Well, we got about ten minutes left and this weekend marks the first anniversary of Nintendo Switch two. It launched last year at IS and Live. It was crazy. We were playing Mario Car World, It was a blast. So I thought that we could just take a little bit of time and reflect on this first twelve months the Switch two had. Seth, what did you think of year one of Switch two I think Switch two is the best video game console of all time. Wow. Wow. It plays all your Switch games, which was already the best console of all time and now it plays new Nintendo Switch two games for today. And I love it and it's fast and it's fun and it sits in my house and I play it all the time way more than my other consoles. Yeah. B console of all time. Yeah pair, how much? So the hardware definitely exceeded my expectations. I actually think I had worries about the magnetic attachments, you know, I like Joycon. See my part of my collection and the case at the exit. That all pairs old stuff. But then I really like everything about the hardware. would I would give the first year of software a B, but only because I know how high a Nintendo can go. L we did not have a Tars of the Kingdom Breath of the Wild style mega game that really gets me excited. I love Donkey Kong. You know I think there are a lot of good games, but like lineu up wise, when the Zelda game is here, then it'll be an A for me. Yeah, how about you, Bron? What do you think you're one I love the Switch two so much. It is pretty much everything I wanted from Nintendo. When you and I got to play it for the first time at the Switch two preview event in New York City, I think we both knew that this thing was going to be really cool, but we weren't really sure how much it was going to take off in that first year, what was going to carry it. And then we started playing Mario Kart and Donkey Kong and then we later on we got Tomadachi life Wacopia and all these other great games that I just love my Switch two. I also love that I took my Switch one and I gave it to my kid. And I don't have worry about that anymore. So I'm like, this is mine. This is yours. Have a good one. Yeah. Jada. I think I'm right there with Pairar sps about the Ger being a V. Like there's some great games. Ive' playing all of them, got like hundreds of hours in each But thankfully this year is already looking great. I've got fireble We got fire emmblem on the way later this year. Star Fox is next week or in a couple of weeks. Yeah Yeahw weeks. Three weeks to Starfox.ree weeks, ye Yeah, it's gonna get there. This console is just going places and I think the sky's the limit. I mean, NSO online, like all the games we get to play, I just like fantastic offerings there Yeah Yeah, no, I love this swish too. I think it's been a great upgrade. You're right that we were a little worried. Like it's not normal for Nintendo to be like, we're gonna make something really powerful and more expensive than we've made. And so I think that just made us a little uneasy. but it turned out really well. it's been really successful. And I mean, Donkey Kong bananza is freaking amazing. You like Donkey Kong? Yeah. Yeah, she fair? Yeah Fananza Rules, Mario Kart World is great. We're playing it upstairs at Game with IGN and it's a ton of fun. Pokopia Popia. Yeah. It's my game of the ear so far. Yeah, that was just a huge, huge hit. And then yeah, Jada mentioned it, this year's looking pretty good Starfox. I played it a couple of weeks ago, and it's so good. I think you're all gonna to love the Starfox remake. It' I'm super. Stupidly excited for Starfox. actually went back and played through the N sixty four version on Switch and updated our age old strategy guide because I couldn't take it anymore. It's beautiful. G check it out. That game, I don't think it gets enough credit because it's so cleverly constructed with the different routes and the secrets, I cannot wait for people to actually discover it. Yeah know it still feels like very very modern. justust like each level has two different exits and you have to do some pretty secret stuff toll one. Yeah, and you have to do a lot of barrl rolls. And so I think it's going to be a big hit We're hoping for a Nintendo Direct this month. We don't know when that's gonna be. But let's do one round of impromptu Nintendo Direct predictions. Seth Macy, what do you want to see? What do I want to see or what do I What do you want to see? Just what do you want? I mean, what do I want to see? I want them to an open world legend of Zelda that's eight times bigger and will suuck me inside so I can live in that amazing world and never come back out again. Realistically, I don't think we're gonna see that. I do think I think we're getting I know this is everyone's gonna to disagree. I think we're going through three tomorrow. Okay.. All right Yeah, we'll see there. So normally I'm not the guy to say, give me a remake, but I am like with Starfox coming out. I'm like fully in that nostalgia trap Yeah. And the sort of the whispers in the wind of an Ocarina of timee remake, like I cannot wait. I cannot wait Please let it be realal and please let it be revealed in the next couple of days or weeks because I really want this. Do you guys know who reviewed Oarino of Time for IGM This guy right here. Yeah. Sider. Yeah How crazy is that? Maybe I have to come out of review or retirement. I've been replaying Odyssey recently and Super Mario three D World. And I just I love those games so much. And it's been since twenty seventeen was the last like actual three D Mario game. whichich is crazy. And yeah, it's time. We're ready. Donkey Kong had his time this year. That was awesome We're ready for three D Mario. I want to like make a bet because I don't think it's going to happen. You don't think so? No, not not this month. No, I don't so. That That's what we want. We are all waiting for the next Sash brothers. Soccer eyes done he got his Kirby racing game. Yeah start racing or not I'll start racing. I'm making air riders, but air riders But I want to see smmash. I want to see what Smash is gonna to look like Are there any characters left to do? I mean, we did a whole bracket on Beyond about third party characters. I'm sure that we could throw a few of them their way. Listen, you know what's awesome about Smash outside of that it's an awesome game series is that when they announce one, Smash characters show up in Nintendo Directs for like two years. Yeah. they'll just randomly you'll be watching all of a sudden King K Ru will punch through this TV and kick you in the neck and And he's like, I'm gonna to be in this geme and you're like, oh my Godd, you're here. It's great. It's the best and it makes people insane and it makes me so happy that it does that. So what do you think? brand new Smash Brros or Super Smash Brrosers ultimate Nintendo Switch T Edition with new characters. Oh I would hope to seeark. I'd hope it'd be a new one, but I'm pretty sure it's probably gonna be like like a Mario Kart deluxe kind of thing we got last Jet And they're just going to add more characters and more stages Yeah I think I think we could very well see oarne of Time remake at of Nintendo direct. And I also think Nintendo can't help themselves. They love showing the next three D elda way too early with a little five second clip of Link looking over some green hill. and I think we're going to get that. I think we're going to see like the Legend of Zelda switch to, whatever that is. And remin five seconds. Remember how cool those old teasas were, right? When they show Breath of the Wild, it was just the countryside and then you saw you know, Guardian running down path and tears of the kingdom, they teased us with your arm. Yes. You didn't know what that was. Like I could see them just showing just a little snippet of what that next game might be about. I hope it's flooded Hyrule. I want water back like in wind Waker. No. I know open world wind Waker would be cool Yeah. The whole game is a water level. That's it. Yeah great. Yeah. There's open world water top. It' be really slow.'ll be like Walking slowly through water the entire time. boots the whole way. Well, I didn't mention the water is only this high. Yeah you can't use boats. That's enough to use it It just be annoying. Yeah.. That'reat idea to. Game of the yearar. Popping wet socks all the time. It will be the wind waiter I think it's just so Zelda is always the most exciting thing to think about for Nintendo. And I think what's really cool is I love Mario Kart World I love Donkey Kong Bonanza, but we know from the developer interviews, these games started as Switch one games. they couldn't run on Switch one. So they moved development over to Switch two. And they're absolutely Switch two games. But with Zelda, we know the main team finished yearsars of the Kingdom and started something on Switch too. So like I think the next Zelda will probably be the best looking Nintendo game ever. I think it'll run amazing. I think it will like do things that they've never done before because of the hardware limitations in the past. I just think there's a ton of amazing opportunities. My dream is I want there to be like this inststant swap between a light world dark world where you don't need to go to a portal or to a giant chasm in the ground, but Link can just like do something and the world flips like on a dime. And I think that would be awesome. Yeah I think that's what they're going. I mean ye Now Yeah, we need it now, Logan. We need it now Yeah. Okay, we got like two minutes left on NVC. any final predictions. We were talking about Zelda, I really wantna remake of Legend is Zelda Oracle of Ages and know. Yes. R. Yeah.. I feel like people slept on those games Give it up, ye. ike do you think like Link's Awakening remake style like look I love the art direction they did for Link's Awakening and Echoes of wisdom and like taking that and putting it in the Oracle of Ages games. We just played Min of the Hollower. I don't play that game. Blame melame Hollower. Yes That is a game people are sleeping on That's one of my favorite games here easily. Me too. And ye it reminded me a lot of of the Oracle games. And so yeah, it makes me want to play those all over again. Yeah. The other one, I think Logan we're waiting for is to see what our friends behind Luigi's Mansion three are up to. Yeah That I see a Luigi has. Next level is an amazing development studio. If you haven't played Luigi's Mansion threeree, it is just Some of the most beautiful animations I've ever seen in a video game. And if they're makeaking Luig's Mansion four, I'm totally cool with it, but I would love to see them on something new too Yeah, I would too. My prediction is Luigi's Mansion four. Luigi's Mansion three sold so dang well. Like really well. Yeah. Yeah haanted crruise ship. That's my pitch for Luigi's manansion four.
