And then you get there and there's this collective sigh of relief and you go, you've made it And surely now from that point on, you can go, okay cool, I've achieved my goal And now I actually get to spend time my loved ones and I get to recoup all that stuff. What is that about? Why they don own black burger buns They're traditionally a squid ink bun. That's how they get them black. Why? Well, I don't know, they want to point a difference, but it could also be just the reason you're like, oh shit I got bowel cancer. I've got bloody black poo. It be it could be the reason why they possibly shut because they've just been burning all this stuff. I cant imagineing you' been like all blacks tests week, make a couple of black buns. Absolutely there's a needed park game on, sell a few black burgers Why don't get there I think everybody tries to overc compomplicate, you know, things to a certain extent and then you lose the whole point of doing them. How' that restaurant going in Auckland or the food joint that was just serving fried chicken? The auditook You mean caves? They go around. Yeah they go okay.. People like to feel good when you go, are they otherwise go you're going out for a meal or you' paying for it and then you go, man this just feels like a workplace. You can make it a competitive breakfast If you go for breakfast now in Akland City in particular Good luck getting changeed out of twenty bucks. Oh What you used to pay for a main dinner is now your breakfast cost. And I understand why I'm one hundred percent for the whole entire hospitality the industry. But it's not feasible for a person. It's not feasible for probably ninety percent of the population to dieine that I hope that that person is going to be calling their business F and notes. with the It's it's a thing. It's a legit setup and they are going with like savory options as well So there's a Chinese Corridge called Congji, which is a rollout spot and with chicken stock and you ate it like a kind of almost like a rolled out soup different stuff and it's delicious, really, really good for you. We're talking about all these different bits and pieces that you can put into Rolled Os and once again at rehashed the knowledge as I was chatting to her about how people in Scotland haveave I Porridge drawer So you know like you've got your cutlery drawer and you've got the other one. They've got a poridge drawer. So at the beginning of the week they make a big batch 'causeuse it is just oats, water and salt. That's all that goes into traditional roll. Yeah. And so then they just chop out a square and they put it into a pot and they reconstitute it with either water or milk if you're fancy and add a little bit of sugar. Yeah, so you just literally get the spatula and cut it square. You get a piece of lasagna out of like a piece of lasagna that's in the fridge. But You have rolled oats every morning, my boys have rolled oats every morning and they bl delicious I I've got a bit of a game changer this saw. They reckoned this ship sank into a violent hurricane back then and they were going to add four hundred fifty million dollars worth the treasure on it It was going from the Americas back to Spain So apparently there this Mal Fisher ated this thing in the actual thing in nineteen eighty five. You'll have to jump back to episode eighty three for that recipe What I've done is I left it in the fridge so it goes nice and firm. and then I've got my dredging mix of flour, egg and breadcrumbs. I've given them the double dip. So there's two coatings there. Then we've got our tallow nice and hot, around one hundred seventy Celsius Look those bricks of goodness in there, Got them nice and golden brown, hit them with some kosher salt and we are gonna eat them today with a bit of fancy Hanks Australian pepperberry tomato sauce.
