So, uh, what we've got today. Now, before we get into this bra cket, I think two press conferences since we last spoke, right? Yeah. We heard from Braden Man. Okay. Um, who talked about actually big news with Braden Man. He had uh him and his wife had a daughter a week ago. Oh uh so it's been an eventful few weeks for Braden Man. Congratulations. Um, probably add some significance to signing a four-year contract, which uh he spoke about. You know, the fact that Beagles wanted him, you know, wanted him to sign long term really meant a lot to him. And then we also heard from Damian Pierce, uh, who says that, you know, he's he's he was um refreshingly honest about like the injuries that he's had to go through, uh, but still believing that he is the same player he was. Um there was a confidence that he expressed uh in being able to return to that that form. And I I enjoyed his personality in that um there were questions about, you know, how he fit into the Eagles room, why he would sign with the Eagles with Saquon Barkley already as you know the main fixture in the in the backfield. And he talked about wanting to like play with a player like Saquon Barkley. And he really like um deflected the notion that him and Tank Bigsby are similar in running style. Okay, which I think most people who watch them, those two would agree that they do have a similar running style, but I think he feels like he has to earn that that label. So the way his name is spelled Dame on. I I say Damien. I mean it's it is Damien, I believe. Yeah. The way it's spelled is a little bit different. Who when you think of Dame in terms of the like the British thing for women, who comes to mind for you? Um, nobody. Oh, Dame Judy Dench all day long. Yeah. Where my Judy Dench heads at? I mean you you go you go Dame, I'm going Judy Dench before you even finish saying it, you know Judy Dench. Okay. I've seen I've seen some of these movies. And when you hear Dame, you go Judy Dentch. I go Lill ard. Dame Lillard, right? Why don't I know any Dames? Okay. You're you're you're a cool hip basketball fan, Lindsay , but I'm talking about in that usage. I would never think of that usage.ybe because maybe there's a Helen Mirren fan, but I feel like you're I hear Dame. I'm going Judy Dent all day long. Yeah, I don't know why I don't know any Dames. Um, I know a lot of like the Sirs, like so Sir David Beckham, members of the British Empire, Marcus Rashford, but these are mostly soccer-related, as you can tell. Um British women, uh, the woman who play ed Queen Elizabeth in the Crown, I don't know her name. Claire Foy? Sure. Is that right? Yeah. They're a couple different seasons, right? Yeah, I believe that is corre ct. So. Um Um I thought you were gonna ask me about like my favorite Dam on. I don't know why, but and I would have said I have two. Damon Waynes. Damon Targar yen Come on. What do you mean? Um, there is also, and this is really bad for me. Um my dad had a a kid, well, he was uh a man who played high school football for him? He's an unbelievable running back. And he went to Florida. But like I was so young that I only know his first name. I can't remember his last n ame. Okay. Like he was a really good player. So somebody in the chat will know him. He played for Narson High School. He went to Florida. He went by Bud in college. I cannot for the life of me remember his last name. Let's get into it. Let's start with the big takeaway presented by our friends at Xfinity. What we have today. We have 64 potential outcomes for the Eagles next season that are varying degrees of unlikely. We're gonna crown a winner here. And let's just take a look at the big bracket that Lindsay has put together. Fantastic stuff. Lot of blood, sweat, and tears went into this. Look at that beautiful stu ff. Happy March Madness to you all. Now let's zero in. We're gonna go with this first matchup for our big takeaway because this is a fun one. Two players who we have talked quite a bit about and, two players who have some real upside this season. So we're gonna go, we're gonna start with the first matchup. Jalex Hunt leads the Eagles in sac ks versus Devontae Smith leads the Eagles in receiving. This is a good matchup. We have talked about Jalex Hunt's season as a pass rusher last year, very underrated. You know, one of the very few players over the past five years or so who hit the quarterback as often as he did, rushing the passer as often as he did in like some really elite company. And for guys who to do that in the set first or second year of their career, it's an even smaller group. And I think right now there's no obvious person who is definitely gonna beat him out in sacks. Yeah. Then you go to Devontae Smith and and I think the unsaid thing here is very clearly if AJ Brown moves on, we all expect that Devontae Smith will lead the Eagles in receiving. Yes. Which one of these two do you think is more likely? I might surprise you. I'm going with Devontae Smith leading the Eagles in receiving. Okay. Because I think even if AJ Brown is a part of this receiving core, there's still a chance that Devontae Smith can lead the Eagles in receiving next year. I think his volume will be higher. I think there's a chance that even if AJ's back, you could see a little bit more of a fluctuation toward Devontae as the volume receiver over AJ, who can be more of a um, I mean, I I would I would say that AJ's probably always going to be more than just, you know, a few explosive plays, get the ball in his hands type of player, obviously. But I do think that Devontae might be like a rhythm player in the offense with Sean Manion as the as the play caller. So I think there's at least still a pathway toward him leading the team in receiving with AJ here. And then yes, if they trade AJ, Devontae is almost certainly going to lead them in receiving. Yeah. And I also think I I don't necessarily agree that if they both played 17 games, there's a a likelihood that Devontae would beat out AJ Brown. I didn't go that far. But there is obviously a path if AJ misses time. Sure. For Devontae to get there. But we also have talk we talked about last season. I do I do think that it makes sense if they're both back for Devante to be sort of the focal point of the passing game. Yeah. And he's the guy, he's the chess piece that you're moving around, all chess pieces move aro und. And AJ is your is your your sort of big play guy. I think that's possible. I wouldn't bet on it if the two of them are both here. Um now I also think I if if you had to ask me right now who's gonna lead the Eagles and Sacks next year, I probably would say Jalex Hunt. Um but that could change the other way. Where they could add somebody to that room. Correct. That is the the Jalen Phillips of twenty twenty six. Correct. Yeah. Um I I could go either way on this one. Yeah, it's a this is a good first matchup. I'm glad you picked this one at the top because when you start when you started to present the argument, I'm thinking like, yeah, Jelix Hunt probably does have a clear pathway. But I don't know. Are we underselling Nolan Smith as a possibility to lead the team in sacks next year? No, I think that's that's possible. I mean there,'s like a tiny percent chance that Arnold Ebbicady leads the Eagles and sacks next year. I'd say like I'd put Arnold Ebbicady leading the Eagles and sacks way above like Darius Cooper having more receiving yards than Devontae Smith. Probab ly I think if you're thinking of um the ceiling for this te am you can loop Nolan in here as well. But I think Nolan and Jale x and Devontae are like the ceiling right the good players who you could see ascending to like elite levels that would really help the te am become better than maybe it looks on paper. Yep, I agree. They're like the TNT on the roof, right? Like you know, they can kind of blow the ceiling off this team. Okay. In a good way. Yeah. I'll take that. Yeah. Uh and now I'm curious who were like the floor like sinkers. Probably like Landed Dickerson, Pam Jergens. Yeah. Goddard. Like if you know, the the wheels fall off there. Yeah. AJ Willek Willen like he has to just be better than a Dory Jackson for that defense to to tread water at least. Yeah. Yeah, I think I think AJ is probably one too that we should we should talk about. I mean if he falls off a cliff, that's definitely a floor sinker. But anyway, that's not a thing here. Get it in your mind. We're gonna count to three. We're both gonna say which one. Now we're voting for which one we think is more likely . Yeah. All right. Three, two, one. Devontae. Oh. Surprised myself a little bit. But I'm pricing in, I'm pricing in the AJ Brown leaves. I am so surprised. I thought I was and I was ready to cede this one to you. Think you know me. Yeah. You know what? That is true. We do a show together every day, and sometimes you still really do surprise me. All right, let's close the big takeaway presented by Xfinity and Devontae Smith moves on to the second round. All right, let's go to the next matchup here. Really quick, shout out to Christopher W again in the chat. It was Damon Carroll. And he went he went by Bud Carroll in college. I mean, this guy was like my hero growing up. I that's why I'm surprised I didn't remember his last name. But you don't I didn't by his last name. I knew him as Damon. Okay, that's fair. He was like the kid that would like uh like come over for dinner. Like he was like coaches favorite player. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Uh now by the way, this is this is my region. So just just so that's out there. Yes. We understand that. Let's go to the second matchup in my region, which is after the season, Sean Mannion is hired as a head coach, and he's going up against after the season or during the season, Nick Siriani is fired. Um, I had something similar in my region as well, at least for Sean Mannion. Um so I'm trying to think of the pathways here. Sean Manion becomes a head coach because the Eagles are so amazing, and then next year I keeps his job . But Sean Manion could also become a head coach if the Eagles struggle. I do think that there is like Oh, I would be surprised. I think there there is a s like a sliver of a pathway for the offense to be good. I guess yeah, if the offense is good. Maybe it's like uh you know the dirt cutter situation where it's like they want to keep Sean Manning in the building. I tend to agree with you though that's not really likely. So really I'm just predicting do I think the Eagles offense is going to be good or not? And as a result, do I think the Eagles are going to be good or not? Mm-hm m. I'm taking Sean Mionann . Becomes the head coach. Okay. No, now I'm now I'm realizing the the possibility that they could be good and he's tough. He gets Davis Webb. You know, like he spends another year as the offensive coordinator. Yeah . Ooh. I I don't think this is nice, but I think I think I think it's a slightly more likely thing that that Nick doesn't make it thro ugh. I would say so, but what I would say is that it's more about I feel like there is a chance that the Eagles are a top 10 offense in the league and that Sean Mannion gets a lot of head coaching buzz, but isn't it's not his cycle. You know, they say, okay, next next year is really going to be important for him. Maybe he does the Ben Johnson. Maybe he waits and he's selective about his opportunity. So it's more about me thinking it might take Sean Manning a year, long a year longer to become a head coach than we expect. It's more about that than me thinking the Eagles are gonna tank or you know implode and that Nick Siriani's gonna get fi red. So which one are we going for? I think we have to go Nick's area. Two, one, N ick. Okay. Didn't feel great about that one. I don't think that one's got uh got legs. Yeah. Okay. Next up in the bow region here, Darius Cooper tops three hundred and fifty four receiving yards. Now you might be wondering why is it three hundred and fifty four receiving yards? Because that is the number that over the past. Yeah, I know and's that the number. It is the most receiving yards ever by the Eagles number three receiver. Yeah, you and I have some synergy on some of our You have this as well? Uh I had I had three hundred yards and I appreciate your sp specificity. Okay. And that that three fifty-four was done by Quez Watkins in twenty twenty two. Yep. And he's going up against Johnny Munt. Scores a touchd own. I have also have a Johnny Munt related one. Um not that one th ough. I me an, as much as we are bullish on Darius Co oper, Johnny Went scoring a touchdown is a pretty low bar. I agree. It's like reasonably likely. I think it is by the odds, definitely more likely that Johnny Munn scores a touchdown. Mm-hmm. But Grant had one last year. A man's gotta have a c ode. And I'm I am I am putting my weight behind Mr. Darius Cooper. You know, Jack Stoll never scored a touchdown with the Eagles. Hmm. Okay, I'm in. Darius Cooper makes it through Darius Cooper makes it through. Next up , our last matchup of the Bow region in the first round. The Bow regards. Well we're going to acquires a veteran pro bowler from now through the trade deadline. And there's a there's a little asterisk there. This is a pro bowler in the last two seasons. Okay. Or all pro. So Zadarius Smith doesn't count here. Yeah. But someone who has recently been an elite player, Halle Roseman, makes a big splas h in a trade, or Saquon Barkley finishes top two in the nation in rushing. In the nation. In the nation. Like a college player. You're watching college basketball. You're thinking of it. Um, something just happened. Great. Great action out there. Santa Clara hitting a three. Oh man. Oh no. Kentucky made a two. You guys oh wait, it's a two? Oh no. Oh man. It's going overtime. Wow. Wow. All right. What a moment. Back to back. Yeah, you guys got to do the double screen. Yeah, could they make like a splashy trade for a veteran safety like, I'm I don't know who it is off the top of my head, but ye ah. I could see it. Especially if they trade AJ, you can't I'm I'm gonna go three, two, one, Howie. Howie trade? Howie. Okay. We'll get Saquon later. Okay. I'm confident. All right. Howie moves on. Should we should we go through the rest of my bracket to yeah, I think we should declare a winner in this region and and then then take a break and get to your region. Yeah, I like that. Um all right so that means the next matchup here is Devontae Smith leads the Eagles in receiving or Nick Siriani gets fired. I would go I would go Devante leads the Eagles in receiving here. Yes, I would agree. I think that one that one's that's like the Nick Siriani gets fired was like a you know a plucky underdog that just gets smacked in the second round. Yes. Uh then Darius Cooper hits the Quez Watkins bar or Howie trades or signs a veteran pro bowler between now and the trade deadline. Uh I would take Howie on this one as much as I love Darius Cooper. I think it's the first time we're going up against each other. I'm going Darius Cooper. Gotta support my That means Lindsay wanna let the chat or we do uh rock, paper, scissors. The classic one versus eight seed. Uh this is very clearly Cam Latu to me. Really? Yes. I mean Johnny Munt's not guaranteed to make the team. You hate Johnny Munt. Johnny Munt might get injured. Cam Latu might get nine snaps on offense and it's more than Johnny Munt. Saquon has to beat out the whole le ague. I'm surprised you went this way. It's just not even the math here is is over. Yeah, but like realistically, like Cam Latu's not gonna outslap Johnny Munt. What do you mean? I mean I'm Cam Latu's I'm probably Cam Latu's most invested observer at this point. Cam Latu's third are Johnny W isatch 32 years old. He might break his back tomor row. He might as well be a thousand. I'm 31 and I don't appreciate you being like, oh he's 32. He could just Yeah you know the difference. You could crack a hip. Yeah. This is not even close. Could wake up with arthritis. Yeah. He could uh I watched it. Take one's gotta lead the whole league. He could sneeze and get dizzy . Um no, Saquon, Saquon being the winning the rushing title, while it is, you know, it would be hard to do, it's on the table for him. It's not like you see usually see rushing title winners in clusters. You know, Derek Henry is an example. Ezekiel Elliott before that, I did my homework on when guys have done this. Ezekiel El Ezekiel Elliott did this twice in three years. So early precedent. Yeah. I mean not that much earlier. Close. Wow. All right. Do you have a what is a 50-50 proposition at just to begin with? You know, uh like this is a quit while you're ahead situation for me? Sure. I'll send Cam Latu through to the next round. Latu Latu moves on. This is a surprise. Cinderella story. Yeah. Who could have seen it coming? You would have rigged the deck in favor of Cam Latu making it far in your bracket. I mean listen, maybe you'll have like a standout training camp, cat catch a couple passes from Jalen. All of a sudden we're right in the training camps. Oh man, I'm bringing the I'm getting excited just talking about this. Uh the training camp observations headline on like day three. Camp Law too. Having a strong training camp. It could happen. All right. What do we get next? All right. So I had Sean Mannion spends just one year as the Eagles offensive coordinator, not becomes the head coach. So that's a wider range of possibilities. Against Darius Cooper surpasses two of the three stat total. So again, also a wider range. 25 catches, 300 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. The last one to do it, as we talked about, Quez Watk ins. I think this one's actually another upset. I think it's Darius Cooper. Yeah, I think Darius Cooper makes it th rough. Okay. Uh listen, the manion thing also incorporates you know, we had him in the past going up against Nick go Nick gets fired. I think if Nick's fired in this scenario gets fired. But I'll go Yeah. All right. Okay. Number three, or the three seed. Jalen Hurts finishes next season as an all-pro. And then one of my favorite ones I did. Reek Woolen has more interceptions than Quinyan Mitch ell. I mean, again, very clearly, Rick Willen has more interceptions. I don't know. That's clear about. I understand he will have more opportunities to get interceptions because he will be targeted more. But I mean listen, he's still gonna make the plays. Jalen Hurts has to be named the number one quarterback. No, no, no all pro I didn't all pro. Okay. One of the two best quarterbacks in football or a guy who usually gets more interceptions than the other guy does that. Come on. I thought this one was I thought this one was interesting. It's not it's not a Also this is not even a good you're discounting the possibility that Quinyon Mitchell is due for you know some interception regression. You know, the he is better cornerback of of the pay of the duo here. He could get he could get more interceptions than Rek Wool en. He could. Just like Jalen could have a resurgence season in 2026. I gotta defend my entries here. Not even close. This is essential. This is like the Eagles win the Super Bowl or AJ Brown has more receiving yards than Devontae Smith. No, that's not it. That is not the right framing. No. What do you mean? It's not. It's exactly the sam e. I thought this one was clos er. I'm probably going with Reek Wollen. I love an o I love an upset, but I thought this one was a little bit closer. Definitely Reek. Uh all right, what's our last one here? All right, four five. This is where my math error came into play. Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens start a combined twenty-nine regular season games in 2026. I originally had thirty-four and realized that they would have to play every single game for that to happen. Okay. And thought it would probably be better if I made it twenty nine. Okay. Yeah. No, no, that didn't. Rig w on. Ye ah. Um and then number five, the Eagles use a premium pick first or second round in a trade between now and the trade dead line. Similar to yours, but you could use this as a trade up. I would go Dickerson and Jurgens here. Hey, think about the possibility. So trading up in the first round if they trade up in the first round that counts. Oh well then that Okay. Oh, so all it needs to be is like let's say they have to from twenty three to one. That let's say it's not trading your first rounder to move up in the twenty three it's they would have to give up a f like future second or a second round pick to make that count. Okay. They are like giving up. You know, like I I don't I guess that it makes sense to me. Like if you trade like a first and like a fourth, you're not giving up a premium pick. They give up a premium pick to add to this year's team. Okay. Ye ah. And first and second is first and second are the ones that count, not a third. I'll go with the offensive linem an. I think I'm going with the premium pick. Okay. Yeah, I think I I could see how we're using a premium asset to push his chips into this year's team or push his tips, chips in the table for this year's team to try and maximize this team's uh chances of winning a Super Bowl. I could see that more than I could see Landon Dickerson and Cam Jergens starting in 29 combined g ames. I would still go with Cam and Jergens. I mean they got the they got the mutant genes now. Uh yeah, exactly. I don't know. I don't know what to make of that. Like, oh, they're fixed. I don't think they're gonna trade a one or a two. Okay, I respect that. Um, I'm going to go two offensive linemen drafted in the first three rounds. It's something I could totally see the Eagles doing. Cam Jurgen's moving to guard is something as that's more on my long-term radar. Yeah. Than something that I think is an in a that could happen immediately. Maybe the Eagles do draft like a center in the draft and they move Cam Jurgensigard because of that because they feel better about like an early draft pick slotting in there. But I think like if it's about the Drew Kendall of it all, you know, the the the encouragement internally about what Drew Kendall looks like, I think that's more of a long term thing. It's harder to find those guys, especially guys that you want to start early in their careers. It's hard to find those guys in the later rounds. So for that reason, you know, given the lack of depth they have at those positions, I could totally see them doubling up and then we're also see I see in the chat some people saying that you know Jergens wasn't good at guard in twenty twenty two. This is a different system. the idea behind this is more that it's paired with what they want from that position in this scheme. You want that guy to be a little bit more on the move. And I think, yeah, maybe that would make sense. Yeah. I completely agree. All right.
