What We Learned From Jon Favreau's Mando and Grogu Commentary - Last Week In Star Wars — Jun 20, 2026 — starts at 0:00
Fabreu said that there was a conscious effort for Ibo not to see Den's face. I feel like Ibo would know. He's like, I gota get out of here. Like ellf Running out of the room And we don't know like anything about them. I was gonna say whereere's their base? We don't know. Is a species? We don't know. L we don't know Tell me hardly anything aboutplain it to.roid. I'm trying, but Lucas Fil won't tell us more about the Chrimora syndicate. What's up everyone, and welcome to Last Week and Star Wars. I'm Alex. I'm Molly. And this week we're going to talk about John Fabreau's Mandalorian and Grogu commentary. There's going be a screening of the first episode of the Ninth Jedi series at Anime Expo. We talk about why we love the line Big pipe, huh so much? A Big pipe, huh? Whether or not Grogu wears pants. And a lot more, so let's just dive into last week's news. laughing placelace put out a summary of John Favreau's audio commentary that you can go listen to with the app Theater ears. We have not made it back out to see that or listen to it. but I figured we would just run through some of the bullet points that we found interesting. Do you find this whole idea intriguing at all, though the commentary for being in the theatre? Yes As long as the commentary comes on physical release or on Disney pllus. I know this isn't just a Mando and Grogu thing. Project Hail Mary did it there. I did look at the app and there are several movies you can go see with this. It's an interesting idea. I'm not crazy about people going in and then popping in AirPods and having their phones out and all like it does seem like look, things are already dicey at movie theaters. We've had far more bad experiences the past few years and we've had great ones. So I'm like, I would hope that anyone that did this would still be respectful, but I'm like, I'm already on edge at a theater waiting for someone to be a jerk and this is like potentially encouraging more of that behavior. Yeah. I'm just like not a huge fan of this idea for people that might have bought the physical copy to listen to the commentary now won't do it because they can get it on this app. Well, the way the app works because I actually was going to try to Just listen to it you have to like go to the theater and it knows whether you're at the theater or close to it or not. You can't just sit at home and listen to it. So you don't like that. I want to listen to it at home. But like you said, I hope it's on Disney plus and the physical release. But yeah, having people with their phones out in the theater Maybe if they did like a specific showing, like just just play the movie in the theater with the commentary. Again, I'm like it does feel like just in general, the movie industry floundering and be like What can we do to get repeat viewings? Oh people really liked when we had DVD extras. Let's put DVD extras in the theater instead of just like giving us back DVD extras. And you know there's going to be somebody old in the theater that's just playing it on their phone, not with airbuds.. Yep I hadn't even considered that, but yes, you are right. Someone is and not even an old person. L I bet just someone's gonna do that. Yeah, they'll be like, we're all here to listen to the commentary, right? Let's just all play it at the same time. pick up your phone and chuck it at the emergency exit. We've just had so many like less fortunate experiences at the theater since after COVID, people just no manners anymore in theaters. I think a whole gener we're going on a rant that was not intended to be but I think like a generation of moovie fans have been raised by reactors online and I think they go and think Oh everyone wants to hear Every I have to say. Hate that about everything that happens on screen. Hate it. Can't stand it. I did read the It was obvious that They recorded this commentary after the movie had already been released, which I think is interesting. R I'm like Is this just like a last stitch effort? flounder of being like, uh I don't think the commentary. I'm sure they planned on doing it. It's just like the scheduling. when it happened, like maybe Favreau wanted to I don't know how he makes it clear that the movie's been out already Just knowing that this is something that's been done for other movies already I don't think it was a last stitch thing. I think it's more of a last stitch effort on movie chains and just all around the movie industry trying to get people to go to the movies more. I mean, it makes sense, I guess if he waited to see what kinds of questions fans had that he could potentially answer in the commentary, but I don't know, this just isn' this isn't for me, whichm is why I'm glad we could read a synopsis of it. Yeah. so thank you Mike from who's the Bosk podcast who runs laughing Place.ll I'll link down in the description if you want to see all of the bullet points, but I wrote down a couple that I found fun like the fact that the droid Gaotra was originally from the cancellled video game thirteen thirteen. I think I knew the Cryim Mora syndicate was going to be in that game But then the droid Gautra has been said to be muscle for Crimora. so that makes sense. What is Crimora again? They're one of the five main syndicates that are They're not called by name in solo, but when Dryden Voss says the five syyndicates, Crimora is one of them. And we don't know like anything about them. I was say whereere's their base? We don't know Is it a species? We don't know. L we don't know Tell me hardly anything aboutplain it to.roid. I'm trying, but Lucas Fil won't tell us more about the crrimora syndicate And theyve developed them for thirteen, thirteen and they've been mentioned several times we just have very little to go off of. One of those maybe like we're keeping it in our back pocket for now kind of thing Yeah. It's just they've been keeping it in their back pocket for a long time. I liked that he talked about the shot where Grogu climbs a pipe, said that was all practical and the puppeteers were all on ladders to do that. Man, every shot that I see of the puppeteers actually doing the puppeteering onset I just smile. Th I recall that shot And it makes me smile every time I've seen it. just him Like you can tell that's a puppet trying to climb a pipe. and I'm like, that's so charming. Yeah. I love it. It is. Favreaux said that Dave Faloni was one of the second unit directors and he handled most of the puppet work. Directing the puppeteers, I guess th Yeah. So Dave and Pete Ramseay We're second unit directors. so That means they go off and they get shots of environments or it's like the less acting heavy stuff. That's why Favrero was more focused on the actors and the story and the plot But if you ever just need random shots of a speeder going by or something, that's usually second unit. Maybe that's good experience for Dave Yeah. sureure it is. likeike I do like that they continue to work together and if Dave's New Republic movie happens then this is just more experience for him. but I also wonder if like his work in animation translates into puppetry or I don't know. I'm curious why he was given a lot of the puppet work, but I thought it was cool. I would want to direct the puppets.. So that makes sense to me I'll do it. John made Pete and Dave fist fight to see who got to direct Grogu. They had to arm wrestle. Yeah. This one's for you. Grogu and Rada in the ocean was the first thing they shot for the movie Thank Was that like a real shot that then they just added CG over it I've would guess so I think that's what I read Yeah, so I just assumed they shot a bit of the ocean and those were the plates that they just inserted little digital grogu and big digital rata into. I love that shot so much. Now I'm thinking of Jeremy Allen White in the recording booth like giggling Be you just laugh and giggle a little bit in that sequ I thought you were gonna say that they filmed Jeremy Allen White in like one of those gray and black suits just like floppping around on the beach. I going full Gllum in the water. And then Dave Faloni provided the reference for Grogu and he's like running away screaming. That reminds me of like Benedict Cumberbatch when he played Smg and the Hobbit movies is like the performance capture that they got. Oh yeah. We need Roda to come back and we need Jeremy Allen White in a suit balls all over it He's like doing the work. Sithering around like a hut Imbo's first appearance on Navarro at the Spaceport was Edgar Wright's suggestion I thought that was interesting because love Edgar Wright's movies, and he's a big Star Wars fan. so he got to see an early cut and thought that it would be good to just hint that someone was on Denen Grogu's trail and Rana's trail. so There's like a shot of them at the spaceport and then you see Ebo just step into frame. That's cool. that that was that they took his suggested. and it makes sense. Yeah, I like hearing when directors show their friends or other directors their movies and then just hearing about the suggestions they have. so Babu Fick being alive at the end of the Rise of Skywaler was Stehven Spielberg asking JJ. Abrams, What happened to Babu Frick? I like to think that when Steven Spielberg saw A cut of the rise of Skywalker, where Babu Frick presumably died. he grabbed JJ Abrams by the shirt and shook him like, Where's Babu Frick? What happened to him? It' the best part of the movie and he died. But back to Mando and Grogu, but still on Anzelans, their spepeeder sound was inspired by the Jetsons Oh yeah Like they have that tiny little speeder and I do think I remembered like that sound is familiar to me, but I couldn't place why I have to go back and listen to it again because I don't remember what it sounded like, but I vaguely remembember that I didn't really watch the Jetsons a whole lot. It's more of like a high pitched wish I could just make the noise, but it's higher pitched because it's such a tiny little speeder. Is it like whirring kind of? Yeah, that's pretty good. Yeah. I'm impressed. Hire me. The big pipeuh line was Adlib by Shirley Henderson. A big pipe hu? I'm gonna make that. You get one of these I don't know why We latched onto that, but like we were just on vacation with friends out in Portland and we could not stop saying that. It's the funniest line in the entire movie And I don't know if it was meant to be that, obviously, not if it was ad libed, but I would love to have been in the room when She ad lied that. So yeah, I guess at that point like the movie was cut and she was probably in the studio. watching it and doing voiceover for like the Anzelans climbing up in like just little kind of things, but then they get to the pipe and it was pulling back and she probably just said that. Yeah, it feels like a great place for a funny line. because you've got the long pull back and you know the characters are like, Oh man, then we gott to crawl through this pipe. Yeah. You need something to break that up. Yeah, it's so good. Like what a wonderful gift that was. I find myself just wandering around the house. Anytime Hilo is barking or scared of like thunder or Pippin is looking scared of the storms or something, I just fall into like it's okay. Don't be scared. Don't be scared. Big stretch, huh This is a question I saw a lot of people asking, but Favreau said that there was a conscious effort for Ebo not to see Den's face A lot of people were like, does Den now have to go kill Ebo? No, he wasn't in the room. That is what I thought like the Hutts pay him and you see him walk away. You don't see him go out the door I don't think they made it clear that Embo wasn't in the room, but I just assumed he was not going to now be hunted down by Den I guess I'm glad that he made that distinction because we got that question a lot. After seeing the show and like when Finneix Shan shows up, like Mando is very familiar with the rest of like the bounty hunters and the other way around So I feel like Ibo would know He's like, I got to get out of here. Like ellf rununning out of the room I mean, it's Babro. You should have had that.ight Yeah, I just think that both of them have been around for long enough and been in the bounty hunting business for long enough that I feel like Ibo would know that bit of information. I agree. just If someone pulls his helmet off, don't look at him. Now I'm thinking like, what if there were a bunch of innocent people in that room? Right and is it just the responsibility of whoever pulls the helmet off so like In that case it would be a droid, but the droid was hired by the Hutts. So like ye, what if was truly responsible here and What if Roda were awake when He had his helmet removed. Yeah he's like, oh no, Mando like sorry, Rada, now I have to shoot you. Well, Den' just He gets to make an exception whenever he wants. Right. That's why the helmet I don't wantan to go on that rant again. What if there were like a bunch of a school of tiny hutlets in there And they werere all like, Oh when They see Din's face. I'm sure he would have not pulled an anakin, but at the end of the movie, when the New Republic comes to save them and Zeb says, hop in. Fabrer was excited about that because it meant he didn't actually have to show all of their characters struggling to get in the ewing. I did think that was funny. It sounds like a funny thing for like a director of a movie to be like, oh, Phew, I don't have to like go into why or how we did this thing. I was thinking like, wouldn't that have been a good moment for another comedic moment of like them lowering down one of those nets and then like Rada get it trying to get in it and they're like helping Rada in it and they like to have to pull him back. like cutting to Den and Grogu, like trying to shove Rada up into the ewing. I'm sure they had Grogu use the force to float him up. Either that or Zeb could have just landed a little bit in the water. He could have slid it in. But like that that is very Star Wars to me. We always laugh and The Mandalorian season one Gian comes down in this epic moment with his tie fighter and it lands and he comes out of the top And then we cut away and we cut back and he's on the ground walking. and I'm always like What did that look like? where he put one foot out and then another one and was like holding ono the lip and then had to be like slide down this eyeball cockpit. and I'm sure he landed so gracefully 'ed himself off. He's like, o man, I forgot my ladder. Yeah. And there's like a bunch of stormtroopers down there like spotting him I got you, buddy. He falls on a death trooper and he just makes that garbled like voice like that the kind of thing that Star Wars just wants things to look cool. and I'm sure there are moments where It wouldn't look cool. so let's just not show that And that feels like something that you know, what could be in sppaceballs or like any other Star Wars parody would be perfect place to show something like that or like Vader getting his armor on and off to go to the back to tank. What does that look like We've seen it, come on. They did that Nobi one Kenobiia. It was kind of cool. I guess that's true. I'm just picturing Venet like trying to help him and he's like, I don't need help. Venet no. I could do it myself. I'm independent I can take a bath by myself. My lord, it's time for your sponge bath. And The final note that we have is that John Fabreau did not explain how the Razor crerest got back to Adelphi from Navarro, which that was definitely something I was like, o, maybe he'll answer this because a lot of people have been asking that too. But no It's just there. No answer for that. Someone went and got it. We can handwade that away. Colonel Ward told someone that wasn't going to go fly an X wing like please go get his ship, bring it back here Yeah. Today's episode is brought to you by Surfshark. So the only other thing I wanted to talk about is this is news that's been out for a little bit, but we haven't actually discussed it At Anime Expo on july second, the first episode of Ninth Jedi will be shown. I thought we would just talk about that, maybe speculate on if that means The series is coming out soon I assume so like They're going show the first episode, I don't know if people are going to be like that worried about spoilers for this kind of show, but originally I think they did say it would be out in the summertime. so. sometime in July, maybe late July. Yeah, I'm thinking along the same lines of People are going to be somewhat worried about spoilers, I'm sure. And so they're not going to put this episode out Way way ahead of when it actually premieres My initial guess was like September just because that was halfway in between May and January assuming Ahsoka assuming early twenty twenty seven for Ahsoka means January than the halfway point would be in September or so. Yeah. But yeah, I think before that now I need to rewatch the other episodes that part of this ninth Jedi you're going to be sad about Teto again. Yeah, I am mad about that and I I'm like I wonder if they're going to address that at all. The little robot in the most recent episode of the Ninth Jedi Sga Yeah, I did think that the second episode in volume three It was done by a different director And it just felt like a bit of a side mission, like a detour And it was a cool story Yeah. They killed that little robot and I was really mad about it But to me, it seemed plot wise like it was just kind of treading water. And I think they wanted to put something ninth Jedi out. to promote the series was on the way Yeah, but The first episode in volume one, I thought was fantastic, so I'm so glad they're doing a series of this. The original director was handling like the series. and probably why he didn't do the second episode. I'm excited to find out more. I wish we could go to Anime Expo and see it. I'm excited for something that's just going to be so completely different for an entire series I don't know. after seeing that in Visions Volume one, I'm like, okay, this has legs. Let's see what they do We don't know how many episodes it'll be yet, but do you think that they'll drop them all at once like they have been doing for Visions? or do you think this will be kind of a weekly release? Yeah, my guess is all at once because it's a visions thing I, you know, I'm always for doing a weekly release, but this is making me think It's more of like a talales of or a visions They're just going to go Here it all is, I guess it would be nice if there were nine episodes for the Ninth Jedi, but who knows? Or they could surprise us and do like two or three episodes at a time and do like a couple of weeks. That's true. Release reallyally, I think it depends on these episodes are formatted story wise and how long they want this to be like talked about Right? And we haven't heard much about it So I'm not expecting a huge big push behind it even though I'm excited for it. Yeah. I'm excited for it. I'm excited for Is it IG Production IG. Yeah. Production IG. I'm excited for them Everyone that worked on it I'm excited for it to be out in the world. That's it for last weekend News. There wasn't anything new to talk about in last week in Canon, no comics or anything, But I did want to shout out that we got an advanced copy of the art of Andor by Feel showstack. I'm really excited to dive into this. I haven't had the chance to yet. I'm currently reading Star Wars Legacy which comes out next month too, but I am really excited to see this is a thick t of book. It's heavy. It says complete series, so it's it's both seasons one and two. Oh, I like that a lot. I mean, I surely would have taken two full books about all of it, but I'm glad to just have it all out there. And I think it'll be interesting to read kind of the differences between making seasons one and two. All the art of books are so done and put together and providees so much insight as to like the timeline and the production and everything going into making shows. And it's always cool to see ideas that were thrown out that were left on the floor. I remember there was some concept art of Cassian and an A wing at one point that we never saw that in the show. so I'm hoping that's in here somewhere and they'll explain what was going to happen. there were ideas for like a K two SO Terminator style episodes, so maybe there'll be art from that. Yeah, like we know unused concept art doesn't stay unused all the time. you know, they like to go back and look through stuff that didn't get used before and maybe use it in another project. These books are are awesome to have on hand. they come in handy for like behind the scenes stuff especially concept art stuff. So yeah, I'm excited to read it. And The Forwards by Tony Gil Roy Our buddy Moving on to last week in Fandom, I wanted to show off something from Alliance Authentic. They make really high quality collectible level vinyl records and they sent us this one from the Mandalorian season one It's got a Japanese cover, which they've done for Mandalorian seasons one, two and three They've also got a revenge of the Sith vinyl out right now and I think they're working on more. But this is great. We have a very fledgling vinyl collection that's mostly made up of Lady Gaga and Motion City soundtrack. We don't have a super high quality record player or anything, but onnce we got one It it's fun to just kind of kind of collect records now. Yeah records of things that we specifically like a lot and want to just listen to from start to finish. Yeah, whichich I feel like is a lost art I'm I'm bad. at listening to new music, just like new albums start to finish. I have to like make myself do it. do it fairly often like for new for artists that I regularly listen to But usually it's just like a one and done and I'll listen from start to finish and then I don't ever really go back and listen to the whole album, but these are an exception. Last week, we mentioned we were doing a giveaway of a bunch of Mandalorine and Grogu stuff and we have a giveaway winner. It's Stehven Mann. Thank you, Stepven, for entering, congratulations. I'm gonna email you and get your information so I can get that over to you ASA. Moving on to last week in Qions, We took a couple from YouTube and our Patreon, and King Marth asks if we think Mando and Grogu's box office performance will discourage any sequels or smaller Star Wars movies in the future. I hate to say it, but Probably. Yeah, I'm kind of on the fence on this because I still think Mando and Grogu was kind of an anomaly. Like I think they just wanted to kind of get any movie out And also I still think there was that ulterior motive of taking away pressure from Starfighter which is by all accounts a one off standalone movie that they say, you know could have sequels if it does well, but who knows I do think that Kathleen Kennedy said in an interview when she was like stepping down as president that it does sound like they're really planning on bigger. movies moving forward I mean, if they want the big blockbuster movies making the big bucks, then yeah, you're going to have to make it bigigger story with bigger stakes and make it just generally a bigger deal I do wish that that didn't mean we couldn't get smaller scale stories and like lower budget movies we talked last week about lower budget like horror films doing so well. so I don't know, the indie film lover in me wants them to like expand the smaller scale stories of Star Wars, but I don't think Disney wants that. Yeah, it's been such a weird thing all throughout. Disney's ownership where they trying everything as a movie. and then it was like now let's try everything as a streaming series and I still always feel like the books are kind of getting the shaft as someone who grew up with the books and loves them I was so happy to see the High Republic, but it's like I do think that they could tell their biggest stories on the big screen and then like take a step down for smaller stories on the small screen, but still save some room for the books to tell significant stories about the major characters too. Yeah, as much as I like some of the D Palononey stuff I wish You know, it makes me miss George because he was like a filmmaker first and foremost. He just didn't really fit the mold that I'm sure Disney like wanted to pursue That for sure. L he was always pushing back against the studios like from THX one one thirty eight beyond. And I'm like, will we ever have someone in charge of Star Wars like that again? With Disney at the hell. I mean, like Disney is in charge of Star Wars now so No, I mean, yeah, this this builds off nicely of our talk last week about just B Hollywood studios being so risk averse Yeah and George Lucas was constantly taking risks. But yeah, I just hope that they've kind of taken this seven year gap this time off to really figure out what they want to do with the movies and then Execute. on that and let like Disney let them takeake the time and don't like mandate release dates. Yeah I've said this before, but I just feel like Disney is spread so thin over all of its several different IPs that it's trying to churn bangers out of, you know, like I just feel like it's spread so thin that is anything They're in charge of making really being like an actual blockbuster movie if those even exist anymore. I think we're kind of at a point where the big blockbusters are going to be something that's completely unexpected. It's like we were just watching a great video from our friend Patrick Williams, who was talking about all the slop that like the streamers put out, the straight to streaming movies and how the things that take off are neverever the things they obviously think are going to like K pop, demon hunters Hollywood is always trying to like audiences want and they they want to be surprised, I think and they don't want the I think there's some people that we sit in that comfort for a while. like when the MCU was new and novel I think they got away with some stinkers just because the whole MCU idea was fun and exciting then after time, people were like, okay, we're tired of this And yeah, we need to break the mold. We need something to shake things up. Yeah I guess Part of me doesn't even really consider the Mandalorian and Grogu movie A one off That's true. It's part of this huge universe that they've been building for years and I don't know. I like the idea that We have the streaming shows and then every once in a while we get a big movie from those shows So I don't know if it's cost effective for them to do that or not, but I feel like that's comfortable model. Yeah, I thought it made a lot of sense to be like we did these streaming shows and then we're gonna cap it all off and like kind of bring them all together in an epic big screen conclusion. I thought that sounded smart And then a few months later they were like, and also, we're doing Mando and Grogu. And it was like, huh H? Cindy Kay asks what new clothes we would give to Grogu if he wanted something besides a Burlap sack I got this question just for you. Maybe like a Valore tracksuit It just says Grogu across the butt That was not what I was expecting at all. I don't know what I was expecting, but matching trackuits for Mando and Grogoo. I mean, it's kind of like we said, We wish there was a scene of them just relaxing and hanging out at home. Oh yeah, I want to see what their PJs look like. Yeah. Mando is not sleeping in that armor. Or is he? Yeah, does he take off the armor and put on a snuggie to go to sleep but still leaves the helmet everything but the helmet. U. I mean, like I was gonna somewhat serious answer, say like a full set of tiny armor. I wonder if we're going to build up to that at some point, but Who knows? At least Yeah. like we know he can he can really move and groove but if he wants to. he can shuffle along. What if stands on a event like Marilyn Monroe? just to keep his little burlap sack down I mean, actually he might have some kind of pant on under it. We don't know something that allows him a little more agility maybe as he grows a little tiny bit bigger. The movie showed us he can like break into places. so yeah, get him a little leather cat suit So he can he's just a full on cat burglar Like in Oceans eleven like the low neck at Sure. I hope they never give him shoes. That seems yeah, it doesn't seem like his species enjoys shoes I wouldn't want shoes for him. I want to see them featets. Little green hobbits. I want to see these little featets. His little toes? Little toes. But what did yoda wear He always just were like Ibe he's a tiny jedi robees Jedi roes Yeah Did he have pants on? Yes. Yes. We've seen his pants. I just I didn't know if it was like a full length robe robe. Now we've seen him in pants. Okay Eventually maybe Groby will get pants. He's got to grow just a little bit more Dan Anderson asks if we think Flynn Gry's character in Starfighter will be force sensitive. So that's the younger b I'm going to say no I'm going to go with the yes I'm just like, if it's not connecting to the larger universe, I don't really care if he's force sensitive or not. I guess I don't really have much of an opinion, but if I were to lean one way or the other I would say not force sensitive. I think he is, but I would prefer that he not be just because that would feel too saamey to the Mandalorian where Got this guy who has to protect a force sensitive kid and get him from point A to point B. like Yeah It's just a very familiar setup at this point. It's so overdone. We've seen it in multiple franchises. We've seen it a lot in Star Wars. Yeah And it's not, I mean, like Omega kind of jury still out on whether or not she was force sensitive or how strong in the force she was, but yeah, it's like, The bad batch saving this special child and in saving a special child and Joel and the last of us saving a special child. It's just it's been A lot. Dunk' Egg, tall man hanging out with a special child. He doesn't have to save the special child, but it is a well worn at this point. We know Amy Adams is in it. I think we know She's playing his mother Do we know that? I don't well, maybe not, but there are like rumors swirling around. If that is the case Maybe she could be for sensitive and maybe there's like a dynam a weird dynamic there that if the kid isn't The kids like, why why not me? See that would be interesting that perks me up. It even makes me think of the Disney Channel original movie where it was like, I don't remember what it was called It was a family of superheroes and there was one kid who didn't get superpowers and it was, yeah. Why not me? am I still good enough like this kind of thing? I think that would be very interesting if whoever the bad guys are just assume he's force sensitive because his mother was and they're trying to chase this kid down. and he's like, I don't even have powers. Lave me alone. You know, Ryan Gosling's character could be the one that is actually force sensitive, but that feels kind of samey to skeleton crew Secret force sensitive characters. well he gave that away pretty early, but it also makes me think of like Bode in the Jedi games. Yeah I do feel like there's got to be a reason why the villains who I assume Our dark side Force users We don't know that, but If the villains are darkide force users, they have to have a reason to not like the protagonists They're just mean. They're just mean. Bullies, all of them. Ello Aasti asks if we'll be waiting until Star Wars celebration to visit the Lucas Museum We'll see what happens. towards When does it open September I would love to take a out there specifically to go around the opening, but I don't know if it's going to be in the cards or not. Right. That's how I'm feeling too is we'll just kind of see when it gets here because celebration is always a crazy busy time for us. so that would obviously be more convenient for us for flights and hotels and all that. but time wise, it's already a crunch. so We'll see. I do worry about how busy it's going to be like right around the grand opening. I think it'll be busy at both times. Yeah. I think we're like in the double digits now. They just posted a day or two ago that it was like a hundred days until the opening We know so many people that live in LA that I'm sure are going to try to go opening weekend that I would love to go with Yeah and experience that place, you know with our friends out there. but We'll keep you guys updated. Ammet Zohar asks who's another book only Gp shido we'd like to see get the Cbvanth treatment Geode We've said this before, but he could be in any of these mo. He could be anywhere. Any rock might actually be Geode. H. I'm gonna go with Eli Vanto because that's a character that I'm like There's a chance he was friends with Thraon when they were coming up together in the Imperial Academy And then Thron sent him off to the chess ascendancy So he's been away from the empire for a while. There's a chance that with Thrwn coming back in live action Mbe some other chiss would pop up and maybe they would have E Lve V answer around. Along I have another idea, but along those lines, I want to say any other chess Admiral Arlani would be incredible. loveove her. Yeah Thron is great, he's a great villain way more interesting than most of the other villains, but he's got this like special thing that isn't that special if you know about the books in the comics, you know, like Yeah, when you're he's the only chis character you know, he stands out. but when you read all of the the chis ascendancy trilogy and all that. And if you knew more about his history with the Chis ascendancy and like his motivations and like wanting to potentially get back there It makes it way more interesting and it makes me curious about like how they would do other chis characters. Yeah, Thron kind of gives off the vibe that all chisss are exactly like him and that's not the case Yeah when you've read the books and stuff. So it would be cool to have someone compare and contrast him to. I don't know if we would get somethinghing like this in live action in this particular time period, but Any of the other handmaidens? Sabe would be Wild. I mean, she's chnically a movie, Gub shadow also, but she has been far more fleshed out in the books and comics. Right. And obviously like you could just get Kira Kightley or Natalie Portman to play her. But like any of the other ones that then in the stories in the books and comics would be Mary on Ru Well, I mean, anyone from the High Republic would be wonderful to see. I just love him as a villain. It's I should point out that we're naming actual not glp shadow characters when it comes to the books and comics, but If they were to come into live action, most people wouldn't know who they are. so I guess that's My thinking here. Okay. But yeah, Cobvanth was more of a glub shadow even in the aftermath books Yeah, I'm I'm at this point happy when any publishing character makes the jump to live action or anything else Chure of the hut. Your favorite stop Gop. Yeah. of the High Republic maybe one of Aain, not a glp, super important. Love him to death And he's a hutt so he can live a long time. I guess he did get one Is is he the main character of one of the books Yes I would say he's a primary character of mayaybe not the main character, but he is significant and beware of the nameless. And but that's a young reader Yes. So again, he's not super well known I'm sure within context of Star Wars, most people would consider him a Gub shidow, but to me, he's main character energy. I mean, so similar to Rada, the way that we're seeing Rada's character to escape from the family business and not a criminal. But Churro did it first and he did it with fewer muscles He did it with a big brain a big strong brain and his bugs and plants. Yeah, he's a really cute kid. I love Jerro But that's it for last week in Star Wars.
