I this morning was helping him choose his entrance music . What are his options? Well, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna but we know what Sullivan's favorite song of all time is . So it's probably gonna be that. Okay I don't know if I do know what his favorite song will be he famously has a favorite song of all time. Did it come up in our Monday night war tapings? I don't know. Probably. I think it did. He was just watching football. You can't talk to that guy , you know longer than five minutes and he brings up this song. Do you want to just let Chelsea song? I get right . Come away from the mic . Oh , is that really his favorite song? It's genuinely favorite song. I thought that was just a gimmick. No, no, genuinely's favorite song because it a b'angsing song is a great song. But you also it's a weird song to have as your favourite song . Yeah, it's great. It's a great song though. I've got very happy memories that song at Bloodstock and people going ballistic for it. This is not giving away anything that is if anything, a huge red herring for guesses , but it's got quite a long intro . It's got a one minute fif,teen , that's too long. Like intro we realized it's like territory. Forty five seconds of atmospheric building, then the first person really you want to come out on the when the chorus hits , so we were trying to find out when to start the song that isn't an egregious amount of time that cuts into other people's entrances. Of course, it also as a song work perfectly for the venue that they're in. Almost two perfectly where people are going to go, that isn't your favorite song. You're pandering to the gay club crowd. Like no, this is legit my favorite song ever. Right, yes, please, hustle in heaven, support your local indie wrestling promotion, not really one for the Americans. I'll be incredibly surprised if you fly over for this hustle show. Given the heat wave that we're currently in, I wouldn't recommend flying over to the UK . But everyone in London should go. And because Ollie is getting married , we won't be there, which means I can now blame him for taking away the opportunity of living out a dream of doing ring announcing for a wrestling show. You could have gone . You've got other plans than I before. You can't blame me for that. I am busy with something that's not connected to my wedding. But it is because we're only doing that because it's your wedding the following day. You could have changed it. You can't blame me for that one. Well, can't blame me for your life mistakes. Watch me. Well, on this show, we are doing AEW forbidden door predictions. We'll have the ass index later on but we're actually going to kick off talking about dynamite. It's funny we have a patreon comment later on which was like and we decided to just cover the AW stuff because not really any big news stories at the moment, plus also forbidden door big predictions. One of the patreon comments was like, Oh, it's been a year since you did that , which we don't talk about anymore. When you said you weren't co goingver to AEW on the news episodes anymore. Of course, we went back on that when we had a spectacular backlash . And they were like, how's it going now? Is AW, does that draw as much? Because the reason was AW just no one was clicking on those things. So we're like, okay, it's all WWE right now . And now here we are. We're leading with a full AEW themed episode. Yeah. It's like the Tuesday with WWE and Raw were doing it for AW today. So watch this episode do three thousand views . It's certainly three thousand , I would say three to five thousand view views fewer than if we'd have led with tickets for smackdown weren't that breakfast week here in London. Well, Tony's picked a good week to do it because the Lyar of Alkyria heel turn led raw podcast on Tuesday , I think has got negative views . I think people actually, YouTube started counting the amount of people who scrolled right past that . And it's gone into negative thirty eight views. Yeah. It was recommended to them and they thought I'm going to watch something else . Clearly not a lot happened on raw. I've started to see it on Vimeo. YouTubers started to push it off of its own platform . Too dull . But this episode of Dynamite take us through it because there was a lot of chatter going into this episode forbidden door go home episode and a lot of the debate was that's too many matches. You can't do it, Tony. You've got mad. Eight matches on an episode of Dynamite. This isn't one of those three, four hour collision co shows . This is a normal dynamite with, I don't know, fifty minutes of overunr, that's what we got. Yeah, Dave Meltz said on Wrestling Observer Radio. It's because Tony's a football guy and he knew he was competing against World Cup coverage so wanted to put on a stacked episode of Dynamite to try and convince people to watch Dynamite instead of the World Cup. I long for the days when WWE and the twenty ten's used to realise we're going up against the big football game this American football this Monday . Let's do absolutely nothing . Do you remember those? A completely phoned in show where it was completely missable. But there were years when they did try. Yeah, we're going to beg against the big American football game. We need to put John Sina vs. Randy Orton in the main event trying to convince people to watch this instead. It's going to be commercial free. And then yeah, there'll be other times we're like , we'll put Dolph Ziggler in the main event. No one's watching it anyway. It doesn't matter. Yeah. Dolph Ziggler versus Zack Rider. Zach Rid er. Yeah, it doesn't matter. In the third hour of raw not commercial put more commercials in . But yeah, this was a way to stop people from switching over, which meant that it was a relentless show. In a good way I thought the pacing was extraordinary. I was too full. When the young bucks came out for their match , I was like, I'm too full of wrestling now. I need some vegetables on the side of this pork knuckle dish. I was I was pleasantly surprised with how maybe because I'd set up in my head like oh god eight matches on a TV show . I actually found myself watching the stuff in the commercial breaks. I watched the full Zach Saber Junior shipping match. That's Zach Match. You've got to lean forward . But I felt that there's a segment later on. We got a video package for Maya World and Mercedes Monet , which was, you know, a lovely video package and all. I think to sell that match better , that needed an in ring promo segment with Mercedes Monet and Mayer World to really put over that match, put over Mey'ser story in the tournament, just really like hammer that one home. And I think I felt like the show needed an in ring promo segment just to kind of break up the matches and the sort of like the relentlessness of it all. Yeah, I died and get that for some reason. First off, I think the Monet Maia World thing, a noble idea. I don't think it would have been a good in ring segment. I think the short video package was more than serviceable . Yeah, you got a big angle at the end, which was maybe the worst thing on the show . It was just, you know, an interruption train of run into and attacks , which yeah, it wasn't wasn't the best bit of the show whatsoever. I felt like what you needed, a good dish has things that break things up. Zaxaber Jr. I agree. But it's not, but that's just another wrestling match different kind of wrestling kind of wrestling match. Sure. But you do need to have a sauce that cuts through the richness of a dish. You need some acidity to offset some of the sweetness that you might have on a dish. And I felt that this episode didn't have all of the key components. It almost felt like Tony Khan watched your Don't Be a Penguin video at the weekend. And so he was like, I tell you, well, you want more wrestling on your wrestling shows, do you? Here, have all the wrestling on your wrestling shows. You ever had a hundred percent chocolate ? Because I have and it is horribly bitter ly bitter. He wants you one other ingredients in there for a palatable chocolate bar. But the I know what you mean and broadly I would completely agree. I think if you do it every now and then and there's a weird meta appropriateness to this because forbidden door is just a pay per view of here are matches that are really fun to watch. The proverbial heatless banger, I know we've got the six man sorry, twelve man steel cage match, and that does have a storyline going into it, but I don't actually care much about that story line. At this stage weird that that's on a pay per view, for instance So here I don't know I just it felt like a special episode. I completely agree with your point and I do think was only one match that I felt that fatigue and it was the young Bucks TDMK match. That was the only time I felt like boo , I've had enough of I've had my fill now. I could quite I could actually go for something a little bit different on this wrestling show. Because then when Queen Arminada and Red Velvet had their match, I got so into that. Like they really drew me back into the show and then set me up perfectly for the main events of Tekesha versus Ricochet. So it was only in that one match and it was not that long of a match either. So for all my talk of like it was relentless and I felt full , it wasn't like I hated this episode of Dynamo. I had a really good time with it and as a special episode I really, enjoyed it, but I do think there is a better balance to be had with a wrestling show. That's for other weeks. Anyway, what are you talking about? The show started off with a non wrestling segment. It started with Willospre y over. Which was the the best bit of show? So this was a shoot right? Yeah, he just fell over. You could tell because he stood right back up and then pissed himself laughing. Yeah and Garcia was trying not to laugh and yeah, slap stick falling over . really N inot the death frider's vibe, is it? Oh, Will. Moxley does this like intense hype speech because they had a series of matches, each one of them this night. You know, Garcia was wrestling, swerve, swerve, Will was wrestling, Elfantasmo, ELP , the Death Riders had a trio as much Marie. All of them were in action. They do their spinny realm thing, which does look a bit silly anyway . And I guess that was Will just moment out. I think he slipped. I think he tripped over the little tin bath thing that was in the corner. The cold plant? The cold? Yeah. Or was it just there to hold drinks and stuff? Whatever it was, he fell over it. He fell over and it was really, really funny. Yeah, it's funny to watch Will do a real fool because when Will K fade falls, oh my god, it looks beautiful. Yeah there's three flips in there. This was it led into the death riders of Claudio, Mox, and Utah taking on Brodido and Mystico of CML, who got, you know, the big Mr Co entrance and everything really fun six man tag . I didn't love the finish which was Green Shafir distracting the referee, Claudio hitting Brody King with the Continental Championship and Moxley rolling him up to get the win. I get the idea is you're putting over the story of the Forbidden Door match, which is that everyone's barred from ringside, so he won't have Morin Shafir to cause a distraction. But I feel like with Moxy, we've been telling the story that he doesn't need that anyw . Yes . But are they telling that story? Well, he did it at the literally the last payer view, one completely on his own. But that's because that was the rules of the match ? Yes . So then you can't just start telling the story again of like, well, he only beat Brody King here because of interference and distractions. I've seen him beat people on his own. Plus the story of Moxie at the moment is being this more valiant , not babyface per se, but this more valiant, honorable character . Yeah I don't know how I feel about it is the truth because you're a shill. I'm a shill, Tony Khan's paying me all the money. The wedding gift was fantastic, Tony . I didn't know a bank transfer could have that many zeros on. Breadliner than the season tickets for full of actually what it merely was. My partner does not want those . So the death riders, the whole story has been they are not your normal wrestling faction. So they do not behave the way even you would expect from a sort of redemption arc where Moxley's meant to be more valiant at the moment. I think if you ask Moxley, Moxy would go no , my character always what needs to be done . It's up for the like Brody should have cheated before we cheated. Yeah, I think that's probably the thing that does it's not very neat with the how we wrestling storylines generally. Generally when you're a good guy, you're a good guy. You don't cheat . And so far it's more been Claudio Garcia Marina who have been cheating not moxley and this was Claud usingio the belt andx Mleoy capital izing it. So you can't Moxley is did a heelish thing here. But if he wasn't the one who instigated the I yeah, so that does jar, but then there's part of me that's like , okay, I'm on board with Moxley's weird version of not doing a traditional wrestling storyline. This is not a traditional wrestling story, which I really like and that's one of the things that's been drawing me to Moxley. It's why Bully Rose a massive moroc for saying stupid things in his stupid podcast from stupid people. You've got a cover for Tommy Tremor . Did you see the Joey Janella tweet? Oh absolutely. Oh, it's so funny. I try finding . I mean, if you once it was on the front page of Reddit. I tried, like, we didn't want to do the Tommy Dreamer Story stuff on the news because it just feels so weird . And then bully Ray getting involved in all of this . But when I saw that Joey Janella tweet, it did remind me of Batista in his W WE released autobiography does stop the book for a moment and stop telling the story of his career so he can dedicate an entire chapter to how much he hates Buba Ray Dudley. Really? I didn't know that was in there . What does he not like about Buba Ray? Just being one of those guys like isn't yeah it's pretty much what Joey says in his tweet as well is like no one likes him. No one has nice stories to tell about Buba Ray Dudley let me find it sorry it took me a while to get on square circle. B Shay McMahon. Oh yeah, did you see he wants to redo the King of the Ring match with Kurd Angle? Good lord. That'll be fascinating to watch. That's what Tony Carm was meeting them about. All right, here's the Joey Janella tweet. There's no bigger fraud on the Jersey shore than fifty four year old Bubba Dudley sits around at DJ's I guess that's a club or a bar, by himself on Sundays all day, buying groups of twenty two year old girls shots, waiting for someone to recognise him, and when they do and ask for a picture, he tells them to f off The stories never end. When people find out I'm a wrestler, they go, Do you know Mark? Buba Ray's real name, that guy's an FM loser Cool. Hey, I love the Bully Ray run. Yeah, TNA Bully Ray AND it's good stuff. The reason why I was bringing that up is because he was saying that he thinks that Moxy is a terrible character and the death riders have done nothing for AEW. There's been a detriment to it. It's a completely moronic thing to say that you're just doing to get clicks. You are literally doing it to get attention drawn to yourself. It's the Jonathan Coachman, it's the Vince Russo, it's the Mike Kiodya approach to Is it Mike Kioda the one who keeps like doing all the dumb tweets and stuff? I don't know whichever one of the WWE referees it was Luke, it's a work. It's a it's so which is then what you do because you say a thing that makes people click and get angry and then you go, guys , you got worked because you know what great works do tell you it to work. The I guess like we're sort of got off topic here, but that's how this group of people understood heat. And that's how heat worked in the eighties and nineties. You would make people hate you. You would say whatever you needed if you didn't believe it or whatever , because then they would pay to watch you in a match. Yes . I don't, but they're not going to have a match at the end of this. Unless you wanted one. And unless unless this is all building to a aid for subscription tier of Busted Open Radio, Bubba Ray Dudley's own podcast , where challenges John Moxley to a debate. Yeah. Then there's no there's no work because work implies you're building to something. Well, that's exactly it, right? That's what a work does. It's just being a dickhead. Well, the example you gave for, you know, they used to just that's the way they got heat E andC W was, you know, it was like, Hey, your mum's fat and I had sex with her the other night. Do you get people to be hate you? Subu's gonna beat the hell out of him. You then don't go out the following week and be like, I was awake by the way . I didn't really have sex with your mum. I actually think she's a lovely person . Like you know, I don't know if Melts is right when he said it was done to distract from the Tommy Dreamer thing. But the more you think about it probably was though, wasn't it? Because there's no actual endpoint to this being a work other of than he might just be a dick. Yeah . But either way, I only mentioned that because I think John Moxy is a really compelling character and I love the Death Rider storyline and I think it's so multilayered, it's so complex and it's really, really fascinating. So it's when you get moments like this where I'm like, that doesn't quite vibe with the story that I feel like I'm super into at the moment. I wonder if part of it is. So they lost a brodido last week. So the idea is here they almost had to res ort to these tactics in order to get the win . But because the match was brodido and mystico , Bandido's got the match at forbidden door and it's Mystico. That means you have to work over Brody King during the m atch. If it was a brodido and say speedball Mike Bailey, you could have worked over speedball in the match to then put over well when then brodido tagged in. They absolutely match and they just could not find an answer to it. Yeah. Yeah, but the way to tell the story. The majority of the match is built around them working over Brody King and having an answer for everything that he put forward. Yeah, that's that's actually a much better way of doing it. The other thing in the larger scheme of things is Will's taking on swerve this weekend . So it's like if you're taking on swerve and you're part of the Death Riders, we know what swerve does, you've got to, you've got to be more than willing to cheat to take the most dangerous man out . I didn't really tell that story. That's the that's the less that's what I took from this finish , but they if that wasn't the intention, they could have definitely fleshed that out more on screen. Redey interviewed Team Mark Briscoe backstage to hype up the cage match this weekend. Did you see Orange Casty's new T shirts? Oh, he's had this for a couple of weeks. Yeah, this is where is this? Yeah, I think me and Dan spoke about it. It's because when he puts the glasses on brilliant. Very good. Moon Shafir then was still at ringside for her match with Harley Cameron who came out as supergirl supergirl inspired attire. This is to qualify for the survival of the fittest match next week on Dynamite for the vacant TBS Champions hip. Yeah, as soon as Harley came out, trusted Supergirl , which was the go home episode to the release of Supergirl on the network owned by Warner Bros . The company releasing Superg al, I thought, Huh . I thought Marina was gonna win this match coming in I think mummy Oh yeah Yeah, of course, Harley won. She Marina took the whole of the match practically. Yeah, Harley reversed something in the end, which is classic supercal, isn't it? Ropodoke, baby. Permission to be crude . I know who's going to win the survival of the fittest match next week. Italy Cameron because the illusion is she's she's well fit. She's well dressed as Supergirl. She's well fit. We are watching Supergirlue in Oh God an owl We've got to pick up the pace of it. . Well the screening starts in an hour and then there are about three days of trailers . So we should be okay, but yeah, maybe let's maybe not spend so much time on Joey Julia's tweets . That was my fault . I thought we had more time than that . We got that video package for Mayworld and Mercedes Monet. I would argue, I think they should have had an in ring segment. Will Osprey took on ELP in a great match. Will got the win with the hidden blade. I thought like I was watching a Rev Pro show for a moment I know. I loved it. I thought it was so much fun. Will's I felt like in the in the match Will was getting over his striking more because of course the LP is a phenomenal flyer, very athletic as his will. Their match there, but what gave Will the Edge were the strikes, which I in my head canon is what Death Riders have improved for him. Really awesome back and for th stuff and will one with a styles clash and a hidden blade . So then Swerve Strikland immediately came out for his match with Daniel Garcia and in my head I was like oh I can see what's going on here there's eight matches on this card . One of these is going to be a really quick squash match . And the story you can tell is that Will had this back and forth competitive match with ELP that swerves dangerous. So he just goes in there and he just destroys Daniel Garcia and beats him quick ly. And yeah, actually Swerve and Garcia had a really competitive back and forth match as well, which I do think was all the better for it because the match was awesome. Yeah, really good. And you got you got longer to tell the story that Daniel Garcia is in the same group as Will with the Death Riders and just getting over that relationship between them all. At one point Garcia hit a styles clash , but then as the teaching Yeah, it goes both ways and then in an even better finish Garcia put in over Garcia as well because he's not someone you want to be beating quickly. You know, I thought similar for Jack Perry later like really the Zach just squashed Jack Perry to build the Kenny Match? No, bangers . Heatless bangers all of the time. Garcia got to kick out of the house call and that led Swerve to go alright, then I'm gonna hit a hidden blade on you. He h theits hidden blade of his eye. I'm going to show how effective my opponent's finishing move is . I really liked this. And then afterwards he was gonna hit the Verde Breaker on Daser like you know did the beat down, but it was done to just lure Will back down, you know, using his smile. He's like, if I attack this guy, I'm going to make him run back down. So make Will runs down to make the safe. Nana trips Will as he's going to do the hidden blade second time on the show that he fell over and then Swear hit him with the house cool. Set him up for the vertebraker but Garcia made the save and then you hit the Verbreaker on Garcia instead. Good, go home angle. Yeah . And because you've got so many matches, but it's not like match , pause ang,le pause , match . I felt like the angles were woven into the swerve is coming down as well as celebrating. Yeah. So it's not start stop entrance formula. It's everything was woven into each other, which is probably why I felt the eight match card was so effective. Didn't feel like it. Because you did have angles, the angles were just happening in real time during the entrances. Backstage the Don Callas family cut a promo hyping up the cage match this weekend, Max highlighting you know told you why it's pointed this out so it's no secret. I've never kicked out the J driller. It's not gonna matter. It's not gonna matter. He sends Trent and Rocky away and then tells Andradi that he needs to be more on their team. And Don has a new t shirt with one of those paintings where it's him and Max being all muscled up together. Yeah, what's the ghostbusters Vigo Vigo . It always makes me think of Vigo paintings that MJF also got in the way of Andrade's introduction. So simmering tension and then we got Jungle Boy taking on Z ach Saber Junior and collectively we all yes, we all leant forward a little bit. We put our finger our forefinger and our thumb on our chin wrapped our bumps. And I was like hmm, stroke the chin a little bit, like that's a very nice little bit of submission work right there. Oh, that tweaking of the ankle he did is different to the other tweaking of the ankle he did in that other submission. A couple of times this Golf applause. Sounds patronizing, but it's just a different I want to talk to Zach because we were talking about this earlier this week Zack matches . I thought how does the guy work a crowd? If the crowd is silent , is that usually wrestling psychology is based on the noises and the feel of the room, but Zack mostly operates in obsessed silence . How does he know what to do next? I thought was yeah, it's fascinating. It is really, really great. But see, like what I loved about it because you're right , it's not the crowd being silent for his matches because they're bored. They're silent because they're not being just given things to pop for. They've got to work for it. But you know it works because like towards the end of the spring, they just start charting this is awesome . But it wasn't just that WWE style of someone's done a superplex and now you chart this is awesome because there's a double down. This was just I got some point in my life this is awesome. Yeah it's slow building it just gets into that it operates a bit of your brain like nothing else does in wrestling totally engaging. There's this bit so Zack's working over Perry's left arm very methodically in the way he does. And then Jack's making a bit of a comeback. He does the dive outside where you sort of like land in an almost your opponent has you in a backgrapple and you bounce up and you do a bulldog and he bounces up and Zack somehow turns that into an arm bar on the outside. I just went, oh you know, making noises by myself at six AM in the morning watching AW Dynamite is mostly limited to huge spots of like, you know, heel turns or big blood moments or top rope pile drivers, things through chairs. An arm bar, ladies and gentlemen. An arm bar . Immediately after Exero stretched Jack Perry out to the point where he had to verbally submit. It was so good. He had him, he had him in like a leg lock and then Perry is like chopping Zack's chest. So grab the arm. So Zack just grabs the arm and then because, you know, I need my arms so I can, you know, do a bit of gesturing and pos ing. I'll just wrap the arm with a leg instead and stretch out even further. That immediately then went into the young bucks taking on Zach Seconds of Mikey Nichols and Bad Dude Tito of TDMK. And this was at the point where I was like, woof , I need a rest here. Very quick match. Very quick match. That's what I mean, even though this was the relentless portion of I could do with some vegetables here, at least it was brief. Like this wasn't long and it was only by the next match, I was back into the show. There was decent stuff . Bucks got the win. TDMK attacked after the match, Jack Perry and Zach and Kenny ran down to make the save that Kenny and Zack to have a little bit of a standoff. Kenny nearly hidden with the V trigger, but they bailed Zack out of it and Kenny had promised again this weekend it will be one on one and his music played and then Zack ran by further said actually I'm not done talking yet try to stay out of hospital there trying to stay out of the hospital there, Darling. It's the coolest . As soon as Kenny got the mic, I went, Oh no , but actually he cut a it was succinct. It was to the point and crucially he said he's going to beat Z ach Saber Jr. and then he's going for redemption . Redemption is the name of AW's next paper view . So yeah, that's as you would have probably seen the thumbnail of this podcast is Kenny Omega AEW champion . So we'll go through that and some fantasy booking and goddamn Adam Corona . He turns he turns heel, I think we might have to give him the whole patreon If Adam Corona has perfectly cooled six months of aid, is he the new rover or whatever it was that the insiders on Reddit Kermit over here Give him his own show . Yes . We've got a video for Tekkla vs. Stardom. There is so much she's facing at the weekend, but really she's just having a war with the promotion itself. And then Red Velvet took on Queen Arminada for another place in the survival of the Fitness Match next week. Loved this match. So Red Velvet, I find, you know, her matches are always good. I just don't really engage with her character, Queen Arminata, I always love, I always get excited to see her matches . But you know, TBS title Eliminator going through the card so far, this looked like the match that's just on there to have a women's match, another women's match. It was actually not the match of the night because for me that was Zack Saber Jr. and Jack Perry, but I mean maybe the second is certainly in the conversation. I would completely agree with you. What does it take to get a second women's match on TV that's given time, a vacant TBS title and the World Cup? So there's your answers . I thought this was great. I described Queen Aminada in my news as one of those roof type wrestlers that hasn't been clued in that wrestling's a work and now everyone's too afraid to tell them that it's not real so they just beat the crap at you all the time. It was a very physical match in the best possible way. I really enjoyed this Queen Almanada got the win with off with her head which, is a brutal kick. Yeah . Renee interviewed the bucks backstage, but the promo got interrupted by As Copen Christian had a brawl with the dogs and it brought back horrible memories of WrestleMania, the pandemic and Edge having a never ending match with Randy Orton. I am typical Copeland style, a great idea overdum because the bucks are doing the most route one baby face promo. It's the war dogs Copen Christian and the Copen Christian on top and they brawl in front of them, they stop and Copen Christian just look at the bucks and then they carry on. And then all they had to do for me is then brawl through the other door and the bucks go Hm m, well to get to the top. You know, that's all you need . But no . The camera had to follow the brawl into the next room and blah blah blah. War dogs use a makeup gel for a shield as a shield. But I'm sure she would have been fine, you know? It wasn't Beth Phoenix . And then yeah, the war dogs choked them out with cables. Yeah. And then that led into Ricochet versus Konasuke Techa for the International Championship Great Match. Yeah, really good match. Really, really good match. Most other weeks match of the night, but yeah, the great matches on this card. Techa had it all sewn up, but Ricochet pulled the refere e in front of him. That allowed him to get a couple of nearfalls, including the Rico Sault, but Techesha hit the running knee and raging fire to get the win. Yeah, Tekesha was dominated, I'd say, Ricochet started, you know, hot out the gate and Tekha never really got back in until the very end . And then Mark Briscoe closed the show with a promo to hype up the cage match this weekend. So that reminds us actually the conglomeration beat the Death Riders in blood and guts so like as a team they got track records and cage matches. But that was for fun. This time, I've got a goal in mind and it's to get a shot at the AEW World Championship. MGF's a little baby boy. I'm a man. I've got my brother standing beside me but what do you got? The Don Callus family who would not piss on you if you were on fire . MGF Don Callus distracts Mark Briscoe, MJF attacks Mark Briscoe and then Kyle runs in and attacks Mark, Tekesha runs in and attacks Carla Carter runs in and attacks Tekesha. Carla Riley runs in and attacks a carter, Knight runs in attacks Carla Reilly, Darby Allen runs in attacks Kevin Knight, Doyle runs in and attacks Darby Allen. Roddy runs att inack to Doyle, but Doyle's as tall because he's too big. So then Orange Cassidy runs in and he and Roddy attack Doyle and lay him out, then MJF runs in and loblows Orange Cassidy. Andrede then runs in to save Max from getting the JDriller. Andrad theni has to follow Max's orders. So just have all of this brawl happen around the main event in that kind of awesome Osprey who did he face in the it was Mark Davis match a couple of weeks ago have that all going on, you know, maybe get Mark Briscoe and the mic as well at the end to just go well see because I felt Briscoe's promo went on a bit too long and he's a great promo but it went on a bit too long. He didn't really say anything new and the he lost the crowd yeah that's because the crowd were used to just non stop wrestling. I feel like I've two weeks in a row now where Mark slightly lost the crowd with his promo. It's weird as well because he is such a good promo and he's usually very good at getting people in, but I feel like he's just like hitting on all cinders at the moment. But I thought it was a very good episode of Dynamite really enjoyed it because if you like a lot of wrestling on your resting shows, this was the show for you . My favourite storyline in wrestling today got some interesting updates this week. Will feels more at home in the group, Garcia used a stars clash, seemingly learned from new teammate Osprey, Osprey saved Garcia and Garcia took a vertebrated for Will. However, something happened this week that had me scratching my head instead of or praising the story. John Moxley, Claudia Castignoli and we to won their match with flagrant cheating by hitting Brody King in the back of the head with the Continental Title. I've been under the impression that the evolution of the Deathwiders has been not, a baby face turn, but a tweener, less heel turn. They still relish in violence and take advantage of some dirty tricks in the wrestling playbook, but I haven't seen them truly cheat or jump someone in a long time . So this brazen cheating that felt only heelish and not rebuttal or admissible in any way left me disappointed. Still love the episode though, jam that jam. Yeah, that's kind of why I felt I wonder if it's because it was the finish . Like if some cheating was done by Claudio in one corner and then it did that was a kickout spot boom boom boom boom and then Moxley got the win. Or as I said earlier, it was the only way they could actually put rodie gigs. Yeah, I like your way better actually. Raging Mongoose , Mongoose, I guess. Mongoose, sorry. I read Mong first rather than mongoose, which is the actual recent subscriber and first time commentator here. I thought this was a really fun show. The lead up to Forbidden Do has left the shows feeling a little bit directionless at times, but I also think it's maybe a bit overblown due to the hyperfocus we had leading into double or not hing. As an aside, since there has been a little talk, a little bit of talk this week about AEW being a dead topic for discussion with podcasters, has that has that been around? I think this is because I don't know if it's done . I think JD 's Jenny from New York . I think he has said he's going to stop covering dynamics because he said the viewership just isn't there anymore. I thought I'd maybe ask you guys. It's been a bit over a year since you were at that crossroads of maybe not covering AEW in long form reviews, so how have the analytics for your AEW stuff been? However you measure them, both over the year and in recent times ? I would say under the JD , I would probably assert that to the fact that people are now seeing Throw the Grift and that's probably what's not drawing viewers anymore. There's only so long you can keep it up before people get tired of the stick for us, I think actually we have seen a lot more interest with an AEW over the last year city this year and if we do an AEW led thing, it's not like this time last year if we led with an AWS something we were like this is, going to do a ten thousand less. You can't you cannot we couldn't do it. We couldn't do it. But I think twenty twenty six onwards, I think the viewership has actually shown that if you lead with an AW topic it won't hurt you as much if you lead with a WW topic instead. You've got to also look at where why we made that decision last April because it was last April, I think April May . AW wasn't in a good place. It was doing decent programming, you know, the C two and everything, but this was death like the bad death riders time. It wasn't until May, June that the all in stuff started to really pick up with Hangman. And then in my opinion, they'd been on an absolute tear. And we were putting five news videos out a week. And we were going to still cover dynamite on the podcast, but we just weren't going to do it in the WrestleTalk News reviews that week because, you know, we would see in the think people loads of people would we weren't even leading those videos with AW topics , but we could see in the videos where people turn off. Yeah, they would be three minutes into the video , Dynamite Review starts, honestly, half of the people watching would just leave the video which destroys the video's performance. And those videos were always the worst performing videos of the week. But now we've, you know, there's just not as much wrestling news out there , you know, you start to scramble for things to cover and you find yourself doing a couple of videos on Buba A Dudley , which has been so nice not to cover this week. We can focus on things like we're more interested in long term because the Bubb stuffbers , really it's it's a talking point today, but your news episode today is on the decline over the course of a year of ticket sales and creative. Yeah. Which is far more interesting , but not as sexy. No, well, the Bubba Ray story is Twitter is not real life. But that's what it almost feels like it has to be because if you are doing wrestling news videos on a daily basis, well this is what everyone's talking about. But everyone, when you say everyone's talked about, Twitter is talking about it. Yeah. Not everyone actually cares. I hate to belabor the point , but honestly, the patreon support is what's allowed us to not be dictated by views so much because you know, views really for a YouTuber means money. Means, oh, I've got that many views. That means I get more money. Yeah. That's what it comes down to. You need the money to pay the rent and make the videos and pay yourself and everything . But what Patreon has allowed us to do because we've got such support there, we can do this whole podcast today just on AW because we have what we know like we're in a good place with the Patreon support that we get. Same with no roles barred. It's why we can make things that don't make their money back on YouTube because we've got the Patreon support. Cut scene, perfect example. We wouldn't be able to watch Super glue in thirty eight minutes. Oh my god . If we didn't have the Patreon support. No. no money for it on YouTube. Yeah. And it means we WWE stuff over the last year has gone down . AW stuff has gone slightly up, which means the difference between them is less . But overall , it's below what we were doing last year . So So yeah, in terms of what's doing better to answer your question, raging mongoose . AW isn't doing that much better , but because of everyone 's support , we can focus in on the stories we believe are worth covering and the promotions as well. Yeah. Outside of you know, I've talked about the putting out fewer Russk news videos. What we have noticed as well is that because there's not another video that goes up the following day, the video that we put up the day previous has a much longer shelf life and actually now what we are seeing is that over all, the channel is getting more views than if we were putting up like twenty extra videos that we would have been doing. We are getting more views this time than we were this time this year than we were this time last year, putting out fewer videos. Well, that 's a crazy thing . We did this and we were like, well, we're going to get fewer views, but it's okay because of the Patreon. Weirdly, at least at the moment for the last two months , obviously views overall are down because we're just putting out fewer videos, but the per video average view is up substantially. Not many but you know, passionate that they really believe Maya World's gonna win and we're quite dismissive of that because we're looking at this is the match at all in and your women's division needs star power for that . It's clear in my head it's nothing other than Mercedes Monet versus Tech L.ex It's no one else in my world . Mercedes Monet has to win this. Apparently so the original plan apparently was supposed to be Tony Storm was going to win the Owen Heart and then it would be OE it be Tony Storm versus Rom De Railsi. Oh yes, Tech at all. Think Zach's winning . And do we think that Zach's going to win the AEW World Championship at Redemption . Have you just done that thing again where you said the opposite? And it's like, okay, tell me what the main event is without telling me what the main event is . But it does give Max a weird route forward. It's like Max has this Max really should be just facing Mark Brisco . Not all not all it no for the title on forbidden door. Yeah, absolutely . Because right now we've got a match, which is the, you know, probably the main event where Briscoe will likely win. He gets a shot at the AW title. I imagine Briscoe will say and I want it next week . We'll do this on Wednesday. Would to get that out the way and then Max confude with Kenny Omega going into redemption, omega gets the belt there. Can I pick you a different timeline . Swerve wins the ON and it's Swerve MJF it all in and it's just Kenny versus Will in a number one contendership match and you can do the will Osprey title win at next year's Wembley in front of twenty two thousand people obviously I don't like that. I think that'll be a bad move. I don't think that should happen . But yeah, I don't know how they get there. Maybe frickin and you've got MJF and Andrade as three way . Kesta, any Kesta is a new Japan contracted talent. He was a former IWGP champion. Andra was the global champion up until quite recently . I mean, I'm going to pick am Te Briscoe. Me too. It would be really interesting and not out the question for the Don Callas family to win. And just shut it down. And just shut it down. And then Max is like, huh ? Who's gonna face me now ? Kenny comes out instead. Actor, I prefer that. I prefer that than just doing the Mark Bridge. Because I've been like, Oh yeah, Mark wins, they get to the shot of the title, then we go, maybe the more interesting route is that it's not that I feel like Max loves Mark backstage and he wants to do this for him. They've got a long running feud and story that they want to finish . I think they will finish it, especially with this you know, this match here . So that's why I'm going with team Brisco , but I don't know if that's the best thing for the overall picture of AW . I'd agree, particularly because of all of the other challenges that MJ has , I'm more interested in Kenny. I'm more interested in Andrade . Fletcher, yeah, most of the Callus family. Kevin Knight. Yeah, Kevin Knight. So do I want to just get the Mark One out of the way? Or is it actually better just to not do it at all? And so MJF wins.
