It's Chappe Chappelle How are you I'm great. I feel like super energized after that episode of Survivor. A really, really good one, a dramatic moment in the season where you're waiting for Ty. What's he going to do? Is he going to play the idol on himself? Is he going to play the idol on Scott And then everybody's waiting. and it seemed like a very pregnant pause. Everybody's looking around, looking at Ty, looking back at Scott, looking at Ty and And then eventually she's just like, No, not doing that. U not doing that. Kudos. Kudos to the sururvivor editors. I think they are the ones who should get a lot of credit for this because I think that that moment where Ty is waiting or they're waiting to see if Ty will play the idol on Scott I think that's a nothing Burger. I think there's nothing there. You know, Ty voted for him. he's not going to then go and save him after voting for him. That doesn't make any sense. But the editors really like kind of like Goss over that part and just lean it to like a heysi, why don't you just stand up and do a thing and they cut to Scott looking like, hey, don't you want to save me? It's like he voted he voted for you. He's not going to save you. And then on top of that Rob, just last episode, we had to roow shambau and then stand up and here T accept my idol I am ti and I am accepting the Iido and I am sitting down where is that? Where's all that energy? Now T can just like have part of it and then we find out Scott has part of it What are the rules here? I feel like there was less of this going on in the game, but the show really kind of leans into the drama and it worked one hundred percent. Yeah It's really well done. We still don't really know how the rules we played as we were talking about yesterday of how we even play the Super idol. It does seem like from Scott's vantage point could save him with the other half of the idol. Scott is voted out of the game with Jason's idol So the other idol is gone If I'm Scott in this moment, I'm standing up and saying, I have half of the super idol tie Are you with me But instead, we kind of get this like like you said at this pause where we're looking at Ty like Ty, don't you have anything? Don't you have something you want to tell other people? Like Scott, you also have half of the idol It takes two the tango here. Get up, walk over to Jeff with your idol out to be like and put the pressure on Ty. you know, like, Hey, Ty, come over here because you owe me this because I helped you get that you know, something like that. Yeah I felt like there was more there that he could have done in the moment And then to find out that he actually could have just played an idol on himself. this wouldn't even be a conversation Yeah I guess we're getting everything from Scott and Jason's point of view. The two people get blindsided at this tribal councsel I was shocked to see that he got voted out with that itidem in his hand because you would think that we get to the tribal council, we know that I mean, I just feel like this is elementary survivor. One of the three of us is safe. We have two idols. You play yours. I play mine We're all safe Or Hold on. Three of me goes this thing. Yeah. We are the things around your neck and say, who are yall going to vote for? We all have an e We're all immune Now Aubrey is not going to risk Michelle and Julia voting her out. So her, Siddney and Joe probably all vote for Julia in that moment. But it doesn't matter because the boys are going to vote with Julia and vote out Aubrey or Siddy. and then she goes home, what did they how did they fumble this? You have three idols? Yeah, they didn't try to do a full three amigos here where Jason wins immunity and then Jason gives his immunity Iidol to Scott. Ty has another idol. The three of them could potentially have all been safe But I think they felt like that Julia the double agent was voting with them. It's the final eight I guess they felt like that they were going to have four votes on Aubrey And then I guess they did not think that the other four people were going to all vote together on Tie Yeah, but if Julia is voting with them, they know where everybody else is voting because Julia is in on the vote. She She's the double agent. They fumbled this. They they messed this up. I've been talking about how bad players were this entire season that happen They were bad players. They were not good players of survivor. This is the third consecutive tribal council in a row that Jason and Scott have been blindsided on the Nick vote Uh, the Debbie vote Debbie went home, It had nothing to do with them. It was not what they thought was going happen And then also once again here on this phone Once again, to be clear three person Alliance had three idols and one of them still went home. We don't talk about this enough in the boneheed things that have happened in survivor history. Your entire alliance had idols. You could have played one for him. He could have played one for you held, Jason could have put the idol around your neck if he wanted to. and you still lost this f for They lost. They They don't even need him. Scott got to do is play Jason's idol for himself that he has. It'd be different if he didn't have it. If he'd like Jason had it like damn, it's not in my possession. there's nothing I can do actually gave it to him they needed it. Yeah. Why not just play it? Why not? It's a good question. ye. When you talk about it that way, a two personal with an idol and immunity necklace, you would think that it would be unlikely that one of them would go home Yes, and here we are with three people. Now' don't get me wrong, like you said, tie is flipped But yeah, you come back to two and you're looking at Ty as if he is the linnchpin to this working. He's not. You are. playlay your idol, Ozzie. playlay your idol, Bruce. Play your idol. againgain, Ozzie, play your idol. Wh y'all sit here with How do you sit here knowing you're getting votes on you and not playing idol? This is crazy And then the idea that you're going to wait for the super Iidol thing why Wait for the super ido when you could just play the Iidol, you don't need us to wait on a super ido. What is the point? Did Julia tell them that they were voting for Scott We get a scene where she's over there being double agents. She tells them that they're voting for a tie is I believe what she what she said. Julian tells and Julian is votning for Ty And Julia is correct, Michelle and Julia are voting for Tyre. But Aubrey has other pls and this is really We've been talking about it off and all, Arey's gameplay here and there But I mean Aubrey right here, right? Like she completely just demands this episode. like it's everything you would want from somebody. And it feels like if you're going to give somebody a winner edit, this is how one looks, right? Now in contrast I don't think Michelle got a confessional in this episode. If she did think that And as I'm looking at the the vote chart here. So Aubrey, Sydney, Joe and Ty are the four people that vote for Scott. It seems like that Michelle and Julia got left out of the plan. They did. They did. And so when we talk about Michelle and her winner Edit U It's not a three hundred and sixty degree edit. They want to show Michelle looking good. And so I think we're just not seeing Michelle ande not because she had nothing to say she wasn't doing anything. I think it was because that she was just not giving confessionals about what was about to happen Exactly. And these this is one of those other smoking guns that get the edge of people going, right? Because Michelle is blindsided here But we never see Michelle's point of view at all. You know, Julia, we see her point of view. We know exactly what she wants to do. It's completely opposite of what everything Debbie told us in the exit press. For some reason, we get everything that Julia is thinking in this episode because Julia is in danger. But you know who's not in danger? Michelle. Her name never comes up as a potential vote either here. Nobody's ever said they wanted to vote out Michelle in this episode. We don't find out who Michelle wants to vote for if she has any thoughts or ideas about it, but it's kind of like not having any content there. is enough to be like, okay, maybe we're protecting her from something, right? We don't want our winner to look like they don't know what they're talking about. And I think that in the next episode I haven't watched ahead outside of Way it was airing and we did the forty season countdown. I think that Michelle's real stretch run starts to kick off next week Absolutely. You know, we know that she's going to actually have a really good immunity run there as well. And so I'm very excited to see it from like the show standpoint. But yeah, if you're reading the edic, you're looking at Aubrey. Well, first of all, if you're watching this with the naked eye, right? Like this blind eye fan of the show watching the show, you're like, damn, Aubrey can do no wrong But if you're looking for the mistakes Michelle is making, where was the mistake? You know, it looks like she's left out of the vote but the show doesn't really talk about it. you know, So yeah, these two things are happening simultaneously and slowly the fan base is starting to split in half. Yeah. In the real time, I went I watched the Survivor knownow it Alls and in real time I really was feeling the like this is Aubrey sorry. This is Aubrey rising It was a really good episode for Aubrey, right? In this episode, you know, we see Aubrey really using her leverage over Ty. and she calls it a misconnections, you know, kind of relationship that they have where it looks like they want to work together, but they just haven't found the right opportunity to make it happen. So knowing that Aubrey and Ty barely have a relationship, it's very impressive what she's able to do and the way the show depicts it, right? It's Arby being like I gott to get tie. I gotta get the tie, I gott to get the tie. We see Arby like hiding in the tall grass, like a damn lioness and like talking to Tie while he's standing up doing things. He's like, get down here, get down here Are you sure you wantan to play with these guys? donon't they suck look at me, We're great. You got three people. We got your back, you know? And it works. And so yeah, if you're watching at home, you're like, man, Aubreya at number one in the power rank is right now. He kind of gives the impression that he's afraid of them, and that's why he doesn't wantan to turn on Yeah like they're going to be mad at me. He's like, Yeah, that sucks. I mean, to be fair, they've been showing themselves as people you should probably be weary of. notot so much like they'refid he's afraid they're going to hurt him, but they're just not pleasant people when they're upset. You know, they' putting out the fire Yeah, they're drinking the water that you that you gather. He's like I don't want to I don't feel like dealing with the attitudes is basically what he's trying to say. I don't think he feels like they're going to threaten his life, but he definitely like If I could just live here without them stomping around here all mad That's ideal for Ty. And so yeah, there's a small chance here that he doesn't go with Aubrey because he's like I just don't want to deal with the ire of these two guys. Also, These two guys might be pretty easy to beat Ty if you stay with them. So maybe maybe don't. mayaybe don't betray them right. Yeah. He mentions that in terms of that he feels like that people won't vote for them. That's a reason to stay with them. Julia talks about that they're easy to beat that that's the reason why she wants to work with them. So everybody's looking at them as people who have no business even being in the end game Right And they they're talking about choosing who they want and they're in game. they like we can go with Ty, but what if we go with Juliet? Wouldn't that be cool? I think we can beat Julie. You cannot You cannot beat anybody. This is one of my votes. You can't even vote for each other. at that point, right? It' this is going be like one of Camilla on the dec side, whichich one of us is going to be in the finals This is the thing I do at the end of every season. After the votes are read. I always go through and be like, okay, who did you think you were going to get? right? In season fifty, That was my big question for Jonathan. Okay Boom, You made it to the end, you thought you played a good game, you're sitting next to Aubrey. Who are the people that you think you're going to get over Aubrey? And then when you start to list people like Christ Yall like, hey, hey, slow down that you're not going to do. Oh, I thought you know, it's like no, you didn't think that. There's no way you should have thought that. You had a misread on the jury. These two guys sitting here talking about who they can beat is actually crazy. L I think if anything Pro probablyably should be trying to go to it with T. I think Ty is not an awful choice. I mean, I think like we will see that, you know, maybe he gets in trouble for being so wishy washy. mayaybe he doesn't he doesn't really have a backbone if he's not willing to stand up to them. He's pouring out the fire and stuff like that. and they know ties in on their evil plan. So maybe they can take his like social standing. but I think maybe Joe might be another person they could beat, but I don't think they can beat any of the women considering they keep thinking this is a women's alliance and they want the jury to be full of women that they did buied for three epises. I just don't think it's mense. I think that Joe has Debbie and Aubrey They're drawing dead at the final eight. It is crazy that they're talking about who they can go to the end with No, you can't do anything. Be nice to people and then you can get them votes Yeah. So Yeah, maybe like they could get like Michelle and Julia and You know, one of that' not in the final three, you know, that and then they'd babbe get Debbie if she's salty against Aubrey or something. I like want to vote for a woman, you know, the whole thing. That was her that's what she said the whole way. So it's going to be. It's tough. tough for Jason and Sott. So I will call myself out a cell phone a very a bad, bad take from me on the know it alls I talked about how look at Aubrey She is really depling this Perfectly at at the tribal cououncil, she is gassing up Scott and Jason and talking about how their competitors and how Jason is talking about how Aubrey, she's got as much Brawn in her as he does. She had a valiant effort against Jason in the immunity challenge backack was against the wall. And I told Stehven as was like, look, listen, These guys are pissed they're not pissed at Aubrey That Th these guys respect Aubrey. Aubrey's doing great. These guys are going to vote They're they're made a tie They would totally vote for Aubrey at the end of this game. That's not your fault. I said that That's not your fault It's not your fault. It's not your fault. And here's why, because we actually have clips of them saying those exact things. You know, like Jason is saying Aubrey is a competitor. Aubrey is like I like I need even when he votes for it, he says, this is because you're such a good competitor, right It's not a vote because like I want you out or you know, I don't like you or you did something wrong. It is you can beat me and so I need you out of the game. You know, the jury votes for one of three people, right essentially. One of three people is going to win the game. And so as long as Abery is sitting next to somebody who they hate more U then she couldn't win Hopefully she doesn't get to the end with somebody who is well beloved by everybody. We shall see feel like that this season The narrative, I think changed and and Aubrey has talked about this a little bit where People fell in love with Michelle. And they said, no no. The reason why Michelle won is because Aubrey had a bad social game Aubrey was was bad at this. And so far I haven't seen that. I haven't seen a bad social game from Aubrey. No, no. I've yet to see like the person because even if you look at the people who've been voted out so far, Yeah, maybe Debbie doesn't love this the, you know, the Aubrey Michelle is in on it. So but maybe she's betrayed, right? So that's a burn vote right there. We see Scott going out here. Scott and Jason seemingly had a lot of respect for Aubrey at this point So maybe there's something that happens in the next few days that turns them around on her. She's always going to get Joe's vote. Neil's not going to be there to save her. And so You know what? she loses a Sdne vote. For almost no reason. no doing of her own. she losesydney's vote. So I don't think it's ever been that Aubrey's social game wasn't strong. That doesn't really track for what we're watching. Not to say that this is an anti Michelle take in any way, shape or form. I just feel like that the narrative kind of changed on this season where people went back and said, no, Aubrey actually had a bad social game. I think the Debbie relationship idn't really go bad until Aubrey voted Debbie out. Debbie was salty about that. But in the game it that seemed like that was always fine. We'll see how these next couple episodes go for Aubrey. But I think that Aubrey really struggled socially in the edge of extinction in those first couple episodes when she comes back and then gets kind of dunked on for She's saying the same thing to all the different people in her tribe when she's trying to put this alliance together. And I almost feel like that we sort of like reton that Aubrey had a bad social game in Survivor C Rong, and that's why she loses Yeah, I think I think so a little bit too. I mean, if you go back and and listen to some of the things that were said after the season, you know, I think when is it Jason s like, Yeahah, watching it back. I I could see myself voting for Aubrey instead. you know, like I think there's some some there.. But yeah, I don't think it's bad. I think with Neil still on the jury, Aubrey has a fighting chance here at the very end against Michelle. I mean, it's very early be talking about it right now You know, Neil getting voted off takes away one of her guaranteed votes. She has another guaranteed vote with Joe. So if she can get Syidney's vote And then oron Debbie or one of Scott and Jason. I mean, this is a different game, but look whose vote we're trying to get We're trying to get Debie's vote who's mad at her and Cidy's vote who is still a big question mark in my mind as far as like how I feel about it. I know what she said. I don't know how I feel about it Yeah. And she does get Nxfo And she gets an next vote. Yeah. So this was it. like it's not there's not it's not like a she's not Russe Hance. you know what I'm saying? She didn' get there with no chance to win. This lady had a good shot. They're excited Scott Jason are pumped up that Debie ended up going home And Scott comes to Aubrey with an offer. And he tries to strong arm Aubrey and says, Hey, listen We want things to go back to normal. We want to have harmony in the camp Here's what we need Just give a Sidney But we want Sydney on a silver platter and then we'll stop terrorizing the camp Sacrifice one of your closest allies And then we will stop being mean to you. It's like Or I sacrifed my closest ally and you continue to be mean to me. Like I don't know if this is a good deal.. Aubrey, I think they wake her up in a morning with this. She's like, it's of early for y'all to be talking crazy to me. And this is just another sign of who Aubrey is. She's not going to negotiate with terrorists. Don't negotiate with terrorists and she says that they're dressing up This offer in a birthday cake, but it's still a I forget the word she used to describe this this act of dominance. Yeah, I think that's defin really what it is Yeah It's very domineering at the very least, you know. Yeah. I think it's worth a shot F Scott, but again, it's a bedside manner's not good. He's not You know, I think if you go to Aubrey and be like, Aubrey, I feel bad about what we did. And I really wish I could take it back. We were mad in the moment, but we're over it. you know, is there any way we can work together If let's say you don't vote us out, who do you want? You know? We've talked about this before. If you are at the bottom, you don't have a lot to leverage. his leveraging peace at camp when they can just vote you out. they did it. So it's like, okay, Aubrey, you can beat us You can beat us You can beat us. Who do you want out? What What if you want to do? We're not going to win the game. Look around. noobody's going to vote for us. There's no point in voting us out right now, but we'll work with you right now. What do you need us to do That's that's the pitch here for Aubrey. And I don't even think it would work, but it's worth a shot. And look at how Aubrey handled the situation with Ty when she goes to T and says, well, who do you want out What do you want to do? Whatever you want to do, T, You got three people behind you. Allance is coming wherever you want to go And that's how you do it. That's how you wook somebody over This has been a season where there's been a lot of wrinkles in the challenge that we've thought have all been interesting And in this challenge, we're gonna have an endurance challenge and an endurance challenge with three different rewards that there is a reward That is for love. One person is going to win a letter from home This is going to be also food. It's like a burger and fries and maybe a beer And then there's also an advantage. And so This was I thought this was pretty cool. I can't remember another time where we had the survivors do this where which thing do you want to play for and then you were only competing against the other people who were competing for the same thing. And I don't think we can do this anymore. right? Like I think we have everybody would just go for the advantage. Everybody should go for the advantage, but also At this point in the game it's like day fourteen Did you really miss a home like that? you know, I think the letters type thing don't really have the same appeal. And remember, we go to the sanctuary now, you know, where good things happen. So I think that's kind of out. The question is do people pick the food over the advantage? And now what we do is sit out for food and then everybody else justs goes for whatever the letters are or know where the advantage is or whatever. This it was different. u And it goes very quickly. This this endurance challenge that they did Lasts like twelve minutes It goes by very fast. It's like a new era immunity challenge I have not really kept track of who got what reward, but I feel like They're eating this season Once we got past the seasonings, the rewards have gotten a lot better. You know, it's hard to not be better than salt and pepper. But yeah, I think last episode they had like us was this Chinese takeout. They had ice cream as well. That cheeseburgers. Th a merge feast and then the merge feast then we went from the merge feast to thenen They had trying to remember from these last couple episodes of then Yeah, they also had one of the challenges where you could drop out of the challenge and eat And I'm trying remember that was same the same time that half the people had had just had Chinese food. And then you could drop out of the challenge and then four people ate then And then they had ice cream U Yeah. and now there's another thing to eat Yeah, E the time when they could drop out, it was like pizza. It was an array of different items. because I remember thinking I when I was survivor, pizza. And I was like, well, hold on, those wings do look good. It was like drumsticks. It wasn't even wings. I was like, o, okay, Yeah G be. Yeah. So Joe is going to go eat soon Oh he's going eat a lot. He's going eat a lot. Yeah, they are fed here. and I don't really know why, but I guess you owe them, right? You've been out here. they all have infections. They've been dying from heat exhaustion. you know, some extra cheeseburg. I wonder if that's a thing where maybe Dr. Rupert was like, Hey, you know what'll help these people? like if they get some like Three square meals doctor Ruper heard that he got the phone call yesterday's like, Oh, so how's how' the day going? Oh yeah, it was great. They enjoyed their ice cream reward. huh? They had an ice cream reward. You you gave them you gave them dairy, like a lot of dairy out there and that and I told you it was hot, right? Like I told you. Yeah, but like, you know, it's survivor. It's celebration. It's only our thirty first last second season I've also noticed that the contestants are more bandaged up. Aubrey has like a big bandage on her leg. Debbie, I noticed that she was having like an infection on her shoulder and then I saw that she had like been bandaged up. So I do think that they're getting a little more proactive in terms of like, hey, we lost a lot of people so far Sometimes it takes, you know, bumping into a wall a couple times before you figure out your path. And I think that's really what happened here. I think a lot of the ch again, a lot of the changes that we see are probably going to be due to the stuff that happens in Koong So we're gonna do the challenge and' hold the urn with your leg and we have two people competing for love. It's Julia versus Joe, our oldest contestant, our youngest contestant Who needs love more Julia needs to love more because Joe lasts roughly thirty seconds. Yeah. And Julia says this is as long as she's ever gone without talking to her parents. And so she wins the letter from home It was so fast. like She beat him immediately. Yeah. Yeah This is a very nerdy thing. They were like notes on the all the different challengs of who was competing for what And I noticed that there was a font. that is used. Do you notice this at all? No, that there's I don't know if it's a co wrong font or it's just a font that we were using at this particular point in Svivor history. Mh. It's like its surly sixties Check it out next time you see something written I will. I will. wonder where they go with that Survivor has a font And through most of fiber history, we used this fiber font, but it seemed they were trying something new out here Mm. I don't know why, but I'll check it out. Was it was did it look cool or was it just different? It was interesting like where it was a font where it was like the things that hang underneath Is that is that a serh? I'm not sure that maybe not the part like like like a lowercase like G Like might go like the G might like underline the thing Right, right, right. Okay. So yeah, it was the what is thecender or something like that or the tail, I guess. Yeah, a lot of tails A lot of tails. okay. And I don't know if that's just something specific and unique to the co wrong logo. Mm. I don't know. I promise you, I never even noticed that. So I'll have to go back and take a look after we' I something here that they don't necessarily Now I don't see it as much in the actual survivor co wrong logo, but take take a look at that and see if if you notice anything there. Then okay, then we play who was playing for the Burger? What was it Michelle versus Jason and Scott Yeah, and Michelle wins here and good on h. you know, she Scott's out first then Jason and then she gets the burger. We see her's like munching along while everybody's doing the challenge still. Yeah, Michelle and Jason and Scott. they are always going after the food at these different rewards. I think they all jumped off at the same time to go and eat the pizza and wings during the last challenge And then six. we have people competing for the advantage. I think it is just Aubrey and Siddney and Ty. Yes. and u, you know Syidney Anti this is a good battle, you know, because they' they're all pretty good. When I think about Aubrey L I remember when we were doing the draft going into to season fifty. I think about this episode a lot when it comes to Aubrey, notot so much about the strategic stuff she did, but physically, Aubrey's no slouch for the challenges and you know, you start to really see it here Yeah, she's like she's like dancing with coach., you know But it it's like right here. you can really start seeing the brawny part of her. And then of course, they highlight it later on when she does the second endurance challenge and it goes pretty well for her. Yeah. She comes in second in both challenges, right? Yeah, yeah, top two. No, no, I't wait No she came in third this time I believe because I think it was Ty versus Sydney again. No, it was Ty versus Arby. you're right. It was Ty versus Aby last immunity challenge was Ty versus Sydney and then this is then Aubrey goes toe to toe with Ty and loses and then Aubrey goes toe to toe with Jason and loses Yeah. later on, Jason would be like, Well, the people winning all the challenges are me and times like That's not Okay, fine. whatever. you you have you can have that So Ty is going to get the advantage. He gets an extra vote. Remember when they were Yeah get one extra vote in the whole season Steep side. I mean, this will not be the last time Ty has a late stage advantage that will ruin my life. Now I'm joking. this this time it doesn't bother me. but that's that that game changer one is a doozy. R. And In this year of this show being filmed Three different extra vote advantages in the mix, right? Be the show is the show was filming F worlds apart aired or you know, and the show and then after, I mean, I guess it filmed before Cambodia aired Stehven had an extra vote. Dan Foy had an extra vote and Ty had an extra vote all back to back to back. And then I don't know if they get extra vote in ame I guess is I believe Stehven got a steel of him So an extra vote here and then in Dan Foley had the extra vote. And then Stehven, I think has the first ever steal a vote And then it becomes a legacy advantage for game changers like less than a year later. I think that Sarah ends up getting a legacy advantage And also the steel of vote. I think that ste ofe if I remember correctly, That Yeah Michela sits out of the challenge in game changers and that's the steel a vote And then she doesn't she's she's mad that she's not in the challenge and she doesn't see it and then Sarah sees it when she gets up gets up Yeah, and Siri tried to use the stealer vote. Okay. Yeah, now it's making sense. Yeah, so this is around the time when we start doing these shenanigans. So I guess we should blame. we still not blame words apart. We can't blame Coran for this. The thirties really becomes you know, we I thought the thirties would be the advantage era when we end up we wereord that was the last season of the evolution strategy that we did where we talked about the Dan Foley got the extra vote and I really felt like okay, well the thirties, I think is really going to be the era of like these like, you know, advantages being more in play. I wouldn't say exactly that it was. reallyally that kind of became the forties was much more of an advantage era Alth they go for a huge get in in Yeah Survivor game changers And Ghost Island is just addvantage Island, right? Like that's the whole point of Ghost Island. Island of the Idols. You're going to the Island of the Ids to get an advantage. So no, you you're not wrong. I think this was advantage era and then the new era just kind of took it and dug it into the ground, you know, And now the open era is going to do some stuff too, and we just have to wait and find out what that is. Yeah, it is interesting, but Survivor thirty starts and we have our first ever advantage in. We see an extra vote. by season thirty nine, we have a whole island full of how to give out a new advantage every week By season forty, we have a currency system with fire tokens where you can buy advantages for people. You know, I think we really just kind of went off the cliff with this one. lookingoo back it's easy to spot And maybe in the real time, we were saying like, didt think this getting out of control? But by forty, yeah, we had we had f frogs in the water. like it's getting hot. It's hot Y'all't see this, y'all can't tell. you know, and now look back we're like o the whole time, we were boiling. We should have We should have started to say stuff around this time. We C Rong should have been when we put our foot down. like hey, a super advantage. I mean, a super idol and a still of vote the same season seems like a little much. Yeah Julia Sokolowski gets her letter from home And she might have been the first person ever. we need to fact check this. It's a very like new era trope of like, oh wow, my family, they missed me so much. And then because of that I gott to make a big move. I gott to make a big. I read this letter, everyverybody's rooting for me. I need to make a big move I gott to do something. This is you know, the long distance version of what happens in the Philippines with Lisa Welchell, you know, herer brother comes and like, so you just want to lose to Malcolm? She's like, Ohh, I probably shouldn't do that. I probably should not do that. Okay, I should probably do st. I should start making moves. That's crazy. Okay. B. This time, Julia just gets that via mail. Snaailmail. This is one of the seasons I don't believe we have a loved ones visit here in Koong, right I don't know. I have no clue 't that's crazy. I't know Um, why not Is it 'cause everybody's getting infections. they don't want tona seebody people out there. There was an era where they weren't doing them. so that they Uh, you know that they have the loved ones visit with Dawn and Caramel and And then obviously we don't have it in Blood versus water because his loved ones are already there. In Kagon, they just like bring the final four loved ones out to compete in the challenge They don't have then they do blood versus water again. so we don't have it in in twenty nine And then in thirty I think that just Mike Holloway's mom comes to Nicolle. Yeah. And I guess it was close enough to North America where they had everybody's like loved ones standing by and flew them in And then they don't have it here and then it comes back in a big way in second chance with everybody you know, Valve comes and it's a whole thing. And I think that that really I give Jeremy the credit for he really like kickstarted like the thirties had all these big loved ones visits that were like a staple of the season And I think that it was really because the second chance one was so good they made it like, oh, we have to do it every single season. And they do it all the way through when we get to forty culminating in everybody's loved ones and everybody else you've ever met Yeah. no, that's a good point. I never thought about it because yeah, you're right after this season Millennials vers. JenX is going to pop up and that's going to be like a big moment for the loved ones visit, right? So yeah, interesting. Hven't thought about it before. I mean, as long as Cut to, we don't have a loved ones visit next week. I don't think they did have loved ones visit in this season That's crazy But you're right. once I mean, you have to E evenven the choice to have them come out for Cambodian iss cool. I don't know if it's like something that, you know, it's kind of like, okay, these are returning players. So, you know, we're going to give them that respect But yeah, they break the mold there. That loved one's visit is very good. And then you know, we will go on to see really big moments with Adam Klyin's loved one visit and then like you said, leading up to like the most epic loved ones visit at all time with all the people come and your whole family's there. But yeah, for some reason, Koron just gets skipped in the mix listen, it's a season that gets the short shrift in a lot of ways. There's a season that they said, you know what? Let's put this on the shelf Let's just like we'll get to it when we get to it and we'll put let's just put on we got this other seenason we did. Let'll just put that one on first Yeah, the more I think about Coran, the more I know that it was like heavily spoiled. because think about it. How many seasons of sururvivor could just sit on the shelf for about a year with nobody noody knew. Nobody told anybody Y'all. This group right here, these crazy people we're talking about just been sitting on this information ain't no way. Ain't no F and way. No no chance. no chance All right. so We do get a mention of Michelle. Aubrey thinks that Michelle doesn't see Julia for the threat that she is, but Aubrey does. Aubrey has had her eyes locked on Julia ever since she wrote her name out and crossed it off. Yeah,' off her list. She she got to get her before Julia gets her. and then like I said, it's You know, relatively clear to everybody that Julia is playing both sides, Even if she wasn't, they think she is. And so she might as well be. So yeah, Aubrey's like, lookook, we got to get Julie out And Julia is trying to take a strategic stance in this episode. She's the one who kind of comes up with the split says, okay, we'll vote for Ty. if Ty plays the idol. Oh else Sidney goes home. That's not bad for everybody, right? Let's do it And then it slowly becomes Well, maybe well Scott kind of just turns to Aubrey at some point. But yeah, Julia was the strategic mastermind in this episode at first. I think she was sharper than I remember I still don't agree with the things that she has done. I think she understands what's going on. I just think she's doing it poorly. You know, like flipping to the guys Alliance last round with no numbers is crazy to me. And again, she apparently put up a good enough ruse to that Debbie didn't think that she flipped. But everything, everybody else's conffessional since the moment she flipped iss like Julia has flipped Julia has flipped. Even Julia's professionals are I have flipped. So yeah, she is she is she seems like she has a good mind for the game, but some of the tactics she's using I don't think are effective. Pretty good for what she nineteen nineteen or twenty. She does really great work here and she goes to Ty and you mentioned they don't have a close connection, but she gives him the we have to talk, Ty. and she tells him that the girls want you and your idol out Yeah. and u, you know, this is This is good information from Aubrey because she's trying and it is a risk, right? because Ty could easily be like Oh, guess what y'all, Aubrey said, y'all come to vote for me, you know, like he he could have the numbers. He has the idol, you know, playing a really like like walking like a tight rope here because if Ty doesn't react to this positively, she basically goes home. but from her point of view, she's probably going home anyway, right? If Ty's not with her now, then either her city is going home and there's nothing can do about it. So might as well just like throw it all at the at the at the wall and see what happens. She had a little bit of a sixth sense, I think that Ty was open to working with her. I think she was getting the vibes that he was open to it Because she kind of has to do this in two parts. She goes to Ty and says, Hey, the girls want your idol out. And so we like, why don't we work together? And he's like, you know what This is great I love this plan let me go back and talk to the guys and I'll talk to the guys and I think they're going to like this. And he tells us that U I think that Scott and Jason are really going to like this plan about working with Aubrey and we see him go talk to Scott and Jason And he's like, hey guys, guess what? I talked to Aubrey. and she said they're gonna try to vote me out so we could work with her. And they said, you know, Oh, you know what we should do? We should vote out Aubrey Yeah, yeah, this is great. becausecause Aubrey says Ty, you and I should work together and Ty's like, great, let me go tell all my friends that we're all in the line. You're like, wait no, that's notactly what it's look, no, no, no, I got it. Let me go T. They're gonna love this.. And you can see the panic on his face It reminds me of, oh God, is it Heroes versus Villains where I think it's Cach who comes over like, hey, like, what are we doing? We can't We can't do this. We can't vote this. they're like, Ohh, what if we just vote our boss to Rbe now? Russe Hanson like ye Yeah, let's vote out. They're like, yeah, what is? And coach, you could see the like the fear on coach's face like, wait, that's not what I was talking about Same thing happens here. Ty is sitting there saying Aubrey is in our alliance and they' saying, no, we're voting her out, but thanks for the information. And I think this is one another one of those moments that T will look at and say, don' really value me here And so my opinion is not being heard. I'm obviously the odd men out. They're going to pick each other over me. They're not giving me an extra piece you know, maybe Julia should be that extra beatach for him, but he can tell that he's he's not really being respected in the moment too much Yeah. And I think it's probably apparent to everybody else on the beach too, Rob because I know you said Aurey has a six sense but Just imagine while these boys are stomping around, putting out fires and stuff Ty is not standing there like, yeah, I agree. He's probably in the corner sitting there powouting a little bit. Yeah they can read him Hey, you guys, so you sure you wantanna do that? They're like, shut tie. We're bullies now Yeah E and Bulk and Sull running the running the tribe and and Ties just sitting there in the background, you know? Yeahep. Ti, I got a plan ever. We about Aubrey? No, no, no Yeah. So Scott is lien this plan. They're going to vote out Aubrey and that sets up Aubrey's in trouble at the immunity challenge and we end up with, you know, a really fun showdown at the end where it ends up. We end up with Aubrey Siddney versus Jason. Sydney drops out and it's Aubrey versus Jason. And this is like a fun heads up duel. I love the heads up duel every time it happens, you know, whether it's Christian and Alec or this, I love when you get the two people I picture as well. I think it's San Juandel Sur where Natalie Anderson is spitting I think well this spit also this one Yeah Yeah, Reed spits and then Natalie tries to spit and she's like like hocking a looua all over her. Yeah. Jeff's like Yeah That was unfortunate. Yeah, but this time around, Aubrey's got this badass bounty hunter on one side and an NBA player on the another side and they're all spitting. she's Aubrey with the boys. Yeah. She's feeling it. She's like sort of she's like bouncing around and this is a good Aubrey moment. In my mind, she wins this immunity. I was like really surprised when she dropped out in Jason one immunity Same. I always think about this as the Aubrey challenge because maybe it's the most impressed I was with her physically throughout, but ye when we were talking about fifty, I was like, oh, yeah, Aubberrey's good at individual challenges. Yeah. in my mind, I felt like that she wins like three immunities in Survivor C wrong. I know that she says in Survivor fifty that she only I think she's only won one other immunity challenge, obviously before she wins at the final four in Survivor fifty but in my mind, I feel like she was like, she's threat She is right there at the end in a lot of these challenges. I think she does end up winning one of them, which we haven't seen yet. She's feisty Yeah, no, she can go. She's not bad in the water. You know, we we've seen we've seen a lot of aspects of Aubrey and she's never it doesn't look like she's holding the tribe back at all.. And so yeah, now that they're in the individual stage, I thought I too thought Aubrey was going to win a couple. Now mind you, maybe she could. But she does not know. there's a sleeping giant over there being hidden from all of us in the edit. and she's about to show up and just start demolishing people as an immunity j. Yeah, Michelle is going to win more challenges down the stretch, but we have not seen Michelle as a challenge competitor yet. The one time they really highlighted Michelle was that she was not good in one of the diving challenges whichich is crazy because Michelle is really good in the water. I watched her season of one of her more recent seasons of the challenge. And like the final challenge was I say seventy five percent swimming. I'm not even joking. like every between every challenge they did, they had to swim basically like a mile And Michelle was in second place through much most of that and against some of these like challenge veterans of, you know, twenty years and stuff like that. Michelle was in the mazing. I think I want to say she came in second overall. And so knowing that now looking back, I'm like really you know, It makes more sense to me now, you know, the Michelle immunity run. But yeah, I think Michelle's probably underrated in her challenge ability Okay. So The guys come back and you see Jason celebrating. All three of us are safe. I have immunity and we have two idols where it's perfect Howd you We don't talk about this enough. We don't talk about Rob. I don't know I don't know who I got talk to Peridium if you're listening. When you go make these like list of bone headed things, we need to move this one up the ranks becausecause again, a two person Alliance had two idols and one of them went home And they knew they were getting votes. They were aware they were getting votes and still did not play their idol and had the nerve to be mad at time for not saving them. You could have saved yourself Yeah child's Have you done by saving yourself? Yeah. Yeah, you call them Ozzie. Yes, Scott does have he has his own He hasn't he he didn't even find that uil Jason gave him. idle Mhm Y'all stole that woman Alicia's idol and didn't have the nerd to get voted out with it. just despicable. If they don't have if they weren't villains before in this moment, they definitely are now because what are you doing? Yeah squandering things? All right. so Aubrey is talking with Syidney and they're saying like we could go for Scott or Jason here, but we need to get Ty. And so we see once again now we go back to Ty about What are you going to do, Ty? You're going to join us? You going to come with us to vote out Scott or Jason? He's like, I don't know, they' kind of scary. I don't they are scary They are scaary. They did They're destroying camp life and I don't really like that. But, you know, The girls are voting for Ti or at least Michelle and Julia are going to vote for Ty. So Aubrey's trying to whip these votes to be Aubrey, Joe, Siddney and Ty. So therefore votes will win the day And We go to Tribal council, hanging on What's Ti going to do Yeah, and it's crazy because there's like a ton of different things that people think are about to happen because Julie and Michelle are sitting there thinking, Ty is going to play his idol at the very least He'll be safe And then whoever the boys vote for, probably Sydney is going home. Like they're fine losing Sydney here or Aubrey. I'm sure they know it's Aubrey at this point because Julie is playing double agent. But regardless, they're okay with that happening. So Aubrey, of course uses that to be like Syidney. you and Joe, we're all voting for them for the other guy because there's no way that, you know, we're going to both survive this if we don't And so it's like Irey and City didn't have a lot of options at this point. L this was pretty much the only move on the board is vote for the other one Mhm. We'll go to Tvel cououncil. Jeff IDs that Ti is quiet than normal quite in the past when he's telling people about the idols You remember Arbrey's six sents. Yeah Jeff got it too. Ty looks miserable. Jeff's like, Ty it looks like you're not having fun. I was like what? huh? me having fun? Yeah, I don't know what this is. Surviv ain' fun. A cruise is fun. Yeah, maybe Jason and Scott, they could have also gotten a clue here that Ty all of a sudden is looking like he has to put down Mark the chicken Yeah, Jeff calls it out Like hey, guys, Ty doesn't look like he's having a great time here. If you if you know you're about to get out your target, I think you look a little bit happier here. Eespecially because Ty in the conffessional talks about how this is war. This is war and I have to vote with the guys because that's what we do which when you're at war. So he sounds like he's telling us they in on it, but somewhere in the day since the Arey conversation, it seems like it's really started to weigh on him and You know, he also knows that Michelle and Julia are voting for him So it's not like he should be too eager to work with them either. So they both sides have kind of pushed Ty right into Aubrey's arms and she's been there welcoming him every step of the way. You know. So there's a great moment at the end of the episode where okay Jeff asked anybody want to play the Iidol And so you see Julia is saying to Ty, playay the idol Hi is saying or Sott is saying don't don't play the Iol. donon't play the Iol. We a saving saving it. So I want to go back to that we said that Julia and Michelle We're voting for tie here. So curious in terms of that Did they when they thought that the girls were also voting for Ti Did Julia want Ty to play the Iidol so that the votes that Jason and Scott were're casting for Aubrey would have taken Aubrey out of the game For her, she she when she brought up the plan, she originally it was originally on Syne. It was going to be Syney was the one who's going to catch these votes if Ty played his idol. But you're right. at this point in the game, she does know that the guys are probably voting for Aubrey. So if T playays the idol, Aubrey goes home, but I think she's more heit on getting the Iidol out ofs the Iidol. But it's actually a little more clever than like where Julie I thought that Julian Michelle the okay, they just were like left out of the vote But I think that they were in on an alternative plan with Jason and Scott that, okay, If tpe, place his idol then he doesn't go home U, but he will stay and a bigger threat Aubrey or Siddney ends up going out of the game based off of what Scott and Jason are doing Yeah, ye, they were always pitching that it was going to be Sydney from Jump. you know, So I think they were hoping for that. you know, it's like, yeah, we can we'll deal with T later on, but we really need to figure out a way to get out Sydney. And then when it came O was like, yeah, that thatll work as well. But again, they vote for Ty here and if he doesn't play his idol, it's still no love loss, right? Like okay, like the four of us voted for Ty, he's going home U But they only got two votes And then the votes come up and it's Scott and we just have that great moment where everybody's looking around Anything You bl and t's like Is a down. That's great.' not That's crazy. esspecially because now we get Scott in confonfessional like or at his little exit interview like, damn, I got this idol right here. I's like, Oh, you fool. because you look at their tie like, don't play your idol. don't your idol. But at no point did it occur to you that you should play yours? His reaction to Ty not playing the ale was like, wow Wow. Crazy Scott He voted for you Why the the man, I just You should force people to watch a season of sururvivor before they go on the show. And I just there's like picko wrong of all seasons. Picko wrong. That'll be the season. That's the BB sixteen of Survivor from now on or at least in the oldera would because doing this makes no sense. Your reaction should not be that big. When you saw you have four votes You just saying T Like you should have had your Michela reaction then, but to be sitting here thinking like, we got you. We got you now. You do the math, kid. He he did not vote with you. And this is T T got one over on them twice. Remember? because he did get away with the the Nick vote as well. He's like, Yeahah, I voted for Debie. So yeah, they just didn't have a good read on T whatsoever What's been your perspective on Scott now that we've watched him across these ten episodes? He's a despicable character But is that a tining You know, I wasn't I wasn't bored by him by any stretch of imagination. He's very memorable. Yeah. I think there were parts where he was warm in the episodes Bye There were he had some lighter moments for sure. I think I probably in my mind remember him being worse He had some moment I think No, it's pretty bad, Rob. I can't like like, do I remember him word? Yes. But I do also think that is compounded with the way the final tribal counsel goes too because it's like right now, he's a villain By the end of this, you're like, he's a bitter villain. and that's kind of like a little tacky. But I think that there was a point when he was by himself where he was not with Jason in the middle of his run where he was like pretty was there was a lightness to him Yeah, when they're separate, they're ye okay is you know, but together They' gruesome touesome. And so yeah, it it's he goes here And it's a good exit for a villain, right? Like this is one of those like this is a villain that told you his master plan and gave you just enough time to unlatch yourself and then like he's hoisted by his own whatever, Stehven be saying. you know, So I really think that that's was exactly what this was, right? This is the downfall you get for somebody who's playing so dastardly. So I know you listened to some of his exit press. What was he saying U I listened to the Eit press and he was Basically, o, he said, I thought this was very entertaining. He said I was betrayed by every single person I was ever aligned with. and I was like say more things. and he says, Yeahah, even in the first vote The first time we had to vote out Jennifer Lenzetti Jason was the first person who betrayed me thought we were voted for thought we were voting gonna to keep Jennifer. but he wanted to vote her out because she's acting crazy a tribal counsel. But I was like, no, we need we need her. We should get rid of Sydney. She's twenty three. She's going to flip on us
