Reading the Epstein Files - Virginia Giuffre's Testimony Pt. 2Jun 27, 2026 — starts at 0:00

Okay , we are live. Happy Friday evening everybody . My name is Ellie Leonard. If you've never been here before , I participated in the filibuster at the Trump Execin Reading Room with a lot of really amazing people that I was honored to be in a room with , including survivors and journalists and you know various, people who really are working hard to put a spotlight on these files in order to obtain justice for the survivors. So in the continuation of that, I have been reading the files on my substack and YouTube pages , just we hear about the files a lot, but sometimes what's in them is very mysterious , mysterious , obviously very redacted , and very relevant. So for example, today , I believe it was today, yes, Leon Black was interviewed by the House Oversight Committee. This was not under oath. It was not considered a deposition . But because he was not willing to answer anything that was under an NDA, which protects him from everything , they served him with a subpoena and he now has to come back and speak under oath . So I mean , you know, no love loss for Leon Black, Liam Black is a slime ball. He is your typical Epstein cohort billionaire sexual abuser has an MO for biting . I am going to start reading today, but before I do , I want you to look up in the corner and you will see a little QR code in the corner . And that QR code for today, I'm trying to pick a different one every time we do this, but that will take you to the sexual violence center that serves the greater Minneapolis area and that is a donation link and I'll read you their vision and mission, but they said to achieve our vision . So they say sexual violence center's vision is that no one is impacted by sexual violence , no one who is impacted by sexual violence will navigate alone that sexual violence does not discriminate . And so in order to achieve that, they've made it their mission to support people impacted by sexual violence through crisis intervention, case management, outreach, education and system change . And so they provide resources and help and therapy and anything somebody might need who is either a victim of sexual violence or an advocate for somebody else. So we did a t shirt drive a while ago for them. I really love that center. I think they're doing great work . But if you would prefer to do something more local in your community, which I always recommend Google, you know, sexual violence, awareness and resources in your community and see if there are places that you can donate your money. If you have a little extra at the end of the month to give , they greatly needed and are generally all nonprofits and surviving on very very low pay. So I included this for this reading. I included the Minneapolis Sexual Violence Center , but if you have one closer to home that you would prefer to help out at, then by all means go for it. Okay , today we're going to be continuing on reading Virginia Geoffrey's testimony from her civil lawsuit with Galley Maxwell. So it's Jeffrey versus Maxwell, Maxwell. The case number for this, if you want to look it up, and I will also link it in the notes is one Coleman one five CV zero seven four three three LAP. It is also in the DOJ files. It was filed september twenty first, twenty fifteen. This deposition is from twenty sixteen . And it is basically Virginia Geoffrey is suing Glene Maxwell for defaming her character, saying that she lied about everything she accused Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell of and so this is prior to the criminal trial with Glene Maxwell . This is just a civil trial. In the end , it was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount. So I am going to bring this up and let's see what we're going to do here. We are going to go like this. There we go . Okay , so we are starting down in the lower left hand corner, which is technically p age sixty six . They just came back from a recess , which they do every hour. So that's kind of how we are following it is we're going hour by hour . But yeah, that's where we're gonna start. So Ms. Manager is the lawyer who is questioning Virginia Frey. She is the lawyer who represents Glaine Maxwell. So the videographer says, we are back on the record. Miss Manager says, All right, mister Frey , you testified that you first became aware that you, your employment at Marlago began in two thousand in mid twenty fifteen, correct? So she testified that in mid twenty fifteen . I will tell you ahead of time. Anytime I say like object, object to form, anything like that, that's going to be Brad Edwards, who is Virginia Duke Ray's lawyer, but that way I'm not saying his name over and over again. So object to form mischaracterizes her testimony . I don't know exactly when. It would be toward the end of twenty fifteen. It could be towards the beginning of twenty sixteen. I just know that I've learned about it recently. I'm not too sure exactly what date I did learn about it . Okay , but to your mind, it's been within the last six to twelve months. Is that fair? I wouldn't say twelve months, no. I would say up until I don't know when I was shown that when I actually first saw it, but it wasn't a year ago . Saw your employment records from Marlago ? Correct. Okay, I'm going to show you an exhibit marked as Defendant's exhibit thirteen . Okay, all right, miss Jufrey, do you recognize this document ? Yes, I do. What is this document? This is a resume that I created myself. All rightright, and what address did you put at the top of the resume? Redacted . And when did you live at that address? I believe from twenty thirteen to twenty fourteen. Okay , you said you created this document , correct? Yes . And did you send it out to any employers ? Do you have any attachments that this goes with to say that I have? Because I'm not too sure. I've created a lot of resumes . Okay and hold on, I'll see if we do. All right , I'll mark this next as defendants exhibit fourteen . Thank you . All right, do you recognize this document? Yes. What is this document ? This is me replying to ads for jobs . Okay, and you were communicating with via email, correct? Yes . All right, and I apologize. This one actually has the resume attached to an email . Uhhuh . Do you see that toward the back of the document? Yes, I do. Okay , so sorry, says Virginia Chuprevor To whom to whom with whom were you communicating about a job at this time ? Well, at the very top, Phil or Gary , and that was for a bartending position. Okay , says Virginia . The lawyer says was that something your brother had commended sorry recommended or your father . I don't know who . You know, I just looked at that. That's kind of why I giggled. I don't know why my brother, that's my brother. That's the way we talk to each other. Hi, stupid head. Good luck, smelly, exo , exo, exo, sissy . He's my little brother. So you have to understand, we kind of play around , but subject to my resume for hospitality , I'm not sure why we would have gotten it, but apparently he did . Okay . And you see that your resume was attached to an email communication you had with your brother? Yes I do . Right. And that's also your brother was and that's also your brother part of the email chain with respect to an ad placed on Craigslist for the position, correct? He was on let me just check the dates then . Sure fourteen, one twenty one . So just within a day of each other, yes . All right . And then the resume that's attached is the address you were living at in January ? Yes, of twenty fourteen , correct? Correct . All right, so you believe you created a resume that's attached to defendants exhibit fourteen. Correct ? Correct . And you sent it out with respect to this employment you saw on Craigslist, correct? Correct . And you are the one who put into this document the contents of the resume, right? Yes . Alright . Brad Adwards says we're talking about the resume that's attached to exhibit fourteen, right? We are. Okay, got it. The miss manager says, Thank you for clarifying. Brad Edwards says got it . Alright, I don't know there are any differences with defendants exhibit thirteen , but just to be safe , you believe the one attached to Defense exhibit fourteen is the one that you sent There are differences, isn't there? Yes , there is . Okay, what are the differences that you know ? It starts I mean let me see . The very top introduction is the same after the experience that changes, the dates change. And then underneath employment training recruitment is Indigo Barn Grow on exhibit fourteen . On exhibit thirteen, it's Manway logistics under employment training recruitment. And then underneath man with logistics on exhibit thirteen is Marlago Resort and Spa. And on exhibit fourteen is Gemma Catering Wedding Receptions. So there's quite a few differences . The lawyer says, Okay, great, do you have any idea when you sent out Defendant's exhibit thirteen or if you did to an employer ? Unless you have something that's attached to it, I can't be sure that I did . Okay , is the content in Defendants ex'hibit fourteen that you you believe sent out to an employer. Correct ? Sorry, is the content in Defendant's exhibit fourteen that you believe you sent out to an employer? Correct ? Unfortunately, I have to I have to tell you that they are not correct . Through my experience, I was in the mindset that I was unemployable . I had been abused for many years and I was told by a job agency that I needed to show that I had consistently worked at various places and given experience . So it's not something that I'm proud of, but I have had to plump up my resume to make it look as though I could be employed. What do you mean by plump up your resume ? Well, I couldn't I didn't feel that I could go to an employer and tell them that I had held, you know, one job in the last ten to twelve years and before that I was trafficked for the purpose of sex . And that's definitely something you don't want to put down on your resume , which makes you quite highly unemployable. So I did add places in such as the Indigo Bar and Grill, Call Me a Flamenco Barn restaurant . Wait, wait, which one on exhibit fourteen ? Mhm . And Virginia says underneath experience, the dates are all incorrect as well. It's just to show that I was consistently working, which I was not. And I needed a job to help my family. I've got a family of five. So like I said, it's not something proud that I had to do, but I felt it was the only way that I could actually get employed. You lied on your resume ? I made it look as though I had continuously worked throughout the years so that way an employer would see me as a potential candidate . Okay , well let's start with employment training and recruitment ET Australia . Did you work at that place of employment ? I did work there. What days did you actually work there ? I know I finished working for we call it ET Australia. So if you want if you don't mind me abbreviating it however you want , I know I finished there in January of two thousand six right before my son was born. My first son was born . I And believe I worked there for over a year . I believe so. It might have been a little over a year, but just around a year . All right, so you worked at a place for about a year and on your resume, you typed that you worked there for nine years correct, ? Correct . And you did that, correct ? I did . Nobody else typed that for you ? No, I did it myself . All right . And the next employment you list here, well, is your job description accurate? Yes, that's actually accurate. Okay , and everything in there is what you actually did ? Yes, for ET Australia . Okay Indigo Barn Grow. Did you type that in? I did type that. And did you actually work for Indigo Bar and Grow? No, I did not . All right, so the dates that you put on your resume are not true, corre ct? That's correct . The title of your job of that place was not correct. You did not work there, right? I never worked there. The description that you typed out about the things you did at the Indigo Barn Grill is made up, correct? Well, it's generally what you would do if you were a server or waitress, but like I said, I did not work at the Indigo Barn Grill . So when you represented to an employ er that you were applying for a job, that you had done these things, you had not actually done these things at the Indigo Bar and Grill, correct? Not at the Indigo Bar and Grill, no . Alright . Can you read the first sentence of your job description for Indigo Bar and Grow? Right . At this restaurant located inside of an RSL, we were never slow . Okay, so when you said we were never slow , you just made that up, correct? Edward's form . I tried to give as much information to my potential employer to show that I could handle a large amount of pressure and guess. So yes, I put that in there. But you represented that you were working as a server or waitress and that you were never slow and that we were never slow. That is not correct. That's not true, correct? Well, I never worked there. So it's again, I was very highly unemployable given my past. So I did whatever I could to make it look as though my potential employer could hire me . Okay , you described your duties that were not those were fictional duties, correct? They were duties that a waitress and a server would do , but you did not do at the Indigo Bar , but I did not do them at the Indigo Bar and Grow. Okay , you described your energetic service and your service with a smile to the guests. That was not true. Correct Everything in Indigo Bar and Gro is not correct And you created that entire description correct for the sole purpose of being able to obtain employment? Yes . To get money for other words , to make a wage for my family . All right . The next job, gemma catering and wedding receptions, did it? Is that a job you actually held? I did actually work there. I don't know the dates, but I was a server, waitress and bartender. March of two thousand three to april two thousand four, is that about when you worked there ? It would be very close to it. I'm not too sure . You're not sure ? No, I'm not sure Do you have children? Did you have children? Had you already had children at the time you worked there? No, I do not believe I did. I became a stay at home mom when I had my first child And what year was that ? two thousand six ? Okay , so you believe you worked at Gemma Catering and Wedding receptions before two thousand six I believe so . And other than that you can't recall what dates you worked there. I'm sorry, I couldn't help. No . All right , and then what were your actual is that your actual job that you had there ? The description of it? The title, server, waitress, bartender . Yes . All right, is the description accurate ? To a tee . What's that? To a tee . Okay , the next job you list is Manway Logistics logistics receptionist . Is that a job you actually held? It is a job I held . And when did you hold it? Again, I'm very bad at dates. I'm not too sure . All right approximately when did you have it ? I don't want to speculate and give you the wrong answer, so I'm not too sure Did you have children at the time you worked there? No . So before two thousand six , yes . And after you moved to Australia , which was what year I moved to Australia at the end of two thousand two, I believe . All right , do you recall going to work shortly after you got to Australia? Yes . How? And Virginia cuts her off. I had to obtain my ability to work there. So I think that took a couple months. You can get a temporary visa that allows you to work while you're waiting for your permanent resident status. And that's what we did. All right, were you able to apply for that temporary job permission before you actually got married in Australia . I got married in Australia. We were married in Thailand, really, but we made it official in January of two thousand three. And within a couple weeks I was granted the permission to work in Australia legally . Okay so to the best of your recollection, you got permission to work in Australia sometime in the spring of two thousand three . Form at Edwards . That's actually summer over there . Fair enough. First quarter of the year, calendar year , yes, two thousand three . If we're going to be politically correct, yes . That's what you recall , indicating. I'm sorry, yes . And is your description of manway logistics correct? Yes . All right, and how long did you work there? I think that was less than a year that I worked there. I would approximate about six, seven months . Can you name one coworker you had or boss or anybody else that worked there ? I know her name started with an M but I can't remember . I remember what she looks like. I just don't remember her name . Okay , and how much did you make there ? I don't remember the exact amount. Approximately about twenty dollars an hour I think and how many hours per week were you working for that six months to a year? I believe that was full time . And is full time the same in Australia ? Yeah, it's a forty hour week. Okay . Well, thirty eight because you get two hours of lunch, so yes , alright have you been in touch with anyone from that employment in a while ? No . Alright the next job listed there is ? Caumeo Famco Bar and restaurant . Is that some place you actually worked? No, it's not. Is that a place that actually exists ? I don't really know . Alright , I mean, I think I looked on the internet and found something similar to what the description I was needing to fill and that was it . Okay , so when you were creating this document in twenty thirteen or twenty fourteen, right? That's when you had you had the tightest vill address . Yes . All right , that should have been redacted by the way, I believe. All right, you went on the internet and you searched for a place that would be like the job you were looking for. Correct. And you found the name of an actual place, Calmo, Flamenco Bar and restaurant. Did I get that right ? I'm not one hundred percent on that, but I think so. okay, you did that in order to impress the employer you're applying for here in the email, correct? Correct . All right, and you did that in order to get money from a job that you hope to get from this employer in the email, corre ct? I was hoping to gain employment and not having much experience. I put that in there. I put in there that I had experience . Okay , and you said that you had been advised to plump up your resume by a job ag ency. Is that correct? Is that right? Yes . What was the name of that job agency ? Before I worked at ET Australia, I was actually a job seeker there and a job seeker. I don't know if you're familiar with the term , somebody who is looking for work and you go to the job agency and you go look on the computer and you actually have somebody who helps you find employment and they're the ones who recommend that you show that you've continuously worked throughout your years . They ended up really liking me so that's how I got the job there. Okay , was it a particular person there that gave you the advice to plump up your resume ? It would have been one of the counselors . Which one ? I don't know . Okay, do you remember the names of any of the counselors ? I don't remember the name of I only remember the name of one of the girls I worked with but I don't remember I don't remember anyone else's name . When did you first become a job seeker at ET Australia ? Well , if I finished there in two thousand six I worked there for approximately a year . It would have been two thousand five, late two thousand four, two thousand five. I'm not sure . Okay . So you were a job seeker there first, and then you got employment there, right? Yes. Okay , so the advice to plum up your resume was while you were seeking a job or while you were employed there while I was seeking a job. All right . And you were assigned a counselor ? Yes . One or more than one . It changes on a daily basis. There's somebody who comes into the office and they sit with you and they help you with your resume and then they help you get on the computer and look for open vacancies . So someone in a proxim ately two thousand five gave you the advice to plump up your resume. That's what you're saying to make it look like I've continuously worked. Yes , okay . So back to the Cameo Famenco Bar and restaurant , which is the place you found on the internet but did not actually work . Is that the dates for your employment there? December two thousand one to february two thousand three ? Not true, correct? Obviously, yes. At that time I was during two thousand one, I was with Jeffrey and Glain being trafficked . Ah . So you were not working at the Calmeo Flamenco bar. Obviously not , yes . And you said you got to Australia in late zero two and did not work there between late zero two and February of ' three, correct? I've never worked at the Commoflameco Barn Grill, period . All right , and the job description that you crafted there is also fictional, correct? Yes . All right . And Marlago Resort and Spa you put down as a place you'd work ed. Correct correct . And you typed in august two thousand to september two thousand one. Correct correct . And you created your job description there, correct? Correct . All right . And then turning to the last page, you have your education, correct? Can I just make a statement to say that again with the Marlago Resort and Spa, I did have to add dates to make it look as though I had continuously worked. So those, again, are incorrect dates . But it is a date that you typed into a resume in twenty thirteen or twenty fourteen . That is the date that if you would just let me finish my question , sure . That is the date that you typed in your resume in twenty four thirteen or twenty fourteen . Correct ? That is the date that I did type in, but those are incorrect dates . All right . And as well as the position, organizing, making and counseling appointments for massage therapists . All right ? I mean, I was their locker room attendant. I just wanted it to sound like I had more receptionist experience than I did . You wanted it to look like you had more experience than you had had, correct? That's what you just said correct. I mean, given that my past had not enabled me to be able to work for work or I wasn't able to put down what I actually had to do in my past, so I made it look as though I was able to be employed. You did not have the path that you thought the employer was looking for, right? I couldn't put down on there that I was sex trafficked for a couple years and did not have the experience to be able to apply for jobs and provide for my family. So this is something that I said. Again, I am not proud of what I felt was necessary to do to be able to gain employment. All right, so you were applying for a job at a restaurant, right? At this according in the fr theont front to email, yes . All right . And you did not put down Taco Bell on this resume, correct? No. The only jobs on there are ones that we have mentioned . Right. And so why did you choose August of two thousand as your start date for Marlago? It just looks as though I've given them a longstanding history of employment. You chose a month. Why did you choose that month? I chose months and dates for every single position on the resume. There is no specific reason why I chose that month. It was just purely to show that I was continuously employed . On the last page it, was some education which parts of that is untrue . Edwards objective form . I have received my business admin cert three from ET , Australia. I've never held responsible service of alcohol and gambling . Do you understand that to be licensed that to be a licensing of some sort sorry that again ? Do you understand that to be a licensing of some sort or a class? Or what do you understand that Virginia says, in Australia you have to have something called an RSA and RCG to be able to work as a waitress or bartender or anything? And I didn't know if it was the same out here in America, so I put down that I had . I had taken a CPR and first aid. I don't remember when, but it's not current. And I did go to Royal Palm Beach High School and I didn't put down a degree there or anything . So is it fair to say that you never worked as a waitress in Australia? Is that what you just said ? I did work as a waitress at Gemma Catering . Oh , okay . I don't believe that I needed my RSA to work there. I'm not too sure. All right, and if you could if I just'd ask you one more question about Gemma catering. In the last line of the job description, it says this job was a second job. I would work in the evenings and weekends for saving extra cash . What was it a second job too ? If my time period is right, it would be my second job to manway logistics because they were both Gemma Catering and Manway logistics were both in Sydney whereas ET Australia was on the central coast . All right, ET Australia is on the central coast. Correct . And Gemma and Manway are in Sydney In Sydney, yeah. All right, got it. Do you know if those two organizations still exist? Manway, I would definitely say it's a it's a large logistics company. I would say it still does exist. Gemma catering I'm not sure if that exists anymore or not Okay , alright so did you spend your sixteenth birthday with Galaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein ? No . I was sixteen when I met them now that I know the correct date, so I would have spent my seventeenth birthday with them. So when you represented that you spent your sixteenth birthday with Glaine, Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, that was not true. Correct At my ability at the time, that's what I believed to be true. It wasn't until I found the Marlago records dating the year two thousand me being born in nineteen eighty three that would make me turning seventeen that year . So please describe to me your seventeenth birthday that you claim to spent with Glene Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein . And I'm not sure what comes next, but trigger warning if there are folks who can't listen to any kind of abuse . I remember spending a birthday with them on Geoffrey Epstein's island called Little St. Jeff's. I wouldn't say it was a party. It was just Glaine, me, Jeffrey . I believe Emmy Taylor was there . I got some presents from them. Emory Taylor may be Emmy Taylor , who was another assistant who's a little bit obscure . What presents did you get? Glene gave me a whole bunch of makeup, like boxes of different kinds of eyeshadow and lipsticks and just makeup altogether. Geoffrey gave me a brace let and I think earrings . What kind of earrings? They were what I believe to be diamonds. I don't know exactly what they were. I think Jeffrey was talking about they could have been passed off as good knockoffs, but they appeared to be diamond s . Any other presents? I remember the makeup and the jewelry. I don't remember much else . And that was your seventeenth birthday, you said . Form Edwards . It's hard for me to really pinpoint exactly which birthday it was. So it could have been your eighteenth or nineteenth I don't want to lock down on which exact birthday it could have been without knowing . You don't know which birthday it was? Is that what you're saying ? The one that I'm specifically telling you about . Right, you don't know which one? No . Alright, do you remember spending more than one birthday with Jeffrey Evstein and Glaine Maxwell? Yes. Okay , tell me about the other ones you remember . Well , I know my nineteenth birthday. I can't remember really my eighteenth birthday, but my nineteenth birthday we celebrated early earlier than my actual birth date of , and that's when he surprised me with tickets to Thailand . What do you mean he surprised you with tickets to Thailand? He told me that the tickets for Thailand were for my birthday . Did he hand you something that looked like a ticket to Thailand? What do you mean He didn't hand me the tickets at that time, but he told me that he had booked me in for massage training at an Institute in Ch iang Mai . And he told you he had booked you tickets to a massage training in Chiang Mai, Thailand sometime before your actual nineteenth birthday . Form Did I get that right? Yes . Okay, did he hand you? Excuse me, says Virginia , hand you anything at that time ? No, I don't think so . And were you located? And where were you located when he told you about this Thailand massage training , Jeffrey Glain and I had just gone scuba, not scuba diving, not with the big tanks, but snorkeling with just the mask and the two piece and on Jeffrey's Island, by the way. And we had gone out for a while and we'd come back and he's got a pier where he's got a ladder and you climb up and we were wearing wet suits. So we were taking off our flippers and our wetsuits and all of our gear and they said they wanted to sit down and talk to me just the three of us. And first he told me about that if I could just stop you, I think I asked where you were, where were you? Oh, I'm sorry when you had this convers ation about the just the island . I'm just trying to describe the instance that he gave it to me . Oh, okay . It was on the island, on the pier, in the Caribbean . Okay , and it was some time before your nineteenth birthday? Correct . How much time before ? I don't know. A couple six weeks, a couple months, I don't know. Close to my birthday. It was my birthday present. That's what he told me. So you don't know when you had this conversation form . I mean, I know I didn't record the time and date, so I can only speculate it was shortly before my birthday but not my birthday. Okay. And he told you he had booked you tickets to go to Thailand, right Correct . All right. So you remember one birthday at which you received makeup, bracelets and earrings and one birthday at which you received tickets to Thailand . You remember any other birthdays that you spent with Jeffrey Epstein and or Galane Maxwell ? I'm sure there is, but I honestly can't remember what I did for my eighteenth birthday . Okay , well, I'm sorry. Did you know for sure that the bracelet, earrings and makeup were for your seventeenth birthday, or do you know ? I don't know . But you know they were not for your sixteenth birthday, right? Correct . All right, if I could have you go back to the defendant's exhibit one, I think Defendants sorry, exhibit one ? Uh huh, page nine, either at the bottom or in the upper right hand corner. Do you see that page? Page nine of twenty seven, yes . All right, and paragraph twenty three, do you see that paragraph? I see the paragraph . All right . I was going I was just going to read it over quickly . B ally means , pause . I've read it . And the sentence, defendant and Miss Maxwell acknowledged and celebrated plaintiff's sixteenth birthday is not a true statement, correct? Only upon learning about the fact that I just found out my records , I assumed at the time it was my sixteenth birthday, but now we know different . You admit, as you sit here to day, that defendant and misses Maxwell did not celebrate your sixteenth birthday with you, correct ? Correct, based upon the records Which you don't know Which you don't know when you saw . I know it was, you know, it wasn't it wasn't a year ago and it wasn't that long ago either. So I'm not sure I can't tell you the date that I actually saw them . Alright picture my way ahead, why not so far ahead ? And she says the lawyer says sorry Sydney. All right, last year you lived in Colorado for part of the year, correct? Part of the year, yes. And then you moved to Australia, correct? Yes. You did not live in Florida at any point in time during twenty fifteen, correct ? I believe I left Titusville at the end of twenty fourteen . Okay , so you did not live in Florida during twenty fifteen, correct? I believe so . All right , so when you reviewed these records sometime in twenty fifteen that caused you to know the real date of when you worked at Marlago, where were you physically located Edwards , object to the form and mischaracter iz testedim herony . I don't remember where I was where I saw these records when I saw these records. I know it wasn't a year ago. I know it was more recent . I can't pinpoint the date that I actually saw them, but I recently I believe I don't know. I don't want to sit here and speculate and then give you the wrong answer. It's just new knowledge for me. All right, did you receive the records by email ? believe so . Okay , did you use any email addresses other than redacted ? No . That's the only email address that you've used that's correct . And the Marlaga records that you reviewed you received by email at that email address ? Possibly . I mean, I can't say a hundred percent . I could have been told about them. I could have seen them on a piece of paper . I really don't know . This is a very hazy sub . All I know is that I found out and was able to clarify a lot of days for us . What okay, what other dates were clarified ? Edward says, I object and instruct the witness not to answer if any of your knowledge is based on any privileged communication that you had between yourself and any of the lawyers . So the lawyer says, Okay , you just said you reviewed the record yourself, correct? Edwards says object. That mischaracterizes her testimony. She actually just testified that she may have heard that . Miss Manager, no, you're not testifying. I've asked her, Edwards, I'm clearing the record up right now though . Manager, you can object based on form. That's a valid objection. You've made your record. She goes on, did you review records that clarify dates for you ? I either reviewed them or have been told them told about I can't remember. I'm sorry. I know now that the dates are what they are, but I don't remember . You don't know when you learned that the dates are what they are ? No, I don't. And your best guess is what? Objection . If any of your answers based on attorney client privilege, I'm instructing you not to answer . I can't answer then . Miss Manager says, Okay, so you have your attorney , so have your attorneys told you to change your dates Objection . Do not answer that question. This is a question intentionally devised to invade the attorney client privilege, she's not going to answer those questions . Miss Manager, you can answer a question about whether your attorney had told you to lie because that would be a crime and I'm sure I will , says Virginia , I'm sure you want to tell me that your attorneys did not tell you to lie, correct? I can tell you for a fact that my attorneys have never told me to lie . All right , and did your attorneys tell you to change the date? Objection. She's not answering any questions about communications between her lawyers and herself, period . Miss Manager, so if I could also direct your attention to the defendant's exhibit eight , it's the manuscript if you could turn to page forty . The videographer says, I have a quick request, counsel . Mr. Frey , would you mind bringing the mic higher up on your jacket, please? She says, sure, the videographer says, Thank you . Tell me if that's okay. Better Okay , page forty , the lawyer says right. Do you see the first full paragraph on that page? I do. The first line begins, I spent my sweet sixteenth birthday on his island in the Caribbean next to Little Saint James's Is le . He liked to call it little Saint Jeff's. His ego was enormous as his appetite for fornicating. Do you see that sentence? I do . That is not true, correct. You were not spending your sweet sixteenth birthday on Mittle Swink, James. I is that correct? Based on my knowledge at the time that I wrote this manuscript, I thought I did spend my sixteenth birthday there and so I put down it in there as that. I put it down in there as that. Now I know it wasn't my sixteenth birthday or your sweet sixteenth birthday Well objectiform harassing Miss Manager was, your swe itet sixteenth birthday ? Is it not custom to call your sixteenth birthday sweet? Have you not heard that saying before? Was it your sweet sixteenth birthday, Mr. Frey? As sweet, Mr. Edwards says she's answered the question . It's been asked and answered. Miss Manager, she asked me a question actually, you're not testifying here. Was it your sweet sixteenth birthday? As I thought in the manuscript when I wrote it, I thought it was my sweet sixteenth birthday. Okay , now that you know it wasn't, where did you spend your sweet sixteenth birthday? Well, I don't know . Well just give us your best guess. Edward's objection , she is not going to guess today. She's not going to tell you the answers. She's going to tell you the answers that she remembers them. If you remember the answer, please tell her the answer. I don't know the answer where I spent my sweet sixteenth birthday Do you know who were who you were with on your sweet sixteenth birthday? No, I don't. Do you know where you lived on your sweet sixteenth birthday? No, I don't. Were you living with your parents on your sweet sixteenth birthday ? I don't know. Were you living with Michael on your sweet sixteenth birthday? I don't know. I was a runaway a lot. I don't know where I lived at that time . Okay, were you working at Taco Bell on your sweet sixteenth birthday? I don't know. I don't think so, I don't know . Were you working at publics on your sweet sixteenth birthday? I don't know. You're working at an aviary on your sweet sixteenth birthday again, I don't know . You recall any present you actually got on your sweet sixteenth birthday No, I don't. I don't know where I spent it, who I spent it with or what I got. I'm sorry . How long did you work at Moralago? Best of my recollection, it was a summer job. I believe I started in June, and I think I only worked there approximately two weeks, two, three weeks . How many hours a week did you work? I want to say it was I want to say it was a full time job . Do you recall it being a full time job? It was a summer job, but just thinking back, my dad used to bring me in and bring me home. So he worked full time , he worked full time all day . And I didn't lounge around Mar Lago, so yes, I think it would have been a full time job . And how much did you make per hour? Approximately , I think I remember making nine dollars an hour . The bracelet and earrings you got for your birthday, some birthday on little or where was that birthday party at Little Saint James . Objective form . Where was it at Little Saint Jeff's ? Okay, where are those bracelets and earrings now? I left everything behind me when I went to Thailand . Where did you leave them exactly? I had a storage facility and my apartment that I lived in . So where were they in the storage facility or in the apartment? Most likely in the apartment. Okay, what apartment was that? Royal Palm Beach. I don't know the address, I'm sorry. You don't know the address at all? Not at all . Okay, where was it roughly located in Royal Palm Be ach? I don't know. It's been a long time since I've been back to Royal Palm. I don't remember the street names or anything . Did it have one or two bedrooms? It was a two bedroom . Was it on the first or second flo ? The second floor . Who lived there with you ? Michael first lived there with me. Michael and I broke up shortly after living there and Tony lived there with me . Okay , and that's the apartment that you left when you went to Thailand ? Yes . Did you live at more than one apartment with Michael ? When I was a runaway, he let me stay at his apartment . Was it that at a different apartment? Yes . All right, so you lived at Michael's apartment when you were a runaway ? Correct. And did you live anywhere else other than those two apartments with Michael? We stayed at Michael's parents' houses and I think for a few weeks before the apartment . Okay, the apartment that you rented ? The apartment that Mike go rented. I think I was too young to go on a lease . Well, alright . We'll come back to that in a minute. But the apartment that you left in two thousand two was the one in Royal Palm Beach that you lived at originally with Michael. Then after breaking up with Michael, Tony lived there. That's the one you were talking about . That's the one we're talking about? Correct . That's the apartment we're talking about That's not the one that okay sorry I'm confused. Could you please reask the question ? All right . I asked you where you left your bracelet or earrings , you think you oh okay, yes, left them in the apartment, correct? Okay, yes, yeah, not the one, not the first one. That's where Tony eventually moved into. That's the apartment you left the bracelet and earrings at? I believe so , yes. So when you were working at Marlago you rode with your father every day ? Yes. What car did he drive at that time? I don't know . Okay, did you have a vehicle of your own at that time? No . Did you have a driver's license at that time? Yes, I got my permit when I was fifteen and my driver's license when I was sixteen . Okay , and how were you paid by cash or check or some other method . I don't remember . Did you have a bank account at that time? I don't think I've ever had a bank account. Well, up until recently, living here, I don't remember having a bank account . So you believe you got paid by unknown means and you did not deposit it into a bank . Correct . What was your uniform when you worked there? Emarago? Right . It was a white mini skirt with a little white pol o top with the emblem of Marlago on it . Did they give you more than one ? I don't know, maybe . Did you wear it to and from work every day? Guess? Did you get new ones when you arrived that were clean or did you launder them at home? I would have had to wash them when I got home, I suppose . And you think you had more than one or you don't recall ? I don't recall . Alright, was that something you purchased or did they give it to you? They gave it to me And who else was wearing that uniform? The other locker, the lady that did the front desk next to the locker rooms, she had the same one? Yes Was that Audriana? I don't think Audriana wore a uniform. I think she was just dressed professional . Okay . And what other employees did you see there at the spot at the time when you worked there? There were well this is in the massage area and there was also like a fitness area. So there's spa and fitness. So there would be the Massus and then there would be the trainers and that was just located in that one area away from the main house and stuff . And is that the area in which you worked? Yes . In the spa area or the fitness area. In the spa and fitness area the spa and fitness area were in the same complex . Okay , what did the other people who worked in the spa area wear? I don't remember what they were . Alright , and what did the people in the fitness area wear? I don't remember. I know it was we had our own uniforms. Everyone else had their own . Who is we ? Well, the girls who worked in the meat and greed area. Me and the other girl with the curly hair I told you about Mhm . Had our own uniforms . And then the fitness people had their own uniforms and the Mesus had their own uniforms. What do the Mesus's uniforms look like? I don't remember No recollection at all none whatsoever Color Nope, sorry. I remember mine . Okay and how did it come to pass that you were no longer working at Marlago in two to three weeks . I was approached by Galaine Maxwell . Okay , and how long had you been working at Marlaga when you were approached by Galaine Maxwell ? Roughly two or three weeks . Okay , where in the spa were you when you were approached by Glene Maxwell Just outside the locker room sitting where the other girl that works there usually sits. She was away from the desk and I was reading a book on massage therapy . Was that indo ors or outdoors ? Outdoors , okay, and what were you in the sun or in the shade ? In the shade underneath the, I don't know what you'd call it, but you know, underneath the complex, the building . All right , and what was Glaine Maxwell wearing when she approached you? I don't remember what she was wearing . Any recollection, color of clothing or anything ? No . Okay . Any details about her? Was she carrying a purse or anything ? No , she looked like from my memory she looked like she was either there for massage or fitness. I remember she had a British accent . She was very interested in the book I was reading . I mean, we can go into some more details later if you'd like, but I don't remember anymore about what she was wearing that day . Did you have a cell phone at that time? No . Who were you living with at that time ? Or where were you living at that time? At my parents . And who else was living there with you at that time? My mother and my dad and my brother Which brother ? Sky . What about your other brother? I think he'd moved out by then . What forms of communication did you have? Just a home phone number or what? Yeah, there was a home phone . When do you recall ever getting a cell phone The first cell phone I ever got was the one that Glaine gave me . So you never had your parents. Did they have ones when they were working for Marlago No, my dad used to like we had phones in the spa and maintenance area and so on and so forth and you could so to speak page people from around the courts . Okay . So tell me what you recall of the first conversation that you had with Glay Maxwell . I'm sitting there reading my book about massage therapy as I'm working in the spa and I'm getting my G I was in the process of getting my GED before I went to my summer job. I decided that I would like to become a massage therapist one day and the body really intrigued me. You know, reading this massage was reading this massage was a lot about anatomy, blood flow , everything to do with, you know, touching somebody somewhere and then triggering a result somewhere else. I was just very intrigued by the whole anatomy thing . She came up, Glene, sorry, Glene came up and approached me at the desk that I was sitting at and my book was like this . She said, Oh, you're reading a book about massage . You want to do a massage or do you want to do a massage ? And I told her , Yes, you know, I'm very interested in it. One day I would like to become a Massuse . Alright, and where did you get the book on massage Maybe the library maybe or do you recall? I don't think I purchased it so I'd have to say the library . Okay, what library was that? Whichever library was close to my house. Do you remember a library being close to your house . There was one there 's one in Wellington that I used to go to. Oh no, there's one in Royal Palm. Yeah, there's one in Royal Palm and Wellington that I used to go to both . Did you have a card for both? Did I have a card? A library card. Yeah. For both places. To be able to rent out a book, yeah . Okay, so the best of your recollection is you used one of your library cards at one of those two libraries to check out a book on massage and anatomy . Correct . And when did you do that relative to starting at Marlago? Probably within the first week? I mean , I saw with the massage therapist got to do. I mean, their jobs were so relaxing. The music, like the atmosphere , they always had happy clients. It just seemed like the ideal job . And so you were spurred to go to the library and check out a book. Well , I've been talking with the other massage therapists and they're the ones who first intrigued me about what they do . And you know, I wanted to aim for something higher than being a locker room attendant one day. And yeah . What was the name of the massage therapist that you were speaking with? Oh, I have no idea . Can you give me any physical description of any of them ? There was one who had blonde short hair . There was , I would say there's probably about four massage therapists that worked there. So I mean, I don't remember all of them . Okay, what time of day was it objective for m afternoon ? And what time did you get off work? Oh, sorry, how late ? Let me go back . I'm being confused. Edward says objective form , and your phrase says after noon . How late, anywhere between two and four ? And what time did you get off work? I believe I got off at five . And what was the rest of your conversation with Miss Maxwell. I'm sorry, I don't think you've finished . Thank you . Well, she noticed I was reading the massage book and I started to have a chit chat with her just about the body and the anatomy and how I was interested in it . And she told me that she knew somebody who was looking for a traveling Masus . And I said, Well, I don't have any accreditations . This is the first book I've ever read. She goes , okay, that 's okay. I know somebody. We can train you. We can get you educated . You know, we can help you along the way if you pass the interview. If the guy likes you, then, you know, it will work out for you. You'll travel, you'll make good money, you'll be educated, and you'll finally get accredited one day . Okay . She finished off by giving me her number and I told her I'd have to ask my dad. And I called my dad. I ran over actually to see my dad talk to him . He said it would be okay . I used the phone from Marlago to call her and tell her that I was allowed to come over . And she said, Great, meet me here at I don't remember the exact address, but it was El Brillaway. So if that's Elbrio or Elbrello Elbrellaway in Palm Beach after you get off and my dad drove me . Did you write down her the address that she gave? Yes. Did you write down her phone number? Yes . So did you go run and talk to your dad while she was still there? No, I believe she'd left. And she told me to ask my dad and then give her a phone call . Okay Did she ask you your age when she had that conversation with you ? No, she did not Did you tell her your age? No, I did not And so somewhere you wrote down a phone number to call her back at all right, and where did you write that down? Probably just a piece of paper lying around the desk . Okay, but you don't remember ? I mean, no, I don't have that piece of paper anymore, so no . Okay , and did you write down an address ? Yes . And what number do you think you called? A cell phone or a home phone? Or do you have any idea ? I have no idea. Gloan answered, so if it was a home phone, the butlers probably would have answered. So it was most likely it was her cell phone. All right . And what happened when you got off of work ? My dad drove me to El Brook. I don Now't even know if it's Elb rio or Albrello. I'm going to have to figure that out. Ah We arrived at a very large pink mansion and we knocked on the door. My dad got out of the car and we knocked on the door . Do you recall which car this was? I don't know what he was driving at that time. My dad always drives trucks so it would have been some kind of truck . But you don't know which kind ? I don't know if it was a ford or a dodge or what kind of car does your mom drive? Right now? No, in two thousand . Oh, I have no idea. I don't remember. They change cars quite often. They like getting different cars. When did you get your first car after my trip to London to meet Prince Andrew? Okay, what kind of car did you get a Dodge Dakota? And did you purchase that yourself? Yes I did . And how much did it cost ? Well, I don't remember off the top of my head how much it cost . Who did you buy it from? My dad helped me bargain with it. I don't remember where we bought it from . And what and was the title put in your name or your dad's name? I think the title was put in my name. I mean, my dad was with me . I've never registered a car or anything like that before, so that was your first time . Yeah memorable, right ? Yes . And when you got there , a butler or someone answered the door. Is that what she said? No, Glaine answered the door. Okay, and then what happened ? She shook hands with my dad, like she briefly opened the door, she stepped out, shook hands with my dad, told her she'd look after me and then she'd make sure I get a ride home and just very briefly that was it. And my dad left and I went inside with Glaine. Did Glaine and your dad have any discussion about what it was you were doing there and in your presence . And you know, I can't recall exactly what was said, but I had already told my dad what the interview was for . So what did you tell your dad that a very nice lady approached me and told me that she would offer me an education to become a massage therapist . And it was great. It would be a great experience for me to be able to be educated and trained and eventually be accredited . So he was very happy for me as well . You told him that outside of the presence of Glaine? Yes, when I first ran to the tennis courts where he was at . And then in your presence at the home, did your dad and Ms. Maxwell have any conversation, further conversation about what you were doing there ? I don't recall. I think they probably would have chatted for approximately maybe thirty seconds It wasn't a very long chat. The things that stick out of my mind were we will take good care of her and we'll be bringing, we'll make sure she gets right home and how far away did you live ? Approximately thirty minutes and that's with your parents house, right ? That was my parent's house . Did you see any other employees or any other people inside the house that day? Yes . Who else did you see Juan na Lesi ? Uh huh? And Maria ? But Jeffrey and Glaine like to call them John and Mary . Okay, where did you see John? And to clarify, this is not Maria Farmer. This is a different Maria . Where did you see John? Downstairs after the whole ordeal . Which room? The kitchen ? All right, and where did you see Mary ? In the same place, the kitchen . Were they talking to one another ? No, Mary was doing something with the dishes. They were always either cleaning or doing stuff and you saw them in the kitchen , in the kitchen area . You have to understand there's like three parts to the kitchen. So it's very large . All right, what part did you see John in the corner? Left hand. And Mary was in the same vicinity but not right next to him. They weren't chatting . What is also contained in the corner , left hand of the room? There's like a like shelves with, I don't know, just shelves that I can remember, you know, open door pantry stuff . What was Miss Maxwell wearing when he arrived at the house. I don't remember what she was wearing . The book that you were reading at the spa that day, do you recall the name of it? No I just know it was it said the word massage on the front of it. I don't know the title or the author . Do you know the color of the book ? It was dark. It was like a plastic covering . Alright, and how big was it if you can just demonstrate for the video? Smaller than that she's showing with her hands. Smaller than that, maybe I don't know, maybe a little less that less than that . Can you hold it sideways for the video? She does. So you're saying the book size was a little bit less than half of right. I mean, the book was a little bit bigger. The pages were, you know, this was very small print. This is printed A four long ways where I think it wasn't A four that way. I don't know It was just a book. I don't know how many pages it had either. I mean approximately maybe one hundred pages . Stream is being weird. Okay, so maybe my question wasn't a very good question . How big was the outside of the book? Not the thickness, like the length and the width . Maybe like here a little bit of this. So a little bit bigger . Longer than this, yeah . And the assumption here, I'm going to pause. The assumption here is she is trying to get her to remember trivial details that don't really matter to prove that she should remember the things that she says she can't remember. It's sort of to undermine Virginia's statements that she can't remember certain things by saying how could you know the shape and size of the book if you can't remember ABC and D. So that's kind of what I'm getting from this. Longer than this. Yeah . Okay, one to eight five. We're going we're going to fold it in half again and then like this. So larger than eight and a half and eleven eight and a half and eleven piece of paper . Form , says Edwards. I don't know what eight and a half and eleven inches is. If this is eight and a half and eleven inches, then yes , it's so when you fold it in half, is that a little bit smaller folded in half than the book? Yeah, if I were going to hold a book like this, if I were going to sit there and read a book like this, in my mind it would be a little bit bigger than what I'm holding right here . All right, so you're demonstrating the book is opening that way . Yes, let's say I'm reading it like this. Okay, got it. Again, meaningless meaningless tasks to show that she can remember everything according to this lawyer. Ms Manager says, I'm going to suggest we take a short break. We can, Edward says, order , order lunch for you guys and then get a little bit more before the lunch gets here. Okay, if that works for everybody . Yeah, that's great, says Edwards. All right, let's do that. The videographer says we're off the record at eleven thirty eight and the recesses from eleven thir ty eight AM to eleven fifty seven AM. So that's where we are also going to stop for today . You may have to do more than just Wednesday than Friday's release because it's a lot. All right, let's go back here . All right, so we are going to close out this Friday night . Again, as mentioned , the lawyer's questioning can feel very, very, very frustrating because the things that she's asking are not the meat of the problem obviously. The meat of the problem is the sexual abuse that was , you know, instigated by Glen Meaxwell and Jeffrey Epstein as well as the story of being recruited from Marlago . She's talking about the size and shape of the book that Virginia was reading. She's asking what people were wearing, what their haircuts were like,, what room they were in, you know, what the pantry in the kitchen looks like. She's doing this again to undermine Virginia's ability to remember something and say , you know, I got this date wrong, right ? I thought it was my sixteenth birthday. It was really my seventeenth birthday. Going back to the reading we did on Wednesday , the only reason she got that wrong was because didn't get her records from Mara Lago until I believe mid twenty fifteen. So when she had written that statement , she hadn't yet gotten her records from Marlago. So she thought that she was at Marlago in nineteen ninety nine. Turns out she was actually there in two thousand. So she was remembering to the best of her ability. She was still a minor. It was still illegal. It was not consensual , you know, for as bad as Florida can seem sometimes as far as pol likeitics protections of billionaires who like to snowbird there . They actually do have an eighteen year old consent law unlike where I live, which is sixteen . So but this questioning, the reason why it's still going so long and it is so tedious is because she is undermining Virginia Geoffrey's memory of her jobs, saying that she's dishonest because she puffed up her resume or find to work to feed her children and so that she can circle back and say , you know, you were inconsistent, you were dishonest . How can you remember all this? But remember nothing about this? And clearly that is the path that they are going down. So we will continue this next week. We might do an extra one on Monday. I'm thinking so that we can start to get through this a little faster . Again, this is from the twenty sixteen civil suit between Virginia Goo Frey and Galaine Maxwell The questioning is being done by Maxwell's lawyer and eventually settled out of court for an undeclosed amount. But then as we know , good old Galane Maxwell went to prison. So again, the reason why I'm doing these specific dep itions and why I'm going to dig into this more is because there may be a pardon coming down the pike for Glain Maxwell and if I can get as much information front and center and show the heinous things she did , you before know, that happens, maybe it will help in some small way. So that's the goal. Okay, again today , up in the corner , and I will put this in the notes . I included a QR code for the sexual violence center. This is the one that serves the greater Minneapolis area . If you have an extra couple of bucks, they can really use it there. They do good things for people who really need it. They are a wonderful resource for both for both victims of sexual violence, but also their friends and family and advocates , but also , you know, these types of centers are likely available in your community as well. If you need the resour ces, or also if you want to make a donation and you want it to go to your local community, just Google it and you will inevitably find one within a few miles of your house that can use your donations . But if you just would like to donate to a center that helps girls and women and children like Virginia Dufrey , the Minneapolis Sexual Violence Center is a really good one. So that is why I put that up there today. And I hope other than that, I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend . And yeah, we'll be back next week doing a little bit more of this. So I love you all . And I don't know what that was . And I will see you guys next week. Bye .
