So you know, it felt different than the usual J just stand on shows where you're winning a lot of money why someone might be willing to like eat a Bg or a worm? Yeah If when it's a week long vacation and you get like a three week long vacation to earn the week long vacation, there's no reason to eat those disgusting little meal worormms. I kinda feel like there's pride on the line though. I feel like if I'm on a perfect match, I I want to win perfect match just because I just wantan to say that I wantna. I'm not like I'm not, you know, I'm not jazz to go on a vacation. I could probably get if I do like spawn con on my Instagram for like a day or like I think it's mostly like I could just say I won a reality show Yes, But I feel like you can not win a single compatibility challenge in st perfect man. I need T you take from the challenge to come on every challenge. like and a beautiful challenge here in Tulu, Mexico, likeike TJ the challenge every episode I mean ye, U they did have to ye, that besides the spicy fruit, they also ate the fried worms and U It's the cheese, the fresh cheese. buns. Yeah. So I mean, so kind of, you know, it was it was a fine challenge, but ultimately, Dave and Sophie win it They're so compatible. It's real Right. so they got their date. And it was like a It was it was Like I feel like it was validation towards Hey. I actually kind of like you because I don't feel like it was any, it didn't feel like there was a lack of chemistry. I also didn't see like longevity, but it was like Hey, we're vibing we can banter It's Australia to the UK is quite a long distance for a relationship. So there's a big barrier for them going the distance. R Th These moments always catch me off guard because there's so few and far between on this show. Like you have to have won a competatibility challenge going to date to really kind of talk about your true your real feelings. I was like, it's like she's like, I feel so safe with you. I'm like, oh, I's like, okay, that, that's like actual real, genuine emotion It can kind of come off as like ty relationship calories because it's like yeah Yeah, but this is the first time I'm hearing this from you and you've been together for like, you know, two weeks at this point. and this is the first time I feel like you're really being vulnerable and it does feel like it's because you're on this date that you're actually just saying these things that you may or may not even really mean. And these are both people from like true relationship shows, like we have a love as blind person and a mirror for sight person who' like they're used to this kind of rhetoric talking either to a wall or at an altar about how much they they they're willing to love each other, how safe they feel, how you know, they feel like they have a safe space. I can only be me when I'm with you So they use this kind of rhetoric, but it On a show like this where these moments happen so so infrequently, it doesn't feel earned to me Because it's almost the kind of thing where perfect match is less like let's fall in love and more like a drunken night out. And so it's kind of like If you tell someone you love them like at the bar the first night you meet them because you're drunk rather than genuine love and connection. Yeah. Well, And they can't help themselves, right? They can't They want us to see this as a show that is like, oh, we're just having fun flings and we're doing this that. But then they have to wedge in these moments of like, ooh, but something real could be forming here Like know that's not true. Well they just kind of wedge these moments in here where it doesn't feel earned or genuine. I don't know why, but it feels like anytime Dave like really starts to like someone It's just a knock at Mackenzie. Because even in this date, Sophie was like I've always felt like I've had to dim my sparkle and I don't have to do that with you. And he's like, yes I want someone who can show their full personality was b Kenzie when they went like they went together. He wass like, I like her. She seemed like a real person. He was like on board. M go. No, right. exactly. because he felt like she wasn't showing her full personality, he felt like she wasn't being her full self. And I just feel like we've continued to hear that with Dave and like That's the common denominator and And I'm like, Oh, poor McKenzie. That probably was her full personality. Y, exxactly. We have no evidence that she wasn't showing her full personality. You didn't like her that much. I mean, listen Mackenzie, who all of a sudden decided to wake up in the last possible second was like, oh, you are little feisty. You can't get a little messy Be that actually was one square game who' gonna remember a personal Squid game. But also I'm sorry, when she started piping up like that, I was like, maybe she should have kept that personality in. Well no, I get it because she was mad ' they took why here' Spotify. Like she's like, she' t away, you make me get my spotify taking away, I'm blowing your shit up like don't want to do. That is fair. I would be like When you are in Basically hotel jail for one of these shows, like you have Nothing. You have nothing at all And so, I mean, honestly, the fact that you have iPads, I'm like, y'all got games on there? ' at least that's something to do He was trapped in a hotel with an iPod shuffle What do you mean they had You got a device? Well, and a portable DVD play Uh yeah, it I thought yeah, that I mean, let's just talk about it. That was hilarious because The fact that I mean, I feel like Spotify is like a big luxury. like to have access to a whole music library, like that is I mean, obviously they're not trying to deprive them. but is there no way to shut that feature down? Like does anybody out there text on Spotify and understand? like o is that just available to everybody I mean, it is available to everybody. takeake away their internet access. putut them in offline mode. What do you mean? What They had they slay access to the internet on an iPad that whole time And I was so confused about what what is the policy here about like communication, phones? Like what can we do to shake anything up? And they're like, all right, we'll just bring in anyone we think weekend to that will' shake anything up. They're like, all right, your choices are Chris who could break up West and Kayla , who could break up D Mamaria, Marissa or who am I missing? Jimmy, who could break up Ali and Hashim. Those are ' Danny wasn't an option. No. That was. They're like no anything.'s good. leave him in the hotel T me ask to wash his hair before you coming back into the villa. W he did post about that. He said, I want to provide some clarity I'm not dirty I do wash my body I just don't use shampoo or conditioner in my hair. We all know that. wasas this has this been like the worst season though in your guys's mind I don't think so It was I mean, it was a fine watch. I didn't I didn't hate it. It wasn't like boring I think generally speaking, I like All of the seasonons about the same because they're all like about the like nothing has markedly changed in the production value or the casting or anything. I like that they have started speeding up the end game and like it was moving. I feel like earlier finales of this show were a lot slower Yeah, I just thought the casting was off to me in this one. I didn't feel like there were enough people mixing it up or Do anything interesting We didn't have like a. how many people do you want me to kiss? Yeah, it just there was no, it was kind of stagnant for some of it. where like there was no real mix up, there was no not a lot of movement Yeah the only drama we got was D Mario Maris the really And then some Allie and Jimmy, which is like There wasn't a lot going on. There wasn't enough people like wanting to make a splash into like, I mean, take the mixer, for example No one want to do anything in the mixer besides Dave. Like, you know, like in that aspect, I think the casting made have might have like S off I think a big part of that also is the format change to not choosing who goes on the date so the people coming in get to choose who they want to go on a date with. as much as They'll probably have a better chance of success with who they go on a date with if they pick them themselves. I think they the like feeling of a couple going into the boardroom and choosing someone who's in a couple at home to go on a date gives a little bit more opportunity to actually shake things up and also because Demar and Marissa won every compatibility challenge until the very last one when Sophie and Dave won it. It's like It was a little bit less topsy durby than previous seasons for that reason because they want because production wanted Be to come in And Marissa said ye. Well, that's why I don't understand. Like why wouldn't you just have Be in the first batch of people with Damari? But it just feels like if they're not on a dating show originally they don't really like Slash on this show. Like it You know, Nick didn't really do much. MackKenzie didn't really do much. They're not from conventional dating shows. They're not they're not used to that type of world. And I think that we kind of really saw that in play here And I did see, I think I saw was a clip of a Jimmy S on file files talking about how like if Nick had been able to tell everyone he won the million, he might, I think he quote said he would have had more swag Have you been able to share that he was a millionaire? Um I'm surproud they made him nuts not say that I guess I guess Oh, they didn't know what oral head we were gonna air. Should they go more of this route peopleople that aren't on reality shows O yeah, reality shows, shows. I more into Jers. Jimmy S does absolutely nothing for me personally, but I did see a lot on social media people responding well to him because he had a different vibe. but I those people are different. I think those people are wrong. I don't think you really brought anything. And then him and Allison just locked down and weren't willing to explore with anyone else That's boring like boring. She brought so much entertainment, so much laughter. I loved seeing her on this show And I would love to see her on honestly more shows. battle camp season two Is Battle camp coming back? I don't know, but if it is put her in. Hope so I liked Battle camp. I enjoyed Battle camp a lot. We need more shows with a random ass wheel Yes. And I think Battle camp allows them to be a little more free likeike if love does sprout, great, but that's not what we're here for. They don't feel pressured to do that. I think they their their original personality is going flourish so much more. There's like a competitive aspect to it. I don't know why we're we're capable of hor battle camp here, but I would love it to come back. It was fun. I loved Battle camp. I would be so happy for seeason two to come out I am Um, any of a our time This season hh perfect match come back for a season five?
