Final Thoughts and Upcoming Schedule

Hi folks Mark here Thursday night press and record on the audio for the Gimme twenty eight stream preview in the upcoming game week. There's a Friday deadline Um I'm still ill, so apologies in advance if there's a couple of coughs in here. I'll try and stay away from the microphone when doing so. Um Usual usual script, gonna tanker with my own team. Try to figure out what to do, get some opinion on that, and then answer questions and dilemmas from the chat. Also Yeah, we'll have a look at Cat and C, etc., for the weekend as well. I'm sure there'll be a couple of questions about chups as there always is. So While I am rambling. Uh about my team folks. Drop any questions you have, dilemmas you have in the chat. Any opinion, comments on my team, you know, players I don't have, players I do have that maybe I shouldn't have, um the floor is yours as always, so fill up the chats and I will see every Comment uh Phil says keep this one super short, Mark, don't make it worse. Yeah, I'll see how things go, but you know, try squeeze as much in as I can for twenty minutes, half an hour. But um slowly improving, slowly improving. Uh don't want to moan anymore. I feel I don't I don't like don't like moaning all the time, but this has been a particularly bad one. Two weeks. Probably two weeks tomorrow since I since I got ill in the first place. But on the main, hopefully. So Let's go to first of all my team on paper on the screen currently starting McGuire in hell over Timber and Munos. Now one of Timber or Munnows could be sold. Both of them could be sold. Obviously Nico O'Reilly's looking Like a cheat code at the moment, for Joe Van Dijk's looking good with the fixtures. Yeah, I've got Captain Bruno. is not gonna change. Midfield Bruno and Bueno Palmer Rice Rogers. That's That all seems okay. Even thalmer's way to Arsenal. Born off on the way to Liverpool, I don't really like that, but you all know by now that Yeah, Gerald Bone must have some dirt on me because he is in my team without fail every week, even when a wild card he survives. despite playing for a you know pretty pretty goal shy West Ham team. Bowing to Eka T is definitely on my mind because Liverpool have this really nice run of fixtures and I've got zero Liverpool assets. Uh elsewhere Tago up front is fine, a way to Burnley. Like I said, Timber Muno's Mani on the bench. Martinez in goal. Away Wolves and Rogers as well. So hopefully the two Villa guys perform better than they did last game week. So let me go transfer spage. I'll let you know what I'm kinda thinking. I'm not gonna make any transfers until Friday because I just don't know what I want to do yet. It literally could be anything from rolling the transfer to me. to to to making four transfers, I don't I haven't made a transfer for for about a month, aside from the wild card. uh say to someone earlier on WhatsApp, I might just use all four free transfers this week to feel it live again. Show. The team on the screen, the goalkeeper's fine. Born is a possible sale. As are timber and minnows because They've got a blank in 31. Muno's also likely to have a blank in 31. Crystal Palace are not very good. and their way to Manchester United this week. So as much as I love Munos, this palace team can't really be tr trusted. And they're not the Crystal Palace team. were at the start of the season. I forgot they're actually playing tonight. If someone could give me an update in the chat, what is the score. Um I think they're playing Mostar from Bosnia. Funny story, uh bit of a tangent quickly. I went to Mejigori. the holy place when I was young, about fifteen, and we took a day trip to Mostar. And I was wearing I was wearing a Dynamo Zagreb jersey which I bought on the trip. And little did I know that Mostar and Zagreb were not the best of friends, and three or four Bosnian guys surrounded me beside a river and made me remove my Dynamo Zagre Ebb jersey. That was pretty scary at fifteen years old, so That's my Mostar memories. Uh Dimitri says one nil Palace. Who scored, Dimitri? Um I don't even know what starting eleven was in that game. but obviously an important one for Palace that. So Back to the team, midfielders, Rogers is fine, al albeit you know, frustrating, he's someone you probably just gotta hold to benefit from his points. Rice I could sell as well, uh, tomorrow, but Again, it feels fine just to wait until game week thirty one itself to lose Deck and Race. He's you know he tucks along quite nicely. And bueno Bruno Work. Great options this week at home of the palace and Cole Palmer. Obviously you could sell them as well. A lot of people are selling their Chelsea assets. Uh, but Palmer is my deferential. He's been very good to me, so I think I'll just hold him. And if I'm only gonna have one Arsenal asset Defensively this week. Then I quite like playing Palmer against those who have double and triple arsenal defense. Uh La Croix has scored for Palace tonight, so That is him obviously back from injury and back on the score sheet. Yeah, so if you still have LaCroix, maybe that gives you a little bit of pause about selling them. But again, Fecture's not great for Palas. Palace are not great and they've got the blank. um there is a s you know, we still I need to keep saying it, there is a very small chance that Palace Man City uh goes back into Game E thirty one, but that is that is very unlikely at this stage. But we know Arsenal wills definitely will not play. Another option I could do here is I could sell Manae. And I could get someone like Raoul Jimenez. Or Calvert Lewin. But I think I'd rather sell Bowen for Ekitique. And then the front seven's pretty strong and just keep manning for now as the eighth attacker. So let me go to the watch list. Let me plug in what I'm thinking. And again, I'm not gonna spend too much time on this, folks, because I need to sleep on this and I need to think about it tomorrow. uh about what I'm gonna do. I I am away tomorrow but I will of course post my team. As soon as I make my transfers I'll I'll jump on the Patreon app and I will update the team there as always. But it might not be until, you know, an hour before the deadline because There's too many options when you've got four freeze. Two point six in the bank, loads of players I want. It's hard to decide, you know. how many transfers to make and then which players to bring in. But of course Gaming thirty one is on my mind because I've got triple arsenal, I've got Mani. And I got Moonose. So I do need do need to start, you know, moving away from some of those players. So if I'm to lose timber or minos I don't think it's an easy decision on which of those two players to lose, but I think the sensible play, if in doubt, just keep the Arsenal guy. So maybe it is minus With a heavy heart, maybe I let him go. He plays mine out away, Tottenham away leads it home. Nothing in there is easy. Um so Munos could go, maybe Timber could survive, and maybe I just bench Timber this week. The obvious two that everyone wants now are Virgil van Dijk and Nico O'Reilly. I really want O'Reilly. Really want O'Reilly said that on the podcast this week as well. Sounds sounds nice. Um obviously he doesn't play in thirty one. Und keine at the point where I don't really care. Because This is a season where I I'm not winning FPL. I'm not getting a top 50k. So maybe I play less conservatively than usual. Yeah, and and even Even saying that, you know, Nico O'Reilly playing in this role in three fixtures can outscore players who have four fixtures. And that includes Virgil van Dijk. Nico O'Reilly playing as a box crashing midfielder, away to Leeds, home to Forrest, away to West Ham. That could be thirty forty points. No, it probably won't be, but the chan you know, it's it's setting yourself up to get lucky. And I feel like O'Reilly's ceiling is higher than Van Dijk's, even though Van Dijk's been really good last couple of games. Probably as usual, every people to get clean sheets. And O'Reilly's attack and returns feel more sustainable because he's played out of possession. So O'Reilly is the one I want. It doesn't help with Gimmick 31. But I don't really care too much. You know, if I only had nine or ten for Gaming Thirty One I'll just take the hit that week and take a red arrow or take some hits and get to eleven players and I'm just you know 'em. I like just playing the gimmicks right in front of me. And I don't wanna I don't wanna miss out in points. Big points. Because of Trying to get eleven. eleven players out in game me thirty one. So Semen's in the same category. You know, I still I do not like weekends without S menu. Get no Righty and Sam Annual. probably would be overkill. But is it overkill if both players score loads of points over the next three game weeks? Then it's probably not. So O'Reilly is my first Got instinct. Just get 'em. Don't overthink it. I could I could get rid of Timber and get Van Dyke as well. So if I go trigger happy on the transfers this week. So Timber out for Van Dyke. That is me getting rid of two blankers in thirty one and them with one blanker and one non-blanker. So Van Dijk would come in for at least four game weeks. Yeah and maybe for the rest of the season, because obviously I don't have my wildcard anymore. So O'Reilly Van Dijk, I am very tempted to get both. Then up front EKTK is calling at me. He has been for a couple of days. I know he's blanked a lot recently, but I don't care about that because I didn't have him. I'm more concerned about what he's gonna do. against West Ham home wolves. Away, Tottenham home bright and away. That is tasty for a Liverpool striker. I love Jared Bowen. Place for West Ham. We're not as good. as a you know, when it comes to attack as Liverpool are. Liverpool have great fixtures, so it might be time for me to let go of Jared and attack the fixtures with a very good striker. And get Ek TK. That would be three transfers. So you see what my you see what my issue is this week? I could do nothing. And I could do everything. Um If I made those three And maybe I don't need to make the two defensive one, so let's just put Timber back in for a second. And let's just say it's two transfers. Let's say it is Moonos to O'Reilly. Bowen to Ekatike. What would my team look like then? It would be Martinez in goal. It would be O'Reilly. And maybe maybe then I bench the two Arsenal guys against Chelsea and hope that Cole Palmer is involved in the clean sheet wipeout. So I could go O'Reilly, McGuire, Hill. As a back three. Midfield five, Rice Rogers. in Bueno Palmer Bruno, up front Tiago Equitique. Still one free transfer available and maybe Death and Race could go as well. So I could look at You know um a lot of people are looking at new midfielders this week. Harry Wilson, Dangle, Ryan, Tabernier, who else? Alien Anderson I still think is a fantastic pick. Looks like he's having a good game in Europe tonight as well. Comments from Anderson yesterday, I think it was, basically saying under Pereira he's gonna He's got a bit more freedom, playing a bit further forward, wants to add goals to his game. He's already a great FPL pick, and he might be about to get even better. So I'm tempted to sell Deck and Rice. He came in for me on the wild card. I captained him in the double. I've done well. So what was it? Give me twenty four wild card. He got three points against Leeds. He then got five points against Sunderland. He got me fourteen, so twenty eight. as captain in the double and he got a four pointer against Tottenham. So it's honest work. But it's not explosive exciting work. And there's always when you own a deck in Rice on Elliot Anderson. Players like this stack at leads. There's always other more exciting options. Um Harry Wilson, I like a lot. Tottenham home, West Ham home, Forest Away, Burnley home. I wanna get Wilson as soon as possible. And I'm tempted to just do it this week, get rid of Rice, get Wilson. There's another There's another issue for thirty one sorted because Rice doesn't play and then Wilson has good factors before it and he has Burnley in the blank. Wilson I like a lot, Anderson I like a lot, Verts I'm a bit scared of now with the the back issue. Tavernier, I'd like to give him one more week to prove his fitness. Dango I s I do like a lot, but I prefer Wilson. Ryan I like as well, but again he's young, he's raw, he's very good, but I prefer Taverner for set pieces when he's fully fit, penalties, corners, etc. So yeah that's Let me just plug the Let me just plug these guys in. Um Do I make four transfers or do I make no transfers? Let me I want your thoughts in the chat, folks. Are they antibio uh are these anti antibiotics, can I even say it. Are they sending me cuckoo? Are they making me think about four transfers when I'm the most patient manager there is out there? Whatever they've given me is uh turned me into a bit of a maverick. So where is Virgil? Right. There is a possibility I make four transfers this week and just say F it. This is my season to be To be who I am not usually. Um I could do timber Uh Timbermunos, Rice, and Bowen out. Virgil, O'Reilly, Wilson. Ek T K and I mean all four of those players coming in sounds Really nice. What would that leave me looking like? So if I went down to zero transfers, this is giving me twenty eight, so twenty nine, thirty, thirty one. That would leave me Three more free transfers would be common. Before the blank. And at the moment, if I made those four moves, I would have let me just count these quickly, Martina is one. Virgil two, hell three. Maguire four, Wilson five, Roger six You know the guys, it's Palmer 9. Thiago ten, Equity T K eleven. So I would would that be me actually at eleven already for Think it would be unless I'm messing something obvious here. So the blankers there are O'Reilly, Gabrielle There's no palace. Mani would be on the bench. So yeah. If I use all four this week, my team I would be much happier with my team. I'd be excited about owning. Virgil, O'Reilly, Wilson, and Nekati K And I'd be well set up. For the blank already. And I would have Three more freeze on the way. Yeah, to deal with other stuff. Um I don't want to use a free hit in thirty one. I want to keep that for either the double, big double or the big blank. then triple captain I'll just use at some point. is definitely on my mind as well because there's there's four million in the bank here. If I made those four moves, there's four million in the bank. So Wilson could be Semenu, for example. for this run of three very nice fixtures for City. Yeah. Freddy's gonna be interesting, I'm gonna be busy focusing on real life. celebrate my wife's birthday. In the back of my mind I'm gonna be thinking Virgil, O'Reilly, Wilson, Samuel, Ekiteke, what the hell do I do? Um might need a beer too to help me help me finalise it tomorrow. I love that I said I wasn't gonna talk about my team for too long and I've thought about twenty five minutes. That's typical mark. So over to you folks. The chat is yours. Not much point doing that because there's four teams in here with blanks coming up. Um There's obviously a fixture swing now. Chelsea take a real nasty swing because Chelsea play Arsenal, Villa, Newcastle, Everton, Man City. So the next five is rough, and that's why people are selling Joe Pedro, Enzo, Chalaba, Sanchez. Makes a lot of sense. I should probably look at Sam Palmer, but Like Jar Bowen, he's one of my favourites and it's gonna take a lot for me to sell him. Fixers elsewhere. What else jumps out at me here? Uh Leeds play Man City next, but then they play Sunderland Palace Brentford, which is quite nice. So I do like Calvert Lewin as a cheap forward. Liverpool have those really nice games. I mentioned them already. The next five look fantastic. They're playing a big part in my thoughts now because I've got zero Liverpool. They've got the best fixtures, so makes sense to get one or two. Van Dijk Ekatiki is probably what I'm going to look at. Man City fixtures. Leeds Forest West Ham. Really good. I also have zero man city players, so I'm gonna get at least one, if not two this week. I need to give some menu more thoughts. Uh Man United play Palace Hall, Newcastle away, Villa Holmes, what's a little bit mixed, but the palace facture is obviously very good because they're playing tonight. Someone said their Minos started the game and he's still on the pitch. He's a monster anyway. He he is a fitness monster, so um he plays the weekend surely. Elsewhere, fixers before I get to the chats. Let me just sort about difficulty just for a second. see what it says. Yeah Liverpool top detector Filmer second so that's why I really like Harry Wilson. I like real Himenez. You know maybe when Gimic thirty one rolls around If I still have money in the bank, that's when I do money to Ral Himenez? If I had some menu in my eleven, for example. I could ban Smain that week and I could play Ralhimes. From the mani position. Yeah Brentford of good fextures that's why Tiago is a hold. He's a buy as well, if you're looking for a new striker, you know, Joe Pedro to Tiago, I can get behind that one. Uh what else? Valve got good fectures. I I mean it says good factures here, but they do have Chelsea My United in there, which are Uh and bottom of the ticker are Chelsea. Everton are next, bottom, forest not great, but Elliot Anderson is fixture proof. West Ham near the bottom of the ticker as well, so Maybe it is time for me to lose Jared Bowen. Where's town play? It's crazy how quick time goes. Time flies when you're having fun. Uh Bafana says do you think we see big rotations in midweek, especially for the teams still in the FA Cup? Uh Bafana's worried about Tumber. Sure he starts against Chelsea, but then likely benched against Brighton. Yeah, it is Trekky. We have the Skimy twenty eight to the weekend, gimme twenty nine midweek. And then FA Cup Weekend. So there's gonna be rotation and you know all teams will rotate to a certain extent, but Premier League always takes priority. So I don't think we can worry I don't think we need to worry too much. He's uh he's gonna he's gonna do damage against Arsenal. Hopefully it's damage in terms of scoring goals and not damage in his his groin even more. Uh, Dimitri says Bookies give Arsenal forty percent clean sheet chance this week. How many players How many players? four have a forty percent chance of returning. Yeah, it's a good way looking at it. Um If I keep Timber. I probably should play him. I guess that's kinda the takeaway there. You know, a forty percent clean sheet chance is pretty decent. But again y you'll know the way I'm playing the season and where my rank is. I'm I'm just trying to take things on. You know, I even I even considered selling Gabriel and Timber to get Virgil O'Reilly just to be different. and just to really go against the ch the Arsenal defensive owners. That is That is a a step step too far even for me at this stage. Uh Gabriel will survive for now. Uh Shane says is there more upside going for O'Reilly or Semeno? Probably equal um In terms of points potential and, you know, fifteen pointers, I say it's it's fairly equal because they're, you know, playing a similar part of the pitch and O'Reilly can get you know, Sumeno's obviously more likely to get goals, but O'Reilly can get the old clean sheet as well, maybe some Devcon. Although Sumeno's pretty good DevCon himself. Um Upside in terms of rank in many league it's O'Reilly though because S menu's m you know more highly owned. That's gonna change. Uh guy says get some Lucas original don you and you'll feel better in the time. I've had some Lucasade sport this week, which has been has which has been decent, but uh I'm just on uh Gozland the water. Nothing better. A T Scollary. Right, folks. Thirty minutes done.
