The Cleveland Guardians didn't pitch all that well. They didn't play defense all that well. They barely hit with runners in swirling pos ition and oh they won a game and they won a series they shouldn't have. We'll tell you how that can be just the spark they need on today's lockdown guardians Parker Messi including Guardians you're l,istening to the Locked Outians. You are Locked On Guardians, your daily podcast on the Cleveland Guardians, part of the Locked On Podcast Network, your team every day Keep playing the kids. And no matter how many mistakes you make, apparently things will turn out, the kids will be alright . This is Lockdown Guardians your only Daily Cleveland Guardians podcast covering teams for the Majors, the miners, the draft, and everything in between every single day . And on today's show, Jeff, we'll get into some I want to do some crossover Rangers and Guardians. We'll talk about that later in the show, some interesting names between the two teams Who the worst starter is on this team of good starters. We'll talk about some of the bolt issues going on and other things that Guardians are going to have to correct. We'll talk about taking necessary risks with the roster the lineup and positioning overall what we'll talk about today to start to show off is this series being an ugly one at least on Sunday , potentially two games they should not have won they did and how that could be the spark this team needs. On the other side of the mic and cameras, Jeff Ellis, who's been here for hosting the show for eight years. I'm Justin Lada, and I've been here alongside Jeff for the last four. And for the last nineteen years we've both been co vering the Guardian's farm system and the draft between us. So didn't think they were going to win this game. I didn't I didn't think they're going to hold on Saturday the way things were trending. Like after that home run, I was like, okay, this is not going to end very well . They got enough offense early on and slaves was awesome on Saturday night. Not as awesome as Joey Cantilo. Like the starters got worse every day this weekend C,antil o was great. Suconi was good, not as good as Cantillo and then Gavin Suconi was so great. He was at six innings no earned runs across on him. I mean, okay, I guess yeah, actually you're right says Cantilo did to allow a run on two hits. One was he just had the home run and then that was basically a cool ammo. He had the nine I guess 'cause he had the nine strikeouts and we walked they both walked too. So I guess I guess they're the same and then Gavin Williams was the worst starter this weekend, but yeah, it didn't seem like they were going to win this this Sunday . You know, they were up. They were down early a deficit the way they had it on Sunday as one of those games where you just, you know, felt like there was zero chance for them to win and things finally happened for them. They got very they got very lucky. Let's be honest. They were lucky to win this game , the way things were going offensively, the way things were going with the bullpen at some points, even on Saturday . Maybe just maybe winning a couple of games, maybe you shouldn't have won a series. You should n't have won. Maybe that's the spark Cleveland needs. Like they have not won a series since Jose Anhell and Delaware went down. De Lauder comes back. They win a game they win the series. I don't know if it's a shock or not or if there's a correlation there but the Lauder did have the big hit to tie the game. So maybe there's there's something there and then he scored what was the winning run he scored the winning run to try trying to injure himself . Yes. Again, he's wearing a flack jacket out there because of his ribs and the guy's not sliding into home plate . Well, I would argue the plate was blocked. I thought the new rules weren't allowed to completely block that. Like I think Cleveland could have actually challenged for like was it obstruction? What a weird challenge by Dan Wilson? I get why they did it. Like just because it was such a critical moment, it's like just challenge it and see what happens. But no, you're right. Like it's it definitely would have was if that challenge would have made more sense for Cleveland. Yeah, no, it was a great game, great performance by him . You know, your first two starters were fantastic . You know, it's hard to judge Gavin in this one and I know people are going to be like, Hey, now you're just being a Gavin apologist, but I'll say the other side of it is like Cooper Engle badly misplays, which leads to their first run . Then Rochio throws a ball away. Rokio drops a ball. So it's like in many ways, well Gavin only won five innings. He actually went the equivalent of six innings . And, you know, getting out of those earlier maybe changes things , you know, it's it's just that odd situation where they were and then you, know, the Bazana throwing it away and you make the case that like if Manzardo's at first base, then maybe he actually can make that play, but you know, Reece Hoskins is, I think, metrically the worst first basement in baseball right now, which says a lot , but it's that situation when you're looking at it. Like they played poorly. There's no way around it. Like they played poorly. They played an ugly game and they won because they, you know, were able to rally late and , you know, put together hit after hit after hit, which, you know, for as much as we complain about our bullpen, boy, Seattle's bullpen is even uglier. Like you can go back listen to Friday if you want to. It's like I previewed like the Seattle team has like six or seven guys who are at least league average or better offensively. And yeah, they sometimes struggle to put it together just like leave them there. Another team that can't hit with runners in scoring position , but man, their pullpen is the reason why they a're sub five hundred team while Cleveland is sitting here down, you know , still down to guys who they're counting on this year. And that their third best record in the American League right now t ide for, I believe . Yeah fourth best record. I mean only four teams are above five hundred. So of course they're one of the four best records in the American League. It's not it's not a great year for the American League and you know what? When we get one of the next ad reads, I'm going to mention that they're tied for third because it's only it's because the white racks are the same white stocks are the same winning percentage just tied for third play. Yeah, the Guardians have played more game than the White Sox would not bet on the ALL DNA NL this year in the All Star Game. I mean, the Barriers Bullpen it's it's really a big three e if yeah, like Munoy has' beens really good Ferrers a good lefty Bizardo's good and then Gabe Spire has had good moments this year. So like outside their underbelly of their bullpin the soft middle is not very good. That's what Cleveland was able to get to in this one. No, it's a Josh Simpson. Josh Simpson in that in a make or break situation and speaks to how and Michael, Michael Rucker. And the weird thing is Saturday, the only reliver they used was Jose Ferrer. Like they only used two pictures on Saturday. It was Logan Gilbert who went really deep into the game despite giving up four runs and they only used Jose Ferrer. So it's like he was the only guy I think not available. Everybody else didn't pitch Saturday. That was very I know we've got a lot of comments lately about Steven Bot's decisions, which, you know, I think are rightfully to question because because I guess like the Saturday game like I was texting you because I was at a wedding trying to keep up the game my phone. I was watching and Sean Armstrong was in us and then Hunter Gaddis had to come in and clean up his mess or I guess there was no mess to clean up because he gave a turn home to clear the bases and that was enough to pull them, but I was like, why don't I go to Gaddison in the first place? I guess it's just because they're trying to spread things out. Like use Armstrong on Saturday so they could use Gaddys on Sunday. And then they had to use Gaddis anyway and then Gaddis was unavailable Sunday and then Armstrong pitched on Sunday and he wasn't good again . But luckily they came back and had enough offense late in the game. So I don't know weird weekend overall. Yeah and the defense was not great on Sunday. Like you couldn't charge Roche with an error on the double play because he can't assume a double play, but he dropped the ball in the transfer and the air mail throw and then the cooper thing in left field like he did let a ball drop in front of him, which I'm not going to blame on the front office I'll stuck with that. I'm not going to blame the cooperating. We'll talk that in a little bit, but it's just important half his offense in there. Cooper had a great weekend. He had his first had his first hit. He had his first set of RBI. He had walks in this game ? Yeah, he walked I believe he walked. I think it was just yeah, he walked. Yeah, he had walked twice in this game . You know, Basana had a pretty rough day, but the lawyer had two hits, which was huge. He had two runs batted in key ones at the end . So it was really important to have him back and I gotta tell you man since that white socks series Clear Watson has been a ton of fun to watch. Like he had a huge hit. Was it Friday night? He had the only run driven, I think. It was off the wall in the field. Was that was that Friday? That feels right . Yeah, he had the only known RB I in Friday was that was that because they're all won nothing for a good junk Hamerson home run. Yeah. Yeah, and he smashed that ball opposite field off the wall . I mean, Watson, you know, we said, like, oh it's, been a struggle for him early on, but the dude has to start as ugly as you can literally as ugly as it could be but he relaxed. He's hitting the ball hard and the bat speeds incredible like this is this is an offense . he L'ikes going to have his , he's going to fit in well because Martinez has some high peaks and valleys and Shiman runs very hot and cold. I think Watson will probably be the same kind of player. But when he's hot, I think Clear Watson has a chance to be scorching hot and he could be a key part of this offense. And then you get a stabilizer like Cooperingo and then you get you get chase the law back. The rotations look pretty good. Like, you're in much better shape than you were. I know it's easy to talk about this through rose colored glasses when you win two or three, but you know , you're getting a couple of the kids playing well, the rotation looks great. The bullpen is not so great, but you know, two out of three is bad, Mate Love says, right? Yeah. Yeah, and the thing I'll say about Watson too, it's like he's always had great physical skills. I rated him the fourth rated player in his draft class because of those physical skills. In a lot of respects, if things are clicking right, he is what I think a lot of fans in our comments have thought Martinez could be just because like for sure. You know, when they talk about like, well, the traits can carry it , well this is a guy where I think the traits do have a chance to carry and always bring it up. I brought it up on Friday's show when I was talking about the buckets guys fall into and how there's like three archetypes pretty much in Savantata anymore. It's like he can be the Jesus Sanchez archetype. That can work. That can be effective. That's Au gu Henio Suarez. Like that's a hitter. Like that's what we can be. And you know, yeah, there's going to points where he gets eaten alive, but he has been a player of the game five games in a row right now and is really driving this offense . Yeah, Clea Watson, offensive savor. I'm not sure those words would have been coming out of my m outh in March or April. I would have been very confused. I also have been very confused if we set on March june twenty ninth that Cooper Ingles playing left field and Gavin Williams is your worst starter. But that is all happening right now . And that is what we're going to talk about next on today's Lock Dine Guardians. A big thank you to our friends at Amazon for this limited break. Want to thank everybody for making locked on Guardians your first listen tonight every day wherever you get podcasts while Jeff takes a quick break to go von it after some of that I don't have students till September, so I'm not I'm not even thinking about it. I got to worry about the draft before I got to go worry about this is true. Schools. This is true and back. Like we've only been off like two weeks, maybe three weeks a week . You know, it's let's see, it's no this, is the start of my third week. I basically have done the equivalent of Christmas break. I'm still at the beginning of summer. I don't care what the athlete's say . All right, all right, all right, good, good. I was appreciate them being here and I appreciate the sponsoring Gu Iys, very much care that they were here. Let me change it . It does not affect my enjoyment of my summer is what I'm saying . Yeah. Well, whether or not the Guardian's offense or its bullpen makes you want to vomit yourself , you can come and tou sge those fears or at least talk about them with the Everday Air Club that gets access to the private listener group chat on discord so you can talk about all those things with other Guardians fans, Jeff, myself, other listeners to the show , and any other locked on channel you could think of, there's a discord channel for it over there part of the Ever Dare Club and you can add free episodes of the show every single day on your audio platform. So go to lockdown gardens at Sperucast. com or check the link in your show notes for that . All right, so two things here. I wanted to say before that I'm not blaming Cooper Ingel for that catch in the first endning that he didn't make. I think when I looked it up earlier today, the hit that came to him in left field in the first setting that led to the first run of the game or was it the second inning? It was the second inning had like a one sixty expected batting average. Like anybody who's played left field for a couple of years would have caught that. But the reason not blame very far back and then it was hard. He didn't break well at all . No, he didn't. And he didn't know it's going to be a thing he's going to have to learn on the fly. Like this was like his ninth career game in the pros in left field. I know he did it Clemson, but it's been what four years since he was at Clemson. So that's a big gap and he hasn't done it in Cleveland like that was the first time field. How much were they? I mean, I know there's changes, but it's not like we can just throw out like I'm just not throwing I'm throwing it out right now because this was not their plan coming into the year. This was not Cooper 's plan. Should have always been the plan because they were never going to let him play catcher. I don't disagree with that. I don't agree with that. But I think given the circumstances of the injuries and the need for the bat , the front office made they made the right call. Like Google Bringle should be up here. They've needed him. He's looked good so far . Obviously, you know, left field is going to be work in progress, which is fine . But when you see plays like that where okay, he should have made that catch right now, that's the risk you have to live with and B that's more on the front office than it is Cooper Wingle because and the man the leadership because you have to turn to Cooper Wrinkle in left field. You have to , you know, use that option. You have to pull that trigger because you're having a I mean, the injuries are they are. Like that's that's not the front office's fault because injuries happen . You know, the on how one was fluky, the Jose one was flukey, chased the law. I'll even say the chase the law on flukey. I don't know . That's like maybe the most fluvie one in some regards. Yeah, it is. It is, even though he has still chased the law and we know how his history is, but he's also back playing through pain, which is another conversation we can have, Jeff. But if Cooper Arngle doesn't make a play in left field, like, I'm not blaming him right now. Like I would say if he doesn't make a play it is on the front office in leadership, but I'm also going to say like at the same time it's still the right decision to have him up here. It is a necessary risk to have Cooper Ingle and left field for the bat , but at the same time like you know, this is what happens when you don't build enough depth and you don't prepare Engl ahead of time, like you said, that's that's an avenue I haven't considered. You're absolutely right that maybe they should have planned all along for Cooper Ingel to play a little more alfield coming into the year. So he wouldn't be so new at it. Maybe he would have made that catch, but I can't fault him for that, but I also can't fault the front office for the fact that hey , they need the back, they need to chase the water back, and it worked out how it should have on Sunday. And that's what they're going to need to survive. So those are necessary risks you have to take right now . Yeah, I mean, I also get annoyed when the errors happen. Don't get me wrong or when you misplace a ball because that's still going to be hurting to see because it's just that situation . And I' alsoll say this. I think Cooper Ingel is going to be up through the All Star Break, but he's probably the first one who goes back down because of that lack of of flexibility. Let's say compared to like a Wattson who's been above average defender and right field from the moment they've called him up . So, you know, this is English chance to show up and it's harder for him now because let's be honest with Delauder back to lauder's probably going to only play DH for a while and you, know, I believe was his first game and go was the DH Like that was probably intentional for yeah. So it's like they knew that today was the day they're going to have to break him in the outfield and he's been fine . It's going to be interesting to watch like I was text ing with you today. Those pitches right on the edges, that's where teams are going to try to have him live and die because of the passive . Like it was you know, and those are hard pitches to do anything with. It's that situation where you can't even if you swing at him, what are you going to do with them? So , you know, he's he had the two walks. He had the big hit yesterday. It's been a nice debut for Cooper Engl ish you know, he's still got to learn outfield, but for me, like the big thing is again , they know like the value they place and maybe they would have been okay with Cooper Angle. Maybe he would have gotten opportunity if they could have gotten Bailey. I mean, Bo Nailer was not was an offensive first catcher, which is weird things to say now, but he was an offensive first catcher when he was called up. It's hard to believe and he got better at doing things. He was a very nonchalant catcher when he was in the miners. You know, we had a bit maddened by passballs and you know, he didn't have the best pop blocking. So like maybe there was a actual chance that Ingle was going to catch until they went out and got someone who's going to be their catcher for the next five years who had three huge challenges in Saturday's game. And again, I'm going to keep bringing this up since they draded for for Patrick Bailey and they've had two competent play callers because we've heard rumbles over the times that like Bone Nailer was not the best in sequencing. Well, now they got two guys who are excellent in sequenc ing. And it's no surprise that Cantilo and Siconey and Tanner and everyone's taking off except for Williams. I mean, in Messic because Mess's just been the same. Like it's hard to say took off. It doesn't matter who catches them. It doesn't matter. But I mean, they even tried to flip the script because you know, Gevin Williams had his best success with hedges. So they tried to set up and get hedges back with him today and it was still kind of a middle in game . But with the change to when they made When they made that trade, English should have been just primarily an outfielder from that moment on because then there was no way he was coming up for the last month he should have been playing outfield. Not nine games, every game for the last month should have been outfield . So yeah, I can kind of buy it before then. It would have been nice to at least get him a few reps out there in the past, but now, you know, he's up . It's going to be interesting because yeah and they're going to have to figure out like how they're going to get at b ats for everyone, who is the next one gone as players get activated. I know people are going to scream for RIS, but the problem right now is you just don't have infield options . So I know how to double in a homer on Sunday off of Mason Black Genesis Capre at two MBR. Nack has never been good enough to stick in the big leagues in spite of huge velocity. Yeah. Hey, yeah, you know, good st uff. I would not be opposed to him now like seeing him just because he's got a big arm and you know you can go back and listen to the last Monday show where we talked about the positive and the negatives and like why it's probably best for him to continue to get reps in A and get third base. Yeah. Yeah, at third base and the same thing too. Like, that's why you talked about like or they should have moved Engle to left field more of ten when the trade happened back in May , you could have because you had Bone Nailer down there at APA , you have Cody Huff, you have Dom Nunez still in triple A two and now with Ingle b, they're doing the smart thing and they traded Jones and then they DFA Valera who stuck around, but they don't have to be as beholden to Valera down there with an DFA or off the forty. Now Velasquez is playing more left , which is great. That's that's what you need to do. Get as much, you know, testing as you can out there see what you got . He had a home around Sunday too , by the way, and yeah, see what happens. But before everyone else seems he should be up, he's he's also still he's getting better, but he's still like not also like you can't like if you're going to have England Wattson, you can't have Ralphie up either unless you're, you know, kickin the kicking the bucket on on Reece Hoskins, which I would understand. Like I said, I can't be mad at. I would understand if Ralphie was destroying AA, Ralphie has been roughly league averaged this year in Triple A. Yeah, yeah. There's good there's ups and downs. His home run today came off the thing he goes, by the way. So a guy who hasn't seen the big leagues in what like four years, three years? Yeah, even well loved well loved all star teammate Anthony Goes, but great call of duty player right here and great duck hunter. I think that's what I'm told. I mean I still even after this weekend like one of my big internal debates when running out of time is was like would I trade Cold Emerson for Ralphie Velazquez because that was supposed to be the guy they wanted came up and on line Yeah they came off and on the broadcast and as crazy as it is even though Emerson have a good weekend even though Emerson's infiltrator I wouldn't because I still believe that much in Rafi's potential power wise. I know we got to come back from a break and we'll hear Justin's thoughts on would he trade those two straight up all right, we'll talk about that. We got somewhat the who is the worst worst starter in this rotation. Let's talk about the bullpen and we'll see if what kind of guardians rangers crossovers Jeff can come up with. So would I trade Ralphi Valasquez for Colt Emerson It's hard. Don't get me wrong. I don't think there's a wrong answer honestly. I think do the Mar haveiners the pick right in front? No, was that there was a few picks before? Yeah, that was the third baseman from Wake Forest Junior. No, he went a lot higher. Brock Wilkin went in the teens. Was it might have been right before them? It might have literally been one pickup so then Emerson Emerson or Wilkin went right in front of Alaska, right? It was it was Emerson. Wilkin was like sixty five seventeen. Okay . At the time, I was not very high in Emerson. He sounded a lot the Brian Rocchio's I was not guy . Yeah, he sounded like a lot of guys they already had like a guy who's up to middle player with great contact ability and it was like great. They've got so many of those. Now they don't have so many of those, which is it's just fine . They definitely need to rebuild that pipeline. But yeah, I think I would hold on to Ralphie even though that's the positional downgrade defensively . I think Arsen has seven home runs and thirty four games. So if you multiply he's on pace for a forty home run season sure that's going to hold up. Yeah, I'm sure that's sure that League will not adjust to him and he'll be the best rookie besides, you know, Nick Kurts, but no, I'm happy with Ralphie. I think it's all good there Basically it shows they couldn't have gone wrong either way because if you believe all the hype at the time Emerson was their guy when Emerson got taken one spot ahead of them. Instead, they fell back to Ralphie went to there was a lot of options and choices, but like that's to me you and I wanted Brock Wilkin . We did. That did not turn out great to be honest. I'll say this because you liked Ralphie. I was yes. I had the high man on Ralphie. I had Ralphie ahead of Emerson on my board . Yeah. I had Ralphie at twenty second where he was taken, right? twenty second, or was he twenty one? Whatever he was? Yeah, that's where you had. He was twenty third. So I had Ralphie twenty thir d on that . I like I knew of Ralphie and I was I was like I thought he was an interesting prospect, but I was nowhere near as I'm really happy with the Cardinals took Chase Davis. I didn't want Chase Davis. He was everybody liked him that year too and has not worked out very well either. So but then again people wanted Charlie Condon and that's not going great either kind of wanted that's the other guy was Yeah, he was he was never going to get there either. So no, I mean Waldrif was there. They passed on him. He was oh okay never been Valzquez and then Waldrif . He's been hurt a lot too so that's, you know , well much more than Mil Nesaylor was thirty nine just sixteen picks later. Everybody wanted Miles Naylor and apparently nobody likes the Nailers. The Guardians don't like Bow. Apparently the Austin Hedges was shouting during the game that Josh Daylor took a ball off the elbow, looked like he leaned into the pitch and then after the innings Austin Hedges was like apparently shouting nobody likes you or something. So some bad blood between Josh. So the Guardians no longer like Beau, the Guardian's play noer is longer like Josh and all the Guardians fans love Miles Naylor except for us apparently and Miles Josh is friends with the Savali. They can they can still hang out . Yes. And Miles Naylor might be the worst of the three. So might be the only undoubtedly undoubtedly. He's not at the time at the time was like, oh, he's going to be the best of the three and he might be going to make the major story. We were an eye at the time to give some background. We're like he,'s the worst of the three. He's got Bow's power and Josh's positional value. So it's like it was bad. It was bad. It was bad. You and I were both like he is not a first nor second round value. And what Jeff, what if I would have told you back in March that on june twenty eighth that Gavin Williams would be the Guardian's worst starting pitcher? How would you how would you have reacted to that? I would have assumed it would hurt or I would have assumed that things had gone really I don't know, like the other side is I guess I wouldn't have assumed that like everyone else was terrible. I would have been like, well I gu,ess all those underlying metrics I talked about in the off season of him like stranding everyone of him , you know, never allowing a base runner with a guy on that, you know, his walk rate. Like that a lot of his data was turned out unsustainable. Like he was over his head. He had a good second half. You know, he foster carmoned it for half a year . Yeah. I mean the month of June, Tanner Bye has been the Guardian's best starter by YRA Slate Zaconi has been second at one hundred and eighty eight, however, his fifth is four hundred and one, but we know Suconi is always going to run a high fifth because he just doesn't strike a lot of guys out. Mesic has been Messi. He's here is almost four and his fifth is three hundred and forty seven , but not even counting today's performance, what she said, like Gavin Williams , not all not all of Sunday was his fault because you know, in a inexperience in left field costum runed a and then Ryokio made two terrible plays that cost him extra pitches, but his ERA coming into Sunday in this month and four starts was six hundred sixty four with a five hundred seventy one fifth. I mean for the, season , Tanner Bobby's RA is now low. Remember when remember when Tanner's ERA was like really sky high and Gavin looked great and he was the ace and now Tanner's ERA is lower. I mean, Gavin's had some really dominant performances here. He know he, shot down the Dodgers earlier in the year. He's had he's had some what was it New York was a great start for him, I think . But since then it's been it's been a lot of struggles . I'm not really sure what the deal is there. It's back to being Gavin who throws a lot of pitches is inefficient doesn't always have command of both breaking balls . But right now like you know Messik your best starter who keeps leveling up Joey Cantilo is taking a huge step forward. I mean, remember when I acquired him in twenty twenty, I was obsessed with the potential of his curveball and now it's his best pitch . And then Saconey has turned things around ever since Patrick Bailey's arrival, by the way, for those who think that Patrick Bailey has been a terrible addition , it's really stabilized your starting rotation . But Gavin, but Gavin is now , you know, by all metrics your third or fourth fourth more starter in terms of a lot of sats. Like he has more innings than everybody else. He has more strikeouts, but his fit is middling, his ERA is middling. But the nice thing about that is, Jeff is that the guardians like if Gavin Williams, the way he's been pitching the last the Brewer's start wasn't so good, but as mad as I got about his start at Chicago last week , if his worst starts or five innings and two runs like or six innings and two runs, whatever. I'll take it. Like I know it's not what I want from him, but like if that's the worst you have on your staff right now , I will take that and that seems to be what they are. Like their rotation is what would I say Jeff fifth best in baseball right now? That sounds about . Yeah, I mean it's something it's something else right now. This rotation looks yeah, fifth best ERA in baseball after Sunday. You know, Gavin, we talked about today. It's like hit three pitches register over a hundred miles an hour, which is not really something we've seen with him consistently in the past. Like he did that in college. We haven't seen it as much in the miners. He had thirteen swings and misses . I think one of the things that's getting to him is when those swings and misses happen. I know he did I want to say ended like early on he had six strikeouts. We're trying to think if he ended up with more than that no ended up with six . He's not getting guys to kind of swing over on that final third strike. He's getting a lot of contact . And then also like again, let's be real honest, like Rocke's two bad plays and Cooper Inglewood and that took him, you know, he had gone six innings . It was still he still allowed a runner or two on every inning. It was not a dominant performance from him and I do think of late that he is your, you know, your third third or fourth starter. Slade's been great, but it still feels like a little bit of fool's gold. Like he'd still be the last guy. Yeah, it still feels like the last guy would go to in a playoff series, but honestly, it's like , you know, depending on who you're facing in the series, if they're really bad against Lefties, I might consider Cantillo over Williams. Like that's where it is right now for me . Yeah, no, I'm one hundred percent with you. Cantil has been unbelievable for them and Messi's been great. Tanner's been extremely reliable for the most of the season outside of what two starts . So although you know, things can go here or there. We really didn't even get it a bullpen. The bullpen right now is messy. Like Kade Smith is not consistent . Tim Harran is hard to trust as much as we like Tim Herrin on the show. He's very hard to trust has not been the same guy since he came back from injury So no , not at all. Armstrong has looked like Scott Barlow. Colin Holderman's even been a little bit shaky control wise recently . Yeah, I mean the bullpen the bullpen circle of trust right now is I don't know. I mean, I think it's Cay Smith still, but after that, like Hunter Gas was good on Saturday cleaning up Sean Armstrong's mess, but it's it's a very middleing bullpun. Like the last year the Guardians until September were were middling rotation in a great bullpen and now they're a great rotation in a middling bullpen . Andrew Walters is on the IL with an elbow issue, so who knows what's going to happen to him . I'm not going to say it's Tommy Johnson. I don't know that yet. And even if I did the team would probably yell at me. Yeah, even Franklin Gomez and Hai is on the injured list with an elbow issue. And then Daniel Spino, I think we can get into this more tomorrow, Jeff, because we haven't really had time, but Caspino is probably a guy who needs to go back to AAA just to get some more work . Frank Olamon should be up and we can dive more into Frank Ollamon tomorrow, Jeff. But I think Frank Oleman's got to be back in this Spullpen like yesterday . Give your comments on the bullpin if you have any and then before we get out here, I want to do a quick ranger's guardian thought experiment . Do you got anything on the bullpin? I don't know anything else just 'cause we're running a with only one act really strapped for time. So quick experiment.
