It's eighty nine degrees in Washington, DC It is hotter in Washington, D.C than in any other city across America right now And it will be hotter in Washington, DC hotter than any other city across America during the Fourth of July celebrations just for perspective today The only places hotter than DC are the deserts in Africa The deserts in the Middle East and some deserts in Asia including the Sahara desesert. DC is hotter the ninety nine percent of the world, Only one percent of the planet is hotter than Washington, D.C. And as we currently speak, there is growing concern about not just the health of those attending but also the health of the president Officials are warning that the extreme heat gripping Washington, D.C poses a serious health risk during the America two hundred fifty celebrations Temperatures are expected to top one hundred degrees and heat index values reaching as high as one hundred and eleven degrees Emergency officials have expanded medical staffing, first aid stations, ambulances, hydration stations Cooling measures amid concerns that attendees could suffer heat related illnesses or even die from prolonged exposure. The dangerous conditions have already disrupted events with one fair goer requiring medical treatment. or dunking themselves in the baptism pool There's also heightened attention on President Trump, who is eighty years old and plans to give a lengthy outdoor speech despite the dangerous temperatures So we will see I will be watching the speech and all of the fourth of July festivities so that you don't have to and I will report it back to you At the same time, today we're learning that the United States has warned Warsaw, Poland that Russia is planning an armed provocation against Poland to test NATO's resolve The assault could see Poland's vital infrastructure targeted by missiles or drones or even Russian soldiers invading boots on the ground into NATO territory source cl close to Polish President Tarol Narki So Polish out would Oette that the aim of the assault would be to provoke Tensions and pressure Western allies to suspend military and financial aid to Ukraine The US systematically informs Poland about ever new Russian plans for a conventional attack on NATO's easastern flank, from which Poland is by no means excluded And it comes as Trump is attacking NATO. And the question is, if Russia were to invade Poland tomorrow Will the United States stand up for Poland? And the answer is we don't know Article V of NATO requires that the United States get involved immediately and protect Poland and essentially go to war against Russia When when one country iss attacked to NATO, all countries are attacked to NATO. That's the premise of Article five But Trump has spent the past twenty four hours attacking NATO suggesting that the United States should not continue this one sided path when the relationship is not reciprocal onnce again saying that the United States spends more money on NATO than on other countries to protect them without getting any benefit to do so. And it all comes as we learn that Defense Secretary Pete Heexf was planning to head to Brussels Belgium NATO headquarters Last month to deliver a bombshell announcement The U.S. is preparing additional cuts to forces in Europe that would go beyond the canceled deployment of an armored brigade to Poland and the earlier withdrawal of an infantry brigade from Romania TexA's proposal was nextixed after it was shared with Marco Rubio, not just Trump's seecretary of state, but his national security advisor as well Right now NATO is on shaky grounds, and it's unclear whether or not The United States would support and defend NATO if The time came A story that not many people are covering is the arrest of Major Watson. and we're now learning that the Air Force is officially investigating Major Watson for possible court martial According to the Secretary of the Air Force, he says he is aware of recent reports of an Air Force officer protesting at the United States Capitol Let me be clear, I expect every airman and guardian to comply with all laws and policies governing personnel conduct, political participation and the wear of the uniform. Americans place their trust in us, we cannot and will not compromise the trust of the nation Good order and discipline are critical to the DAF's mission and rigorously maintaining the highest standards of conduct on and off duty are an absolute must for all Airmen and guuardians department takes allegations of misconduct seriously including any that might undermine the nonpartisan nature of our military Pursuant to a thorough investigation, which will proceed, unimpeded commanders will ensure appropriate disposition when holding service members accountable accordance with military law and due process I would expect that he will be charged in a court martial setting. It moves a lot quicker than a traditional court. so we'll have to see what happens there We also got A EpsC news in response to Katie Fang's lawsuit.
