Sophie's got this new trick of contouring her nose and I've never seen anything quite like it. I was looking at her nose and I was like, I've never seen something so snatched and perfect. And I was like, what have you done differently? Okay, right. Tell everyone. Okay, so I have the Charlotte Tilby contour lip liner, which is what's gone missing in this room. We must find it. Because I think it's very out of stock. It's a double-sided lip liner, one side's contour, and the other is like an iconic nude, so and I use the brown, the contour, and I draw on my nose the contour, and it's just, it's so precise and amazing. Is it on there? On there. Okay, you've got about it. I contour my nose like I'm drawing a painting rather than with like a thick, oily contour stick because it's so dry. That's it. This is it. What shade do you get? Medium. Okay, so we've got fair, medium, I reckon, I think a deep. No, I got like maybe fair or medium. Medium, okay. Medium. And so I couldn't I draw on my nose, and because the thing with contouring your nose with like a contour stick, it's very oily and the contour is very thick, so you can't really get precise lines. And this just stays all day. Like it's so much thin. It's also the most undetectable contour I've ever seen because it is so thin, you're like, is it that or is it not? I couldn't I was trying to work it out. Yeah, it's brilliant. Pair that with the freckles, shaft's kiss of a nose. But also I have been nose taping my nose since being pregnant, so I don't whether that's been doing it because I was so scared of the pregnancy nose well Touch wood touch wood touch that I just have nose taped my nose for now a long, long time. You should also give a tutorial on that at some point 'cause I'm sure the guardies would love to see.. I really should Can you use that not pregnant and it still makes a difference? I'm sure it would help. Yes, yes. Because you do just swell on your nose, don't you Yeah, particularly if you've had like salty or like alcohol, like your my nose would swell. Um I'm just not very good on TikTok, as we all know. I'm just quite a collab with the Wences and the Nooney Words, and that's as far as it goes for me . So apparently I stink at the moment, and my friend Eleanor, um, she works at Health, was like, right. You're smelling because of all the detox tablets that you take and it's your body getting all the toxins out and at a certain time of the month it will smell more than other times. What does taube say? Absolutely nothing. Absolutely nothing. And what's too nap under there and it'd be lovely like I don't really ever smile too much. I just pretend that I do too. I'm like yeah me twice. No there has been once where I've smelled you and you're like yeah. Oh yeah you know why when I smile a spray tan stay away from me because then you have this way down, you go to an event, you stink that night. Really? But the trick is guys , yeah, because it blocks your paws and it's so so smelly. But I found a hack and what you do is you you're gonna put talcum powder, but I don't own that. So what I do is I get like a a loose powder, like a makeup powder, and you go onto your armpits and around your vagina area. And then it doesn't create with and then no when it's drying, and then I don't know it stops it going into the pores, and then it you never smell under the armpits. But I'm talking like the minute you've done the spray tan, you get that powder and you get a brush and you dab it all under or like on a tissue and you put it under your armpits and that's it. And you're gonna save yourself from that smelly, smelly spray tan smell because it stinks under God, that's such a good tip. Yeah, I know. Make sure your pants and the sh orts you're wearing are good material. The brand I went, I don't know what it was it was obviously like cheap material and it made me stink and sweat. And I think get yourself some like light air organic cotton. Organic . And like flowy linen trousers. Yeah, I think we stick to the loose fitting. Don't wear the chafe shorts that are like up your bummer like chafing and causing itches and scratches. No, no, no, no, no. And girls always sweat what do boys call it? Ray vagina or something. Disco fanny. Disco fanny? Yeah, disco fanny. Why have I not heard of that? Right, disco fanny is um when you're in a disco and you're sweating, you're dancing, you're partying all night, and you go home, you shag somebody, and your fanny smells. So it's basically like disco dick. It's the same thing, but disco dick, vinegar dick. Oh cheesy dick. I've never had a cheesy dick. No, normally because I would literally kick them out if anyone walked into my house with a cheesy standing dick. Can I just say I will never forget being on a train once? And I went, What's that smell? And my friend Victoria tells me she went cheesy dick. And I to this day, forevermore, know exactly what cheesy dick smells like because it was wafting out of this bloke's trousers and I was like , I actually keep my my makeup in the kitchen now as well. This is like life of the child. The only time I have is like while she's quick in a high chair so I'm like quick five minutes. What have you got on your skin right now? Just cost us concealer. Nothing on the skin and uh anywhere else. Well, no, I've also got bronzer and blush rolls. I know, but no function. But my no, but my sun cream has is like a like an iridescent glowy sun cream. Oh nice, what one is it? It's colour science, it's mineral sun cream. You should you would love it it. And's like a it's like a Hollywood flawless filter, but it's obviously a mineral sun cream. SP50. Colour Science Mineral Sun Cream. It's cool. Glow. It's the glow shade. Right. I might have to go and purchase that. Yeah, you would love that. What I've got on my skin right now, not that you've asked. What have you- your skin is gorgeous. Is it the Victoria Bacon? Yeah. I you're so keep telling me to get this. Fricking insane. I need to get that. Like unbelievable. I you put it on, it just like if for the first like two minutes, I'm like, oh I feel like I've got too much on. And then I look in the mirror again five minutes later and it's just like Sinks into your skin. It's like the weirdest thing, and it goes- I wouldn't actually notice you've had anything. It doesn't look like we've got no anything on. But you are really glowy. And then I take it off at the end of the night, my skin looks better than it did in the morning. Because I think it's got skincare. It's like August and then a bad whatever. I'm obsessed with that. August and a spade. It's so I can't get a buy that. But I hate to tell you it's £105 . Oh. Like what the actual feels like a bargain because Augustine has better's cream is £250. The annoying thing is I had to buy two shades because I didn't shade. Yeah. Can you use one for summer like is it I mix them together. Okay. Because I got one, I was like, right, let's just make it feel like it's not gonna be wasted. So I got one a little bit paler than I was supposed to use. So I mix them together and if they're gonna last as long, fine. And then you can just adjust like the amounts. Exactly. Because I've got fake tan on, I'll just use a little bit more of the darker one, etc. Good idea. So I might have some of my favourite products with me. Go on then. Would you like to see? I would love to see. I love Elnet . Anyone who knows me as well knows that I love Elnet. So this is the bet this is the favorite. Cannot go wrong. There's also something really chic. Can't go wrong. I think about the L NET bottle and vintage looking and this tried and tested. It's been going for years. You just know what it's gonna do. Gorgeous product. I mean the scent's really nostalgic as well. It's not the best scent in the world. Because it reminds me of like my grandma . Nostalgia. Yeah, it is. Yeah. I'm happy they've never changed it. L'Oreal, you can never change that scent because never change that. Best dry shampoo, living proof. Oh yeah. Fickening spray by Bedhead, Queen for a Day. Brilliant product. Does that go in dry hair? Put it in wet hair. You can put it in. Is it like a mousse? Dry hair. It's a spray. It's a spray mousse. Ooh. Yeah. Really recommend. So I've washed my hair towel-dried out the shower, and that's just going in sh ort. Yeah, you can use it on the roots, roots to mid lengths, and then blow it all out. And it looks it will just give you so much volume without your hair feeling tacky. I hate feeling like the stuff in there. Yeah, this is honestly such a lovely product. Okay. So then I would use that on the roots, the mid lengths, then you could use a mousse through the ends. Okay , not put that through the ends. And then the mousse through the ends would just make the blow dry hold more. Yeah. And speaking of moussees, onto the color wow, XXL mousse. People talk about colour out a lot in the hairstyling industry. Yeah. It's got a good brilliant product. Really lightweight, not sticky. Got a nice array of the product. So that's like some good these are the good sort of styling products, I'd say. Like they're your non-negotiables, you take them everywhere with you. Non-negotiables. Okay. Right, top three curl products, Moroccan oil, curl defining cream, three pumps. Yeah, in wet hair. Wet hair. Distribute it in your hands. One side. Scrunch, scrunch, scrunch those girls. And that's it. And then she's and then she's good to go. I'd use that. Would that work on someone like my hair, where I've got a tiny bit of wave? Would it make it more curly or would it just make it So Sophie was actually using it on hers, so she's obviously got like a natural sort of wave in her hair. She was just using a little bit of that just to like tame some of those frizzies, you know? Frizzies, okay. So that's you can try it. I think products are I think you trial and error with products. Yeah. You should always try different products because one might work for you but doesn't work for somebody else or something you like it's personal preference I think. Um curl cream, Moroccan oil, then the Olaplex Gel. Oh wow, we're doing it. Pearl gel brilliant again in all wet hair. I would little bit of each, then I would use a mousse. Chuck it all on, and you'll have gorgeous curls. Right, last few products and then I'm done. Colourwow Dream Coat non negotiable. Is that a spray? Gorgeous. Spray. This is the one for curly hair, but the normal one, brilliant. And it just shines. It gives your hair shine. It's anti humidity. It will just make your hair feel amazing. Okay. And look amazing. Um, next product, Augustina Spader. Non-toxic. Leave him. Non-toxic. Gorgeous product. I bet it's absolutely stunning. You'd love that. Right, so what's this? Maybe I'll go and buy this. Yeah, you'd love that. Have a smell of that. Right, I'm gonna do last one now. Oh wow, that's gorgeous. Kerastar oils. Right, people rave about best oils you can get on the market. I personally think. Everyone everyone that I think has good hair uses those. So that's going on pre post . You could do wet or dry. They're really lightweight. Um can I just do a pump of this now? Yeah, cool. Should I do just one? Just do one or do a half of one if you feel like it might be too much. How nice does it feel? It's lig aht way you won't feel like your hair's overloaded either. You don't want to feel greasy. That's like there's nothing worse than feeling grease. Right, has that transformed me? Babe, you look amazing. Does it look shiny? Yeah. It looks gorgeous. I will say it feels really nice. It feels like a lot of smells nice, doesn't it? Smells good. Um thin hair, thick hair. Yeah. Products for thin hair. I would use thickening spray to thicken it out, but also a good blow dryer. I think if you've got thin hair and you can blow dry your hair really well, you can make it look much thicker. So yeah, like good techniques for thinner hair. Like have a go and have a blow dry once a week. Get a lovely gorgeous, stunning. Or get yourself a Dyson. I want to see Yeah, get yourself a Dyson. Dyson's are really good for an at home blow dry. I think they're worth the investment. What about the shark? People talk about the shark a lot. Yeah, I think it's quite similar. I think the shark one's a little bit cheaper, maybe. Is it? Don't quote me on that. They would probably have good reviews on TikTok of like which one would suit your hair better because I know some are better for thin hair, some are better for like curly hair and blah blah blah. But honestly, if your hair's a bit thinner, I think embrace it, like go for it. I think the textured stuff in thin hair can sometimes look really good. And you can make your hair look lov ely. Whatever, if it's thin, thick. You can always make your hair look lovely. Thick hair. Yeah. You want something that's really going to a product I would say you really need like a smoothing cream or something that's really gonna tame it. Dream coat for thick hair, it's really lovely to just spritz it all the way through. And then what brush it? Blow it all, like blow dry it all. And you need to be using heat protector. That's like a non-negotiable. Okay. Is any of those one? Colourwow. Yeah. Okay. Majority. I think the thickening spray, the colour wow. They've all got it in there. Yeah, they've all got it. Majority of products have heat prote ction in them. But you can get some really lightweight sprays, some really lightweight products. Do you do a good spray for heat protector? I used ones. But you want to be using a heat protector, it will honestly, like save your hair. I think if you're if you're using heat and no heat protector, don't come crying to me. Your hair is like ruined. Because I can't be asked for that. Can't be bothered. So get the heat protector on your hair, girlies and boiseies. We must. We must. We must protect the hair at all costs. In hair, we must. I actually use at the moment dermaviduals, which I get from a girl called Ingrid and then but you can't get them unless you see her it's like one of those weird ones it's like prescription only. But we gatekeep her slightly because she's so hard to get into. I mean I don't see her, but yeah. I gatekeeper . Anyway, um, yeah, and then clear skin with L is like a fucking game changer. Like I feel like you just love it, don't you? I love clear skin. Um, and also I use Zeto um cleanser and then I use PyTiox by Skin Peticals. Pytox or Phytox? It's P-Y-T-O-X. It's like pregnancy safe. It's like peptides. It's so, so good. I honestly think it's the best product in the world. Really. Genuinely is game changer. Game changer. And because obviously this girl's not have both since being pregnant. And I swear it's like keeping the wrinkles a little bit at bay. No wrinkles, not at all, not sing ale wrinkle on sight. Well, there is if I wrinkle my forehead. Anyway. They don't stay. They do. But anyway. Then I use niacinamide by um the ordinary. Oh yeah, the ordinary is good. I will also say cle like LMS is also fucking good. Oh LMS cleans it's a good cleansing balm. Oh it's just fantastic. Less is more, but you know what my get my like biggest thing is? And I know that you don't like it, you think it would add something to skin barrier, but I think it helps any skin barrier, is Clina South. That is like my game changer. I love Clina South, I use it all day every day. What are you talking about? You said to me you don't don't use it too much because it will dry out. It can if you use it too much. I use it so much. I cleanse my face with it. No, I like do it before I do it. It's like my toner. Yeah, same. I do morning and night, but I some people were using it like seven or eight times a day and I was like, why is my skin so dry? And it was because I was doing it way too much. Because every time I get off the tube Oh because you were thinking it was like an antiback. Almost, yes. And it's not really. Well it is, but yeah, it will dry out your skin. It's like if you use antiback on your hands seven times a day, your skin will dry out. Yeah. It's so good. I mean, obviously I don't spray it over my makeup. I do sometimes. If I put on the tube and I'm like, that was rank, it's going over. I bet it doesn't do anything, it's just lovely. It's cooling. And when I was in the summer I love the smell of it, it just smells so clean everywhere. It smells so bleach. I'm like, it kind of does, but just maybe that's why I love the smell of it. It just smells clean. Also, I also really like cordly products. Yes. Fucking love them. And they are like non-toxic y if you scan them on yucca, they're all really good. Yeah, I use cordly factor fifty. Oh my god, the SBF is fucking amazing. It's very oily though, we'll say like very oily. If you've got oily prone skin, I would probably stay away from it. And then our makeup tip, Kylie Skin Tit, is just like, it's just I will never ever like I hope that product I might stock up. What I will say is I uh I've got a few on my roster that I swap between the Merit SBF. Oh my god, I've got skin tint SBF. SBF 50 is fucking incredible. I've never used that. Oh my god, it's amazing. You need to try it. Oh my god, really amazing. Kylie skin tint. Amazing, tiny bit dry for me, but I still am wearing it every day. It's like so light. And then also the Jane Iodel foundation. It's so glowy and you would really like it. But it's thicker. It's a proper foundation vibe. It's really bad at like mixing, matching. Like if I like something, like I'm just going for that. My hand is reaching it. My mind on the day. It just reaches for something else. I'll go through phases of like using something for one week and then the next week trying something else and liking that. And then I forget. It's really good.. I'm not lying And the Merit Stick. Love that still. But I use it Merit Stick. It's amazing. Yeah. And then also we love Oh my god, what about those lip bumper? Oh Dr. Dennis Grosh, should we put it on? Yeah. So if he's bought well, she's bought herself a lip plumper, but she's bought it here so I can try it. And then we can watch live our lips grow. Okay, so this is like Dr. Dennis. Dr. Dennis Gross and it's plump and revised. If you don't want to get yourself a lip job or lip filler or what lip job that's so like my mum so my mum they've got bodox in their lip and I'm like yeah they go they've had a lip job haven't they oh they've had one of those lip jobs So you put this bad boy on. Right. And then they're going to start tingling, okay? And we're going to see the difference. Oh, they've already gone quite red. I know it does make them quite red. I then like to take it off. I actually think it might make my lips look a bit OTT , but I think later on in the day they look good. Okay. It plumps them. It feels like gets injected water into my lips. It's really quite something. Hydration. It is good shit, guys. Okay, you've heard it here first. Do we think it's recommended? Some days it feels like your to-do list just won't quit. I could just sit and ask you everything. Should we just ask what your current skincare routine is? Yes. So heads up. I don't work for any of the brands I'm gonna recommend. This is just stuff that I happen to use and buy. So currently, face wash-wise, I use the Cera V Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser, morning and evening. And the reason I use that is because it's super gentle because it's a cream cleanser, but I am still a little bit oily combination. Okay. So it will foam up. So I know that my T-zone is still squeaky clean. It also removes makeup very well. That's important. It's when people like use cleansing and then they they have to use a makeup remover as well. No, that's two high motions for me. I just need it all in one. I agree. I don't love double cleansing. I'd much rather use one product that you can get rid of everything. The only thing is you then have to make sure that you have massaged it in for a good 30 to 60 seconds before you rinse it off to make sure the makeup goes completely. And then I use an eye cream and a moisturizer, and I like the Murad vitamin C. Everyone says something about that. Vitamin C is so essential, isn't it? It is. Especially like pigment, right? It like helps vitamin skin tone, all that stuff. It will help with pigment, but it also helps your sunscreen work better as well. Because vitamin C is an antioxidant. So it reduces damage from free radicals. So these harmful molecules that we get in sun and in pollution. I mean we live in a pretty dirty polluted filthy city. So vitamin C or an antioxidant combined with your sunscreen will reduce the damage from that, and therefore it'll help your sunscreen work a little bit better as well. Genius. In terms of when you're choosing a good vitamin C, if you go for something that's got L-ascorbic acid on the ingredients list, that's probably the most potent pure form of vitamin C that you can get. So if you go back to the clinical trial data, that's what a lot of the original studies were done on. So it's the the most effective type that you can get. Vitamin C also works really well with other combined ingredients if you're looking for a serum. So combining vitamin C with vitamin E, for example, or vitamin C and E with ferulic acid, you almost get like double the potency. So pure vit C is great, but you can combine. Okay. I don't know why whenever I use Vit C, I get like almost like a rash. It looks like it's like a red like red dots. They can be covered up, but they're do you remember I came in and I had it? That's when I use vitamin C. It might be. S peopleome can be a little bit sensitive to vitamin C. It's a great ingredient, but if your skin is a little bit sensitive, it can cause a little bit of irritation. The other ingredient that can do that is niacinamide. A lot of people like using that for pigment and for oil control as well, doesn't suit everybody or the formulations don't suit everybody. So you might be better off going for a maybe a different variation of vitamin C than the one that you tried. Okay. I would recommend as a general good routine, cleanse, moisturize sunscreen in the morning. In the evening, you cleanse, you moisturize if you need to. I don't usually moisturize at night because I don't need to. My skin is oily. And then I use a vitamin A or a retinoid product at night before I go to sleep. I got told when you use a retinol product, you should not even because when I I went through a stage of using it, I'm not at the moment. It was very dry when I put it on, but they were like, you shouldn't put a moisturizer on top because it dilutes the product. You've got to sort of and it was working. I'd wake up and it was my skin was like so small pores, no oil. Yeah. So I just had to sit with that sort of tight, because I like to go to bed with literally this thick moisturizer on my face on top of everything. See little lip. Me too. Okay. So what I would say with vitamin A in general and that whole thing about diluting the effect . It depends on the potency or the strength of the vitamin A or retinoid that you're using. So retinoids are just an umbrella term for vitamin A creams in general. Then you've got prescription vitamin A creams, so these are things like tritinoin or adaplene, which somebody would prescribe you. Then you've got the stuff that you can buy in skincare. So those are things like retinaldehyde and retinol. Retinaldehyde is stronger than retinol. Right. So when you are starting a vitamin A, you probably want to start with something you buy over the counter. So something like a retinol. Okay. And what you probably want to do with that is at night time, so you've washed your face, you've got a clean base, I would normally recommend you use a pea sized blob of that retinol and you start using it once or twice a week initially. Okay. Do not use it on consecutive nights. Maybe do it a Monday and a Thursday. So your skin gets a recovery on the in-between nights, thin layer, full face, avoid the eye area. And I would suggest if your skin is sensitive, maybe five, ten minutes later, go brush your teeth, get ready for bed, put a moisturizer on top. Yeah. And that way you're not really diluting it down because you've allowed absorption of one and then absorption of the other. Just don't smack the layers on top of each other. Oh my god, okay. So it's louding that. Because I do often think, God, it feels like it's absorbed by the time I go to bed. And I'm like, sure. You'll do your skincare nose at like five PM. Yeah, I do it then. I get it. Okay. You can definitely moisturize before bed then. Because I'm like crispy. And also like it's a bit dry around my nose. Do I like yeah, I just put a yeah, so that's really common actually. Most people do find they get a little bit of peeling around here and it's usually around the mouth area as well. So that's often because product pulls in those areas as well. So it's almost having a slightly higher concentration of effect. Because it's kind of catching in the natural fold that it would catch those places Yeah, not a good place to get crispy pee. No, it's not it's my I hate a crispy nasal area. What you need to do though is cotton bud tip, apply the moisturizer first to those areas. So you've created a barrier or a sealant, and then put your retinol on top. Oh, can I ask this question? How much does what you're eating impact upon your skin? Because I feel like this is also something that people don't think about. And I listened to this like clip and it was like this woman who was like a skincare expert, and she was like, you know, and often people are like, I eat so healthily though, I wake up and I have an oat milk latte. And she's like, That already is where you're going wrong with the oat milk and stuff like that. It's actually affects it more than you think. Yeah. So there's a couple of things I'd say. So the first thing is if you have a certain medical skin condition, so you've got acne, you've got rosacea, you've got eczema, you've got psoriasis, that's multifactorial. So some of that is just purely down to the way that your skin cells are programmed, the way that your genetics, your family history, your DNA are. And there's only so much you can do to change that. But there's absolutely no doubt that lifestyle factors, diet being one of them, can also have an impact in skin. So I also am not a fan of oat milk either. And it's one of the questions that I do ask patients when they come to clinic. What is your diet like? Is it inclusive? Are you vegan? Are you vegetarian? Is there anything you eat or don't we? Do you have dairy? And the reason why I am not a fan of oat milk is because of all of the plant milks that are out there, it's got the highest glycemic index. So what that means is when you have the oat milk, it really causes a spike in your blood sugar le vels. A spike in your blood sugar levels lead to a spike in another hormone called insulin, which then leads to another spike in another hormone called IGF one. And IgF-1, further downstream, has got similar effects to testosterone, and even women have testosterone. And what testosterone does to our oil glands is it makes them a bit big and become more juicy. You're kidding me. Essentially, high glycemic index foods have been linked to particularly female adult acne. So I always say to people, if you're gonna go for a plant-based milk, you're better off going for either unsweetened soy or almond milk over something like oat milk. I mean people love oat milk 'cause it tastes great and it tastes great 'cause it's full of sugar. Yeah. Yeah. So that's that's one example of people cutting out, for example, dairy, switching dairy. Thinking they're being healthier. And actually, probably the dairy, the full-fat dairy, is better for your skin than the oat milk is. So that's one good example. I've recently started dating this guy and we haven't slept together yet, but not because I don't want to. The truth is, I'm really insecure about my body hair. I've quite thick hair, and when I was younger, I didn't shave properly, which left me with razor bumps and some stubborn spots that make me self-conscious. I also worry about hair in unexpected places and feel this constant pressure to be
