The Republicans have been spiraling ever since Tax rates were very high for the richest of the rich in America was booming because people like it when their government works. Nikki Haley knows that littleittle Moses Mike Grinder knows that and they know that their policies don't work. But what they can do is take a white pulation, a white electorate and scare them and talk about socialism or black people or Muslim people or women. And the thing about Nikki Haley being a brown woman is when you're running in the Republican Party, they're sexist and racist That's why she't get elected on that side. And so this is all they have is culture war stuff because In my lifetime, every Republican president starts a war, adds to the deficit, bankrupts the economy. And this is no different except for all of these horrific interior design projects and he's just a lot more impolite. but there's really not that big of a difference between George W. Bush and Donald Trump except for how impolite Donald Trump how impolite Donald Trump is. And look, George Bush was, he was about being a compassionate conservative. George, which was buull shit whichich was bullshit. right. And as much as George as bad as George Bush was around the war att least he was not as awful as Donald Trump. this is what I will give him around immigration. I do look, as much as I As highly as I think of Zora Mamdani, I really do think that it was all about timing for him because Jen, how long have I been saying this? Before Zoran Mamani was even on the map, I was telling you that the energy on the Democratic side was on the progressive side and that Democrats needed to figure that out. And people like AOC needed to have Um, leadership positions in the Democratic Party. And they needed people like Nancy Pelosi, as much as we respect what she got done with with health carere and all that, they needed to make room for younger, more progressive voices in the party and they needed to stop squelching them and pushing them down. And then Rzora Mamani stepped into that moment and now he'sing leading it. So you have to give it to him. But I believe that this started in the ether out in the world before Zora Mandani and he read the tea leads. So if Democrats really want to win And if you think that they're in the middle of a tea party moment, perhaps, but I think they're in a moment now of reckoning where they need to realize, like, hey, this centrist shit ain't gonna work. This Kumbaya shit ain't gonna to work. Working with the Republicans, that's not going to happen. Being Republican light is not going to happen. Being afraid of people calling you woke, no one gives a shit about that anymore. Being afraid of trans people and standing up for people for the underserved and the most vulnerable in society, if you think that that's bad Th then you need to get out of the party. You need to get out of the way and let the people who want to lead and the people who want to do good for people step in the way and make it work like Zora Mamani is doing it in New York City And let's talk about the Democratic Party right now. I think they need to message exactly what you've messaged on this show before It is not radical to not want your politicians to be bought off by oligarchs. It is not radical to want people to earn a livable wage Bernie Sanders, you know, they've tried to brand him as this crazy radical socialist forever. and Bernie paved the way in a lot of ways. He ran for president, but he paved the way for Zoron because he injected into the electorate an antidote for all of this grotesque Republicanism where the rich get richer. and Bernie's antidote is empower the worker There's more people there They need the help more. That's how we build a community. And I think the Democrats need to return back when they're fighting within the party, when they're fighting the MGaite sect of the Democratic Party. I think the antidote for them to fight back is We are not taking the party to the left. You've taken it to the right. We're going back to FDR. We're going back to a time where rich people pay their fair share in taxes. We're going back in time where we deliver materially for the people. You don't like trans people good. You wanna ban them in sports, You w to ban off fourteen of them, fine. How is that going to put food on your table? How is that going to help your grandmother that has cancer or needs None of that shit works. And then he just started posting pictures of Zoron with the FDR painting. and it was like a week after he had been there and tells you where his mind had been. But that's the key. And I think the Democrats have to He's going through cer rolled on. He's sitting there going through it was like it was like seven to nine days later Where was his hand as he was doing those boobs? There it is. Z He's so dark and bearded and handsome , you know, Trump would be like, That's the antidote is tell the Democrats We are not radical. Republicans don't let Democrats define them, Republicans define them themselves Democrats are so concerned about being called a leftist or a progressive or a socialist or whatever. If I were running for office, I wouldn't give a shit. I would say call it what you want. I don't care if you call it socialist. I don't care if you call it funionalist. I don't give a fuck what you call it. This is what I'm going to do for my constituents and what I'm going to do for the people of America. them a livable wage. I want them to have affordable healthcare. I want them to be able to take care of their families. I want them to be able to go to the grocery store and buy healthy food. I don't want them to live in food deserts I don't want them to have to decide between a politician who has maybe a lot of money or a whole lot of money or is a billionaire because there's so much so much money in politics. So I think Democrats need to do that. And if a Democrat wants to win, what they will say is, we need to get the court in order We need to we need to expand the court
