Mad Genius Howie Roseman has the Eagles’ roster DRAFT PROOFMar 27, 2026 — starts at 0:00

Hey, how you doing ? We're gonna talk about the Eagles roster today. The professor Dan Hinnes is here. Why does he think the Howie Roseman has done such a good job getting this team ready for the draft? Find out ne xt. Hello everybody, and welc ome to L Y Eagles Podcasts live from the experiment studio by Bet365 and Account. It's Friday Friday. Gotta get down on Friday. How you doing, Professor? Nice to see you. I think I've told you this, possibly not on the show. But when we travel in the summer, we do a sing-along and dance-along to that song. Really? As a family, every Friday. And when we forget when we forget, inevitably we forget 'cause we're moving and traveling, whatever. Everyone gets very upset. Like he's like, We forgot Friday. So do you sometimes do it at the end of the day? We do it at the end of the day, usually. Okay. And so like bedtime getting ready. Yeah. Sometimes if we're driving, we'll do a we'll do a car. Absolutely. Yeah. And and and uh my cousin who travels with us, who's like cool and in her twenties, okay, gets a little embarrassed by this, you know, like as Emily and I and and and and a friend do it and she kind of watches and so sometimes during the year we will we will record our ourselves dancing along to it. Nice and then um and then send it to her. So are there specific Friday uh specific dance moves. Um is it just a it's a Emily's got or Emily's got some yeah yeah yeah and she does the you know she does the whole th Do you do the got him cereal, you know uh I think I've remembered. Now when you play it does it does it have the rap? part Yeah, of course. Okay, good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Because you know, oftentimes you get hit with when I put it on it has it, but it doesn't all yeah. That's a good point. Ah, you know, sometimes maybe we we do the the radio editing switch in lanes you know excuse me so good they had some sort of like copyright issue with the rap part I believe so it's not on like it you have to get it on YouTube I think ye ah fantastic song. Fantastic.je Obctively good song too. Like I mean, you know. And do you agree with the commenters who expect that you have more respect for that song than any Beatles single? Um more respect for that song. Uh I don't know if I go that far. Okay. EJ's the anti Beatles one. I'm not anti Beatles. I thought you were like mildly anti Beatles. I think they're slightly overrated, but my parents listened to the Beatles with uh you know when I was growing up and I and I and I like the Beatles. So plenty to discuss on a Friday here as uh EJ and I will be headed to the owners' meetings on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Actually Sunday. And here's the deal. We're going to have kind of a out of the ordinary Sunday night prime time live show because our expectations are that we'll be talking to Howie Roseman on Sunday. So we're going to recap that. We're going to have like I'm guessing East Coast time, we're talking like 10 PM, maybe even later. Exciting with your live show recap of having Roseman's comments. So it'll be exciting. Is this an availability that that we should expect to be able to get on video, or is this one of those where it's good? It's just you guys. This is just we are your eyes and your ears. Excellent. So you gotta tune in Sunday to find out. Tune Sunday to find out about how he Roseman says. And check out the show all week. We'll be there uh in Phoenix , but once you get past the owners' meetings, we are in full on draft mode. Mm-hm m. And as such, you believe that Howie Roseman has done a perfect job. You are saying Howie Roseman has nailed the offseason. I think Howie Rosmond's done a very good job. Uh in general. I don't think I said he did a perfect job this offseason. There are some things that I'm wondering about. Which we'll get to when we go through the roster. How he blew it too. Uh but you're you're you've been you've been so uh trained on this uh this YouTube algorithm thing that you you think every statement needs to be. It'd be one or the other. Every statement needs to have one word that's in all caps. Howie Roseman crushed this off, Susan. Or Howie Find out how Howie Roseman blew it. We should have an episode where it's like a requirement that every sentence that any that everyone says has to be like like one that could be a YouTube title. Yeah. Um I think the Fred Johnson signing kind of let me be like, Okay, now the roster is draft proof. Like like there was that one hole, it's wing tackle, right? Where it's like they're talking up Cameron Williams, but it's like, come on, really? Like, is he really going to be first guy in at tackle? And when Fred Johnson came back, it was kind of like, okay, like they pretty much have this thing draft proof with a couple of caveats, right? Like one, AJ Brown is currently on the roster, and that's what makes me look at wide receiver and say like it's draft proof. And we're AJ Brown's, we're gonna go through the depth chart here, but go ahead. Right. Yeah, then then I would say maybe not. And then safety is the other big one that we need to talk about, I think. So Okay. Let's start. Let's let's go to quarterback. Let's look we're we're gonna go through the positions today. We're also gonna check in on flu world order, see what other uh nonsense you want to talk about. Yeah, yeah. But generally speaking, we're gonna go through the roster because I also am curious, Dan is there are a few guys at the bottom of the roster who I think even the sick os don't know. Yeah. It's fun. I want to know if you had to guess, who do you think is the least recognizable? Not not personally, but the people who watch this show every day. Yes. Who are consumed by thinking about the Eagles. Yes. Even they don't realize this person is on the team. Yeah. Who do you think is the answer for the the most incognito current Eagle? Very I think it's between six guys. Okay. I was gonna know who comes to mind to you first. Okay. To me the the two that come to mind are two of the three future signings who were not on the team last ye ar. And they are John Ojuku, mm-hmm, the uh right tackle. He played some right tackle um for the uh was it the Titans? Titans, he's got nine starts in his career, John Ojukwu. And um the other I would I would say is probably Jose Ramirez. Uh like who knows that Jose Ramirez is on the team? Not only is he on the team, but they gave him number 43 worn by Ben Van Sumeran last year. So if the any Ben Van Sumeran heads out there, the fact that his number has been given away is is usually a bad sign for for a player who may return. So I think Carson Steele is a possibility, but but probably just enough people know that he's an actual fullback. Played in the Super Bowl against the may have seen he's got the long hair. Yeah. So probably not him. I think Jaheen Bell is a possibility because there's been enough focus on the other tight ends that maybe you forget that the seventh round pick of the Patriots in 2024 is on the team. Yeah. I think it comes down to the two you mention ed. Taekwond. Taekwond's a good one. Yeah. Taekwon Graham, who is a defensive tackle. And then Ambry Thomas. Who's on the team all the last year. All of off last year. Like it was was off and then back on, like uh during the season. And I want to ask you uh a very I'm glad we're doing this play it in the league. I'm glad we're doing this at the top of the show because this is what's really going to hook people in. But I have an Ambry Thomas um statistical probability question for you. Okay. So Amber Thomas was a third round pick of the San Francisco 49ers. Okay. From 2021 to 2023, in three years of draft class, the San Francisco 49ers drafted seven different third-round picks. Okay. Seven different third round picks. Of those se ven, five then landed on the Eagles. Oh, wow. The Eagles have employed five of their seven third-round picks in a three-year span. That's crazy. Is Jake Moody one of the ones that didn't? He's one of the one of the two who didn't. Okay, okay, okay. Jake Moody and Jair Brown, the safety, are the two who have not yet yet landed. Not yet landed. Yeah, have not yet. Yeah, exactly. If they could complete that seven, wow. I mean it it what are the odds that this is not a bit by Howie Roseman. So For it to be five out of seven. Cam Latu. Yes. Um Ambry Thomas. Ambry Thomas. Okay. Three more you said. Yeah. Oh, I'm so bad at these. There's one other who's still on the roster. Right now. So I'm looking at his name technically right now. Mm-hmm. Uh man, I'm so bad at this. Y es? Yes. Oh, TDP. TDP. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know me. Thomas Price. Right. Two more. I'll tell you what. There's another running back. Um Um Oh no. Oh no. Wait, what? Meditate? U h Buddha. Blank on the Mo unt. Wait, what? I'm so bad. I'm so bad at this that uh blank on the mount . Blank on the mount. Yeah. What what the hell does that mean? Sermon. Trey sermon. Oh, Trey Sermon. Okay, yeah. And the last one is still on the roster. Chance Campbell? No. Chance Campbell. Broadway, Danny Gray. Oh, Danny Gray. Okay. Yeah. He was a third-round pick. Yes. Wow. Okay . It's typical Shanahan third rounder right there. Do you think this rises to the level of the classic COVID situation where the statistical improbability is enough to tell us that there's something else going on here? No, because that was like one in if that was your question, I could have said the answer. No, but it's not is it approaching this this has to be a bit. The odds of that were were lower than the odds of if you picked one person out of the entire world population randomly, what are the odds that that would be you? The odds of that are higher than the odds of what happened with COVID. I know, but don't you think that this tells us something's going on here? Maybe you think that's a market inefficiency? No, I just think he's like I think I think it's how he needling John Lynch. He's he's just like Howie? Oh ye ah. Oh how he's aware of all this. He's acquiring all the chiefs that he beat in the Super Bowl right now. Like that's why you got Carson Steele. You got Josh Ujay, you know, Hollywood Brown. Right, because he knows that when you show B roll of these guys, it's gonna be them losing in the Super Bowl. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. All right. Let's start quarterback. How do you feel about this the quarterback situation? And do you think the Andy Dalton move means the Tanya Marquine is on the move? Yeah, I'm confused by the Andy Dalton move because this is like a three point nine million dollar quarterback you're for a to be third str ing? I know Shields been talking about this. I don't think I've ever heard of a third string quarterback making that much money. And there are so many teams in the NFL that don't even have a third quarterback on the roster. Now the Eagles did have three quarterbacks last year, but Sam Howell made one million dollars. Like t to go from that to a guy making four million dollars is a little crazy. Now if Andy Dalton is transitioning to become a coach, like is is that why you're bringing him in? But you guys talked about this. Like it's not like his whole career has been in the system or anything. Like he's played a little bit. I mean if you play that long, you're gonna play in every system, some um it's a it's a it's a weird m ove. It seems like it makes it such that you are preparing in case you trade Tanner McK ee. From a strategic perspective, I was thinking, doesn't it hurt your leverage a bit if you're trying to trade Tanner McKee? Which is part of the other team. Telling everybody this has nothing to do with Tanner McKee. Right. They're gonna say that, right? They're gonna message that. But are you like can you take that seriously? It's like other GMs are gonna be like, come on, Howie, you didn't you're not gonna pay four million dollars to a third string guy. Like you're obviously planning on getting rid of Tanner McKee. Now maybe the cost of that in the in the negoti ation is minor relative to the risk of literally not having a backup right if if an opportunity does arise on draft night in particular. Right. Like the reason to do the signing before the draft, I guess, is that like I don't know, was Andy Dalton gonna go somewhere else? Like that's the other question. Why don't you just like and also Andy Dalton? Like, how many guys like that are there? Like you should be able to trade for one of them if you trade Tanner McKee, right? Right. So yeah, it's a little it's a little weird. Um, but I guess they thought this was an opportunity to just be able to trade Tanner McKee if the opportunity arises. I have no idea. What happens if you can't trade Tanner McKee? Are you really gonna keep all three on the roster and pay a third string quarterback four million dollars? Strange to me. Starting to come around to my theory, aren't you? W what remind me what the theory is? Highweed roseweed. Oh yeah yeah,ah. Ye, there you go. I I've I've been enjoying those a lot. Now you have to be really high weed, yeah. To be get excited by Andy Dalton. I mean like this is one of these where it's like not that exciting, even if you're high. It's like Andy Dalton. Like what? Oh look at the hair. I think you could beautiful hair. I am jealous. You get me feeling the right way, I could stare in that hair for hours. Oh yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Very jealous of the hair. Okay. So you think there is something else to come here ? It would just be so strange for. the ball What would you a what as as someone who every season is the the only season that matters. Yeah. You know, who knows if we'll be alive. They got a chance to win the Super Bowl this year. Well, I'd rather have Tanner McKee be the backup. But what what price would you let him go for? Yeah. Uh second rounder for su re. Third rounder, maybe not? Do you think he gets you a third round comp pick anyway? If if he at the end of the year? Oh, that's a good question. Because if that's happening or maybe next year won't be like a config year because of the other Yeah, but also I think unless he actually plays R then he then you're he'd have to go to like a team that is bad and wants him to play. Yeah. I don' t know. If let's assume you're not getting a comp pick for him, then third round is is the lowest. I mean that could be is the lowest I would get. That could be Jair Brown. Could be Jake Moody. Could be like a terrible kicker. Ye ah. There you go. All right. Danny Gray. Quarterback down. Coming up next. Running back. Wide receiver. Tight end, and offensive line, where I think we can have an interesting conversation not just about what they need entering the draft, but also Tyler Steen's future. What do you make of it? I was hoping we'd mention every name by the way, on the roster. So just as a last second note here, Jalen Hurts is the starting quarter back. So that way we'll mention with insight like that. We are back on the PHOI Eagles podcast, Bo and the Professor turn our attention to running back. Now listen, the least important position. I know. Put the gloves away. Okay, Saquon's not gonna hurt you here tod ay. Take it eas y. It's the offseas on. Okay ? Gloves down. How do you feel about this group? Uh seems like a fine group. Do you think do you think they will add a day three guy here? Probably just because they normally do, don't you think? Or an un undra undrafted guy, maybe. Well, I think it's more you know, this is the last year of Saquon's like guaranteed deal. Ye ah. Uh last year of Bigsby's rookie deal? Yes. Last year of Will Shipley's rookie deal. Okay. And then you've got Damian Pierce. So it would make it would make seems to probably be physically like in the comments. I think more likely than that. Yeah. Yeah. So it would make some some sense to bring in a guy who who could be under team control. But it's also, as you say, who cares? It's the running back position. Yeah. Um just put me out there. I you say. Do you think do you think Saquon was negatively impacted by the workload like over the course of the last two years? And do you think that the new staff will have a desire to maybe uh manage his like carries a little bit. My answer is yes and no. Okay. So you think they should, but they won't? Yeah. Or you or or okay. Yeah. No, I think I'm a little worried about that too. I think that he is probably himself agitating for it. I take care of my body myself. Don't no give me the ball. I don't need rest.. Sure I think it would be impossible to think that he's not negatively affected to some degree by the workload. Yeah. It was so it was so hard to tell last year because like Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson were both so like obviously injured all season. It was really hard to tell if the decline in the run game like had anything to do with Saquon or not. I think it had a little bit to do with him, but it might have just been him like trying to overcompensate for the problems with the offensive line. So and that not to mention the tight end blocking. So um yeah, I do think that as he gets older, that's something that they should do a little bit. Like and Tank because B looked fine when he played last year. Like I you know, I I don't think that um that was only because he only played a little bit. Like I think he can play a little bit more. I don't know. Wasn't Will Shipley supposed to be playing more by now? Like I guess has that has that ship sailed? Is that just not really happening? I didn't do that on purpose, but yeah. I mean I think he's clearly been overtaken by Tank Bigsby and you know he didn't turn into uh he didn't turn into a seaving game demon or a special team. Is there a chance he doesn't make the te am? I think if they draft a guy on day three who has pop and they don't feel like carrying four running backs, yeah, I think that's possible . I would say I would I'm gonna give him I would say 79 turkeys to make it. Okay, I was just gonna say eighty. So yeah, there you go. Yeah, I think that's about right. Now, fullback. We already mentioned that Ben Van Sumeran, who has not been re signed, no, his number was given away to a guy no one really knows is on the team . If he's not coming back, you got two guys left at fullback. You got Cam Latu , and you have Carson Steele, who was the fullback for the Chiefs. Uh he was uh he played a little bit in the Super Bowl against the against the Eagles on special teams. Now, um Green Bay didn't really use a fullback. Now I I don't really know if that matters. Like um that doesn't mean Sean Manion is anti-fullback or anything. That might have been more of a LaFleur thing, whatever. Um, do you think there will be a lot of fullback usage? And do you think that it'll be one of these gu ys if there is a fullb ack. I don't know. Yeah. L ike the whole fullback thing last year, as much as as much as EJ loved it, it did sort of feel like them just grasping at straws and not endemic to who they needed to be. And you know, as you say that it's not like it's not like that that was the Packers' philosophy. No, three percent twenty-one personnel for the Packers, and it was it was all like tight ends. Yeah. Okay. Uh I don't think it even had a fullback. Okay. Yeah. So I think it comes down to it's going to be four tight ends or it's going to be three tight ends and fullback. And I don't I don't know really. Yeah. Maybe that's supposed to just be Cam Latu and he can do both th ings. It also feels like it's very connected to Jalen's like is Jalen gonna run again? And I I think the answer is probably not. So then maybe that is maybe that is their solve for that. I don't know. What do you think? Yeah, I don't know. I mean I I don't know like whether to read anything in the state that they signed C Carsarsonon Steel. Steel, yeah. But then they didn't bring Van Sumeran, so it's like well yeah, I mean maybe they just wise, right? Yeah. Enough to be worth like having him be in the mix. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, um it obviously wasn't part of like the Syriani philosophy like before. You know what I mean? Like it was a kind of a new thing that they tried with Van Sumeran for the first time in 24 and then continued a little bit with La 2 last year, though not quite as much as they did with Vansumarin. So yeah, I don't know. I mean they seem to be so excited about some of that stuff they did with La 2, like the sphere motion and things like that. And then they bring in a guy from the Shanahan tree to be the coach. And so like that's the kind of blocking stuff we're gonna see, but it doesn't have to be from like a fullback position. I do appreciate the people calling for Willie Lampkin, though. Make it happen. As the sixth O lineman. Yeah. Well, as the fullback. Yeah. All right. Wide receiver. How do you feel? AJ Brown. Devontae Smith and Hollywood Bro wn. Darius Cooper. Johnny Wils on. Elijah Moore, Quez Watkins, Danny Gray, and Britton Covey, who is still on the roster, but he's got kind of a weird um number on it. His contract, it seems like he'll be but they haven't done it yet. They haven't done it yet, which means i they'll probably just restructure I imagine . Quez Watkins is a sleeper, by the way, for like a guy that people would be surprised is still on the team. That's true. Just because of the name recognition. That's a good point. What do you mean Quez Watkins? That's a when he's team. That's true. Um Hollywood Brown is a perfectly fine third wide receiver. Probably like it perfectly replaces Jahan Dotson as a guy who can run routes and more . As a second, it'd be it'd be pretty dire. Right? So if AJ Brown is gone and you're not getting a wide receiver back in the trade . This is the place where you feel like they need to draft a receiver for two rounds. This is where it is not draft proof. Because the third guy in right now is like Darius Cooper, and then after that you've got Johnny Wilson, who's going to be probably playing as like a blocking type wide receiver, I imagine, in this in this setup. In the depth chart that I posted, I put Elijah Moore behind Johnny Wilson, Britton Govey, and Darius Cooper, and people were like, come on, Elijah Moore's higher than that. It's like no, he's not. Like he he barely was on a roster last year. He wasn't on a roster. He was on the practice squad. So um, yeah, this is this this needs work if AJ Brown isn't on this team. And the question is: do you draft a wide receiver h igh? You trade for a wide receiver. I mean the the free agent wide receivers that are left out there, Juwan Jen nings, Ibo Samuels, Stephon Diggs, Tyreek Hill, Keenan Al len, Brandon Cooks still out there , DeAndre Hopkins, Juju Smith Schuster. I mean this is like not an exciting list. Brandon Ayuk. Brandon Ayuk, yeah. Ye ah. So this is not um you know, if it's true that AJ's gone, then this is a concern, for sure. Especially because of all the talk of like this is gonna be such a run heavy team, it's like run heavy team with no good wide receivers is like usually not a good offense. Like, so I'm I'm just a little concerned about this. Like, okay. Um, what do you think? What do you think? Like, how many turkeys would you put? Assuming AJ Brown is gone. Okay. What is the what is the solution to having Hollywood Brown not be your number two guy? I think it' s probably a draft p ick.. Has to be first two rounds Yeah. Yeah. Um you know there's the there's a there's the Brian Thomas out there. I don't I think that would surprise me. Um I think I think they would want it to be their own guy. But I don't I don't know . I thought you were just gonna say Darius Cooper is the is the answer. Well yeah, well you're looking for wide receiver th ree. Yeah. Behind Darius Cooper. Darius Cooper's gonna light this league on fire, baby. Let's see. Let's see. All right. Tight end . By the way, the Elijah Moore thing, I know there's some debate about whether it's because of the AJ Brown. The fact that he was like barely played last year makes you think it is. Makes me think it is. Yeah. I mean, like uh was very upset about my about me saying that the other day, but yeah. Um well the the the the guy that EJ replaced was was very adamant that it had nothing to do with it um uh on a on a on you know talking to shield I it's just hard for me there are so many guys like Elijah Moore like at his level why would you bring him in I well and not one and i think i think part of the disconnect is the the case for it not being it is like well you think this is gonna you think this is gonna change aj's mind no i'm not i'm not saying that he was like doing this to try to convince AJ to come back, I'm saying it's an indication to me that they are on good terms with each other already. Yeah. Or good enough. Ye ah. No, I mean it makes me think. Like it just it it seems like it can't be a complete coincidence, but yeah, it doesn't make me think it I don't know. It is it is they are so thick as thieves and he is he was so inconsequential as a player last ye Yes. That of course they have to be connected to in some degree. Yeah. For those who don't know, I mean he he I finished the season on Denver's you mentioned like he got cut by Buffalo, a team that was famously like lacking receiver. Denver also was not exactly great at wide receiver, and they went into the playoffs with him on the practice squad. He was inactive in uh the first playoff game, and then he played seven uh snaps due to injury at in the AFC championship game. Like that's that's what Elijah Moore was last year. So there's no reason to think that like, you know, just because you know his name. The Joe Douglas thing is interesting. Like it's like Joe Douglas Joe Douglas keeps convincing Howie to bring these like, you know, gu like like former uh guys that he that he picked. Um but yeah. All right. Tight end. Tight end. How do you feel about it? And do you think was shocked? I think this is the one where Crankara is back. I know. I do think this is this is the one where it was most important to draft pro of so that they didn't really have to move a guy way up. I agree. And I was I was very happy for uh Dallas Goddard to come back. We're talking about the uh Johnny Munt signing. It is noteworthy that last year I went through my notes because somebody asked about this. Um I had Grant Calcutera down for twenty-two plays during the season in my notes where I wrote him down as the main culprit on a failed running play, which is a shockingly high number, more than once a game, for a guy who played as little as as he did. He was he was soft benched uh for a you know a big chunk of the season. Um and then it was a little disturbing to see the Dallas Goddard's name was on there fifteen times um on failed plays running. So like the the need to improve blocking a tight end was huge. And so I think whatever number of turkeys you gave Johnny Munt to be on the team, I think it's higher than that. Like like I think it's I think he's definitely gonna be on the team. He's the end. Yeah, I guess. I mean I think he's got the team. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, well, even if they draft two tight ends, don't you think Grand Calcatara would get cut first. Yeah. It depends on the kind of tight end they they draft. Yeah. But um usually guys coming out of college. He's also old, he could get h urt. Johnny Munt. Oh Johnny Munt, yeah, sure. Of course yeah. Um Stone Smart. Eh. Could be fun. Yeah, okay. Uh EJ Jenkins, and then you have uh Jaheem B ell. Um Um by the way, they gave out numbers. I don't know. Stone Smart they gave him eighty seven. They're just they're just giving out they're just giving out Selects numbers. I know, it's funny. Yeah . What'd you think of the Hollis Thomas news? Yeah. Any uh any thoughts on that? Not for me to comment on. Okay, let's let's move on. Um Yeah, I think so do you think they draft a tight end? Yes. In the first two da ys? Or do you think in a day three like guy to develop kind of I would be very surprised if they haven't drafted a tight end by the end of round fo ur. Okay. That's that's my line. Okay. I think I agree, though we said that. And given and given everything that Fran has told us about this class. Because there's plenty of guys in three or four. Sadiq in round one, or it's somebody in round three or four. So deacon round one would be shocked. Me. Yeah, it would be fun. People are talking about it. So fun. It'd be fun in that Kyle Pitts way. I mean No, he can block. Yeah, yeah. I don't know. I don't know. Doesn't seem like a normally successful formula. I will I mean just formula Kyle Pitts pick. They took him over Jamar Chase. They took him very, very high. Obviously, we're not talking about that high, but like still tight end, I don't know. Um Are you surprised in general that you know, we we got got Johnny Monkt, who is Sean Mannion's guy. R ight. We got Hollywood Bro wn. I guess you got Andy Dalton. But like , given the fact that there was such an influx of of new people to the coaching staff and they're implementing this brand new scheme. That the offense is like the same guy. Yes. Yeah, a little bit. Well you look at uh I mean even the Fred Johnson thing is part of this, which we will get to, but like are are you surprised there hasn't been more of okay, we're we're changing things up here. We need more guys who can just fill these specific roles. To some degree, uh probably especially a tight end. I mean, Green Bay was thirty-three percent uh twelve personnel last year, uh, that was sixt hhighest in the leag ue. You know, um, now they had Tucker Kraft, he was a big part of the offense. I really like think that Johnny Munt is like the main link between the coaching staff and like the, you know, a like a guy on the roster who's gonna pla y in a way that helps that style yeah because he's a guy who can line up in the slot as a tight end and then block out there. He's a guy who can line up as an inline tight end and block. Like it matches a lot of the outside zone type stuff. It it is it is surprising. It also speaks to, and we've talked about this before, how there's this weird thing where the offense has been the same for years now. Yeah. Like this core group is not that different than the group that played in the Super Bowl four years ago, like the 2022 season. And the defense hasn't been that way. The defense has has turned over. In fact, like um can you name the only two can you name the only two can you name the only starter from the twenty twenty two uh defense that's still on the team. The only starter from a twenty twenty two defense who's still on the team, Marcus Epps. Yes, and he left and came back. So like there isn't a single guy who's continuously been here since that Super Bowl who actually started, you know, because Jordan Davis didn't wasn't really a starter. So uh when you look at the continuity on offense and the and the lack thereof on defense , it's it's interesting that like you're you're changing the coaching staff in one of them and you're and then you're kind of changing the players in the other one and and it's kind of like like which one is more volatile and it seems like the offense is more volatile, even though the players are the same. Like part because they're aging and part because they're unhealthy. But do you think that the now listen, this is a ridiculous comparison because it's literal Vic Fangio and you know, the boy genius Sean Manning, who's never done anything before. But do you think that they are thinking about the turnaround from twenty-three to twenty-four, which did not include a a I mean there actually there was uh plenty of turnover personnel wise with Quinyan and Dejean specifically. Sure. But leaning into the idea that just changing the coaching sta ff can do those kind of wond ers. Yes. I do think they're leaning into that a little too much. The changing the coaching staff without really changing the roster is definitely like the thing on my radar for the offense. It is especially bothersome because I think the main reason for the failures on offense last year was the offensive line play in in part because of injury. Mm-hmm. We're not sure if Landon and Cam are ever going to be the same again. And if they're not, and you've got Lane Johnson one year older, right? All these, all these, um we're going to get to offensive line, but like I I'm concerned that the real issue with the offense last year was that the coaching was was never great on offense. Like I didn't was great in twenty twenty four either. We we complained about the the the the approach schematically all season on the way to the winning the Super Bow l. And the run game and the offensive line play was just like good enough to overcome it. And now it's like as soon as the offensive line wasn't good, the coaching looked terrible. And part of that was Kevin Patulo on game day was pro was it was clearly like just too big a job for him. Like I think we can say that now. But I mean, yeah, I'm I'm I'm definitely concerned. Like in part because you're teaching old dogs new tricks, right? Like you're you're asking Jordan Milata and Lane Johnson to play for a new offensive line coach for the first time in their careers. Like Yeah. Um yeah, I'm I'm definitely and there is um you know what let's make this before we go to break, let's make this the big de al. That's right. The big deal present the big takea way. The big takeaway presented by our friends at Xfinity. Too much big stuff, you know what I mean? Mm-hmm. I hear you. Big personalities, big eg os. Big takeaway presented by Xfinity. U h the tension between you and I were discussing this before the show. H ow yes, they have draft proofed to the extent that they can approach the draft as they sh, as every team should be able to approach the draft of just talent acquisition, young players who are going to be here for a long time, agnostic of the scheme and this year's needs. Learn from the, you know, Marcus Smith um type lesson. Right. Yeah. They they have that lux ury contrasted with it sure does seem like this is kind of one last ride with this group. For sure. And I and I as a fan, I feel so uncomfortable like right now because I don't like things ending. So so it really feels like this is the end, but it also feels like it's not gonna necessarily be friend the end. Right. And I yeah I mean, look, we're already in a post-Joff Stoutland world, right? As we move to offensive line, this is a good time to do it, right? We're gonna be in a post-Lane Johnson world very soon. Um, we're already in this like situation where we're transitioning into like an unknown where the Eagles offensive line might not be good, right? Which means that um, you know, you gotta you gotta take advantage of like the last year of Lane Johnson, right? Uh other side of the ball, last year of Vic Fangio, I mean, you don't know what's gonna happen to this defense when you have some random new defense coordinator, right? And so yeah, there's a lot of unknown going forward. Yes, there are good young players on the team. You're gonna re-sign some of them, sure. But yeah, I mean, this team that won the Super Bowl might not look quite like this again after this season. And so you kind of part of me is like, gotta try to win it now. But then it seems like the most reasonable first round pick is a offensive lineman who might not start, who might not play. Yeah. Right. And so so that's a bit of a bit of a contradiction, bit of a tension. Combined with the fact that last year's first round pick is a guy who like you had a guy who's better than him on the team who you let walk. Like if you knew he was gonna be healthy and good enough to play, like maybe you wouldn't have used that pick that way, right? Like like all of this is is is creating this uh tension between today and and later on, but we also know that one of the reasons Sally Roseman has been so successful is because he has that job security. It's chicken and egg, right? Like he has job security because he's been successful, but he also is successful in part because of the job security, and that he can have the same incentives as the fans should have, where you care about the future years as much as you care about the current year, right? And so um you always sacrifice to some degree the present for for the future, right? I guess I guess you could be like the Rams and like not do it that way. But I mean, um yeah, I d I I just yeah, there is there is that tension there and it's making me uncomfortable. And I don't know what to think about it. That'll do it for the big takeaway presented by Xfinity. We gotta take a quick break. Back with more on the other side. Talking offensive l ine There's a little mystery going on. That's right. Back on the PHLY Eagles podcast, Bo and the Professor. We turn our attention now to the offensive line where Red Johnson is back. Yes. So we talked about that means. Yeah. We have flu world order updates. Oh, yes, we've flashed up to take a look here. Ethan, who's on the ones and twos tod ay. EJ extending his le ad. Because he had Fred Johnson a little bit lower than Fran and I, Fred and me. But he's up eighty-three to eighty nine. Low man wins. He's up by six points. N ow, there are there are four I I think we probably think Adore Jackson's not gonna come back. Yes, they have given his number away, which is always a good sign. Uh obviously they signed Jonathan Jones as well, but uh uh Tank Bigsby is now wearing number eight. So what do you think of that by the way? I don't like the wearing eight running back where he eight that either . So if AJ Brown comes back, that's a five-point swing in my direction. That would make it uh so just keep in mind I'm down. Yeah, you're down by six. Tanner McKee comes back, that's a four point swing in my direction. Brandon Graham comes back, that's a three point swing in my direction. This is very funny by the way. The the Eagles webs ite has BG on the roster right now. Even though they have a section really for undrafted or sorry for unrestricted free agents. Really? Which includes Ben Van Sumeran, Ogbo Okaronquo, and Adore Jackson. And they've got Brandon Graham just on the roster as if he's just on the team. That's very funny. As the seventy first player. There are he is not on the team. Like there are seventy players on the team, and the according to the website, BG's on there already. So whoever's running that uh page didn't want to go through the motions of like taking him off and putting him back on. They're like, come on, we know we know we're bringing BG back. That's very funny. Yeah, that's very funny. He's on roster in perpetuity. Yes, exactly. But the Briton Covey one there swings it back and So it's gonna be it's gonna be very t ight. And then when Josh Uce inevitably comes back in like November, Fran win Fran will get to within Fran is Fran will get to within uh like twenty of I believe almost statistically eliminated him. I mean Fran had Dallas Goddard lower than A.J. Dillon. So I feel like uh you should just automatically get disqualified for for that. But but you know, it's easy for me to say I'm I I didn't play. So all right. Let's get to the offensive line. Um not a ton to go over here now that we've we sort of already didn't. Steen lane is are the starters. You've got Fred Johnson, Cameron Williams, Miles Hinton, and John O'Drukwu as the tackles, do you think Cameron Williams and Miles Hinton will both make the te am? Um my guess is no. Yeah, I was thinking that too. Probably only Cameron Williams. That would be my guess. Right . And then you've got Drew Kendall, Alan Pierce, Willie Lampkin, and Jake Majors as the other guy. Jake Majors is pretty high up on the list of people who might not know him. That's probably right. He was on the last year, yeah, but he never was elevated or anything. Um, do you think there will be a role for Willie Lampkin in the offense? Is one question. No. You don't think he'll be a game day y he won't dress? I don't know. Okay. I hope he does. Hm. The other question is, do you do you think there's anything to the Cam Jurgens moving to guard rumors? Uh I don't think it's a short term thing. Okay. I think that's something they have in their back pocket as a possibility for next year in a post-Lennon Dickerson world. That's my guess. Man, I w I wish you know, I remember that first preseason game where Cam Jurgens looked like Jason Kelsey and people were like, oh my god, and he drafted the next Kelsey. And we just haven't seen that. Like, um, we've never seen that really from him. Um, even the year that even even in twenty-four when he was healthy, we didn't really see that usage. I'm very curious what's gonna happen with the new stat, whether we're gonna see like those pinpole runs and things like that trying to make use of his athleticism if if he has it. If he has it. Yeah, exactly. He said he felt good in that podcast he did uh this week. So what was he gonna say? He sounded really honest when he talked about how terrible he felt all of last year. Okay. And how much better he's feeling now. So I mean for the you know, it i it was like a setting where like you know, he was saying some crazy stuff on there, like uh how he believes in aliens and stuff. So I feel like he I I I feel like he was I feel like he had opened up and was on. Do you believe in ali ens? I think given like statistically like in the whole universe, yeah. I I think he meant like he thinks they've already come to Earth and living underwater or something like that. He mentioned something like that. So Living Underwater. So may be maybe he was just trolling about the aliens thing. Yeah. Well you should check it out. Talked about aliens for a while. Like they' re like they they're fish or like they're breathing underwater or like didn't really get into it. I I'm actually disappointed that the hosts did not I mean has something kind of follow up on it. Did not follow up very well with that. Yeah. So they didn't they didn't think it was like interesting enough to follow up on because they all seem to kind of be on board with this. Ye ah. Oh interesting. Like the just just Game of Thrones? We just live in Game of Thrones . I me an Yeah. Okay. Weird stuff. All right, let's take our last bre ak. And then we'll come back and we'll go through the defen se. Back on the PHLY Eagles podcast, Bo and the Professor, the Flannel Friday, as the people have pointed out. Let's talk about it. Have we ever successfully had a flannel? Not just the one where he wore the the shirt, but I think you guys have had some successful ones. I don't think we've ever done one with the three of us where we all won flannel. Sorry. No, I me an Do you think that the Eagles are fully good to go along the edge if they don't come out of the draft with a guy in the first four rounds. Between Jalex Hunt, Nolan Smith, Arnold Ebbicady, and Jose Ramirez. And Brandon Gra ham. Though he's told you that he might be more of an inside guy this year. Uh no, I think he said edge. He's he's he's Oh, because they're set inside, he said, right? Set inside. He' iss he's thinking his body's an edge. Okay, gotcha. All right. Um it's not terrible. It's very similar to what it was going into last year, right? Very similar. I mean the last year it was Nolan Smith, Jalexant, and then instead of Abiketty you had like Uche and uh Azizo Jolari. and Ocaronquo Okoronquo, yeah. So it's it's it's pretty similar to last year with the one positive change that Jalex Hunt has now shown us that he can be maybe better than we thought he could be. And the one negative is that you have one year now of Nolan Smith not really getting through a season healthy, right? And so you wonder if that's an iss ue. Is there a world in which they dra ft an edge in the first round. Yes. Yeah. That's the one position where it seems like it would be an obvious way to make this year's team better, right ? Yes. I think that's right. The the one position where it's not gonna drop the safety. Right. Right, right. I think that's probably right. Yeah. So I guess wide receiver if they move on from AJ Brown would be the other answer there, but yeah. Right. Yes, that that's right. That's right. So I guess that's the I guess that's the thing. If you don't get that, is there a world where I guess what, like you know Renard Johnson Renard just said that like he he wants a Jalen Phillips style like his agent said he wants like Jalen Phillips numbers. Like if that's true, you're not gonna trade for that guy. Correct. So um yeah, I mean when you look at the potential ring chasing types You bring back to Darius Smith. Remember that? Darius Smith. Oh, yeah, that was that worked out really well. You've got Jadeavion Clowney, Cameron Jordan, Von Miller, Dante Fowler, Derek Barnett. How fun would that be? Yeah, baby. Hassan Reddick, Kyle Van Noy at age thirty-five, Preston Smith, Leonard Floyd. It's just old guys left. And yeah, do you do you bring do you bring one of those guys in? Probably. But even if you do, what does that do? I mean you have last year's Quack to the Future up there? So I have the only Quack to the Future that you guys ever did . Which was four years ago. I think we did one last year, but we called it something different. Okay. Yeah, I think so. By the way, fascinating names on this 2022 Quack to the Future. None of these guys made the team. Okay. They were how many carved out NFL careers? Well, that's the thing. So Coyote Ooshika was num numberber fan now you had him number one zach had him number two Jacoby Stevens who I barely remember uh Zach had as his number one guy to make the team that game I'm taking that as a winner's my guy carved out of career and Jacoby Stevens to not there you go Mac. McCain and Jared Maiden. Mac McCain. Are the uh are the next guys. Who is Mac McCain? Mac McCain and Mac McWilliams will be the same guy in my brain. Yeah, on my on my deathbed. Who was Mac McCain? He was a he was a corner, wasn't he? One of those like many corners that like how he obtained. Am I wrong? I can't think of Mac McCain. I'm pretty sure he was a corner. Mac McCain. Marvin Wilson,. B Bigig Mar Marvv. Yeah. Uh Cameron Melvo. Who had an incredible? Oh yeah. Love that guy. Christian Ellis, Bo. You had him fifth on this list. Behind Mac McCain and Jared Maiden, which makes me questi on just how much you actually liked Christian Ellis. It was that um going into the twenty twenty two season, you had him as less likely to make the team than Mac McCain, who you don't even remember. Well Jared Maiden and Jacoby Stevens. Well it's proof in the pudding that I I am not stuck in my opinions and I am I I can my I can change my mind based on new evidence. Fair. When I saw him on the field, it became clear. Also, you you did have him ranked four above four higher than Zach did. You had him ninth. With only Dion only Dion here new ball. And Matt Leo by both had Matt Leo. He's a corner, right? Yeah. Yeah. North Carolina AT. Craig James, who actually was on the team for a while, right? Um yeah, you guys both had him pretty low. So fun game. Quite a bit. Go a tongue eye. You know, this year there are Dean Kane and Matt Leo. There are sixteen gu ys um who are futures this ye ar I think you and EJ should should think about playing this. He sounds great. Quack to the future. Yeah. Just gave us a day of an episode. There you go. Fantastic. Yeah. Be fun. I'm sure not if it's supposed to come earlier in the offseason hour, you know. We can't be doing middle of dra ft prep doing the quite the future draft. But I don't know it might need to be a special primetime live episode or something. Yeah, exactly. Split it in two parts. Save Howie for the second. Uh all right. Defensive tackle. They're they're good to go. Although this is one where actually I wouldn't be surprised if they they drafted a guy just because he's the top one on their board. Jalen Carter, if you're planning for a Moro Ojamo replacement. Is Byron Young gonna be on the team? You know who hates Byron Young? Like you know who who like Byron Old. Hates Byron Young more than anyone in the world and like thinks about him more than anyone in the world. For another show, uh one of E GM like always talks about how Byron Young is like a liability. I find it very funny. I like, I like um write to him sometimes and I don't think anybody else cares about this guy. Ty Robinson, Gabe Hall, Daquan Graham. Um you were talking about base and usage of base, and and this is a good time to bring it up because when Vic plays base, the extra guy in is a defensive tackle.. No trouble Extra defensive tackles on the field. There was a big difference in how much base was played last season compared to twenty twenty four. Twenty twenty four there were fewer than nine base snaps a game. Sixteen base snaps a game last year. Uh almost almost uh twice as much, twenty four percent uh overall, seventy one percent of the time against big personnel, which actually was above NFL average. So it w twenty twenty four was an outlier. If you remember when Cooper DeGean joined the lineup, we talked about how Vic was like very insistent on staying in nickel to keep Cooper DeGene on the field, and how that was unusual for Vic. Like how he had to always play more base in the past. Okay. The combination of Jordan Davis being in shape and being able to play more snaps and the And the other corner being such an obvious liability. Yeah. Well like kind of kind of like led to that. Now the question is, is that gonna change this year? Yeah. Like are we gonna see more nickel again? Uh because the other corner is presumably gonna be less of a liability. But then you can just if the safety's a liability, then you move to gene there. You move and gene there, yeah., exactly So I guess that's a topic for when we get to those positions. Okay. Yeah. Uh linebacker should be good to go. Zach Bond, Jerhad Campbell, Jeremiah Tritter, Smile Mondan, Chance Campbell. Takee a a ch chance, tak a chance, takeance. And then what, they'll draft a guy late? Or no? I think they're also a veteran of some low degree of experience. Yes. That seems like how they'll approach that. That sounds right. Uh, how do you feel about the corner group ? I think the one spot where you know uh up until like the fifth round, I would be shocked if they draft a guy. I agree on paper. This should be the best corner room in the NFL, right? Banyan Mitchell, Reek Woolen, Cooper DeGene, incredible starting group. If Reek Woolen pla ys close to what he's been you've been watching, you've been grinding a little tape, right? Yeah, well, EJ texted me to ask like, you know, is what are what are they gonna do with uh I think he said on the show that he that he texted me to ask. I was in I was in Mexico on a beach and I got sacred and it was like is a requel in gonna play boundary or field? And you droppppeded ever everythingything.. Dro Brian at the son a little bit walk into the ocean. Yeah, yeah. Emily saved him. It was okay. Um had to hit the film. So it was interesting because there were games where where Witherspoon played to the boundary and then Job and Dreek Woolen rotated to the field. There were other games where it was the opposite. And it was hard for me to tell what made it what. Now in the playoff s, Reek Willen was very clearly the field corner. Witherspoon was playing to the boundary and then Witherspoon would go into the slot when they played dime, but even then Job would play to the boundary and Willen would play play to the field. If that pattern continues, Quinyon Mitchell played to the boundary all of last year, then you would have Quinyon boundary requell in field. Let me remind everyone though, 2024, Slay played on the left and Gwenony played on the right all season. And I think Vic probably prefers that, where they just know like which side they're on rather than boundary field. Probably right. Um so if he sees Rek Willen as being like a sleigh level reliable corner, then we could go back to left right as well. So yeah, we'll we'll we'll see. You think Keely Ringo makes the team? Very good special team. I think if he is not traded, then he makes the team. Okay. Yes. Jonathan Jones, Mac McWilliams, not to be confused with Mac McCain. Tariq Castro Fields. That's a guy that people around don't know. Yeah. Jacorian Bennett. No way he makes the team, right? Yeah, it would be a surprise. He was so b ad. I mean he was so, so b ad. Who knows? Fran's gonna tell you he knew it all all along. Well, Fran was right. Uh Am Ambry Thomas is the other guy. And Mac McCain. Mac McCain. What what's he doing these days? I don't know. Oh hosting a podcast, probably. And a Dory Jackson, not brought back, number given away. I think we can say that Y es. Well, we've got one more position to talk about if we don't count special teams, professor, and we're gonna do it in overti me. The one spot where we don't know who wouldn't start today if the season started. Yeah. You got Drew McCuba, Marcus Epps, and Michael Carter, and then you've also got JT Gray, Andre Sam, and the great Brandon Johnson. Do you think Brandon Johnson is a safety on their internal depth chart? I think today he is. I don't know if that he will become training cam p if he makes it that far. So Michael Carter, my understanding is that the team is is making a push to let people know that he's a safety in their eyes and that he's a candidate at safety. EJ has reported as such. Okay. Uh now in this setting, right, I th I wanted to go back and remember what Vic Vangio has said about Michael Carter. So he arri ves by a trade at the deadline, November thirteenth. Vic has asked about him. He says, Yeah, I think he's a good nickel. That's his best position. He's learning the nuances of our defen se. Everything's totally new for him. More to learn, but I like him. If we need another nickel, he's going in. Two weeks later, he's asked about Michael Carter. He says he's a good player, a good natural football player, understands the game, good extinctions, good technique. We're pleased to have him. Next, he's asked on the same day, do you see him in the mix at safety? And Vic says he's gone into these last few games as our fourth saf ety. And then in the Dallas game, when Makuba uh gets hurt, game could have gone to overtime. Vic said, Yeah, if we had kept going, Carter would have been playing safety and Cooper to Jean would have been the nickel. Later. That means that he jumped over somebody in the interim. Right. And then l ater we had the snaps of one safety on the field, or like Epps coming off and Carter coming on, where they were playing man coverage and Carter was basically playing like a second slot. So that's where we were. Now if it's a camp battle between Marcus Epps and Michael Carter, with Drew McCuba as the other safety. That's somewhat interesting because the Michael Carter advantage over Marcus Epps is that he's better in man coverage, that he's better closer to the line of scrimm age. Before Drew Makuba got hurt last year, when Vic played man coverage, which if you recall, he played a lot more last year than he did the year before, it was almost always Makuba as that man coverage safety on the tight end with Reed playing in the post. And so if you already have that guy who can play man coverage, do you need a second guy who's going to be good at man coverage? Like do you really want Makuba and Michael Carter as your two gu ys, one young guy and one guy who's never really played safety. Yeah. Or do you want the veteran presence of Marcus Epps? Like my feeling is I think I'd rather I'd feel more comfortable with Marcus Epps out there. Especially because based on everything that everyone said last year, with Jahad Campbell and with Drew Makuba, both on the field. Now they'll both be second years, not rookies this time, but you kind of need a veteran to make sure everyone's lined up right and all those things. Now Michael Carter's a veteran too, but like there's just uh there's more theoretical upside to Michael Carter because he hasn't done it, because he's young er. There's a possibility that this could be the position that is is right for him. And he's never been asked to do it and he sees it really well. But to have that paired with sort of certainty of what you're going to get from Marcus Epps if he stays healthy is I think that's a f that's a fine pairing for guys to compete. I still think I would be surprised if they don't add somebody el se. In the draft? Or eit her. Trade? Yeah . Guys on the street are like Jabril Peppers. No, the street's not moving the needle. No. Yeah, Jabril Peppers, Harrison Smith, who I can't imagine is going to play for another team. Uh Donovan Wilson. That's right. That's right. Donovan Wilson, Xavier Woods, Kyle Duggar, Jordan Poyer, Chuck Clar k, Taylor Taylor Rapp might be the most interesting name. I mean, yeah, it's not. Yeah. I'm I'm I'm this is the position that I'm most surprised at. Well you you opened the show saying I thought Howie did a great job and all that. Like this is the one where I'm just like eyes open. Have I been sinking? Are you really not willing to pay Reed Blankenship? Eight million a year just to keep the leadership and the the steadiness. While paying Andy Dalton four. And while paying Braden Mann like a lot of money to be an average league league average punter. Yeah. Um I'm just a little bit I was a little bit confused by that. I understand philosophically, like in an ideal world, you're able to replace guys like Reed Blank and Chip. I I get that. At the same time, like given that we're talking about this could be the last year of Vic and the last year of this defense being good and Reed was such an important part of it, and you're already letting Nakoby go, letting those two guys who are kind of like the the the brains of the defense on the field, like both go and not replacing them with you know like high-level players. Yeah. It seems like a dangerous way to do it . And yet here we are. Question in the chat for you, Professor. How are we feeling after yesterday's w in for Turkey? Yeah. It was a very um nerv nerve-wracking 90 minutes for me. Uh, and you know, we haven't been in the World Cup in twenty four years. Twenty four years. I was twenty four years old when we got to the semis got to the semis in two thousand two and had had some heartbreaking post losses since Tunjai was um not on that team. Not on that team. He he joined right after the Euro semifinals in two thousand eight. Lost in the playoffs to Switzerland two thousand six. Haven't really come close since uh to getting into the World Cup. Now with this expanded format, there are a couple more teams coming in from Europe, but not that many more. Um play against Kosovo on Tuesday for a chance to get in. And then you if you play they play in this thirteen thousand person stadium in in Kosovo that looks like my high school uh my high school's football stadium. I mean like it looks tiny and uh I I'm worried that the atmosphere there is gonna be that's real conca calf vibes for you. Just like real bounce of a weird Yeah. I mean we have plenty of those games in Europe too. Like you play San Marino, you play Liechtenstein, you know, like and and and the Turkish team tends to have a lot of trouble in those games. I remember losing to Malta uh you know, uh games like that. So uh it yeah, I'm a little concerned. Lost to Latvia in a in a playoff to get into Euros in into the Euros in um two thousand four . This is the most talented Turkish national team I think ever. Um really? Yeah, because like the the top three players are like all like incredible. Like you know, you'll get like Ken Angildez is like one of the best players on Juventus. Like Artegular is like a regular on Real Madrid now. Like um Hakan Charl Hanwulu has been like a really good player. Uh there's a there's a Karioglo. Yeah, Fardi Fardi's very good. Like they work really well together. There's no real striker presence like playing with like a like a false nine now but yeah I think I think we should be fine against Kosovo and if we if we get past that I think we'd be the best team in in that group as well. Oh shots fired. It's an easy gro up. It's an easy group. W ow. Yeah, you got two non soccer two non soccer countries in Paraguay. I mean, yeah. Uh we have a super chat, I bel ieve. From Matthew Greenwo od. How reasonable of a move would it be for Alvin for to trade a day three pick for Alvin Kamara into this backfield as more of a backup receiver in the backfield. You might need that time machine to make that make sense. I'm not seeing the need for Alvin Kamara. No. No offense. Not eit her. So yeah . And plus he has a real contract too. That's it. Yeah. Thank you, Matthew. Though bringing up Alvin Kamara makes me wonder if this offense will finally throw the ball to the running back this year. Well probably not. No . I had one other take I was I was hoping to get off my jest at some point this week and I kept forgetting about it. You seen the whole Cam Scaliboo thing? Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah where they like you know what is he says CT doesn't exist and Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sor ry. Cam Scanabu does not need to like apologize for this tick. Cam Scanabu is a moron. Everybody knows he's a moron. Why do we care what he's saying ? You know what I me an? This is not like I think I think I think this is a much bigger issue problem that sometimes you don't have to care what the morons say. You're saying it's the audience's fault for for amplifying and caring about Cam Scanaboo. Let him sh let him say it into the void. Nobody needs to report on the fact that Cam Scadaboo is a dumb gu y. There are lots of dumb people out there whose opinions we don't need to know. And especially don't need to care about. He's gonna type up a a uh an apology which is only gonna make him feel more d umb and more attacked for being dumb guy ? This is a guy who's like his whole personality is his teammates calling him a moron. Well, who cares what he th inks? I hear ya. I mean, this is a commentary on society, really. This isn't Cam Scadaboo. I well yes. Ye ah. Nothing should really be about Cam Scadabo o. I agree . Let the dumb people be dumb. Just don't give them positions of power. What's his deal by the way? Is he gonna play this year? Probably not. That was gruesome. The injury. H mm. Alright. His brain was okay though. Yeah, I mean how do you how do you how do you give him a uh concussion test? That's a tough one . I I've never met the guy, I'm not gonna not gonna say an ything. Alright. Uh good stuff, everyb ody. Just Jake Elliott is the rolling into the weekend. We've now mentioned every player.. Oh Oh, you said Breadman. How do you how do you feel about going into the uh no long snapper wilderness? Oh how he loves how he nothing how he loves more than like not having a Brown's been on that on that uh circuit. He's gonna like not have a long snapper week one either, I bet. He loves he loves the practice squad shenanigans with long snapper. It's gonna be and punter. He's done it with punter in the past. Ye ah. All right, thank you, Et han. Thank you, Professor. Uh a rem inder. EJ and I will be with you for a live show. We're expecting around ten or eleven Eastern time on Sunday night. So don't miss it. You guys meeting Howie at a bar or somet hing? Not not a lot to say. Well, it's three hours of it's a three-hour time. Oh, it's Arizona. Yeah, yeah, I forgot. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I almost missed my flight after the Super Bowl from back from Arizona because I didn't realize the time difference was because of daylight savings is weird there or something. There was like something they do it for only half the year. Yeah. My flight was like an ho ur. They don't change, and I didn't realize so so I thought the game but you were already there. No, but I thought the game when I bought my flight, I thought the Super Bowl was at 3:30, but it was at 430. So I was wrong about when the game was. Okay. So the game ended like an hour later than I thought. And then we almost couldn't get an Uber afterward. Feldman had to hide he Feldman hijacked somebody else's Uber. Yeah. Um Did I ever tell you on the show that I met Feldman's brother? He came and introduced himself at Redding Terminal. Oh, Redding Terminal, you're not on the show. You mentioned up the show. Yeah. Shout out to Feldman's brother. Shout out. To Feldman's brother, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. The the thing I think of with Feldman's brother, Feldman is a great story where he and his brother went to a San Francisco Giants game and they sat in the outfield and they just thought they had like normal tickets. But it was Bring Your Dog Day and they were in the dog section. So everybody else in the section had a dog which they did not enjoy at all. So they actually like went and they they went and complained and I think they said they were allergic or something even though they're not. And and they got like uh they got like comped like really nice seats. Great. Yeah. So that's what I think of when I think of Feldman's brother. So yeah, shout out. Both of them know how to make plays. I like that. I have to tell Feldman to listen to the episode now because he gets brought up. I will not tell him in what minute he gets brought up. That's good. Hopefully it's a yeah, you just now you gotta tell him later and then we don't talk about him at all on that. We'll just keep him on his toes. There you go. All right. Thanks everybody. Enjoy the weekend. We will talk to you Sunday night, and as always, we love you.
