In this video I'm joined by the big man Bakar, currently sat at 741st in the world to preview Double Game Week 36. Bakar, it's a huge week, the last double of the season. There are some gains to be made, but I'm interested to see how big you're gonna go on this double. First of all, how are you doing? And how was last week? You got a huge green arrow last week. of two places. Hello, Jacques. Thanks for having me. Hello and welcome to all the listeners and viewers. Uh yes, last week was uh was an okay one for me. I I got lucky with the fact that I kept uh Sinessi. I I was close to going for Gabriel but ultimately decided against it. Um and and that proved to be the difference between uh a big red and what turned out to be a marginal green. So Sinesi was my hero. He saved my game week from being an absolute disaster. And I think I will probably take it given the fact that I did not have any Arsenal going into the previous week. So I think that and the fact that Jau Pedro at the end salvaged It was looking like uh a bit of a disaster from my Chelsea assets, ultimately played uh a good part in salvaging The game week. Yeah, you've got to be pretty happy when when Palmer misses a penalty. No one else really does too much apart from a Cinessi. also keep a cleet as well, and their ownership is is high. Yeah, you still come away with a Small green arrow, but a green arrow nonetheless. Which means you can um you can attack. This week, if you want to. So What are your thoughts overall? Before we delve into your team, what are your thoughts overall? on Game Eight thirty six. I think this is uh by far the biggest game week left between now and the end of the season. I think it is gonna be quite transfer heavy in terms of the usage of transfers. I think Over the course of the season I've heard time and again that why are you saving your transfers? Why are you playing this passively? Why are you stacking up these free transfers? Well, I think this might be the week where I use pretty much all of them, if not. At least at least a significant majority. So this is where I see a lot of swings happening. For example, the city palace double is taking place. We also have a clear fixture swing for Arsenal. And we now sort of know which teams and players to target between now and the end of the season. And obviously with not much time left between now and and the end of the season this sort of looks to be the right time to pull the plug and go heavy on transfers. So I think for the significant majority of people who are watching this video This will be a transfer heavy week. Okay, that's exciting. Not just in game eight thirty six, but in thirty seven and thirty eight, of course. As well. All right, Bakar. Your team's on screen. You have five free transfers, right? Because you rode last week. I have four free drones. Oh, you have four, sorry. Yeah. I I actually I sold Enzo to Bruno Fernandez. I mean that's a move that you conveniently did forget about because I forgot. I forgot that, yeah. Yeah. And and right I I don't blame you for it. I I don't blame you for it because everyone has Bruno, so Oh. So yeah, I was basically reversing the transfer that I made to uh double up on fifteen doublers uh back on the bench books in Gaming thirty three. So I got in Brone Fernandes Ranzo last week. So now I have four free transfers. Okay, so with four free transfers, your team is on screen right now. Um a game eight rating of eighty six percent is actually quite low because you don't have any palace players, I think is the main reason. Why that's low. I mean if I look at Crystal Palace players here on the right, and have a look at predictive points. You can see like La Croix eight point six, Munyoz eight point three. These are big numbers. But the problem with palace players Is the Their minutes are are tough to predict. And then afterwards they have Brentford away and Arsenal at home. when they're probably gonna be mainly focused on that. that Conference League final if they do make it, and they are huge favourites to make it, it's worth saying. So let's start with Palace Players. What are you thinking? Yeah, so I think I echo your thoughts when it comes to Palace Players. I Generally I'm quite a sucker for double game weakers as uh you've uh known to see me over the past few seasons, but Given what's at stake, I think Pallas are completely done with the league. Uh their focus is on Europe, like you say Their minutes are all up in the air. Um if anyone saw that uh game against Bournemouth, I have I don't remember Palace playing that terribly in a in a long, long time. So clearly their focus is is elsewhere. And the fact that uh Give me thirty seven and thirty eight, like you say, thirty seven is a way to Brentford and thirty eight is its home to Arsenal. And that even that Arsenal picture is gonna be just days before the Conference final if they end up making it. So I I just see uh A lot of uh issues with heavy investment in palace. So I think currently my thoughts are to cap the palace investment to one at best. Okay. And I I think for if anyone has five free transcers, maybe he can push to two, but I I really don't like the idea of going really big on Palace. I think for people with three or fewer free trances, I think even swerving palace is completely fine. Because We saw last week what really threw me off is the fact that Glasner was making subs at half time. Now that is something that I did not expect. And it means that Oh. He is Probably either replicate that in a similar way or rest players for the run and and he was in in his uh interview he was quite upfront and honest about the fact that the the league is not that important, which was a bit refreshing to see from a Premier League manager, 'cause the managers don't often be as honest and transparent in their interview. which just goes to show that uh you know minutes are completely up in the air. So I think Henderson and LaCroix are the only two that I am personally considering. And I think even for people with five free transfers maybe going for these two is probably the max that I'd cap to. Okay, so that means no so. I think he's the one that people had had for sure marked out as the the one that you could go for on the double out of all the palace attackers. You're not keen. Oh, not keen at all because we've seen in recent weeks that there's the trend where SAR is getting rotated with Brandon Johnson and Moteta's getting rotated with uh Stryan Larson. So The attack is an absolute no go for me. Especially because their minutes this week are in doubt. And then obviously like we mentioned thirty seven and thirty eight are gonna be next to useless for many palace assets as well. So if you want any use from the palace guys, just make sure that they play both games in this double. And I think in terms of the security of minutes, I think Henderson is probably the first because Naturally it's very unlikely that goalkeepers tend to get rotated and I think secondly From all the outfielders, La Croix seems to have the most robustness in terms of minutes because he has played pretty much all minutes. uh for Pilas over the course of the season. So if you're going for an outfielder probably go Laquo, but generally I think Henderson is The best. Okay, and last l last question on Palace before we move on to city players. If you had Three palace players already, for example. Or you know, if you wildcarded with the the view to getting up to three palace players. Would you Change your mind at this stage, or would you sort of stick with what you have? Would you stick with the original plan, which was to to probably get to three palace players in this week, or do you think you have to reassess now? I think it depends on each individual team. I think if there's nothing else wrong with the team and if there are a few free transfers obviously maybe you can go for a But I do think it's a it's a bit luxury. Not just because of minutes as well, Jack, because I mentioned minutes, we mentioned uh thirty seven, thirty eight being poor fixtures. One of the fixtures even in this double K we gity away. That's very tough, even if any anyone ends up playing, right? I mean I'm I'm really struggling to see the upside personally. We we also we saw the rotation with with Forest against Chelsea and those half time subs again. Villa as well. Like these teams aren't has focused on on the league. As they Well, uh not as they should be, as they as they normally would be, because they have they have more important games. So it it's yeah, I think overall it's it's It's tough because usually you see one double, you're like, Okay, let's try and get Six players from the doubling teams. Exactly. But you're You're speaking to a guy who crippled up on Watford and Norwich and whatnot back in the day, right? Dennis and King and all those guys all. Do you remember Dennis? Yeah, in the comments. So Uh uh but it it's just that you know, the fact that Palace has little to play for. I mean I may get one Palestrayer best, but even if I get let's say Henderson or La Croix I'm doing it with uh With the assumption that they won't be keeping a single clean sheet in this game, but Okay. Wow. Okay. Let's move on to Crystal Uh onto um Man City players with Down with Crystal Palace players. Now. few weeks ago I'd have thought this wouldn't really be that much of a discussion because it's you know, a lot of us had three city players anyway, and it looked like O'Reilly, Simonio and Haaland were the obvious picks. for this double. Now I think O'Reilly and Haaland still still are pretty obvious. I mean maybe maybe you disagree with that. Sameny, though, is the one that I want to talk about because his performances recently have not been as good. He's Getting subbed early. And there are other options, perhaps, in the likes of Cherky for sure. Doku maybe as well, who are outperforming him. So what do you think about city players overall, but Semenyo especially? I think Harland and O'Reilly are completely fine and there is owned by the significant majority of managers. So I don't think there's any reason to sell or swap them around. Semenio is an interesting one, and I think my patience with Smenio has run out, if I'm being honest. I tweeted this last night as well, that for anyone who picked some menu on the game we thirty two wildcard, and I believe he was a very popular pick on the game we two wildcard. He's he has c code. Nine points in four games um since the game he created to Wildcard. In that same period Cherke scored twenty eight points. Well and he was a he was an absolute lock on that wild card as well. Like when we talked about maybe you could go elsewhere, but he was he was a lot. For me, it's like I think for most managers it was a lock on that walk. Exactly. Now his role seems to change as well in the fact that he's playing very wide. He's not getting into central positions like he was let's say two or three months ago when he was in this run of form where he was playing practically alongside Holland as a second striker. So that's just not the case. If anyone's seen Cimen in recent weeks, he's clearly Hogging the the showing that sort of goal thread that we've seen. Also his minutes have nose dived. Whereas Turkey's farm is uh is Insane, really. He's close to being one of the best players in the league at the moment. So especially when City are going for goal difference, I don't see Churchy being sub at any point. I honestly think. He's probably gonna play ninety minutes in the next three games each. So when he's one point six million cheaper, even though it is a transfer that I've s I've thought of as being th sideways over recent weeks, I think that there's enough concrete and substantial evidence now to suggest that There is enough juice in that transfer to warrant making it. And I don't think it is a sideways transfer with the information we have available right now, especially that one point six million price difference between them. Or I think it may be one point five. He rose last night. Yeah. Yeah, he rose last night. So Even considering that into account, one point five million. I think that allows and opens up so many moves. So for example for people like Um Like many others and myself, for example, getting Gabrielle this week for people who already sold at a higher price, seven point two million, would be easier. Also the fact that a lot of people would want to stack up on uh arsenal assets versus Burnley, for example Saka, for example You know, frice, white, saliba. So if anyone wants to triple up on Arsenal versus Bundy, I think getting in Cherokee for the menu is very important because those funds that you free up will go a long way in helping you enable triple arsenal against Burnley, which I feel is gonna be pretty important given at how the Premier League is is shaping up. Yeah, I completely agree with that. Um anything on on Doku? You know, he he obviously scored too fantastic last night as well. I I quite like Doku as well for people who want to go differently. But I think that Cherkey plays closer to goal and it's funny because Jo because Docus just scored twice last night, but I think that Turkey's playing in a s in a position where His returns are more sustainable. So I think I would rather go with Turkey as of now. Yeah, that's a good point. I also think his minutes are are are better because like depending on game state, Doku could be soft, whereas I just don't say World War Shirk is missing minutes at this point. He he looked very fit as well. He was still extremely active at the end of the game. I noticed that Cover Church, for example, was completely knackered. West Turkey was still getting on the ball. Looked looked sharp. in the ninety eighth, whatever it went to minute, um, which is is is good for his minutes. I agree on that. Uh any other city players that Potential options, you know, gaze. Decently owned. thirty three percent ownership across the entire game. Obviously made that that big error. What would you do with him if you had him? Is he is he okay to keep? I don't think I'd be swapping them around at this point. Okay. I think Gay is fine. Okay. Let's leave Man City there. We'll come to The triple captain question at the end of the video or near the end of the video. Um when we talk about your captaincy. Arsenal players. You have none of them. What are your thoughts on Arsenal now? I think that it's It's time to bring them in. Basically. I avoided them last week because Bournemouth had a equally tempting fixture. But I just think that Arsenal against West Ham Arsenal do well and I I don't see enough logic to swerve Arsenal looking at my team. So for example, currently in my team I have Spoy who's playing Spurs away, I have Sinesi who's playing Fulham away. I'll also be playing one off Calvert Lewen or Zhao Petro. And you know, if I don't get any arsenal I'll probably be playing Palmer as well. So I think I want to get one Arsenal At least what I'm actually looking at two. And I'm looking at both Gabriel and Saka. I think I mentioned that I want them for Burley next week. So if I want them next week, I might as well bring in uh bring them in this week, especially at a point where as I mentioned, My starting eleven is looking Let's say a bit weak. And I think that I could improve them uh improve it quite significantly by bringing in some oxal acids. That was the reason I brought Gabriel in in last week to be fair. I did think that the fixture was was slightly better than the Bournemouth fixture. I thought like it looked inevitable this week to bring Gabrielle in. So I mean he's he's the he's got the highest predictive points of any Arsenal player across the rest of the season. Saka is the interesting one because I think a lot depends on his minutes in this Atletico Madrid game. Which is is happen tonight at the time of recording. Um he he looked so good in that first half. on the weekend against Fulham, like he was just phenomenal. And he saw the difference between him and Madueke in the second half. And there's I think there's a reason why Arsenal did so well in the first half and th in the second half, even though they they'd won the game by that point was bit more laborious. Um Do you think, you know, I expect Saka to play the majority of the game, if not all the game against Atletico? You think if he got Say ninety minutes in that you'd be confident of a start against West Ham still? It's a good question. Um so as of now, I think I'm more Confident and set on Gabriel. As opposed to s to Sark. Gabriel mainly because he improves my defence a lot and because West Ham have actually can see the second highest number of goals from set pieces this season so Gabriel has a legit point of getting a a big haul this week. Now coming to Saka, it's Primarily because Lead? A good number of minutes against Fulham. He looked sharp and I think that Even if he starts tonight, I would think that Tuesday to Sunday because I'm also playing on Sunday. Tuesday to Sunday will be Enough of a turnaround for Saka to to rest and recover. And given the magnitude and gravity of the game that Arsenal have coming up against West Ham. I don't think that his minutes would be at risk. Yeah, I think he will start. No, that's a great point. The Tuesday to Sunday point is a great point 'cause you know, Wednesday to Saturday happens quite a lot. Thursday to Sunday happens a lot. Tuesday to Sunday is a big difference. That's a good point. It's a big difference. And given the magnitude of the game, right? I I just don't think that Arsenal can afford to be resting him because he's quite an upgrade on Metou K, but Um Also the fact that, you know, Palmer's look so bad. So pa you know, Palmer will be the makeway for for Saka. And I'm sure you know better than me as a Chelsea fan that Palmer's just not been on it. And at this point in time I'm I'm not even sure he's gonna be on penalties anymore, and the fact that in in thirty seven Um that that Spurs game is two two days off of the FA Cup final. So his minutes I'm not sure. And I want Saka for Burnley at home next week anyway. I would rather have Palm Saka for Burnley at home than Palmer for Spurs at home because Spurs are looking a bit better. Chelsea looking completely disjointed. And the that game is two days after the F final, three days after the final. So I mean I I uh for for all intents and purposes, I do like Saka and if I'm making that transfer next week I might as well do it this week when Palmer's playing away to Liverpool and when Saka has West Ham. That's the logic behind making that move right now. I'm not gonna say that I'm hundred percent set on doing it. But I think there's a There's a very good chance that I do it. Yeah. I think it makes too much sense not to do because if you look at Palmer right now, it's like what What is he even gonna do that's gonna really punish me. I don't think there's that much. I mean he's been poor for for quite a while really. And um yeah, his minutes I don't even think are a hundred percent secure, especially in that in that Tottenham game. I mean, you'd expect them to play, but who knows at the moment, who knows? And the league is completely gone. There's nothing to play for there really at all. Maybe like Europe, but I don't really think the club cares that much. I don't think the players care that much. So the the FA Cup final is the big one. I also think for anyone who's chasing Saka is going to be quite a credible differential captaincy option at home to Bernie in gaming thirty seven. I think he's the best captain option. I think he's the best captain option by Marlin that week. Yeah, I mean you could say that because Bruno is uh scheduled to play Forest at home. Forest have looked all right as well. Yeah to be honest. So Bruno against Forrest at home versus Saka at home to Burnley. I think that's gonna be a a week where You know, for example if you're close in a mini league, you can maybe afford to go different to your rival. depending on whatever choice he goes for. So yeah. So I want Saka to to cover the captain C in thirty seven as well, should I decide The only thing And and because I've I've been um quite The only sort of negative thing with Saka that I think Is the fact that his I don't think he will be on penalties because that that was the case early in the season. We're we've run ran with the assumption that he's on penalties, but Jocaras has been Scoring them. quite frequently in recent times and I I don't see a reason for that to change. So maybe he seem seems to have lost penalties. But I think that Irrespective of that he he still is a bit of an upgrade on Palmer at this point. Yeah. It's worth saying we're recording this on Tuesday lunchtime, so, you know, your plans can change. Especially with this this Arsenal Champions League game, injuries there obviously change things. But yeah, we'll compare what you' what you're thinking to the AI's recommended transfers. Yeah, so I think I'm thinking Sanesse De Gabriel. I'm thinking Palmer to Sak and I'm thinking Cherkey in for semen y I think those he transfers are Close to being I wouldn't say locked in, but uh quite close to being what I'm thinking right now. I think it's quite very likely that I go for Gabriel and Cherkey. And I think the the Saka trans is maybe the third in terms of my priority, but it's something that I will probably make as well. The one I'm really unsure of. Is about which palace I go for if at all, because there's a world where I can save into next week as well. But I do think that There are not too many opportunities like I mentioned between now and the end of the season because next week I can just get a third arsenal with my with my setup. That's gonna be fine. And my team will be relatively well set up for thirty seven and thirty eight. So maybe I can afford to use that fourth transfer on one palace player right now. Now that fourth palace player could be let's say Henderson or Lequa. Now I'm not sure whether I sell Strike to Lequa or whether I sell let's say one of my keepers to Henderson. So That's sort of what I'm trying to weigh up and I think What happens on Thursday is obviously gonna play a bit of a part in my thinking as well, depending on what happens in the conference uh league fixture for Palace. Interesting. What would you go for right now? If if I had to say are you gonna use that fourth transfer or not? It's stuff I Hypothetically speaking, I like keeping Verbergen at home to Wolves and getting La Croix, but I'm I'm I'm just not like hundred percent sure whether LaCroix is gonna start two games, so I'm slightly leaning towards Henderson because at least with Henderson, I know that he's gonna get two starts. So maybe you can go for Henderson over one of my keepers? But it's it's a close one. It's it's one that I I think that I I can change from now on the end of the deadline. Okay, so What would you do? Make a decision. Okay, So maybe maybe sell one of the keepers for for Henderson that's coming forth. I think uh Darl. Let's do that. And then let's see how that affects things. So it means your gaming rating goes up to a ninety two percent. This week. Um a lot more solid. Uh, the bench is the bench is good as well, 'cause you and I don't think you'd wanna necessarily play Hill away at Fulham. Um Now would you bench Calvert Lewin or Taverner? That's another question. Or Pascal Gross. I probably probably wouldn't bench him. Jal Pedro as well is one that you could bench away at Liverpool. Yeah, this is tricky. So I'll definitely play Tavanera. I think Fulham are on the beach. There's no way I benched Tavan Air this week, and obviously Cross is playing at home to Wolves. He's not gonna be bent. So I have to play one of John Petro or Calvert Lohan. Oh, that's easy. That's easy. Probably a capital one, I think. No. I play try, I play try all day. Really? Yeah. I just think Tottenham I guess is gonna win that game. Day? I think they're just I think they're in a good moment right now. And I think I think Liverpool defensively A bad I think Gerard Pedro is a much better player than than Calvert Lewin who like I mean, Calvert Lewin r I know he scored recently Not a great goal, and his open play goals are lacking. And drop edge might be on penalties. Anyway, you d sorry, it's your team and you're seven hundred rank, so let me show you shut up. Surely Enzo is on pens, right? Surely Enzo is on pens. Is it if he's on the pitch, yeah he he probably is. Yeah, I think I think you've probably You you've probably talked me into playing job and or cabalone because I'm so much better than him. I just I just didn't like the idea of playing a Chelsea attacker after what has happened this week. But yeah, I mean. Probably. I think yeah, playing I think playing job ed was actually better. So I think you've convinced me on that one. Okay. So maybe maybe play I can drop it or anyway that that to be fair that this isn't it. Jack, this is actually why this is this is actually why, hypothetically, I like the idea of getting Lequa because if it allows me to bench out better as well, get Lequa and allows me to play Wor Word broken. The only issue with getting Lequ is that I'm just not sure whether he plays twice. So if by Thursday we have enough clarity that Lequ is looking good for a minute. So let's say if Laqua gets subbed early or if Pallas have rap wrapped that game up early. I think I might go Laquois actually because that allows me to to keep Wordberg at home to Wolves. And it just um enables me to bench one of these Cool rubbish attackers, really. Yeah. I quite like that, to be honest. I think I I'm not sure whether Whether Luqu will play twice, I I just have the that doubt. Okay. Now. The moment of the video that you've all been waiting for, your recommended transfers per car. Darlo in in thirty seven. Not sure. So maybe it's maybe that's the reason it's done it. Anyway, not line 14. Leeds and Brighton are playing each other in that game. Yeah. Leeds are playing at home to Brighton. Leeds at home, I don't know. I think Maybe you go Brighton. It's it's it's close. Yeah, it's a it's it's a coin flip, right? Yeah, that's true. Now the other two moves are the interesting moves. Senesse to Le Croix, which you've just said that you wanna You would potentially do. And then it's Strouk to Canvo as well. So getting in triple palace defense. So going heavy on the DEF CONs, Canvo is great for DEF CONs. And it also means you're not selling some to Turkey. Yes, and it ignores Gabrielle as well, right? I just Oh my gosh, that's that's the main thing. No Gabrielle. Wow I didn't realise that. Yeah, no Gabrielle. Because your your defence doesn't need it. Yeah, I just don't like the uh The idea of uh Trusting the minutes enough. I I know why it's saying Canvo, it's because it's trusting the minutes, but I have zero trust uh in Glasnar at the moment when it comes to The minutes of the defense. So Yeah, I think That's something that I'll just overlook. And I honestly think that Gabriel's one game could come close to matching Somewhere like a Canvo anyway, so it's fine. I uh just probably just go Gabriel. So you're going you're going against the predicted points there, because the difference between Gabrielle and and Canvo, for example, is quite significant. this week. And Canvo has played like every game since coming into the team. You know, he played the last game. Uh, Richards was the one who had arrest. Yeah, I just don't think that Cam was gonna play like one eighty minutes in the double. I can see him getting sub at one you know, a tough time or getting a game off or something like that.
