You've got a Bravo finale You have a new season of a Netflix doc series that you all love, a true crime doc. A good friend of mine texted me and said This is like an essential thing for each weekend. I gott to look back at your list And I'm so glad to hear that because I know so many of you work so hard throughout the week, whether it is in a corporate job or if you're Wrangling children deserve a little break And so I'm hoping that I'm going to give you something that's thought provoking and also entertaining at the same time So as mentioned, the first thing I want to put on your radar is America Sweethearts Dallas Cowboy Childers You've probably heard me do episodes with Chrisa Rosa. We love this series. We think it's so well done And good news, I will be interviewing one of the chillladers That will probably come next week So if you've been anywhere near social media last summer When season two dropped, you know that this show is an absolute juggernaut for Netflix. And now here we are in season three. It's dropping this Tuesday, june sixteenth All seven episodes at once and Here's the premise for anyone who's new to the DCC universe As I've mentioned before, my daughter's a dancer. so I know enough about this to kind of Get my feet wet. If you're totally unfamiliar I think this is gonna to totally change your mind of what you think a choder is So the show follows the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. And when I say the Dallas Cowboy cheheerleaders, I mean probablyrobably the most iconic Chilan squad in the American sports history. We're talking about an organization that has been a cultural institution since the nineteen seventies A lot of peopleople now I bet go to cowboys games to see the cheerliters newew fans. that maybe suddenly are like, o, I'll check out that sport of football That's why I love the show. It's not only highlighting their incredible athleticism But I think it's dismantling this notion that Cheerlitterers are just like eye candy on the sidelines. It is not that way at all. And Greg, who is the executive producer who's been on the show before He also did cheer and last chance you. So he knows exactly what it takes to tell these incredibly emotional inspiring athlette stories So season three is going to follow the twenty five twenty six squad And it picks up right where the emotional gut punch of season two left off. So we're starting with auditions And we're starting at the absolute beginning where hundreds of women are trying out for what? is only thirty six spots on the team. So this season, you've got thirty returners. there were only six spots And you get to see because we're watching in real time What was happening in the sports universe because the show had really become popular so and They announced the new auditions. They're getting auditions from all over the world. In fact, there's one of the contestants is all the way from Australia So We're talking about the best of the best of the best. So you have Girls who probably grew up dancing who became young women who became athletes Colleges on their college dance teams, professional dancers now, a lot of New York L.A dancers And then you have influencer dancers. So it's running the whole gamut and it is brutal These women are doing two a days. They're getting notes on everything from their technique to the way that they look And this is on top of having full time jobs, which is craziness to me. They're all required to have full time jobs. They can't just be a full time cheerlitter. which is insane. Think about The football players They just go, they show up do their sport. No. And if you think about the amount of attention that the cowboys cheerleadterers are bringing to this Oganization, it's crazy. Now of course, Jerry Jones is the owner of the team. His daughter, Charlotte seems to oversee The overall program, although Judy is the choreographer and Calie kind of is running the team, but Charlotte oversees it And the fact that Charlotte, it's either she's diabolical and she's not giving them the appreciation and the monetary support that they deserve. Or it's Jerry, the father, which I'm going to go with that one and he is not really getting what this Netflix program has done for his team, which by the way, aren't that great and I know I'm saying that as a Philadelphia fan, but like You know, they they need some work So Some of the most recognizable athletes and performers in the country are working second jobs as nurses and teachers and flight attendants and also on this iconic team Again, this is incredible athleticism So we are to follow them all the way through the NFL season. So game day performances, the travel, the public appearances And because Kelly and Judy are at the helm, we're going to get the drama between the senior director and the head choreographer and how they run the organization with an iron fist But they also really, really care about all of these women and it really shines through. You probably remember if you've already seen that seeason two gave us a lot of Rease as kind of like a breakout figure I think that emotionally took a toll on her So I've watched a couple episodes and you're going to see her kind of like step back a little bit. And there are a lot of new faces that I think are really compelling And Again, you have so many people that are so invested in the show. I think it's a lot of pressure on a lot of these women. Ag, have full time jobs, then they're full time dancers And then what it took to promote this show and then I can't even imagine the DMs that you're getting because if you're reich, you're going to get all these young girls who are like, you're such an inspiration and then you have the lunatics and I know this because I've worked in media for ten years and sometimes you get people that send you the most heinous things. and she's put on a global platform. It can be pretty overwhelming, I'm sure So I'm recommending it because not only is it a fantastic window into these great athletes, but you also get the understanding of what it takes to be part of a team like this. throughout an NFL season. I think it is really well shot I think they do a great job of telling each woman's story and If you are a cowboys fan, I will say that Netflix does seem to have a relationship with the Cowboys organization. You've got America's team, the gambler and his cowboys about Jerry Jones. and You can check that out as well So I highly, highly, highly recommend it. And again, I'm going have a dancer on the show soon The Real Housewives of Rhode Island reunion airs on Sunday, june twenty first And it has been quite a season. So It's surprising. It only premiered back in April twelve episodes And of course, the cast was Alicia and Rosie and Ashley. That Ashley, Aa Kennedy from Bachelor Nation Liz Rula who I who I do believe was a friend of the show, but then her husband was having an affair and it became suchuch a big storyline that she had to become a full time Kelsey and Joe Allen. Now remember in the beginning we saw Dolores a little bit. I don't even think she's important to the show, and I doubt we'll see her in the next season. Anyway This season has been built into this moment where there's been a video. There's this apparently scandalous video involving Rula's husband, Brian, who is again a podiatrist and a foot and ankle surgeon. seems to be pretty sleazy. And so there's this video of Brian with an alleged mistress. and Rosie's the one who brings it to Rula's attention And the finale preview gave us this whole storyline about a couple's trip to Block Island, which My friends Kelly and Josh say is so beautiful, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway If you don't know, Block Island is this very tiny, gorgeous eleven square mile retreat. It's about twelve miles off the coast. So obviously, it's a beautiful setting for this absolute chaos whichich of course, is very on brand for this franchise The reunion trailer has already dropped. It opens with Kelsey shutting down some gold digger and escort accusations. related to the breakup with the guy that we remember, Sarah Galley me saying the same thing, but we're going call him redacted And then apparently, Rula is finally going to address the affair rumors about her husband. and apparently she does it with tears, which is weird because she's so stoic, which makes me believe they don't wantan to get divorced because they know too much about each other or something's going on Hopefully we're gonna get full confrontation arc. sad that the show is coming to an end. mayaybe it will prompt them to choose other cities because I really am into full new cast, new places As you know, I kind't get bored by the old ones. The McB familyamily Dynasty, I mentioned it last week. you can watch the premiere. It premieres on the fifteenth. And I wanted to include it because this brand new season, I think there's a lot more to kind of untangle So the tagline going around is that the McB family must scramble to protect their legacy amid, and I love how delicately Bravo phrases this amid possible prison sentences and pregnancies. So that's quite a bit. So if you're not familiar with this show, this is one about a big sprawling multi generational family business I want you to thank rodeo culture, ranch life, family hierarchy, old patriarchs, and then ambitious younger generations. And that is the show. So you've got the patriarch who was married for quite some time. He had four sons with his wife. They gets divorced He's pretty transparent, like, I don't want to get married again. I've been I'm in a phase of my life where I just want hook upp all the time. However, in this season One He starts hooking up with Galina, who is part of the staff of this family business, which, of course and like, where' the HR So that causes t of difficult conversations and chaos. She can't stand it that he's sleeping with other women. Then you have all of the sons who obviously have had to listen to their father complain about women for quite a bit of time coming off the divorce And then you get to see each of them in relationships. Now Stehven Jior really is kind of at the helm of the next generation And we knew him from reality TV years ago for Hot Mute and then the opportunity presented to have the family have a show. You can go back and listen to my interviews with Stephven and his father And I was one of those people that really thought it was a new and different show. And so season three is interesting because The father is now in prison So there's that. Lots of legal situations The family is growing. I'm cracking up that everyone's having daughters because it was, you know, four sons and this like rough and tough world. so that's kind of funny So I'm telling you just take a peek in Watch it for an episode.
