But I just think everyone expects us to like leave off where we were last year And yes, we have like some of the same players as last year, but we also have so many new players that are playing huge minutes for us. and I think it just takes a second to You know, get rhythm and chemistry and trust each other. Like I think this is very normal team things, but we have to like do it sooner than later. Like it's It's everyone's a little frustrated with how we're playing because we all know we're better than it But I think sometimes you need this type of stuff in order to get to like the root of the problem of whatnot. And then this is when to blossom. So tonight we play Alanta Dream. Yes, we're on a two game losing streak, which is not great. They were on the road, no excuses We at least need to win one attitude when you're on the road. likeike you need to win one of them, especially when you're capable of winning them. All teams are good this year. So that also makes it a little more difficult, but tonight is a big game for us. Back to you saying everyone hates you guys. obbviously the CC part of it all. I think right when she got into the league, it was very clear that she was kind of getting bullied and people were trying to makeake a statement. Are there other aspects you think to the fever that make other teams kind of put a target on your back I mean, you, I mean, you kind of could be one too is like the shit talker Yeah, ye, yeah. No, a thousand percent. I just think that we We just have get so much attention drawn to us U Yeah, nationally televised every game. Yeah. in life. I get that. And I understand it. L when I wasn't on Indiana, like it was like, oh, like you guys get all attention and we'll prove to you that you don't deserve the attention type stuff. And so and right now, like We we are likeike a five hundred team. likeike we we should we're in the bottom of the pack right now. Like we have got to be winning these games that we're losing. And the only thing I appreciate right now is like First, we're not gonna pek too soon. Ive said that multiple times already on this podcast And two, I think I'd much rather be going through the trenches right now than in September and October. So like far the season We're just like everything we do is just highlighted and on a, you know, microscope, everyone's watching every little thing we do. And I think there's some moments that I see in our rundown that we want to talk about that's kind of been blown out of proportion, you know, with stuff going on with our team during timeouts and whatnot But I think these are all learning lessons. it's an opportunity to grow and get better. And sometimes you just need kind of the ickiness in order to start building that chemistry and trust. you know? I do think as someone who, again, like a football guy where you don't really ever have time to kind of like go on losing streaks or whatever. I do admire All right, I I value an NBA sched, or excuse me, like a W NBA, NBA schedule that you you are given time to like up a little and fix and get better. We're like football I just because I've played fobld my whole life have never been given the opportunity to like growing pains and learn from them, you have to be good every single weekend. And so I think there's beauty to like struggles, like you said, especially when you have enough games to like rewrite your ship. Uh you mentioned sidelin. U O time outs I came across my desk, a little clip of CC with your ach were you like I mean, I think most athletes would be like that's just someone who cares about winning and like has passassion and energy, but I'll let you kind of give everyone the inside scoop to what happened there. You know, I don't even know if there was like any inside scoop. I think that Daring Steph and CC are two very competitive people who just want to win and sometimes you you bump heads, but it was all out of like good intent of winning the same thing. And like at the end of the day, like we were not playing good. I'm not condoning her actions. like I think there's room to grow in how you respond to things, but she would say the same thing and her and steuff are fine. And that's like their relationship. And you know, later that night or the next morning they hugged it out and they talked about it. Like when you are in high competitive situations pretty much four days out of the week, like stuff is going to happen. But like I said, our stuff is just under a microscope and everything you do, everything you say is going to be a highlight reel for somebody. And I think media loves to create division where there's not always division And so It's two competitive people who want to w at a high level. and I think that's really all it was. And so if you don't know that, if you don't know them, was it a bad look? maybe But at the end of the day, it's two people who want to win. So not the first person to ever do that at And then they made a big de out of her skipping media. Do you as someone who loves a post game interview U thoughtoughts. She Oh, she skipped she skipped post gay media? Against the Valkyrie, I believe I don't think that there' anything. I think she had to get like her she didn't get her game leftif in before the game. He's from like from Southern California. like he's been smoking his whole life. I would say like H ninety nine percent of the people That that does not make you sharper. Like I we talk about this on the plane ride and we're all like, how did people because I feel like people would be idiots Didn't you tell me that you think you played better Hungover once Um No, I think in college, I don't think you get really hung over in college and I don't really like I don't condone this condone this, but like I think we were all out at a concert or something the night before. and like We had to you had to lock in. like you and I wasn't I wasn't like hammered. I don't think I was like hung over, but I was out I say. I knew I had to lock in because like they knew that I was out and I got in trouble because I was actually going to a Oh my gosh Somo. It was a Somo concert. Do you remember Somo Do you like R and B is where my way up. Yeah. Oh yeah, I think so So it was a SOMo concert and like all my high school friends and everyone in college was going. And I went and I actually wasn't I didn't drink. I actually really didn't, but I was out late And they found out And I was like, okay, but I wasn' drinking they're, but you still missed curfed. And so I knew I had to like lock lock in And so then I played good anytime you walked in. I got suspended my senior year for going to When Montana State played Montana and basketball, I went with like six other dudes to Missoua or the University of Montanees and Everyone drank before, but like three of the guys were like fucked up and we were sitting right behind like school like faculty and administration and stuff And they're kind of being like the student section obviously was like booing us and like doing shit but they were like giving it back. Yeah. And it was my senior year and everyone else was like junior, sophomores or whatever. U and I guess it was like a really bad look and I it was spring ball so it didn't really matter. It was like win winter conditioning. But I got to spend it on a Monday for the rest of the week and I couldn't do it anything. I think that I think that's what it was is like At the end of the day First of all, you're in college I got in trouble more because there's like a bad look and I broke the haveook the correct team curfew. And I was like Okay, but I could have been I could have been out out. You know what I mean? And I wasn't. So I tried to plead my case. And then I went in She could have been shaking her ass until three AM and she wasn't. I she was. She was. But I had I logged in, so it's fine Yeah College. Cege. Y, the back. It's not my style of conflict or communication, but I mean, I'd be lying if I was like, oh I wasn't prepared for people to say mean stuff. Yeah, and I think my dating patterns and dating style Do deserve criticism, a lot of criticism. but yeah, like there's some things that I was kind of like What are we doing here? I mean, the whole like I'm a clout chaser with influencer friends like that everyone was stuck on. My main friend group In New York is made up of zero influencers. I have like few influencer friends and have hung out with some influencers in New York because that's the career that we all share Every single one of my Best friends in New York City are friends I've known Before the show started, That was kind of that part's always confusing to me Um ' I got I got day one Homie's son And Clouout chasing part of it. I'm like, wouldn't it clout chasing movev be like date Sierra that would clearly benefit me more than anyy other decision I've ever made, like I and yeah, and like the whole like, I'm super calculated shit. If I was calculated, I would be in this fucking mess. I'm in this mess I've made Mistakes and like around too much. like I If I if I was calculating and trying to do the right thing and I would have just dated Sierra, I'm like, That that will never make sense to me, but I like you said, people are are angry and t shit to talk. So that's what the union is for to let them do that. But Sometimes I'm like D you guys didid any of you want to like stick up for yourself or like say anything, but you just didn't have the opportunity to say anything because they just kept going at you guys or think Mbe One day the time will come to like really, really stand up. But like, I mean, again, I I was like dude, I did lie to you guys. likeike you have everyvery right to be upset with me. I just know like meeting Meeting anyone on that level is not One, it's not natural for me in any capacity. Two, I don't think that will ever in my lifetime be how I Yeah. stand up for myself. Like a really like is so clear But unions are like Not what I am made for at all, you know Now. I will say like, And tell me your thoughts here But like even kind you were friends with Dara before. Oh yeah H kind of calling you out on your prerevious dating life and all that. are Tal about that a little bit because I think people want to hear about that. but also are your relationships with other people in the house arere they starting to mend a little bit behind the scenes? Like what is like where is everybody at? or are people trying to figure it out? I think the reunion is good for people to just get shit off their chest and like I Kkyle has every right to be upset like you mentioned earlier. And then again, we spoke a few weeks later, like I talked about last week. I think He had the reunion to like be angry. and then after that we had like very civil swords down conversation. And so I do think If it was me, like, I think A reunion would be helpful to just get my anger out and then try to communicate after and like, yeah, I've talked to a handful of people since and it's obviously It's never going to be as high intensity as it real.
