We get on with the show Hey your all night tossing, turning, mind racing, trouble getting to sleep, trouble staying asleep welcome This is Sleep withith me. The podcast that puts you to sleep. We do it's a bedtime story. All you need to do is get in bed, turn out to like some breastpllay I'm going gonna do the rest what I'm going to attempt to do is create a safe place where you could set aside whatever's keeping awayake, whether it's thoughtgs feeleings and physical sensations Time, temperature, travel, you're out of town. S somebody else is out of town. You work a second or a third shift Whatever it is I'm here to help, I'm gonna try to create a safe placeace And ideally you feel treated with respect Dignity You feel welcomeed. It's one of the main things's like that I feel makes this safe placeaces. I'm glad you're here and it really want to help. Now the podcast, if you're new, give it a few tries and see if it helps. I'll explain more in a minute. Yeah But what I'm going to do is invite you in. Come on in. this is a safe place I'm trying to make for you I'm how I'm going to do it is I'm going to send my voice across the deeep Darkark night I'm going to use longing soothing, Creeaky Dulcit tones pointointless meanders tangents that have been rustified U sleepy sleepy dust that u That's on the wind L dust in the wind. tangents I going to go off topic. I'm going to follow your thoughts that were once secure, you know Like a bendy straw. My mind is like a bendy straw in my thoughtongs And not just one of those those bendy straws interesteresting. We'll come back to that. We'll talk straws in a little while. And you know, just like just like all everyone's saying now. I don't know if they're saying BY OhS, u But you know, one day you say, you like him, BYS most of the time, but you know, don't you don't have to. Yeah. But I haven't seen that. like I've heard the term But I haven't seen any shirts BYOS Beuse I guess there's so many S words And you might say, we're no, no, no, we don't want you to bring that ass, especially to this meeting of The community kindness meeting. No, no, no, no we meant straws, you know, for our floats Okay anyway, let's get back So if you're new, that's what I'm going to semi okay, semi voice across the deep Dragonight, long, soothing tonees pointless meanders. You know really I'm here to keep you company to tell you a story Well you fall asleep Now if you're new structurally what to expect, The show starts off with a few minutes of business That's how we keep the show going And you can find all that at our websitees, leavepodcast. com And then we have it intro, which we're like three minutes into. introros are around twelve minutes, kind of like a monologue Heavy on a log with a heavy log to make you sawen logs. If there was if there was a bunchline, I mean, whatever I don't think that I think that was a triple tag line Yeah, but the intro kind of is a to Reinforce the safe place to make you feel welcome to help you get ready for bed. or to help ease you into bed or to make your, you know, say, hey, brushing your teeth is so boring Now when Scoots is here I don't think about how boring it is because he's boring me It's exactly. you get it. totally If you're brushing your teeth right now might be a little bit hard to hear me, but if you can hear me, look at yourself in the mirror and smile and say Good job, a human You're darn, you know, you're doing the darn best you can And also great form by the way and that teeth brushing get, you know, that top right spot back there. goodood veryer good. never seen a brusher But some people listen, some people a few people skipped the intro and some, you know, some people fall asleep during it. some people listen to relax at work or traffic or you know to wilder coating or painting. or codating things and paint. We're writing code code for paint. it's a new thing The code based paint based code Hed be Oht know that's taken, but u Code based paint. that's another one You know, Paint does spread codes anyway, this' too deepper thinking we say, well, that's a code. Even a pictchure has code to it, you know Maybe Okay, my mebranines said keep going. I go back to the straws Okay, so there was an intro. then tonight we'll be talking about Carol King and going on a Carol King based guided adventure which will all be explained or you could sleep through it And the show end with some thans and goodood nights. There's a little bit of business between the intro and the show it's the structure of the show, but you don't really need to listen. I'm here to help you fall asleep and to keep you company just like a friend you would have over But there's no social compact. So like I've compacted the social compact and then I composted in. And out of the sky to totally work the metaphors out of that loamy compost a group podcast where it said, okay, this was once a social compact can we get the people from the Conjunction junction to maybe do a song about this. And then so out of that grouw a podcast where I said, once was a social compact? that you have to listen because it's a podcast is one that says No, no, no Just like houseplants. you don't have to listen to them. You know, they might like listening to you and you giving them attention. You know, when you're in bed, your houseplant's just chilling there It maybe the houseplant says, Well, I don't get any sun rays anyway. So I'm just going to kick it too And you can both be in a little bit of a passive mode. So you can kind of listen like a plant listens because a plant doesn't feel pressured to say M. oh yeah And then they you know, planant You I mean, maybe you ask a planant A you listening to me I don't think the planant would say clent, you know, really. Oh yeah. I do I enjoy hearing the vibrations and the kindness in your voice But I'm not really I don't have a processing center. I got some cambium in here. And you know, I got a root system and all that going, but haveave you have you based my oxygen? That's what I'm doing So you just keep talking. Don't worry. I'm listening in my own way Listen to me like a plant would I guess is what I'm saying. If you like can not listen at all. You can listen You know, I think that makes sense. I don't I haven't I haven't ever had a two way con. I mean, I have unfortunately had two way conversations with pliants You know, that's my thing, but like most of the time playing would say, keep going. You're doing great And maybe you could I could say to you as the plant in this example K kind of barely listening. You're doing great. That's what this podcast is here for That's why you're growing in the composted compact they the compacted compact that's been composted so you don't need listen to me. Also there's no pressure to fall asleep. The shows are an hour for a reason because I'll be here till the end. If you can't sleep You know, I'll be here to keep you company But you know, fall asleep at your leisure You got plenty of time And I'll be giving it a whole effort the whole time. You know I'll be trying to follow like I said my thoughts, like my Bndy Straw thoughts where I think that like here's the thing, here's a question that just came up in my brain about Bendy Straws. because there's a lot of things nowadays about you know, optim what do he say? optimizing things or effort or whatever I would assume that like I'm talking about one of those really bendy straws was like loop to loops and stuff If you're drinking a beverage through there take more work than like have any studies been done? They say, whoa You see where did Ryan Gasling get that jawline? and, uh They say, okay and then H, you know, say who's guy else's got great jawlines. I'm not an expert. Let may Harrison Ford u I don't know. you know, let's T, let's just say let's just useran gasling. We can all agree on and his jawline, right? probably One of my parts of my brain is squealing I didn't know I had a had that part of my brain in there The gosler But uh What if we went back? I maybe Ryan Gasling reach out to me like u Let me know if you used a bendy straw a lot Again, I'm not trying to um I could I mean also I bought a bunch of Bandy Strust stack before this episode in stock of Benistraas But you say Ohh yeah, no, Ryan Gosling only drank is like F twenty years of his life, majority of beverages were through Bandishrah You say really h? mayaybe that's where that draw line comes from Did I just say draw line mayaybe that's what it costs. Maybe it causes draws too Owen Wilson's got a sweet draw in a pretty darn good j jaw line. if you don't make me saying So I don't know what my theory was. That's my bend like I tried to talk about bending straws, my brain brain bended it in a whole other way. it so that's a theory. that could be a new podcast. Bendy Straws theories with Scoots Is seri one And I would say probably has to be no like I would not try to say, well, it wouldn't a feel like I think you're kind of doing something There's another part in my brain trying to suce associors what should I get a brandish straw And that'd say, no, no, you should yeah, you should buy stock and bndish our companies actually No, no, I'm kidding. I'm kidding No, I think it is more You know, Ryan Gasling's genetics and the Bendy Straw and being like a But here's the thing, it's fun Ian you could say it's like I'm drinking withndy straws. It's like drinking a beverage with Ryan Gasling Almost the same thing He you'd say good I guess you'd say Beny Srus good enough for gsling There you go. Yeah like I can feel my fortunes rolling in now. What was my point? I guess my point was my thoughts tend to go in those circles And also I was going to mention the other straws is the slightly bendy straws with the crimp in them. And I don't know how many people do use those to make noise like I do My brain also makes those noises like when you're playing with a bndish like a Yeah, Th those are Bndy straws too or adjust I think they call those adjustable straws talk about a marketing term. But I think it I guess it is an actual it is an adjustable straw U But straws are great and I think we've I think we've covered that. I think that we've we can all agree that straws are great and u Yeah, if it's good enough for gasoling, it's good enough for me, which is like a very could be a song Yeah Maybe Damien could get maybe we could do like a musical together I don't know. By Bendy Straw's the television the movie musical Anyone try to unbend my brain to get try to coalesce things into a point But you don't need a strong jaw line You don't need to drink through straws whatever it is like whatever is keepeping you up, whether you you have those things or you don't Whether you're straw free most of the time like I am. just because I'm a gulper like however you drink your beverages or don't You deserve a good night's sleep, whomever you are. I really, truly believe believe that. I believe you deserve to be treated with dignity in respect even internally timeim. And I want to help like bring some levity to that and goof around and You know, be sill Ohh they silly straw, maybe they come silly straws. what could be more perfect uh I'm gonna be silly like a straw. You said, well, it's more Bndy. I guess it's not Bndy. it's twirly It's not really I guess it is silly I don't know. I guess you don't have time to overthink that one But I'd like to be as silly as a straw and keep you company, mess around, Goof around. We'll have a little story tonight. We'll talk a little bit about factually about Carool King and then go on a little adventure. And you can fall asleep whenever you want. But if you need me. I'll be here for you. be here for you twice a week. doing my best cause I've been there in the Dep jerk night and, uh Well, this show doesn't work for everybody I hope it can help you I work very hard. I strive and I earn I'd really love to help you fall asleep. and I really appreciate you coming by Give it a few tries, seeee what happens. than you so much. And let's he a couple ways we keep the show it going Hey everybody this is Scoots and I want to talk to a very specific group of listeners tonight Maybe listening the show longer than a year, two years, three years, maybe even five years. And over that time, you've been listening the show Things have been financially tight, right? Well, Oive recently signed up to support the show and told me, yeah, I relied on the free podcast for years when I couldn't afford to support the show. But then Olive's financial situation changed and Olive was excited to support the podcast back when she could to keep the show a going to pay it forward, to pay it back. however you want to consider it. And Katie also sent an email about how isolating insomnia can feel, right in the deep dark and night just lying there. A lot of us have been there and it's just you in the deep dark night That's what it was like for me, particularly as a kid, alone in my room even though Somebody else was in the room, even though I was in a house full of people, I felt alone. And that comfort is what made Katie support the show. And then Caleb said, had no idea my seven dollars a month could make such a huge difference in the podcast and knowing that and hearing that is what made me sign up to support the podcast. So if the podcast has got you through tough times financially or you've been able to flourish financially because of the support of the podcast And you're in a place where seven dollars a month, sixty dollars a year or even one hundred and twenty two hundred and forty dollars a year. You get that much value out of the podcast and you'd pay for it if it was a product in a store or some giant corporation was selling sleep with me for two hundred twenty dollars a year. Please consider supporting the show now if you can so that the podcast can be there for the people who aren't in a place to support it. and it could be free for anybody to discover it whenever they need it. It'll be around because of your support. like Caleb, Kadian Olives. than you so much. You can support the show directly at Sleep withith mee pllus, sleep withithmpodcast d. com slash plus or by letting people know about the show and just spreading the word tagging me on social media or letting me know through the contact form on our website so I could surprise you. Thank you so much All right, everybody. I thought I'd do if you're new, it's been a little while since I've done one of these episodes.s not a super long time. like it is contacting the Carol King based algorithm that lives in my old iPod. It's like ten twenty twenty ten twelve years ago And I don't think I got an iPod to like just s or force generation Like I had one with a touch wheel there was the first one and maybe the second one had buttons in either the third and the fourth one while still having bladder drives You know what I mean? I mean you can't Google it, but I had one of those right. I had an iPod And this was back when the music business was still kind of trying to like figure things out. they did have Rhapsody for a long time, but you couldn't really use that on your iPod, but you could use that on your desktop to stream music similar to what we do now And I believe Steve Jobs actually kind of predicted and I don't want to get into the economics because I really don't understand it, But Steve Jobs did predict this happening. I believe that like that people would stop owning music and likeike that consumers would stop owning music in movies But back at this time you still had to own music and movies and one way is like so and you had to get it from wherever you had it, like you had a CD You had to convert your CD, digitize it or whatever and then put it on your iPod because this was even before I think maybe Tunes started selling songs for a bike or whatever And there was times like my computer wasn't necessarily connect to the interternet or I would just be rushing through And even when I would go visit someone It'd be like like a family member, even my parents would be, how can you ha't converted your CD's like to digital And so I was constantly doing that. And then of course I'd say, well you know, my fee for this is putting it on my iPod Yeah Again, maybe, maybe that's, I don't know. mayaybe that's a technicality you know, that I'm mist mayaybe I'm mistaken in my recounting of that. but u And at some point I had an iPod and I had done this for enough people then it had a pretty diverse selection of music, including a ton of Carol King music And my favorite thing to do was to hit shuffle on my phone or whatever it's iPod and just be surprised because I had like music from when my brother was living in in the Czech Republic and It, you know, stuff like that. So it was really fun in the metadata, and that's really fun. There's this one artist at Pinky. And I don't know if that's really the name of the artist or whatever because I think I tried to clean it up or something Uh, but so uh I really good pop hits by Pinky or whoever Pinky is group is And so but at some point, so I was listening and I think one of the features of this particular iPod was it would keep track of what you listen to And possibly it had a more simple algorithm there in there to say, oh you listened to the descendants or something. So let's play more of that. And I don't know if it like even It dug into another level of genre or anything. But at some point and like I do have trouble sometimes like delineating you know, the meaning meaning of things. I don't want to get into deep stuff here, but like what you know, you know, who what why where are, you know, here and purpose and all that and in spirituality. And sometimes these things happen that are undeniably strange. And I sometimes I interpret that as sometometimes I say yes and sometimes I say no. let's just say that And at some point this iPod whether it was synchronicity, a happy accident or something greater at work the algorithm determined that I adored Carool King music, which is not I do adore Carool King even more as than now learning even more about her And I do really enjoy Carol King music You I enjoy it when it comes on But like I said, I was always shuffling. So it wasn't like, oh boy, I gotta, you know I mean, now when I get done with this, I will say, okay, let me settle in for a little Carol King playlist and see if I could work to it But this time, it was just, I guess I appreciate Carol King and I enjoy her. You I endure I guess like aor this time with this iPod was a too strong word But this algorithm either adored Carol Well at first that's what I thought. I said, Well, it's a glitch. I can live with it If it was someone else, I probably would be like, oh boy Not anothering Bing Crosby holiday song, but this is great a little Carool King action And like as I've said, I'm not a perfect person and I'm definitely like ignorant on many things And I was ignorant at the time that this algorithm was occurring It to Carol Kings' status , like in the world and u So I was at some point I did say, well, this is happening a lot. What if it's not a glitch? What if it's something more U, What if Carol King speaking to me? For some reason, I guess I am like this just shows like I said, what if I said yes to this? Like what if Carol King is like again, I didn't know her status. So I said, what if she's trying to help me or she's trying to reach out to me from the beyond And it really to some people this may sound out I mean, if you don't listen the if you listen the podes you say typical scoots And since then uh is I grown with the podcast, And then if even this is where it becomes better and not worse. It's say wait a second can Carol King is a w like an existing being within our world in I guess I do believe in the power of What's that tuning fork thing called the syympathetic vibrations And I believe that and I do believe this. that Carol Kings's spirit positive energy per evolutionary, you know drive to, you know, whatever you want to call, it's a But let's just use spirit and spirituality in this general sense here. we could all agree to be say, well let's try to be comfortable with it because it's it is tougher to describe in another way Carool Kingings is spiritual energy for positivity and growth and love, I would even say, in adventure is so strong that she continues to in that I when I say yes, u Like she influences me just by shuff and I said, Oh wait, there's a spirit in this machine. Maybe I should listen to all of the shuffling And since then L with in the podcast I' recorded some of these recounted them is like I'll just hit shuffle and then I'll see where things go And it was just the other day I said like I was sitting around and I was kind of feeling listless. I guess is the right word And I guess I am trying to be more mindful and in the moment and this is really part of my personal journey is like to try to at least find two or three spots in the day where I can check in and be in the moment But also maybe just listen, mayaybe it's just to the sounds of the birds or My dog's breathing or and then to see if I could like He Hey Drew, do you need some comforting like or if I'm whing another person to pause or before they come and say,, hey, is a way of me to be service to this person U And also I do when I don't have any of that, I say, well, let me, let me hit shuffle and see what Carol says And so this day, it was a It was a play that funky music came on And they said u like first I just I said, Okaykay, let's get out let's start walk dancing because there's nothing better than nothing that song makes me think more of than walk dancing Even though you're supposed to lay down and buggy at some point. and I said, well, I could do that, but probably not on the sidewalk. And then I was like, who makes Is it Wild Cerry that makes that song? because I was trying not to drink like any SODA And so I said, okay, let's now think about that. And then I was thinking about recently in the Clarks world, which is someone I support on Patreon and is like a likeike a sci fi monthly check it out. It's like an amazing collection of fictional, nonfictional stories and essays and stuff. They also have a podcast But it recently had read something in there about a space funk particularly related to parliament and but say okay, other than parliament, is there other space fund? in this article, had devised that. and then I said, wait a second did it? Someone just like you said that this was a last tour And then I was like, is who was it? Was it booatsy? Was it George And I like I didn't And then I said Holy Carool King, like please don't let me make any presumptions and even You know about anybody's status anymore But I was just walking like I guess I was walking like a funky chicken Is that a song Funk? I think that was a song, but I was actually walking Like a chicken would walk to funk, but me so I think a chicken would more strut, but I was walking funky like a chicken. Yeah, I guess the more descriptive Now like a funky chicken. I wasn't doing the funky chicken As walking like funky chicken And in all the irony doing that instantly is my headphones ringing. in my head was wondering about space fununk. I did a trip right as dayaytripper came on And luckily I made a like I'm I do do that so often that I made a shoulder roll Uh, which I like because I'm just really an expert at it and uh Then I laid on my back and I was looking up at the sky through the trees And then I was actually lay I was laying down and bugging just like the previous song it said. And L' trying to follow dayaytripper, but it's kind of moves fast and it's looking through the trees And it something one way, you know and I was like and that was relaxing because one time I had heard about a meditation or a visualization that you can actually this is actually something participatory or or whatever. where you try to look at it laying your back on the ground, or I guess you could be sitting or standing and you're looking to retreat to the sky. and you try to like look at it long enough and relax and get to a state where you're switching L instead of this you're seeing the sky for the trees and the trees for the sky So that the sky is the solid in the tree is the air and it's just I don't know if it's a thought experiment so much as a I't know, I've tri to do, I don't know if I've ever actually done it Ive spend en a hours trying to And that's like a kind of free way, instant way to try to day trip in my opinion But then at the same time I heard this whirring and whooshing And it was next to an empty field there laying and then I noted I was distracted because I said, wait a second, this is like dog zone, if you know what I mean. And I mean, I was on the sidewalk And so I said, Okaykay, let me sit up and then I got your like and And they said, what is this whooshing and worring And it was the strangest thing because it was Nixing I knew there was a ship landing and it was this was strange. It was neon like neon green and pink Blue. which you think are my Oh and yeah there were some yellow stripes. like those are my favorite neons. I don't know if any like if neon paints and a Dago they also call those Dago Isabos and neon, neon Caud neon Tbe benders ninety nine PI neon And in the side of the ship, it said gve victory And I said, like that song was also playing in my head by Carool King in I ten ten thousand Uh Amy and I see Blake you know you know, ten thousand u You yeah, that b was like a group and, uh They said, that's funny. It's great victory. There's nothing gray about this ship And then I said, A I about to get Fkadaic here? And then just sat there in the field and I said, Okaykay, well, maybe this is the great victory. I've seen the spac shhip And as I was saying, Scoots didn't we have any space related adventure? How did that go And I was trying to remember, I said, I think you had something to do with launching an entire mountain into space is something with a Zo o o Zo ye and They said, what How did that go And I said, o, that's not related to this at all. And I said, I'm pretty sure I said, Carool King was probably the heroine but I was like her assistant, you know, assistant to the heroine which is always good position to be in. And that's where I I said, say yes, Sot. I said Carool King Now may serve the universe. And like the suong came on it was like radiohead and smashing pumpkins But I said, okay, well likeike I said, if there's a guiding principle or whatever, Carool King is guiding me towards this great victory in dayglow colors And I saidos I'd like to touch dayake. I said, was it a good idea to touch a spaceship one that doesn't belong to you? two that just landed presumably from outer space. could have been some sort of u just general flying machine. And so I went up to the ship. I had to walk around and get through the fence to get into the field And by then the steam had cleared this ship it just kind of it didn't sit there in total silence. There was some creaking you know, because of the expansion and contractions with the atmosphere and the changing of temperatures of metals Even a couple nice pops And I said, Well, I wonder about the temperature. And I said, willill this be a matte feelie or a shiny feelield because I don't associate no fence, but I associate d glow colors and matte. and I did put my hand and this one part of the ship and my thumb was on the blue that that Diggalo Ballue My index finger was on you know hot pink or hotter than hot pink My middle finger was touching yellow And then my ring finger was touching green And it was kind of rub it like a Cressing the ship. I mean, yeah, I guess gently caressing the side of the ship, feeling it. And as all things Carol King tend to do. I started to feel that the ship was beautiful and the cure came on. how beautiful you are And I said, holdly I'm, you know, C Carolone, yeah. And I said, you're really nice ship really really like you and I'm just wondering if anybody, you know at some point, I said, if if you have a purpose or you got like one of those gantries to lower, where you want to let me anything me in on anything Probably not the only one that's sensed your arrival And then I said, okay, maybe nothing. I said, Well, I'm here on behalf of Carool King And then just like in every movie mostly. I don't think any arrival this happen, but is youd go up in the bottom of it But like is the steam, you know, went and then the gantry came down And the entrance was, you know, shrouded and mist And I stood there kind of in amazement, but also in a hurry because they said, I like I said we got to get got to get this taken care of before, you know, the u You know, I've seen enough TV shows to know what happens next. just just cover, you know, they're going to cover this thing right up And and then nothing happened other than the steam clearing And I said, okay, I guess I should go up the gantryway because but then I said, okay, but then I had a rival in my head. I said, well, that's I'm not qualified for that kind of communication. Or maybe I am like because I'm not like good at regular communication. And I said, well, downou, I wouldn't I'm not good at interpretation And I said, Scoots Wh down it. This is a beautiful. just go out in there and tell them how beautiful your ship is could be Parliament Pycedeelic together again as, you know, same, you know same band with two names They said, Carol King, wantce you go ahead. You're in the arms of Carol. You're wrapped in her tapestry around your shoulders keeping you safe. And so I walked up the gantryway, I walked into the ship And like it went into like what could only be called a foyer or like I guess in a more modern home as we've talked about in the past a mudroom I said, well, is this a foyer or a mudroom? I said, is that the right term foyer F O Y E R And I said usually if you have a foyer, that's at the front of your house, right? And thiss place really where your stairs end And I said is that the do like this between the two doors You know, I was talking to myself about this, which I find It can need to be disarming or You know it could help me if anybody was observing me. plus I was just wondering. And then I said, I wonder if spaceships have a shoes on or shoes off policy like homes do. because you can see the mud room. that's from the garage into the kitchen. It's an extra place to take your boots off if you live in winter place or a muddy place. or a place where we say Uh like we got to find another room just to sell these fe, you know, say well, this also has a mud room by the way. Will that seal the deal? if I said if I lived in an area that had a like I said, Id probably said, ooh, mudroom Is that like a kind of mud I can get into to realize That would be my mud room Yeah L a room full mud likeike of course temperature controlled U now I'm a room maybe a mud a room made of mud I said I could go for that, but I prefer like it kind of like a hot tub with mud and maybe a couple mud benches that are part, you know, for relaxation Yeah And then then I thought about, okay, and there was a bench there or I said, h c first I sat down on the bench. I said, what a buffoon I can be sometimes. I say this could actually be a being. You it just Santa in the being And unfortunately within Achilles last stand like from W a live version of that started in my headphones. And I said, I better turn the volume down. And actually the bench said it was it was a being. It said, Hey, buddy, What are you doing And they said, Oh, I'm so sorry. And then I didn't know where to look because it did not have a clear U I said, do you like you and again, I thought about nature and stuff do you look a bench in the eyes or not But I was kind of so flamixed that I said L I look to left, I looked to the right. I looked up, to looked down. I was sitting on the floor at this point And he said, Gee, I'm so sorry, like I had my volume t turned up. I just didn't know if is this a shoes on or shoes off spaceship And then they saw the bench began to laugh and it was a bench like a where if you once you calm down for a few seconds, just say Oh just look at the bench straight on and that's proper way to do it in Again When you need it, you can also use this to just switcher tapestry Carol King, not just just a physical and an oral one wrapping you on your shoulders but also winding its way through your ears surg yourial lymphatic system through your circulatory system her music vibrating in the spaces which win your cells and that helped me calm down to the fact I was talking to a bench that I just sat on In is asking it what could be a ridiculous question because the bench was having a chuckle
