We get on with the show He are you up all night tossing, turning, mind racing Trouble getting to sleep, trouble staying asleep Well, welcome it. This is sleep with me The podcast it puts you to sleep. What we do is a bedtime story. All you need to do is get in bed, turn out the lights and press play And I'm gonna do the rest I'm going to attempt to do is create a safe place where you could set aside whatever's keeping you awake. They could be thoughts on your mind, thoughts that you're thinking about Thoughts about the past, the present, the future, thinking thoughts, it could be feelings, anything coming up for you emotionally. Feelings related to those thoughts, feelings that are just there, feelings that are showing up. It could be physical sensations. Changes in time, temperature routine. You could be going through something, getting over something U in the middle of something, whatever it is I'm here to keep you company and take your mind up. stuff maybe strive. I mean, not I definitely strive to bring you sleepy joy and delight To be a friend in the deep Dark can and help you fall asleep eventually. The only reason I kind of list some of the stuff that might be keeping you awake is that I've been there or someplace very similar I'm not sure exactly what brought you here But you are in good company, whether you're checking the shot for the first time, you're referring you're returning to it after a couple of years of break, you know, your life changed a little bit and you say, I can use that sleep podcast again. well spe that listens night after night after night. I'm glad you're here and I'm here to to help out in One of the reasons I want to help out is that I know what it's like for me when I can't You get the sleep I need and I desire on a regular basis And I'm not sure if it's if it's closely like also can say's for me, it's a non positive experience. Oh boy Is it so non positive that I have to state it in a way that I have to state it in general terms like that And it has like a thousand different degrees of non positivity Because when I go to bed, I would prefer it to be like the lotest people out there. mayaybe you're even sharing a bed with one of them And as soon as they lay down there right now, they may be even soundly sleeping next to you. mayaybe you got a pet. It's a little bit different. I mean It's tough to roll our eyes at pets. when they're sleeping so soundly, but you know, we can Uh But yeah, it's u It u That's not my experience, right? I wish it was my experience to h my head hit the billow And sleep is solid eight, eight and a half hours in a deep, deep slumber But that's just not the case. And it's also the case that I don't really feel like a lot of people there understand what it's like. and that's one of the reasons I make the show And that a lot of people like you might be like, I don't know if you understand what it's like for me and I may not The good news is there's a bunch of layers of goodness. belieelieve it or not We're kind of the thousand degrees in non positivity that just I experience I didn't realize this til just now when I'm recording it.'re tens and hundreds of thousands of good degrees of a positive version of that coming towards you or in your general direction, not right at you because I know he said, prefer nothing coming at me at bedtime. S not you know, n's just like u I don't know what term. getting sent in your general direction across the deep Dark Kight There's listeners like regular listeners who are in their beds right now And they're thinking of you. They're thinking of you as a new listener or a returning listener or regular listener who's struggling in the deep dark night And they're glad you're here. They're rooting for you. They're sending you comfort right now in this moment Fr around the world like it's happening right now And it's a kind of because they know what it's like to have those thousands of degrees of non positive experience at bedtime Oh, how could let me count the waves. I could describe how it's non positive. There's so many more listeners than that non positive experience out there right now wishing you well Some of them have dealt with something very similar to what brought you here and some of them are dealing with something totally different That's the community around the show And it exists right now in this moment It's not something vague I'm referring to There are people sitting up in their bed or maybe they're getting cozy and cuddling or sitting somewhere else in the room winding down seending you kindness right now And if you need it, you're welcome to send it and receive it at the same time or just receive it or if you're new. coming back, you could say I just prefer to watch it I prefer to have a vague Yeah, I'll participate I'll be on the sidelines. That's cool. This is a show. You're welcome on the sidelines too You're welcome at the outside, you know, well outside the stadium or whatever, whatever metaphor you want to use cabin looking in the window The stadium at a distance Looking at the party, I see that's a pretty I'm pretty comfortable watching this party that beach party from here Al I'm saying is we're glad you're here and we get it. O We strive to even if not all of us get it exactly. Uh We're happyier here and I hope I can help and that's what the listeners hope They hope that the show can help you like it help them Because we all know you deserve a bedtime where you could get the rest you need on a regular basis A bedtime you don't have to dread or put off, a bedtime you could look forward to or at least feel neutral about And that's something we all wish for you. becausecause you deserve it. You deserve a bedtime and the rest you need on a regular basis. So not only is your life more manageable, But ideally you could be out there in the world flourishing And that's what the show is really about like underneath it all an indirectly connected community Like a heartfelt. I don't know The rest of the show is kind of silly. J as partarks the important part to point out. And even then You could just yeah, you could stay at a distance from it because I, you know I need to keep my distance from Some of that stuff sometimes too I say, okay, that's enough from all that Uh so so I'm glad you're here. And the way this show works is I send my voice across the deep Dark Net's lowing, soothing, creeak adulsit tones, pointless meanders and superfluous tangents So I go off topic, I get mixed up, Then I forget what I was talking about Uh then I then I use a bunch of filler words and stuff like you know, like that then I use even more filler words But my voice is not traditionally soothing. I use semi voicerusted even is only soothing crig adults don't spointlessmanders and superfluous tangents. I guess they kind of got mixed up there somehow in the moment, but Yeah, I think I went on already a few tangents already so many so much went in a tangent before the show even started during just the very What we call the teaser or the welcome But anyway yeah, this is a little bit different of a show and the thing is when most people get here, they don't like the show So I don't know if you found the show through a search or recommendation or you just stumbled upon it But you may not like. You may be skeptical. you may be doubtful. You may be like man What are you going on about And I get it. That's the way most people feel. ends up most people never like the show. mostost people don't ever like me or the show, but peopleople it does it just takes two or three tries. I mean, some people get it right away. For forapy it takes two or three tries and then you say, o, okay, now I get it. Because when you first get here, you probably have some reasonable expectation of what a sleep podcast would be. And the shows a bit different than that, right? And u And so you're like what are you going on? You know, it's a bit different. So just give a few tries because that's what regular listeners, people that First they didn't like to show the second time they were like I'm not so sure about it And then the third try they said, Oh, it is always going nowhere. It is always never getting started. I had no idea to look for something like this think I would want like I knew like innately, I know I wanted this, but I didn't know someone would make it So just see how it goes. And if it doesn't work out, like this shows now for you or You're in a place where you already are certain we're not a fit. like I'm not so sure about you or the podcast where I'm one hundred percent positive. I'm not I'm having a non positive experience of listening to you That's normal too. I have a web is so normal I have a website set up Sleep withithe podcast dot com slash no thank you which has other sleepy stuff on there. so you could find something that will help you in has other sleep podcasts and sleepy stuff and you'll find something, hopefully that'll help you out Now a couple of things that do take some getting used to is one, this is a podcast that you don't really listen to. It's like a TV, it's like a how to focus picture or a TV on in the other room or a show streaming under your pillow. or something you're barely paying attention to or a friend on the phone who's kind of dull professor or seminar presentation partarticularly this style episode. this is one of the more popular styles Like imagine a friend Facimer called you And you' in bed comfortable And they said, okay, I got a new lay like a a new plast where are they called interconnected bricks set And I'm just going to walk you through the instructions for the next forty five or fifty minutes You'd say, o do you actually expect me to pay attention What do you mean why? Well, I'm going to go through the instructions. I'm going to describe what I see. Now there's a one more caveat, which is this particular friend and this most of the time your friend may have actual working interconnected brick like vocabulary and knowledge. Not I do not I get I don't know my four by four but two by six I say I mean, I'm familiar with the I think the no it's a two by four, I think or four by two. So you say, huh, That's an interesting idea. I say, yeah, but like so it's kind of like that a friend in the deep dark Night to keep you company and talk to you so you could fall asleep, but you don't really need to listen Listening is optional This is also a sleep podcast that I've been making for about thirteen, thirteen and a half years. twelve and a half years. I don't even know But it's it's there's no pressure to fall asleep with the show. The show is not meant to put you to sleep. It's meant to keep you company while you fall asleep And for for a person that sleeps all that may sound like I mean, for anybody, it might be confusing But what I mean is I'm going to be here over an hour whether you're awake or sleep, whether you're listening to me or not And that's why the episodes are over an hour. So you don't have to think about, oh, what do I what about if I'm not asleep in twenty minutes Or are you going to stop talking or putting bricks together, whatever like at thirty minutes or forty minutes or No, I'm going to be here to the very end because there's people listening who can't sleep at all for whatever reason They're waking up in the middle of the night or early in the morning They need a break during the day They just need some company, whatever it is a mild voice in the deep dark night or the deep dark day to be there for them. So that's really my job is. my job iss not to put you asleep, It's to hang out with you. And you can fall asleep when whenever works to be a distraction, to be a misdirection Be my job iss to be your boyfriend. your borebay. your're bore sib, your neighbor, your borebe, your boran You' chairm of the boards your Boris Borlaff, your best boyfriend f ever. and just to hang out and not to but not to be listened to which is pretty sweet Like and there's over six hundred shows to choose from. so you could if you if you start listening on a regular basis, you could kind of plenty of stuff if you need it or you if you start to develop certain tastes around the show. You can kind of pick and choose what works for you But I'm here Bh. to be here for you. comfort in the deep dark night, maybe some sleepy joy and delight That's what a boyfriend does boyfriend is in my like Whatever the new mid is, right mild u bad like Mana says. he's not he's not a bad he's not a bad boy He's I'm the not bad boy Oh he's not bad. Oh, she says I'm not bad. She says ye, he's not he's not a bad boy. He's not not bad boy He's not bad. No, not like that th. He's just not he's not bad. I can't do my Nana's voice right now. But it's in my head echoing always, E though it's only my a lot of people Like only you know what? when a like u It's like every once in a while, somebody will want to ask me or or talk to me about the podcast right And uh Like sometimes they've listened the show a couple of times to be professional, right Th then other times there are actual listeners and an actual listener We'll be like is there do you have a nana? No, just an inter have an internal nana.'ve never had a Real world, Nana But I have somehow I got one installed And so I got that going for me But shew, he's not bad. He's not bad boy I don't quite have her voice down. I'm missing her. my imitation of my internal nana is off right now Anyway, those are a couple of things to know. The other thing if you're new I like to run through is the structure of the show and why we structure it the way we do and how you could adjust it If you become a regular listener, be see, I wouldd prefer it this way I' lay that out for you. So show starts off Friends me on the binary list jum boys and girls and I say something silly So you feel seen and welcomed and you say, hey, I might check that show out. Let me see if it's going to work for me thenen there's support so that paying for the show is optional because most people only listen the show when they need it. like for a couple weeks at a time or a couple days at a time And so you know, it makes sense to listen to ad supported listener, supported version of the show. If you prefer something without ads or you listen all the time, you'll you'll hear ways to do that. but u For most people, they'd prefer paying for it, be optional So there's a support then after the support is an intro of the podcast. It takes fifteen to twenty minutes to introduce the podcast. which is terribly inefficient. I'll be honest U and that's my it's my not my, you know, it's it's not my will. It's my forte Well, I guess it is my will and my for say Where there's a will, there's a fore in the case of will fore. but u In this case that actually kind of works because my the will part is that I will show up every intro and be here for you with something new that follows a familiar structure so that Whatever it is that may be keeping you awake, it feels respected, right? Oh, this person's putting out a new intro every single time U whatever it is that keeps me awake prefers fresh things versus something repetitive stuff in the past that's worked for me. It only works two or three nights and then it doesn't work anymore if it's repetitive. So that's one of the reasons the intro every intro is different. But the reason It's fifteen or twenty minutes long, not just because it's my forte, but it's also because the intro is designed to ease you into bedtime N to put not to put you to sleep. If you fall as sleep fast, please consider supporting the show because this it's not a U falling sleep fast is great, but u It's not conducive to like the long term sustainability show. but for most people they're in bed getting comfortable They're winding down, They're chilling out somewhere. they're getting ready for bed And intro is one of the things that just eases you into bedtime, right? So you have a buffer between being awake and asleep. It can be part of your wind down routine U So that's why the intro goes on and on and on for fifteen to twenty minutes If you decide you don't you like the show, but you don't like the intros We got you taking care of. There's a Another version of the podcast called Bedtime Stories from Sleep and Me It doesn't have the interest. It just has the welcome and the stories. U if if that works better for you. If you're if you're like a super listener, you're not Sleper pllus you get both versions at the same time U. So but at first just see how it goes, right But yeah wind down during the intro. It's like a sleepover where we all kind of hang out together And then later on, I'll be doing this run through these brick building instructions and eas you off into dreamland And all told I'll be here for about an hour U and yeah, just see how it goes. I'm glad you're here. if you're coming back, I'm glad you're back And I really want to help you out. like a year and strive to help you fall asleep. So does the team of people that work on the show. It's important to us you out in the deep dark night, eh and bringing you some easing comfort And if the show brings you comfort on a nightly basis or more than one episode a night And then there's a way you could like be rebellious and think about support one of these sponsors of the show directly. These are the ways you could do it. Thanks Hey everybody, this is Scoots. In this episode is a part of our participation, or're encouraging the Orlando Park Stop fundraiser, which we've been proud to support the past couple of years on the show, making it fun and sleepy. The Orlando Park Stop fundraiser, organized by Alicia Stella has raised over one hundred ten thousand dollars since twenty twenty two for the Trevor project And I'd love it if you participate and let me know about it. So all you need to do is go to Orlandoparkstop dot comot You could donate directly to the fundraiser for the Trevor project there. You could shop for prints, you could check out the auction items, you could buy some stickers and then whatever you do, then reach out to me through the contact form on our website. let me know what you got And then I'm going to send two of people. I'm going to pick two names out of all the people who participate. and I hope it's a lot. I'm going to pick two names. I'm going to send each person A Lego kit one of the Lego kits we used for this episode from Horizon Air. their Disney specific Lego kits really fun. And I'm going to send you a little sleeping me swag pack, stickers, magnets, who knows what else So participate in something amazing, be a part of something positive or Lgo Orlandoparkstop dot com or use a link in our show notes Thanks everybody Heybody, this is Drew Scooter. I just want to lay out some of the goals I have for sleeping me whichich really haven't changed much in the history of the podcast. My biggest goal is not to put you to sleep but to bring you some comfort relief Peace of mind, some good company in the deep dark night, a friendly distraction maybe bring you some sleepy joy and delight so you could fall asleep. But if you can't sleep or it's really difficult or whatever it is that you're dealing with that you know somebody's there for you, somebody's there with you that you could just listen to and you don't really have to pay attention to. because that's what I always wanted my whole life, particularly when I was younger and I couldn't sleep at all. was just some kind of comforting presence to help me fall asleep or to get through the night. So are the main goals of the show. I'm not sure if you share any of those goals, if you already do, you're saying Yesots You've done all that for me. Spread the word about the podcast or sign up at sleepingmepodcast. com slash plus So we can keep doing that. I guess the secondary goals of the show are to make sure the podcast is free for anyone that needs it who couldn't pay or for anybody to discover it maybe just like you did, not knowing it's out there, not knowing what it's like until they try it out a few times and they say, holy cow, had no idea this would work for me. but I'm so glad I found it or for people that just need the podcast every once in a while When they're going through a really, really tough time. Those are the secondary goals. And I guess the third level goals is I'd like to keep making this show long into the future. I'd like to podcast to keep coming out on a regular basis. So if any of those goals, the primary goals of the show, the secondary goals of the show or the third level goals of the show resonate for you. If any of those goals impact you, could you Please consider supporting the show in one of those two ways. It's so powerful and you could be a part of those goals coming true. You could say to yourself every single night, I let five people know about the bodcast. I let one person know about the bodas. O and this is the truth, my sixty dollars a year changed the entire history of sleep with me, my two hundred forty dollars a year, my seven bucks a month. It's what makes the difference between the show being here for free for people to discover it to bring people that sleepy joy and delight. And I'm so proud of that Either one will change the future of the podcast will make all those goals come true. just like our first episode was you you make my dreams come true. This next episode coming out. this episode is is u is a community effort really. And if you want to be a part of that community effort, please consider supporting the show I spread the word Burn it directly. Thanks Ebody this is Scoooots. It's time for some brick building and this is again a part you probably heard me talking about this. But if you're listening to this not in the summer of twenty twenty six, You can always support the Trevor project through the Orlando Park stop page. or directly because this show's about helping other people and Heling you in the deep dark night and helping people in the deep dark day. And I just want to do shout out to Alicia Stella. all the hard work Alicia does N not just with the Orllanda Bark stop, but with this amazing fundraiser and Horizonar design where I purchase these kits from forget the instructions and everything and being willing to take part in this And yeah, hopefully a couple of year getting some cool things. but so we're going to start and this will be two episodes or so. I think one right at the start of the fundraiser and one right at the end of the fundraiser. But we'll see have other sets I ordered And again, this is also variations on a theme lastast year we were doing the Muppets before the Muppets announcement of the changes of closing down the Muppets Theater in the Muppets courtyard, Pizza Rizzo. And this year we're doing something after it Disney chang is working on changing things over And that's the Dino Institute. Unfortunately, they also closed down restestronosaurus. which I know there's other podcasts and YouTubers who' done deep deep dives there Really was a really cool u restaurant full of so many quality details and hopefully Disney is going to start like a re rebirth of that or return to that way of doing things inststead of designing spaces like you could find anywhere The restaurant of Source was incredibly unique. had a whole like multiple layers of story integrated with the land But tonight's about brick building One break at a time And we'll see if we can complete the CTX timerver from the Dino Institute or if it'll take us two episodes and It's been a while. So we're going to start off with some plates. You can't work with the Dyino Institute without, you know, working with plates because Dinos have plates and the first Dino book ever saw I think it was from Museum of Natural History and it referred to paintings as plates But I could be incorrect But we're going to start off with two plates. And I got to figure out how to do. Oh no, we're going to start off with three plates two we're going one two three four, five, six by six a six by six black or dark gray plate two of those squares side by side and then we're going to take a two by I'm presuming it's twelve, two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve two by twelve and we're going to put that underneath Yeah the rectangle we just created creating a slightly larger rectangle So basically working on a base But then we're going to flip that base over. Uh or place it on top of something And these are more plates, smaller ones. They are two by two four sixes Two by sixes. We're gonna have one reed two by six. onene yellow or mustard two by six. just like the pipes inside of the Dyino Institute that had the Cstructions of mustard, ketchup and May or going maybe it was going to Raurantosaurus D I say two wh two by six plates And we're going to use those this will be interesting. how So we're going to have our tangle upside down and the top line. So in I'll use north, southeast and west repeatedly incorrectly, but on the so if north is where you're facing you're always facing north Even when you're upside down, even in a sleep podcast, even when I'm trying to give directions straight ahead Norse or left and right and behind you. I will interchangeably change. So if North or in front of you, You can have the rectangle U like it's a television. So not so horizontal, not vertical And on the top vertical will be the center Two by twelve And we're going to attach that two by twelve as well as attach the two two by tw s. two by sixes. And I think the easiest way to do that is to take the red. two by six plate and that's going to overlap on all of them. So it's going to connect the two two by six plates and on the top two pips, they're going to attach to the u two by twelve Thus creating making all of them secure against one another as a rectangle And then to the left or west of the let's say left for now to the left of the red that we justplaced one pip separating it. We're going to put a parel of the yellow plate So that'll be It'll have like two more pips to its left empty space and it'll overlap on our two by twelve and our left side two by six Then to the right of the red We'll do our first two by twelve Tw by twelve, right? two by six, two by six a white plate with, you know, just a little separation. A one pip separation So it'll be its's top two pips. be these are all upside down. I think maybe I made that clear pping into the plate and underneath the plates But there' be one pip space to the right of the red plate and we'll put that first white plate there And then we'll go another white space And say, Scoots, whereere am I putting this last white plate? And I say, yeah, it's going to overhang. So one row, it's left row when it's upside down of pips will be attached to the two by twelve in our right side of the T by six or six by six So it'll be overhanging and that will conclude step two But not quite because I'm not sure I understand. So I have a new instruction, but I don't understand it Four Okay, so for the next thing, we need four Two by six is in one F by or No F, six, eight Oh yeah, because a rectangles eight and now it's eight by twelve Okay huh Okay, I'm confused, but that's okay twow, three, four Okay. so basically what we're going to do is we're going to take our four by eight our white four by eight plate and we're going to we're going to everything is still flipped over right And we're just going to extend our base. So the overhang of the furthest right plate We're going to also use to connect that four by eight plate to our rectangle. So we're just making a larger rectangle where the further the side is is a white plate instead of a black plate Okay, then We're going to flip it back over. We're going to have four to by Sixes and We're going to So we're going to flip our plate back over. We have now just have one giant plate in a sense that's secured. And we're going to want to place it in front of us as a rectangle, like a horizontal rectangle with the white plate on like the white side on the right in in like on the furthest right And then what we're gonna to do is we're going to take those four Two by sixes And we're going to start securing the top But we are going to leave some gaps. So we're going to take our first two by six And we're going to place it vertically on the left top left of our plank plank or whatever you want to call it like ate We've create, we're creating our base plac this first one vertically. So there's two pips above, two pips below and it's flush on the left side Okay Then we're going to take the next three two by sixes And we're going to place those horizontally to the right of the plate we just placed vertically vertically We're going to do these three horizontally. Flush with the plate we just placed with pips above and below one set of pips So in a sense we're creating a rectangle on a rectangle. We're also securing the top side of this rectangle Okay, then we're going to take two more White two by six plates, right In this one, we're going to place Horizontally in the middle So it's going to be lined up with the horizontal middle white two by six plate we already placed it moving from left to right And then we're going to place the other one vertically another two by six white plate vertically flush on the right side of our rectangle with the pips below and pips above Then we're going to take two two by six black plates G plates And we're going to place those alsoso horizontally above and below the horizontal white plate we just placed compleomting a full rectangle on top of a rectangle that goes all the way. So it's twelve across But it's only six up and down Okay, and then we're going to keep our Saying in front of us? or no. Yeah, I guess so. No. Oh no now we're going to Okay, what am I doing here Yeah, I think you are right. Okay. so now we're on step five And step five, we need three two by six black or dark gray plates. So three of those And then we need four now we're moving into blocks, one by four onene by sixes So, you know, long thit, longer thin ones Okay now how are we going to do this here? Okay, so what we're going to do here is we're going to start on the left side. We're going to count three pips in. So we're going to at the top on a rectangle attached to a rectangle. So our rectangle that is Six by twelve. On the left side, it it's made from white plates We're going to count three pips on the top line from left to right. one, two, three And on the fourth and fifth pips Vvertically, we're going to place one of the dark gray Two by six plates So it'll go from top to bottom Then we're going to place one of the White blocks one by six Then we're going to place another dark gray two by six plate then we're gonna place a two by six dark gray Then we're going to place two In a row. So in a row where one and then another. So two in a row white one by six blocks. So something is coming up vertically clearly Okay, that's step five Now moving to step six What we're going to need is one Um onene by six block And one Oh no two, I'm sorry, two two by six blocks. two by six block is like two blocks, you know, two pips longer than the classic two by four Lego block All these could be reversed to could I don't know what the differenceces, but St we're dealing with blocks Okay, so this one we're going to build on top of our or well, we're going to be keeping working on what we're working on. The first thing we're going to do is take one of the two by six blocks And we're going to go to the left of the we're going to place it vertically to the left of the two by six plate So flush against that plate to bottom So it should have to the left of it a row of six white pips and above and below it one one or two levels down or depend, you know, depending on how you do, you know It'll be on top of a black rectangle or dark gray rectangle that is has a white rectangle on top of it Then we're going to go all the way to the other end And we're going to place the other two by six block. in the same position on the other end, but so that way that one will be flush against the two two by six blocks or one by six blocks And I'll have a row pips to the right of it and then Hips below and above it. And then on the far right top of that two by six block vertically We're going to place the one by six block Ker starting to see a superstructure of a you know, some kind of vehicle because now that's the high the right side now has the highest except that now what we're going to do If we had right now it's in front of us like a television is a rectangle We arere going to rotate it. forty five degrees countercock no, forty five degrees clockwise. So we're going to take our rectangle And we're going to place it we're going to rotate it clockwise forty five degrees. So that now facing us or on the bottom will be the tallest portion is on the bottom And like the slowest portions on the on the top or Pointing southerly or ad Six o'clock is the last piece we just placed at the bottom. But technically not at the bot. I mean, depending on this is where I get mixed up with the terminology But I have a feeling this is either going to be the back or the front of the timer overver because next on step seven, we are going to place six spepecialized blocks. So these are one by one blocks with a round with a used to I had the terminology at one point. pip on the front of one single pip on the front of it for attaching stuff. So it's a one by one block with a little bit of a ridge And then a porthole. Yeah, let's just call it a one by one ridged porthole block for attaching them And we're going to place all six of those rightight at the bottom. we should have open you know now our rectangle is vertical instead of being horizontal, And if we look at the bottom of our rectangle bottom line of it, the southern line The six o'clock Oh six o'clock southern line of Lago blocks or block blocks There should be a line. And we'll place all six of those so the portals are facing south or towards six They're going to be for we I think we could presume a little bit S things' going to attach them whether it's lights or some sort of bumper Whatever it is It'll be happening at some point Okay. now we're going let's just keep our let's keep everything a rectangle where it is, right So the next thing we're going do is get five Specialized blocks. The good thing is this comes in a kit so we don't have to look through every block we have These are yellow or mustard. And They're L shaped blocks with a double porthole. So they're two by ones They're L shaped with portals on the front and then on the L are two pips. So they're the meant to be these are ones that are good for attaching on the bottom of something And what we're going to do is on the left side. So the nine o'clock West left side of our rectangle. on the bottom. So we'll just lift up our rectangle a little bit. and running from bottom to top or top to bottom facing so the portals are facing out to our left to the west to nine o'clock. as if we're attaching something to the left side We're going to run those Now we'll know where to start either at the top or the bottom because we're going to leave three pips open at the top and the bottom. which means that our fromom top to bottom Our thing is sixteen pips So when we're done The middle ten pips will be will have a like a I don't know, thing on the left hand side nine o'clock side. Western side O our rover. O overver, over Rver. We're building you some You know, Lalo But I think I' been somewhat clear there And now we're not going now we're moving to seven nine. We're not going to repeat the same thing. What we're going to do is continue building on this left nine o'clock Western side And what we're going to build is more of this area. So we're going to, you know, do some leveling out maybe even And if you're familiar with the time roover, you're going to kind of see something starting to take shape. It could be like a boat. It could be a rover, it could be a ship. It's it could be a it's a it could be a vehicle I guess is a good time for New Pause and say, hey, this is actually a good superstructure where you could get creative If you're good at that kind of thing with Lgos But we're going to continue working on this left western nine o'clock side of our Rangle or rover, rectangular rover And what are we going to need? We're going to need three one by one plates that are dark gray Uh or no plate no, no, those things are called tiles. I'm sorry tiles. Holy cow. Tiles have no pips. plates have pips So we're need three one by one dark gray Siles three one by one white Late one One by two. Kyle that's dark gray and then one One by two plate that dark gray And here's going to be the order D takeake it from top left West nine PM to bottom along the left edge of our rover going from top so we're going to start at whatever. whatever nine ten like Lleven. tenen betweenetween ten and eleven top left corner We're going to leave two pips open And then beneath those going vertically We'll put the one by two dark gray plate So one of its pips will be behind our yellow like u Lsing thenen below that will do a one by one plates. No, tile one by one dark gray tile Below that will'll do a one by one white plate. So it'll be lined up with the u Like you're going to start to see it lines up with the right colors Below that we'll do a one by two dark gray tile Below that a one by one white plates. Below that, two more one by one tiles And then below that another one by one white plates So it'll go two pips tile, one pip tile tile, one pip tile tile in one pip by But one of those times it'll be double tile. the other time it'll be single tile. Okay we're going to continue working on this side of the rover. And we're going to have some real specialized stuff here. First're going to have a wedge, a one by one wedge plate. Then we're going to have five tie no one by one tie wedge tile That's dark gray. then five yellow and black striped plates that are one by two But they're tiles, not plates. they keep miss vocabulary And then we're going to have One w by Uh one block that's white and one one by one block that's dark gray Now the easy part is on the face of our yellow L. we're going to place the plates the tiles the straped tes. So it says, Hey, watch where you put your feet kind of thing or this is a timerver by the way. So it's kind of like a decorative striper across the side of our rover and it covers up the yellow all the poroles. So basically all the yellow poroles we're going to cover with these yellow and black striped. styles Then Um How are we going to do this here? Okay, we're going to start on the bottom. We're going we're look working on the left nine o'clock western side of our Rver rectangle So we're going to go to the bottom Warner of our Rver, which and we're going to have two open white pips going from bottom to top on the third open pip on the furthest left as side. the bottom left corner. So right around sixix seven betweenween seven and eight o'clock. We're going to put the one by one white block. then in front of that we're going to put the one by one dark gray block Then on the top of the dark gray block, we're going to put the One by one wedge plate on top of that. So the flat part So the wedge is going downwards towards the northern twelve o'clock sideide of our rover. So kind of like So the flat side is connect connected to the U whatever you'll you'll get it. I don't know if I don't think you could do it wrong either. Okay, we're going to continue working here on the left nine o'clock western side of our rover. U And what are we going to need? We're going to need one twoo by one blade to onene by one plates And then three Um Double porthole one by one double sized like two vertical pthole Um blocks u port holes or the pips on the side are pips on the side, I think is what I used to use. but I like por holes Never been on one of those I've never been on one of those kind of things before with portoles, but u Okay, so we have three of those. All these are white So we're going to do first is take the two one by one blocks, put them on top of each other And then we're going to put that on top of the white one by one block that we placed at the bottom left of our rover whatever seven or eight o'clock between seven eight o'clock We're going to place it on top of that. So still be two pips. then there's a one by one block and then we're going to put these two plates on top of that. So now they're flush with the back of our wedge then in front of that wedge black block with with the wedge on top. We're going to put our first porthole piece. So it'll be lined up with the it'll make sense, I think. because it's it's the only place where it can go. because of the plates on the ground. then we're going to do the same thing above it. So two more spots above it. There should be open pip. Portthle should be facing out to the left nine o'clock West. And then we're going to do that again above it in the open pip And then above that one pip space, there should be two pips, which will place the one by two white plate on top of So that'll be the only thing that kind of is like takeakes some deducing, but there should still be an open plate then two pips then it drops down to two pips on the upper like around like ten eleven. There should still be two open pips Uh yeah Okay. so now for right now we're done with the left side We're not going to do any rotating, okay So we're still going to be referring to stuff in the same general directions in triplicate as I've been doing And this is step twelve. For step twelve, we need One One by six block one Two by six block and then Sree Um Specialized bricks, just just to get your attention. It's a one by two specialized block which is kind of shaped like a figure eight kind of. It's a different color than anything we've used. Like a sandy sandy color Maybe a dark maybe more of like a um I don't know, dust u Yeah ye, dusty Sandy gray gray Sandy sandy color We're going to need three of those. But so we're going to start on our bottom now we're going to be working instead of We're not moving anything in front of us. So our rectangle rover is still in a vertical rectangle in front of us pointing at us if we're working behind it on the southern six o'clock tier at the bottom There should be porttholes, right And what you're going to do is and on top of those portolals, on the they have pips on the top, right? You're going to place one of the the only one by six block from left to right along those portoles. So you can place that one horizontally across our tops of our porthle bricks Thus securing them all together and it should be flush with another one by six thenen in front of that moving upwards northerly towards noon But working from left to right Horizontally We'll place our two by six brick flush with the one by six bricks. kindind of working out what seems like it might be the back of the rover, but I don't know then along that same Ridge there should be an open set of pips. We're going to place the three two by O, one by twoos Specialized bricks. It's almost like the back of the seat maybe or something. I don't know. But we're seeing more and more structure taking place, right? Oh now we're going to continue that. So this is kind to make it easy on us So then we're going to get six more of those specialized Sandy gray uh blocks u which are one by two And we're going to do the same thing on our from left to right It'll make sense when you're looking at this thing because you'll see, oh, this is the floor And then there's a back of another row seats, then the floor, then a back another row seats So we work those from left to right Horizontally Oh and here we go. even more help. So now we're going to take nine Now these are interesting because they're a combination of plate and a tile. So they're they're a square. They're two by two square But on one side they're a plate and on one side there' tile So it's a tile, but with two pips on it on top. And we're going to do nine of those And we're going to place those on the floor in front of the pieces we just placed, but so the that the pips pips are always head going horizontally. cross. Like on our six o'clock southern downside of our vertical rectangle Rover. So just to kind of like help a little bit is that They're like the floor, but something's probably going to be attached to the floor And those two pips Okay, but now we're going to work on I guess the the the sides. Okay. So the next thing is we're going to do We're still working. vertically A rectangle is a vertical rectangle And we're still working on the left side. So we're going to need one onene by two plate and then six onene by two tiles And this is another one where it's like interesting. So the one by two plate is going to go on the bottom Lft two pips. So our left corner has to open pips the most like first find the like the left most pip in the left lower left corner and there should be one pip on top of that put that one by two plate on there. then we're going to go to our portholes in We're going to place the plates on the poroles, but in a way I wouldn't have expected which is u Each plate is going to go on the middle How do we do this? So there's six. So there's going to be two for each porthul. was there one for each portal. so we have portold bricks and they have six so have six bips total. We have six plates total. So they're going to go Kind of like Oh, they're going to line up they'll be lined up with striped plates below them or they'll be parallel with them, but they won't be lined up. So they're going to be. So imagine if you were sitting in a seat The doors don't open or close. You just slide in or out just like you did in the real attraction So there aren't doors so much as like a little There's a wall piece. It'll make sense one day. Don't worry. Okay. so we've got that our left structure is starting to take form. Now H one Okay, we're going to take a one one by two block And we're going to place that again on top of the same thing we just placed on the lower left to pips. So at like we're going to go to six or six o'clock to the south to the bottom and we're going to go to the left like seven or eight o'clock and then the two like pips we're going to place this onene by two block on those two pips Then we're going to take one by two U spepecialized white brick that kind of looks like it's not a wedge, but it's like a quarter pie piece. or half and half a circle or half an oval or something You'll recognize it even without me properly describing it. I know you can And we're going to place those on the pips above the doors we just placed so that it lines up with the doors. It'll be a little inset. U It'll make sense. believe me. N not just yet but it will eventually, I think It just adds a nice curvature because we want this thing to look modern
