Hey, what's up, everybody? Thank you for joining us today, man. I hope it's your new year is off to a great start. Uh my name is Mike Bro, and it's a privilege. Just to hang with you a few minutes every day, as together with God's help, we are learning how to walk a new direction. And we've been talking about how our direction determines our destination. That if we want to end up in a better place this year, we have to head the right direction. Our direction determines our destination. And our decisions determine our direction. As we make better decisions, we start heading a better direction. You got to map your route. And this has been our map our route verse that we've been living in this entire week. It's Jeremiah 6, 16. You might be familiar with it by now. It says this is what the Lord says. Stop at the cross and look around. Ask for the old godly way and just walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your soul. Now we just been breaking it down into bite size nuggets. You know, I I love I love Chick fil A little little nuggets. I could eat like a million of them. So I I I I like things that are bite sized. It helps me process it better. So let's just do it again. Let's just break this down to bite size pieces. This is what the Lord says. Stop at the crossroads and look around. And ask. Ask. Now, I gotta tell you, those are two great words for most of us guys to hear. Stop and ask. 'Cause it seems like it's so hard for guys especially to stop and ask. At least it has been for me. And may the maybe that's why I I feel like God has been speaking to me. Bro, you what what if you stop acting like you know all the answers? And you start asking more questions. Why don't you admit you could use some direction? Stop and ask for some help. Now the fact you're even listening to this It kind of tells me you want to do that. I mean, I can't tell you how thrilled I am that that you tuned in today. By putting yourself in a place where you can hear from God, you're asking, you're saying, God, how does a person walk with you? What what's that look like? W where does that path lead? How do I get on it? You're asking, like, what what's a godly marriage look like anyway? W what what does good parenting really look like? What's what's a healthy way of relating to other people? What what kind of character traits exist in a good employee, a good boss, a a good leader, a good student, a good teammate, a good neighbor, a a good friend. How how do I get those kind of things on the inside of me? Where can I go to get some help with my drinking problem, with my prescription prescription drug problem, my sexual addiction, my codependency? What when are those meetings anyway? Can can anybody come I'm finally asking for directions. I'm just saying I need some help this year. The founders of AA wrote one time, We found that God could and would if he were saw it. We found that God could and would if he were sought. And if that is true, as millions of recovering addicts can attest to, isn't it also true that God can't and won't if he's not? You see, the choice is ours. Yeah, I I've said it many times, but there is power in powerlessness. There is such power in humility. There is power in asking God for help. I love this passage. It's found over in 2 Corinthians chapter 1, verse 9. It says we we felt we were doomed to die. And we saw how powerless we were to help ourselves. But that was good. That was good. For then we put everything into the hands of God. Who alone could save us. So God is saying, just ask. And I'll help you. Your willpower will not be enough this year. It never has been enough, and it never will be enough, not by might, not by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. Stop at the crossroads and look around and ask. For help. So let me just pray for us today in that regard. Father, I pray that today you would find us humble. that you would find us stopped at the crossroad and asking for help this year. God is some of us struggle with stuff that we just haven't been able to beat. And there there's a crossroad right now in our life where we just know we need to ask for help. So, Father, I pray that anybody listening to this today who just knows that's true about their situation, that this would be the day where they say, I need some help. I'm asking, I'm asking for help. And that that help would be readily available. And I pray all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. Man, I hope you guys have a great day. Hope you tune in tomorrow as we keep this rolling.
