Terms apply, see optimum. com for details Hey there folks. It is Thursday, june twenty fifth and it was a shocking and now viral video of a woman simply stealing trash bin off the streets of Manhattan. First of all, why would anybody do that? Well, she had a really good reason And now she is out of a job. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. Rbe don't know how to feel about this one, but This is one of those cases of people making a split second decision, behaving badly, too excited. and here we are. Yes. This one is a tough one because yes, we if you haven't seen the video, it's very easy to find. a woman decked out in Nick gear, basically. She's got a full Nx outfit, but I think the worst part was just watching her dump a full bin that was painted orange and blue, Nicks colors along the Nick's parade, she dumps the entire contents of this trash out on the city street without even considering anything and just walks away with a bin. Okay, now they are, folks. Cool Vents What I'm going to say is they really did a good number and a good job here in New York It was last Thursday the parade of champions. Look, the Kicksn't won this thing in fifty three years. This city was ready to explode. It was a very fun day and the way they decorated, they changed street signs and one of the things they did Robes, they had these decorative, these special edition traspians that were blue and orange Not, it sounds minor But it added to the festivities. cool. I actually was so impressed. We weren't here. We were traveling abroad, but we watched and looked at all the videos. and it did look cool. We even see some remnants left behind. We were down Broadway just a few days ago. They still had lights that were orange and blue lighting up the buildings in Nicks colors. So yeah, the pride of the Ns was on full display along the parade route. And can you blame and I ask this actually with all sincerity, can you blame someone for wanting to take a little piece of history with you And there it is. And we'll give our take on this later. and we don't not exactly sure how to feel about this, but It is, Rogues. The city was calledught up in such a way that I mean, the likes of which we haven't seen in our lifetimes, because nothing like this has happened in our lifetimes. And Robes, yes, there were out there were arrests afterwards, there were little, like we say, what was the title of our episode after that? We won the championship. Now let's break shit, right It's just Yes everyverybody just excited. This video is taken. And if you haven't seen, let's let's describe and Rhodes, this is a woman. You say decked out. This is more than just wearing a Nicks t shirt and jersey. She was head Toe And a jur to the point she even had a hat on the hat like fake braids to make it look like she was Jayen Brunson. I'm saying the woman was she is hardcore, a real true Nicks fan, no doubt about it. So the video picks up and Robes You can't if she was being being in court and this was the evidence against her. You can't argue against it. This is the perfectly framed video and it shows everything she's doing. Yeah, there was a woman who just happened to be taking a video and she basically looks right at the woman, clearly recording her and just continues about her business, just it takes all of five seconds, dumps just casually all the contents like she's done this before. I mean, it really did seem like that. It wasn't looking around or trying to do something sneakily mes. She was just on the middle of the street, broad daylight says I want this trash can, looks at the straight at the camera and dumps out the contents and walks away with. I'm not a fan of people even throwing a napkin onto a city street? S A cigarette butt, a cup Just littering is one of those things. Rhodes is a pet peeve, it's rude, it's just It's I don't know. it says something about you if you can do that. So that's just a separate thing. So the idea trash of seeing a New York City trash bin, which are some of the nastiest things. you don't know what's in that thing. So it's full and to see somebody robes Okay And again, it's made with kind of what was it mesh or netting? it's metal, but you can see what's in the content. Oh she knew it was c. Ggusting. Oh yeah. and when she dumped it out, I couldn't even believe like just all the L, she lives here, I would assume. She's a New Yorker. Yeah. I think that's what disturbs me more than anything. Look, we see people throw things and usually it's young stupid kids or it's people who don't live here because you don't do that to your street. You don't do that to your neighborhood. You don't leave behind just disgusting trash for someone else to pick up so you can take what you want. That is entitlement, that is really frankly, like that type of behavior. for me it's less about the trash can And it's more about what she left behind. It you know what, I think that part, the dumping of the trash onto the street guess is the more offensive thing maybe says more about her than her taking the trash bin. If the bin was there and empty, I bet a bunch of people would have picked that thing up and tried to take off with it. That's bad enough.. That's bad enough. Robes, it is shocking to see somebody do that. I also feel like go buy your own mesh trash can, get inspo from what the New York Kicks did their trash cans and make your own trash cans. H a little DIYY project for yourself. this one was a part of the parade. I want this one. Yeah, where's she putting that massive trash can? L she must have a lot of garbage that she wants to proudly display. Maybe she has a room in the basement, a whole Nix basem. People have been very mean online about what they say she could have done with that trash can. It's mean and it's part of it manyany people are making point of how she looks. They're making fun of it's clear the woman is overweight. There's no other way to say about it, but yes, folks have attacked her. and wr it has been incredibly ugly. Me Ugly is a better word than me U And this thing right now, I'm looking what? it has twelve million views. I mean, so everyone is looking at this video and a lot thousands of people are commenting and most of them are really they're cruel, they're ugly. They are. But I also understand that A lot of people are pointing out to the fact that she just littered all this trash onto the street. I actually see more people upset about that which I totally get. than they are about her taking this trash can. If she had taken had stole if we had a video of her stealing a trash can, someome of the response, if it was empty Some of the responses would have been, damnit Hate I wasn't there. Right? Like, W, I would have grabbed it too. It It is something about that that is so mean and so Rves to see her dump the That's almost unconscionable rees agreeot a person not making a judgment on this woman. We don't know her, but the video robes, when you see it, it's that thing. likeike who would do it? I saw a later how timees I should bring it up because I don't know if it's AI. The one of her looks like she's on a train. I haven't se one. I didn't go through and see if it was inc confirm, it's what it was, but it was her sitting on a Nework City subway. with the trash can. Yeah. D like leaning over comfortable yeah. She was not embarrassed. She wasn't shy. She wasnt running hiding, She wasn't running. She didn't look as if she knew she was doing something wrong. She looked as if she was entitled to do exactly what she was doing and this was just normal. Now you kept saying, who would do this kind of thing? What kind of a person this type of thing, that is what makes this story all the more shocking because this is a woman who was an executive with a very prestigious banking institution here in this city. This I don't know if it should make a difference, R. It does, though. I don't know if it does. Well, it makes a difference to them, apparently. does because I think it speaks to our expectations, we expect a certain type of person to be capable of that, someone who doesn't care about the world, someone who doesn't care about their surroundings, someone who doesn't give a damn about other people. When you talk about an executive with JP Morgan Chase That is shocking She should know better She's forty years old. P. There is there are sixth graders at Our children know better. Middle school that know not to do what this woman did. So she was identified fairly soon afterwards. and I wasn't sure I'm like, really, they maybe they got no way. When I heard, I said, no way. But Angie Baz is the name. She's forty years old and her official title with the company used to be exxecutive Director of commommunity and industry Engagement. and JP Morgan Chase does confirm that she is no longer with the company. Now a lot of headlines saying she was fired. We don't know that for sure, mayaybe just personnel reasons, but she's not there anymore. Rves to JP Morgan Chase. That's correct. And people have done some dives onto her employment history, know that she's held positions with other esteemed organizations. She's worked in the DEI area of some positions. and so there are Fox News, I will just say, New York Post, someome of them are going A on the fact that she had a position where she's supposed to be promoting tolerance equity and just dealing with people and acknowledging how people live and exist around one another and to be able to then have that kind of a position, that kind of a role And then to do what she did on the city streets, it's hard to reconcile those two things., you could have told me she was anything. You could have told me she was a teacher. You could have told me she worked a food truck in Central Park. You could have told me she did anything. And I would have been shocked by this behavior. It's just it just is. Now I know a name like JP Morgan Jayays, what is she supposed to be? She She's not above being a super fan She's notve making a mistake. She's not above this moment. I try and I know people do and they jump to conclusions because the first time y'all met Angie Biaz was when you saw her dumping trash onto a city street. Crect. This is not all this woman is. obbviously, I'm sure she's what I hope. She has made some positive contributions out there. I just you can't help it, Rose when these things get going like this And I just can't imagine what that woman is going through. I hate it but I don't think the punishment she's getting right now fits the don't think the level of hatred that's coming towards her, I don't feel that maybe whatever struggle finding another job, whatever struggle losing a job It doesn't fit the crime. The crime is awful as hell. I think she's been fined for it and you can't steal city property. sureure this is just this is one. I I hate that it's happening to it but she brought on herself. That is very true. and the fact that it's all on video you know, if this was a still, if this was maybe obscured slightly, but the fact that you see her You see what she is doing and how she's doing it and unfortunately for her, what she looks like doing it. peopleeople are just she is basically just become a target of hatred. And I agree. She does deserve that. She has she's in the thick of it. Now the sanitation department did put out a pretty funny statement concerning what happened and what we all saw. And look, I'm glad they added a little levity to the situation, but the sanitation department we don't know. ussually get a chance to interact with them and hear their sense of humor But they made a good point in their statement, saying first, we would reiterate previous comments that dumping trash onto the street and stealing public property for your own personal use are both illegal anti social behaviors and not what New Yorkers do top of all that doing both on camera is incredibly stupid It is Somebody's filming you doing that, you don't stop You don'tike You don't think, oh, yikes, I'm getting caught. Even after dumped it. You look at the camera and go Yeah, you got me. let me pick all this stuff up and put it back. And going would have been a different situation. Might have kept a job, but rope to react that way like, I don't give butt. R? Who sees me was it's strange. If I threw a, which by the way, like I said, littering to me is one of the worst offenses, but I can't even imagine throwing like whatever, I don't know gum rapper or nappping on the city street and someone's videoing me, you're gonna run and pick it up and go, I'm so sorry that fell out of my hands. whatever. But dump an entire trash can in front of a camera. Now I did appreciate the fact that she returned the bin and then the sanitation department went back onto X and said, weelcome back, we missed you and put a picture of the trash can. And I thought that was cute That was cute. It was really well done by our sanitation department who are daily heroes in this damn city. And I have no idea how they handle all the trash in this city. They're awesome by the way. if you ever watch New Year's Eve you' ever watch the aftermath of New Year's Eve after that ball drops and you see them all dancing to New York, New York with kicking up their legs like the Rockettets with their brooms and their They keep this city running. Our hats are continuing Yes to those men and women who do a difficult job, but a very one of the most important jobs in this city. You Rbes over the years I've had interactions with a lot of city workers of some kind with different departments I have had great interactions with guys who work those same trucks. How is that possible? They have. Traffic cops, I've had issues with them. Regular cops. Some of those interactions didn goes are great. All kinds of stuff, probes. MTA workers. It could go either way. But that we don't get enough It opportunity to give adds to the sanitation deepartment. So really, really well done. But with all this and the debate and the back and forth, it seems pretty clear, at least online, how people feel about this woman, what she did and what should have happened to her. But stay here. We are talking about A woman who was caught red handed or orange handed, whatever you want to say, forty year old Angw Baz caught on camera, didn't seem to bother her. She clearly knew she was being recorded, dumping all the trash out of a Ns themed trash can so she could take it home with her as a souvenir from the historic parade of the Ns NBA Championship The problem is yes, she was easily and quickly identified and it appears she was quickly and swiftly terminated from her position as an executive at JP Morgan Chase. She is no longer employed, that is the official word from the bank, but a lot of folks are reporting that, yes. that video is the reason why why she no longer has a job. Well sure she might have resigned after all the thing may pressured to do so. But the bottom line is of it all, assume Right We can argue all day long ropes that that we We had an amicable split with ABC, but at the end of the day. kind of a thing.
