Hope that you had a great weekend and I hope that you were looking forward to this week. I've got some great episodes for you with great guests And make sure that you check out the What to watchatch list because there's lots of great stuff for you to watch this week as well Now, this episode, Brian Moylan is back with me, we had to talk about the first part of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island reunion. We've been so thrilled with this season. And I've had the best time talking to him throughout the season about the different episodes and the different cast members and their storylines And we love a reunion Reunions are Fascinating. Number one, they're filmed on a set that often looks like a Disney movie. They're dressed up like they're in escapades. and that makes the situation even more funny to see people arguing while they're in like An elder prom dress, it just never gets old Now the whole point of a reunion is supposed to be closure. It's meant to be some sort of wrap up So Andy's supposed to sit down with the cast and they answer the questions the viewers have been asking all season. They clean the air And then everybody's supposed to go home. And that is the idea, but that is not always what happens What actually happens is that these women are asked to litigate conflicts that took place months ago, sometimes six, seven, eight months earlier And in that time Everything has changed. Not the facts. Now the facts are usually the same But the feelings about the facts have been completely contaminated Because between the time that something happened and the time that they sit down at the reunion Every single one of these women has been marinating in the feedback So their friends of opinions, their families of opinions, their publicists have opinions theirir Instagram followers have opinions, their TikTok followers have opinions. and all of that gets absorbed So by the time that Andy says, now let's talk about what happened on that trip They're answering is not responding based on what they felt at the moment. They're responding based on what their best friend told them to feel theirir mother, what she said at dinner, you know, that'sue in Alicia's case or maybe some of her aunts, what forty thousand strangers said in the comments section So that's what makes reunions so combustible. So if you're not watching two people hash out a real time disagreement, you're really watching are two people who have spent months Building a case, they are gathering evidence, collecting allies, they are rehearsing their arguments And now they're presenting those cases in front of the audience although it's filmed, you know, weeks before, but it's in front of an audience. They want to convince you of their argument So it's not really conflict resolution. It's almost like appellate court in prom dresses And every single one of them believes that they are the victim because they have spent months surrounded by people who told them that she was right And that is what makes it all the more fun. And then in the second part, which we can look forward to next week They bring out all of the men And that only shapes it and shifts it in the most interesting way. So that's why we were thrilled to talk about the first part of the Real Housewives of Rhode Island reunion. If you have not watched this show beg of you to take One day this weekend, this week and just binge watch a bunch of episodes. I don't think it's essential that you have to watch every single episode of the entire season because you're going to get a feel for it right out of the gate And again, I'm so thrilled that Brian is back with me. So here is my interview with Brian Moylin. Dan. Hey, Casey, how's it going? It's great, and I'm really happy to see you because I have to say I really enjoyed the Real House Winds of Rhode Island reunion Part one. What about you Me too, though I mean, I think it was a very good enjoyable reunion, but I think we were seeing a lot of what people should not be doing at reunions. which is why I think I liked it Right. Everyone is like too practice and rehearsed now and you some newbies like making rookie mistakes. At least nobody my biggest thing. The thing that I hate the most is people who wear stand up dresses to a reunion. You know what I'm talking about?ike a dress?very, Yes. Yeah only looks good standing up like Gent Telly's face dress, genius. But then she sits on the couch, she can's sit there looks stupid. you know, ye. So at least nobody was wearing a stand up dress Well, my first question is about actually about what they're wearing. Now you have covered every aspect of this show in your bestselling book, New York Times best seselling book Thank you. Talk to me a little bit about the decision that goes into the set and also what they wear So what they wear, they do Everyone except for Beverly Hills That's like a brief where it's like yellow or white or, you know, whatever, so that they'll look kind of cohesive And so this seemed to be kind of like a sea foam kind of situation And everyone did well except for Kelsey, like you see Kelsey is wearing what we would call Ramona blue. Yes. and it doesn't match any of the other ladies because she heard blue, but it's like, no not that blue. It's like a sea foam blue, green, like pastelly, you know, whatever. So Kelsey fucked it all up as usual Um, so that and I I don't know this for a fact, but I would assume that they are getting the dresses approved. That is I know that to be true. So they'll give them like two or three options and they'll say go with that one Yeah. I also know that they pay for hair and makeup for the reunion, which they don't for the rest of the season, or at least the women get like some kind of stipend to pay their people or whatever. But then if they're choosing to pay for those people to travel, I'm sure that's coming out of their own pockets I mean, I would love if Alicia did everybody sair for the reunion. Would that be great? Yeah, that would have be like yeah turn her backstage, get everybody ready. Ian Krack is. Um And so for the set, I mean, I think they want it to be something like from the season, et ccetera. And now they all kind of like look the same. They're all very ornate. But if you remember like in the early days, some of those sets were Like that All white one with the chandeliers from New Jersey. like some of them And they can't do a white couch because of the spray tan. because I remember get right. Jenny Armstrong told me she was so mad they filmed in her house and she had white couches. and when all the housewives left, there was stain marks from the spray tans Yes. And there was one year where they did a white couch and they had to buy it or pay for it because they like ruin the rental furniture. But they used to do them in locations too, like The Russian Ta rooom was the first one that of New York. Yeah. and they in New Jersey they did a lot of theaters. Now they do them all on sound stages. and they used to they used to move Andy to the ladies and now they bring the ladies to Andy. So it's either in L.A or New York. And they have a sound stage and they're just on the sound stage doing that. Was there part of you that wondered as Jo Allllen walked across that plank that there is a possibility that maybe production didn't you nail everything down and she might fall through the planks into that pond. Oh my God, I would have loved nothing more than a housewife like falling off into the water That would have been hilarious. I can't think of like an onset disaster since the time Andy Cohen got attacked by a bird. Do you remember that? was theange Gion? Yeah. like there's some bird hiding in the rafters coming for Andy Cohen Some like, you know, Bethany fan just mad Andy. Well for this reunion, you know, this was filmed what last year. So they've had a lot of time to think about what they say at reunion. and you've said that they've made an immense amount of mistakes. So let's kind of like walk through some of the things Number one, Rula looks different. What are your thoughts about getting plastic surgery between seasons and revealing that new look on a reunion I mean, I'm fine with it. I think that if it makes you feel good about yourself and you want to ch, you know, your body your choice, girl, like go crazy. A I a fan of what she's done? Not particularly. And it seems to be You know, you see some those jobs that look Not that wild. But Rola seems to be making a lot of difference on her face That's true. There's a part of me that gets sad too because a woman may join this show and then watch the show back and then read the hllacious comments that people streamers make to you. And if you are sending a housewife a DM telling her that she looks disgusting May you sit in a vat of oil at some point in your life. You're a horrible person. I don't like that part of it that I feel like a lot of the decisions are made because someone has convinced them that they are not attractive enough in some way Well, and especially because like look at what we did to Vicky, you know, we were like, you know, fans would be like, oh, Vicky's Vicky's face is gross. She's ugly. She's miss. Pinkgy and Slate smiley's piling on her and whatever. And then she goes and gets all this plastic surgery and then they're like we're like Vicky ruined face. Vicky looks terrible. Why you have so much plastic surgery? You know, there's like no winning And so I would like to think that some of it is just You see yourself on television, you're seeing yourself in a different way and you're like, oh, I could improve certain things about yourself. I know When I see myself on camera, sometimes I'm like, girl you lose some weight. You need to find your angles better, you know, whatever. So I'm assuming there might be some of that, but I think you're right. There's also a lot of people telling them they look crazy or whatever. But I can't imagine someone telling Rola I mean, she looked great before I don't Yeah. Yeah. like and I mean, I think she looks good now. I mean it seemed It seemed more drastic than some of the other nose jobs that we've seen You know, particularly between seasons I just I hope they stopp doing that because they all look great And I love the way that they all kind of looked alike. I know that they took issue to the fact They didn't see that they all looked alike, but I mean They all look great. Well, and they were saying that Rosie and Kelsey looked alike and that one I never saw. It's just that they're both young, I guess. I don't know. And the brown hair And the brown hair. Yeah Okay, let's talk about why the show works and in terms of why the reunion works for for me, it's because Liz says from the very beginning, she's known Alicia and she can't remember when she was born This show works so well because they know every single nuance of one another's life. It's not like they're downownloading all this information you know, the first couple of weeks the filming, there trying to figure each other out. They know so much about each other, all of their relatives. And that I think makes an even better reunion No, absolutely. but I do think that there's I think that them knowing each other so thoroughly is what makes the show great And I think that In these small town, smaller city atmospheres, I call it the Southern chararm effect where it's like they're the only famous people around them. and so everybody's gossiping to them about each other and they are all at the same events and they have to spend more time together. It's different than like in Atlanta or New York or Beverly Hills because it's like they don't have to see each other except when they're filming and you know, it's not the same. I do think we're seeing some one of my least favorite things is newew evidence at the reunion, like things we didn't see. It's because if they're talking about the things that we saw We've seen both sides of the story, We have some judgment on it. That's what's fun about watching these shows when Joellen and Kelsey are on the couch saying, Rosie, you were in the police report. We know the police told us about it, right? Right, right. And so I think that that's something that's only going to happen in a small town. But also like we haven't seen that. They're saying it's true. Rosie says it's not I mean, who, so what you end up doing is just believing the housewife you like the most in the first place. So If you're team Rosie, you're like, I believe Rosie should didn't do it. If you're team Kelsey, you're like, oh my God, Kelsey has the police report. like she talked to the cops about it. And so yeah, it's like unless you're gonna bring that police report on a fucking poster board or in a binder or whatever the fuck Like ye, I don't want to hear about it. Like if I can see it Then it means nothing to any of us. And so and that's what I mean, these kind of like rookie mistakes where it's like talking about things we haven't seen, bringing new evidence, bringing, oh, well, this is what I know about you. And Rolla' doing the same thing with Joe Allen where she's like, you sleep with all these doctors. It's like, bitch, we don't like ye, we don't know any of this. L where is this coming from? You're crazy But it also helps that they are not rich and famous at this point because if it had been housewives in a major city, it would have been, I'm going get the top lawyer to come after you or come after your husband. This is just like small town stuff Absolutely. Yes. It's like that pod guess normal gossip. You know what I mean? It's just like the gossip that's around town. and I fucking love that shit. And you know, I'm from a smallolish New England town You know, these are the kinds of things you would hear about. Oh, he's sleeping with all the doctors. Oh she's, you know, whatever. And how much of that was true or wasn't true? whoo knows, but it's fun to talk about. It's fun to see them go through it. I wonder What the fame is going to do to everybody. I wonder what' what season two looks like. I think it's already like not going to be great for Liz. and I think it's not going to be great for Jo Ellen. everyveryone else, let's see to Jo Ellen, she says she's not going to work anymore. She's going to be a stay home mom. I mean yeah you because you're making enough money now to cover what you did in your job, if not more through influence and a salary on the show. Yes. Well, and she already has a social media girl that we heard about And like they're all planning this to be their next career st. Yeahah, she's like, I'm going to be a stay at home mom. justust like when Emily Simpson decided she was going to be a stay at home mom. It's like Are you really stay at home moming, Emily? No.. You're stay at home housewiving. and that means You know, filming twice a day and going on trips and whatever for three months in the year and then spending the rest of your time at home. That's when she says Jo Ellen says, it became too much. What she's really saying is I can't film and work and do all these and make cameos and doos. She's probably notaking enough money in cameo money to cover what she made as a base salary. You know, Eactly. on whatever Yeah was So do you do you believe do you think that the reason she got let go from her job had anything to do with Brian and Roola No, I don't think so at all. I think she I don't think she was probably let go because she wasn't available enough. Thank y Do you do this for a living? Is this your you know full time job or is being a housewife on a TV show your full time job Right But also we have seen how like Ashley said Audreys is now bumping because of the show. You know, having Jo Ellen as somebody who works on the show even a little bit less might be good for business It would be great for business. So that was a big mess on the part of her employer, whoever that person may be You want to have her filming scenes where she's going to office to office. but I think the real the truth lies in. I really don't want to be chilling Botox and Med sppa accessories. I want to just, you know, kind of be a TV star full time. No I don't believe it to be true I choose to believe that Jo Ellen and Gary are swingers they' if they are swingers, they're probably the most like they're top tier swingers. hundred percent. They Yes, they are like The couple, everyone else is out like, o, if only we could hook up with Joel and Gary. like you know police, fingers crossed. Yeah, but I choose to believe it. L the evidence kind of fits and seems like, you know, what I love a modern arrangement. like swing away, sister, like go for it. So yeah, in my mind, Dare swingers. Ming something new isn't just hard, it's actually kind of terrifying. So much work goes into this thing that you're not entirely sure will work out, and it can be hard to make that leap of faith. Trust me, I know. When I started this podcast I wasn't even sure what I was doing. What if no one listens? I can see how that is the kind of thing where like she said, oh, it was a student reporter. L there was some reporter People kind of decided it was her. They keep repeating that story. Everybody hears that story. And like I choose to believe that Garary and Joel on her swingers, people chose to believe that she had an affair with that coach. Yeah, even if he did You know, great. I will say there are two crazy things about that story. I looked up who the coach was Yeah And he apparently got suspended for after he lost the game, throwing a water bottle and it hit a kid in the stands and like wid Yeah. Injured with o like a full heavy water bottle. L ye, that's bad, that's bad. Yeah So he threw a water bottle and hit a kid. and The other there was something else that I was gonna say, I don't know. Anyway, I don't remember, but it was oh no that Dave Portinoy keeps talking about it. No he does I see the videos. He does. stay out of Bravo. Dave Portoy, this is twice now. I don't want you keep your booy sports to the booy sports, stay out of our girls sports. We don't want you herear, Dave Portinoy, please go away Well, I love the part where the like I don't believe that she was having an affair because she's too ugly Thiss that guy I know. He's not attractive. I will say No.'s I mean, and it's easy to find him on the internet if you want to go and look for it. But like I totally believe Rosie being like, I have never met that man. I do not know that man. Like ye, Yeah. She should have said something like, you guys look so stupid for perpetuating this dumb story. I literally have never met him before. You look like morons. She should have played it better that way Yes. And and I think that like she said it was it was like his leaving coincided with her taking medical leave from the show. And so I think it's just coincidental Yeah whatever. I'm more likely to believe that she was sleeping with some guy at the station than I am that she was having this affair with this basketball coach. One thing I do love about her is the way she exaggerates the fame of her network We had the top, we had the top news station. We had the top weather report. I do respect somebody who has a great affinity for her workplace Absolutely. But I do remember and I mean, that this was a long time ago when you know we knew all the local news people. and our local news lady when I was a kid was Gail Kang. She was on the like hard news. Yeah. And it was like you'd go to like a minor leag baseball game and there' would be Gail Kang just like sitting there and it was like a celebrity. It was like, holy sh there Gail Kang I know now I'd also be like, holy shit there's Go King, but You know, a different reason. So yeah. So like I both but I loved how at the beginning of the season she was like, the only people who watch us are your grandparents. So like everyone's grandfather has crush on me. Right. Like that is cute and funny and I totally believe. Yeah I mean, now she could move into like an Alexis Bellino adjacent category where she could try to be a weather girl in other parts of the country or maybe on goodood Morning America, like do a short stint. And then we would find out that Kelsey was also asked to deliver the weather report of sensation. Oh my God, I hope they bring back Malibu Country just so they can both audition for fuc roles on Malibu Country. Absolutely with the two of them Yeah. I enjoy their feud. I think it's good. I wives. Yeah. Yeah. like I'm here for all of. And I think they both did a great job. L I think Rosie continues to defend herself. Eelseie continues to not really apologize. like and that's what I think is great when They are giving us exactly what we saw in the show. You know what I mean? Like we can tell that that is a real person Roller went from, oh, I can't film. I'm sick. Oh don't talk to me. I'ma. I'm not in it to being like, shut your fucking mouth, Jo Ellen. It's like, okay, one of these is a lie. And and that's the problem. So is this the lie or is the old rule the lie, but you are not the same person. No And good on, Jo Allllen, I guess it was, Joe Ellen for pointing out, why are you here? You've only been in three episodes. Good point. Te, Tip of the haveviser to you, my friend. Absolutely, right. And it's like, oh, you wantan to play housewives? You should have been playing housewives all season. Instead, you were having some like psychooststematic breakdown because your husband's a cheater and everybody fucking knows about it. And like, And I find this whole thing so annoying because she's so mad at Jollen and Joellen didn't do anything to her Like, yeah. Joan just pointed out that your husband is fucking ter. The the way it goes when your husband a horrible person and you don't want to leave them, the person that highlights it is the bad person and then they want to retaliate and take you down. It's a tale as old as time and it happens in every place and that's why people love the show because it's like I know a horrible woman like that Really Absolutely You time have been like, okay, you've pointed out to me fourteen times that your husband's horrible. Are you going to leave him or not And maybe you're in conversation like, Yeahah, the guy's horrible. She can complain and complains about all the time But when they get win that you said that, then you're the problem, notot the cheating husband, not the Conard husband, not the person who's too aggressive with other people You're the problem for calling it out My God, awful. I can't wait for Brian to be up on there. I can't wait to see how he weasels out of this bullshit. I mean, it's wild. Will they come back for season two? they will I feel like they're if they don't, they're going to have so many debts that they're going to have to pay backack or I'm telling you, my theory, I'm still sticking to it. I think they are together because their financial business situations are too intertwined I don't think there's real love there. I think it's a partnership And they probably hook up with other people on the side The swingers like Jo. Mbe. And you know I have said many times, like do swingers really exist in the world? And I think they may exist in the state of Rhode Island. one hundred percent. Did I tell you about the swwingers Club in my hometown? Yes. that was like next to the church. Yeah. and they like busted up because they were using the church parking lot. Yeah, no, I think it totally exists I was joking, but I kind of believe it like I could see almost all of them being swingers except for Ashley and Jared. They are not are they or not No. No. But like Joan and Gary, Liz and Jerry, Rola and Brian, I mean, come on. like there's stuff happening in Rhode Island. And they're the kind of people that if they even came forward and said we're all swingers, we would all go Okay, well that tracks Yeah Oh I get it. I get it. I loved This is a story where she was like Jerry and I were separated. I was out on Block Island. I made out with this guy who was my ex boyfriend from thirty years ago, hoping it would get back to him to like make him mad. you know, whatever. And I was like, genius. ye And oh my but Rollla Two things thought that annoyed me. One was Rola and Brian callalling Jry tell about I know they did. I know they they absolutely did. Yeah. And then her being mad that Jo Ellen is doing that to her. And so it's like, fuck you. And also I hate the Well, I've heard other things well, I don't want to say it. It's like it's like the Kim Richurns, let's talk about the husband. It's like more damning to have some vague nonsense out there than Yeahah. and I loved when Liz said, if like talk on it so I can address it. Don't do this fucking pussy fooot bullshit around it and fucking su None of us want to hear that rolla. like fucking bring it or shut up. Well, that's why I think they're silent killers because I think again, they have so many businesses intertwined and I feel like they're pretty ruthless. So they may be the kind of people that may call and try to sabotage you, but you have no clue N hundred Aless. Yes No, L they didnent to jo and he like calls the boss and is like, you should fire this girl. Yeah, they fucking suck. I hate them It know that I want them back. They seem like too toxic. It's too it's giving to email style Like I know. You know Oh I don't want it. I think there's never been a better Exple, Yes. those they are of the same milk. Yes, you are correct Yeah. I think my favorite My favorite quote of the night was the only other coworker you have ever had is a woman in Florida. Fair. acccurate Gant Excellent work for Rotate. Yes. Pplanted? Yes. But somehow I didn't mind it. Also yes. Yeah.. Well, and it was in the delivery. I think it was in the delivery too. Even though she had thought about it for maybe ten and a half months, she made it seem as if she hadn't hundred percent and and she deployed it at the right moment. It wasn't there's the door shannonad door where there was no door L you know what I mean? It was yes, it was right. And that's why same thing with Joe Ellen's Read against Rlla about I don't recognize you. You're only on two episodes. It's like when it hits, it hits and's like Kelsey has nothing to say. It's like, you're right. Yeah you're right. You busted and you got me. Yeah. and that's why this other like bullshit about the That we can't tell is true about the police report and about Joe Ellen sleeping with doctors or whatever It's like we don't know. we can't judge whether or not that's true. so it doesn't land because it could be true, it could not be true. Like who knows? it's toss up. You really can only talk about things that have existed on the show. For example, they need to ask Kelsey Moore about whether or not this relationship with Billy is actually real or not Yes That's what I want to know Well, then there was also that whole thing with Liz And being a setup and some like voice notes that Joellen sent and you're like, Okay we haven't heard these voiceses. We're not in the group chat. like what are you talking about? And That whole argument really annoyed me because This would not be the first time the housewives planned what they were going to talk about on the show. For sure. And it might have even been the producer telling Alicia When you're in the car, bring up that you had this conversation with your mom about which your dad? I was surprised they kept it because I thought that was kind of alluding to producer involvement. I don't understand why they included that Correct. And then but the thing is Liz freaked out that they planned it. Even if they planned it, if Liz hadn't doubled down on her being homeless and being a jerk to Alicia, there wouldn't have been a fight. Even if it was a trap, it is a trap that Liz walked into. And so you can't be mad at the trap. you have to be mad at yourself for like seeing the trap and still going there. U Yeah, so I don't believe or care. And then Lis is like Joellen is the greatest psychopath in the world. She's something my soul rejects. It's like because of that. But then you find out youad about it? She called her and it was like, it's Mother's Day you w want to hang out. I'm like you sound like a sociopath Yeah, she sounds crazy. And I think yeah, I think season two Liz is not going to be great. I don't know that she's going to have many allies. I don't know that people are going to want to hang with her. She's looking unhinged Do we think that she spent most of the duration of filming for season high Because there seems to be this pattern where she says things and doesn't remember it. That would be true. She says she doesn't maybe I dreamt this, but I remember her saying that she doesn't like smoke a lot of weed, but I also find that to be hard. She had a cat named Ganji. So Mbe she just takes too many gummies. I mean, yeah, who knows But yeah, maybe that's it. I don't I don't know. Maybe she just chooses to not remember things selectively. I also thought the voice note stuff, she's saying, you being you're all being too performative. Just try to be real. But then I thought they're all performative. So that they kind of lost span that one too Well and also I think that her calling them out and bringing this stuff up seems more performative than them exacting themselves. And like Alicia's right like, o, you think I'm an actress, you should give me an Academy award. Like Alicia seems incapable of being anything but exactly herself. ag. And so I don't im like imagine Alicia, who calls it the Jane Sonda, like coming up with some plot where she has to like act and like ent trap liiz, you know, that doesn't seem like part of her character. And that's why what I mean when You know, Liz brings this new shit about the voicemails and we're like, okay, we're gonna to believe Alicia because we like her more and she seems more real than you. You know what I mean? It then rather than being a referendum on the truth, it becomes a referendum on the people's perception of you. That is something you could lose every time. M At this point, we've barely mentioned Ashley and she cried seven times this season, probablyably more camera few. yeah. Yeah it was like That's not even onces an episode I think we need her on the show because she actually shows somebody who's living a normal life Yes. No, I think she's great on the show. I think her I like her and Rosie together. I think Rosie needs friends. And I think Rosie is good at being a housewife I don't think that Ashley is, but I think that she's a utilitarian player. L we need the realness of Ashley around the kind of ground everybody. And so yeah, I don't think she's doing a ton But I like her. It reminds me of early seasons, Doris Catania Yes Heartstone, Sbody normal to facilitate some truth in a situation and also some normalcy Yes, and to like insist that everybody behave a little bit And I think that that right. And so I think it's a good job. and I think it's a necessary job though it is not the flashiest Not the flashiest, but probably the most honest. I mean, the way that she says, it's even more complicated now that Jared's working all the time. and he's not always available. and I'm overwhelmed. And the idea of being alone with my children for five hours is is is is something that I'm not able to do at this point without the help of my mom, very honest Very honest, yes and real and we like that. Be yourselves And we'll love you for it, even if yourself is a little bit boring Yeah But also I've seen clips of her saying, donon't worry about me and don't worry about Jared because we have weathered the famame storm. Most of the people involved in this have never really had this and this is going to be a hard road for them. And this is so normal for us. And I thought, again, tyip advisor to you Absolutely. And I also love when Andy was like Hey, you know, they're mad about posting or not posting. like what do you think about this? And she was like, well, you didn't agree to it. and you know, whatever. So I just like, yeah, she like gave a good honest opinion Yeah, I'm happy that Ashley iss here.. I don't know that she's ever gonna bring the drama in the way that the other girls are. Absolutely. Dino is not even mentioned in the episode. Is this for legal reasons? Did Liz say, donon't you ever bring him up again? What's going on? I think that yes, either Bravo doesn't want it near them anymore and we're like, no Dino talk. or the ladies all decided, we're not talking about Dino. Yeah, I thought that was interesting Because even when Rola is like, oh, we've people are talking about you. We know you've done other things, whatever, nobody said like Dino and his name come up on the show. And so it you're right, it seemed conspicuous in its absence Jo Ellen and her mom and the discussion about her being a wild teen, do you think she was first of all, the idea of turning on a shower, jumping out your window and being gone for hours with the water running really just gives me such agita I think Should John's mother have sent her away? No, no. There is more to this story. There has to be Like And You know, I've seen on Reddit or on Instagram or these other places that we may or may not believe of people who went to high school at OL and saying that she was a bully and she was crazy and everybody was talking about her and she was a problem child and you know, whatever. And so like I don't think she was as innocent as she would like Sid on because you're right, like that story' crazy That doesn't make any sense at all. I really would need to get to the bottom of it. I don't know what's going on, but It is weird too when Liz said, I'm not your mother. I'm not your mother. There's something else going on there too. But it does I did like Joe Ellens's point that Her mother is like Liz and so that they You know, made me think that there's something What's going on Yeah ye. So I think that I've always thought there's more to this story than we're hearing It reminds me of R remember Danielle Cab Bral didn wasn't talking to her brother. and it was like, oh, it's just ' I unfollowed him on Instagram. and we were like Bitch you're crazy. There' more to this story than you're telling us and I want to know I have to know. Like I have to get to the bottom of it. Do you think that they're all terrified of this Yes. I do too. Yeah. I think that they sleep with a knife under their pillow. And I can see you, Liz Be a little like old school Mary Cosby where she's sending you like these ra ani text messages about you're fucking terrible. You're the worst person I ever met. I fucking hate you. I'm gonna tell everybody everything I know about you, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You crossed a line, you're dead to me Don't come these streets? abbsolutely. Yes, and Right. So I think that they're scared of Liz. And I mean, justifiably, Liz seems pretty scary. I mean, look at her pushing Jo Allen's chair and being a dict to her, her freaking out at Kelsey at that party. She seems to have a temper And I would not want to be on the wrong side of that temper. And she must also have gone to the Amanda Petoula School of Pharmaceuticals to just do something to just temper herself for the reunion I believe that she's probably three times a bigger personality outside of the reunion That might be true. Yeah. That might be true. But yeah, she seemed pretty feisty. I hate when she does that like sarcastic little girl voice How you j now Yeah. shut the fuck up, Liz. L like o my God, either bring her don't. It's like Rolla, you know, kind of whispering about these things rise Do you think that there is a Cranston gang Like mafia or just like they said. It's a click. They're all loyal to each other and it goes back to the streets of Cranston. I there does seem to and I think this is why I like Rosie and feel bad for her. It's like Joell, Alicia, Liz, Kelsey are sticking together Yeah and they're like protecting each other. Liz might be on the outside of that after this reunion. But yeah, and that's why like when They were at that dinner table and Kelsey gives Rosie that backcanded compliment. This is the first time you're ever honest and they're all like standitting up for Kelsey. It's like, you all need to realize that what she just said was really fucking goody. But then if're But they don't Well either they don't or they're like we're going to be so loyal that we're not going to say anything Well for what reason? What? What information do you have on each other that is is that crazy that you would protect the other I think it's the thing that we see on New Jersey that it's just like, that's what you do. That's loyalty, stick by our friends. This is how we operate. you know? I think it's like a code You don't break the code. It's not a code I get, but I'm not from the tough streets of Cranon. so And nor am I Do you think it's messed up that Jo Ellen was doing road trip videos? . It's a d It's a dig slightly. Yeah. It's a dig. Yeah. But also Rosie needs to like Rosie does her own road trip. No Of course not. Yeah. Yeah, but I think that if it was more of a parody, I would see it being more of a dayig where it does seem like Joell is just trying to make content and be an influencer. And I can totally see, you know, H social media girl quote, unquote, doing that and ot knowing that it was. Actually imagine Joe Ellen is the kind of person that wants to give you travel advice. Like I feel like that's not an earaine. doubt I don't know what Jon's lane is gonna to be, but it not that. Yeah No. it is not that Okay, we leave with your husband is a slut and then the comment about what's between your legs Just This is what I hate. This is how you do a reunion wrong. likeike where's the evidence? No one else is saying this but you. It's very clear like you have an agenda to make this woman look bad because she's the one who's telling the truth about you and your husband and all that you can do is call her a slut. And this is another read That fucking landed. You think I'm a slut? Y husband's a slut. That was kind that's Absolutely correct. And she's right. and that's why Rola gets so upset because she's fucking dead Like there's nothing you can say to that Now what I love again about this reunion is the way that they've all known each other for so long and the fact that each woman comes with a man for the second part in some way boyfriend or husband has to participate. You can't do that in so many other franchises because they've gotten divorced Maybe at some point, some of the men are refusing. They're still at the stage where the guys are like, we really need this extra income. So I'm going to do you a solid and show up. Yes. It's like remember when Jan Dixon would never show up? Yes. be like the med and Yan Dixon is like coaching a youth basketball game so he could make it today. You know Aolutely Yeah, like it's yes, no, and I like that And I like that they do all have that. and the guys are engaged just enough. You know what I mean? Like it's not like New Jersey where we're getting all these scenes with them by themselves, but they're there. They support their wives. We know who they are. We see them, you know, they're in the scenes with the wives. I think it's really a good balance, but I cannot wait to see what Brian has to say. I' wored either. and I just can't Imagine what this guy' going to be doing in five years from now. Me neither. What I also love is that Brian is so bad at it.. He's so bad at it. It's like we can tell you're lying. It's so obvious. L what you're not even you know, like Brooks airs at least was like charming. and like you maybe you believe him likeike, o, okay, maybe this guy isn't so bad. Brian, you're like, this guy's the fucking dick who's cheating on his wife and lying about it probably has gone through I would assume he's in his forties. forty years of his life with the same behavior and he's gotten away with it because he's basically es, right? Yeah. And it doesn't work in this platform in which women have all of the power and that's driving him insane Yes, and the viewers and the fans have the power that we see you and we're not you can't thug us. You can'tission. No, you can't Right. So girl,ve we've been sug we've stg proof at this point. We've lived way worse than you, Brian Pantarelli. But they still confuse me because I don't necessarily think It's they have a relationship in which she has less power than him. I think they have equal power but they're doing something that makes them stuck with one another Yes, and that's what everybody You know, who I text with Bravo about is always like, why won't she leave him? Why won't she leave him? There's got to be something something She did I don't know if you remember, it was kind of a small moment But she was married before Brian and it comes up when she's in her confessional and she's like, I don't wantan to talk about it So hm. I don't know if if it's like she There's some kind of cultural thing. She doesn't want to get divorced again. She doesn't want her marriage look like it's a failure. whatever. That's great point That is a great point. I know I know that to be very true, that some women who have had multiple marriages are not willing to get another one. because it's embarrassing or you ye. someomehow it makes them feel like they look bad Yeah. or, you know, there there is some speculation that they Brian was with the ex wife when he was with Rola and if Rola was cheating on the ex husband with Brian, you know what I mean? And then it's like that Weston Amanda thing. I can't admit I left a good marriage to be with a fucking not that Amanda not the good marriage, but that like, you know, the guy who I cheated with. it was a A mistake Yes, you could be right. And living in a small town like that, that the rest of the community would be like, See, it happens to you too, bitch Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So but I also think that yourre you know the financial situation that they need to stay together for more practical reasons also makes a lot of sense. Or like now that we're seeing what I think is the real rolla who is kind of terrible and loud and awful, like that maybe They are more of a match than we thought they were. I think they are a match. That's what I'm saying I think they are together for a very specific reason and they're not going to leave one another for a very specific reason. And that's why I feel like this is also like an adjacent true crime documentary It's an ensemble reality show about a group of women in a small community, but it's also possibly a true crime documentary. I think that in a couple of these circumstances When we start looking under the hood at some of these people, what we're going to find is going to be unsavory Yeah. and I think that it was certainly true Brian and Rilla that they underestimated the attention that this was going to get them. And I think so too what that attention was going to look like. And now there's some uncomfortable decisions back in Hquarters because it's like do we jump off the boat now Do we stay on right vote?
