Hey bestie , so unfortunately your car got in an accident and I was the I was driving and it's unfortunate because it's just like not it was not my fault like can see how you would think it was my fault because I was driving, but this guy was parked in front of a ice cream place and I was driving by and his car was this weird shade of white and I hit it and it turns out that guy's a total dick anyway. So it's actually kind of fine that I hit him because he doesn't even seem like he voted or he doesn't seem like he's like actually nice to anybody. So it's okay, I'm not gonna pay you back. Thanks for letting me borrow it This is a head gum podcast Well hello and welcome to Perfect The Providers show where I'm perfect New York What the hell did you just say? Actually recently, Arasha , I've been putting things in front of the fireplace. Yeah . Okay , sometimes there are places in your house where you think you can't put furniture, fireplace, being one of them. Oh , there's a weird old fireplace where it's electr ic or whatever and you're like, huh, I can't put furniture there. Put it in front of the fireplace. What if I don't have a fireplace? Then you can put your shit wherever you want. Okay, but I would actually encourage you Funk Shui wise, do what shall not be done. All right. I've been seeing this. You've seen the guy on YouTube shorts that's always cutting out little diagrams or rearranging them on the Yes. Really good. Do not know what his name is not, but he's really a great diagram guy. So the point is Feng Shui for that. Feng Shui. I'm obviously joined by Rasha. Oh, Rosha, thank you so much for being here. Oh, thank you for having me. It is wonderful to be back. I truly only remember having a blast and why we keep going. So this is part two. Thanks for being here. Rusha, what makes you perfect today to be able to answer the people's questions? Oh boy, what makes me perfect is yesterday was june first and I got a haircut. So I'm a new woman. Okay, yeah. How do you feel pre cut? How do you feel post haircut? Pre haircut, I was really weighed down. Yeah, hair. Hair hair weight. I mean, like, talk about a dead end. Oh my god, you know what I mean? It's like there's no way fanfare after that. Talk about a dead end. Guys, we'll be right back. Yeah , but now dead end's gone. There is only growth in front of me. Oh my god . How often do you think dead ends need to be cut off your hairs? Oh, sure ly every two months? Two every two months? Those things get dead. How often are you taking a haircut? Every two months ? Well, okay, so my mother is a hair stylist. Shout out Sophie's hair salon in San Antonio. And so growing up, she was always like, this is dead. I'm cutting it. You know, like we were taken care of. Now I no longer live with my parents and it is up to me to do that. Right. So I would say I'm getting a haircut maybe every eight months . Okay , that's about what I'm doing too. But you know what I say, I'll say is like, I wish that my hair looked the same all the time. Really? I want to change. I don't want I want to like that feeling right after I get a haircut and I put I'm like, oh, that's kind of nice. I want that feeling all the time, but I feel like often what happens is I'll get a haircut and then it's like yeah eight months, nine months. My hair looks dramatically different because I have short hair. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm just never getting that freaking thing cut. I mean , Fabian gets his hair cut, I would say, like every three weeks Every three weeks. He's regularly in that barber shop. He lives there. Oh, yeah. No, wait, he might be having an affair with his barber I mean, I think if you want to consistently keep like a clean cut, yeah, then you gotta be visiting once a month. Oh my god . I know. He's selfish. Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, yeah. I remember I interned at Seth Meyers when I was in college and they would like before the show , he would have not like every time, but like once a week, whatever, someone's going in there and they're they're keeping the hair consistent every time . And I was like, holy shit, that's so cool. Isn't that the dream? Just to be like, yeah, I know that like I'm gonna have my hair styled slash cut every day. Is so awesome? No, truly, I was thinking that at the salon yesterday, like she was doing the whole blowout and styling it and I was like incredible. And what if you did this every day? What if you lived with me? Hey, did you want to move in? Did we deserve moving back again? And she's like, give me one hundred fifty dollars. Got it. By the way, you get to see why it's sort of like, oh yeah, hyper rich people that have like chefs and at home stylists . Controversial opinion seems cool. Oh , I think I would like that life. I think I would. Would that be cool? Yeah, Rasha, thank you so much for being here. We have to calibrate your advice via the perfect person speed round. Okay , in order to make sure that we're on the same page in order to make sure that we're gonna be giving advice at the same frequency. Sure. What's your favorite frequency? Fast? Good That's good. Perfect salad. Caesar. Whoa, but I don't like anchovies. Okay, so you don't like Caesar salad? Yeah. I like I like these shredded cheese . I like I like some good not too chunky lettuce and croutons. You gotta have croutons but they can't be too hard to eat . I'm a picky eater. What is oh really? Yeah. Oh, that's okay. Well, you know I'm not a picky eater, but I wanna say I respect it. Thank you. What is Caesar's salad if not anchovies, though . What's in that? Is it mustard? It's just mustard, right? Caesar dressing? No, I know, but Caesar dressing has anchovies in it. Oh , maybe I like anchovies. An anchovy freak. Wait. Isn't there anchovies in Caesar dressing? Sound off in the comments. Sound off, guys. I thought it was fish style and that's why it tasted like that. Well, well, I'm actually new to fish So I expected fanfare again . Nope. Yep. New to fish because I was I went to Japan in February . So in preparation for that, I was like , I got to get on the fish train. Oh and, so beginning of this year, fully dived into sushi for the first time ever. Where were you intimidated by it before? Because as you said before, you're a picky eater. I need it to look good for me and then I'll eat it. It needs to look good for me . So you then went to Japan and you ate a lot of fish. Oh yeah. And it was awesome. And it was awesome. So what's crazy about it? I love sushi, right? I'm a fish freak. Okay. And we went to this like hot springs hotel and it was like my favorite thing about it was they had a breakfast buffet and it was like fucking fish. It was like pickled plums. It was like all this stuff that loved . But then while we're in Japan, we're like, let's do a Japanese omakase. Oh yeah , because I was like, I love omakase, like whatever sushi, like fancy sushi, I love that stuff. And what we didn't realize is that Japanese traditional omakase is like completely fucking different from American omakase. Oh, entirely. And I have I am never challenged by food and this was the most challenging meal of my entire life. I got through maybe two rounds. Yeah, no, it was like 'cause I can take like a, you know, oh you give me an uni, you give me fuck you know, give, me some urchin, give me some eggs, give me some root, whatever, I'm down with it. This was like char slime that I just was not used to. Right. And I found it too challenging, but I was like, this is, I'm glad I'm having this experience, but it's also where you're seated right there and the food's coming out and me and Sarah didn't want to be rude. Of course. And she's like, you're gonna have to eat both. And that is exactly what I was about to say is we women were pampered. Yeah, sometimes tr. Likeuly, like and Fabian is such a sweetheart too. He is like, he's seriously like the least judgmental person ever. So like the food would be in front and he would be like, what do you think? And I would have to like look at it and I'd be like , yeah. And then I'd have it. But then if I wasn't into it, he'd like quickly scarf it down and yeah, we loved it. We loved it. Yeah, no yeah, 'cause I want them to like, even though they don't care, like probably . Okay, actually, I'm so glad you said that we wanted you You want them to like you? Yes. I realized actually, and you know what? This definitely belongs in my therapy session, but I realized I always want to make people proud. Oh yeah. I think that that is my issue and that's kind of also a problem in therapy. She want your therapist? I want my therapist to be proud of me. That's also I've run into that two where I want my therapist to be like laughing at my jokes. Unfortunately, that's not the relationship. You probably should have me pists. She's like, How's your weak? And I'm like , How's your week? You're like, Dang girl. You're like, You said that funny. And she's like, talk to me. Yeah , I'm like, But do you like me? I know. And it's so difficult, I think, to be honest with your experiences your life if you're constantly just like, I'm just trying to make you happy. Yeah, I know. That is tough. But I certainly feel that way when somebody's making me a food. Oh absolutely. And I want them to know that not like only did I like it, but I appreciated the heritage and culture that went into it. That is something that I think I live with my entire life. Every single time after I eat, if I am not the one who prepared the meal, I make sure the second I step up from the table , I say, thank you for the food. Of course, of course. Biggest thing. You gotta say thanks. Thank you for the food. Perfect ring tone song. My song when I was a kid, and I have a core memory of it playing at the wrong time when we were all praying is replay by Ayaz . Can you say a couple bars? Shut he's like a melody in my head that I can't keep on making Every day I've been dreaming prayer. Oh yeah, but I did it on purpose 'cause you know how like this bit? You need everybody to know that you have a sick ass ring tone. That is awesome. So I was like, we're going to pray. Everybody call me right now. Yeah. Everybody as in, let's have my alarm go off and then put it to the side and then like, okay, prayer time. Oh, shoty's like a melody. No, that's awesome. Yeah. What was my oh my god I, remember having like a diva my Beyonce would play when my boys would call me. Oh yeah. So it would be like if you got added to the Diva Ringtone, you were one of my boys. Hell yeah. We should bring ringtones back. I agree. I think that I'm tired of the fucking like Marimba. Oh Marimba, take her down. Take her down a peg. It's only ninety nine cents on the iTunes store. On the iTunes store. Really sounded like this is sponsored . It's only ninety nine cents on the iTunes store. So get it now. But I do, yeah, honestly, buy a ring town out there guys. I will actually. I'm gonna do that literally right after this Perfect final snack of the night. Cheesets . Whoa. I love cheeses. Are they blasted or loaded or whatever Blasted, they're just cheesets, bro. No , don't they have like blasted freak cheesets that are like bounce on a crazy style cheddar flavor. Get the cheddar out of here. Sorry, you're coming out as anti cheddar on this show? Just on my cheeses. I'm so pro cheddar. I just I'm cheddar on my cheddar on my Caesar. Cheddar on my Cesar Cheddar on my Cesar Cheddar cheeses . Leave my cheesets be. What flavor isn't cheese at Cheddar's flavor ? Isn't cheese it cheddar's flavor? What is the cheese on cheese it's? Yeah, to me, I think it was cheddar, but I don't know. I guess I just thought it was like I thought you were again. You thought it was American cheese? American cheese is like more warm to me than is it? Then a cheese . Okay, top three cheeses. Cheddar . Sorry, fresh motts and number three , ooh, something really fucking like do I don't and I'm not necessarily a goo freak for the goo cheese. Goo cheese . Like a bree is a Gucci. Oh , Bri makes me sick. I really loved Bree , but then I vomited after Bree and now I can't do Brian. You after going out a day with Brie Larson? Yeah . I vomited after Don't do it. At Cheddar and Fred Sponsorella, it's hard for me to think of a cheese I don't like because I have ricotta. Ricotta is good, but it's not an everyday cheese for me. Are you eating ricotta every day? No. I'll watch it , honestly, I want to hear your top three Jesus. I also want to hear top three Jesus in order that you've eaten them. Okay, mozzarella, I will agree with you. Yeah. Incredible. Ricotta is really good. And then it's this isn't the third best one, but it's the one that's coming out to me. You know an Ovellini ? No . Ovellini. What is that? What kind of cheese is that? It's like a baby bell. It's like a it's a bit of a goo, I guess. Let's go. It's kind of goo but it's, kind of Motts. Oh , they give it to me at Blaze Pizza Another sponsor of yours. Yes, Blaze Pizza. Ohini at Blaze Pizza where the pizza gets Blazing. For ninety nine cents. She pizza. It's definitely not ninety nine cents. Perfect time of day for a nap. Like a two PM . Are you a big napper? No. Yeah, no meeter. I, if I nap, like, you know how some people are like, Oh, if I nap, I can't sleep at night. That is not my issue. I can nap from two PM to ten PM , get up, get some water, and then go back to bed for a full night's sleep. Holy shit. I just like, I have years of stored sleep debt. That's incredible. That I am like constantly working towards. Yeah, it's you got to pay it off. I fell asleep to me when I think of an app, sometimes I'll watch like on YouTube, it'll be like a window and then through the window it's a storm . And it'll be like rain sounds, but you can see the storm or whatever. I love those. Yeah, I love those, but every time I try an nap, it's like, I accidentally fell asleep on the couch on my phone at four PM and then I woke up to my phone ringing at five PM and I was like shoty but it was a mess and it was sweaty and it was like it was not restful. That is the worst when you wake up sweaty ter.ri Itble's or you just wake up worse than you were before . Exactly. I was like, what the fuck? Like I just, it was startling. And then you wasted time. You're like, I ruined everything. It was terrible. Okay, final question, the perfect book. I'm in my audiooko b era . And I'm in my genres memoirs. Oh, really? I love memoirs. Okay, nice. I'm gonna say that my perfect book is the one that I'm currently reading. I love that though. One second for that. It is Allison Stoner's audio book semi well adjusted despite literally everything . And you like it a lot. I'm really enjoying it. I love listening to audiobooks when I'm driving . And I think it's also really improving my attention , which is what I'm really trying to work on because like I'm noticing myself also when I'm watching TV being like, well, what if I'm just scrolling on Pinterest at the same time and it's like , I don't want to be doing that. I'm really trying to just lock in on stuff. So with audiobooks, it's really training me to be like, I need to listen to this. Yeah , but I guess it's counterintuitive because I also need to keep my eyes on the road . Yeah, sure. It's enough of a multitask that I think it works , but it keeps me from drifting off in thought and being like, let me listen to the story and I will reflect later. I love that because often when I'm listening to a podcast, what I'm actually looking for is an audiobook. It's like I want the same story told or like a journal or whatever. I want I think that sometimes I'll listen to a podcast as a micro dose of like the experience I want actually is like a long soothing thing that feels the same energy and wavelength. Audiobooks my guy. That's nice. I will send you some recommendations. Please, and you know where you can read them for free on the Libya app. No way. By the way, the Libya app is cool. You can it's basically library on your phone. Truly. Yeah, like any book that you want, you just put it on hold. That's so good. And audiobooks included, like completely free. And it's not also like illegal because some people are like downloading off of whatever. And I was on that game. Yeah, you were on that pirate. You was on that piracy game. Sure, you know, but now I'm doing Libby. That's huge. Yeah. Now I'm doing Libby. I'm doing Libby. You guys go to Russia . Slash of Rossia and Miles. I will say yeah, the last book I read. I mean, I was on sort of a hot streak for books for two months where I read two books in two months and then I was really talking a big game and now it's June and I have not read any other books since that two books . But I will say I, read Roger Tale Mary. I think it's fucking awesome. Oh, I just saw the movie last night. Oh my God. And I think that they are great. And I think that the if you liked the movie, you will love the book. Yes. And if you love the book like I think more people have probably seen the movie than have read the book totally. The book is so much more in depth like problem solving and it's really fucking you should talk to Fabian about it. Actually, he loved that book. He's going around telling everybody about the book as well. For reading books, it's just a little difficult for me . I get headaches. Oh yeah, sure. So sometimes literally just reading off of a page , it just and it's too distracting for me too. You know, like you just trail off and then you're like, and what do I want to eat later? And then you're like , where was I? It's almost though I'm searching the high of being into a good book because when it's so hard for me to get there. I mean, again, like last year I read one book or something, but this year I was hot hot streak with two . And the feeling of when you were reading a book that you really like and you're like, oh man, I can't wait to sit down. That feeling is what I'm chasing. It's so hard to get into it. And just like sitting somewhere , like holding a book, me reading a book like and somebody just happens to walk by. You're reading a book. Reading? Reading Oh my god, that's so cool. You're like, I'm actually the sexiest woman in the world. I'm so hot and cool. I'm so hot, I'm literally holding a book. Well, Rosha, we have got to get to the freaking phone lines. This podcast is supported by Planned Parenthood Federation of America. I'm about to give you a very non controversial fact everyone deserves healthcare that is safe, affordable, and non judgmental. Truly, it's not a hot take. It's actually just the world that we should be living in. But the Trump administration, Congress and the courts have spent the past few years making healthcare more expensive and harder to get. In fact, the Trump administration and congress passed a law to defund planned parenthood part of their years long effort to shut down the organization and its health centers. Without community based Planned Parenthood Health Centers, cancers will go undetected, SDIs will go untreated, and patients won't get the birth control or abortion care they need to plan their families and futures. And now some members of Congress want to extend the defunding of Planned Parenthood perman ently, robbing care from people who rely on Medicaid to get services. But Planned Parenthood isn't backing down. They're still showing up for patients and making sure everyone can get the lifesaving life changing care that they need. No matter the size your donation makes a real difference , helping Planned Parenthood meet this moment and protect access to healthcare when and where it matters most. If you believe all people should get healthcare, no matter their income, Planned Parenthood needs you in this fight. Don't wait. Pull out your phone and go to planned parenthood. org slash defend and give today. Okay, how about this? We'll give you a call back in like five minutes. That would be so cool. Yeah, no problem at all right. Call you in five. Talk to you soon. Bye . Incredible. They seem lovely. They do seem lovely. Even though the first five minutes of that was just rustling in their pocket. Yeah, it was sort of rustling in the pocket. Have you ever had sort of a workplace crush? Oh Miles, let's just say I ruined my local raising king canes . No . Oh my god, not believe I'm confessing. Please wait. What are you talking about? You worked there? Uh huh. Okay, you worked here raising Seynes. I worked there for two and a half months . Wow. My senior year and I caused havoc . Oh no . Yeah Start I loosely was I got involved with my trainer. Yeah . And you know, I didn't know you're raising Kane's trainer. You're raising Kane's trainer. Oh my gosh. I didn't know that this person was in a relationship and not only were they in a relationship, they were in a relationship with somebody else that we worked with. No way. And I didn't know that. Oh my god. Right. So then I sort of became the restaurant let's say fluzy? All of misogyny alert. Right because a man if a man had done that, that'.s That right, it would have been fine. High five's all around the kitchen. By the way, not your fault . Thank you. But you didn't know, right? No way, I mean, well also, I was truly seventeen. No, you were seventeen. How old is he? He was twenty two. Okay., hello Call age man. Call the police. Right, right, like, let's start there . But then, you know, then I took an interest in my shift manager . And you know, well, the story just kind of stops there 's no way I'm sorry I got crazy. By the way, two and a half months is not enough time for there to be so much drama. No, I know. But remember when I told you that like it started clocking to me like senior year Wait, so okay, so you become when I just I love the details of this. So you are being trained by your shift manager by the train trained by a trainer. And how employee? And how soon after you're being trained by your trainer, did you facilitate a relationship transparent like first shift. Week one. Week one. Like it was he was like, these are the closing duties and also like, you're kind of sexy. No way . And I was like, college man , first guy to ever call me sexy . Like we were like playing music for each other and I was like, Do you need a ride home? Oh my god, I know truly it was, like my first experience and I was so excited about it . And then the next day , his girlfriend at work comes over and is like, thank you so much for driving him home. Like I really appreciate that. And I was like he lived with her I think he lived with his parents, but for some reason she was she was thinking . Oh oh and here's the craziest part it was their anniversary . What? Sorry . It was their anniversary and he was like making it with you with the car. He was like, I need to ride home and I was like listen Listen, I was a stupid kid. I mean, it was not your fault. It was not your fault at all. Right. And that was the craziest thing is like then he pretended that none of it happened. He was like, no, like she made this up and she did all of this and it was crazy. And then I DMed this other girl and I was like, you need to know that like I'm telling the truth. Like your boyfriend's actually like terrible and all of this happened and all of this. And she was like, well, he's saying that like you all did all of this and stuff. And I was like, I can't be here anymore. I'm gonna put in my two weeks notice. Oh my god, but not before. But then yeah, but then when I went into my two weeks, I'm a kitty shift manager. He was like, Are you sure you want to leave? She says, Hey, baby, are you sure you want to go? Yeah, and I was like, Well, you're cute . And there was like a company picnic . What is that like? Company picnic. Flirty. Flirty . It was like, I was like, do you want to give me a ride to the picnic? Listen, we love giving each other rides in Texas. This is awesome, by the way. This is such a like in my mind like the amount of time also, when you know when you're younger, how time passes slower, like two months feels like it is years. I was beside myself . When I found all of this out, I was like, but he's my soulmate . Like can he lie to me? I know But it was good. It was my first heartbreak. So I was like, okay, heard , I can't trust these men. You can't be trusting. I want to say out there to anyone that might be in a similar situation, do not trust your raising kids trainer who's twenty two when you're seventeen . Just don't trust him. Don't trust him. Even if he's like, you're so pretty. Hey, you're kind of sexy. You don't need it. Yeah, yeah. Just wipe off the tables, wipe clock out. Clock out. Drive yourself home. All they serve is chicken. Yeah, just get home. If he cannot drive himself home , don't offer a ride. So he was he dropped off? Yeah, get this. His parents dropped him off. And then he was like, can I get a ride home from you? Yeah . And then what happened? And then you're on the way home and he's like, Hey, like, let's make out . I guess you're gonna have to stay by the patriarch. All right, we gotta call this person back to find out if there's a raising can Zarasha situation going on . Truly never to shared any of that workplace drama. So I love it. That's so funny. Yeah. I hope he calls it. Your timing ing in my car right now. Wonderful. Okay , absolutely. That is flawless. Well, thank you so much for hopping on with us, Naomi . Naomi, what is literally good about it with your grocery store workplace romance? So first off, context , since twenty twenty three, I've practic ed polyamory , and basically that just means I date multiple people, but I talked to all of them about it. Sure. Based off of everyone from home, right? I don't know how familiar you are with poly so I feel like I could explain it every time . Oh, certainly we got, a lot of poly colars going on in the comments. Okay, cool. So you are poly and you are also in sort of a relationship with somebody you work with . Yes. Are they sort of a part of the cool if I may? What's interesting is it's not necessarily a cube it's not like I don't do kitchen table poly. I do like what I would call solo poly, which is seeing multiple people and communicating with all of them. Gotcha about what's going on. Gotcha. Okay, cool. So it's less like, let's throw them into the group and we're like forming a connection with this person. Nice. But it's spicy, it's spicy. They were with partner since high school for four or five years and they broke up with them and started spending time with me. Now I told them I don't want to put any pressure on you or expect you to , you know, act a certain way or like I want you to figure out what you want. You know, I'm not I want to be your friend first and then if there's anything else there that's great by me. But that's kind of how I approached it, obviously. It's kind of flipped. We were consistently hanging out for about two months, like we were seeing each other at work all the time because we're both leads. So it's not like a question of seniority or anything either. It's just something we were doing on the side essentially . And it's kind of turned to them like they've been really short with me recently anytime I talked to them at work and it kind of flipped pretty quick ly. So I tried to have a discussion and I think I knew going in that there might have been a little bit of a red flag regarding proper communication and not proper, but effective communication, I should say. Sorry, I'm yapping a lot . If you want to guide a little bit, I'm just so basically , you're doing wonderful. So you basically you feel like all of a sudden they started being short with you. Now, do you , are you still seeing them on the side? Or is this sort of like you're like, wait, something changed and I don't know what happened. Essentially it's that and I know that there might be an answer, but I can't feel I like I shouldn't be spending all this time kind of chasing it if they're not putting in that effort to inform me . Like why you know good news is we're going to give you an answer by the end of the call. Right. So we're going to sort of figure this out for you live. Now Now okay, you're seeing them are you're not seeing them romantically anymore. This was sort of like you were kind of seeing them romantically and it's been how long has it been since your last like date or whatever? It was like a I want to say a week ago . I want to say only about a week ago. Super recent . And what did you say ? What did you say that you were worried that they thought was too much communication? Basically they started talking to me because I was being their friend first, of course before there, was any other interest or anything like that because they were talking to me about their situation with their ex and that basically their ex had broken up with them . And they were like kind of came to the point where it was , yeah, that's like fine by me and they're ready to move on. And I've just kind of been around in a way which I know is a rebound type of deal. So if that's all this is , you know , darn , but I'm prepared for whatever that's kind of what comes along with me like jumping in on somebody who just got out of a relationship in my opinion. But with the ex thing and then the there's like other details too where they told me that they like live above their ex because their ex moved back downstairs to be in a separate apartment like than them because they were living together . And they moved directly downstairs. Why? Well, no, it wasn't like a it wasn't like a they did that intentionally. It was like they were living on the top floor of a two apartment house. Yeah they. And move downstairs because their mom lives downstairs. The person I'm talking with, my boss, this is just their ex and their mom, but the not boss coworker. Essentially, their ex came upstairs to do something with the air conditioning and basically saw trash that implies something was happening in a bedroom . Oh , there was condom trash. There might have been and that might have sparked a conversation between them and that's the most info that I understand. Now I'm not going to say names of course to keep everybody's animosity instead of confusing myself with fake names. I'm just gonna keep it vake. Okay There you go. Okay, so basically , well, here's the thing. Okay, so it seems like you kind of know that there's you're playing basketball and this is a rebound situation. Right? Because that's what you said is that this person was in a long term relationship, they got broken, they got broken up with from their ex. They're trying to kind of move on, but I don't think it can really move on when your ex is downstairs. No, that is definitely difficult. That's true. Yeah, what do you think Arasha? What do you think? What's your take? It's definitely what's tough is I think after a breakup , most of the time, you need space. A hundred percent . You need to be like depending on what the situation is , I usually give advice to people and say that I think you need no contact for a little bit. I think so too. Even if it is amicable and you want to be friends down the line. I think it's important to break the pattern and habit of them being this romantic person in your life and for you to sort of rediscover solo journey that you're on in your life , and then you can welcome them back in. But your coworker, having their ex downstairs, I think literally is just showing them this concept of they're always going to have some part of them around. Yeah . And then when the ex comes upstairs and discovers something like that, it's going to be harder to just be like, Oh yeah, I'm seeing someone new and you know, this is that situation. Instead it feels like well you're still a part of my life and you literally live downstairs and you just saw this. By the way, the idea of like this is all so messy and like the idea of absolutely. Why do you think I called you? Oh my god, the idea of I break up with someone. I move downstairs, I'm up fix ing the AC and I see condoms in the church. I'm like gonna drive into a bridge. Even if you were the one initiating the break reminder, they chose to break up that total choice. They chose to do it. It was not one hundred percent. It's not like I'm not saying it's a fault thing at all. Like I don't think that it's yeah, whatever. Like everyone's totally good to move on. I just was saying it's so messy. Like absolutely ex is up in your apartment, there's a conversation ha.bit None of that should be I would say even so like, even if you are the one initiating this breakup, I think it's still fair to have upset feelings about your ex moving on. Be likeing, oh, because that's the thing about like relationships is that they're, you know, you might break up with someone for reasons that aren't just that you don't care about them totally. No, and then and then you see, you know, but yeah, I think it's got to be no kind of answer your question question. My is why are they being cold? It's 'cause they're going through a catastrophic life effect. Yes. And I think that that has nothing to do with you. And I think if you are game to be like, I'm okay to be like a sounding board for fun if this person wants to kind of hang out and do whatever it is that we're doing . But I don't think this person is ready for a , you know like long term having that kind of connection longer term more serious thing. Now like ye,ah, given you are saying that you are you are a solo poly leveler, am I mind like you know in video games when you solo level? No not solo leveling. So yeah, you're solo leveling the polymer that's what I'm doing. You're expect farming the polecule. But I think that like even given that, it seems like you have specifications around communication, around like minimum commitment that is required for the people that you kind of add to your ro ster. And I know yeah. I don't know, you know, I don't, it doesn't necessarily seem like this person's necessarily ready for that, but I don't know. What's your take on that? I had a quick point I wanted to give. Your breakup happened around, I want to say February or January. Do you know how long they were together? So it's been a minute four years . It's kind of not long enough. Only and not even long enough like when I say not long enough, I just mean you might need more distance from that for the impact of that loss. Truly there's right. Let's let it settle because to be fair, we were basically consistently spending time together for almost two months. Yeah . And it wasn't immediately after, but it was kind of close enough that I can see what you mean that I mean the energy that I've gotten with them kind of turning has been hey get away from me and when I've tried worked on having conversations like the other day following work because it's turned to the reason I wanted to talk about it was because it's turned to the point where it's made my work a little hard because every time I go to their section of the store I get attitude. So I'm trying to resolve that separately. Is it the beef section? Did you have beef in the beef section? Yeah. What section of the store do they work in? I have beef in the meat department. No, it's not either of those things. That's really funny. The beef is completely in our actual meat department at my job, there's a guy named Frank and I always make the joke about the hot dogs. That's really good. And hell yes. I serve hot dogs. I'm the pun master of my job. Sure. I gotta say, like, I don't really see hot dogs in the meat department. Like they're not making hand packed. What other department is gonna hand out hot dogs mouth? Like by the five pack? Name name the department that would give you hot dogs and groceries. Department . The stationary department. There's a separate beef department . Yeah, that wouldn't just fall under me the umbrella term. I guess you're the grocery expert. I guess you hear the expert just because you work at a grocery store. Oh, you work at a grocery what are you gonna tell me about Kroger Hobbyists, so I can't have an opinion. I'll have you know, my middle name is Ralph. That's right. Ralph. Ralph Ralph. Thank you very much. I got to think, okay, so my take on this is actually like, when you date somebody, let's say you are dating somebody with a dog . That dog is a part of your relationship . And I think that if you are dating somebody that has recently gone through a catastrophic breakup of four years, you are then dating somebody with the dog that is the heartbreak. Yeah, that's the dog. Like agreed. And I think it's like, you know, like, but I think that's true for like anything. Like everybody has some sort of baggage, but specifically long term breakups, giant tragedies, personal growth they're going through . All of those are different types of dogs that they might have. And they might need to go take those doggies for they got that dogs in them and next to them. Exactly. And that dog needs to take a poo. That dog needs to be taking our logs. So to me, the grumpiness that this person's displaying towards you, I don't think has anything to do with you. It seems like they're just going through their own personal thing. But I think probably the way to get through is just go he,y, by the way, I just, you know, things have felt a little strange between us. I just wanted to say like I was thinking about you and I hope you're doing great. Whatever. Like something like that is just my feelings. Or even I would even pose on top of that that you could, you know , even ask questions like, hey, did you want some space? Yeah, you know, if you are met with something that's like, you know, you're like, Hey, here's here those franks that you wanted and you and they're like, thanks, then you can be like, oh, I'm sorry, did I do something to ups et you? Yeah . You know, or like, oh, that it felt like you weren't wanting to talk to me anymore. Is there something going on? I think it's completely fair to meet somebody with that. And because you guys aren't exclusive or anything , there isn't this sense of like you don't owe anybody anything, but I do think that there's a level of respect and civil behavior. Yeah, it's been missing. Especially with the work conduct. Communicate that . And I did have a small discussion with them just yesterday or maybe it was the day before at Following Work because it just was essentially frustrating me that this kept happening, but I was not being given any context to them of anything I did wrong and they told me that there isn't anything I'm doing wrong and there isn't anything that's upsetting them like that I'm doing personally is what they told me the other day . So I'm like , great, that's good . But why are we still running into this problem of you being short with me when I approach you at work with work related things? Yeah . I mean, that sounds, that sounds like clear you' anreswer then kind of like we're saying it's you have done nothing wrong and I think the approach moving forward now is to just let this person figure out their range of emotions . They might have been attached to you after this break up, but now maybe some feelings are settling in and they're having to navigate those. So if you can, you know, find something else to sort of focus on or, you know, just kind of draw your attention to the things that are serving you right now, then I think it might be better for you. I think that this is also why people maybe avoid dipping their pen andany Comp Inc. . So to speak Sometimes it works, but sometimes it provides then a lack of escape because then you're kind of obligated to see this person. This is the day of working of dating somebody you work with, which is like like, I think that, you know, blanket advices like try not to date people you work with because it can be awkward or whatever. But sometimes it's gonna be hot. Sometimes it's gonna be hot. And also it's like where do people in the modern world meet others at work? Like, you know, true. It literally turned into like a situation where they were giving me rides to work as I didn't have my own vehicle. So it saved me money too. Like it was a great workout, but it did become all the time . That is when I did discuss this withed some family, they were like , you were doing a lot with them. It was work, it was home, it was driving together, it was sleepovers. And I was like, oh yeah , that is a lot. And especially following a breakup. So yeah. Aurosa, thank you for what you said about what is serving me because that is a good point and that's kind of what I've been thinking about was like I'm not getting the like I hear that relationships are like banks and you got to make deposits and I'm making a lot of deposits and a lot of effort and I'm not getting any of it back. I think that's a good thing to keep in mind. Well, thank you so much Naomi for calling us and I hope you have an amazing day, best of luck at the grocery store. Bye, Naomi. Thank you so much. Hey Miles, the local soundcloud rapper wrote and released a song about me and then acknowledged me in the sinky sections of his album. Please help Oh this is you think it's a nice song or you think it's a distraction Miles. No acknowledgement by the site it's crazy to write a distract and then thank them and then thank you much. I mean that is kind of iconic though Thanks for your inspiration. Thanks. Thanks. You suck, you fuckin' loser. Thanks. Thanks for the inspiration. Thanks shout out to Miami. Yeah. I feel like we got to hear this song or the very least listen to the lyrics. Absolutely. Hello, you go up every version and I'm here to call you back. I'm here with Rosha My daughter Rosha. Hi . Hello. We are going to need a fake name for you coming right from Aras.h Hi. A Rasha, what is the fake name? Let's call this person Birth. Birth. What a name. Birth. Birth. Thank you so much for being here. Birth. Birth, why don't you tell us all about how you were the muse or subject of a song by a soundclad rapper. What happened to who is this person? Oh, we're going to need a fake name for the soundclad rapper. Soundclad rapper is of course a child birth and child. Birth and child in birth. Child wrote this song about Yui, what's going on? Well, sorry, I'm freaking out a little bit. So Child is fourteen years older than me . He is yeah, wow. He works at a local bar. We very briefly had a thing where we kissed once a year ago . And he was so enamored with that singular kiss that a year ago he wrote this song . And I can not it's a flattering song. Okay . For sure. Yeah, sure. I don't I'm trying not to give too much away, right? How old are you how old are you ? I'm twenty three . Okay, so you're twenty three . He's like in his thirties. He's a bartender. thirty ' s. Hung up on a kiss. Hello thirty's hung up on a kiss. That's the song. And so he wrote this song and now you're sort of just like , how do I move on? Do I kind of maybe, you know , how did you find out the song was out? I live in a town with a very prolific music scene that I'm also involved in , and everyone's kind of connected, right? We all like I still go to that bar. We like know each other , and his like producer and rap partner is like a really nice guy. And like I know him and he's sort of hooking up with one of my friends and I see all these Instagram posts. It's like the new child album is dropping and I'm like, oh that's interesting and then I see a post that is singles out this Friday and it's the name of the song and I know that the song is about me. I know that that's the song that's about me. Why do you know the song is about you Because he has told me that it's about me . He told me and it was about me and he told me the first time that he performed it that it was about me and what is the lyric like can you what is like a lyric because you know you don't have to give too many details, but what's a lyric from the song that rings true to you . Rings true to me. God, okay. Or that's really embarrassing . She want a sneaky link, like it's very like she wants a piece of me , like can't be public. It's got to be private . Whoa. Okay, bro , she kissed you once. Public, you know, it's got to be private. Once a piece of me because she kissed me once. Whoa, whoa. Okay, well now I guess I want to hear more lyrics because I really do, but I also want to know the context of what happened and what the song is about. So yeah. How would you describe what happened between you and child ? Maybe we shouldn't have gone with the bar, right? And I used to go to this bar when I first moved to the town that I live in because I didn't really know anyone and it was like a spot to hang out that you could like meet a lot of cool people. So I used to go to this bar and I would knit. And I would sit in this bar and I would knit because that's the kind of person that I am. Let's go. And we like talked and we were flirting and like because I can be a very flirtatious person and I didn't really know anyone. I was very b ored. And then he started texting me a bunch . And talked a little bit. We talked about like musics and stuff because I write poetry and music and he liked the stuff that I wrote. And then we'd write a little bit and then one time we were like, he picked me up from a bar I was hanging out at and we were in his car and we kissed once and I was like, that was cool, but I don't want to do that again. Okay, bad kiss, bad kiss. Bad kiss it was a fine kiss. It was just I wasn't really that into him. No, he's not really my type and I yeah, I just, you know, I didn't want to mix business and pleasure too much. Didn't want it to be super awkward if it didn't work out. Right. Yeah, he just I wasn't really feeling it. Totally. It was sort of like a one and done. You're like, this is fine and I'm good. And then he went and sort of did you get the impression that it meant a lot to him? Oh I didn't get that impression , but it apparently did because he wrote this song about me. He's performed it several times in the last year before it has released. It just released a week ago . And in between that period of when he wrote the song and before it released, he got into a relationship with a girl and they broke up . And during that relationship , I was such a contentious point that this girl who is always the girl because she's a fully grown woman, who is also his age , blocked me on everything, made it seem like I was after him that I was crazy, that I wanted her man. I made a relationship this whole time, by the way that they've been together. Like I got into a relationship several months from now . Oh my god block. Sorry, the block from the girlfriend is blocked crazy. Crazy. The block is crazy, like from no movement on your part. You're fucking blocked. You're blocked, bitch. You're bitch. Anybody that yeah, anybody that my man kissed? Yeah. You're crazy for him. Oh my God, that's so so okay, this worries me. It worries me because like I'm worried about this because to me it means that he was talking about you a lot to her. Oh yeah . Oh yeah. I wouldn't doubt it. Right? Oh my gosh . So the other wrench in this Miles, also by the way, the fart sound over the phone is insane. That's what I've heard. If he released the album, there are hard copies of the CB's and I am listed in the acknowledgement section . Right . Right. There's nothing like kind of honestly I have to respect it a little bit. Oh yeah. Like there's nothing funny about being like having a bunch of flings with different people and then like putting them in the acknowledgements. Right. Well, it's also just like, I feel like when people want to like do a little like sub tweet like that. Yeah , you just like leave it out there for people to discover. Yeah, but this man's is like, no, I need her to know. I want her to know. I'm gonna list her name in the acknowledgement. What was the last time you talked to him? Well, like three days ago. Like we still see each other . Oh , you're he's still like a friend of very small town. Friend is a really strong word, but we're like friendly. We're cordial, you know, it's we don't live in a super big area. We see each other often. Oh yeah, okay cool. So it's like he's around. Okay, so this is so interesting. I think you gotta go to the show . I think you gotta learn the lyrics. I think you gotta learn the lyrics. I think you gotta wrap them with him. Special guest child birth. This is the rise of your career. You get that executive producer credit. I also think this is like, yeah, by the way, EP, you better be getting Riz on that. Yes. I kind of think this is like a Rasha, dare I say this is a little charming . No one hundred, percent , I truly would be honored . I hate to say it, but I'm kind of like okay, like this isn't so bad. But as long as like this guy feels like he's like a non threatening guy that's around and he clearly like kind of his feelings for you in a very vague sensibilities. Yeah, I think this is a case of like you guys have different experiences and both are completely valid. You are so allowed to like see maybe where this interest is going and then you're like, oh kiss was mid, I'm not really into this. I'm moving on. Completely valid. On his end, I think it's also valid that he maybe put a little bit more into that. He probably is still thinking about you, which is, of course, flattering. You're not really interested , but then he's using those feelings in his art and creating this song, which you say again is also not mean. It's nice. It's a good song . It's a good song. It's not super mean. There's a part of the hook that implies that like I wasted his time . Yeah, we don't like that. We don't like that. Which is not super timed No. After you pull you needed to be private, you needed a private whatever. You know she was trying to do a sneaky link with you and then you wasted his time . I'm sorry. Sorry . No, I'm so sorry. We should all only kiss people that we're gonna get married to for sure. Oh, puritanical much. Yeah. Right . Yeah. Misogyny. Here we go. Okay. Absolutely. My aunt with this is like , you know , yeah, you don't want that out there, but also art, you know, it's as we've learned on this show before in the past, it sort of is based on the experience and then the song kind of, you know, and we've talked actually a lot about song as people write about other people in the show. And I kind of think it's like he probably had this inspired off of you, but then it was like then it becomes its own piece of art. Yes. You know, then it becomes its own kind of thing. Absolutely. Yeah , I don't think you have to take this personally birth . I think I think this is an honor that you were somebody's muse for their music . And I think there is sort of the separation that now you get to have of like do not feel responsible for everything. Do not. And also I encourage you not to cling to any of the words that he's saying, exactly what Miles just said. Like, it could represent you , it could not. You being listed in the acknowledgements could be anywhere from inspiration to direct link. Totally. So rid yourself of any of the guilt and let us let us truly emphasize that you have done nothing wrong . I also want to come clean here and say that I hooked up with someone and then they wrote a song about me and I won't give too many more details than that because I don't want people to find a song. I'm going to dig I was flattered and I was like this is great. Like, you know, they sent me the song too. I was like, great, this is great. But I think I was just like, yeah, this is this person's artistic expression of you know, sort of loosely based on an experience we had, but it was like more just, yeah, once it becomes art, then it's then it's that person's own thing. Yeah. Now I could be mad at that. Well, now I'm mad because I'm the only person in this trio who hasn't had a song about you . Yeah, that's actually really embarrassing. So child that you're out there. Don't be embarrassed at all, Arasha. It's a double edged sword for sure. You're right. I kind of think actually what you should do is put like do a story and then add that song as the story song. Or I could go kiss people. Oh, that's interesting. But I kind of think like you can do a cryptic post. I think you would get a kick out of that too. And then like Spotify add to thing. Yeah, yeah. And then it would be is the song on Spotify ? Yeah, it's on all streaming platforms . Hell yeah. Is it doing well? Is it doing numbers don't know. I have no idea . I would be tracking these analytics. Let me tell you, I'd be hitting view insights. Yeah, view insights, right, click . Well, thank you so much for calling us. I really appreciate it. Bea, I think that you got to be like posting this, being like, sorry, I am a muse , boom. People, you know, yeah. Like this is kind of cool. Okay , so we're posting it. I think so. Post it. Post it. And if he tries to, you know, if you guys ever have a conversation about it, I always think the most can hold the most power by like really separating yourself from it. Did you see this actually reminds me of a thing that happened in pop culture? Hello, pop culture alarm . Did you see the okay, you know the song by role model? Yes Sally when the rhines winds out did you see that and obviously okay so this is like Cameron posted a video to it yes I did okay so Role model and Emma Chamberlain used to be dating, right? Right. And then they broke up at some point. Okay . Now, RoModel wrote a whole album basically about Emma Chamberlain. Like a lot of the songs are inspired about her. Okay. And so S whenally the Ryan Ryan runs out is like kind of they're all kind of about her . And some of them like have her middle name in it, whatever. And I like Role model a lot. I think he's a great musician. Sure. And I like Emma Chamberlain a lot. But then Emma Chamberlain posted a lip sync to that song that is about her . And I was kind of like , whoa , I guess that's fine because he wrote a song about their breakup. She didn't get mad at that. And then he came mad at her for like posting a lip sync about the I just thought it was really like bold and brazen and I was like, this is wild. Like I think it's awesome because that I feel like is the new thing that people need it's not new, but people I think should understand, it's what we're saying kind of about experiences is even if somebody else is, you know, let's say they had something happen to them and then they talk to you about it , you now have an experience of receiving that information totally. And that's a new experience entirely. No one is greater or more affected, but it's just a different experience. And so then it's just such an interesting concept of like who gets to discuss this experience? Whose feelings are valid and what experience are we claiming to be true? Like it's just everybody is interacting with everything and every experience that we hear about other people having, we are also experiencing them experiencing it. Totally. And so I think there's just that understanding of like we can't just claim or we can't just think, oh, this person is saying like their story and that must be the truth. Right. Yeah. There's so many angles to it. Totally. Like, imagine if Sabrina Carpenter covered driver's license like I would freak out. That would be so fucking sick. I think everybody would so pissed off . But that's the thing is like people probably would be mad at Sabrina Carpenter, but that Olivia Rodrigue z song that's kind of vilifying her. Right. And S thenabrina Carpenter I think wrote a song also sort of about that same thing. Wait, that was against Sabrina Carpenter? Yeah, driver's license. You're probably with that blonde girl, the one you always told me not to worry about is Sabrina Carpenter . Wait, you didn't know this? Oh my god, I'm reheating old tea from five. Does not know what Russia? Russia I don't know things You probably won't get a wrong girl. You're what you told me not to worry about or whatever. That's I just thought general blonde girl. No, Joshua Bassett then was dating and then it was pretty carpenter, and then Spritty Carpenter and whatever. Oh, wait, no, no, no, no, no, you're right. You're right because then taste came out and then she slided Olivia, right ? Because she hired Jenna in the music video. Oh, I don't know about that, but I know Miles but I appreciate no , technically because I liked b aoy is the response to driver's life. Correct. That's what I'm saying. Because I liked a boy. Yeah, all because I liked a boy. When this had all gone down, we'd already broken up. It was like about that relationship . Yes, Miles. And I think that that song rocks actually. So they're not friends, Olivia and Sabrina. No, they're like, I think they should do, I think that they should fucking sing together and I think it would break the world because they're both really talented. But I don't think that they are really seen together or interact at all. Give them a few years. Yeah, but like, you know if they did a fucking song together, everyone would freak out. Can't wait for that. I'd be so sick. All right, well, thank you so much for calling Berth. Thank you so much, Miles. I just want to say really quick. I was at the Philly Live Show. That's great . And you did my advice at the time for the rapid fire and then during the meeting greet gave me actually some of the best advice I've ever gotten that I still do kind of carry with me and it really helps me at the time. Oh my god, I'm so happy to hear that. That is wonderful. Well very great to chat with you again and I think we're coming back to Philly before the end of the year so I hope I see you again soon. That would be so great. All right, thank you so much, Miles. All right, thank you. Vivir That's too sweet. That's too sweet. So kind of I know. That's so great. Yeah. It's so cool that when we do the live shows, people will be like, I'm so and so collar, like at the meeting greets and stuff. It's really wonderful. Oh my, well, just also to hear that like anything you've said has stuck with somebody . Because then again, you think about people's words that have stuck with you and you're like , that means the world to me. So if I'm providing that for another person, like how rewarding? That's really great. Speaking of great , it's time for one of our final segment we have called get real . This is a segment where we force a genuine moment in an effort to learn more about each other and ourselves. Okay , Arasha, here we have found ourselves at the end of it all. I need this actually. whatever. We talked about therapy, getting our therapists to like them, etc . What is a personal goal or piece of growth that you are trying to champion for yourself currently right now in
