was like You should try this pair of Maui gyms I was so close. You were so close. What did you say? I think I said Hula Dave. Yeah, you're so close. And we were like Okay because it sounds like that's funny because it sounds like the name of sunglasses that are like Um kind of look like those. Yeah, Or like that you would buy from like a Jimmy Buffett restaurant. Yeah, exactly. ye, exactly. exactly. Maui Gys. Maui G C to find out. So these are the best sunglasses I've ever owned. Really. They the way depending on what color you get, like the way they brighten things even when you're in E when you're in like a darker area, it's like you could keep them on all the time. Now, I will say in any kind of sunglass, I have an issue, which is that I wear so much sunscreen that even and it's rubbed in and everything, it somehow still always gets on the lenses. so I always have to like so all of my sunglasses are hard to see out of because it's just a total fult Yeah They have to just clean them constantly. But these are the best sunglasses I've ever had. and Amily got into them. Amily got a pair of Maui Gims. I believe that Mark sent me a Maui Gys t shirt afterwards. there As we said, they're the loveliest people. And so Maui Gims is my new go to And what's so crazy is that so many people like you were like What the hell are you talking about? to my eye doctor, I'm like, I just got a pair of Maui Gys. He he was like, Uh, Maui Gymss are great. Like it's veryied like fifty fifty. Like some people are like, of course, Maui Gyms and other people are like, what are you talking about? First of all, I had never heard that mentioned anywhere in my life. I that time And then when I heard it, I thought, oh, that's going to be garbage. Yes Because the name yeah, they couldn't have picked sounds like a flip flop, right? I know. I know. But people either are like familiar with them and think they're great or have no idea what they are and think that they, like you said, are sold at a Jimmy Buffett concert I'm trying to I don't think I even I must have seen them. What style are they? Are they like Ray Ban esque I' I see you. You can Oh, this is a very stylish. Yeah, but you can see how dirty they are. It's impossible to clean a lens. There I think it' so hard to clean. Glasses and sunglasses, I think get to a point that the grease and whatever on them is just kind of a permanent thing that you're moving around. Well, what he told us to do, the guy working there, is he said you should take old school Dawn And you should put it on a microfiber cloth. Okay. And he was like, and take the cloth and cut it up into a million pieces. And then you can use it A few times piece a few times, but like anyway, I did that but I bought a microfiber cloth that kind of u It had sort of a shaggy texture to it. So I got a bunch of those. Oh, got so I've got little pink pieces of cloth all over my sunglasses when I do it. And I'm like, this isn't working. And then u When am I because because I had the D of insurance U because I have it, I was using it for my as my dishwashing. Right. You're putting it in the dishwasher? No, sorry, as my like as my like hand Whing dishes stuff And someone told me, don't do that Really? Because I guess you can go on apps and I if Don wants to do a commercial with me They clean the ducks They cleaaned the docks. That was such a powerful. It a great piece of footage and the save by the bell Have you seen that recently? No Do you know what Did you watch S es? Do you remember the episode where they were gonna to build They were going to build an oil tank refinery or something the campus. Oh no, like the bad guys. They were going to come in and build oil refinery and they were starting drilling. And Jesse, of course, who's an environmentalist was like This is a bad idea. and I think they were like giving them like School will be so high tech. We'll give you all this money. an oil refer. Yeah, I don't even understand like where it was in relation to the school. But then there was this duck named Becky, I believe. Okay. And Becky got covered in oil. And they showed it on the show. And they showed it. I mean, it was obviously not a real dog. And they were like And Zach, You know how on sitcoms when they try and have u a sad moment where someone or something dies and they they go like They won't accept it Y that because like No, she's not dead. She she's just not breathing. like get the water off of her. like shes just And they were like Z Becky's dead. So the clip was like going around the internet recently or around Instagram, which is why I have my brick. but it was like and Zach's like no, you just have to wash Beck anymore. like she'll be fine okay? And very sad, but they learned Oil is bad. Hint It's not worth having a state of the art Jim Cfeteria? I don't know. so that you can have op How was this villain even introduced to the show? It was like, you know, there I mean It kind of shit that we watched. What a dream to be working at that time. whereere you It does not matter what the idea is Can I tell you something? You know, we've talked about this I think, Is that I still watch General Hospital? No, but I just got a vintage genereneral Hospital jacket. Oh,'s my favoriteiece of cloth.ood what kind is it like a bomber jacket? It's like a What are those ones that are like varsity? Kind of sporty looking, but it's not varsity. Kind of like a base is it a baseball jacket Got it. okay, okay, maybe yeah. But it's like an old general hospital crew jacket. That is incredible. I protect my life.'s great. That sounds great Hospital if you watched it now They haven't updated any of their plot lines or sets or anything so that you It's like They just sort of exist and there our viewers will accept it. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. And in the same way that ins Sved by the Bell like The sort of like slick looking smooth talking oil guys come into the school and you like know they're bad guys, but they're like charming Zach because he plays kind of a guy who's won over very easily like a dumb teen Right Right. He's ay This guy yes, this guy This guy runs the town crime stuff This person is good. It's so refreshing.' very pure about that. Oh it's great. I love watching it. It's just so and although sometimes they will try and like steal from popular shows and kind of like do similar storylines, but like They never quite get it right and I like that Wait, are you the person who showed me? Was it General Hospital where Colonel Sand? Yes, I showed that to you Colonel Sand, by the way, I think the people on it are very talented. Sure. They have to do stuff like for example, I told you, I showed you this Clearly had a sponsorship with Colonel Sanders Colonel Sanders comes on George The very Tan guy actor Anyway, you know, there's always like a different this is what I learned George Hamilton, thank you There's always a different Colonel Sanders. L I don't know if there is one right now. Reiba was one at one point. Oh my go, you're right. By the way, Reba can do no wrong. I tr really do it all. That makes you know what I mean? Then I go, okay, it's cool. Yeah, of course. But So Colonel Sanders played by George Hamilton comes on He is the syndicate is trying to steal his secret recipe for fried chicken and so he needs to go visit he's for some reason very good friends with this character, Maxi And he needs her to take the recipe that he has written on this like note card in this envelope And she has like one of those books that like it's not really a book, it's really a box. Oh yeah. She opens it, she puts it in there. And she promises never to look at it, which's like Wh And he it's not like a dream, it's not a hallucination. He's just part of the universe and he's being like trailed by the syndicate Yeah. and then he's like He says like He's there's like a warlock somehow and what But then Maxi's friend What's the friend's name? Maxi's friend is like Lulu. She is like a journalist and she's like, I want to do a story on you, Colonel Sanders. and like what's going on? And he's like Some things you can't need to stay secret And she's like dealing with this awful stuff like in the st other parts of the storyl. likeike she's like basically Maxie had Colonel Sanders come over also unclear to like cheer Lulu up because Lulu's like I like It's like somebody died or somebody crazy, but it's like, oh, of course, bring in Colonel Sanders. That'll make everything better And then he leaves and Lulu this talalented actress who is, I think in Bring it on to Okay. She has to go Oh my God, that's the coolest person I've ever met in my life And you go, years of acting school. like these people are talented actors. And they've worked so hard to get there. So hard and they're so good and they show up every day and they work so hard and they have to do a scene with Colonel Sanders callalling them the coolest guy they've ever. And she has to say, this is the coolest guy I've ever met. I go By the way They've replaced the actress who plays that character. and I I'm like good for her, you know? because she moved on. She didn't move on right after that, but At some point, she went into a coma a couple of years ago and she just came out of different as you They should have kerel bags Well, yeah, I mean, it depends. if it I mean, it would be, I think tough if it was Reba. I think if it was Reba, she would be like, no. No, Reba. She's I mean, she's on Reba's place Happy place Happy's place, happppy's place. Reba's jooy. The thing about Reba is like she's never gonna not have work. It's like she's so beloved I mean, she's I'm thrilled for her. People just adore her. People adore her. Everybody kind of just agrees on Reba for Kind of whatever reason, just because she's Reba Also like when she was on Reba The show rematch. Briant Beause I will say, I'm not as familiar with Happy's placeays. No, I'm not either But she's really good on Riba. She' a great she's a good performer. She's a great like comedic actress. like, you know, she's like, oh boy The only episode of Reiba I've seen is the Christmas special. and I think there's something about Reba not believing A man I think there's an unhoused man who's she thinks is claiming to be Santa Claus and she dumps hot gravy in a lap I don't remember exactly how all that comes together, but there's some elements where I thought this seems interesting for a Christmas episode Totally, tootally. Yeah. I mean, I can't speak to, but here's what I will say Do you remember in Reba that like the daughter had like this boyfriend who was always around who was sort of a dumb guy? Okay This actor is blowing up right now. Re He is, I have well, this is something we should look up as the boyfriend on Reiba, not Reiba's boyfriend, her daughter's boyfriend He is in high potential. He plays like the new boss Really? He plays the boss in High potential. He also, have you seen off campus or heard about it? No Oh, this is the smut. Yes. Well I don't want to say anything bad about it because it's One of my favorite shows in all time. It's kind of a smuddy show. Well, in a good b. It'sitten, It's written. It's written by women Women like and it's very nostalgic and they write all of the men are written how a woman would want a man to be in the sense that they're like Not scumbag. That's asking like And it's actually very good. People love it. I'm like turning red as I'm telling you about it because I'm embarrassed to be like so publicly saying how much I love it because I'm in my forties. but Um, But it's people love it. It's kind of like heated rivalry It's it's absolutely it's like the next heated rivalry But cut to The main character a very difficult relationship with his dad, played by Steve Howy, boyfriend in Reba. Wow. So this guy It's the same guy, right sureure is is He is like hitting up so high potentials is like one of the most popular shows on network television. like the most Ver good like procedural but funny. Right, right And then Campus is like the number one show on Amazon. He is gott to be number three on the starmetor. I I'm dumping my age and I want to go with his. I'm kidding because I do like all my representation, but it's just like he's like hitting these huge shows. And you go, I remember when you were like the dumb brother, I mean, the dumb boyfriend Ann Rba. Think how long ago that was. Think of his journey to this. and like Of all the people ' remember Reiba's friend who I think is also Un Happy's place. You keep asking me to remember elements of Reiba, I'm just not going to. I think the same actress now I'd like to confirm this, who was like the her like best friend or something on Reiba is her best friend on Happy's placelace, which is so nice. Oh that's really nicean I think and she's very talent. Peter Man. Is she on both shows? Yes. Oh. So she is doing great But it's like, if you watch that show to be like, oh, the boyfriend is the one who's gonna like go on and be like And this is all within the last like two years. Right, very recent. I mean, I'm thrilled for him. He's plays a very unlikable kind of unlikable on both shows. In a good way, though. But in a good way.''s a good he's a very good actor. Was he an unlikable boyfriend in Rba? No, in Riba, my recollection of him is that he was liable but very dumb So it's like, but like dumb, like it's like I'm trying to think of another show that had a character like that. we have Joey and friendriends. Except it's like, it was a character that like really wasn't like of my recollection of Riba and I guess we've spent way too long in Rba, but like my recollection is like he was definitely like heavily recurring, but he wasn't like A main part of R. You know what I mean? He would just show up on occasion. It's like it's like if DJ's boyfriend Steve house, all of a sudden you're seeing Steve in like succession. Where is Steve, by the way Ellis, can we look into Steve Where Steve is? I mean, hopefully he hasn't taken the same turn as DJ because can't . Minor, the voice of Aladdin. He's Oh I forgot this. He was the voice of Aladdin And then that's it. That's all he needs. Kind of, honestly. Can you look up his net worth Height He's a coEP on paradise Whoa, Wa. That's that's actually kind of crazy. What a trajectory. That's a roll. So God, I don't know. it's maybe there's something about like They got to like experience the success of the shows they were on, but without having to be like highly like Like they hounded. Hounded. Like they got to kind of like get through it and like kind of learn from it. I'm making this all up. Learn from it, but not but like in a way that like didn't affect them Right. They've got to like be in the business but lead a normal life. Yeah They were probably teenagers. By the way, I want to back up to something you said earlier, which is I hope you didn't go the way of DJ DJsn't quite well Because she is she's the devil. Wait, she is Candice Cameron Is it Bur B? She all I know about her is that she has a clothing line in QVC Is she bad? She's so bad. very conservative. She's like in a way that's like poisonous. Okay, okay. And she's I think kind of nasty about it. I think she was trying to launch like a streaming service that wouldn't have gay people on. Oh God. Okaykay, I take it back. love take You love her. take it back. The thing is all I knew is that she had a clothing line on VC It looked like You know, it's not stuff that I would buy. but I was like, you know, okay, so she's doing that But yeah, I do know I know her brother Kirk has gone's They must be they're quite're get back and I don't support Candace Cameron Beret. Is that her last name? I have no ide. It's B U R E. Is that butter? Pummer. That's so sad. At least the other gals, they've all kind of Jodody Sweeten had that book feel like Josie Sweeten, Jodie. Jodie, I think. She seems like she's she's like a normal adult A normal adult. And Mary Kate Ashley. I mean they are love I love that they were like, we're not doing a reboot. It's crazy. They're so powerful. They're so powerful. Like they could buy and sell that reboot. They're billionairesver I don't know how rich they are, but I do know that like if you try and buy a shirt from the row, it's like two thousand dollars. Unbelievable. That's what Candice wants. That's what Candace wants. but Candice is over here pedaling her I don't know I mean, Come on, Candace. Candice. You still have time. It's Yeahah, it's so odd, is your name? Yeah. That family must have just been like weirdly people in the beginning because they're so like nasty about it. And who would have thought that the one that would go to prison would be someone went to jail? Didn't Laie Laughlan have to go to? Oh that's rightong. Yeah, who would Be of the scandal? Because of the college. Who would think Aunt Becky goes to prison? She has such a good heart. What's his name? The boyfriend is Aladdin. And now he's a co EP on Paradise. You know what? That's right That does make sense. Do That makes sense. I'm sorry that I was being so positive about Candace Cameron Burt. I didn't know she was a little demon. And isn't she maybe she was on like the talk or something at some point or the view and she was kind of the person that was just horrible. Cervative Although I did know that her brother is like She's like a like He probably runs the creationist museum or something. Yeah, yeah yeah. He's so weird. I think very trumpy psychos But she's got a clothing line Eentes She's ruined a legacy, essentially Sorry, Candas. I've been to Jeff Franklin's house the creator of Full House. You have? It was It's built on the Sharon Tate estate. They bulldozed the Manson Murder house and built kind of a tacky, Vegas style mansion with a shark tank in it And this was before he was then outed for various, I think, me too crimes. 'cause I don't know anything about him. And was he in charge when the reboot came back? Yes. So did all this stuff happen? Did he get the stuff came out after the reboot was Wow. So recent kind of. Pretty recent, yeah And I could have told you after going to his house, there's something going on with this guy. There's a shark tank in there, you kind of know. He has a wall of ellvis plates. so it's a little like This guy something's going on. And also to to pick that lot of land. Yeah, it's just if you have the money Simply find a different. Yeah Why do you want a haunted piece of land Yeah it was there was a dark vibe. It was not an interest I mean, it was an interesting experience. I had a cold sore at the time also. Kill me. Oh God. Can you imagine Cld store at Jeff Franklin's mans Not that should be your book Um I should say, I should clarify the reason I was there was for the most normal reason you can, some sort of that yeah, Illiana Douglas, you know who that is She was in like Cape Far in various days through the nineties. She would do these things called living room shows through LA to raise money for various things. And my boyfriend, Jim would sing in them on occasion. Okay. And so he was part of that. And I was there. Wow. This was like three weeks into meeting him. So it was really a surreal part of early dating And I had a cold sore. onnce again, nightmare Okay, I've got my sunglasses. I think we should play game We're gonna play a game called I actually have to takeake these offff at this point. T too dark. your eyes are justing blind. Maybe only wear those like on the beach and somewhere where you don't have to drive. If they me on the beach. Tell me about it. Do you go to the beach? If I go to the beach, I just wear like long sleeve bathing suit, long pants. I can't have a beach experience, so it's really not. Yeah. ye. J's like I'm watching everybody else kind of enjoy themselves. So I'm worried. Yeah, ye. I need to be able to hang loose. Right. You need to be able to hang ten. Hang ten and surfs up. We're going to play a game called Gift ofcurse, but I need a number betweenween one and ten forree. Okay, I have to do some light calculating to get our game pieces so you can promote, recommend, do whatever you want. Oh, of my stuff. Yeah, whatever you want. where to start I've got a podcast called How did We Get Weird that I do with my brother Jonah. Bridger's been on it We talk about nostalgic things We have some very fun episodes coming out and it's a lot of fun and you can find it wherever you get your podcast Again, it's called How did we Get Weird? U If you're watching the sccrubs reboot, I'm in that. so you can see me in that Um, and Also, I'm in hoppers that Oh, hoppers was under. I'm the shark Diane. Yeah She jumps on the car. Ops the spoiler You would kind of steal the movie. I would It' nice of you to say. I everyone loves the shark Well, one thing I'm very impressed with is that there's shark for not being in the film very much, there's a shark, there's like plushy of course thousands stuff you can buy. It's kind of like the big thing of the piece of bigat piece. Yeah Um And That's really all that's out in this moment. Oh great. Oh, Matdie's secret. Oh my God. I forgot your in. Oh I can't wit to see. Matie's secret com out at the end of June in New York in L.A. and I'm not sure when it's coming out in other cities, although I think it will But John Earlly's directorial debut, he stars in it, wrote it It's I can't I really think you're going I think everyone's going to love it. Bridger. I think you're going John is one of our all time best. I mean, the cast is like just it's crazy Yes our all time Berlant, Claudo Dherty, Connor O'a. It's it's crazy. Unbelieve. I can't wait to see. peopleeople have got to see that when they can When you When you have time, When you've got time, if you find a minute in your schedule, you find some time for it Okay, this is how we play Giftter occurs. Okay. do I have anything to recommend Yeah, what do you wantan to recommend? I'm trying to think if there's anything I've got that I've seen recently. I watched contagion last. Oh actually speaking of Chacters I mean, there's essentially the Zack in the duck situation, but it's Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow. I'm saying my wife's not dead, my wife's not dead. It's very much like the duck. Oh my Godd. Okay, so they probably stole them from Sven. Absolutely. Okay, this is how we play gift or a curse. I'm going to name three things. Okay. You'll tell me if they're a gift or a curse and why Okay And then I'll tell you if you're right or wrong. Okay. There are correct answers. Okay Okay, this first one is from a listener named Karin Gift or recurse group chats Now I just want to clarify what they are. They like a text. Yeah, I think that's what we're talking. I think even though it's nice for a bunch of people to connect, I think overall they are a curse because sometimes you'll look at your phone and you have a thousand texts and you have to catch up and it can be stressful. So I think it's nice, they're nice in theory, but in practice, they are a curse Correct. Is right? I completely agree. Okay. I find them so overwhelming most of. It doesn't the juice is not worth the squeeze, as I say When they're fun, they're fun for a minute, but then you leave your phone. and if I see a bunch of ike ninety five texts, my hearts are gracing And you don't really know how to respond. Exactly. I almost think that and I know that I was talking about how I stay off Instagram so much, I almost think that those threads are better because somehow people don't like jump on as easily. I don't know. Right. But I think over text, it's so stressful to return to your phone and there's a million texts. Oh my go. And then like sometimes I'm like then reacting to various ones Well, no one actually cares about that. And then everybody sees Vanessa Hard at a thing and they' pissed They're getting angrier and anger. They're like, you did it too late. J let it go Yeah, it's I I mean, I'm happy to be part of them most of the time, but I prefer a one on It's kind of like a party to me. I would rather just go to dinner with one friend onight. otherwise I'm overwhelmed. I hear you. Okay, I've gotten one right so far. veryery good. Thank you. The next one is from a listener named Annie, Gift or aurse when producers get involved on camera on reality shows. It's usually a gift and I'll tell you why It usually means something crazy is happening because I feel like they only step in if things are really insane or like somebody's like I guess in the in the way I like to sort of see a peek behind the camera. So like for example, if like somebody is like is like I'm gonna to leave. I'm leaving. This is I'm out of here. I'm leaving. And then the producer has to come out and be like, stay, it's okay. It's okay. You're okay. Then you're like, this is entertaining. It's like the peak of the show. Yeah So I feel like in general, although there are times when it's like there's some kind of like actual like physical fighting and stuff in and that's always like you're like, that's not Uh, you know But in general, because it means always like something very unscripted is happening on these shows that can feel sometimes sort of Right. I think it's a gift Thank you. We're on the same page here. I mean, I'm picturing Saltake City house driives. I'm picturing Heather storing off while on vacation producer having to she's sobbing, trying to catch a cab That's entertaining. Yes I watch seecret Les of Mormon Wives' constantly talking about executive producer Russell J. Staglick. He only appeared once, but he was stirring the pot and I liked that. Bridger, I haven't gotten on board with that.hould I watch shouldhould I watch it or and or what parts should I watch? It's an interesting show to recommend. This is is It's kind of hard to watch, but once you get into the rhythm of it you're like No show offers the amount of drama per pound that this every three minutes Yeah Most you're seeing a shocking new drama, someone is going through something huge. So every episode feels like it's probably ninety hours long when in fact, it's forty five minutes. Okay. But then I'll go back and watch Real Housewives and I'm like, nothing happens on this show. Right. They go to lunch twice and have a mild fight. Yeah, I like that. But yeah's I think you could get into it if you just have to like condition I like recommending something where you're like, you basically just have to break yourself Well, I know you cover it quite extensively and I know you man. Yeah. And who better? Yeah I'm kind of the experts. Yeah. They should be paying me. I should be brought in as a the host of the reunions at bare minimum. They really actually should do that. I hope they can I hope they're hearing them. Yeah, I mean, the closest I've come so far is kind of forormer fan favorite Taylor Frankie Paul liked one of my posts. Amazing. She's kind of now she's been canceed slowly ejected from her But I think she's coming back. Okay. She' coming back. Okay. well I hope for everyone in her family's sake that that's good Okay, you've gotten two corrects so far and this final one is from a listener named Sydney And this is kind of a concept I'm not super familiar with, but we'll move through it. Gift or curse, when your boss says they volntld you for a terrible project and then laughs like they made up that phrase. Have you heard of volntol? No, I thought you said it wrong. It's a croky situation. We're getting too much into this shit. Vol and told When this was submitted, I looked it up. and I think this is a recent phenomenon in the workplace which is kind of like an annoying thing bosses do where They basically assign you to something, but then are like acting like you volunteered to do it? And so they told you to do that Like the context of it makes no sense whatever to me. So this person is saying they volunteered you and the boss is like it's It's it's gonna to suck haa. The boss is like, ha ha haa. I' so funny that I use this word all and told Oh, so the boss is actually using the word. Yes And I guess it is horrible obviously a curse. I mean I don't know what could be a blessing or was that a gift Sorry. I don't know what could be a gift about it sounds First of all It so feels so like condescending to like use kind of a new G Z term if you're a boss, even if you are a G Z boss. Yeah, that they know they're sorry, I'm going to use the real word volunteering you for something that is annoying or bad I don't even know, it's almost like being like getting in a car accident, is that a gift or it's like of course it's a curse Rong Rang. This one to me is a clear gift because basically what you're saying. I can't imagine any person who's not immediately the enemy I mean, they really out themselves as like you are unforgivable Oh, so you're saying they're showing their true self, so it's a gift. I can't imagine there's no middle ground with this one saying Vol and told, like who thinks that's a good idea I mean, again, I haven't experienced. Wouldn't that then be a curse? Well, I just think, well now everybody gets to it's nice in the workplace to have a common enemy. And so they kind of like, well, this person is detestable. You've thought through it several steps and you are You couldn't be more right. Nothing bonds people more than old person who says v andnt told or is just a nightmare. That is Isn't that funny that that is like the universal thing? Any job I've ever been at There is a bad person You are like Oh.
