The Jay Webber podcast is presented by Creative Planning Helping clients simplify their journey to financial wellness, onene personalized plan at a time The J. Webber Podcast is a production of IHart radio podcasts Good day. This is the J. Weber podcast. and today I want to challenge the claims that the doge effort was a massive bust. I also want to talk more about the socialist takeover of the Democrat Party, including that dark vision of America that their current Wonder boy, Zoron Mom Donnie gave us on the fourth But first, as we sit down to tape this podcast, Maine's abhorrent Democrat candidate for Senate, Graham Platner hasn't dropped out yet. I normally like to start with something lighter, but this twist is just too good not to lead off with. Graham Platner has now very credibly been accused of rape. And to be clear, he's already been accused of mistreating and assaulting some women in his past, but this is a very credible rape allegation. And so late yesterday, the Democrat Party leaders did a complete one hundred eighty, and they denounced and abandoned this guy and his candidacy after months of supporting him and wallowing through all sorts of other cpulents This wouldn't be such a big deal if every single top Democrat and socialist hadn't spent months promoting and campaigning for this guy and insisting he was wonderful. Bernie Sanders, AOC, Squats withith Unions, Liz Warren, all look like idiots because they were willing to overlook so much dirt in order to campaign for him and promote him. Here's an example from Liz Warren I'm here because Washington needs fighters and Graham Platner is the fighter we need I said to myself, That's my kind of man because that is a man who not only has the values But a man who believes in accountability. And we need a little accountability coming out of Washington right now She looks like an idiot now, but the guy who really looks like a complete fool is Ro Kanna. Kanna has been all over the media going to the wall defending Platner for weeks And then did an about face yesterday and withdrew his endorsement on social media. He looks like a flaming jackass, and no one deserves it more. But so do Bernie and AOC and squats with Unions. That clip you just heard from Warren was Warren campaigning for Graham Platinner after it had already been exposed that he had had dozens of extramarital affairs, had mistreated women, had slimy hookup accounts on social media, had very likely sent nude photos to kids on This was after he'd posted about having a porta potty masturbation fetish and posted that he hoped a purple heart recipient would die and had called all cops bastards and had referred to himself as a communist who hated America and had said he was hooked on psychedelics and had a Nazi tattoo. None of those were deal breakers for the main Democrat Party, the Democrat National Committee, or any of these individual Democrat lawmakers who endorsed and campaigned for them They willingly looked past all of that and insisted this was a great person to send to Washington to be in the U.S Senate What suddenly changed? It's actually not that his newest accuser is a very credible liberal, as you will hear Scott Jennings suggest in just a minute. What changed is Platinner had already started to slide in the polls and the most recent polls had him tied or losing to Susan Collins. That's what changed And then came word of yet another and a far more serious and detailed scandal. If he was already losing ground in the polls, this new scandal would do him in. and that is what led to yesterday's about face partarty wide. Trust me, that's the only reason the Democrats are abandoning Platinner now. And so far, I'm not seeing any other pundit really get this right. However, Scott Jennings over at CNN got as close as anyone on Anderson Cooper's show last night A different panelist claimed that the party had not vetted Platner before backing him. The one thing I disagree with is when she said that he hadn't been veted No, he had been veted. All of the things that have been stated. It was all out in the public And people like Roanna, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Tim Walls, the Bulwark, Pod Save America, all these people came together to overlook it all, to explain it all, to rationalize it all. He was veted. People knew all these things And a whole bunch of Democrats in Maine showed up and voted for him anyway and a bunch of donors from around the country send him money anyway I agree with Alyssa's question. What changed? Why are you bailing on Grand Platinner now? You already signed off on Nazi Tattoo. a self described communist, somebody who's had rape fantasies someomebody who has been on a social media platform known as a playground for predators and on and on and on and on and on And the difference between this accuser And the previous one is simply this She's a liberal. It's okay, I guess, for Democrats that their candidates assault Conservatives But he broke into someone's house and apparently, according to her, raped her. and because her politics are correct, they can now believe it All of this whole thing is disgusting, but to say that they hadn't veted him or that they didn't know about all this is totally false. They knew it and they signed up for it. and I don't know why They're backing away from this scumbag today when they had already signed off on all that. Jennings really nails it there, but doesn't mention the biggest factor in all of this. Platinner was already sliding in the polls. I want to emphasize again that all of these Democrats and their organizations would still be supporting this guy if he wasn't sliding in the polls Today's Democrats only care about winning. That's literally the only thing they care about, holding power. And so I think you know, I'm right when I say if Graham Platner was still leading in the polls as this newest scandal broke All of these same Democrats would be rushing to defend him again The fact that the people of Maine have determined he's a scumbag and are withdrawing their support in the polls is what's causing the party to abandon him now, not a rape scandal Heck, they'd just spin their way right through that if Platina was still up in the pollles And it speaks to how genuinely slimy and evil today's Democrat leaders are All right, let's give a shout out to our sponsor before we move along to the next topic. The speaker's statements are not an endorsement of the firm I'm going to start with the pylon that's occurring in the accompled media because the doge effort has officially come to an end, at least on paper. The great thing about President Trump and the mission that he's given his second term appointees is that this doge effort really isn't going to end even if the moniker goes away. But the story is, when Donald Trump and Elon Musk formed this effort to do an all of government audit of the federal government and find the waste fraud and abuse, they put an end date of it on july fourth, twenty twenty six. As Trump said at the time, it will be a great gift to the country on its two hundred fiftieth to have a more responsive and streamlined government. And it would be. We do actually have a slightly smaller and slightly more efficient government after this doge effort, but the left wants to emphasize that it didn't live up to its promises. Granted, I'll agree to that. It didn't. But I'll disagree on why What were its quote promises? Well, Elon Musk insisted that he could find two trillion dollars in cuts and he didn't The current figure being used is that Doge has led to a savings of about two hundred fifteen billion dollars or about one thousandteen hundred dollars per taxpayer. That's still a huge chunk I'll take it. two hundred fifteen billion dollars is not chump change, but the biggest reason Musk and Doge didn't accomplish that goal is not because they couldn't find more cost cutting. they did. It was because Congress, for the most part, didn't take Doge's advice and follow through on the cuts It's one thing to have Elon Musk and a group of talented outside auditors find a trillion dollars in potential savings and reforms. It was something quite different though, to get the Republican leaders in Congress to agree to follow the advice and make those cuts. For the most part, Republican leaders didn't even try. And any effort, of course, would have taken at least some cooperation by Democrats in the Senate to get over the filibuster, and they were never going to agree to cooperate. In fact, one of the other biggest reasons Doge failed to meet its promises is every single Democrat, lawmaker and activist group worked to stymy, stop and block the effort. They don't want streamlined, less wasteful, less fraudulent government. They are by and large the ones committing the fraud They move to block dozens of moves the Trump administration made to close or restructure government offices and fire staffers. They're all blocked by lawsuits. Those two reasons are the ones that I would cite as for why Doge didn't work as planned Congress didn't want to take the heat for making most of the cuts, and the Democrats and their activists fought every move every step of the way. But that doesn't mean the Doge effort was a bust, as virtually everyone in the media, really on both sides of the aisle, wants to characterize this. I don't know about you, but any effort that leads to two hundred fifteen billion dollars in savings, three hundred thousand useless federal employees terminated and leads to desperately needed updates to our social security and federal databases, drags hundreds of antiquated government systems into the modern era, leaves behind easier new ways to conduct audits in the future using that data and that software. I'm going to call that a big win L the left and the other haters whine all they want, this effort made the first significant progress in my lifetime toward making the federal government more accountable and more efficient, and less fraudulent and wasteful President Trump gave his team a clear mandate, findind the waste fraud and abuse, and they're doing it weekly Weekly, we're getting reports from various agencies and administrations that more fraud has been found and eliminated here in this agency. More has been identified here in this agency. That's going to be targeted I've been talking about this on my podcast even if most members of the news media don't on either side Doge efforts have sort of morphed into or touched off the Vice President's fraud task force, which we've talked about, and it continues to do very good work Russ Voight, the president's budget director, said that they will not be quote, closing the books or issuing a final report on Doge in the coming weeks because the effort continues. You know, the Democrats and the Trump haters want to see some final official report, some final stats on Doge that prove this was a big bust. This is a big waste of time. All Trump and Musk did is drive a lot of institutional knowledge out of the door etcetera, etcetera Bull plop. No effort that finds this much fraud and waste and sets up newer, easier ways to find it in the future is a waste of time or effort No effort that updates our massive government databases so there's less opportunity for fraud, fewer loopholes in it, and new ways to cheat is not a waste of time and effort I'll also defend the value of simply shaking up these governmental agencies and institutions after two hundred years of expansion and drift I'd suggest we need regular audits and more opportunities to keep our federal employees and agency heads on their toes, not fewer also leads to more responsiveness and less bloat and fraud The fact that Trump and Musk could eliminate three hundred thousand positions in our federal government and not of the average American feel or see any difference in how the government runs should tell the average taxpayer everything they need to know And the other part of the Doge effort that is going completely unnoticed and unreported is the task that they were given to reduce federal regulations. This is really something. The Trump team said this week that as things stand, the overall Doge effort is leading them to cutting one hundred twenty nine regulations for every new rule that they're putting in place Just consider that stat because I think you know, very few presidents have ever vowed to cut the red tape and overall burden and costs of federal regulation. There've been hollow promises that never led to anything. And the few presidents that say they will tackle it normally come up with a vow to quote, cut two existing rules for every new rule they put in place. The ratio is two to one That's a vow that Donald Trump made during his first term, you'll remember. And the final ratio was a whopping eight E regulations eliminated for any new rule that was put in place in the first Trump era. Now in term two, the Trump team is attacking this federal hyper reggulation to the point that they've erased one hundred and twenty nine regulations for every one they've put in place That's amazing stupendous Magnificent sensational Unheard of. That's simply glorious news to anyone who calls him or herself a fiscal conservative or anyone who's in favor of smaller government How does that stat not get reported nationally I think you know how, a highly dishonest news media asked for his assessment on how successful Doge was, Elon Musk labeled it somewhat successful, but he said he wouldn't do it again He said all the venom and the hate and the nastiness, all the burning of Teslas and attacks on him and his companies, All the nastiness that was focused on him for trying to do the right and responsible thing was something he never thought he'd have to endure and so he wouldn't do it again think that that it wasn't the intention of the Democrats and their activist thug leftft squad as they do these sorts of things. Of course they were going to scorch and ruin Elon Musk so that no one of his power or public stature would ever want to do the same sort of thing again As it is, all sorts of their generational gryiffs and scams were discovered and stripped away, right? Because of Musk's effort? The last thing the Democrats and leftists want is a regular diet of government audits that expose their never ending scams and set up systems in which they aren't allowed to do them. No, no, no, the destruction of Elon Musk's reputation had to had to be a big part of the left's reaction to capable people coming in from the private sector to do government audits. Yeah So I'm glad to see the effort to root out fraud, waste, abuse, and democrat cheating schemes is going to continue at least through the Trump era Let's hope we can get another four to eight years of Republican control under people like JD Vance or Marco Rubio, who are going to keep it going because if we have twelve years of White House leadership that makes it a priority to change the corrupt culture of how our federal agencies are run It might just change some things for the future Next item, and this isn't being reported as much either How the Republican leaders in Congress have decided that they really just aren't all that interested in renewing the one year ban on any federal tax dollars going to plananned parenthood Remember this fight, this great move about a year ago As part of the big, beautiful bill, these lawmakers in Congress agreed with Donald Trump and killed off any federal funding to planlannedarenthood. They wanted to do it permanently or at least for a decade, and the parliamentarian in the Senate wouldn't allow them, but they managed to do it for a year. The federal funding of abortions was already illegal, but Planed Parenthood had developed a system of billing Medicaid for hundreds of millions of dollars each year for other quote, female medical services. The final figure was eight hundred million dollars per year of our federal tax dollars going to Planned Parenthood We conservatives and prolifers had been arguing forever, lookook, money is fungible, meaning if Planned Parenthood got all sorts of federal tax money for, quote, other services, well they could simply use that money to keep their baby killing operation going. And sure enough We were proved right immediately when Planned Parenthood closed dozens and dozens of offices nationwide in twenty twenty five because they lost this federal funding A big beautiful bill took effect in July of twenty twenty five, and over thirty Plned Parenthood clinics screamed, We can't murder anymore. And they closed their doors But wait, if they were providing all sorts of other important services, why close your doors It exposed the truth of Planned Parenthood. All that really matters to them is the abortions, the killing Well, fast forward a year, and conservatives and pro life groups are furious at Mike Johnson and John Thoe in the Republican Cucuses in Congress because they put no priority on extending this ban on sending tax dollars to Plned Parenthood These Republican leaders prioritize spending on the military and immigration instead. And those are very worthy and important goals and needs, of course. Yeah, I don't fault them for that. But over the last few weeks, more and more pro life groups are getting organized, and they've been shelling their congressman with emails and letters. Are you going to continue this very good policy of keeping taxpayer money away from the abortionists or not, they're asking So expect Johnson, and Thun and Trump to come under new pressures. Some of the biggest pro life voices are already starting to threaten. They're saying, hey, we intend to spend tens of millions of dollars in the fall elections. So are you hearing us or not? Are you going to satisfy us or not? Do you want to support or not? And that's not really in question because last year, these same Republican leaders and most of the rank and file members in Congress pushed to put a multiyear or even lifetime ban on such funding into that big beautiful bill, but the Senate parliamentarian said it couldn't be included. She forced them to scale it back to just a single year. and so that's what they passed. They passed what they could at the time So how do we handle it this time is the obvious question for Republican Congressman and President Trump. someome want a third reconciliation bill and this be included in part of it. But the third reconciliation bill was always unlikely, and neither Johnson nor Thom seem too enthused about it. I know Mike Johnson's sort of hinting that this third reconciliation bill is coming, but we'll see The good news is, even though this ban has expired, it doesn't mean that Planned Parenthood can flip a switch and restore all eight hundred million dollars in federal funding and start reopening dozens of clinics. That's the good news. The bad news is, they could start to do so over time if this money doesn't get blocked again They'll get back into the swing of billing Medicaid for other quote female health services pretty quickly, I'd think And so we're going to have to track this issue over time, and it's bound to become a bigger issue soon And I think it's stuff like this that can add value to my podcast. You know a twice a week podcast means I'm losing some immediacy and can't talk about breaking news as it happens like I used to on the radio. But I can still twice a week give you better insights and analysis than about ninety five percent of conservative talkers and podcasters. And I can give you an early heads up on what's coming down the pike. stuff like this things insiders are talking about In a moment, I'm going to revisit Zoran Mamani's hateful and insulting speech on july fourth, because I feel like I have some perspective and some insights that are worth airing there. And then we'll feather that together with the socialist takeover of the Democrat Party and why average voters shouldn't even begin to fall for this dangerous balologoney. That's coming up News Talk eleven thirty WISN He's proud to present the J Weber Podcast. J. Weber draws from his thirty five year career in radio news and commentary to craft an insightful look at the major stories and impactful issues from around Wisconsin, the nation, and the world. And after you've enjoyed the J Weber podcast We invite you to go to your radio or go online and listen to NewsTalk eleven thirty WISN, Wisconsin's Most Listen to radio station. I want to spend a few minutes revisiting Zoron Mam Dani's Fth of July speech for a few reasons. First, because so few Americans probably heard it secondecond because it was so offensive in so many ways. and third because I knew immediately that the left wing news media was going to deep six any coverage of it so quickly. This attempt to spin America's founding and first principles in such a way that it would fit into some sort of socialist template that Mom Donni and his team were trying to pull off was so tone deaf that the moment I saw it, I knew this is not going to play well with the masses and every Lfty reporter and editor is going to know it. They're going to hear it in the tone. So instead of giving it wider coverage and or dwell on it for several days I knew any media coverage of it was going to be one and done and then never to be spoken of or written about again. It was that bad, that tone deaf. It came off as that offensive to your average American as I posted on X afterward, if we had a fair and honest news media, every reporter would be running around for the next two weeks asking every Democrat and every Democratic candidate whether he or she agreed with Zorron's nonsense because that's what happens when some right wing nut job says something stupid. Every member of the leftist media seems to run around and use it as a litmus test for every other Republican candidate. It's the launching point for a whole new litmus test for the right But when someone on their side says something stupid or out of the mainstream, it gets the opposite treatment because the legacy news outlets are really just staffed with left wing activists pretending to be reporters If the Democrat's stupidity is too obvious to them, they'll hide it and protect the leftty who spouted it For example, have you ever heard or seen a major news outlet other than Fox replay or report on one of Kamala Harris's word salads or AOCs Have you ever seen a left wing news outlet report? Hey, Kamala Harris said some really stupid stuff today that no one can make sense of? Let's play it for you notot me. Have you ever seen a so called legacy media outlet do a story that amounted to, hey, AOC said some really stupid chisel today, and she's clearly never read a history book So I knew Zorran's speech would be quickly forgotten or ignored by the traditional media. First, the optics were terrible He chose to sit behind a famous desk that George Washington used. And it's a desk that actually has drawers on both sides, so two people could sit in it and work together. And I suppose that's the symbolism Mam Dani's team was going for Instead it just looked like the guy didn't know which side of the desk to sit on Then second, he surrounded himself with about ten newly minted US citizens. They'd just taken their oath of citizenship. Great, fantastic. But it looked like a Palestinian hostage video Honestly, most of them were Middle Eastern and the women were all he jobbed up. And to a person, they were all glum faced and dour and expressionlist. Not a single smile amongst them And each one had been given a small American flag to hold, but somehow it just made them look even more ridiculous. What are you celebrating with faces that are so glum Oics on this were horrible, as Zo Run Mom Donny went on to give one of the most cynical, cptacular visions of America that I've ever heard come out of a U.S. politician's mouth. And sure, he tried to couch his dour dark, horrible vision of America with a few more optimistic trappings But his descriptions of America were all bleak In his attempt to redefine America as a way to fit with some sort of socialist agenda that his side has, Mamdani mocked and misrepresented every part of the founding of this nation and any notion of American exceptionalism Listen to just a chunk of it and how he mischaracterizes our founders in the most extreme ways. You each hold a special power power to determine what America means. The powerful have always known their answer America, in their view is an arena of supremacy where only a select few are allowed freedom We're not all are created equal America, if you ask them. becomes less the more people it welcomes America, they will tell you belongs only to those with the right accent or the right shade of skin The rest of us they insist should be grateful for merely being allowed to visit An arena of supremacy. Yeah, yeahah, that was it. The founders who risked their lives, their wealth and all they had to break away from tyranny were really just rich guys who wanted to keep profiting off of others, didn't want to share their wealth with England What is he talking about The very act of signing the Declaration of Independence was the act of signing your death warrant if the colonials lost. Does Mom Donny understand that Clearly not. He and his lk clearly know nothing of American history or our founding principles. You literally cannot give a speech like this if you think the country was founded on white supremacy What a terrible smear This jackass went out of his way on Independence Day to portray America as a place that was inherently oppressive, founded on oppression when the last two hundred and fifty years proved him wrong in every way, in every regard, every day And yes, the founders chose not to tackle the issue of slavery and the terrible crime against nature of one human being owning another. But it was an issue even then that was dealt with within another generation or two by Americans. Slavery is the one great sin that America haters and the lefts have always wanted to point to as the reason that America isn't great or can't be great. And yet we are the only country on the globe who seems to have actually dealt with it officially and directly. Slavery existed in virtually every culture across the globe at the time. And if you check again, it still exists in the vast majority of second and third worldld countries. Slavery is not America's original sin It had been around for millennia before it was imported to these shores. Well and I was going to say enter this part of the world, but the truth is that slavery was already here. Most Indian tribes kidnapped members of other tribes and held them as slaves So this was just one part of Mamani's speech that amounted to little more than a leftist rage fantasy. Here's another sample As we mark two hundred and fifty years do we see We see a city of contradictions within a nation contradictions We see the wealthiest country in the history of the world One where children go to sleep hungry while the world's first trillionaire hungers for more We see monopolies that dominate every industry and oligarchs who buy elections We see masked agents terrorizing our streets. eating food cooked by our undocumented neighbors before spiriting them away and unmarked vance. What Malary It was pure nonsense and most of the reaction to it was stellar lay Travis quickly posted, a guy who just became an American citizen eight years ago sat at George Washington's desk and lectured us about what it means to be an American on our two hundred fiftieth birthday. That's how I felt. Don't come to this country as a privileged elitist foreigner and think you can tell the rest of us what an American is or what an American should be. And that's not xenophobia. If you're a wealthy foreigner and decide you want to come here in order to participate in the American dream and or the American experience, great. If you're coming here to contribute something or to raise your family here and you come in legally, great. Don't think that just a few short years later, you get to lecture us on what this country should be or try to twist its founding ideals for your own anti American and socialist motivations That's what Mum Donnie did He bashed Elon Musk in highly successful people as basically the filthy, stingy rich, only to have Elon summ up Mom Danni perfectly in a single line afterward posted on X, Mom Donny has built nothing. He's a taker, never a maker sumed up in a sentence. And anyone who supports Mom Donny or buys into this line of socialist BS that's currently in vogue among the ignorant members of the left should know better As constitutional scholar, Jonathan Turley said afterward, Zorron Momani offered a group of new citizens his dark view of Independence Day. Instead of rockets, reed glare or purple mountain Majesties, he described oligarchs who buy elections, children going sleep hungry, monopolies that dominate every industry, and of course, mask agents terrorizing our streets, eating food cooked by our undocumented neighbors before before spiriting them away in unmarked vans Yeah, those were direct quotes pulled from Mom Dni's speech A dill weed As another ex user put it The optics are incredible. A trust fund baby, failed musician who embraces a political philosophy that has killed hundreds of millions of people lectured the greatest country in the history of the world from its founder's desk and what it could be. This was a massive misstep. And as a polyci professor noted afterward What's so frustrating is that mayayor Mam Dni has an incredible story to tell. He and his family immigrated to America, achieved success, built wealth, and he became mayor of the nation's largest city because of the opportunities this country provides. Instead, every chance he gets this POS, this piece of crap denigrates America. If America were truly the oppressive nation he describes, his own story wouldn't have been possible His life is proof that the American dream is still real, yet he spends his time attacking the very country that made his success possible That is a great point. Zorran Mam Dani's family story is similar to many of ours. And it's just one more story out of millions and millions over time that prove the American dream and the American story are still as alive and as vibrant as they've ever been two hundred and fifty years later And rather than tell his story and his family story honestly, the tool's going pretend that this country was never a real land of opportunity and that the system that has made him so rich and successful needs to be scrapped in favor of a different one onene that can be tied to tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of deaths globally over the last century Only someone who has never put in an honest day's work in his life could think such a thing It isn't a mistake that today's young socialists all seem to have the same thing in common. They all come from privilege and have led sheltered lives as provided by their parents and grandparents, but now want to pretend that they have all the answers when it comes to life and everything else As one columnist put it, Mom Donnie's basically a Nppo baby who had wealthy parents and went to an expensive private school, whose work history could be described as light at best. He worked briefly as a foreclosure counselor for an advocacy organization. He was a rapper before he went into politics. It's sort of laughable for Am Danni to talk about callused hands given his work history, but it's symptomatic of the champagne socialists we've seen This columnist says Mom Donni isn't even worthy of mentioning Musk's name given all that Musk has achieved with all of his companies. He creates wealth, employs more than one hundred sixty thousand people, contributes things no one else can, like SpaceX and Neurolink And these young socialist knitwits are pushing ideas that have failed throughout history They're so young they can't imagine how stupid they sound to the average person who's lived on this earth for more than a few decades Socialism and communism kill. Every socialist and communist experiment ends the same way with enslaved masses yearning to breathe free, and with scarcity, misery, and death to all but a very small sliver of elites who are controlling things. That is the story of socialism and communism universally over time And so it's good to see President Trump and JD Vance addressing this as the creeping socialism expands again across the country And look, socialism and communism are both strands of the same basic ideology, but I do wish that President Trump was using the term socialism instead of communism Over the last week or so, ever since some of the new young socialists won primaries and are presenting a bigger threat to the Democrat Party and to the country, Trump has been using the term communist. and basically, they are. The stuff that AOC and Zoron Mam Danni promote often are communistic ideas like taking over private housing But they're calling themselves socialists and calling them communists only gives them an excuse to say, no or not and wiggle out of their extremism with more rhetorical ducking and dodging again. For two decades now, at least, I and others have been sounding the alarm bells and saying, look, they don't admit they're socialists because they need to trick the masses into thinking they're something different. So they're putting the Dmocratic in front of the socialists, but this is old school socialism. Well, now they're feeling their oats, they've won some primaries. They're starting to admit that they're socialists. They're openly calling themselves socialists. Now, a few of them are even openly saying we are not Democrats. We want to replace the Democrats. Great, let's make that stick. ram that label down their throats. Instead, Trump decides to use the term communism, probably because he thinks it draws a greater contrast. This is quibbling by me. I'd make them wear that socialist label in every way now that they're admitting they're socialists. Anyway, the content of Trump's speech in front of Mount Rushmore was great, including this. You can be loyal to Carl Markx or you can be loyal to America You can be a communist or you can be a patriot You cannot be both. as for those who Pedal Marxist lies about our heritage. You tellell our children that we live on stolen land or that our heroes were oppressors They're doing something much worse than slandering our past They are slandering and attacking our future. but we will never let that happen. Our American ancestors did not shed their blood at Concorde and Trenton, Gettysburg, and Shiloh. Midway in Normandy. justust so that a band of thieves, radicals and lunatics could come in and loot pillage our nation Our heroes die to win build and to save and to build truly a great country, the greatest country ever in the world. Both Trump and Vance made it clear in various speeches over the last few days that what Zoron and these other socialists are selling is the politics of envy and hatred as they attempt to bring about social upheaval They have no respect for law Justice, principle, tradition, or your God given rights It's an ideology of mass theft, mass control, mass lies, and mass murder. Such doctrines can be given no quarter in a democracy Because the first thing they do when they get into power is turn around and destroy it. It always is destroyed justust as communists have done in other countries all over the world, no matter where you look. Very simply communism represents the worst ideas and abuses in history by the worst people The American foundounding represents the best ideas and traditions in history by the best people. These young socialists might just be ignorant pawns that are being used, but those who control them really do want total control of our government that would allow them to basically enslave the citizenry, control every aspect of our lives, and that includes speech and the right to associate and freely assemble. That'd be gone Those are the rights that are taken away from the people first once socialists take charge. Just ask any Venezuelan or Cuban And so President Trump is right when he says socialism and communism pose a mortal threat to this country and are completely incompatible with the American dream But what might be the best response to Mom Danni's attempt to redefine America and tell us what it is comes from yet another poster on X. The handle from this guy is Robbie Hendrick. His account describes him as just a midwest apartment owner. So he's an average American in real estate apparently. But his response to Mom Donni was, I thought brilliant. Quote, let me tell you something Comrad is how he starts No American thinks we're exceptional because we are richer, stronger, and more powerful than everyone else. We're exceptional because we are American. It is our value system that built wealth, strength and power. It was the American values etched into the souls of generations of people in this country that built what we have today. thoseose values are something you clearly cannot understand, or you choose not to because they would require you building something of your own Our nation was founded by people who simply wanted a chance to build something for themselves. It wasn't about being richer than others. It wasn't about being more powerful than others. It wasn't about being stronger than others. It certainly wasn't built on what you proposeed, this hideous belief that you or anyone is somehow entitled to what other people built This is the antithesis of America Your ideas would have been laughed out of America two hundred and fifty years ago. You ran an entire mayoral campaign on seizing assets from others The sheer concept of expecting the government to force hardworking people to feed, house and fund other able bodied men and women would have been roundly ridiculed In fact, that's why people migrated to America. It was about freedom They fled the type of tyranny you are promoting, where their work was not theirs, where the fruits of their labor were were taken from them. They fled here not expecting a handout, but simply hoping for a chance to build something of their own, a chance to bet on themselves. That dream is still vibrantly alive today for those who choose to work hard and pursue it. You, of course, sell that it's not possible, that it's a zero sum game, that the success of one group must therefore be at the expense of another group, which is a disgusting lie disguised as promoting fairness. This guy concludes that's the opposite of our American value system. In America, we believe in abundance. We we believe in hard work, we believe in merit, We believe in earning things. We believe if you learn, work hard and do your best, doors will open. and they do every time Those beliefs are what made America exceptional, and that's why America continues to be the greatest country in the history of mankind, all despite men like you That is a stupendous response by an average American to Zorron Mam Dani and the young socialists of this era who have no idea what they're talking about as they espouse socialism or insist that they know better than the nation's founders and numerous generations of Americans great and small who built this country It's far more elegant than what my response to Zorron Momani's speech was, which was FU slime big I'll pass that one al log instead. NewsTalk eleven thirty WISN He's proud to present the J Weber Podcast. J. Weber draws from his thirty five year career in radio news and commentary to craft an insightful look at the major stories and impactful issues from around Wisconsin, the nation, and the world. And after you've enjoyed the J Webber podcast We invite you to go to your radio or go online and listen to NewsTalk eleven thirty WISN, Wisconsin's Most Listen to radio station We've been talking about America's arrogant young leftists who all seem to have the same thing in common actually. They're heavily white, first of all, nearly eighty five percent white, but also they all come from privilege and sheltered lives. And when I say privilege, I don't mean the sort of people like AOC and Zoron Mom Dani, who literally have parents with billions or hundreds of millions of dollars I'm also including the really comfortable suburban kids around the country that we all know. kids who grew up with very comfortable lives and who've never experienced the real hardships that life can bring It's only people who are that sheltered and ignorant of how the world really works that could support socialism and communism They're all stepping up to be the voices of the masses when they have no idea what they're talking about. That's the single biggest feature of this group Another significant feature is there's a gullibility here with their agenda that doesn't just border on the ridiculous, but is ridiculous, supporting Muslim extremists and terrorist groups after they attacked and butchered Israelis because they have a line of BS that seems to fit with socialism, saying we shouldn't have cops or prisons, believing that legalized drug use would solve the drug problem rather than spread it This is really stupid stuff, which brings me to a piece of audio that I believe every single Wisconsin Kight needs to hear This is the leading candidate for governor on the Democrat side of the aisle, going through a laundry list of things she supports on a podcast with one of the most vile anti American members on social media today, Hassan Piker Some of you may have already seen or heard this, but it's very important that every voter hear from Francesca Hong directly, right from her own mouth, what she supports and a few notes first before I play it. First, it needs to be noted that Hassan Piker is a very well known America hater, Jew hater, woman hater, one of the most vile people in the political arena today. And instead of avoid him, Francesca Hong ran to do a podcast with him Piker calls himself a progressive influencer and a left wing commentator, but he's just a vile human being He has a history of making anti American, anti woman, anti Western, anti Semitic comments and has refused to apologize for any of them over time or show any actual growth as a human being Piker' so vile that most top Democrats want nothing to do with him and don't want him to be viewed as a member of their party This is actually similar to when David Duke, the Kansman, was calling himself a Republican The difference is, we all in unison on the right said, no, no, no, we don't want you in our party. We don't want David Duke in our party. He's not a Republican, and he's not a conservative. Most of today's Democrats and leftists are refusing to denounce Hassan Piker though. They're instead trying to get closer to him and use his influence And this is what Francesca Hong did recently puts the audio in more context as does this. I found this clip because it was proudly posted on social media by Hong's political party, the Democratic Socialists of America. And I think it's worth noting that this embarrassing blurb was so exciting to the leading socialists atop the DSA, they rushed to circulate it on social media What I'm saying is these socialists nationally and right here in Wisconsin are telling you who they are. belieelve them cast them aside You have good hearted well meeting Democrats in Wisconsin. I know you still exist. This is who is currently leading your primary polling. Now we're going to do rapid fire Super easy, super simple Um Rapifire, do you support repealing A ten Yes. Universal child carere. Yes. Free school meals. Yes. guuaranteed pay leave. Yes. abolishing Iice. Yes. a one year data center moratorium. Yes Breaking up a bigig A. Yes. Public grocery stores. Yes. Right to repair. Yes. Legalizing cannabis. Yes. oververturning Citizens United. Yes. A worker's Bill of rightights. Yes. A free Palestine. Yes One or two of those things might sound good to you, but that's really crackpotish stuff. And that's the most exciting candidate in the Democrat primary in Wisconsin? Good grief As I said earlier, these nitwits are pushing ideas that have failed throughout history, and they're so ignorant they can't imagine how stupid they sound to the average person Voters and the Democrat Party leaders at large must reject this dangerous nonsense. And I realized that I might sound like a crackpot to all sorts of younger people listening because your generation never had to stare socialism and communism in the face as we older generations did in the twentieth century. but read some history, Socialism and communism killed. Every socialist and communistic experiment ends the same way with enslaved masses, scarcity, misery, and death. But every socialist and communist experiment also starts the same way this way. with people who seem to be smart and good hearted and insightful, pushing really ignorant notions that just sound good ignorant notions that they clearly don't understand You can mindlessly call us all boomers if you want to. That seems to be the genuinely idiotic response you have when you hear anything you don't like. But those of us warning against this new spike in socialism aren't the crackpots here We're the voices of reason And by the way We're on both sides of the political aisle, at least for now As Zorron and AOC and these others are getting all the free media and attention, a class of longtime Democrats and more experienced people on the left are calling for their fellow Democrats to take this poisonous movement seriously Mark Penn and Andrew Stein are both lifelong Democrats and they had a good ophe this week Penn was a pollster and a close advisor to the Clintons. He strongly supported Barack Obama and his administration. Penn became a talking head and political commentator at some point, and he continued to walk in lockstep with the party right through the eight years of Obama as I remember it In my estimation, Penn didn't really start to criticize his own party until Joe Biden got into office and turned his administration over to the Bernie Bros and the far left wingers And so Penn has been more critical of his own party over the last several years as a more traditional liberal Democrat who sees it being lost to extremism Penn is a very credible voice, I think, when he says this, as he did in his op ed. He said America will be in serious trouble if Democrats fail to defend their party He said last month's election results in New York, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere are a nine hundred eleven call for the Democrat Party in America The advancement of Democratic socialists of America members to Congress, state legislatures, and local offices, often by beating Democratic incumbents, shows how broken the primary system is and how alienated young educated white voters in urban areas have become. Penn says the turnouts in New Yorks elections were well below anything that could be called representative of the community. Only eighteencent to twenty five percent of the registered Democrats voted in each of those closed primaries for the three contests In New York, this means that a good organizational effort can impose its will with less than fifteen percent of the party electorate Alexandria Ocaso Cortez, for example, won her first primary in twenty eighteen with fewer than seventeen thousand votes in a district of seven hundred fifteen thousand eligible voters says since these are overwhelmingly Democratic disticts, Republicans and independents don't count at all, and turnout, not viewpoint becomes the critical factor This revolution that we're seeing, he says, is not driven by the working class, but by the suburban professional class that's willing to support candidates who celebrate nine hundred and eleven, cheer the massacre of a thousand Israelian American kids, would defund the police, abolish prisons and private property in open borders. And so Penn says this wake up call requires action by Democrats at all levels. And he says, moderates alone can't defeat this movement Voter registration and turnout are nonprofit activities, and that means that mainstream politicians need new get out the vote organizations to mobilize the huge majority of voters who are sitting at home while these socialists and communists make their way into positions of power. And he just described how they're doing it. They're organizing these very low turnout elections and winning primaries when no one's really looking or participating Penn even suggests lawmakers, law enforcement agencies and journalists should investigate the DSA to see if it's being funded by foreign governments and interests. It is And Penn concludes, If these things don't happen, New York and other cities will decay further. More productive citizens will vote with their feet, vagrants and criminals will overtake more public spaces, social service costs will explode, and the schools will deteriorate further He correctly says Republicans may gain in the short run, but they aren't a factor in most major cities. So if mainstream Democrats don't retake their party, you may not recognize America the next time Democrats win a national election. I agree with that completely. And it's good to see that there are at least a sliver of steadier Democrat voices who are sounding the alarms over these socialists. But no, it's not many. And no, they aren't going to correct this until at least twenty twenty eight or beyond. It's going to take a series of losses at the ballot box with socialists going down in flames before the members of the Democrat Party are going to agree to pivot back toward the center And if the Democrat Party is ever going to move back toward the more reasonable middle, it's going to have to come from within the party itself. And hey, if Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom are already sidtling up to Zorron Mamani and these other hot socialists and trying to get their blessings and make them look cool too The Democrat Party primary in twenty twenty eight is not going to be full of candidates who want to restore the party platform back toward common sense Last podcast, I talked about how and why Joe Biden won the twenty twenty Democrat primary. He was the one candidate who ran as a more traditional liberal and as a more moderate candidate. Everyone else in that field of twenty five people basically ran as a socialist Even back then, as the primary heated up, everyone running wanted to be more like Bernie and AOC. Because Barack and Hillary had killed off liberalism and the Bernie Bros and the Socialist squad were the ones with the energy and momentum. AOC and her Socialist squad had just won office in twenty eighteen, right If you are around to see it, you know that the Democrat primary back in twenty twenty was two or three genuine socialists twenty Democrat lawmakers pretending to be socialists and Joe Biden. And his team tricked the country and won by claiming he was a moderate who could heal the divisions of the country and then agreed to be used by others on the left in what was the most extreme Democrat presidency yet in this country And in twenty twenty eight, the notion that the young socialists are the future of the party is still likely to be a strong one. And so trust me, nearly everyone running on the Democrat side of the aisle is going to support socialism and this idiotic laundry list of things the activist left believes If you doubt that, the news that Kamala Harris has been holding private meetings with Zorron Mom Donni and other influential DSA members should be all the evidence you need One thing you need to know is in twenty twenty four, the Democrat Socialist Party leaders did not like Kamala, and they didn't, primarily because she wasn't an open Jew hater In twenty twenty four The DSA rejected and criticized Kamala because she dared to agree with the Biden teeams party line that Israel is an ally, not an enemy Well, if you're going to be a socialist in America today, you have to hate the Jews and support Muslim terrorism Kamala didn't And so you wonder in these private meetings, is she making vows to Zoron and the other America haters that she'll denounce the Jews and promote Palestine in twenty twenty eight I've got to assume the answer is yes Is she agreeing to say that she's in favor of all of these other crackpot ideas from no cops to no ice and no borders to stealing from billionaires and stealing back control of the Supreme Court Again, I've got to assume the answer is yes Axios reported Kamala Harris private called New York City mayayor Z Oran Mom Donnie last week and has been holding lengthy closed door meetings with other prominent progressives, including pro Palestine activists And look, I stand by my prediction that Kamala Harris will not be the twenty twenty eight Democrat nominee. virtually no one atop the party nor in its grassroots wants to see Kamala leading their party again They know she's basically an idiot. She's damaged good. She's proven that she doesn't have the smarts or the political skills to trick the voters. And when slicker and more popular socialists like Roana and AOC are around, the DSA is not going to put their weight and credibility behind Kamala. Come on But the fact that she's going begging is the interesting part here Unlike Hillary in twenty sixteen, Kamala Harris didn't win the popular vote. She has no credible claim when it comes to saying that she could beat Donald Trump. She lost the electoral vote in a modern landslide and lost the popular vote by seven million votes. seven million And if all she has going for is her skin color and her sex, well, Rokan is a lovely shade of brown and AOC has a Hispanic last name and is a woman still looks pretty hot in fact to most guys. Kamala doesn't But even so, it might end up being the fact that Kamala didn't reflexively hate Jews enough when her party's activist class demanded she needed to that's going to keep her from generating any grassroots excitement in twenty twenty eight That's interesting Imagine we are a third of the way into the twenty first century And we have a Democrat candidate for president that could be disqualified by her own party for not being enough of an anti Semite None of us could have seen that coming as recently as twenty ten or so But you can bet that that's going to be an important litmus test in the twenty twenty eight Democrat primary It already is in today's Democrat Party The mainstream news media didn't want to emphasize this, but the fact is all three of those house primaries in New York that were recently won by socialists All three of those races were heavily focused on which candidate hated Jews the most whether you quote, support Palestine or are quote, anti Zionist. It's already become a litmus test for most candidates running in blue areas. And frankly, in this moment in time How you answer that question is even more of a litmus test on the left than are you pro abortion And it's sad that this is where the Democrat Party finds itself after nearly two hundred and fifty years of existence And they are because they've allowed their party to increasingly be polluted by America haters and global left wing activist groups These same Democrats who want to raise the alarm bells now are the very same people who thought it would be a great idea to quietly turn our educational system over to the activist left. We are seeing polls this week that show people who call themselves Republicans are as patriotic as they've ever been They show that it's nearly the case when it comes to people who call themselves political independence. But when it comes to people who call themselves Democrats, wow the situation is grim According to the latest Tip poll, only fourteen percent of Democrats now say they're extremely proud to be an American. fourteen percent That number was fifty four percent in two thousand one That's quite a swing over just twenty five years, and a lot of it has to be attributed to the steady diet of America hating that our last few generations of young people were getting in school and especially at the universities as they grew up There's a research fellow at the American Enterprise Institute who used to teach for a living, Daniel Buck And he said at National Review this week, We must teach our children to love America again. They are, after all, the inheritors of this country's achievements and should know it It'll be up to them to maintain this great civilization of ours Buck wrote it's through education that a country introduces the next generation to its heroes, literature, music, arts, and ideals. America began this process early in its history, he notes, but an education promoting the prosperity and artistic achievements of America is no longer the norm History lessons cast our nation as the villain The end goal of our schools is not to develop young patriotic citizens, but revolutionaries who wish only to deconstruct the whole system And that pessimism creeps into national sentiment as well. He says this self loathing is a self evident problem. a society that doesn't believe in its own worth, and a people that loathe their own culture is a society and is a people that will not last. An America that seeks self destruction is, by definition, suicidal He says in response to self loathing, we needn't then adopt a completely polyanish view of our own history and culture, but we do have to give students something to feel pride in And when it comes to history class, the American schools can and should frame our past positively. That's not to say we're flawless, but that we're a fundamentally good country
