Hello and welcome to the Task Master Podcast. It's me, a Gamble host of the Task Master Podcast. And today it's a bit of sweet day. We'll be talking about episode ten that is the final episode of Sies twenty one and we will of course be talking to the winner of Sies twenty one Now, if you don't know who that is, that means you've come too far on your podcast journey. You need to go and watch Taskmaster episode ten on channel four d. com etceta But very excitingly, we will be speaking to the winner. If you don't know who that is, turn off. you this is your chance three to one. Okay, if you're still with me, you will know that Joanna Page is the winner of Taskmaster Series twenty one What a competitor always surprising that she was in the lead because brilliant at the tasks but never fully seemed like she knew that she was brilliant in the task or what she was doing in some of them. But I think some people are just hilariously chaotic and also incredibly competent. and that's what we got with Joanna Page. So we are going to be speaking to Joanna Page in this episode. is another brilliant interview. She really is just fantastic company. So let's get on with it. This is Tuskmaster Series twenty one, the final episode, as discussed by Joanna Page Welcome back, Joanna to the Tasks Master podcast, or should I call you the champion of Series twenty one. Oh, I tell you what Absolutely bloody, brilliant, it felt fantastic. think you can just see on my face. Well the fact actually that I'm riding Greg's head around the stage at the end was beside myself. So so excited. I didn't think I'd won. but when it's just me and Armando together, I thought it was going be close between me Armando and Amy. And I was surprised when she then went out first, I was like, o my go because I kind of let it go by the end because I thought, oh god, it's all over the place and you keep your eye on what the scores are, But it does get to a point when you think, I don't have a clue what's going on now, and I'm going to let it go. Alex is very sneaky He only gives series updates now and again. Yes. So you sort of don't know where you are. You don't know. and I didn't have a clue. and I knew I'd started out pretty good, but then I was starting to taper off a bit I ended up being not very good at the live tasks And so I was kind of a bit like, oh, you started out good and you've sh in some of them, but there's quite a few that you haven't. You've taken quite a few one pointers. So I was a bit like, oh, I don't know. And then when it got to me in Armando, it was hilarious because we're clinging each other. And he was saying to me, you need this, you're young, you need to fly. And I was going, but you're Armando, A a new cheese And then when they said him and we were all cheering and then when they said me, I felt a bit like Russell Crow and Gladiator or Mel Gibson in Braveheart. you know, like standing up at the end and I did like my pose that you know like my power stance And you can I think you can see in my face, I'm so raw I could have fought someone. I haveought I probably could have fought the Taskmaster. I'm so raw and it's so like I've done it.. And then I ride Greg's head and then I just remember I just thought I've got to get on the chairs. I've got to get on the chairs. and I was wearing platform boots and I didn't care. If I'd have fallen, I would have just thrown myself and they would have caught me What's gorgeous is that everybody was just all cutched around me making sure I didn't. And I just do this warrior scream at the end. Oh my God. I think you can see' ten weeks worth of emotion from all of us and just like, oh my go, the end of just an amazing job. And you know, I've hidden Greg's head for a year. Have you came home right afterwards and I was hiding Greg's head in my suitcase and I walked in through the door. My kids weren't there, but my husband was and I wasn't going to tell him. And ind, I thought I gotta tell someone. I got to tell someone. And so I told James, my husband, showed him Greg's head and we were like And then I went upstairs and I wrapped it in towels, hid it at the top of the wardrobe behind a load of dresses. And then my daughter and the kids came in from school and she was like, haveave you won, my, haveave you w? I said, I'm not going to tell you anything at all because I don't want to spoil it for you. She said, I'm searching the house. She went out into the garage, searched all around the garage, try and find the trophy. Th she came in and she was searching the house and she went into the wardrobe And as soon as she went in, I was a bit like you know, take it easy, don't panic, don't panic. And she looked around and went to look up into anrsenot and Hugh and walked out. I've hidden that bloody head for a year. Really? Because we're obviously recording this before the episode goes out. Yes. So your kids don't know. They don't know. My children don't know. They don't know. I can't believe, right? because I'm kind of good at keeping secrets. If it's a big one, I'll keep it right. but most of the time I cannot help it and I need to tell someone. And so but they don't know. Yeah. I such a moment when you're watching it with them. It's gonna to be huge. I'm gonna try and secretly film them because I can't wait to see what they're gonna to be like. And then the head's gonna come out and it's gonna go in the little window cell right by the front door, so everybody comes and goes just getes to see it Amazing Well, you are a very worthy champion, Johanor. I think you've been brilliant all series. Do you have any highlights rom the series as a whole because obviously the last time we spoke on this podcast was episode three. So there's a lot that's happened in between. We're going to be talking about episode ten, but do you have anything that stands out to you? Yeah, do you know what I loved? It was the very first episode and it was the task that I was just really, really scared about. It's weird, right? because I'm an actress. So you'd think that any creative sort of things ing, writing a sketch, making a song, you know, or doing something creative, I'd find easy. But those were the ones I was scared about. I thought, if you give me something a puzzle or I've got to work something out or, just put me in the lab, I'll be fine. Do not put me in a scary room because I'm going to be scared about that. Scary rooom for those of you didn't listen to episodes Ro is It's just the living room. It' the living room with Greg's portrait behind you. No one else would think that is the scary room. They'd say the lab, they'd say the caravan. Yeah But yeah, that is the scary room because oh my God, you remember the episode where I go in and I think wasas it for this one or it might have been for something later, but when I went in and there was the lion's head Yeah and I go in and as I walk into the room you can see that I'm feeling edgy because there was never anything good which came from that room. And I go and I sit down and I go, Oh you know and I look at the head. and as I lean forward and I'm saying, o this room you always do something scary to me in here And as I say that, I'm leaning forward. And you know how things like sort of appear in front of your eyes? I thought, oh my Godd, there's a big set of teeth, but inside there, there's another set of teeth and it's a man's teeth. and with that the head lurched forward. and this lion, o my Godd, it was horrific. I don't think I've ever screamed so much in my life. And you've done a lot of screaming on this. I screamed a lot through the series, right That was utterly terrifying. and I think that might have been for from oh no no, that was for the one. do something brave. That was for the one do something brave. is a personal highlight for you of this series, I think You standing just out here or you know, on top of the ladder. Yeah and screaming at the top of your lungs. Yes. I don't think I've ever ever been so frightened ever and actually done something in a show where I genuinely was that frightened. So yeah, seeing that their head lunged towards me, they told me that they didn't do that head with another person's head inside it to anybody else So so I was already like this and then I thought, o my god, do something brave And I thought, Well, the only things I don't really like doing is singing, I don't like heights and I really, really don't like worms. I don't like spiders, right? But since having children, I've had to deal with that, but I don't like a worm And when we did the task were had to find a worm.. I found a worm and I was really pleased with that. wor I hold it on a stick. I will not hold it in my hand. God because there's something about that they're soft But if you cut them in half they'd be their hard. Yeah ye And I was just like, oh my god. So I thought, you know what, right? Go with it. then you genuinely go you got to do something, you got to do something brave. Yeah. And so is that on top of the smallest ladder go in, right? So I managed to get up there. That was kind of that was alright But I'd made up a song Oh my god and the song where it came quite quick to me and it wasn't then like Joanna Pedro, I'm forty eight and I don't like wors. I something something, something something And I remember saying I'm doing this for my kids. and so I'm seeinging that. And then Alex collected some wors and spiders and I thought you know what You're very good at mind over matter. just blank it out right and just get on with it. and you are showing bravery. I'm sitting at the top of the stair of the lada and then it was like waiting for it and I hadd to hold my hands out basically like I was Jesus or something, right and I'm holding these hands classic Jesus And then Alex was going, Are you ready for them? Are you ready for them? o my god and it was just waiting, it was waiting. and then they're just so gentle And they went into my hand it was and they were there. I could feel them there and they're gentle but that they curve. And I don't like that. It's like obviously their muscles are contracting and I don't like that, that like that curve God, it was awful. it was awful. And I thought just, you know, you can power through this because you are good at powering through stuff and it was impossible. it was impossible. I went absolutely hysterical. And I know I didnt realize you were screaming that much. No, God no. I'm trying to sing the song. And I don't think I was even screaming. It was more sort of like I think I'm going It's like I would call that screaming Sious. What was mad that was so I was so hysterical and then there were these faillers in the golf course next door. I didn't even know that anybody was there because I was like I was delirious at this point. and then this moment hello, hello, Are you all right in there? Is everything okay? And we all just stopped and froze like we've been caught And it was like, oh my God. And then Alex just on his own went, Yes, thank you. everything is fine. And then the men were happy with thatch Why would you be happy with the man's voice saying, yeah f Faning is fine, everythingverything's okay. I know word from the woman. Those guys know. what's going on here? Yeah that this is a mad house. So Imagine knowing what goes on here. Imagine how much you were screaming that they felt like they had to intervene. And do you know right after all of that, right when it was finished? and then Alex said I'm going to put a spider on there now are you ready? And I was like, no, no, no. And then we had to stop right and I just couldn't do it the studio, I'm sitting opposite Greg right I think he went one point because I don't think that you were brave. I think I fought back on that one becauseuse I was like, arere you kidding me? It's relative isn' it? It's relative to what you're scared of. I think you you were very. my Godd, right. I'd already, I think, been quite lenient and nice because he said to me, right about Joel, who'd put three small bits of dust on his face, right? Do you think what Joel did then was brave be honest, right? And I had to go, Yeahah, I do think it was brave because I know he doesn't like spiders and he's had three very, very small ones put on his face. So yeah, I do because I wouldn't have been able to do that And then afterwards I thought he's been in the jungle for about two weeks with tarantulas and he's put some dust on his face. I'm sorry, right, but I shouldn't have been kind about that because that's rubbish. And then I remember pleeing to Greg and saying, being brave right? It's not about succeeding in something. It's not about doing the thing and then winning and doing it, being brave is doing something you're frightened of and you still do it and you fail at it and you get frightened, but you keep going and you try, right Shit, he gave me one point. He gave me I was disgusted It all worked out in the end Jarard are you won Don't you worry? Wh't like Greg off because he could take points back retrospectively. Oh God. Greg, I respect you. I respect your choice on that and its made me a better person What was the other one that he gave me one point, Oh my God. There was in retrospect looking back now on the episode where we had to bring something in. that was an episode that by the end of it, all of us were very quiet after we'd filmed this episode. and it was the one where you have to bring something in your most embarrassing object. And And then I told my story and Greg said, I don't think actually that you were very embarrassed then, Joe. And object was this? I brought in the snake plunger. The toilet snake ye. Toilet snake. Yeah. After I'd blocked my mother in law's toilet. I wasn't married yet. I was trying to impress her because I loved her son and I knew he was the one And I ended up blocking her toilet. She had a carpet in the toilet and I just remember everything pouring over the top. By the way. Yeah. carpet in the toilet is crazy any in itself I'm sorry. you were out, you know, it was just like And then I just remember she was really into Greek mythology and she had that big fan. And I remember plunging it with that and then she got the snake plunger and we had to plunge the toilet And after telling that story, Greg said I don't think that you were embarrassed about that. I'm going to give you one point. But I think I argued up against that one because I was getting braver. And I argued up against that one and he did end up giving me more. Well was I was there for that one. Yeah first It's the first one I came into the studio for G you poor thing. What did you So watch you I was absolutely losing my mind watching you deliver this I mean, it's been heavily edited. It felt like it went on for about twenty five. It went on for so long because I still wasn't getting anywhere. So then I volunteered the fact that I blogged the toilet in my dressing room that morning So I'm losing my mind, obviously. I'm like, this is incredible. This is the best prizice task I've ever seen. Joanna keeps going. And then they kept cutting to everyone else. I was like, why aren't they reacting like that? And I was like, Oh, she's done this every episode becausecause they're sat there like it's the most normal thing in the world just waiting for you to finish your story.s like, okay, we're six episodes in. This has happened every single week so far Well let's talk about this prize task, which is the object most likely to make you say, oh yeah, that's quality when when you see it And this is obviously Greg takes on the character of Dave for judging this. Oh God, that was good. I liked Dave. Yeah youked Dave. he was good. Well, you brought in a record of Tom Jones does Country and Western. Yes and went on an impassioned monologue about how sexy Tom Jones. Yes I thought was, you know, like With these things, you either have to go right, okay, what's the taskmaster gonna like? Yeah I'm going to go with that. But I think I seem to favour you know, what do I genuinely feel? What's affected me? What do I think is quality? And I just thought, my Godd, the only thing that's just making me go, oh yeah, that is quality is Tom Jones Tom Jones for starters, right pen Anne as a young man, right, An in tight trousers and singing and'm going to win his hh, you know, The masculinity, the maaleness Yeah. On top of that, country and Western, hairy chest, bare chest, on a horse. , right? Can you get anything more male? But also it's masculinity that I think masculinity now when people talk about it is connected with toxic masculinity. Yes But it's not toxic in any ways,'s just naturally he exudes exudes sex. Yes, yes. And I did. I was getting desperate by this point as well and I did have to flatter Greg as well. I thought, no get a bit of flattery there might give you more points as well and he did.ince Yes since I you Matt Greg who also exudes that. Yes. I mean he does he've got a fair point Which he does He's incredibly tall and he is very male. Yes. Which is more than I can say for Alex, who I have previously said, I do not find could be classed as a maid So describe the cover of the Tom Jones record. He's brilliant, He's in jeans. and he's got like a shirt, I think it's a denhim shirt. It's open to about here. You can see his bare chest, you can see his hair on his chest. he's got a stetszon on and he's like in motion and you can see he sitting upright and he's in motion and he's riding that horse. He's riding a horse. Yes ot like Putin, I'. Because you told me on the last episode, you can only ever imagine dictators riding horses. Where was Tom I clearly Tom Jones on a horse is a big thing for you. Why did that not pop into your brain? God, that's so true. Or are we saying that you think Tom Jones is a dictator of some sort? Oh seeee look, I don't see if I only see dictators on horses, I don't see Tom that way. I see him as like a big hunky mayor h not in that sc Not a dictator. That you like you do learn you learn a lot about yourself on this show. And I quite clearly don't see it Tom that way H and the horse are one. Well, you got four points for this. I think you're ched about You're very impassioned about how sexy Tom Jones is. so I think I think that it shone through how much you gener you can And I do understand. I think Armando won didn't he because my go, that tape machine. The tape machine is on Greg Street as well. this harks back to, you know, series seven when when Cry got him and brought in a laminator. Oh my go, yes. Huge for Greg. So the fact this I mean, and Greg says I'll buy this on the way home, I bet he did. Yeah. You know what got me about the cellot tape dispenser when Armando revealed that you can put in different lengths. Yeah You can program it for different lengths and I will I will be buying one of those as well In fact I better get on with it before the episode goes out because I think they're going sell. Oh my god, that's so true. they'll be sold out. Yeah. You won't be able to get a Tom Jones record or I sell take dispenser. One thing I think you might be able to get is hornsy pottery. Oh God, you know what R? I was shocked by that because they so straightforward. Oh Oh my god, Amy what of you've done this is the last episode. I mean, you know, you're up for it. You clearly, we're all wanting to win now and everything. You're really, really brilliant. And I thought, my God, you must have been having a bad day or something then because that pottery is shit. I don't understand. They look like nice pottery. Yeah, pottery was nice. But not f surprised us It's when Camalee just keeps laughing at her and she keeps breaking off and going stop stop laughing at me. She's like just stop it. She knows. She knows what she's done and she'srought in twist with No twist to it. It's just quality. It It's a really nice story about her down and everything. I think it leads to what is my favorite Greg Davis moment of this series when he's Dave And they say, What does Dave think about it? Amy's really worried she doesn't like Dave. And he just goes I think it's toilet. Y. That made me scream like. That was so good Yeah, poor Amy, it does look genuinely nice pottery out of everything here. I know, so I want this s of tape to spenton and I'd probably take I think she probably though. I think she'd you know, I don't think she had much left to give after the castad and after the plea for the Castad. Yeah you know, and I've yet to find because I thought I want to try that out. but I've not managed to get enough custard together to actually properly walk on it and see what she was saying and if it was true or not Y. There are videos out there, are there People walk on custards, yeah. Oh my God. Do you know talking about other different things? I kind of realized my age in this because after we did the task, where we walked in and there was the Kight in shhining arrmour and he's got that tube thing and there were all those pots and pans. Oh my Godd, I walked into that room and I remember thinking, I don't have a clue clue about this at all. I do not understand what these pots are here from. Why is there water? I don't understand any of it I remember lining them up and then filling some with water and then going, you know what, right? I know I'm supposed to be using these somehow, but I'm going off on my own tangent here. I'm gonna to solve it and I'll do it my own way. And I brought back that tube and I was chauffed about that because I thought that's very technical. Yeah. I wouldn't be doing this in the house, right? I'd be my husband to do something like this. this is really technical for me now, but I've got a tube and it bends I have taped it wo what's required and I've got it in in one, and I just thought, o my God, I could make a career out of this. I thatelt really good. That job was available somewhere. I'm sure you'd be very good at it When will people learn that Greg hates wordplay either Camle He had notock clocked that or he just wanted to annoy Greg the koala tea. Yeah. But what I loved about this is there was a moment where he started taking his shirt off and everyone leant round he were like, Oh. I know. I think Alex even says finally. Yes. I felt a bit embarrassed about my there were two times when I felt a bit embarrassed about my reaction All of us, whenever Cemel did something where you know, he was e the winking or it was something with his arm or you could see us all go, o, you know it suddenly became like serious, like, oh no I want to look. And when he winks, I think I go nice and I felt a bit embarrassed about myself with that, right? And then when he starts and buttonting, I really like clock it and I felt a bit embarrassed about myself then I didn't want to miss it because his arms are incredible. Huge. Yeah, they are Bg. Terrifying. But yeah, he led himself down with a t shirt, but it was really sweet that time sh. I thought it was really funny. I loved it and he's so proud of himself when he was at Kala tea. Yeah. And then Greg Greg tries to pretend he likes it, but then very clearly gives him two points because he does not like wordpl. Yeah. Let's finally talk about Joel' memento from his time as a rapper, a clip from one of his songs I would say This is classic someone wants to get a prriice task in and it doesn't matter what the cross Yes. G to the last episode because it's not quality. We know that's not quality. We know it's if it's quality it's of a very low quality and he's lucky to get three points for this, but I'm so glad he's brought attention to this to the wider world because I've known about this for a while. Yeah Yeah, because Joel Joel's told me about this. He's also played it in one of his stand upp shows. Yeah. this is genuine. He was a teenager ye the lime is bitter, the light is bright. Long pas, safe. Oh It's just gota be one of the best things I've ever heard in my life. It was incredible.o Joel's got such a rich history of some of the most embarrassing stuff you've ever heard. Oh my God, his diary. His diary was incredible. You you want to know about Joel's imaginary friends? I probably will talk to him about this on the podcast as well. No. You know how some kids have imaginary friends, but they'll have one imaginary friend? Yeah and they'll be called L Bogies. I had one called Dy. Well, there you go But you had one imaginary friend. Joel had an imaginary family friend. They were a family of friends An Asian family called the Mongcasters. Oh my God. That sounds like a sitcom. Yeah. Oh my go. That Joel had a whole family of imaginary friends And I said this to my wife I was like, Joell I had a whole imaginary family called the Moncasters My wife, who is odd. o I had a hundred imaginary friends. Oh my God. They all sit along the wall when I walk to school And do you know their names? she went, I know most of their names. They were like people who went they were a bit more in the background and there were some people who they were like main players. When you realize you've married a psychopath. Oh my Godd, that's mad. So yeah,o Joel has a lot of this stuff where you can just talk to him for agesad about Yeah's just It's his voice, which we know it's his voice, but it's just that it sounds so much younger and it's so serious and he thinks he's just so cool Yeah. And that when he says that sentence about the limelight and then he finishes with safe Oh my Godd, it was brilliant.'s one of the best things I've ever heard in my life. The first time I met Joel, he was He was acting in a film and he was playing a rapper. Oh my God. And we did a gig together and he was doing the film at the same time and he had corn rose. Oh my go, are you seeious Well we did a gig in Lesicester together. and it's very difficult to explain to people in Leicester this is not my normal hair. I've not done this deliberately. I'm in a film called Bashman. Look at it up, There's a trailer on YouTube. Because yeah, he used to do acting and stuff because I've seen him interviewed or something where he's talking about he was in a play. Yeah, and I can't remember where I've seen this, but he's talking about being in a play. Yeah, he used to do acting. I think believe one of his first roles was getting off with Sina Miller in a play O in a film What f? look at that. Was it a TV show? No I think it was a film I'm trying to think becauseuse I used to go up for the same sort of stuff as her. Yeah. all the same sort of imagine what I could have got off for Joe D. Well, we need he basically did because we got married in the last episode. Oh ye of course, you're just like you're getting married. But an amazing prize tas to round out the series.. Amy gets one point for Wsey Pottery, Camale gets two points Joel gets three points, you get the four points, Joanna, and five points for Armando. Okay, Amy Heyy hello. Hella, I have brought in some quality hornsy pottery I don't think Dave's going like this. This is what she brought in Oh laugh at that m. This is actually very quality stuff. So this is made in Hornsey where I went to school and Hornsey Pottery made the town all famous and now this stuff's can you please stop laughing ity ceramic. Famously durable. Let's ask Dave. Oh. Dave I think it's toilet Task one, fill this egg cup with lint. You have ten minutes and the egg cup must stay in the lab. Also you must stop this clock at exactly ten seconds at some point during the second half of your attempt. otherwise you are disqualified most lint wins. Your time starts now. My first thought to win that right was Oh my Godd, right, get the roller. Yeah And I thought my first initial thought was the sticky thing. The sticky thing, right? But just go for everyone's barely buttons I mean just get the men, get the barely buttons. And then really quickly, I remember asking, Ohh my God, is this inappropriate? And then I dropped my dungarees. and I thought I'm wearing tights today because I thought it was going to be quite cold, so I think we're allright. What is a sentence, by the way? I thought, is this inappropriate? So I dropped my dungarees. And then I'm rollering myself up and down Yeah. And then I said to all the boys, right, come on, give me your barely buttons. And I tried to get as much out of there as I could And it was when I was doing that I thought, no and not one part of me. like after watching Joe, I was like, o my Godd, he genuinely just thought whereere would like Lint be? Yeah. He's gotta be Lint. He did amazingly in this. So good. justust like actually thinking, I'm just gonna hunt it down. My thought was There is some, they would never just expect us to just find something. They're always planning something, there's always like an interior motive. And I thought, o my go, and then it clicked for like one of the very first tasks I did. but I got so excited because I pressed the remote control and a mystery door opened. I was like, Oh my Godd, I really am like in Willie Wonkerss World S. This is insane And I remember pulling these those three things out, the duck, the lint and something else And I remember thinking, oh my god that doesn't relate to anything here, but clocket, there's obviously something to do with this. So good that you remembered it. I was so impressed. So chuffed with. obbviously I knew it was there because I watched a lot of these episodes back to back. So I'm sat there all clever going, Don't you remember the lint in the cupboard? Well clearly it's been months since you've seen the lint. so it's so amazing to actually actually remember I just knew that there was something suspicious then when I realized and I thought, oh my go, the lint Yeah. But that's as far as my brain went. because I went and I got the lint. And I was really angry with myself afterwards because I thought, oh my God, Joel went and he got two egg cups. Yeah. And he filled both of them because I thought, oh you're sorted. All you need to do was fill this egg cups.. Yeah mean he got more points because he filled two egg cups. Yeah, but I don't think you should get I think I didn't think he should have got. I thought no, you work with the stuff you're given. There is no going outside of your boundaries. You work with the stuff that you're given So that's why I was like, no, I found the L, the littlet. I found the. You do what Amando did now. L not mint. it's not lint. Was when Greg Wint Ohmando's mind like imploded on folded not itself. It did. he completely lost his mind. He just he justost it, didn't he you? he just kept saying lint. But it's not mint. and not lint not mintint not mint. And so I got my lint and I put it in the egg capp and I felt that was all that was required Then I lost the ab. And then what And then what happened, Joanna? Because I still can't work out what happened C you counting yourself looking at the time clearly going on the screen and pressing the button at thirteen seconds A one point eight seconds you pressed at And then you went did you not realize that there's a number on the screen related to the times? Did you think there was another random number? I thought, right, there were a lot of things going on because I thought that timer I thought I would only get a chance to press it once. Right. There were lots of things like in that task where we had to put things in our mouths, I cut myself short on that because I thought, no you've got to be fast. and you've got to get it one after the other, after the other. And when I slipped up on one of those, I thought, oh god, that's the end of the task now. I didn't realise I just could have kept going with that one. This was like along the same lines And I knew that it was a timer and I was going to have to stop it at ten. And so it started going and when it did, the numbers on the left were like really slow and the numbers on the right were going so fast and then I thought I don't know what a second is I don't know what So you were looking at the point something as the actual second. Yeah, that was going really, really fast and then I thought Oh my Godd, is that a second It's going like one, two, three, four, five, six and I don't know. I don't know if I'm supposed to stop that at ten or if I'm supposed to stop the one on the left at ten. Because why is there one on the right going really fast? Shouldn't there just be the one on the left? And then I thought, oh my Godd, my head's gone now. I don't know which one is which. I don't know. how do you count to a second So then I pressed stop. and then I started panicking because I thought, no, this would be a task I'm good at. Don't mess it up because you should you would be good at this, right And then when I pressed it again, I then started thinking I need to count ten from here. I need to go one fromom where three from where darkens already. Then go bom. Yeah. And then the number that came up then just didn't make sense. And then I thought, well, I've blown it now, I can't have another go. And then I realized because I rememberin saying to Alex, well what happens? if I've now gone past that And he said, Ohh just well, you know, you just have to just see and so I pressed it again and it was reset. So I thought, Oh God, right we can have another go to count to ten. And I think it took me about three or four goes to count to ten before I achieved it. But you were so delighted with God, I was over the moon. Oh my God. someone who forgot how to count you. You're very proud of yourself. So proud. But did you see me when I came in and I just went something like ' the lint. you find me somebody else who's got more lint than that. And they did. it was Joe. And I just thought, o my Godd, I felt I was like annoyed with that one. Can I ask you about your dunges and your outfit? Yes, Yes. We deliberately dress as a minion ue That's so true. 'cause it yeah, that is so true It was very minion coded. My go and then what about when I had Yeah I know the other other go. I hadn't thought I hadn't even thought. My first thought was, right? Be I was coming into this. I wasn't like, o my go, I really want to win, but I am competitive. So if I'm going to do something, I want to win. So my first thought was, right, you need something that you can move in because whatever they give you to do, you know you're going to get physical And then I just thought, and I want to be comfy Obviously it needs to look like some kind of uniform type thing. So I thought right Dungarees they're the best thing to do. These were like really movable ones Then I thought very much like what is a happy colour that I like? It's yellow. It always makes me smile And that was that's as far as my thinking went with my coste. Well, you've got the same thinking as the minions. But with the goggles on his. I think it's a good way to go because I think that Joel with all of his leather Yeah And then choos to keep an egg in his pants. so that's a lot of sweat going on is't it. That's a lot. We've already said Joel goes straight for the hoover, very impressive I believe about And I like this episode because Joel does so well in this episode. But everyone's so surprised Greg's like, you've been awful on this show, Joel. Yeah. but you've actually nailed it. He's finally warmed up and he's doing. It' so nice that we all ended up winning the show it got to the very he left it til the end. Yeah. And I think we were all genuinely so happy that he'd won a show. We were like, o, yay Yeah Amy does well here. I think I mean, there's a lot of chat about what Lint is. You know, Kamalle's asking again to Google lintidage like it did with the Wormms in episode one and and adventure. I think Lint is as Armando says, domestic bum fluff. Yeah. It's anything that ends up balled up together, right? Yes, it is, but it's not hair, is it? Is not? Well, look, I would say that I would have been good at this because as Amy mentions Anyone with a pet has got a shit on them all? Yes. So I have a big fluffy white cat Yeah. So if I went in there and Lint rolled myself and got all the cat hair off, would you say that was Lint? I would actually because I'm thinking right, Lint to me is basically, say you've been wearing a top And then there's like, you know, all of the like the lint which is in your belly button. that is lint. And then yeah, I've got dogs. So if I was doing this and I take anything basically that you can get on one of those sticky things And Yeah Anything that goes on the lint roller. Yeah is basically lint. Is lint? That's first. Is it though Is it? Is it? Be I, you know, because I think that and I'll go with animal hair yeah because I don't really shed my own hair. But saying that if it's a man and it's his chest or back hair, I probably would say that that was. Yeah, I do think. When we were in that, I remember thinking It's not lint That's not lint.'s not Camle cut it all off potatas and put it in. Yeah. I remember thinking No because that's not that's not lint. And when Amy was doing her own hair, I was like, no, that's not lint. You need to find lint. I kind of I kind of agree with that. I think it was inventive what they did and I see why Greg let it go I think it's anything loose. so anything that would come up with the sticky thing. Yeah too me is Lint. So if Amy did it on her head with the sticky thing and some came up Yes. I'd say Lint. But if you're cutting it Yeah, then that's not Lint Yeah. If a cat is involved. And it was on this task, wasn't it that they shamed her over her Grubby socks Grubby sock. ' she's cutting her sock. I mean, that's commitment to the bit is it? It is. and because there are things places that you'd go to, which you don't realize you're going go to during that day, but you feel the need to go to them, like me dropping dungarees and then thinking I'm just wearing like really elasticated stretchy tights here, but I don't care who sees me and the I need to find lint. and then Amy getting those socks out which she wasn't prepared to get out. You know my first thought genuinely when I saw this for the first time wasas if I was trying to be clever with it, I would have gone straight to the kitchen to see if there were any lint balls a lint ball? The chocolates. Yes. There was discussion about that as well. Was there? Yes. And just, you know, pushing it into the into the egg cup. you think that do you think that would have Yeah, well, mind you, I think it could have. But if Greg doesn't like his play on words and all of that, it's spelt differently And also, I wouldn't bother doing that because I've seen the selection of snacks and I don't think they would have pushed them out up that But they might sometimes if they think someone might try and find a way round it, they buy those things in and Yes and leave it in there. Yeah. ye. we'll see It would have been a good go. we'll we'll ask Alex. Alex is in today. We're going to ask him if they left any lint in there. You trying to lint roll People's belly buttons is so funny by the way. It's quite surprised that there wasn't anything in people's belly buttons. I don't think it exists anymore. It kind of doesn't, does it? No. Is it because people's jeans and stuff are more low slang. But mind you, you've still got the jersey and the jumper ofo. Yeah, but I just think, I don't know, too me it just seems so nineties, eighties and nineties belly button belly buttons. I didn't get anything out of anybody's barellly buttons. And I went into all of them And then Were you just using the roller orer Yeah I could feel righten. I would feel so violated I apologize beforehand. I took a lot. Even when my wife for a laugh puts her finger in my belly button, because she knows it makes me feel uncomfortable. It makes me feel so weird. Yeah Yeahet there is something I don't quite like people putting there when they really put a finger in face. Yeah But no, I was like, I mean, I remember cutting off some of Alex's hair and his Bad for a different time with a coconut tas And I've been in his barely baton. pooor guy just gets ravaged in every series. There is nothing sacred on that man anymore But yeah, it was a super fun task.. Armando obviously go straight for the jumper, which was very good. It was one point for Amy, poor Amy, not having a good episode. twowo points for Camillle, three points for you Joanna, four points for Armando and of course, five points for Joel getting into Henry's asshole Oh. Have you ever put your fingers into Henry's arhole All right into Henry Faller Can I get another icub? Sure. Thanks, bud Oh, that was nice. Yeah hair. Oh, I've got real good left. That's the good stuff right there. That's from like John Robins belly bird. That's Topie Tuka's hair. How long have I got this? You've got one minute, one second. Stop it! Oh Congratulations. It's now just Lyn. which is a show that I'm gonna be hosting on channel five after this. My second day. That is Lynn. you Yep. I'm happy with that though. Yeah, that's a thought I didn't. It wass interesting to go through the sort of dregs of the Task Master house. Yeah, it's never been emptied that so Thankk you, Joob. only Why would you sniff it? I don't know. two, have the most exhilarating near miss with this paint balloon. You have twenty minutes, your time starts now Amazing at the amount of different ways that people thought of doing this. Yeah. Let's talk about yours first of all, Joanna. When I saw it, yeah, I saw it in the bowl Because yeah, Alex has to correct me when I say no one's bowl of paint and it's like it's no, it's not a bowl balloon. But when I saw it and oh my god, it's really heavy and you can see that it's full of paint So my first thought was, oh my god, you know, I always used to go with the first thing I came up with. because it's like, oh my god, impulsive the first thing, let's just do that. And I just thought I want someone to throw it at me. I'd like to get hit by it. I want it to explode. And I'm just going to go with that. I know it's pretty basic, but that's what I just want to go with And then I thought, oh my Godd, it's so it was so fragile Yeah that I thought, canan you imagine really hurtling it up really high in the air and then catching it? I'm never going to be able to catch it. It's going to explode And you know, that can be it. and I'm just gonna to basically have a really ch go all in and hope go in hope. hope that it doesn't explode Yeah get the near miss. Well, no, I was thinking it's going to. But then how is that a near miss It's not, but it would have been fun. Yeah. well, I think Amy very much does the same sort of thing Beause at first I said, canan I just run around the garden will someone throw it at me?. But that was kind of like, no, we've kind of got something kind of along the same lines as that. Try and think of something else. And I was like, well you know, I would just like to get hit by it. I'm just gonna throw it in the air. Now how that ended up? Oh no no, I keep thinking now, like, yeah, so that's the other one when I'm talking to the donkey ' that donkey keeps haunting me that one Because I come in blowing the hall. Yeah. Oh no, it was the same one. It was because you do come in. Aand', Yeahah. Because I still don't know what you were doing there, Johanna. canan we talk about this on? Yeah, becausecause I was gonna to say, I'm not sure because Greg challenges me on it. It doesn't mean he says to me. Yeah you wr you ride in blow the horn And then you say hi to Alex, you hug Alex, then you wrestle into the ground. Well, it basically became right a thing about all the things I want to do. Right. And so it was just like, oh my go, I just want to have a really good time. I just these are my fun things. I would like to sit in a wheelbarrow. I'd like it if Alex could push me in. I want to blow that really long trumpet thing because it's massive So I want to be blowing that when I jump out of the wheelbarr, all right? Oh my Godd, wouldn't it be brilliant if I kicked Alex's legs out from under him and pushed him on the ground. It's not related to anything else No's like it's just the things I want to do. And then I'm just gonna to go up to the balloon. I'm going to pick it, I'm throw it as hard as I can in the air and then I'm going to go cap, but it's obviously going to explode and then I don't know how I'm gonna to pass that off as in the earess I'm just going enjoy myself. Yeah. So those that was my thinking And then Oh my go, you can see I throw it really I really throw it in the air catch it and I sort of take it into my body, which I think has got to be one of the sportiest things I've ever done in my life. Well but it's not the most sporty thing you've done on this series. Oh my Godd, what do you think? I want to quickly shout you out for catching that golden T shirt. Oh my god. Which I think is one of the coolest things you did all series. It's so smooth, one handed catch, no problem. That is amazing. So this is your second big catch of the series. Yeah and I it didn't explode great name. I would like to say as well that I did that alongside a Marvel he is a Marvel superhero, isn't he? Yeah yeah. and I did that and he did and No. So I might not have the arms or the wink But I' got a catching ability. I quite clearly can catch. I can catch. I think that's how they cast Marvel now, so Youll you'll be in the next one. I can be the Welsh one with that catches. Yes. and I don't know if that character exists in the comments. I don't think they do, but It's Hollywood so I can invent one. They can invent it. A superhero from Wales's good at catching. Yes. my Godd, that's really good. But yeah, you see I take it in I take the weight of it in. I couldn't flip and believe it. You can see that I'm like, oh my god And then I throw it up and over and I just love the way that it I very rarely do anything that is that smooth And you can see w away and it exploding behind you is pretty cool. It's's like, you know, that's like walking away in a film and everything's exploding. Yeah. Yeah. I enjoyed that. Yeah Yeah you got three points of some other brilliant near messes from people. God, what about Amy? Well, yeah, let's talk about Amy What' she trying to do? The thing is, we've obviously had Amy on the podcast already. What did she say? Well can't we didnt weren't able to talk about this. So I'll have to ask her privately. What was she trying to do? Well, she said to us And I think it's all about physics, isn't it? Beuse I would have had the same kind of thinking that if it's coming towards you, you would naturally go like that. So it is going to be knocked away and go on to Alex probably But that's because I'm not very good at physics. And it's a heavy ight, isn't it?. And probably when it hits something solid, it doesn't go oh I'm gonna bounce back because I'm light. My Godd, right? This is like this could be this could be a science podcast right now, right? because I'm not sure about that Ch. I'm not good at physics, but in my own mind, right? I've actually realized how objects and stuff work because if it's a heavy object, it's not going to like bounce back will just hit that and just then explode there and then. Was she hoping maybe? If she hit it right, it was going explode, but it would explode around her and she'd be untouched. Yeah. But what it was gonna be like nothing. What happened was that somehow every single bit of paint in that balloon just went onto her face. God It was so funny. It really funny. It was like a cartoon. It's like everything. But I don't think anybody was expecting that because I remember she told me that everybody was a bit like, oh yeah, you know. And then when that happened Ebody was a bit like Oh my god, it's only the beginning the day.. You're covered in paint. We need to somehow have a shower. We need do hair and makeup again. All of the, you know, stuff in front of the house is just stained now. we' got to get paint off the floor. I don't think anybody thought it was It was was It was amazing. It was just brilliant, wasn't it? We were watching a legendary gift being made. Y Yes It's incredible Now some good, I mean, actually let's talk about the other disaster, which was Kamail who went from action hero to I mean, it was like and then turned into a jackass. The Matrix style. Oh my go that bullet st. Obviously you could see the green screen person holding him as he leant right back In the beginning, you did did yout Oh God, how was he doing all of that? It looked so good. It was such a good idea. I thoughtw he's nailed this one and then it hits him straight in the dick. Yeah And the really unfortunate thing of the balloon exploding slightly and the paint was white, so it just looked like he just come in his pants. Yes. I like the way though that he said Like no, I'm symmetrical. Meaning that there's a bit there and something either side went I'm very symmetric. Yeah. I' that a word. Is that even a word? Straight. R R down the middle. It was so funny. smashed. I't like the way that he accepted that that was the center of his body. center of his body. Yeah, whichich is as it should be from a Hollywood superstar. Yeah, absolutely. You can measure exactly where his norm is. Yeah, it's so funny. And he said the near miss is it nearly missed his body Yeah so I mean, you got everything in that because you'd got the carbet. God ye. And then you got the slapstick. Yeah. I thought it was so funn. I mean Amy An Joel, it was exhilarating, so you know, the near miss didn't happen, but it was amaz. But Armando was actual proper backsor but that's what you get from such a talented writer. So Armando you on the way to a recorder convention and they've said that you're not allowed to have paint on you. It was making me laugh so much. Oh God it was really The backstw is what did it because the actual near miss was not good. It got on him for a. I love the way that it hit him and he sort of was tryed of just like that. And they've sent the information months in advance saying absolutely no pain. No pain Absolutely What a joy What a joy too watch that man work is a privilege. Yeah. It was so good. F Fnds off the So good But we've got to talk about Joel because this was the well deserved highquance of Joel here. He thoughtought it through so perfectly, and I don't know if this was deliberate or whether it was just happenstance that he hit the water exactly the same time as the paint hit the floor. Yeah. So you got the burst of the white and then the burst of the orange water. Oh, it was incredible about. It was beautiful. It was really, really good, reallyally well thought out and it was just slipp It just went it was really, really good. Another five points for Joel. He was on fire on this episode, wasn't he? To think if he'd maintained this quality for the whole series, he could have been in with a shout of winning. But yeah, it looked amazing Alex S to Your character was going to a recorder recordererence recorder. and no pain's allowed. We were all sent, I mean, months ago we were sent an envelope with a card saying no paint. It's looking very real in your mind, hasn't it? This conference? Y. You must not have any paint on them whatsoever. Oh God no, you must not. It's to do with the acoustics. Yeah Of course, Joanna had a narrative to hers as well. While I was doing in the wheel barrow with the trumpet with Alex pushing me, I'm not sure. A es honesty is the best policy I've got backstory for you. whichich if you were on your way to horn conference Draack the girl into your madness. She's looking for lint in people's beally buttons. Let's talk about the final. Task The final VT task A Task three choreograph and carry out the greatest pillow fight of all time. Greatest pillow fight of all time wins. Your pillow fight must last no longer than one minute. You have twenty minutes, your time starts now Immediately, you and Amando, we need a battering ram and a catapult. Yes. Yes, straighta awayay. Talk me through the team dynamic here because you're saying you were worried about the creative things. Yes. This is obviously a big creative moment for both of you. It was brilliant because I just thought, o my go, from here on in, right? On my CV, I will forever now put and I will tell everybody that I have acted in a film, written and directed and acted opposite. Armando Aanuccies. I have now been in one of his films.. The first thing Armando did was he said right then we came up with our story and he said, right, I'm going to write a few bits and bobs because I was very much like, oh let's just make it up in the spotlist tomropervise He was like, No, I'm going write it. I'm going write it. He said, give me email address, write it out and then I'll send it you and we'll learn lines. So I was like I basically I've been I'm in his film. Yeah. I'm in his film.. I mean this is going on the CV Yeah. And so then we started doing and then I went and I started dressing up. I thought, right get myself a costume. And just organically I became like this wild, you know like forest woman you went You went wild. Yeah. were the noises you were making and just It's very funny how we naturally and instinctively took on the roles of him. being in like a bathrobe and drinking like a cocktail like Roman emperor was sophistication and how my go to is basically being a bit base to roll and Rw. And I really likek putting that costume on right and standing by the bushes because nobody could see me. It was like, oh my God, I really do have camouflage. Apart. And then the Yeah Apart from like the Toya Wilcox wig and then it was very soilco It was good, wasn't it? I was like, oh my Godd, I am loving this right now And then yeah, the firing things back and forth. And then I started thinking, oh my Godd, is it a bit too much that I'm really like full on hitting him? And then I'm going to pin him down by his throat by a pillow. Is it too much because it's Armando and then I thought, no let's just have fun and go for it But oh my go, I just loved it. And you know what I really loved, right the bit at the end Alex. on, you know the big dart board thing, the pin board And it was only when the music stops that I realised I'd really got into it and I was going, take it, Alex, take it, Alex, takeake it. You go No, thank you. I don't want to. I think that's what really set it apart for me as a thing because I loveved the initial battle. I think you were both in your characters so wonderfully. And you got so into character, I don't even know you realize you were doing this. You were jutting your jaw out. That's how aggressive your characters you Like animalistic living living in the hills, you Yeah. Oh yeah. and obviously Amanda was just sort of overseeing everything that he owned. was It was an amazing thing, but what set it apart for me It was the extension of the story that you then you made peace with each other. You're like, what are we doing? We need to turn on Alex. And I think that was something that I was not expecting from this and it really it really helped flh out. I liked it that we took it down, we changed the momentum and the speed and all of that, we took it down. We had our pillow talk and we were talking with each other then lovely touch. Yeah. And then we went for Alex then Yeah. And then we managed to get the rest of the tasks and everything off them Yeah Yeah, fantastic. But oh my go, the other team, there's, oh Godd, it was so good. This so this was so up my street that that they thought let's just turn it into a full Tarantino. and really went for it really went for it with the I was really surprised I was like, oh my god, this is really good. Yeah It was It was very different to yours. Completely. It was a lot less family friendly. was It was an eighteen, wasn't it? It was It was. 'cause the legs coming off as soon as the first leg came off like Yeah It was like it must have been tomato sauce flting out. Yeah, so good. And this was I mean for both of yours, this was a real one for the Task Master team to get sink their teeth into it. Oh God. yeate these epises. But isn't it mad that you think you're so involved in this world And you think that what you have done in just such a mad task that that is the way to do it. And then you start watching everybody else. and you're like, o my God, how other people can just totally think of something completely different And it's quite cool actually that they did redeem theirsel with that one because when we had to do that other task as a team earlier on, and we had to go into that room and they said you're not allowed to smile. Yeah. You have to take in an object with you and then you know you have to, you know act with each other. You're in there for two minutes, then you need to leave. And then we realised then that we had to voice each other Yeah. I thought that me and Armanda were going to get like zero for that because it was mortifying And oh God, it was just like it was just hilarious. But then the other day they got worse than us didn't they because that was really fad. That was a hard task though, to be fair. So hard. Yeah. So you know the shame as well, right? afterfter you've been in and you've done it and stuff, and you just think, Ohh, you know, that's just a task then. And then later on when they sit you down and then they open up the computer And you're sitting there as if you're like in a police station or something. There's like two microphones and I thought, o my god, why are there microphones here? And then you realize that you have to revoice Armando and he is doing you. Oh my go, that I felt shame on that one. you were a very good team, you know. I think that was a slip up, sure, but it was for the other team as well. But I thought yeah, I guess the horse painting wasn't great. but I thought it was was it was great. It worked well actually work together our teams. Yeah. But yeah, oh my go, the other team, but then When we were all chuffed then to get five points, weren't we? Yeah Well, I don't think you were all chuffed actually. He let himself down, couldn't he? Kamail unfortunately and I believe he did let himself down slightly here But the other unfortunate thing I have to say is I would have done the same thing. Wh yourself down? Because it was only afterwards that I thought about it. And then I did think, o God, yeah, none of that makes sense. we're all just the same. But in my head I thought, no no, don't don't. It's a lovely way toin the sitation. because I think you both did do a really good job on on that task and they were very different difficult to separate. I can see why Greg struggled with separating you Yes. And you don't want to end the series by going you did do a good job but you only get three points. Yeah And I still can't believe that Greg was so nice to all of us.. But I do think as like a big team, we did all have we all had such a laugh and we had such a nice feel that it was quite fitting for all of us to go out on something like that, wasn't it? But then so there was this, you both got five points for this. I think they were both brilliant And Amy says I'm gonna put this we're gonna to put this on our CVs We're in the film. Oh ye with Camillle. and then Greg does make the point probably don't. Oh my Godd, when he just goes don't. Yeah, don't God it was that so funny. Don't you can't put theill the pillow point on your CV Yeah You would advise again. Oh my god, you know a bit I really loved right. We'd all been playing it. We're like ready children. Is this the egg? Yes. This was a beautiful way to end The horn goes off and everyone gets an airgl. We all got I was hiding mine down here and I' to lift up my wedding dress to get up there to get it. And then we all were like You know, we've all got our eggs out. We're all so excited. I've still got that egg. Have you? Yeah, and weirdly enough, right? I've kind of kept that hidden as well, but I've kept it in my u No why right? but I've kept it in my underwear drawer. And you know right? Why did you need to hide that? your kids aren't gonna to know what that relates to at all? I know. And you know what's even worse, right? is that after we'd finished that, I wanted to keep that egg as a memento and I put it in my trainers. And then the next day I realized that God only knows what I'd done right, but I'd squashed it. I'd slightly cracked it, so I've still got the complete egg. Put your trainer around are Oh't put your trainer on. No, no, I didn't. I must have like put something on or squashed it. And I've now I had all egg and everything in the train out, but I've still got there. But so it's like it's a smelly egg and I've got it in my underwear drawer and I don't know why would it seem the safest place for it. It's the best place to put a smelly egg, I think in your underwear drawer Oh God. But it was a wonderful moment, but you do notice Joel does not get a point for producing the egg. Oh my god, he doesn't, because yes. He doesn't get a point. But Greg says that in episode one. Yeah. We never said you're you're going to get a point for this. Yeah. But I thought at the end maybe he could have because we know Joel's last Right? Joel could have got a point He could have got a point for the egg thing. It wouldn't have changed the rankings at all but still think does not get a point. And you know what? he doesn't mind. He doesn't and he knows from the get go that he's going to get nothing for it and he still continues to do it. Yeah Bless him. bless him. and that he's never going to be able to hear an air horn again. Never. He's never going to be able to go to, you know anywhere where they have air horns. He's never going to be able to go to a big day rave because he's going to be he's going to be panicking. He's going to be looking for his egg every time an airhorn goes up. N never going to be able to go to the F one. Cstantly looking for an egg. get something el Oh my God, I remember when as soon as it started, we were all quite nervous going into the studio and then they started talking and then suddenly Alex goes, h And I just remember feeling like this mion next to me And I looked and there was like all this capfauffle and I thought, what the hell is he doing? L like he lost his mind is. And then I thought, oh my god, o and I was quite scared. I thought, oh my god, it's starting, o my go, it's starting. They're just they are fucking with us. And then that was like that was from the very beginning Yeah Por Jel Everybodyud looks pretty sexy in that. It was so fun. And look, full credits to Camele ' he just turned so Hollywood so quick. It was like unbelievable. took the whole thing by the horns. He was like this angle, this angle we' gonna do this, this this and we're all just like It was unbelievable. Ween We're gonna be in a film with Camille S baby Yeah Yeah, I wasn't that Let's talk about the final live task of the series. Chuck your' duck in the buck Chuck chuck your duck in put your duck in the bucket You must sit on your chair at all times and must not touch the ground or anything other than your chair or duck with any part of your body fastest wins Everyone cottons on pretty quickly basically got to thrust your way Yeah towards the duck. So this is a big physical task to end the series. It was solid. I couldn't do it at all. Oh my God, I was sweating so muchight because we'd all decided to wear something really lovely for the last episode. Yeah. So I had that big dress on. there was a lot of material. I was wearing tights I was wearing a petticoat as well because I knew I was putting my dack down my top.. So I thought I can't lift the dress up I justbe I could just be. could be. Yeah. So I was like I already had a load of layers on underneath that dress And I just couldn't make the chair move. And it was at this point, right that I thought, o go I don't think right. I'm taking myself out of the running of winning Any of this right because I'm just enjoying myself now because there's no way that I'm going to have won this series or you know, like this episode or whatever. and I'm fine with that. I just want to, you know enjoy myself now and have a laugh So late! I noticice the boys were really good. they were like picking themselves up and like jumping with h. Yeah ye. becausecause at one point I think I had Well I was trying to just move and I've obviously not got enough thrust, right because I could not I couldn't get any purchase Yeah. It was just like it was not going. So the only way I could manage to make myself move was if I held one leg out and I think I'd run arm out and it was if I like kicked the leg and just kept the leg out and just kept moving that way, o my Godd, it was solid and I was sweating like a pig afterwards and I knew it was bad BeCcauseuse when it finished, Alex said to me, A are you all al right, Joe? I was going Yeah, I'm fine'm fine, so I thought that wasn't not look dignified. It wasn't the best one for you to finish on, but you are screaming laughing for the whole thing. God is hilarious which is amazing. It's hilarious. You can see you can see Camillle and Joel go into competitive physical Big boy mode. Definitely when they're bning in those chairs. But Amy was amazing. She was like that straight For Amy's outf quickly I think she dress as an eighties businessman every day. Yes. It' a great look for her. But her outfits for every single episode Before we go on and be like, Oh my go, you look incredible. yeah. I mean, she was like she was looking really, really good. Y. But yeah, that last one. Yeah. I do think though that she was really giving like brother in law You know Co at the wedding. Do doing Coke at the wedding sleeping with the bridesmaid. Armando and Amy got three points for this. Camlee got the four points but it was Joel, of course That was That was a bit of him. Itouse was a bit of him. He had eventually found a bit of him It was all physical. He was't walking up steps, but he was thrusting on a chair and he could do. That's the sort of thing Joel will do backstage at a gig. He'll be like, we've got these office chairs, let's have a race. Yes. This final episode, Amy in the bottom with twelve points Kamle, fifteen points, you get the sixteen points, Joanna Amanda gets the twenty points and Joe Wins an episode with twenty three points a very good win for Joel But he is still in the bottom of the series one hundred and fifty points. Amy on one hundred and fifty five, we were saying very surrised. I couldn't been Be she's doing so well in the series. she's been in the lead. She's been out in front with you for quite a lot. And she won quite a few episodes as well. D't she twenty tw yeah Camle on one hundred and sixty points. Amando somehow in second with one hundred and sixty one points And you take home the victory with one hundred and sixty five points. Oh my God. talked about your reaction to that. huge, huge Oh it was so exciting. you know at the end when me and Armanda were together. And you know, it was really nice because we've been teammates. Yeah. Andmand I think that's how he knew that he wasn't going to win the series because how how? Because you're on a team together. so youve got the same points for those and he knew that you were ahead most of the way I feel like I'd know even not good with the numbers. So I think he came when he came in to do this, we obviously weren't talking about that on the podcast, but he was like, I knew. I could't have won because you know, we were on the same points for the team stuff and she was so ahead on the individual stuff. I didn't even know that. I thought no, he's really like, you know come into his own and he's like really powering ahead. And then I just thought, o my god it's between me and him And he is Amando Ayanuji. and he's so damn clever. Yeah. I just thought, no, no, he's got this one I don't think he minded.uch an adorable man absolutely gorgeous And I just loved it that he was my teammate And we work so well together There was one thing that really the only thing right I would think that I thought about afterwards that really, really got to me was on the task in Hampton Court Palace, right? And it was the tennis one. And it was my very, very, very last task. It was boiling hot. We were playing tennis and I'd not really thought about a plan and I just thought I'm just going to hammer all of the balls And then I thought as soon aslex hits the ballls to me, I'm just going to knock ' them all out. And then I had clocked All you've got to do is like get the buacket and pull the balls over But I remember thinking, oh my god, you did it too early because right from the very beginning, I tip him over straight away so I give Alex enough time So like knock them all back. Yeah. And if I was going back, there's only one task I'd ever changeed. If I was going back, I would say to Alex, how long have we got? And I would leave it until twenty seconds to go. I W wouldn't even bother hitting the round you know disc thing. I'd give myself twenty seconds and I would let him hit the blueballs, I'd knock ' them all out. and then I would run around holding the bucket, I would put the bucket down, and then I wouldn't be clued up enough like Ormando and just hit the gong. I thought I would have stood there and I would have gone If you come near me, I'll fight you and I would have just waved my racket and I would have gone stay away, stay away and if' have dared to come up, I thought I would haveinned to the ground and would have just held him. Well, that's what you wanted to do. Well yeah so I did Yeah. So that you fulfilled your fantanasy And that's the only thing I would have changed. Well there we go. Thankk you so much, Joanna. You are a worthy champion. pasure. Enjoy your time as the Taskmaster champion. You have to do a lot for charity and there's the big tour on the open top bus of course. Good go, how long away is that? You don't currently know any of your fellow competitors on the tr first one in this lineup. so And you know what, right? I think that my competitiveness will start to come out on that because isn't that's like a different breed, isn't it? Yeah. Because for the ones who've won They're all gonna to be like they're going to be competitive too. I'm going to have to take them try and take them down.
