But there's just no way if I'm going to talk about something in totality, which I really didn't even at that point. It's a thirty minute show, which means it's twenty minutes with commercials and I'm sharing the stage with Jesse. It's not about me. It's really about him in the show How can I talk about it at its best in a quick amount of time? I mean, you executed it perfectly and I wouldn't expect anythingy la. Yeah. you did really well. and that was it was very eloquent. It was well said. and you did. excuse Jseie from the narrative, but it didn't need to be pointed out. Yeah. you apologizeed. It's really interesting that it seems like even in the preview, we're getting more from them than we got. and I think that that it all goes back to their dislike for Sierra. Yeah. I said before, but I thought their strategy was. but I now want to add to it before we get into the news That I think their strategy also was to not give Sierra anything. not give her any satisfaction. You know, like give her anything go off to further her like ability or anything like that. Yeah likeam moment. Yeah we We're not gonna to give you what you want. We're not going to give you all the answers. We're going to apologize, We're going to acknowledge it and that's it. Yeah. And that's why it seems like, oh, well one on one in a room with Kyle and Lindseay, you're more likely to speak a little bit more because the person that you hate for no reason other than her than pure jealousy and her being herself and not apologizing and backing down with who she is and how she's been wronged in this. There's really no there's no reason for you to dislike her in this way, but yet, they do. Well do you think It was West who like clearly has the resentment towards her and he then I don't know if we're going to get into the manipulation aspect of it, but like H resentment towards Sierra then seeped into Amanda. Or do you think she had her own issues with Sierra that she was jealous of? And they just like were too jealous but just sitting next to each other? And Yeah. I don't think that Amanda knows how to be a friend to anyone. And that's like slowly starting to come out I think that people have excused and coddled Amanda her whole life. I mean, even now and we can kind of tap into this because one of the things that In our Bravo News rundown today is that TMZ is reporting that West is not returning to Summerhouse I know I had my theory I'm not shocked that he's not returning, but I'm also looking at this as, okay, well this feels like an incomplete sentence. Yep. He's not returning to summer House. Does that mean he's coming on in the city Does that mean he's on Ozark vers Does that mean I forgot about that. There's another spinoff. Does that mean? what does that mean? Okay, cool, he's not coming to summer House. that's crosses one thing off. But there are a number of options. that could be play here. Yeah. And I think the TMZ article also said that he is likely to pop in on weekends. I said that. So if he's popping in on weekends, that does leave the door open for other shows because Katie Deluca popped in on some weekends. O in the city cast popped in on some weekends. so it's just badcumbing us to know that he's still in the Bravo sphere And seeing how we respond to it. Yes, which I think you and Kelly said this last week. I think that's a big part of the part four of the summer house Saga. u I just still don't I need or want to see Amanda and West on my screen, whatsoever. I don't know if I care enough to watch their love story play out. Maybe if it's to fizzle out. I don't even know if I'll find enjoyment and that. like I don't I don't Like watching these individuals like even in paparazzi photos, it just feels unnatural to me. And I don't want I don't want to watch it. I don't want to follow that story. Like I'm really just completely disinterested in it. Well also like We know these people And not that we can say that we trust them, but there is a level of trust of I'm at least buying into what you're presenting to me on television. Ofour course, I'm not going to say I know you and we're not friends, but I have to enjoy the show, I have to believe what you're giving me on television. And if I can't, I don't want to watch you. And I don't believe anything with Amanda. I almost would argue that Amanda wakes up a different person every day. Yeah. I mean, we watched ten seasons of her and when all of this happened and the reunion aired, like I left those three parts of the reunion being like, I thought I understood who this person was. I have no idea who this is. No idea. No idea. No ideaue. Yeah. And to continue on with this facade of who you are. yeah, I'm buying into. reality TV, we buy into these people and I hate calling them characters, but these characters on our TV screen because they're being authentically themselves Unless Amana is going go on a healing journey. I don't I don't want to see it. Yeah. No, right there with you. I don't want to see it. So you know, it what let me tell you what we need. Now, I am down for partart four because you've already teased it whatever it's coming out. But that Give me some time. Yeah. becausecause we know they start filming fourourth of July. and you know, there's going to be so many like TMZ and Dumois posts Bravos and cocktail and I just that I say, guysys just like us give us a couple of weeks. I do wonder, you know, West isn't getting a contract as a full time summer house roommate, whatever Does this then leave the door open for Sierra to still come back for a couple of weekends or full time likeike what do you think? I thinker are going to come back But not I always I thought that he would pop up on weekends and I thought that she would pop up on the opposite weekend.. So I still think that she's gonna pop up. I don't think that she's gonna be there every weekend. It's like having like part time custody of your child. L this is what this is show who gets the show in the divorce dividing the assets. Kyle's coming back to the summer House. There's no way he's not. So that's what I guess is like, so then is he on in the city? I think that maybe that was the original plan to this shit happen. Yeah. And they've got to save Summerhouse. Yeah I absolutely think Kyle is coming back. And I kind of want it. As I say, I want to see Kyle. And I think that plays into what Lindsey says about Wes manipulating Amanda because she's been ranting on threats, which I do like to see Um I We have I don't think she's being manipulated. I think this is Amanda. Amanda is a grown woman. She is making decisions for herself be it. Dumb. ye Naive, not naive. What am I doing? I'm falling into it. A mutual friend who spent a lot of time with Wes An Amandison statement came out, said they're really tense around each other and that since they returned from Italy, the relationship seems to be falling apart and wouldn't be surprised if a breakup was coming. Again, this is Dum Moasa, this is all hearsay, Guys The end isn near. I mean, yeah, and that would be great. Like But what yeah. and I just think like what does Amanda do from here Ges home hope. L there are some parents who literally let their children run them and will do everything they can. I don't know. L for all we know they are telling her something and's doing her thing. She. This is her. She is doing this all on her own All right And that's where I want her on her own. no cameras, no mics on an island. Okay, a couple of other things. Melania was arrested back a month ago, but we're just now getting this information. I think came out last week. She was arrested for domestic violence for domestic violence and charged with one count of simple assault Are those all the details that we have? They kept this shocking that they kept this underwrap as long as they did. Jersey rate? No, no, Milani. Oh Oh, oh shit. yeah, they are fil. And I think this happened while they were while she was at home So I think we will be seeing the follow. Oh, this isn't like a college thing. No, this was at home. You know, a lot of people have been concerned about Melania because her behavior on social media has been really erratic. Yeah. Like posting multiple times a day. and I'm not talking about the three times to build up your following. I'm talking about like ten times a day. Things seem to be incoherent. And there's been a lot of concern I feel I can talk about behavior. So then when I heard this, it's like I hope that They're building something around her to give her the help that she needs or tapping into. I hope so. going on. But when I saw the news, and I heard like her stuff doesn't pop up on my feed. So I went to TikTok to see like, what is the erratic behavior everyone's speaking of. And from the time in which this news story broke to when I looked, it was maybe like two or three windows, she had posted so many videos from her draft folder So I'm like, the news is out and you're just posting drafts from you on vac and just like weird stuff. And I'm like, why would she be doing this? How old is Melania? She's twenty. I don't think she's twenty one yet I to make assumptions. Just finish your first year of college, maybe. But we can acknowledge that the behavior is erratic And I really hope they get her some help because a lot of times as you know, adolescence in your brain is developing Yeah. a lot of times mental health issues onset in the twenties. Yeah. And so I I'm not I do not wish that upon her in any way. I just saying like, I hope I'm also saying that because It feels serious. Yeah notot just because it's a domestic violence charge. just like I remember seeing her social media behavior. I don't know if I read it and then looked or it popped up on my social media. It just feels serious. and so I'm saying that's more so to be sensitive to what's going on over here. Yeah. Obviously we want the best for her and, you know I hate to say that I'm curious as to what like Hatlet sparked it. I read something that had to do with her getting aggressive with one of her sisters and potentially with Louis. And I believe one of the sisters is the one that made the call and this is all hearsay, I'm not really sure A lot hasn't been said. I don't even know if there's a police report floating around. Um So yeah. so I hope she's okay. I hope the family does get her the hope she needs. but I do believe she was home she goes to school in Tampa. so I do believe this happened in New Jersey So she was like home for summer break or something like that and this happened. So And unfortunately, fortunately, we will probably see it on the show. Yeah, yeah. Yeah Not the storyline that we want to see. No Well, especially so much has happened with those girls, which probably also lends to this type of behavior as well. Right.. We will provide updates as we get them in, but I saw that last week and I was like, oh gosh. I was shocking. This was not what I was expecting. She' a mugshot.. I thought this was old news, but I guess it's The news is that Ralph and Drew have finalized their divorce Yes. because I think it was like I don't know, but it's done they were working out the judgment thening. So they're done, which I'm sure listen, I think Drew is having a great season on Atlanta. So onward and upward. Ag, when you leave like when you you know, you know, she'n't separated from Ralph It's like when you release that, maybe the dw we were getting was a dw. It was burdened by Ralph and her marriage and all that comes with it. I like what we're seeing right now Normally I feel like Drew's always lying. I don't feel like we're getting that this season at all. It doesn't feel like that in that way. Yeah, she has Kay Michelle as her adversary and like Kay iss not being that favorable of a man person. So like therefore it's making Drew look good, I think. Let me tell you something I don't know if you've heard me say this. and I don't know how much this is true about people. I'm usually up for it with anybody came sh you don't want that. When in this latest episode, I still to w. When not this episode last week. Oh When she told Drew, go sing some more national anthems and then left and rolled down her window and said, Oh say, can you see Andrew just had to sit there, I thought It's not even like the shady, it's just like the whole thing of it. So you know, Onward and upward, I'm sure I would not be shocked if in the near future some woman that Ralph is dating ends up as a friend of at an event or maybe even a housewife on Atlanta We've seen it before And I wouldn't be mad at it. But this cast is firing on all cylinders. So it's a really good season in Atlanta. It's so good. And shout out to Angela Oakley. It's so funny. and Charles Oakley, I said before I saw this Oh this game was in San Antonio. I bet Charles and Angela went to the game they can't go to Madison Square Garden. And then I started seeing it on social media. and I was like, I'm so happy that they were able to go. So when the Nick one and you know, they're cutting away to all like the leegends or whatever, when I saw Charles, I was yes, Jo then I saw Angel with herer glasses on looking great. I was like, my people are there. was so I was so happy for them. And then what did you think I'm in rooms that you're not in. You ain't in these rooms. I immediately thought aboutfagjer, but immediately I was like e here. And for the girlies that don't know the significance of why Charles being there is really important. It's because he has like an ongoing beef with the Nickx owner where the owner in twenty seventeen forcibly had him removed from Mazon Square Garden. He had got into it like a verbal art. Yes. And he had security take him out. Detained. Like it was a whole thing. Yeah ye. And it wildly disrespected for one of the greatest Nicks of all time. And so he has not been in the garden since that incident. He I think the ban has been lifted, but like he won't go back because D has not apologized to him whatsoever. Are you sure the bans? Because I read that there have been a number of like celebrities and former players that have like petition for him to be able to get back. and he's like, no. What I Googled it said that that he's welcome to come back, but Is it James Dolan? That's the name. James. James Dolan has not apologized and all Charles wants is a proper apology for the incident and he won't give it. So them clinching the game on the road in San Antonio was the only way he was going to be able to see the Kicks win a championship. We're gonna do all the things that I'm not going to say Andy Cohen didn't do that he couldn't do because you're because I understand as a host There's only so much you can do, you know? when things are taped for TV. Oh my gosh. And then we're gonna get into just, yeah, just it all. whatever you want to talk about as well. I'm here for it. We got a lot to talk about today. O Um That's a great question. I think I'm gonna go with Energetic Um, loving Um, I would say, I'm a little bit of empath, so empathetic. Okay. Yeah. What's your sign Im a cappp ofor I the double capalory Leo Moon I know that s said in shockw three. I felt it. Here's the thing. I have an earth sign as well.. I'm a double tourist. Okay.. So we're very earthy.'re very grounded. reason is because so Leo' you're rising. Y. becausecause Capricorns are usually not great communicators. You seem to be a very good communicator. And I'm not just from like what I watch this season and past seasons, I will say like this season for sure, but then also in your relationship, like the fact that y allall show together, just the dynamic that y'all have that we' able to watch, you just seem to like get it. Yeah as far as. And then before this, we were talking about how much of an ally you are. so. yeah.' why I was shocked ' becausecause I was like, wow, usually Capricorns have bad Tuma, you know? Noar about it. No seriously. No, for sure. I think growing up Um You know, I had a very interesting dynamic. like my mom was the leader in my household. Like she was the breadwinner. She was the one like if I'm asking, the final say so came from mom. Okay. And it's not because my dad wasn't present. My dad was very present, but we had an interesting relationship because he was battling with addiction. So for him, And he was very loving to us, D didn't treat us bad or anything, but he has his struggles. addictions, It's a disease. It's hard to beat. Through my experience with dealing with addiction and having a dad that had a tough time communicating, but my mom was really good at communicating. Like for me, that helped me become an ally see how women really lead this world and we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for women, specifically black women. And then having my dad be there in the way that the best way that he could, but then still like kind of having empty promises and like having a tough time expressing his love and who he was to me. made me want to be different You know what I mean? Like having that struggle and dealing with that helped me figure out. how I want to carry myself and how I want to go throughout life and then also how I want to have relationships particularly with the women in my life. So It was Challenging, but I think it made me who I am. I mean, that's a very grounded response. Do you do therapy? No, not. I have done. Okay. you have I have we all of and honor it. For sure. off. exactly. I think the EP signs, I feel like We are so grounded. so sometimes going to therapy is good and then you're like, o, I got it up for a little bit and And then I'm like I to spend the bl. I need to backy.use I' been in the year. R. But I told him, I wasn't coming because he said he wanted to talk about my relationship to man. He felt it was a little chaotic. I said, I'll see you in twenty twenty six. I have not yet. I've not yet. But I do understand like the back and forth.. Sometimes I think you just need to practice it For sure. And then, you know, maybe come back. I think practicing it and then also just having it I need to check in. You know I mean? I I need a little I need to pop in to get regrounded again and then I'm good to go for a little bit, but having that relationship and being willing to go, especially Is June Men's ment twel ofth month? I believe so. I think so. I know it' wass Pride Month and men's mental Health Month, I'm pretty sure. So to all those men specifically Go to therapy. Yeah. Do some love Because it's needed, it's okay. you're not alone Very great message and just to talk about it. I like love that we're starting to step into a space where you shouldn't be shamed or judged specifically men like the patriarchy that has put systems in place that have not allowed to feel like you can or it's not considered manly or it's not what you do. It's so beautiful when a man is in touch with his feelings and then is working on bettering himself and communicate that and then like finds his community and tribe of people to where he feels comfortable enough to express that as well. Yeah. Reality TV is not always necessary in pl to do that. Kowing who you are going in, which you seem to be that person does help you to be successful in my opinion and from my experience on reality TV. Listening to you talk about your dad though, it feels like you know, and maybe this is something you worked out in therapy. you have a lot of called yourself empathetic empathy for his struggles rather than what it feels like maybe anger or judgment. Can you talk a little bit about that? Oh for sure. Well, for the longest time, I did have a lot of anger. There was a lot of resentment. was the main thing that was feeling because I'm like Why couldn't you be this? Or why didn't you do this or you said that you would, you know what I mean?. And I think it took me growing up, probably by the time I got to college I was like, damn, like, I don't really need to have this kind of anguish and like disdain towards him because A, it's not helping me. It's not helping me heal selfishly, but also be He's still feeling that too, man. And at the end of the day, I think sometimes especially that transition because I'm there now in my late twenties, when you go from being a child to now we are peers and we're adults, you're like He's just the guy trying to figure it out too. Like you got to show him a little bit of grace, right? Like I don't think it's fair for me to sit here for some point of judgment and cast down on him and be like, oh well He could have did this, this or that. And so I was happy enough to be able to get to that point and he passed away five years ago So then I was happy that I was able to get through that before he passed away. Because I definitely now looking back on it, I would have been even more hurt trying to deal with that and not being able to get a response out of it. I'm really glad that you had that time, you know before he passed away and that you're able to reflect on it and you know Reize the beauty in all of that. That's again, I mean, this Capricorn, this double caprican. I am just shook. Now the Leo makes sense because you're on TV. Yes. It makes sense. It makes sense. Now I'm a taurist. Leo's a taist is It's not a thing. that? What's Julia? Um I believe she's a Pisces march twelfth is her birthday. Oh, yeah, you're hooked. Yeah Nxes are hypnotic. I say this, you fall into the water, you pretty much drown. ' like that. She's got like a Pis' dangerous, especially for us Earth signs. For sure. But like in a beautiful way. Experiences with Pis arere you speaking of an experience? No, I'm speaking from experience, in a beautiful. There's just something that's so captivated a Pis for sure. I'm not that's not a knock. I'm saying, oh yeah, like you're into you're sprong. Right. No, I am. Yeah. b. I love it though. It I'm having to. And we love Julia. Yeah, she's I mean. Thank you. Yeah is what I have to say. For sure. Do you think that I mean, she's in school, would she do reality TV full time? I think if the right opportunity presented itself, I definitely think she would. And at first, it's funny because she wanted nothing to do it.'s like I ain't got time for this. like this is not really my thing. And then going into the summer She filmed a lot with us. And then obviously, as things transpiire what's going on with the show and the other girl on my show, she was like Uhh I ain't going for this. L looved it. And I didn't even have to and that's the best part, specifically being in a rotional relationship, I didn't have to ask her It wasn't like hey, I need you to show it for me here because this is why. She already understood. That's hard to come by. truly. It's hard to find someone that is already understanding, but also sees where you're coming from then sees I'm feeling and how I'm dealing with it. And she's like, I'm stepping up to the plate because clearly nobody else is takeaking care of it but I'm gonna take care of business. Yeah. You could tell that you guys have had those conversations, which I think is really, really important. You know, we'll get into it, but it didn't feel like it was a memorized answer or something that was like, you know reciting some type of definition. It felt like it was heartfelt. and I will never know what it's like, but I love somebody who does. And that was really nice to watch. And in particular and we'll get into it too, of just interracial friendships and interracial conversations Now those are topics that are happening right now in the Bravo world. And so to see that, it was like, oh, Can everybody please take a page or a few pages out of her b? Right This is this is how it's done Um Where are you from originally? Is it Char? No, Columbia, South Carolina. So like, okay, but still the south. South. veryer much the south Now I to say this about Charleston. I want to know what it's like really living in Charleston. I went to Charleston a few years ago, first time.. Folly Beach in Charleston. and I did hit up Leva and I went to Bourb and bubles or to bubles and Bourb. Bourbon and buubbles. OkayK. You got it. I went there. Lovely. Had a great time Um But I've never, I'm from Texas. Okay And everyone's always like, Texas isn't the south. and I get highly offended when people say that. Yeah. You're right. You're right. It's not And I I'm saying that we don't have our own shit. Of course. that goes that happens out there. It is Texas. It's almost its own thing or southwest. When I went to Charleston, it's different. And I'm not saying I had a racist experience. It just felt. You kind of feel it. Southern. Yeah. I don't know if my ancestors are from there or something, but I energy. I felt it. And then I had this experience where and this was when I was married and I went with my family who not black. my ex in laws And we're on this tour. I don't know what tour it was And this woman says I'm the only black person on this small little bus. and she goes, Oh now right here We have so and so and this used to be this in town and it's something related to slavery. And she goes and up here, this is where they had the slave quarters. And these were known as the nicest slave quarters in town. And I said, I'm sorry. What? Nicest. Like I literally go out loud. What? And my sister in law just like turned to me and just like held my hand and I thought is what is happening here? Yeah. What is it like Really living in Charleston. Maybe that was my one off experience, but you get it feels southern. Okay I'm glad you asked actually. Charleston. is cool and I love it there I call her home And I wouldn't have it any other way. I love it there But Charleston has his flaws. Charleston has a deeply, deeply rooty history in slavery. I think about it's like seventy I can't remember the exact statistics. seventy to eighty percent of the slaves that came through in the transransatlantic slave trade came through Sullivan's Island, which is a part of Charleston. So maybe that's what you. Yes. because and it's sad. Because there's only one sign, I think showing that on the way to Slman's Island And It has a deep dark rooted history that's kind of been like glazed over. It's like, oh,'s this pretty city with all of you know these amazing artifacts and museums. And that's true. but too really like honor that history is hard to find in Charleston. And I think a lot of times people get caught up in the hospitality and the fun and the nightlife and the beaches and all of that is great. and it's a fun part of it. It's part of the reason why I like living there. But there's a reason why it's like that is the true deep south. and its came a long way. but is still very much the deep south and me growing up in Columbia, South Carolina It's a little bit different a different experience compared to Charleston, but it's still like South Carolina is who I am through and through. and people are like, well, why don't you you can go to Charlotte, you can go to Atlanta to like get more of a black experience around yourself with more black people, but like if I leave then who's going to be the first Like I'm not going pack up because I'm not as as welcomed as I would like. like wouldould I like to see more diversity? Yes, of course. I would love that But it's my job to like, I'm from here. I'm from South Carolina. I'm not leaving just because these people here, like I'm not moving my life around for y'all to make y'all more comfortable. No, it' I'm supposed to be here to be a beacon of light call other people here and be like, listen, this is our home just as much it is theirs. Yeah. Like I'm not I'm not leaving. No, I think that's a great perspective. I think like There's such southern pride, but we all have it for different reasons. R And I think it's great to be proud of where you're from. You know, Like I said, Texas got its own shit, but I love that I'm from Texas.. Lo being a Texan. It's how I lead with. I'm from Texas. They're like, which part Rachel and And I'm like, I just want to tell everybody a Texas. I just let yall know Yeah, so I think that's great. I think if you love it, that's why I'm like, I wonder what it's like, you know, to live there. And you do seem to enjoy it. And again, you're from South Carolina. And to be honest, a lot of people are flocking to the Carolinas. Yeah. I think it's the number one state that people are moving to in the country. Yeah, which is crazy. A lot. which is also great N be political, but for politics.. It's just great, you know? that' having a Texas too. Yeah. to be honest. Okay Let's get into some of this season. Talk to me. Now I'm going to tell you I was a slow burn into Southern hospitality. Okay. I didn't watch the first two seasons. I think I binged it. but Ar Cy Curry, who has her ear to the street who lives in North Carolina. Okay She's like, you have to get into this show. I can't remember what I was doing and I had the time and from the moment I pressed play, I was hooked I love I was hooked. And then of course, as a Bravo watcher, we hold you guys to the highest standard. We have such an insatiable appetite. We're just like are more, more more. So I thought there's no way they're going to keep giving it to us. And you do. And now here we are finishing season four. and I have to tell you like If you're not watching it, you should be. And if you are tell a friend to tell a friend ' it really is. and I'm having loved every moment. We're gonna talk about some frustrating things, which is how you and I connected. But I really enjoy the show. Okay good. Like Vanderpunpk Rules, then I was like, no, it's different. It's different though. I think that's P peopleople say Vanderampunpk Rules because it' the easiest comparison with all of us working at the same spot. But the show is completely different. Like L.A and Charlson Not the same thing at all. And you know, we didn't really grow up wanting to be actors or actresses. This is like our real life. That's a good point with our real friend group. Like I didn't have aspirations to end up on Broadway or be an actor You know, I was just living my life and it just so happened that, oh, I'm working part time at this club And then the show walks into the door and it's like I kind of got a roll with it. I'm not sayrazy justust crazy. Like As a person who's been on reality TV, like the moment you say yes and assuming you have more than one season, your whole world is changed upside down, like completely Ething. Uually in the best way, I think What do you do to check yourself in those moments that one day you're just doing your job building your business, shout out to body by Brad. That's right. We're gonna to get into that. because you're doing a summer fitness tour, which you want to hear all about. and I need some tips for the forty pllus women too. I got you. So we're gonna talk about that You're doing your thing, You're building your business on the side too, but now it's full out. it's not the side anymore Um, and then one day since they walk into your restaurant and tell you you're about to be a star. Yeah No, I mean Walking into for me, I was just a barbag. Like I was cleaning toilets. picking a poop like it's not fun at a nightclub at and Y'all, when we're in Charlson, we're talking a nightclub is kind of a stretch. We're not talking Vegas level nightclub. This is very much a beach Town small town, nightclub. I mean It's a little bit more ratchet though. It's It's a little ratcheted. Yeah, yeah yeah I don'tind it. Yeah's a little ratch. Yeah, it's not we're not expecting high level production here, but it's a cool nightclub, right? We can probably fit about three hundred people in there. It's really?es, it's pretty big. outs the Rublic. a patio yeah, you get a pull up. I got you. I got all the tips. But for me, I was really just working there part time to make some extra cash and hospitality really is the focal point of the city Like if you work at a bar or a club or a restaurant, you're your own celebrity in Charleston in your own right? Because people really like put that on a pedestal. Wow. They look at hospitality as like that's probably the number one industry outside of medical in the town because you either a NPo baby, you got a lot of money or you work in hospitality orr you have job in the medical field. you have a big medical college there Um, and When I was working there, I was making great relationships, having a good time and that was what got me to kick off Body byob Brad And then They walk in. they're like, hey, would you be interested in interviewing for A reality TV show, I'm like, You know what? sureure. Why not? What do I have to lose Now it's like a drug And now we're at four years in and going into our fifth season, it's like, wow what has happened in a short amount of time? Yeah, yeah. like it's not going down and we've seen that on other Bravo shows. It's definitely going up. Now with Southern Charm already being there, was there a crossover? Do you see the Southern Charm folks come into Republic or any of the other establishments? A little bit. yes. A trans with them? I mean, kind of att first when we first started the show to be honest with you, the Southern Charm, some of the Southern Charm people weren't really thrilled. Oh, they were scared, yeah. have a surround. Yeah. Which I thought was interesting because to me, like neither of the shows are the same. so it's like mutually beneficial. L likeike rising tide lifts all boats. Like we should all be good. everybody eats. It's not that. like it shouldn't be competitive, right? And now they're a little bit more warm and welcoming because we're kind of we got our footing, we got it figured out now And for us, I mean, initially, I didn't think that. We would even make it this far. I thought we' would be like a one and done like, it was cute. likeike we got one season, then we got the second And then we got the third. I'm like, oh, okay, like this is something that is really going stick And just watching it grow from where it used to be and figuring like finding your footing. that first season, which I'm happy we all came in together because doing the season one together Like we were all trying to figure it out. Nobody knows how any of this works and unless you've done reality TV, it's like You get it. You know, you see me. I see like I understand how it goes. I understand the loops you have to jump through the different different kind of holes and traps you get into. It's a lot different compared to don't know. any other regular job? Yeah. like it's w. Yeah. That's why the young kids want to be influencers, reality TV, all of that. It's actually remarkable that Charleston has two reality TV shows for it being the size that Yeah. Which says a lot about the city So I said before with this season when it ended that I was like, o, the friend group is one way and then watching the reunion, it's all over the place. So tell me now where do You guys stand as a group. Like who are you down with Who do you have an issue with? post post reunion. Reunion It's kind of a mixed bag For me personally The people that I'm closest to, Mia TJ Justin I've definitely want to talk about me. Molly, like those are my people. We hang out all the time. It's like a good, solid friend group. These are really I got genuine friends. I could call them at any point in time. they'd pick up right now. Okay. withithout any questions Um And then From there it kind of gets frayed. Like my relationship with Maddie and Joe is a lot different than it used to be, whichich is sad. And hopefully we're able to fix that. I want to rebound But you know, it was kind of tough Navigating this season and they really weren't there for me the way I wish they could have been. And I think that's part of the reason, partart of that, I'll take responsibility for part of that was my fault. But then On the other side of that. You know, I wish Mike I could have had more, especially from Joe. is going into season one, Joe was B my best friend on the show. Yeah yeah. And we were real tight. and now it's like I don't know, kind of touch and go like we haven'tg out one on one in a long time. Do you think that's because of his relationship with Maddie that you guys aren't as close as you were? I think it's partly because of his relationship with Maddie. and obviously me and Maddie have a very like fractured past, which we're trying to work towards getting to a better place. I'm confused. Please explain to me what the deal is. Okay, so going back, she's had this rumor you with somebody in the alley. Right What I feel like we don't what happened. Okay. She says it is happening, you said did not. orrect. So were you I'm about to lawyer you. Were you with a woman? Yeah? Yes. I was. She was not your girlfriend. Correct.. Were you guys intimate in the alley? No So no physical There's no physical anything. Okay Why did Maddie say that I think Matdie had an issue with me Well before then? Okay. becausecause I If my player days, I was messing around I was I was twenty four year old. Boy As you should twenty four What twenty four year old boy? What more can you expect? So a friend of Maddie's I was seeing kind of off and on I was very clear commommunication. Hey, this isn't going to be anything. I'm letting you know now before we get down the road and somebody gets their feelings hurt, I don't want that to happen. Right U, it didn't end well as you can imagine. And From there me and Maddie's relationship kind of took a turn because one thing about Mie R Reese, she going arrive her. Yes, she is loyal. She is loyal to the soil. Yeah call out, that is that's the truth. It is what it is. And I think Part of that was, you know, having an issue with me because her friend was very upset.. It's just fair. Okay, that's fair. So I get it. So why were you in the alley with this girl? Because I was off that night and we were walkinged so Republic is in between a music venue and then Republic's on King Street. There's an alley way in between where it's easier to shortcut and just like it's easier to walk through and walk around. So y'all were moving. weren' even still. No we weren't. Becauseuse in mind I had a totally different picture from it. So then why won't Maddie just say 'Ccauseuse I think that was a little frustrating in watching the reunion. It was like, you're like, that did not happen. And then she's like, I always tell the truth. I'm not. So why willon't she just say That didn't happen sure she own up to it. I don't know. I think she has a tough time U admitting when she's wrong One thing I've noticed about Maddie, she will call everyone else a liar. I'm a liar, me is a liar, Moll's a liar. Everybody's a liar. besides her. that's That's kind of weird to me, right? Like you can't blame everybody else. One thing about me, I'll admit when I'm wrong, I'll own it up to my shit. I'll stand on it. Like I make mistakes, I'm not perfect. I'm not saying that I'm perfect by You can't sit there and blame everyone else and say everyone else is lying when the one consistent thing is you're telling something that is a little off. Yeah, like with this thing. Yeah this with her saying Molly, she said that was a compulsive lie. She said Justin was lie likeike you're calling everyone else a liar. All right, but what's the one common denominator here? It feels like it's semantics with her. It's like if you don't repeat exactly how it happened or what she said, then she' then it's like Like even with the Molly situation you brought up, and she's like, well, I didn't say that and Molly's like, Well, you said this and the sentiment is the same, but the words aren't. So it gives her a little freedom. Freedom. It gives you a little leeway. who else seems to be that way Mia. Now here's the thing We love M. We love M. She's fant fantastic TV. She's great, right I was afraid when she wasn't working there anymore that there was going be no more Mia and we need Mia. Mia's great. However, Mia seems to have a funny relationship with the truth as well. She does. Okay as a friend. She does. Yes. We can love her and we can still admit that there's this over here. For sure. It seems like Mia is only cool with the people that, you know, you Molly, TJ But it just seems like The other people, I know that there was this whole thing, like they let things roll off. They're not as sensitive versus you. I don't know how I really feel about that. But like why is it that Mia can't Let me go back. Is me a girls girl. I actually hate that term. Okay, I was going to say, can you define that term for me You know? how would you There are certain words that people take them and run with them. Okay. First it was gaslighting. Oh my God, whichich is a word that was thrown out, which I was glad and he was like, that's not and I love Michael Sue hands down, but I was like, that is not gaslighting.asight Okay. Gaslighting. Narcissism. Yeah. And girls girl is right up there. That's a good top three Right, because my thing is also the thing speaks for itself. If I'm down for my girls, I don't need to be talking about how much of a girl's girl I am because it goes your actions're just there Right? Like Maddie, you said loyal to the soil. R. I don't need to call her girls girl. She's just loyal. just period So with Mia, I would say I'm not going to say she's a girl's girl. I know that was a thing that was thrown out there. but what they, I guess what they're saying is she She puts a guy word or Friendship or relationship over the girls is what I think that they're saying. Like she's more loyal to them or she's more understanding them than she is to the women. Do you think that to be the case? I don't think that. Okay. And the only reason I would say that I don't think that is because Mia barely has any guy friends She actually has majority women friends. I think the only guys that I would say that she consider close friends is maybe I could probably name them on one hand A couple guys off the show myself, TJ and Justin. But outside of that, she's like She's with the girls. She's always with the girls. always with the girls. Like the people that she rides with girls. Correct. Exactly. the people that she rides with are majority of girls. eighty five percent of the people that she hangs out with are all girls. Yeah. So like I don't know where the girls girl thing is coming from. I guess you know, maybe Some of the girls on the show wanted her to show up for them differently than she did And I could see why that would make them upset. But for them to say that me as a girls girl, I feel like Like the people that she rides with she rides with. And there's never been any like hesitation on that at all Can she ever Interesting relationship with the truth Yeah, sure. but yes. I mean, when she's called out with proof, she's like, okay, fine. Yeah. Okay.it a little bit with the semantics as well. Right. And I I'm wondering with Jordan, I think that was that was also a big topic. It's what got Lake all riled up. Yeah It's like, this is none of your business. What you need to be riled up with going to get later into like you' worried about the wrong thing don't deflect, okay Don't tell me what you got in this it. we know, okay but withith the Jordan situation in this season, it seems like You know, they went on a girls trip together and me I was like, well, we weren't really that close, which I kind of agree like I have gone on group trips and I wasn't as close with everyone. I'm there because one person organized. Absolutely. And if I don't know you that well, then Does that mean that everybody you've dated us? L I understood both sides. I could see how people see it both ways, but I didn't think it that was the thing to vilify. Mia over and I'm wondering what your thoughts were. Yeah, now I agree. I mean I was on a trip too, right? So Oh you were there too. Yes. It was a big group of us. It was like eight to ten of us. And the person that organized the trip had invited Jordan Mind you. I had never hung out with Jordan, like in that kind of setting, neeither did Mia I don't have her actually, I have a phone number. Mia doesn't even have her phone number. Like they were never tight like that. They were never. And like I said, Mia, she rides for the girls that she is with. She she was never with Jordan like that. They hung out in Vegas. That was the first time that they ever hung out. It was the first time they met. They didn't go to Vegas together as friends. Gotcha. So they've never been like friends like that. Okay. I think it was just easy to make the shoe fit because they wanted Jordan was upset I mean, she can't get upset with me, I like, You know, if you want to be mad at somebody,' be mad of the guy Yeah. Why did you make up a rumor about Trevor and Matdie. Okay. So going Going back to season one.. whenever the alley thing was presented Obviously, that wasn't true. I was hurt. Anyways, So moving into season two A couple of weeks before cameras picked up You know, I had a client that was already my client, not a paid actress. It's crazy. I wasstatic and comeome to find out later on Um A cameras went down. That wasn't tr. the making out part was not true. However Obviously his behavior is clear's caught in four K on a video. Like if that was my man or my girl and she's out with someone and they're grabbing on them wherever, that's cheating to me. Like that's inappropriate. That's not appropriate behavior at all for someone that is in a relationship So and he had a past of Chi Ting. So again, this was very easy to believe. Okay very easy for me to believe. Okay At that point, again, I didn't like Madie. So when you found out that it wasn't true, you just didn't say it. You let it keep going. I let it go. Okay. I didn't Be at this point, when I found out it wasn't true, she was already in a relationship with Joe withith Joe. And Joe knew that the making out had never happened Yes. Okay Okay, I mean, like because the next question I was going to say was is, you know, Joe knew and that's something that kind of came out. but it's like they were already together. I don't know how like I'm trying to play it on my head how Joes supposed to be like, oh, by the way, that was never true and I knew it. R It's kind of like, I don't think at that point she would have gone back to Trevor anyway. No. But the issue with her is that you knew it wasn't realing you let the rumor And I let it ride. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And that's what she was upset with me. whichich is valid. And again A accountability to apologize and like We kept going back to it. We kept going back to it. We had I think with Maddie She'll take the apology. and she'll accept it And then She'll rewatch it again or come up again and it gets her like upset again It's like a trigger for her whichich is understandable. Yeah. So it keeps getting brought back over and over again. But at this point it's like, now we're going into a new season, a new summer. This is now three years ago. got we got to let this thing go. Yeah, you know who's not talking about it? Joe Yeah. Joe should be making you a best man if they get married. Okay you are like the starting point at this point like this point. Yeah. I'm the I'm the like the center of the chaos. Yeah at this point from season one up until this point. But like because of this a butterfly effect. It really is. right? H you not That's Who knows? Who knows what would happen? You Is he even yearning after her from dayate one? we saw it. Yeah. saw And that that was real, realer than real. Yeah He was very, very serious about this J Jy said thank you, Wh who knows Maybe Joe would be in business with Leva if you had that. Who knows the butterflyect would be We don't. Now let me tell you what I do now. What you got Amy is a racist. Yes. And and again, I set this I say this because I know people are so afraid of that word. But as I explained on the podcast when I said it the first time, I didn't watch what happen and immediately label her as that. I watched What was happening over episode after episode. And then I got frustrated for you I felt so bad for you because We know what it's like of we're not held to the same standard. You have to Be a certain way. you have to be perfect. You have to show her grace You have to Say how you feel, but be so gentle with it because is she gonna to cry? How is she going to react? They're going to be more likely to believe her as a white woman than they are as you as a black man. And I watched you be so careful with your words and your actions. You forgave way quickly more quickly than I would have, but I understood why, like I don't want to talk about this anymore. Let's just move past it. and you tried to move past it, give her the benefit of the doubt And it walked and it came right back to you even like three times bigger than it was before. And that moment where you had to walk away from the camera and you have to go into your room, I just Like, I was like going to speak out for him because I know like he's in a much more complex situation. evenven though you were speaking out. you did not need me.. I want to give it you handled it beautifully. appreciate it. just felt like I am big sister. I know I've been in similar situations. I know that this is a job, coworkers, friendships that are involved. It is not as easy for him as it is for me. I don't know her. I don't want to know her. unless you want to come on this podcast and then I can call you your m. We saw her all the things. We saw like I don' only need to go over it. You lived it. We talked about it. But that reunion I don't know what you were expecting. You knew that You probably knew you were going to get a different side of her at that point Yeah. But When she gave her explanation, Of Her behavior that season, how How did you feelail You know, I At that point going into the reunion And this is haven't even said any I said this on the reunion, but they didn't put it in Tw weeks before we got to the reunion She had texted a mutual friend of ours and was talking about the season. obbviously she said it was difficult And she had mentioned that, you know, Brad and Julia have ruined my life. So going into the reunion My bandwidth for any of that, I'm like, no, you you're already saying that I ruined your life. That's how you feel. That's really how you feel. Yeah. You don't really you're saying I'm sorry because you're trying to save your job. You're not trying to say I'morry because you actually meant it. because if you meant it then you would have came to me and apologized to me. a long time ago. Off camera showed up on my doorstep flowers, the whole Shebang, like, you know, what I'm watching is disgusting. I hate it. And then we filmed a reunion kind of early this year. So this is before all the episodes had gotten out. So then going into I think it was like the eleventh or the twelfth episode, Michaels was showing the text that he was receiving from Emmy. I don't even know She went downstairs to the lobby to like call the cops, like, come on now no, no, no, no, you're not sorry at all. I do not want to hold that apology. Actually, I'd rather you don't apologize because you're not sorry. You're only apologizing because you got caught. You're not apologizing ' you actually mean it? Yeah. And I said this at the reunion. I thing is if I hurt my friend's feelings, regardless if I understand it or not I'm going to apologize. ' that's not the right thing to do. Yeah Maddie was upset season three at our reunion. I said I'm sorry, I said, I'm sorry again. said I'm sorry again and again and again. Like I'm going to apologize. that's the right thing to do. If you really try and and you want to save that friendship and you want to to move that friendship forward and you're going to do the right things. You're going to say I'm sorry and then follow it with actionable steps Yeah. You're not just going to sit up here and apologize on stage for clicks. Yeah. It was it was so obvious. L I knew she was going to come in And apologize. And I thought that you handled it so well. I thought that was so great when you're like, if you're a friend, this is just what you do, period. But instead, what we watched her do is gather people and try to convince people and lie about some of the things that happened which you brought up as well instead of saying like, my friend is hurt. and let me understand, right? Understanding is the key thing here Yeah Have you heard from Lucia? I have not heard from Lucia. Okay. which That's whole other thing. I had those thing. No yeah, we did everything, you know at our core, I think that you know, some things should overlooking things like how to thing with Lake, out of thing with Lucia, right? But I don't think Having a thing should impede right and wrong Right. Like I don't think that that should slow you down from reaching out. And honestly, I didn't know that they had that. So I'm watching in real time with everybody else I'm like Damn she didn't say nothing throughout this entirety at the time, and I've seen her since then. And she hasn't reached out whichich is tough and you know, she's going to do what she's got to do. I'm not going to sit her and cast judgment on her. My anger isn't with her. It's with Emy. So I don't I wish I would hear from her, but I don't expect to hear from her. Yeah. She probably feels stupid. Yeah. Be like she's sitting there ling. She got played too, to be honest with you? Yeah. Like she got fed one story that was not the real the real full story. Yeah. And I wish in that moment, maybe she had reached out and be like Hey just reaching out for confirmation, like I'm hearing this. you know, but I heard I hear it from Julia and I'm hearing it reverberations from other people in town Me and Lucia, there's no bad blood. Like we've hung out multiple times before all of this was happening before Emmy went and had that conversation with her So I was kind of shocked to not hear anything from her. Yeah But again, I didn't Like I don't like to put that weight of what I'm dealing with with someone else on to to them because they didn't do. like that's them That's very big of you to see it No way. And no, you're right, you're right. I just You know, I I thought God, I would have been so like you're not even on the season. in the one moment that you have is This woman using you to go against somebody another black person. Right. question about something that I wished I would have seen. and I put this on social media I wish it would have been ass and it could have been As and just in an air that Immy, as you brought up the text messages that we saw come out later when she said that she went down to the front desk When she had the conversation that Julia had to bring to you of talking about You with the going around town and talking at the hair salon and all of that kind of stuff I wish it would have been asked you, what do you think her purpose was? because This goes beyond He was recording me. Oh, he put a text message that said you're dead to me. She took actions both that time and even later to not just be disparaging that could have been very dangerous and harmful for you. So what do you think her intention and purpose was with doing that. I think I think our intention was to try and get people to feel bad for her I think our intention was to try with the front desk. With the front desk. I think she wanted people to feel with the front desk specifically. I think her intention was to try and get me in trouble in any sort of capacity. I think she was doing what she can to try in make herself feel better because she knew she got caught, running her mouth I think she was doing what she can to try and removeved me from the situation and whatever it took to try and make herself feel better. But I don't know I don't know, that's a good question. I haven't even like, I've thought about it, but notot in the context of like what was your goal here Like what was that like what did you want to get from that outcome I don't know And I wish I had a better answer than that, but I don't know because At the end of the involving other people is involving other people, involving the law enforcement is a whole notother. We're here and now you taking it up. Yeah.'s that's different. L for one I wanted her to answer that because that is like all that Bllshit, I'm sorry that she said at the reunion doesn't answer that question. And then I would like that question to be asked to Michaels, who I adore watching An Lake, who I sometimes refer to as Puddle because of that situation particular. I do like her. I'm just saying. J surrounding that situation. Yeah. It's a little shallow. It is very What how did you feel about Michaels and Lake Lake and their response to or lack of response to what Emmy was saying at the reunion and then their continued friendship with her because Michaels dealt with it personally, not to your level, but on his own as well. Yeah, no. I mean, when we are in the season, I will give it to Michaels. He was probably the number one male championing me throughout the entirety of that time standing by me throughout when it was happening live. And then as the show started to come out and we talked about it, the reunion didn't air Kind of got distant. I didn't understand why. I was confused You know, for me after him being there for me all season and being understanding and being like a good resource for me to like let it out You know, he's taking pictures with her at pilates and like, hang out with her.'m like or what is going on? Like you were just writing for me all season like Is that just for cameras or are you really like, are you with me? You know what I mean? And I was leaning on him throughout the season. so it was really hard for me to see now that They're tied in their friends and they're kicking it. but Since then, he and Lake have apologized to me. Okay good Multiple times which I deeply appreciate U I think her and Lake still have some sort of friendship I don't know what that looks like. I don't really ask. Like when I see Lake, I usually see Lake at work and You know, we just keep I don't really I don't like to talk about Yeah try not to give it any breath But Michaels I know he has distance on distance himself from her. Yeah which is good. And This is another piece I'm a curse. but it was another I've been cursing. No, was fine When I was talking because they chopped it a little weird. He a reunion? At one point, I was like, in YouT twobe referring to Lake Michaels, I'm If you think that she won't do this shit to you, you're fucking stupid You're stupid Like you both need to realize and I think that turn on a light in Michael's head, I know for sure. I can't really speak to Lake,. Me I was closer to Emmy than both of y'all were able.. So like, listen, if you think that this should won't happen to you You are sadly mistaken because it will and it can and For the fact that y'all are still They helped her understand, which is good But for me, my like bandwid for that is super small because what? we got I have a computer right here. It wasn't just changing the narrative in the friend group. you were bringing people outside of this friend group to do this. Does Emmy have black friends off outside of the show Yeah, answer to that. No. That's what I thought. And that says a lot. You know what I mean? I am not one of those black people who's like, oh, girl, we are tired. We're not gonna explain it to you. If you ask me, I'm going to I appreciate you wanting to understandine ask Guinely. Right? And then I'm like But I'm not going I'm not your encyclopedia. I'm not to tell you every single thing. I'm not Google for you. But I'm also not going to be like, girl, go, go do it. I'm going to say, okay, let me explain this to you. And I think that is it's how many times do you have to explain it to somebody before they get it? Oh no It's not that it's that this is affecting your reputation. People are you calling you a racist, which Obviously it's a very scary word. It can be very detrimental to your career, reputation, all of that. But what I want people to understand from what you went through with Emmy is that racism comes in different forms. Absolutely. And it doesn't have to be the N word or know symbols that you're wearing on yourself. It really can be in your actions and these preconceived notions that are placed on you I just kept wondering If Molly hadn't heard what she said, if you hadn't heard it and recording, recorded it What like what What would have happened? Right? What like and that was a question deferred probably to her story. Maybe. I don't know that' possible. but But that's what I kept thinking for you. Thank God, like you thought the gift was old girl coming and telling you about the Trevor Making out, The gift was that you were able to hear what she was saying about you and that Molly was too. that your room happen to be next to hers. Yeah, no that was that's a great point. That was a real gift. another point to that. It's funny. How all of the attention was brought on to me, but there were four other people there why are you focusing on me? Like I was the one that was getting torn apart. I was the one that, you know, you were the problem. I was the aggressor. I was all of these things There were four other people there. So like, why are we hyperf fixated on me And ' She's familiar with the dynamics of the South and what people are more likely to believe And I also wish what people would have push on a little bit is the lying. Like before we even got into her constant denial and continuing to spread rumors about you, that weren't true At the beginning, when confronted, like Molly was like, you're lying. That's not true. Actually, I heard that too. And I wish at the reunion, it would have said, you know, I joke about Mia's relationship with the truth. or Maddie playing with semantics, but Emmy's an outright liar. Yeah. So again, it goes to intention, what are you trying to accomplish with your lies and why are you directing them to me? It gets to the point where Grace is out the window. gignorance is out the window, you're left with a couple of things and it feels hateful Yeah. and it feels intentional. tared And it feel targeted and racist. And I hateated that you had to go through that this season. And I hate it that you had to sit there at the reunion and almost Almost feel it in a different way. Yeah. becausecause it was like, okay, well now you feel like you're presenting. And I bet Will was like, this is fucking up my shit too. Yeah, for sure. You know, I know be a lawyer. For for sure. I know he's sitting there in law school like, damn probably could date someone that doesn't have all this baggage right here sitting next to me, that's gonna to be a lawyer inststead, I have to deal with my fiance on TV Basically being blatantly racist. Y Yeah. day, week after week after week. Yes. And I am in a place where I am tired of tiptoeing around it. Yeah. It's like what I watched was racism. So that is what I'm gonna to call it to be. I'm not here to bully her. I'm not encouraging people to do that. I'm asking that she recognizes what her actions are and that you try to learn and be a better person from them. That's what we cannot tiptoe around it becausecause if I ca all her, what I felt like Lake and Michaels were doing at the reunion, then I'm excusing your behavior and I'm giving you twelve different chances to try to finally get it. Yeah. That's just not how we need to do. And I said at the reunion, I mean, it's a hard less for you to learn You needed to learn it. You needed to learn. And this is the only way that you were gonna to learn that. You handled it so well. So well T Do you think Ammy should be on the show? No. I don't think Amy should be on the show Personally, I don't see really what she's bringing to the show at this point other than utter chaos and it's one thing to have a villain. on the show. But like it gets to a certain point where it's like this isn't filling behavior. Like you're not Heath Ledger. this is You're just being monster or a racist and that's not doing anything for any ofs. because at the end of the day, like we're not actors. this are real life Yeah. and for me, personally, it will be hard for me to continue doing the show with her there because I don't feel safe to be myself that's a keyword. saf. Yeah. don' I feel comfortable, I don't feel safe. and There's no way that I could really operate and like do my thing and be me whichich is the whole point of being reality TV without having said that little birdie in the back of my head like, you know, I got to I got to be smart how I move. and I shouldn't have to think about being smart and what I say and what I do. I should just be Yeah. and that's the hard part. Yeah. And that's upsetting because You felt the freedom to do that before. for sure. And the fact that you can't be comfortable in your own workplace, in your friend group in your friend group. It' troubing I know that people are giving leva a hard time based on everything specifically when we posted on morally corrupt me calling Emmy a racist. and love has been in the comments. But what I do want to say And maybe this is me looking at it a different way. I appreciate because I know Leva is what an EP creator of the show that she's seen everything I appreciate that this is part this is a storyline and not taking away what you had to go through, you lived it. I would have actually hated for this to have been covered up completely and you still experienced it. I appreciate that there is a We are exposing somebody for who they are So you know, people have their opinions on it, either way, I even have mine, but what I do appreciate is that we are not covering up what I believe to be racism. For sure. And so will I'm going give I want to give Leva that. because I know that she's getting a lot of criticism. For sure. I think the conversation needed to be had because it actually happen, right? That's whole point is telling stories, truthful stories And I think that some people need to see it see this because the amount of people that have reached out to me have been like You know, I didn't really understand this going into it, but now watching how this plays out. I'm completely understanding what you're saying. I even learned something. I even had people that, you know, I'm loosely friends with reach out to me and be like, hey, you know, I know you personally And I have never really understood or experienced this, but how you're handling it and what I'm seeing play out taught me a bunch. And that's been one of like the best things that could come from this. Yeah. It' a real story. because the thing is, if you throw dirt on this and you try and cover it up, then I'm muzzled It gets pushed down And then Emmy is on another season and I have to be uncomfortable around her. Right And I'm sure that has happened a lot in just general period. So that's a very well said well said point. And I'm glad that like because I know you get negative stuff too, but you even said this on the reunion. Most of it has been positive. and I'm glad that You know, sometimes as frustrating as it is and we're tired of it, it is our place to you know, be that representative because so Most people don't. R Most people don't get the opportunity to be on TV to have this platform and you have to be responsible. It's not always fair, like you can't act a fool like she did.. How do you feel with Southern hospitality in the Bravo universe. Do you feel like with season four? because I felt like when y'all first came that maybe y'all weren't getting the respect. Yall were new. It's like how long will they last? Maybe people don't cozy up because they just don't know is it one and done? but now seeason four How do you feel like Southern hospitality and you in particular are in this Bravo universe? I feel like we're kind of finding our footing. When we were at Bravo Con, that was the first time that we had a full cast of Bravo Kan I had went two years ago and I think our season two was just coming out. It was only me, Matdie, Grace, Joe. There' a short list of us. but now we had our full cast there. We had our own panel, the panel was packed out. it was so much fun. So I think really like from the bravo world, we're starting to get a little bit more respect. We're like we're no longer the new kids on the block anymore. We're like seasoned. but we're not vets. I mean, these other shows, you got to think about a housewifees been around twenty years this year Yeah. fifteen, seventeen, however many years and then your summer house is ten years, Southern Charm, twelve years So we're not there yet, but I think goingo into season five, hopefully six seven, like these are the years where like we really kind of find our footing and stand tall on our own. And I'm excited to see it and watch it grow because There's still so much going on and so much to be told. Our relationships are ever evolving and what is going on in our lives ang E even from the reunion to now, stuff has already changed. So I think going into next season, hopefully we have a next season that we're able to showcase a lot more than what was going on this past season. this past season was heavy. It was needed, but it was heavy. But now I think going into season five it is time for a breath of fresh air and showing y'all what else we got. We got a lot more. A. You're on an upward trajectory. I would be shocked if there's no season five, truly. And I think that the viewers would be really upset because of the way you guys are moving Are you close with any other Bravo celebrities? Yes. so this funny, they actually said that I'm head to New York on Saturday. I'm doing a run club with Carl So me and Carl are going link up. We love Carl. Carl's good people. Really cool. I'm telling you like the arc that he's been through and I didn't watch all of Summer House. But from what I've heard The arc that Carl has been through is truly like incredible. He's made a complete one eighty and you know, he's been a really good shoulder to lean into and ask for advice and how to navigate everything. So I'm going to be running over there from softbar at his new spot. We're going to do a little run club on Saturday, so that'll be fun. Okay, last question about this because I want to end the way we started, but last question before we get to that is a topic I feel like a theme that has been in the Bravo universe as the latest kind of segues because we were talking about summerhouse are in a relationship interracial friendships and interracial relationships. Do you feel like your cast, specifically after this season, gets it Yeah, I think we do. We're younger compared to some of the other shows. So I think our age group, everyone's in their mid to late I guess Michaels like a little bit younger but mid late twenties. And all of us really like, we don't Just like us me being friends and the gay people on our show being friends like, U talking about their relationships, I don't like that's no different than me kicking it with my boys that are straight or my girlfriends, like our relationships aren't contingent on race or Like I don't look at TJ as my gay friend. That's just my friend. You know, He just happens to like dudes. And that's cool. Yeah. And like so we're all We're all there and understanding of that And truly, I do genuinely feel like Emmy was kind of that one outlier. and I think As the seasons went on, that kind of came to like came to fruition. Like me and Maddie have an interesting relationship, I would never question where Maddie's at when it comes to these types of issues. Yeah. Like I would know that she is understanding of what I'm going through and at least respects that. and we can come together on that Yeah. And I think our You know, I think we've kind of figured it out from that standpoint. Um And our significant others, everyone that does have a significant other is is there and sees out of eyes. So It's good. It's good. It's really hard to find something like that. and it's also hard to find something like that in the south.
