I haven't thought of one. Oh yeah's a new be. This is the well yeah, we kind of ditched QR code U even though everyone kept telling Ollie that the QR code joke was old. Yeah, he kept doing it Yeah. Probably then to like troll the QR codes people. Then when people stoped talking about the QR codes, he just board of Yeah So I thought I'll start doing a sponsor thing instead whichich actually has ended up being a couple of sponsors when we had like Hustle in heaven last week, but it also then falls upon me while he's away. Yeah. think of of a gag to think of a gag. And I pressed record and I probably should have had a little pause Yeah, a moment. and think of one and I've now tried to elongate this story out. No I've got it all the time in the world. I'm here all day You' doing a TLC record. Yeah. that's your only deadline. I'm happy to go and get a cff and come back Yeah. so I'veone until three o'clock I I Yeah Yeah figure out Proty past eleven now Yeah Maybe I'll think one before the. That's how these podcasts along. because Luke can't come up with a gagon time. I really enjoyed the ending of a Tuesday podcast. Yeah no, it was look, people were upset because we didn't go three hours on reviews No, we don't short. I don't want to short change them. This is it. I've learned my lessons. you know, If you get like you neg me enough, I'm going to start paying attention Oll is Oh Dan talks too much. Oh Dan Dan's the problem. Even Ollie's podcasts go too long fine. What what happens? No, no, what's the word anecdotes, nothing. Yeah. I did this on Monday. I did a game of Blood in the Clock Tower and I have always been quite vocal in that I hate the zombble as a dem cl. I hate it. hate it. I think it's a rubbish character. I think it's a rubbish mechanic. I think it makes the game too long. partarticularly if you've' got a mastermind, I think it just It makes the game broadly unplayable or at the very least unfun to play. And so I always keep saying I'll never put a zombble in the bag. I thought No, no, we like it. we like it. So I put one in the bag and I proved my point because the game went too long, no one had fun playing it And then they tried to pretend that they had fun playing it. but we all know that we all got really tired because I did it as the second game of the evening. The pub was supposed to close at ten. It was twenty to eleven that we still hadven't finished the game and the bamers there Tapping his watch I'm like, I know, I'm trying to finish this game, but these clowns won't find the demon. This is it. I play with fire, you get burned. So I proved my point. And I'll be proving my point by giving you one word answers to everything you try. Every conversation you try and raise. This is going to be a fifty minute podcast in and out. I also wonder as well, if this is someone's first podcast and they're of like k I like, I see these guys a lot on YouTube Maybe I'll give them a go. and we're like And then you four minutes into this podcast and have yet to mention the word wrestling. And how much of that is my fault Very little. But also this is you got you've got to be honest about where you everyone needs to sink in. Everyone needs a moment to like settle into a podcast. That's what this is for E though people said they didn't have I felt people didn't have fun. They're all pretending that they did. becauseuse that's all text me afterwards and they bere like, that was a great game. I know that they're lying. Yeah, they don't text you when they've actually had fun. They only text you Anyway, on today's show we're going to be reviewing AEW Dynames, but we will also be talking about is there a point to WWE's counter programming that they're doing against AEW. Is is like a long strategy thing that WW had been doing. this is not like a recent thing. People been like,h you know, loads last year. That's when they started doing it. I mean, this dates back to when they first started when AW was like launched. They moved NXT off the network onto the USA network Yeah, like two weeks before AEW Dynamite debuted to directly run against AAEW Dynamite We had the fun side by sidees on that first episode. Absolutely we did. Yeahah. And NXT felt like the only show that was trying to do counter programming. the other one was just doing the show that they would have done. And they were like, we got Finn Bowerss return. and's turn heel D. So they've always been doing this. And NXT's always been used as the pawn within this game Last year it was, I would say it was ramped up. last year it was like anytime AEW announced a show there'd be an NXT show that would be announced to run against it it was over the all in weekends last year, WWE did U the Satday N' main event with Goldberg's retirements to kind of run against it and then they also did evolution evvolution the following day. I think it might have done an NXT show as well. Sounds about right. Like brand three show basically against all in U See they've done it a lot And it's never worked Right. And I think this is kind of the point I think people are now getting to. They announced over the weekend that they're doing it again when it comes to all in when it go to Weembley Stadium. They've announced a double header show AAA and NXT whichich eventably means it'll be like a three hour show because AAA runs from midday until three PM And then the NXT show starts on the CW, which will already run for like two and a half hours as well. So they're running like a six hour block to try and counter All end And Well, they need to have a long show because you know, Tony the book's a long show. Well, that yeah, and you know, and also what's point in kindnter programming if you're gonna to give them onlyly three hours is it? Well, that's kind the other thing I've always thought about. It was like, what a weird thing to do because you're not kindn of programming the whole thing. It's just a portion. but it's the time I heard the paper notes, which we'll get into in a little bit But they did it with the Great American Bash this previous weekend as well to run against forbidden Door. And the results are in and the Great American Bash did a terrible rating. Right There three hundred ninety four thousand viewers. Yeah. Not a great number. that's like way down especially for what is effectively PLE on tell me. Continue talking, I'm doing some research. Okay. Aurely on Network TV the on the CW, notot a great number Dave Meltzer pointed out that the same time the previous week did five hundred sixty thousand viewers, although I think that might have been a slight bump in the rating, I think if you go back a couple of weeks before then It's a roundab aboutout sort of what the NXT number did do. So last week might have been an anomaly. Either way, this is down from what NXT would normally do on the CW when you had multiple hardle matches, essenti a takeover. Yeah, show. So not a great number. And John Albber made this point I just don't see the upside in continuing to do this. Pting your heads ahead with these big AEW shows for the sake of it is being a big disservice to a lot of the NXT talent. The main event deserved more eyes. There are so many days of the week and tim slot to choose from And Dave Meltz replies to that saying, I think they perceive this as a crucial time for AEW. They'll sacrifice their own numbers to kill it, as it hass been clear since twenty nineteen. At first it's hard to understand why right now, but it does make sense based on long term side. So then What's say you? Well I mean the little research I was just doing there was to see if there were any and there was no World Cup match on. like there was no the knockouts have just died. Canada played. it was eight PPM our time, which doesn't cover it and then the next game wasn until Monday afternoon our time. So like there was nothing to compete with forbidden door or explain that number away other than Um That's a lot going on that weekend. It wass been four shows over. Look, you know, we're a wrestling podcast speaking to wrestling fans. People like to watch wrestling television Honestly only so many hours in a day you can listen unless you are ing of the Neurodiverse. There are only so many hours in the day that you can enjoy even something you would doore. like my favorite song rightight now, I'm obsessed with Jay Lo's new single I can't listen to it too much M I will stop wanting to listen to it and I'll get a bit bored by. And then'll come back around, but this happens. it was almost happening with the World Cup a little bit. I watched every single match of the first Yeah, the first the first round of group games. T many games. Well too many team. I was having a really good time because I like to see every team play. And then for the second bit I was like, I'm going to carry this on And then life happened and I was like actually, I'm allright with just seeing the highlights, or missing that one 'cause there's too much and if you're not careful you sort of overdo it a little bit. It's nice to have a breakown again. You might say an off season is useful So like, I don't see it helping anybody really. and in today's viewing economy where we've got my AW, we've got The Netflix. Th are where I be getting our two shows I watch it when I want to watch it. understand You know, we talked about this on on the review. We were a wedding on the night of Night Champions, so we didn't see it life so we were given spoilers and you are always running against that danger. There' still a sense of like live TV, you have to be there to see it. So which way are you gonna to your attention, but it's not like WW you choosing your own suumers sllam against All in Yes. It's not like they're choosing to run huge money in the bank shows or something like that against big AW pPs. They're running subsidiary esssentially training companies, which is why I've always thought it was the smartest move. Right. When they first act did this twenty nineteen, I was like, this is a genius move because it's a win win Because if you ran I feel like you moved SmackDown in twenty nineteen. if you'd moved SmackDown on Fox against it and that it didn't work of sudden AW is beating you. The high likelihood is you would have won that war quite easily so But if you hadn't, then that would have been really bad for you. But if it's an XT If NXT beat you, it's like ourur developmental brand beat you. If NXT doesn't win, it's like,'s only our a developmental brand. Yeah. It's an absolute win win scenario for them But the point when NXT went up against them in twenty nineteen and why they still do it now and why it is always NXT is it's never to beat them. It's to hurt them So with NXT, when they started running against them in twenty nineteen, it was never to beat them in the rating. It was just to take ratings from them. becausecause if they could have done to you know, I think they I'm always going to see these numbers for thegument' sake sake of argument Thigure it to be like one point one million NXT going on made it eight hundred thousand So's three hundred thousand deficit because they chose to watch NXC. So then when they go to re up their deal their ratings are worse than what they could have been had WWE not been there. That's the idea. That's the reason why they do this. Why do you run these shows against AEW PayPiews to have payPiew buy rates? is to remove to ten thousand buys from them. That hurts AEW's bottom line, but crucially hurts their relationship with HBO. because people aren't ordering it through HBO. HBO could be looking at and be like, well You didn't we didn't get as many buyer rates from this as we thought we were going to on this service. That's why they do it. I think NXT iss It's an unfortunate pa this game. I think it sucks for NXT because it is a good show. I still think NXT broadly is actually the better show of the three that they put on basis WWE, but they are just being used as the sacrificial lamb just to hurt, but in like doing so Just hurting your own product, hurting your own show. Yeah, because it doesn't I don't know. if I'm I would be inclined to watch an NXT payer view or an NXT big show or whatever you want to call it But if I've got other things on at the same time thats it's like I made the joke at the start of our review on Monday, Sorry NXC you got bumped. Like it's not the one that I'm going to be tuning in to see. Also I mean, this is not new and this is not WWE specific It's not wrestling specific, you know, X factactor and strictly Gilm dancing was a big, you know Battle of the ratings in the early nineties or the mid nineties rather. Saturday night telelots are very important in the That's our version of Friday night. I think America has Friday night and Absolute night. Yeah. becausecause it was a thing even like like even daytime TV that with pointless would run like certain days of a week, but then ITV did their one, their competing show Five days a week. so BBC moved pointless to five days a week to make sure to try and compete against cororonation straight East standard Exactly And in wrestling terms You know, it's the Mondon No War DVD that from two thousand two that I'm quoting here, so whatever, but it' Eric Bishoffs wors, I'm quoting to also, whatever. But you know, he sort of says, you know, when he's looking at his payerbiew model, he's like, how like Ted Turner says, what do you got to do to compete with the degree Give me prrime time on Monday night. likeike thinking he's never going to do it go right head to head, then they do the payerview model. We moved it to seven payer views, Wiew to seven. So then we moved it to ten. they moved it to ten. Well, why I do one a month and everyone and it's say, well, you're competing with each other This is just competition is good for wrestling. Competition is good for wrestling. More places to go is good for wrestling U You are not I'm also interested in this conversation around people who are AW fans versus people who are WWE fans because In terms of taste, there are people who like Lots of different things, right? lotots of different styles of things, and you could like both WW and AW. I surprisingly count myself amongst both of those things But there are people who are just AW fans and there are people who are just WWE fans. I don't know that many of the fans who are of the specific brands are really going to be involved in that. It's that middle ground. how big is that middle ground? of the Venn diagram. Yeah, That's the question, right? How big is that? And actually when you are a company in a hot street as WWE were a few years ago If I'm picking between the two, we're probably going to watch that one because AW were in a slow stick. AW right now are in a really good position W or not. So right now, if I'm having to pick between the two, I' probably go that way because that's the one that's the most intriguing to me at the moment. And these shows feel more like a naked attention grab than a ide an alternative, you know what I mean? That's exactly where I'm. because I think I've said this before on the show, but I think there are two camps. And like if you are an AEW fan you're not going to be tempted to watch the AAA NXT heatwave six hour bonanza. You're not, because you're going want to watch all in. Yeah. Conversely, if you're a WWE AAA NXT fan You're not going to be swayed by all in because you' probably like that is this is your team that you have picked. You're not going to then go across to even if like all in puts on Kenny Mega usus will Ospray. You're interested in these characters over here. These are you want to see, I want to see Will Cruz and I want to see Rain Leuz, like I wantan to pick my guys, Don Diiangela. These are the people that I' super into. Dominate mysterio. El Gnde Americana. I pick these people over here. And the ones who are the swaying audience I think you're probably just gonna to buy all in because to your point earlier, the other ones are easy to watch on demand. Yeah I can watch that later. I can watch it later. Tribleays on YouTube And NXT, if you're in the UK, it's on Netflix. And actually often if the show is good enough, it'll survive a spoiler. Like I think of theight the grandays. like I knew the result of that match. Yeah. It was WrestleMania weekend bit busy Was it Rinay weekend?, it wasn't Rustining weekend. they showed it them on raw like a couple of days ago. Why were we here Why were we here? Yeah. Is it clash in Italy? It was clash in Italy. Yeah. So there was already stuff going on that week I think you went Yes and yeah, now that you've said that I has joed because we sat here and we were talking about the result of it before I'd se the match. So there was something going on. I think it was Cash in Italy. Yeah. And then like three four days later, I'm like, right now I' going to sit down and watch this because it was apparently so good, it's worth watching it. Sometimes, especially when you're a bit busy and you listen to our review of a paper view, an AW per view, WW paper view. That's what you're going to then seek out because you've heard it's good. So like We do watch things slightly differently than we used to. Yeah. And ye that works for Payer view as well. Like if you decide to watch NXT and AAA's heat wave But then you hear that the main events of all in was like the six star extravaganza, you can buy the payPiew afterwards. Yeah. you can buy the replay. Yeah. So you might buy the replay to watch it. you know, vice versa. Yeah. So I think that's kind of where I fall down on this of I think it need Cannter programming is a part of tey, It is a part of sport, it is a part of wrestling So I've got no issue with them doing counter prorogramming But I don't think it's actually doing the damage that you think it's doing If anything, the only people it's really damaging is yourself Like you are only sc you are not scoring any goals. I feel like they're scoring more own goals than they are scoring goals Yeah. I think it's so interesting because I'd love to chat to them about it because when you say they're scoring more own goals. Do they consider what? do they consider it an uncle? Do they consider it? Well, you know, we didn't get? I don't know five hundred thousand viewers. So or they like we scored two goals on them. Right. So yeah like, you know, we scored five sure we scored five own goals, but we scored two on them. Right. That that's, you know, that's really what the game was But I'm thinking do they consider it an own goal at all? Like what do you consider an own goal in that context? I would consider an own goal of putting on a show that very few people watched, Right You know, compared to your weekly television show that had major title matches on it and a couple of title changes. Yeah. I would consider that to be an ownn goal. Right. And then the question is do they consider it to be an ownn goal? Yeah. And if they don't, I would have questions for them like, why don't you think this is goal? Yeah. don why why And are they then arguing about I' show you a picture. And it but it's yeah, it is interesting. I mean, I get exhausted by it just because it's so So much of it I wrestl And I can't like but I also find it really interesting thinking about the sort of factional element of it. because for a long time, when papview were shifted to Saturdays, which I think an awful lot of people went, oh, great, thank you. actually, that's really nice.. Areciate that That meant that collisions were often running against payeriews. those collisions died They did. and that wasn't a counter programming thing, but it was certainly a consequence or a nice bonus, you might think or whatever for the WWE side of things. because it was during WWE's huge hot stream. Yeah. But then you'd see and a decidedly cold collision stream. You know, I think dynamite even the when AW wr their worst Dynamite was not Dynam was here, Cision was here. Yeah one hundred percent. It's only been like the last six months or I think you can say that collisions r started to tick back up. Yeah. interestnterestingly on readder the time I'm not on it anymore. so I don't know. quite if it's still the case, but you would often find on the wrestling subs Im AW fans bombing with collision clips and it could be like major shock at collision and it's like You know, Tony Ghvanni remembember some's name. Like I don't know, or like so hu huge return and it's Abrey Edwards has returned to collision or whatever. it's not a big deal. But they're posting big, big, big stuff to block out WWE Yeah. And I always found that quite interesting because that's a fandom thing where it's like when you the whole the whole line of What's what's the thing about to be an AW fan is to constantly be under attack or whatever that line that went around was. I have no idea what that line is. I think I read it somewhat. I'm gonna find it. to constantly be under attack. Get out man. Like you know, I'm not a huge fan of this like go out and touch grass thing because I think it's a little bit played out, but also at the same time Go out and touch some grass. Like have you know, go out and have a pipe with your mates. Have a chat about something else. If you're spending your time like post bombing read it We know who was he said it to come the ultimate during that time as well. G go out and have a pint with your amaz. Tony Khn gives his thoughts on the IWC on Twitter and says to be an AW to be AW is to be under constant attack Because they never seem to get the benefit of the doubt online, even when the quality of the shows deliver. But like that was the thing that was there. and I agree with you where used used to be so defensive. Yeah. Yeah. the smartest thing that man ever did was and I don't know if he did do this, but it feels like he did get some PR training and get some social media training because his social media game is so much better, evenven though I quite enjoyed trollsro. I always find it tricky because I was like, don't Because when you're the head of a company, I want you to I almost want you to not be a fan. Yes, you know what I mean? Like obviously I want to care about the product, but I want you to behave publicly like the head of the company rather than a fan. And then and then if you want to book like a fan, that's your business. Yeah. But no, but that kind of thing is interesting because it was that sense of And I think that's why AWB fans are so passionate sometimes to the point of, you know, extreme because they feel that Um, this insurgent company that saved us saved us from decades of monopoly where we were presented with contemptuous levels of nonsense by that mainstream. And if you were a wrestling fan that was really the only place that you could go and WWE is synonymous with wrestling and interchangeable as a phrase with people. So for them, the existence of AW is crucial. and needs to be protected at all costs. And if you are it was this that Kat Dennings tweeted, Ohh no, I enjoyed Summer sllam or something like that. And someone went really disappointed in this if you like actual wreling to watch AW. And it was like Kat Dennings is probably fine. But but there is that sense that they have And so that's when when we get into the counter programming thing where it isn't like strictly an X factor, where it isn't like Coronation Street and East Enders, I assume days of our lives and general hospital. An soap opera in the US. I actually can't name more than Days of our lives. I know it was a real show. Yeah, I watched a ton of it when I went through a breakup once. it was on CBS drrama in the UK. thought it was made up fun And it was the first first two episodes I saw of it, there were exxorcism storylines. I was so in. Anyway, but like That's where it's different because there is that sense people don't people chant AE d. like they care for the company Yeah as much as they care for their And the wrestlers and the wrestling. That's not something that my brain has ever done. And I think that's where AW fans and myself clash is I'm not I don't love the company. You know what I mean? So for me I look at this kind of program and I go, o, whereereas they look at it and they go like, this is there to hurt us. This is there to damage us and try and take away this thing that we view as precious Yeah. And I think that's a really interesting part of this conversation. that's only a fan aspect for it, but on the flip side of that, that is what WWR looking to do. And the reason why to do this is to not hurt the fans, but to hurt the Yes Do you hurt AEW because if you hurt the birates, if you hurt the ratings, if you hurt attendance that impacts them in the long run. which is kind of what Meltzter's point is and I think Melta iss completely right on this, into the short term just hurts NXT. This just hurts AAA. This just makes WWE look kind of pathetic and a little bit weak minded, fragile you might say. But in the long term when AW come to re upp their next TV deal All of their numbers are lower than what they were the last time Then that's going to hurt their numbers. when they get the deal or may not even get a TVDal. They give the numbers if they can hurt them enough to that point. That's why they do it. So and that's why it's a pan. whichich then sacrifice your porns for your bigger pieces. Which then becomes ironic because I then think of another quote from the one that I wore EVD, where Vinince McMah was talking about Ted Turner And he so said, U My philosophy was don't likeike focus on yourself, donon't hurt the little guy or the other guy.. No know, I agree. But like that was the thing and he says, I think Ted Turner had a different philosophy And I actually think that that crap being spouted by one of the pettiest and you know men in history of the world and that's That's very lightly penciled, let alone like the actual things that we could say Um I do think that's a really good philosophy because ultimately, Sure. Okay, AW had a big TV deal How does that ultimately massively negatively impact you if you're focus on yourself and doing a really good job? If you're doing the best job possible, like think about your TV deals and you think about your if they get a good deal on a TV show, and you produce even better work bigigger numbers than them actually benefits you And you can say, like, well, hang on, AW you' got that over there. So if you think of football transfers at the moment, Spurs have just spent one hundred eighty five million quid on two players that frankly are not worth one hundred and eighty five million quid becausecause they've paid that Now, if you want to buy a player that is similar value, that club who is selling that player could quite reasonably go, hang on, well the market value is over here. Yeah. So if the market value for AW is higher WWE's market value stands to reason should be higher So this is another one where I'm like I don't actually it feels a little bit cutting off your noses by you face sometimes. And I think that is really it, right? And I think that's where WWE are at the moment. it does feel like AW are the ones who are kind of focusing on themselves and just doing their thing. And it's kind of like you know, it's opp pressive like Tony, what do you make of this? It's like, Well, you know, it happened to Jim Crockett and now it's happening to us, evenven though Vincean on that DVD, which is like,, we like to focus on our own shows Bolderash thing to say. I forgot he said that. Yeah, yeah. in a very humble way. Yeah. what a DVD that is. That's a great.'s So so good. I love it. You know, it's certainly one version of history, but I' that spils went to theictors, I suppose. I do love that version of h Yeah Um and yeah. I remember when and I still think they might do When WW announced WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia There were a few people who said, I was one of them. You were one of them AW should do a big show. I'm taking credit for it. I'm sorry. like we did the podcast quite early on and I was I surprised Olly by suggesting they do it because he hadn't thought about it. So I'm taking full credit for this idea. If AW and they should should run UK or like American shows and it would not counter prorogram WrestleMania because that's at an earlier time Stvers Yeah get on it. do shows. I would do so bunch of indndie shows around the area, Make wrestleing your weekend. What another gambling pun We' got double nothing' got all in Um slots ships down call the. I'm good at the idea. I had like thirty dollars to my nck because I had to put money the credit card thing. My credit card thing didn't work I had to put my debit card down and I didn't tell my bank that I was going abroad. And this was early days when no one traveled anywhere. Yeah so they thought that my card had been stolen because I used it at an airport. so they just cancellled my card, didn't tell me and I didn't find out until I got back. So that's why my card wasn't working But I made it my mission to try and find the Twilight Zone slot machine. Yeah, because I knew that there was one in Vegas, but but I could not find where it was. So I just walked around all of the casinos trying to find it. Honestly, lobby serving is the best thing to do in Vegas. It's so fun. I was really surprised a few people thought that it felt like a show that was quote, cobbled together sort of compared it to my GM modes, post pay view shows when you've got no one available, so you just sort of throw matches together. Yeah. and I' there wor I was like Jeff wrestled, Mark Briskco Ospy wrestled, Johnoxley Wrestled Last time I was on the Dynamo review, I thought the show was brilliant start to finish, it was another post payer view dynamite and I thought it was like great scene setting for a load of stuff you know, the sharks circling at JF and I thought the matches were fantastic. I thought everything made sense it was it was driving things along This one I didn't enjoy as much I still felt it was a really strong 's an interesting time period because We're setting up towards redemption but we're also setting up towards Wembley. So you've kind of got one eye on the longer story, but you're also looking at the smaller ones. So like, what do you do? There there was a I match on the show that I felt mive underdelivered And elsewhere, I thought everything was really laying the table very nicely. To your point, it's not just that we're building towards redemption and we're building towards Wembley. We're also competingst the World Cup Yeah. so we're doing things like having MJF versus Mark Briscoe open this show and actually USA were playing Yeah. exactly. And last last week there was another game that they were competing against. So they absolutely stacked the show and they put like one of twelve matches on the car next week they've got you know, next week they've announced Carl Fletch and C N next week is nonsense They've anou a women's casino Gauntletts match that I'm trying to do calendar gymnastics. I don't know if any of the released stars from like the post WrestleMania releases can be like if Kyrie Sing could be in an entry in Right, right. And you've also got Kenny Mega versus MJF. So are You're juggling three balls Yeah at the moment. And I do agree with you. I don't think this is like Blowway episode of it. But it was only a newsworthy episode of it because I genuinely am surprised that we got We' getting Kenny versus MJF next week. Cuming that all of Kenny's promoos have been about redemption, the name of the next is called Rdemption. It makes me feel that something's happening next week. I wonder You know, I' sort of jumping around a little bit here. I've kind of got two world views next week, maybe three Can he just wins? that'sertainly one world vam. Worldview two is Hangman Adam Page returns And he helps Kenny win and you do Kenny versus MJF for all in do Keny verses win it all in ld view number three is they do a time limit draw And they go the full hour. and it's Kenny versus. MJF doing that with opening the show That's it. that's the because they've got three other matches announced for next week. Yeah Champer and Champer and Champer and Garano then, Champer and Jericho The Women's Casino Gauntlet and Tekestra versus Fletcher. Yeah. With your twenty minute overrun, you can do that in the hour and twenty you got afterwards So I can I do see a world in which there's a time an hour long time limit draw next week. Yeah. So Kenny doesnn't lose MJF doesn't lose. But MJ can still claim you didn't win, therefore you shouldn't get the title shot. So I guess theres it's almost like a a legal loophole Well let's run through the show because then we can start unpacking think because I feel like I feel like what could and could not happen is sort of based on the little the narrative stuff in this in the episode, which was really good. Love this opening. It's after Forbidden doors. It's a repeat of last that's what I mean by putting it in mind of last time where they had them backstage. Yes, exactly. Yeahah with Willan Yeah So got Will celebrating after he's won the O in with Alex Wins next to him that he sort of pushes Alex Windsor away because J his other boyfriend's here. And Alex and Renee went for a nice wander while he talked to John. becauseuse I was like the rest of the thing I was like, Is she just standing there awkwardly like just off screen? Our husbands are chatting. Yeah. So we'll go. We'll go and have a little Pcco. So anyway, like so he's chatance to Mxley. And Moxy's like, you know, u I meant what I said when I said it's within you This place could be great. Wrestling is run by Karnies that and the other endage. basasically the crux of this is he offers him a spot in the deeathwilers, officially inducting him into the group. And he gives him little patch that little patch that he can iron on to get out on It's like eightes and eights. We're going to patch you in And then he's like, yeah, know he's holding onto this and then talalking and he runs into Kenny Omega. And Kenny Omega's just looking at this patch. He's like, look, I know you're looking at this patch. You know the thing that I'm mad for going with the deeath riders, but just because you're giving up on your dreams of being worldor Champion, I'm not And I'm going to Weembley and I'm going to win the AEW World title And MJF then walks up to the pair of them. and This little interaction that he has here because willill keeps talking about you're the guy I want to face Yeah for the W Tyler Wembley fuels what Max does later on in, you know in in a couple of seconds time because Kenny sayswimJF, If you managed to beatmark Brisco on Wednesday I am going to be knocking new door. I am coming for that title MGF just ignores him and he just looks at Will and he says, I will see you at Weembley Brov. Yeah in MJF's mind, don't care what the internet and podcasts and will Osprey keeps talking about. I am the main event of All in, whether you like it or not. Yeah. I first of all really enjoyed the idea of John Moxley with a little ziploc bag of patches that he chooses to give people. or has he had this one made because now Do he make them on demand? Does he just keep them in case?? I really enjoyed that. Based on the campus of that house call into the locking eyes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He got the. He's had it ready for a while Um, I it's drama, man. I like the nice little dynamics of everything that you can see. When what you want is to create Uh uh u pictable outcome that is predictable in the best way, by which you mean, that's the one I think we're going to see and I hope we do But you want to keep enough avenues alive that you could go down any angles. And when you have the literally the three of them standing in a circle and you go I remember those two all in last year twenty twenty four. that was really good. I remember you know, this drama here? it could be Kenny and MJF, What if it was tririple? What if it was these two? What if it's Kenny and willill, like what like you want to be able to see all of the different avenues even if you know which one they're going to go down because you don't want it to feel obvious. You want it to feel Exciting And I think they achieved that in this segment. So I'm not ignoring you. I'm just trying to find dates of things because it' sort of like help AW exemption. What do you mean? AW exemption? Iyped in Rdemption more than I did anything else. I know I misspellt it. Re I thought that was the name of a new show empt Because theyre getting to way do exemption if everyone's notowed to challing for the belllt, are't they? Okay so it is going be reempted then it's Grandlam Mexico. I was just trying to sort of work out my dt and then it's all. We've got three. We've got three shows because I'm thinking of the Andradee thing. I'm like, I'm prettyhing back to Grandslam, Mexico match and they're very much setting up him versus MJF. not the whole directions has been him versus MJF We'll get on to that in a second. I distracted myself somewh, but I agree with you. I like all the drama of this And I do think that what What happens next is fueled by MJ of obsession Annoyance that he is not being talked about as the main event of all in because he has this match with Mark Brisco. I thought it was a really good match. I really enjoyed. MJF is doing a sort of like I'm not saying it's how long he's doing it for, but he's always going for his knee. likeike he's seing his knee like after the tombstone that he did to Rouche He's it's not part of the match. It's not the story of a match, but it's the story of him within a match Yeah that his knee is giving him some some issues. jip. He reopens the wound that Mark Briscoowe had, which I think is nice for Mark's character that you probably should have waited. Yeah after doing the cage cage match. like you You didn't need to do this on Wednesday, but you're Mark Briscoe and you opted to and because of that MJ had an easy thing to do which straight away. We openen you and up and But ye, Mark did his mark things, cactus jack elbow off the floor to concrete. He did a froggy bow from the top rope to a floor through the table. thoughtought of you? Yeah, ye, I'm keeping shom. Clearly it just is a thing. and apparently it is, like, you know, it it's always been a thing in AW. Fine. Yeah, fine. I don't like it. That's. I that's what I said on the show as well. I don't love it, but at least it's been consistent. Consistency isn't yeah, yeah, like fine. And then there's another DQ thing coming up later on the show by the way, we'll talk about that one we that. In the survival of the Fit match Yeah. It was't no DQ match? Well, not, according to the commentators, is not? We'll have a conversation. I. Iith thought it was. anyway, Mark h's the J dririller, and I think it's a real testament to how well they've built up this spot in the feud and you know, the interactions they've had that I really popp for it. Even though I was I knew that MJF was winning here. Mark Brisco' not winning the AW World Sight and you know mad enough Derby won it. I don't think Mark Briskco's going to win it. I still bought it into it, but you' b to get it same with Bandido a few months back where it was like I I think had he just won it back off Darby or something like that. But MJF and Bandido had a great match on Dynamite and it was the match was so good that you started to think, Oh hang on could they. And that's all you're actually looking for in wrestling is to believe that It might happen. It near falls happening. Exactly. I was going back to that the triple threat they had on one of the double or nothings, where Kenny was defending against Orange Casty and Pack. Yeah. And I was like there's no way that Kenny's losing the title here. This is an easy dub for Kenny But the work was so good that I bought into all of the airfalls. L that's the sort of drama of magic wresting. So I really enjoyed that. And then MJF hits this Alabama slam. J just rocks like Mark Briscoe into position for MJF to hit the heat seeker. I thought that was absolutely brilliant. Yeah. Can win Four ms. So that was really good Kind of made Kany's promo a little bit silly when he then came out. becausecause MJF hits him the dynam R ring, he's beat him down Kenny runs out to make the save, MJF Bailes And Kenny's like, ye, yeah, you run out of here. You may cheat your way to win. I'm like,y just won that one. Yeah clean' a whistle. If anything? Mark Brisco. I mean, the Ip he's toy up with Mark Biscco's in the table, so Yeah. He on my face But he said, I'm gonna would't you come and face me for that title Tonight And Max, of course like no Oviously not, obviously nots No, I'm going to do it. No, you get to the back of line. What have you done for me lately? And he walks to the back and this is where the hubris of Max kicks in. because he's got this huge level of annoyance that he's not being talked about as the main evvent of Weembley. But also he's too annow of Kenny Omega It' kicked out the one winged angel I'm gonna to put a stop to this conversation Ne week Me usus you. But if you don't win, you can never challenge for the AEW World title again It worked so well for him when he did it against Hangman Adam Page This is a guy I've beat him twice. I've kicked out of his well protected finishing move. This and finally They can acknowledge that I this main event. I think this is a brilliant character work from Max. complepletely. I mean ot twist Jeff is good a character. is what this is all part of why he's one of my favorites certainly of this generation because he's not only I think and you see it He carries so many things. He carries the ability to be vicious and you want to see the worst things happen to him because he's such a good heel U He also has a charm about him that makes better than Ebeabe work. and, you know has has Some of the best in ring Christmas of his generation. I think he's fantastic and then can do a silly sort of big you know nonsense match like we saw on Un Forbidden Door. And then the next few days later comes out with this business. and think I think he's so complete as a wrestler that in a way I go, Well, yeah, why aren't you part of the conversation? Like know I know we love the idea of Kenny and Will and I know we love the idea of that at Webley Stadium. But MJF is the three time champion, right? And he's got previous at Weembley Stadium as the world champion and against Will Osprey. Exactly. So why aren't we talking about it? So I've been on this road for so long. Yeah. like when they announced the out I was like, okay, you do will versus MJF. It's a rematch of the match that they did a couple of years ago. It's a story of the rights itself. It's only until recently because everyone wass talking about this Keny. I'm like Maybe it is going be Kenny, but I keep coming back to Wh what does MJF do? So then I was like, okay, Hangman Page comes back and you could do Hangman S MJF. Is that a big time match for MJF? It sort of is, but I feel like he still should be in this conversation of being in this main event of Weembley. So now say what Keny said at the end of the show and then we'll talk about what I think might be altter. Okay. do you want to jumphead? Sould we jum ahead that now as? may as well. I think you're right we' jp to that now. So Kenny comes at the end Will Osprey stops him. there's a show long storyline of Kenny having to make the decision if he's going to do it on This is really good backstage setving with the Bcks, where Matt's being like This is not a good idea. It's like, you know, it didn't work well out well for Kody Rhodes. It did not work out well for Hang Manan Page. I don't think we should doing this. Nick Jackson'd be like, Kennyager that' a great idea. you're definitely going to beat him next week. Yeah. And then willill comes up to him And he's like, L, I really want you to think about because like Will looks him as like, I know you're gonna go get there accept this, but I really want you to think about you're about to go out there and do. And Kenny looks at him and says, you when you broke your neck, that was at your bottom, this is my death I want if I'm gonna go out I'm going to go out all guns blazing And they hug. and he goes out and He says, You know guys, I've been doing this for thirty years. I've been doing this longer than over half my life. Over half of my life, I've been doing this. and Will believes that I can do it The young bucks believe I can do it. You fans believe that I can do it Maybe there is one more ride for Kenny Omega as AEW worldorld Champion. I could become another cody. I could become another hangman. and the question is, is the cost too high? And the answer to that is no I am the cleaner, I am the best bout machine and a lot of people say I am the God of pro wrestler So we accept the challenge. Ne week, MJFSus Kenny Me if Kenny Luty can never challenge with the AEW Wlds title again MJF attacks him from behind. Canny, you know then they have never pull apart braw? That's the end of the show So it's just interesting to me that when the pull apart b rol was happening, I was like all three of these people and we saw the big three triangle at the start of the show I don't know how they do it. I don't know narratively how you manage it, but I wouldn't be averse to watching all three of them at ones all in because I think First of all, I do understand that there is something about The singles match Um the specifically, you know Will and Kenny. I understand, you know, it's not it's it's not just a match It's incredibly special for a number of reasons. And yet Some part of me goes, yeah, but there's so much to play with The fact that they're doing this, the fact that it wasn't You could quite easily have done Okay. You can challenge me redemption But if you lose that, you'll never fighting for this bt again Think about think on that for next week. and then they wouldn't have had an overun. They could have just finished their show. And then they could have had it could have been a whole thing. what will Kenny's decision be? They could have built it, you know, is he going to do it? You know, that could have been the story leading into redemption. Well, they actually, I just checked they haven't there's nothing competing against next week dynam.. That' far as I can tell. Wh the? just.' on it. Let's jack it We're off to the beach lads, pack of lunch. I have a beach sandwich and' watching this episode of Dynamite. F place. As well they should. Honestly, I saw that, I was like, it must be a big game next. Yeah As far as I can tell, there's nothing So The fact that they're doing the match then makes me go, okay so what's the headline? What's the headline? What's main event of redemption then? Yeah. And if Grandsteine, Mexico is between that and you've got the idea of Androadee versus MJF Could that not arguably be for a world title? and what if Max retains it? and what if What if they do have a time limit jel and technically Kenny never lost? What if, you know, there'ss, I don't know there's so many I don't know I don't know what the route to a triple threat match would be. But I would kind of love to see it. Yeah It's made me really excited for next time. And wouldould I buy a ticket Yeah, Yeah tomorrow. I don't even know if I'm going to be able to make it because I'm working that day, but cripes I'd want to be there. If that was the announcecedment event, I'd almost be okay with my ticket price just for that. Yeah because and I like a triple thrreat match. And I think I'm a little bit like, don't don't have a go at me in case you think there needs to be a purity of a singles match because I think for that as well. I'm not one of those people who things that the main event of Weby needs be a stight singles match love you know, the pomp and circumstance of doing a straight singles match off the options you present to me, I love all of them. So it's not like, oh, I trible threats. Oh ye they're doing. none of them are going to be bad. I if it's Will versus MGF. Brilliant. If it's Will versus Kenny, Brilliant. If it's Will versus MJF and Kenny, brilliant Like you know, Th those are all great options. If it's a for, cant a for, ' the hangman's there. But like almost is Hangman waiting in the wing? that's the redemption? Maybe there's the redemption. L I don't know. And I've got the same question that you've got. If this it's Kenny versus Will next week, what is your main events of redemption? And then you have got Grand Slam Mexico after that and maybe we've all like worked ourselves into a shoot thinking it's going to be MJA versus Andra Grand Slam Mexico, but maybe it's not going to be But Andray is definitely gunning for MJF's world title. So is Kevin Knight. So is Karl Fletcher. He was looking at I going for that side as well. There are people who are looking to fight MJF. who have set up matches and AEW don't often set up matches that they don't pay off on Yeah. Oh that There there is be loads of stuff going on I don't know. The direction is, but that makes me very excited to watch the shows and find out. Well, this is what I was about to jump in with because not to draw a direct comparison because sometimes I think that's really lazy. But what we spoke about on Monday when it came to the idea of like you're telling me that ultimately none of it matters, it's just the moment at the end. That's the thing that I'm going to be left with. So none of this really matters, so we can kind of just get away with it Here we're seeing an example of what's going to happen over the next two, three months before we it's just just under two months until Weembblely. What's going to happen over these next few months just Pay attention. This they're standing in a circle. What does that mean? It could mean nothing. It could mean everything, but you want to know what happens. Tune in next week to find out what's going to happen. Tune into redemption to find what's to happen. Tune torandon Mexico to find It's making me feel like this is gonna to matter. Exactly right. And is even the Will and Kenny having that scene in the trainer' room That was done to let you know like this is the start now of the chapter of this story and it is Kenny finding his path to being in the main events of Weembley I'm super into this. Yeah. I'm really digging it. I cannot wait for next week's show. I do think it'd be so funny if Ollie Davis goes away for two weeks. He comes back and there have been two different WWE champions and a new AEW ch What happenens? Aore Offenfood? Loo at the rest of the show, like MJF in his backstage interviews with Renee. looks at Andradei. like, I don't know why you're coming for me. I don't know why everyone says I'm not the main event of Weembley And Will walks up toim,'s like, whyy are you putting this dip out there? He's like ' becausecause I'm the champion and that's And despite what people think, I will see you are all in Andradei then cuts his primo saying he's done with the Don K' family and he's coming for that world title, How you know is super over. Doyle, Cage Knight and Archer run out and attack Andradee, Drill Claw by Cage and Don Wont Andradei throw out the ring because Kev Knight's got a match. Andradee and Brian Cage are having a match on tonight's collision. Yes Mercedes gotut a promo byy some boats saying that she will win her world title at All in Yeah. Yeah. Do you see her Instagram post? Which one the Wrestle Dream one. Yeahah, with Bailey Yeah with Davina Rose. Yeah. Wrestle Dream being the keyword there because I think our contract's up in like December. so can you been happving this for this year. on? Well, I mean, all world de. you know Kevin Knight took on Leo Rush for the TNT Championship People are super into Leo Rush. I like It is so fascinating to me because it feels so not AEW Yeah. It's like when Aberaddon was there Aberdon or even Dan Husen. Like it just never click. Never click because because D click with hook, I supposeed but overall it didn't click Well not the way that it's worked in WWA. No, and that's because that character specifically lends itself so well to production, whereereas that's what I mean is the fact that Leo Rushian is kind of like Hi it's very weird. Credit to him for going for and going intended all in on it because it's connecting and it's working. When he does his little run around the ring like when he's running on all fours, horrid. It's manic. It's insane to watch. I credit to him because he's really thrown himself into this character and has made it connect with the audience and they like they were super into it I will say, I think the match wins two to three spots too much because they had a crowd at a peak, but then they finished the match when it wasn't at its peak And I could just one with a side effect. I felt like they had the audience of the palm of their hand, then sort of dropped it a little bit. Yeah. That's fair. It's one of those things where it like it happens it happens often, but you can kind of learn to go like, okay, we won't do there next time. but Darby Allen then came out and said that he wants a match for the TNT Championship and Kevin's about to accept, but Don Car he's my favorite manager in all of wrestling at theent. He grabs them m.'s like, No, Darby, because of what you did at Bidenor, that was a criminal action In the Don Callless family, we don't give title shots out to criminals You'll never get a title shot. criminal. T shit. And Darby had a look on his face that suggested I've got some more pranks to delay upon you later on. Got some mischief. We've got some home alone booby traps to set up. Well, I did say put some micro machines down. Yeah. Maybe he's gonna to listen to me. And spepeedboall Mike Bailey was watching from the crowd. wonder if we get triple threader redemption? Renee interviewed Tamasso Champer, but Chris Jericho attacks him and they have a brawl backstage Champer at one point trying to use a drill. Yeah. I was like that, I mean, there there's a brawl and then there's trying to commit like a serious crime. Yeah they eventually gets broken up. They're having a match at beach break. They are Not into Jericho Jumper I have no strong feelings either way. I was relieved. when it started because it wasn't more of Jericho Ricochet, if that makes sense. It felt like, oh, a new thing. It's true actually. In typical, you know, Jericho fashion in AEW, it is to extend a feud out for six months when it needed one. Yeah. So at least they with the Ricoet when they did end it after, you know, one in a bit. Yeah, becausecause Ollie and I were convinced it was carrying on Then we had the segment with Renee, the Bucks and Kenny Mega. then we had Will Osprey and Joh Moxley taking on The swirl Pting out that Osprey is now officially part of the Dath Riders u Jay Lethal tripped Moxley and then did his black Maches moo pose, which you know, TNA guy pop for. So Marina gave him a suplex on the floor, one's the hot tag, paradigm shift into a hidden blade Lee Johnson for the win. Yeah Serviceable. This was this was is the my JM stuff where it was like gott to get him on the show, welcome in that match. Jopp on. Yeahah, I can sort of see that when you put it that way I kind of get what you mean. Yeah. But I was like, it's a continuation of the story. It's then for the first. Oh, it is death riders. at this point I was like, man, this j hass been star studed Oh yeah, then you had Cope and cage and you had J. Wh? I'm not saying that as a criticism by the way. I'm saying that as a well, we need to get him on the show, so it might as well do something like this. Let's do that Because we need to continue that storyline. We need to's what it's booking. It's what he' supposed to do. They did a good job. Lexi interviewed Cope and Cage after Forbidden Door, Cage asking Cope what's going on with Jay White. So He owed me a favor and now that favour's repate In case was like, well, before he was injured, I had a problem with him In fact, I still do. He walks off the most consistent character in this business. C goes Bye then. Yeah, good. That' great Jay White came up at his proment with the bang bang gang This was a terrific little promer from him. Yeah. it was. This was a great great promer from him I thought it was interesting if you There are so many people who've said, like, I've turned on to AW recently And if you have, you won't have seen Jay White around because he's been gone for four hundred plus days. So what a great way to introduce him back and say, this is someone you should be paying attention to Yeah And you know interview with David Finley may like this It's not exactly main events level, but I think it's a smart bit of business forum. There's no space room at the top of the card currently. I hope they do have something at some point at some pointn't been the story of JY and AW? Hasn't it just I mean, granted, you did have one of the worst main events in AW history It not his fault just it was an a Weird period of time when this MJF Babyface character had gone way longer than it was supposed to. and I think they were running on steam because Cole got hurt and you don't really know what else to do. I B thought us was a really good promo on David Finley and the Dgs He did say Crect me wrong. He did say that the Gabe kid was in the doarks Right? He's at Gabriel Kid, Clark Connors, David Vin you preface that in a way that makes me now question it. I don't't remember. I thought he did I thought the gabe kid had recently said he was in the Death Riders because he was sent by John Moxy to attack Shoda Umino at that new Japan show. I remember reading that someone said he wasn't with the Death Riders. He was another one who he's not had his patch yet. Yeah, he's because he's always been like the hye mercenary Yeah the Death Riders. I was being a part of the group I read when the dogs got you know, formed together, then he was just in that group. I don't know. but I'm sure Figure that out along the way. or Maybe it be that's a survival series, like red flag isn't it? That's when you get eliminated And they set up a match with chaint promotions for colloision.es. Then we got the announcement that Carl Fletch is going to take on Konosuke to catch the next week and the women's casino gauntlet for number one shot of the women's title at Redemption. And they announced on collision tonight. it's going to be Athena and Rena I think having one of the matches and Maya Walld and Julia Hart, I think is the other match too get into the casino T to get to the number one of number two spots.h yes, of course, yes. I would imagine that would be Athena and Maya Wald. That'd be nice little touch off the back of the Forbidden Door promo. Yes, very good. Th then we got to the survival of the fittest match for the TBS Championship as Christa, Land took on Maicah Hley Cameron, Persephone, Queen Amada and Hikaru Shehida Yes. I thought this was pretty good as the ed this was my on delivery. They were like you tr, That's the first time ever in AEW Yeah suddly I was like, it's a six way elimination match. Like it's not. Yeah, because I wasn't familiar with the concept, but I picked it up yeah pretty quickly because yeah, a six way elimination match. And I like that as a concept. I think was sa I saw it advertised onid door and I was like, okay, that's going to be fun U I like the concept of the match and I just felt the match itself underwhelmed. Yeah, it was like it was fine. Yeah. that's it. It picked up when it got came down to the last three because like they eliminated Hary Cameron early and then I just didn't feel like I was very dramatic I thought the ending was. I thought when it came down to the final three, that's when it did. Like I think everything up until that point much like a battle rooyal Right It only gets interesting when you get down to the final four. I also fry Maybe I was just pepp because immediately I felt was as shamame that they eliminated Harley straight away. just because I thought you could have a nice sort of like I don't know a story in there. like Yeah by story now U Sheida used Auby as a referee to shield herself and then use that distraction to eliminate Mica. Queen Nminada hit off with her head on Sheeta but Persephone rolled her up to eliminate her. That was I think is my one thing. It was it was three roll up eliminations because like Persephone hit the razor's edge and that's how she eliminated Hyamon, but then U Mica was out by a roll up Queen Amana was out by a roll up, and Pephne was out by a roll up and I'm like that's I didn't love that.. They did lose the crowd in the middle of the match, but when it came down to this final three, the m the match picked up and the crowd picked up along with it. Super particularly in for perersephone. they were quite pissed when when she got eliminated. Yeah you know, they booed Chris Autlander when they eliminated Persephone. And then Nikarashida gets on the ankle lock and she's like, you know Chris Alander struggling to get the ropes She makes it to the ropes and then Persephone clocks her with the TBS title and passes out in the ankle lock. So she just declared the winner. A bit of a clunky finish, but I quite enjoyed the spot. And I was like you now have a three way feud over the TBS title. so It's a story for the TBS title. Yeah that for me is Probably the biggest win out of all of this. Great Kakarashhida one. I didn't really mind of the three of them which one, I'm just thrilled that there's nows now a narrative. There's now a narrative. Yeah. Over the TBS Championship. I don't think we've had that since Jade Cargill won about And even then that that storyline was she has she's got this bell b, I thought it was It was all right. like it was fine. Yeah, that's why I'm I'm chsing the word underwhelmed. I think because that's not to say that bad in any way, I just was like. could have been more. Your comments over at patreonot com for slash WrestleTalk EJ says Fun Dynamite, always love the dynamic of the challenges for the world title. I live in Tampa and we' be going to dynamite next week for Beach brereak really excited for the show And Lawson here says, Andridy looks like he's having the time of his life, a great example of not burning bridges when you leave a company. Yeah, like That's again, a great example of why having multiple places to go is like I don't think he's burned a bridge over WWE by being like I think it's best that I go crack on Brady, tonight's opening pre tape was one of the best openings to the show I've seen in a long time. It has me so excited for the next two months EW Mark here says this is the first time in months, I've had any doubts of the all in main event being Omega versus Osprey in a singles because Kenny straight up said that he wants the match before he even beat MJF. I still think he wins the belt next week, but I'm starting to think it might be a three way. Just don't know for sure how we viably get there since Osprey had to win a whole ass tournaments. Yeah. and you could have that be a little chip on his shoulder in a way being like Kenny, you want to find yourself again, but not my expense. L there could be a part of that narrative. There's so many different little things that they can play with that I quite like Mohammad Has AEW done the if you lose you can never challenge again thing too many times? Maybe it just feels like the way maybe it just feels that way because Hangman was so recent and the stipulation, I believe, should be used very rarely. I agree, however was used recently for Hangman with MJF, that's why it's coming back around. Yeah. So in this case, it's perfectly reasonable. I would agree. mean, you know, it's been used three times in six years. that feels rare, but it only feels like it's because you' donet It was a coope winnerning he just said that I will never challancege for the belt if I don't be Jericho. It was Jericho? Right way way back in the early days when The founding like you know the EVPs were in this really weird phase where they did not want to be TNA. where nepotism. Yeah. If you're a part of the management, you should not be holding top titles. So like the young buucks get eliminated from the tag title tournament in the first round by a private party. Cody can never challenge for the AW World Championship. Kenny was rubbish Kenny was like, I'm going to be involved in the world title picture And it kind of took Tony Carn to just like crack their heads together and be like, why aren't you our top stars? Yeah I think you should be the top stars of this promotation Alex here, I haveve no clue where this story is going with Kenny and I love that. Does he win and prove he still got it? Does a certain cowboy come back to ensure that it doesn't happen again? orr does Kenny lose and we do what we all wanted with Cody? A heel turn and uses EVP powers to say screw that and win the title on a later date. So many options and that makes it all the more exciting H I think you want to avoid Well, do you I guess you want to avoid the tw too many you know because you've got will with the death riders They often play he like we saw Vindo Moxy was playing heel against Bandido. att the end of it, shake hand and very like respectful whatever, but like in the match very much heel tactic. Yeah. You want to avoid messing up your dynamics by having too many, too many baddies, too many crossovers, too many, whatever. So ye I'd stick clear a dive for right now Isaac. I don't feel like Kenny should win the belt yet because there still feels like there's a lot more on the table for Max's run. The natural conclusion for his title should be at all in and not in every story must have ended the biggest show, but because there's still plenty of stories to run with with MJF as champion. If MJF loses next week, it kills the Andreadee story and it kills Kevin Kight story. It's kind of what we was talking about earlier's like I still I don't know. you've got a lot of plates spinning right now. Yeah. But it feels like this one over here is like spinning the fastest and it's going to fall if you don't catch it And lastly, we have to bring this one up. So you weren't on this podcast when it happened When Darby was challenging for MJF for the title A chap by the name of Adam Corona left a Patreon comments where he said Derby is winning the title next week. I see, But the main event of all in is going to be Will Ospy versus Kenny Mega. Right And We that yeah, this is like justust kind aful of months ago and we were like, what an idiot. What an absolute chump mark who has got ideas in fantasy booking ideas way above his pay grade. What an absolute fool. anyway. Chump Mark Adam Corona here says, Kenny's one hundred percent winning the belt on next week's dynamise. Luke, when Ollie's back from running from the grind, please let him know that I wanted him to know that I told him so Love you, Dan. I love and I told you so. It's one of my favorite sentences in the world. Yeah Yeah, O got to have one of his with the Brock Les and the thing. Yeah. Oh boy, did he relish with it? Oh yeah. Yeah for weeks on end I mean, Adam Corona he's not far off because his whole thing was Kenny's going to turn heal and it's going to be a heal Kenny versus babyface Will. Maybe he might still be onto that one, but he's got likeike few more wrinkles left before his prediction comes completeue There no ass index this week. Okay becausecause Ollie's got access to the spreadsheet that I don't. I see it's on his laptop.'s good. I don't have the ass index. Yeah. So no ass index this week. I will ask you what's your recommendation? I will say though before I do, I felt quite stressed for the ass index last time I didn't feel like I'd passed security clearance enough to contribute to it. It felt quite final making these decisions. This is final. Yeah. I didn't like it. yeah Re strong opinions. They really do. They really do. Asum your ass index choices. I'm going to say', I mean sort one the ass I mean, but it's this is why it's so, you know, it's the ass index is a lore into itself. I's tell you someone stopped me at a hustle show A couple like about a month or so ago and it was like what do you mean that Billy guns better than Eplits Look, you know I was like, it's a g And it has to be a gut feeling. you can't I tried readasoning in logic and he wasn't having any of it U recommendations for the wing So I've just finished reading a book called Tonight The Music seemems So Loud by Satam Senera, who Empireand and a few other books about British empire and history and things like that. And he was like He spent an awful lot of time in the culture wars and he wanted to write a book for Joy and he's a massive fan of George Michael. So it is a sort of cultural history of George Michael. and his position as One of the more surprisingly famous and influential musicians in the history of British music, but also, you know, global music and things like that. because he said he's aassive fan but' always felt a bit. ashamed or like a little bit quiet about that. And he wanted to interrogate, why and look at the complications of the man. it was like pop biography but more to do with like where the world is and how we look at someone who was how he responded to being outed, how he wrote many of the most famous and biggest tracks going like the Wam had a tour of China, so there was a part of that, like communist China. It's really fascinating. And as someone who grew up listening to George Michael as I cared because my momum was such a big fan and every Sunday morning was the soundtrack was Oasis simply read in George Michael. I have found it to be a really fascinating book. So Simply read such a mum band of the nineties. Big time Big time was also into Simply read. Iship in Manchester. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I suppose. Yeah. But I think so the reason I'm saying it as well and I think it'd be really interesting for a lot of people here is because it's a lot about sort of control freakery and like Geordorge Michael was an incredible control freak. as a result means that his output of music was so much smaller than so many other people He released and wrote some of the most iconic music that we could all rattle off like this. but in terms of like a broad body of work. I just based your camera, sorry. It's so much smaller than everyone else's and I found that really interesting in terms of how we as an artist need to let ourselves go a little bit And specifically when it pertains to wrestling, Yeah, there's an element of controlling every single tiny little thing and in fact just allowing for oh this is responding. I should respond to that. Yeah I thought it was quite interesting My recommendation is I've got two. Patrick Willams has got a very good video essay out on YouTube about Netflix blockbusters. yes we were got you know almost like why are WW doing this? His question is like why why do the streamers make these one hundred eight million dollars blockbusters that no one watchs? like what is the point of this? So that's really good. And my other recommendation is, I think Oll might have recommended this previously but I've just out watching in his backpack.. He does love that new backpack of his. He'll get tired of it. I don't know that he will. I know, he was super into his new wallets that he bought as well. But the shine has worn off that new wallet, partarticularly because I buried it when he first showed it to me a wallet is a bin that you carry around with you Bully G on Mos your other.other recognation on Netflix, the second season of four seasons Okay is out. I really enjoyed the first season. What is it? So it is a drama, comedy drama about a group of friends who are now like in their middle agges of life. like It's like Tina Fe, Will Fort Oh, Steve Carerell, u and It's really good. So it's ballally you know three couples and you meet them in four different seasons across a year So you had two episodes in spring, two episodes in summer, two episodes in fall or awesome as we would call it, two episodes in winter
