What are Smart Features?
Smart Features are the AI features in Podtastic: Smart Skip, Smart Summaries, and Smart Topics. All processing happens on your device for maximum privacy.
What are Smart Summaries?
Every podcast and episode gets an AI-generated summary that evolves over time. Discover new shows and decide what's worth listening to before you press play.
What are Smart Topics?
Podtastic automatically highlights key topics across your favourite podcasts. You can jump straight to the sections you care about most.
What is Smart Skip?
Smart Skip automatically skips past the interruptions other listeners skip, so episodes flow naturally — no manual scrubbing needed.
When Smart Skip jumps ahead it plays a short sound so you know what happened. While the sleep timer is on, Smart Skip stays silent, so it never wakes you up. You can turn the sound off completely in Settings → Smart Features → Smart Skip sound.
Can I use Podtastic in the car?
Yes. Podtastic works with Apple CarPlay on iPhone and Android Auto on Android. Tap Just Press Play on the car screen to start a personalised queue, or browse your Queue and Library. In the car, Podtastic plays episodes already downloaded to your phone, so turn on auto-download to have new episodes ready before you set off. If an episode is missing in the car, open Podtastic on your phone and download it.
How do I manage my subscription?
You can manage your subscription through the App Store on your iOS device. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to view or cancel your subscription.
Is my listening data private?
