Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, their friends should be still on ice. So there's lots of reports out there. Bl Butake has been invited to the the wedding of year. I hit the phones, my sources say, they are not friends. They are not talking, they have not spoken, and she certainly has not received an invitation to the wedding. Now, what is confusing here and I think we've done a good job on this show explaining it is that big grotesque event at Madison Square Garden that they're having on july third . That's not a wedding. It's a celebration. They're going to get married before. So I'm told it's going to be a much smaller ceremony for real friends and family members and then they're going to have this massive party which is really turning almost into a concert. They're building a stage, it's going to be a thousand people. Could blade be at that, potentially, although my sources say she hasn't been invited to anything at the minute. Now Taylor Swift is arguably, I mean, she's a brilliant musician. I don't want to take anything away from that. Her talent is extraordinary, but she's also too the best marketing, public relations person in the business. She knows that if Blake comes to this wedding , instead of it being a love story, instead of this being the romance of the century, it's going to be the Blake lively story. We saw what Blake did at the Met Ball. She rocked up in that gown and stood on the steps and that's all anybody was talking about. If Blake turns up at this wedding, she'll look fabulous . It's going to change the narrative. Taylor is not giving away the biggest day of her life to Blake lively. Just not gonna happen. What are you hearing? No, of course not. But look, Blake said, Blake might show up at this little, you know, Taylor Swift concert, well, she'll announce a new album , she'll release a new song, you know, she'll make another billion dollars in a day. That's what Taylor does. But you know what's actually really crazy now this whole Blake lively thing? So you know, Ryan Reynolds, her husband. He owns that mint , you know, that mint mobile, whatever that thing is. Well, he does commercials for them. And he does these like commercials to where he acts sometimes a little like annoyed at the riders or the AI riders and I look at it and I just go , everything about, I'm like, wow, is he treated? It's changed too. Yeah, it's changed. It has changed, hasn't it? The damage that they've done to themselves as a couple. It's bad, isn't it? Once you point something out, you don't be famous. Once you see something in a friend. You see it all the time. Once it's pointed out to me it takes me a minute to notice because I'm such a narcissist. I don't look. I'm only looking at myself , but occasionally I might look up and if somebody points out Donnie has lovely hair, I'm like, Oh my goodness he doesn't you do have lovely hair. It's been nice. I was pointing out a nice quality. I could have pointed out many bad ones, but these are the naughty but nice show. And so you have great hair. I didn't really know that until some in fact you pointed it out. You were the person who you said I have great hair. I don't know for that every time I look at you now I do look at your hair . And so if you point something out, then it becomes very obvious and what we've not pointed this out. Blake and Blake and Ryan have done this to themselves. They have. They've pointed out that they're not that nice. Like we saw this initially we were Team Blake, I thought that just in Baldonia, how dare he, what a monster. What an awful awful and then slowly piece by piece. The evidence came out and it looked like he wasn't so bad and she was the problem and then Ryan was involved and then we saw their emails. Taylor is having no part of this also. Let's be honest. She had a little bit of a bachelorette party this weekend , Blake would have been at that. That's how you ease Blake back in. You don't just bring her out. She's not going to be there at the wedding. I know there are reports out there unless something really dramatically changes in the next few weeks and it won't, Blake lively is not going to be at that wedding, which brings us to our poll question of the day . Blake Lively and Taylor Swift they're still not friends. Despite what you're hearing, I know what you're hearing, their friendship is still on ice. Should Taylor inv ite Blake to the wedding? I think this is such an interesting question because when I got married, there were lots of questions about who should we invite? You have to invite your mom and your dad, hopefully you want to. You have to invite your brothers and sisters. Hopefully you want to. Do you invite your boss? Do you want work people there? Who should you invite ? Should you invite all your friends? You know, I'm a big believer. It's your day. There's no r ules. You do what you want, Darnu, if ever this happy day it comes for you. TikTok, TikTok . I'm going to be the blake lively at this whole time. Which I'm actually surprised that Savannah Guthrie was on today talking about it because I know lately when there's been things about her mom, she has kind of been MIA from today, but there's been a lot of new reports coming out about these new ransom notes and you know, there's conflicting ransom notes. Some of them are saying that she has passed. Others are saying that, you know, she is still around and wanting ransom and money. And you know, Savannah, you know, discussed it on the Today Show and I think that this is probably a really big step for her because she's trying to comprehend it in real life , but also do her job at the same time . And you know, she says, you know, they're in agony. And I can only imagine this is the thing where you watch I watch a lot of true crime and a lot of people are like , just tell us where the body is even. Like we just even if they are dead, people just want closure and that's that's what helps. You'd rather just not know is hard . It's really hard and Savannah this morning was such a hero. She has been soldiering through those shows, but these new reports were really loud. Last night it was on the nightly news. Everybody's talking about it. I was watching a different morning show this morning and they did the story. So if you're the boss of the Today Show, if you work at NBC , the Today Show's a news show and Savannah's a newsperson, she knows . And I imagine that morning meeting where they go over every subject. Don't think for one second st,uff is just brought up. It doesn't work like that. TV is scripted, maybe not completely, but there is a framework to every show. And the reason they have to have it is they need the photographs, the visuals so that in the control room they can make everything fit together. So this is on the schedule. It was on the schedule. We're going to talk about Savannah's mom. Savannah said, Okay, I know it's coming. Ask me some questions. I'd like to make a really brief statement about what I know is going on. And I thought the statement was great. She didn't confirm anything, she didn't comment on the news reports about the ransom notes. She didn't comment. Basically the news report is a ransom note. Shortly after the mom went missing after she was kidnapped, a ransom note said she's dead and Savannah saw that note. She's aware of that note. And if you look at the videos that she put out back then, fifty days ago, I think this was a while ago, the video she put out the day after that note was delivered to the family basically said that we have come to peace with knowing what happened. And if this is what's happened , so be it. But we still want our mom back, meaning the remains, meaning the body. She was great on the Today Show this morning. It is so heartbreaking. It's so difficult. There's no precedent for this. I might have taken the day off, I might have not come in today, but then am I avoiding the subjects? And when you are the news and you are on a news show , I think she's handling it so beautifully. Okay, moving along, Will Arnetto, I sort of like, he can be a little bit grumpy. He snapped at Jason Bateman, who I love for bringing up his ex Amy Pollar. So they have a podcast it's called Smartless Podcast Very Funny and they chitter chitter chatter away but there was a joke that Will did not like and what happened was J ason was asking about Amy. Amy and Will used to be married and he said, It's none of your effing business . Ooh , I hit the phones and there's been a little bit of tension between Will and his co host there Jason for a while . They're not the best friends. They work together. I think that's a bit of an illusion, isn't it? We see it on the Today Show. We see it on the North Tonight Show. Are we that close . Oh, you know, it's a why do TV people, why do people in media have to pretend that they're best friends? You have had more radio shows Donnie than I have had cooked dinners and every single show you've done , you've pretended you're cows. Best friend, you have to. You it's part of the game . Especially look, you put Will Arnett and Jason Bateman together. That's a podcast people are going to listen to. You put Jason Bateman with, you know, the third lead in that movie you never watched about the having a baby with Jennifer Aniston and now Kid is his co host. You don't really care that much , but you put the two of them together and you're like, oh , and you just assume they're friends. And they might talk right before the show and they might stop talking right after the show and that's okay . They're very different personalities too. So Will is sort of like a bit of an alphabet or Will can be quite tough. And Jason's a sweetheart, he's so laid back, he's so chill. So for Jason to make a j itoke, it was a joke about divorce . It wasn't anything bad about Amy Pollar. Jason loves Amy. Who doesn't love Amy Polar? But Will was a bit sensitive about it. Over sensitive , mind your Owen Effing business. Okay, moving along somebody, who is not minding their own business Brooklyn Beckham's wife revealing something maybe by accident, maybe on purpose. What do you think, what am I talking about? Well, the whole thing started because Java and Victoria were doing a Father's Day post and happened to include Brooklyn and Father's Day. Even if it happened happened. Papers was thinking it was an accident? Actually , what is sad? I mean, come on and Brooklyn 's very happy about it. So then no Nicola , who allegedly is the tricky one of this whole scenario and might be the reason why the family's not getting along is out there just posted away on the social media just cash just cash cash . And then what you see is you see a little artwork that's a little sexual nature. It's a little intimate, a little racy . Now come on . Look , I will give this to her. How embarrassing did I post a gorgeous picture of me looking fabulous and full hair and makeup? Do not because that's a private picture. How do they really embarrassed when they're picking their nose? That's when they get embarrassed. When the picture in the background looks too good. It put there deliberately moving along quickly before we get a break. This makes me a bit sad but I unlocked it. You remember him the Olympic swimmer who got in trouble? He was sort of like a bad boy. I kind of liked him. He was on dancer with the stars . Well, he has just dodged foreclosure on his home. So he owed about four thousand in unpaid fees and they threatened to escalate this into foreclosure procedures. Luckily he paid it off and now the story here though is that we think these celebrities have millions and millions of dollars. It's really difficult particularly for younger professionals , athletes. I know people who have been involved in professional sports and at the age of twenty five, they have to retire . It's over. Can you imagine that your life is too extreme? Your life's not over, but everything you've worked towards is. And when I say work towards, they have put years and years and years of effort and attention into this. To be an Olympic gymnast and an Olympic swimmer, you've got to put many, many hours in every day. And then when you reach twenty three, twenty four, twenty five Your body just can't do it any more Bruce used to date an Olympian, my Bruce before he was lucky enough to meet me . He dated an Olympian and he said it was really difficult. They were both young guys, but he said once this guy retired, retired in his twenties , it was so hard for him to figure out what he wanted to do next. And so there's something really kind of emotional about this. You think you're set for life. We see this a lot with the real housewives, don't worry or anyone on a reality show. Those people on summer camp, summer house, those people, thank you. Those people on the Vanderp ump shows they think at twenty scrounging for a dollar yeah, now they're scrounching for a dollar.
