So I'm now sitting here getting texts from mutual friends asking if we got back together. and I'm like, what alternate reality is this man living in? I don't know if it's to make me look like I still care or to make him look like he's the loyal one. Who never moved on, but either way, it's weird. Like, dude, we broke up half a year ago. That's from upholding justice Here we go I, a twenty five year old woman recently got married to my twenty five year old husband in Bali, Indonesia in January It was a destination wedding, but my parents and his parents paid for their own plane tickets and hotel. but we paid for our friends plane tickets and hotel stays. Each plane ticket was about two thousand dollars USD, and the hotel was maybe about one hundred fifty to three hundred dollars for a week. My friend Gemma brought along her newly wed husband, John, along but paid for his plane ticket. The problem is that Gemma and John did not show up to my wedding. Gemma took the free plane ticket to Bali and the hotel room. and when I asked her why she didn't show up, she said that since they couldn't afford their own honeymoon, that this was a perfect opportunity and that Jim decided that he didn't feel like going I was really hurt by this since Gemma and I have been friends for over ten years. Would I be the assole if I took her to smallall cllaims court for the money I spent on the plane ticket and hotel? Okay. That feels like a way you could have you could have bargained this could have done the wedding and the honeymoon. Also like a wedding in Indonesia is probably She's already spending this much money for this destination. The writing's probably a bad ass. You're missing out on a party as well.ike Yeah this was just's what I always about this. I'm like, if you're gonna be an asshle, be smart. be smart about it. But also youam have to be an ass. And then you have to pay ten grand to your lawyer. And I should be clear, stealing or abusing twenty hundred dollars is still a problem. not're talking about American relativity. We're talking about how the American court system is a nightmare. Yes. and to get involved in it at all is potential. Already a lot of your time and probably more money. And are you going end up now I don't know like I said, I don't know much about small claims Court, but it's like are you going to end up spending more money getting back? How much are you going to actually get back? Like you're going to lose time on this Is this person worth not only robbing you from your wedding. But now it almost kind of like does it make the narrative of your wedding about them than it really should. Right is kind of where I this is where I would personally be at. S, And that's where I just like now it's a whole thing Yeah part of your life Also, just like a little caveat of that, it's like if we get scammed out of thousand three hundred dollars, we face the exact same thing where it's like, okay I'm going to have to go to claims Court for this and will I also have to pay So that's why I'm like, Well, this person clearly has a little bit more going on than the people in this room. T they go to Judy Justice. Judy Justice. Update. I messaged Gemma her multiple comments, advising me to invoice her for the plane ticket and hotel room, but I did something a little better. I wanted to get proof so if I had to go to court, it would be easier to win. I messaged her this Hey, sorry for being so distant, but I just wanted to talk to you about Bali. I'm hurt that you didn't show up to the ceremony. I pulled a lot of strings to ensure that you could come and then you didn't show up Did you think I paid for the trip just so you could honeymoon with John She replied I've missed you a lot and I know the trip was for your wedding, but John didn't want to go because he felt like your wedding ruined the illusion of the trip being our honeymoon, and that you'd understand, Gemma. You fool You fell right into the trap. Judy's gonna read that. I replied I replied, No, I don't understand. You took advantage of me and that's not what real friends do. So I'm invoicing you two thousand three hundred and eighty seven dollars fifty three cents for the cost of the plane ticket and hotel room. I will give you thirty days and after that, I will be taking legal action I received no response, but she's been posting subliminal quotes on Instagram that are along the lines of entitled friends and having snakes in your life Thank you all for your verdicts and help. Man It's always the people who scam their friends who call people snakes. And you know what? It really is it is. And never p it. I swear at this stage when people post it on Facebook being like you never trust the right people. I'm like, you're the're the bad gu. You're the problem. Nine times out of ten, you're probably the bad guy. Yeah. and there's therapists out there going I'm so sorry for You' it's them, they're the problem. And then they come back with the like I'm setting up a boundary and I'm like, you're horrible. It's like, don't I don't know. Oh God. Gemma is so it's that thing where it's like they're so atrocious, they come back to being entertaining And like from so afar I'm entertained by Gemma. Oh yeah. awwful person. I hope I'm now really like I was't right when I was like, your honor, the vi wasn't right. Literally was like, hey, the vibe wasn't right. not up. I'm so sorry, I couldn't go, but it would ruin the illusion. You understand, right? You get it. You get it. Yeah. P Update number two Oh, we gotta get to Judy justustice. All right, come on. That's amazing to hear fell right into the trap to. She listed out the exact price in that invoice. real so smart. Up update number two, I didn't think this could get worse, but here we are. Oh boy. Oh boy Gemma cannot win. If Gemma wins, I'm walking out of. I will be mad No, Gemma Look, it's only fun if they don't win. one hundred percent. L Abbiley Miller's amazing because she loses so badly, I feel like. Karma got her ass. Like it really did. It it. it. I didn't respond to any of the subliminal messages she posted about me on social media and I've been very quiet while I've been getting my ducks in a row for the litigation. But this past Friday, she sent me a three page audit of financial and emotional contributions from twenty fifteen to the present. Oh J both have time. Gemma Gemma's a demon, dude Oh no. Gemin needs a job. I wish I was fucking joking. The audits. She itemized every dinner or lunch we've ever ate together. She estimated eighteen dollars per meal, gas money for driving to and from hangouts. A birthday gift from twenty seventeen that she now claims she went into debt for. Time spent emotionally supporting me after my dad passed. She said she took on the role of a grief counselor for me, even though I talked to her on the phone about it once for thirty minutes One time she helped me move apartments, she wants to be paid for her labor, and emotional distress caused by me threatening litigation The emotional distress caused by me threatening litigation? Oh my God Hey, you asked for money and that's really hard for me Her grand total two thousand four hundred and twelve dollars nine cents, whichich is conveniently within twenty five dollars of what I invoiced her. She then told me that if we're really keeping score that I actually owe her twenty four dollars fifty six cents. Okay And this is one of what we're talking about with the I'm in awe of I w fascinated deep in their shit. This is when someone pulls a triple axle in Winter Olympics and you're like, How do they do that? How didd you do that? How'd you figure out? How that? How figure that out I think I stared at the document for ten minutes in silence in shock from the audacity because this bitch is delusional. To clarify, I never asked her to cook for me. While I was in college, she did pay for lunches, but when I definitely returned the favor Big time once I graduated, I bought her many gifts over the years. I've let her stay at my house several times when she and John argued. and I have also lended a shoulder for her to cry on when she had difficult times in life. But apparently being a friend is now billable, I decided to give the message a thumbs down because if I respond, I will be extremely disrespectful with the anger I am facing. I cannot wait for these thirty days to be over because I will be suing out of her Okay. As of recording, no other updates at this time.
